best decision you can ever make is to let your characters be cringe. even just a little. because people irl as a whole are, in fact, cringe.
#tired of this insistence that dialogue / etc in media has to be Perfect as if people don't casually talk like complete idiots irl#because WE DO#best pro-cringe example I can think of is s.tar w.ars bc the dialogue was cringe yeah but that is half of the fun#and look at all the quotes and memes we have because of it. the cringe is iconic.#24/7 perfectly constructed sentences and logical patterns in dialogue are bullshit. listen to how the people around you talk day to day.#like yeah if your characters are Super Intelligent or whatever maybe they're prone to this less#but don't be afraid to let them be pathetically human when they talk sometimes#let your characters say stupid cringey or even edgelord shit#I promise you your quality of life will improve
