It’s been an absolute treat to read this gorgeous Celestial Kingdom duology with bestie @keeperofpages and I really feel like we’ve been on an epic journey together through a magical kingdom, filled with intriguing creatures, dangerous enemies and strong female power and independence. ⁣ ⁣ In the previous novel, Daughter Of The Moon Goddess, Xingyin is fighting to free her imprisoned mother. In this follow up, we see a new threat when a new form of magic is uncovered. This type of magic leads to a relentless desperation in taking ownership of it and leaves our female lead in a very precarious situation as she prepares to give up everything she holds dear in order to save the ones she loves and protect her kingdom from villainy. ⁣ ⁣ This novel was pure escapism and I loved every moment of it. The world is created so imaginatively and delicately, and the detail is so extraordinary that the reader is able to appreciate every little moment.
