On my dash, this post is followed by two social justice posts, haha. But I feel you. I follow a lot of SJ tumblrs because they can be interesting and make good points, but some of it makes them seem like they are LOOKING to get offended.

I'm taking ages to answer but I hope that's fine. Well, I've seen good posts about social themes, of course, but also seen SJ contradicting themselves in order to criticize stuff. And honestly, some criticisms seem so pointless to me, mainly when they come from people who complain about the fact that our society is often and easily judgemental about people. And social criticism in tumblr sound like such a niche way to do it. I mean, you can be very relevant points, but I think you'll probably reach people who already agreed with you, which is the reason they follow you in first place.

I guess I just think if you have criticism about anything, expressing how much you're offended may not the best way to approach the subject. When you seem to be offended, you might also seem parcial and biased, and it looks like the subject is more of a personal matter than of a really social matter. Of course I might be understanding the whole thing in a completely wrong way. Maybe I'm getting it all wrong - all I said here is just, like, MY OPINION, man, quoting the big lebowski.

I don't really see any problem at all with the existence of social justice tumblrs - I think you use tumblr to get in touch with things you're interested in - or, at least, that's what I do. If you care about these social questions, go for it. But you have to know your preocupations are not everyone's preocupations - even if you think yours are really relevant. People think different things, and it is pretty useless to get offended by this fact.

Seriously. Sometimes you just need fuel and sometimes it has to come in the form of quick, easy processed food. Sometimes I’ll eat a cookie before running out the door just because I know it’ll power me through a shift better than an apple.

ate four brownies last night fuck anyone who judges, they are just jealous they don’t feel good enough about themselves to eat yummy shit and not attach guilt to it.

for real! plus like, w these events, it was 15 minute break at work food. like i'm going to go all out and make a healthy snack for a break from work. i want fast, easy sustenance i can grab on my way out the door almost late. you don't know what i eat the rest of the day.

i feel sad for people who attach guilt to food!! food is something that is necessary for life. people need to calm down with their food judgements, as long as you like what you're eating and you arent getting scurvy or something, who the fuck cares?
