get home from stupidly-hot mandatory July 4th family gathering (#2 of at least 4)

open fridge in a bit of a daze to grab a drink

feel something drip onto my foot

it is on my drink but is not from my drink

look back in fridge

the big-ass mixing bowl full of this plum sauce @mixterglacia made earlier this week has somehow cracked all the way down the side and every surface on the lower half of the fridge is covered in red plum sauce

several cups worth of horrible, red, sticky plum sauce

and it has pooled in not just the drawers but also some of the shelves on the fridge door

it's all cleaned up now but jesus FUCK WHAT HAPPENED

this mixing bowl has held up to everything else, there was no heat to break it, and it was far back enough on the middle shelf that idk how anything would have hit it in a way that the entire side would just. crack in half like that

this is what I get for thinking "hmm I need to wipe down the fridge sometime soon"
