This is a great example of why you SHOULD NOT NEVER PAY COLLECTIONS‼ 6 Reasons Why You Should NEVER PAY COLLECTIONS!! 1. You don't owe them. 2. It won't come off your credit report when you pay it unless you get a written agreement that they will delete it upon payment. 3. It won't help or increase your credit score unless it gets removed completely. 4. If they had proper conclusive proof that you owed them they would've took you to court. 5. They paid pennies on the dollar to take over your debt that's why they are willing to settle for way less because they win if you pay anything. 6. Did I mention that you don't owe them and some even tack on fees and interests.
