A few months ago, I did something I don’t typically do, I made a bet with a student. The bet went like this: if she passed my class and her bio class (two classes she’d been struggling to find motivation in), my co-teacher and I would buy WWE shirts in accordance to the characters she’d assigned us. If she did not pass her classes, we would burn her John Cena shirt. While I had no intention of actually burning her shirt, she insisted every day that we pick out our shirts and save up the money because it would soon be time to buy them.
