Department of Hotel Management organized an industrial visit to Jaypee Vasant Continental, Vasant Vihar. Our first-year students have learned & got a glimpse of the hotel internally. It was a great visit. Students had great learning & fun too.

Why is Bed Making important in hotel housekeeping? Guests will always appreciate comfortable and neatly made beds. It is part of our job in the hospitality industry to make sure that we do everything we can to make the guest's stay a happy one. It is not enough to have OK service; the service must be excellent so that the guest will keep coming back. For that, we have conducted a practice session for the students of Ist, IIIrd & Vth semesters on Bed Making, where students have learned about the types of linen, its process & technique to make a good, neat & comfortable bed. The session was conducted by Vaibhav Gaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Hotel Management.

Baking cookies is an activity that brings back so many memories for us, whether it’s making Christmas cookies or chocolate, coconut & vanilla cookies.

The joy & love that fills us makes us remember those special moments spent making the cookies with our special ones.

Our final year students prepared different types of cookies in bakery practicals & thoroughly enjoyed the process.

Mr. Jishnu Mallik, Learning & Development Manager from The Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development came for an extraordinary session for introducing our students to the Dharma of the Oberoi Group & what the Oberoi's look for in their future employees at our campus JIMS VK II. It was a wonderful guest lecture for all who want to become a part of the Oberoi Group of Hotel & Resorts in the future & also for students who want to have a successful career in the hospitality industry. The students of the IInd & IIIrd year had taken active participation in the session to enhance their knowledge about the skills required to succeed.

Bread is a staple food prepared from a dough of flour (usually wheat) and water, usually by baking. Throughout recorded history and around the world, it has been an important part of many cultures' diets. It is one of the oldest human-made foods, having been of significance since the dawn of agriculture, and plays an essential role in both religious rituals and secular culture. Some of the bread was prepared by the IInd semester students during bakery practicals at the college premises.

JIMS VK II, Department of Hotel Management organized a Mocktail & Tea Coffee drive in Food & Beverage Service practical at the college premises. Students of IV & VI semesters have taken active participation. Dr. Satish Dogra, Director of the college tasted it and appreciated the students. Pinacolada, Litchi Mojito, Orange Blossom, Black sun kiss, Blue Lagoon, Tea like Apple Cinnamon Tea & Banana Tea was the special attraction of the practical. Keep it up !!!

In the past, Mr. Kush Kapoor has been associated with various renowned chain of hotels such as The Taj Mahal New Delhi , Area General Manager of The Bird Group , Resident Manager - Leela Kempinski Hotels & Residences , Gurgaon and presently holding position as CEO with Roseate Hotels & Resorts Aerocity New Delhi The topic of the guest lecture was “ Career in Hotel Industry at Roseate Hotels & Resorts - Aerocity New Delhi India & UK . " The guest speaker professionally guided our Hotel Management students for gearing up their career in the Hospitality Sector. He also shared his past work experiences with the students. In the interactive session, the speaker answered the questions of the students and satiated their curiosity on career in various Departments , how to crack the interview and shared with our students various Management Training programs , Hierarchy / Rank in File at Roseate Hotels & Resorts - Aerocity New Delhi India & UK & post pandemic Scenario in Hospitality Industry . His Virtual Guest Lecture was really very informative & so memorable at his distinguished directives. Our HM Students were thoroughly enjoyed & overwhelmed by his expertise on the professional front.
