Intel Bravely Reinvents Google Glass
It was a very iconic moment when Google released the very first pair of wearable smart glasses, Google Glass. It mesmerized many of us and for others, they took one look at the $1500 price tag and ran the other way. Was it a failure from the start, considering Google tends to stumble and fall when it comes to producing hardware. For example, project Ara sadly ended last year after not much success. There are others who have attempted this like Vue or other models seen on Amazon, but even Intel earlier this year decided to give up on their Vaunt smart glasses. I always thought by 2018 we would have smart eyewear all figured out with the technology we have access to. I guess it's much more difficult than I presumed! However, Intel decided to get in on this glass project named Recon Jet smart eyewear that Google abandoned.

Very similar to the Glass, except much more stylish and refined, the Recon Jet looks futuristic. Appearing like a bluetooth earpiece that sits in front of your eyes so it is easy to view for the user. Although many people think this is a AR or VR device, with its function this is more partially VR. It projects a small screen in front of the users eye providing you with relevant health information and stats.

The Recon Jet easily syncs up to your mobile device, both Apple iPhones and Androids. Mostly created for athletes by athletes, the Jet will monitor how you are doing and will even navigate for you while you're on that run or long bike ride. Last, but certainly not least, it costs just a third of what the Google Glass does! Designer: Recon Instruments Buy Now: $499.99
