In India, the medical tourism sector has expanded during the past few years. It is anticipated to increase to $9 billion by 2020 from $3 billion in 2015. A growing number of people are traveling in quest of more accessible, higher-quality healthcare options as a result of globalization. Patients from throughout the world are drawn to these nations because of their affordable healthcare, accessibility to cutting-edge medical technology, and increased conformity with international quality standards.
Around 185,000 patients traveled to India in 2014 for a variety of procedures and procedures. With so many medical tourists traveling to the nation from the US, UK, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Iraq, Oman, Maldives, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Saudi Arabia, the number is only rising.
Due to their proximity and the simplicity of obtaining a medical visa, major cities like Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Delhi see the greatest influx of international patients, mostly from South Eastern nations. Patients primarily seek out bone marrow transplants, cardiac bypass surgery, eye surgery, and hip replacements.
Despite the fact that several cities are drawing a sizable number of medical tourists, Kolkata, with its quickly expanding healthcare infrastructure, has the potential to become a significant medical tourism destination for South Asia. Some of the largest hospitals in the nation are located there. In addition, private healthcare organizations like AMRI Hospitals, one of the best hospitals in Eastern India, offer special deals and NRI health cards to foreigners and Indians living in the US, UK, UAE, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and other nations across the world.
It's not only a cost-effective choice but also a great chance to travel the nation. Without sacrificing the quality of the care, many people budget for their operations or other medical procedures.
With its rapidly expanding healthcare infrastructure, Kolkata has a strong chance of becoming a center for health tourism for Bangladesh and Nepal in South East Asia, according to Debashis Sen, principal secretary of West Bengal's urban development department.
The West Bengal government has given land to a number of upcoming healthcare facilities, including the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, Shankara Nethralaya, a global organ transplant hospital, and a number of other specialty hospitals at Rajarhat New Town, in an effort to improve the state's medical infrastructure.
One of the city's primary medical centers is the Rajarhat-based Tata Medical Centre for Cancer Research. In the state, development is also underway on a facility for cardiac foreign patients. Land has been set aside by the government for the construction of a trauma centre and a paramedical science school.

Indian-Scottish character practicing Hinduism from boarding school
@viola-cola said:
I have a half-Indian, half-Scottish character named Niraj Ajit Sonar (Ajit being his father's name) born in Scotland. His father is Marathi and immigrated to Scotland, while his mother is white. I'm mostly confident this name makes sense, but thought I should check anyway. My primary concern with this character is showing that he is a practicing Hindu when the story takes place in a boarding school. Beyond him going home for certain important holidays, how might he practice on a daily basis?
The Obvious:
If he’s had a thread ceremony, you could show that he wears it under his clothes at all times. Many Hindu boys tend to have a thread ceremony performed before they are 16.
He might be used to taking his shoes off in his dorm room, as many diaspora South Asians do at home (The American/ British habit of wearing shoes at home still puzzles me to this day, given their preference for carpeting).
The Less Obvious:
Whether or not he chooses to be vegetarian depends on his personal convictions, his family and also his assimilation within the UK, but as a Brahmin who openly consumes and prepares beef, even I have a certain level of guilt about consuming beef, so that’s another cue that communal dining in boarding schools might offer. I can imagine lots of family tension around meals at home where the father has issues with beef that the mother’s family just doesn’t understand (This is heavily pulled from my own life). I’ve made the mistake of almost eating beef in front my Hindu relatives when they come to visit and oof.
Sonar/ Sunar is a goldsmithing last name, so it might be fun to have relatives back in India sending him jewelry (like gold chains) or metal statues of Ganesha or Saraswati (For luck and studies) that he debates over bringing to school. It’s very typical for South Asian relatives who can afford it to send gold jewelry to favored children as gold is perceived as protective in many South Asian cultures. More practically, gold is a highly liquid asset in India. Explaining to my family that I couldn’t possibly wear the elaborate jewelry they sent me in a Western environment or the risks of displaying a sterling silver statue of Ganesha in my dorm room was a particular struggle growing up, but in this case, it could serve as a subtle nod to his caste background as well. In my case, I abandoned the silver Ganesha statue, but I did keep a prayer altar in my room that I offered incense to on a regular basis. Thankfully, my roommates had no issue, but California is also very strict about the protection of religious expression.
Coding Hinduism in British Environments
I think the best way to code his Hinduism is frankly to explore the tensions that the climate of traditional Briish boarding schools/ Oxford/ Cambridge type can provoke for people from former colonies. This struggle strikes me as largely consistent with his Scottish/ Gaelic roots, particularly if he grew up speaking any form of Scots. For all the social mobility opportunities they offer, British boarding schools present real challenges to a person engaged with their non-British heritage. He’ll hear a lot of views on colonialism and his father’s culture (arranged marriages, dietary restrictions, stereotypes, pro-British sentiment, etc.) that directly conflict with his parents’ relatives' stances in borderline offensive ways (Particularly for the Indian side). Even geography lessons could be a potential trigger. Starting from when I was a kid, states like Maharashtra started replacing the British names for regions and cities with their pre-British names (Did anyone wonder why Bombay, Madras and Calcutta became Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata overnight?).
I recommend talking to people of mixed desi heritage living in the UK about their experiences with British racism and xenophobia. Tiktok has a lot of great “POC at Hogwarts” clips that skewer British parochialism with great flair.
- Marika.
He might practice by praying to an idol he brought with him, or wear an elephant necklace. It doesn’t have to be an expensive metal, for the reasons that Marika mentioned. That’s what my dad would do. Mom says he would get up at five AM every day and pray while working as an oncologist.

The need for guidance and responsibility of the adolescent
Even if during primary the student was a motivated child with good results, the teachers from CBSE schools in south Kolkata know that it can happen that in secondary school the situation changes completely. The feeling that he had to face certain difficulties, and the too great pressure of evolution can discourage the students in any English medium school in south Kolkata.
Your child is unmotivated if:
· he is often late for class
· he shuts himself in his room or gets angry when you talk to him about school
· becomes irritable very easily
· he doesn't care that he gave a control paper in which he didn't write anything
· it is difficult for him to anticipate what he has to do in the next three days
· he feels stressed when he thinks he has to think about his future
· he has a headache on the day he has the assessment test
· he has a non-existent social life or his social life cancels his school life
· abandons any extracurricular activity or, on the contrary, gets involved excessively in all such activities
· spends most of his time on the Internet
Establish a clear system of rules!
The desire to be independent is most often manifested through an essential element: the need to escape school and family constraints, which have become a burden for many teenagers.
According to the teachers from the Best co-ed CBSE school in south Kolkata, two are the most widespread causes that determine the lack of motivation and the failure of second-secondary students: either they do not leave the house enough and close themselves in a virtual world of video games or virtual social networks, thus disconnecting from reality, or they go out too much, their friends and passions affecting their school results. These two extremes into which an adolescent can fall very easily can be avoided by establishing, from the beginning of the school year, some rules designed to balance the relationship between social and school life in English medium schools in south Kolkata.
If he breaks the established rules, it is better to give him extra tasks than to forbid certain things. Do not deprive him of the rights you have established that he has, but punish him with additional duties. For example, even if he breaks a rule, he is still allowed to go out with his friends, but only after he cleans the house or after he does the shopping and helps his younger brother with his homework. On the other hand, teenagers should not perceive work only as a punishment. Encourage him to know himself through his work, giving him responsibilities that will allow him to build a positive self-image. Allow him to do his lessons together with a friend or a group of colleagues. It is the ideal method of increasing motivation at this age.
Help him discover his qualities and personal needs!
At the Best co-ed CBSE school in south Kolkata, before establishing his professional priorities (choosing a college, or a job), we emphasise the teenager must be guided to discover his strengths, but also his needs, values, personal tastes, and areas of interest. Parents have a decisive role in this stage because they know their children best. To give the best advice, you don't have to limit yourself only to the school results of the teenager. Take into account his passions, artistic or sports interests. For example, if a high school student sings in a rock band, even if you don't necessarily take him seriously, keep in mind that this can be proof of his creativity and perseverance. The transfer in school life of some skills acquired and recognized in another field can be an important factor of motivation.
Help him turn into a big man!
As parents, you tend to be permanently involved in your child's future. But you have to be careful how you do it. Teachers from the best CBSE schools in south Kolkata advise you to take into account his wishes, the qualities he has, as well as his school level, trying to harmonize these aspects with his aspirations. Regardless of whether you agree or not with the job he wants to choose, try to be objective and talk to him equally about its advantages and disadvantages. Help him to get in contact with people who practice the job in question, to find correct information about it. Help him, therefore, to turn into the big man he always dreamed of.

Such great connectivity makes Joka an ideal location for premium residential projects. Team Taurus’ The County in Joka is located in Pailan. The project is 2.5 km from IIM Joka, and 3 km from the proposed Metro Station.
Home buyers also prefer Joka because of its well-developed social infrastructure. There are top schools, educational institutes, hospitals, banks and malls here. All the parents want their child to have a bright future ahead. Education is the prime factor when it comes to build up the path for the future to come. According to the surveys and researches, most of the children receive and process information in the name of learning.
If you are looking forward to enroll your child in the best CBSE School in South Kolkata, first try to understand your child’s primary learning style.
How Does Your Child Express Himself/Herself?
If your child is more comfortable learning in a certain way, this will be the biggest scope to train him/her. For instance, auditory learners prefer words as a best way of learning. Those students have a tendency to read out loud instead of being quite. On the other hand, visual learners are more apt to express themselves through the mode of facial expression. Therefore they always tend to watch others’ face and take in what the expression says. Besides that, there are also kinesthetic learners who tend to catch the movement activities best. They express themselves most through their body language and different gestures.
Consider Your Child’s Interests:
A child’s primary learning style is majorly influenced by the hobbies and interests. The likes and dislikes of the main three types of learners differ from one to another. Identifying every student’s personal style is a great way to figure out the best learning procedure.
Lastly, keep in mind that making learning fun filled and easier should be the final goal of teaching method.
