Pre-Wedding Makeup Tips
Every girl dreams of becoming the most beautiful bride one day. She considers everything from clothes to shoes to the Indian bridal makeup look she will wear on her special day.
Over the last five years, one additional day has been added to that dream: the pre-wedding shoot day. This is the day when the future husband and wife get together to capture their chemistry.
A bride-to-be has a lot on her mind as the big day approaches. Your to-do list includes dress fittings, photo approvals, cuisine choices, and a lot of packing. While you’re worrying about these details, keep in mind that you also need to look great at all of your pre-wedding events.
This day requires a plethora of the best pre-wedding makeup looks. Many photographs are taken, and because photographs last forever, we’d like to share some simple and useful 10 Pre-Wedding Shoot Makeup Tips with you.
Pre-Wedding Makeup Tips for Brides
To fulfill your aspirations, Brides-to-be, we provide the solution to all of your pre-wedding beauty product concerns.
1. The beautiful shine and glow
As the wedding day gets closer all brides begin to shine naturally. For radiant skin, use light colors on your eyes and pink lips. Contour and highlight your cheekbones and other facial features.
2. Cleansing
We know you’re excited to try out multiple Pre-Wedding Shoot Makeup Looks for your special day. However, our first advice is to take proper care of your skin. Before applying makeup, wash your skin with a light, balanced cleanser. Cleaning your skin should be a part of your daily regimen. Choose a cleanser that targets your specific skin conditions.
3. Little shimmer and bronze finishing
Remember to add some subtle shimmer to your eyes if you’re wearing dark attire or a heavy silky garment. Use the blush to highlight your face as needed.
4. Curling
Curling your hair for your pre-wedding shoot will offer you a wonderful look that will complement most clothes or events.
5. Exfoliating
Over time, a layer of dead skin cells, particles, and filth accumulate on our faces. While washing, toning, and moisturizing are all effective, they occasionally require assistance. We’re talking about exfoliation. To eliminate the remaining pollutants and dead cells, use a moderate exfoliator. If you have sensitive skin, make an exfoliant with gram flour and rose water. Do this at least once a week to achieve clear, glowing skin.
6. Skin treatments
We are confident that skin treatment can work wonders for your skin. However, always conduct research before committing to any treatment. There are numerous safe skin treatments available that not only give you that bridal glow but also heal your skin from various diseases.
Consult an experienced dermatologist about what treatment you should receive prior to your wedding. Getting a facial is also a calming pastime. You can search the internet for Pre Wedding Shoot Makeup Ideas while getting pampered.
7. Hydration
This is one of the most critical yet often overlooked pre-wedding shoot makeup tips. It makes no difference how pricey your skin treatments are; if your skin is dry, it will appear dull on camera. You don’t want to appear boring and exhausted during your pre-wedding photograph, right? Then monitor your water intake.
8. Dark colors of lipsticks and a classy outfit
Wearing beautiful attire with dark lip colors like burgundy or maroon is long-lasting and picture-perfect. They will rejuvenate the beauty of your face, even if you are dull or fatigued from the shoot.
9. Makeup trials
Pre-wedding shoot makeup is different from wedding-day makeup. This is why you should ask your makeup artist for a makeup trial of the pre-wedding shoot makeup look at least a week before the big day.
10. Go for some slim tight dress for a hot chick look
If you want to relive your youth with your pre-wedding shoot, opt for a slim tight bodycon if you have a slim shape to achieve a hot appearance, complete with blood-red lip color and straight hair.
11. Eyes and lips to be highlighted
Bridal makeup usually highlights the eyes and lips. If you want your makeup to last all day, utilize streak- and waterproof formulations. Artificial eyelashes or lash extensions will make your eyes stand out in photos since they add drama to them.

Sometimes A Bride | Jake Seresin x Reader
18+ only, minors DNI
Jake Seresin x female Bradshaw!reader
part two of Always A Bridesmaid
Synopsis: You’re having some pre-wedding jitters and there’s only one person you know can help calm you down.
or
You and Jake sneak off for a quickie before the two of you say ‘I do.’
WC: 11.5k (another long one oops)
warnings: a smidgen of angst?, anxiety, mentions of alcohol, smut, fingering, unprotected piv, slight overstimulation, i think jake calling reader a good girl deserves a warning, unspecified age gap (reader is in around mid-late 20s, jake is in early-mid 30s), once again jake being too damn charming for his own good, tonssss of disgustingly sweet tooth-rotting fluff, really sweet fluffy moments with big bro bradley, natasha being the best sister-in-law and maid of honor, jake still being an absolute menace, i'm literally the worst at coming up with titles for my fics, moodboard is not any indication of reader’s appearance
a/n: The very long-awaited (I’m sorry 🤍) sequel to Always a Bridesmaid. Thank you so much to everyone who’s stuck around and shown the first part so much love and support, and waited so patiently for this story! I love y’all
beautiful dividers by @saradika-graphics 🤍

You love weddings.
It's a fact you try to remind yourself of as you take a deep breath, taking in your reflection in the vast vanity mirror.
Hair styled to pristine perfection, professionally done makeup better than anything you’d ever be capable of doing yourself, in a gorgeous white dress that fits just right and makes you feel more beautiful than ever.
You love weddings. You love the fancy clothes, all the chatter and the sweet scent of champagne flowing through the air at the reception, the contagious laughter and dancing.
But, most of all, you love getting to watch two people profess their love for each other and promise themselves to one another for the rest of their lives through beaming smiles and tears of joy.
It’s been a little over three years since Bradley and Natasha said ‘I do’, and after meeting the love of your life at your big brother’s wedding, how could you not love them?
Three years since that fateful night that you met Jake and both of your lives were changed forever, and the two of you have been pretty much inseparable ever since. Well, nearly ever since.
Initially, both you and Jake were scared by just how much you liked one another.
After spending the night together at your brother’s wedding — and the morning after — you had feared that it was just that rose-colored haze of love in the air that comes along with weddings, and you wondered if that magical pixie dust was going to wear off eventually — and take your feelings with it.
But it never did.
Even at the beginning, back when Jake had tried to push down his feelings for you and said he couldn’t offer much more than no strings attached fun, ‘because I’m going to be away on deployments and dangerous missions all the time, and because you’re Bradshaw’s little sister.’
Because he ‘didn’t have time for anything serious’ – but really, because he was afraid of just how strongly he felt for you – even then, you were so drawn to him and Jake couldn’t deny how much he enjoyed spending time with you.
How he thought about you and that amazing night you’d spent together nearly every second of every day.
From the moment he’d wake up in his boring, lonely apartment, to the hours spent in briefings or flying dangerous maneuvers in his F18, to the moment he’d go to sleep alone every night in his bed that all of a sudden seemed too big.
And, what scared Jake the most was that it wasn’t just the sex – though, that was definitely a great part of it – that he yearned for. It was just you.
You, with your bright eyes and your radiant smile, your melodic laugh and effervescent personality. You had quickly wormed your way into his heart and lit him up from the inside out.
He no longer found himself wanting the mundane and meaningless hook-ups or one night stands that places like the Hard Deck had to offer, which had become routine for him since his time as a young pilot at Top Gun.
You brought Jake’s world from dull grayscale to vibrant technicolor and he found that he just always wanted you around.
He’d never felt that way about anyone before, and it terrified him.
You’d never wanted anyone so bad, and you were fearful that it wasn’t going to last.
But, try as you might, the two of you just couldn’t seem to stay away from each other for long.
Once Jake got his head out of his ass and he took you out on a few proper dates – which, naturally, ended in you fucking each other’s brains out a few more times – you both agreed to try to take things slow, because your feelings for each other were real and neither one of you wanted to mess things up.
However, you quickly learned that there was no such thing as slow when it comes to you and Jake. Before you knew it, things between the two of you had become pretty serious, and you realized – much to your brother Bradley’s dismay, that the two of you share a very real connection.
Through all of the ups and downs — triumphs and hardships, happy times and tears, the silly fights and even sillier make-ups that these past three years have brought the two of you.
From going mad missing each other when Jake is away on deployments, up until his recent request for a more permanent position at Top Gun so he can be closer to home – closer to you – you and Jake have stuck together through it all like super glue.
Three years of unconditional love and support, of growing and becoming better together, loving and living life with your best friend.
You’ve never been quite sure if you believe in the concept of soulmates, but if they do exist, you’re positive that Jake is yours.
And, you love weddings… so why are you currently freaking the fuck out, today of all days? Oh, right… because it’s your wedding day.
You’re pretty sure that your vision is beginning to blur, your body growing a little dizzy as you watch the constant stream of people flitting all around you through the glass of the large vanity mirror.
Your bridesmaids chatter excitedly as they too work to finish getting ready, sipping from mimosas as they make their way into their dresses while Natasha – the best sister-in-law and best maid of honor you could ever ask for – helps to keep everyone focused and on schedule.
She paces the room with her phone in hand, probably texting Bradley to make sure things are running smoothly in the groomsmens’ suite as well.
There are at least three people at any given moment hovering around you like bees, fussing over your hair, doing last minute touch-ups on your makeup, and making sure there’s not a wrinkle in sight on the beautiful wedding gown of your dreams that you’re oh-so nervous for Jake to finally see.
Not nervous because you’re worried he won’t like it – he’s told you plenty of times that he’d be more than happy to marry you if you were wearing a trash bag – but because this is your big day, the beginning of the rest of your lives together and you just want it to be perfect.
After all the months of painstaking planning – from centerpieces to seating charts, the choosing the color of the napkins to the dinner menu and countless trials of cake flavors. From finding the perfect venue, to the best floral arrangements, and of course the dream wedding dress.
After being so hyper-focused on this day for months, now that that day is actually here, you just need everything to be perfect.
Not even the two and a half mimosa’s you’ve had this morning have been enough to quell the stress currently coursing through your veins, and the buzz of the busy bridal suite is beginning to make your head spin.
Between all of the running around you’ve done since waking up — way too early — this morning, the little bit of alcohol and all the commotion going on around you now, your face feels too hot, a tiny sheen of sweat beginning to shine through your makeup.
You can’t help but wonder if Jake is feeling this flustered right now too. Probably not, the man is cool and calm about just about everything; it’s one of the things you love about him.
As the makeup artist powders your nose for the fifth time in ten minutes in an attempt to tamper down the shine, you feel your resolve beginning to crack. You try to take in a deep breath to shake the nerves, but feel as though there’s not enough air in the room to fill your lungs and you find yourself feeling like you need to escape.
As if she can sense your distress from all the way across the room, Natasha — ever the dutiful maid of honor — materializes behind you with a comforting hand on your shoulder, politely excusing the makeup artist and everyone else that’s currently milling around you, before meeting your gaze through the mirror with a gentle smile.
Though, you know your sister-in-law too well and you can see the concern in her brown eyes.
“You okay?” When Natasha gives your shoulder a comforting squeeze, you close your eyes and heave out a deep sigh, grateful for a moment of calm.
It’s in the same moment that you open your eyes and give her a nod and an unconvincing smile that there’s a knock on the bridal suite door just behind you, and you turn your head to find Bradley opening it a crack and peeking his head in.
“Everyone decent?” Your older brother asks, meeting your eyes with a soft look and you swear you could cry.
Through all her running around to help make sure that your day is perfect, you’d seen Natasha on her phone and you figure that, always knowing just what you need, she must have texted Bradley – and that’s exactly what she did.
Natasha had let her husband know that his sister was feeling some pre-wedding jitters and could use some reassurance that she knew you could only get from your big brother, and he immediately made his way from the groomsmens’ suite to come to your aid.
“Yeah, come on in!” Natasha calls out with one last squeeze to your shoulder before meeting Bradley at the door and greeting him with a quick kiss on his cheek.
She gently pushes him towards where you stand in front of the large mirror smoothing your hands over an invisible wrinkle on the flowy white skirt of your dress, before ushering the rest of your bridesmaids and everyone else to the other side of the large suite to put their finishing touches on their looks and give the two of you some privacy.
You turn around to face Bradley, standing there in a classic black suit with a bow tie, and you could swear your brother gets a little misty-eyed as he takes in the sight of you in your lavish white dress, a soft smile pulling at the corner of his mustached lips when he asks, “You okay, sis?”
You think about lying for a second and telling him that you’re just fine, but this is Bradley -– your big brother and self-appointed protector for all your life, even when you don’t always want or need him to be, and you know that he’d be able to see right through you.
Blowing out a small sigh, you carefully take a seat on the plush couch that sits in the nearest corner, making sure to arrange all the layers of fabric that surround your lower half in a way that they won’t become too wrinkled.
“Honestly… I’m kind of freaking out.” You tell your brother as he joins you on the sofa. Your voice is barely above a whisper, just loud enough that he’s able to hear due to his close proximity.
You’re looking down at where you nervously wring your hands in your lap when Bradley speaks.
“Why? You’ve got nothing to worry about.” His words are matter-of-fact, but his voice is soft in that comforting, brotherly tone that’s only reserved for you.
“I- I don’t know.” You tell him with a light shake of your head. “I guess I’m just nervous?”
The words come out as a question and your gaze lifts to meet Bradley’s before you continue on.
“You know, it’s such a big, important day that I’ve spent so long dreaming of and planning for and– that I’m going to remember for the rest of my life and I just…” your voice trails off as you realize you’re rambling, stopping to take a breath before you continue.
“I just love Jake so much and I… I just want everything to be perfect.”
Bradley takes in your frazzled expression, nodding in understanding. “You’re right, it is a big deal, and it’s totally normal to have some nerves.”
The pensive look on his face shifts to one of what looks like amusement as he glances across the room to where his wife is chatting away with the rest of your bridesmaids, before leaning closer to whisper conspiratorially.
“I was scared shitless when I married Nat.”
Your eyes widen at Bradley’s confession, a small puff of laughter escaping your lips as you question him, “What? Really?”
“Yeah,” Your brother’s smile grows at the sight of your own, a quiet chuckle leaving him. “But, then I remembered that I was marrying my best friend and all of those nerves just sort of melted away.”
“Which is why you should believe me when I tell you–” Bradley reaches over to take your hands in his, his brown gaze warm as he speaks earnestly.
“It’s going to be perfect no matter what happens, because you and Jake will be together.”
Your lips can’t help but quirk up a bit at your older brother’s reassurance. “You really think so?”
“Yeah,” Bradley gives your hands a gentle squeeze. “In fact, I know so.”
“Because, I have never seen you happier than you have been these past few years since you’ve been with Jake.” That small smile never leaves his lips as he continues talking and your heart nearly melts in your chest at the sincerity of your big brother’s words.
“It’s clear that the two of you love each other very much.”
You have to admit it’s a bit of a shock to hear those words from Bradley of all people – sure, things have gotten a lot better between your brother and your fiance over the years, but you’d still consider them frenemies at the best of times.
You realize that you haven’t said anything in response, being too stunned to speak, when Bradley continues on with a knowing smirk on his face as he takes in your dumbfounded expression.
“Trust me, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the idea of you dating Jake in the beginning, but I see how much he cares about you. Above anything else.”
You nod your head in agreement, but not without a laugh and a playful roll of your eyes. With your brother’s reassurance that everything would be okay so long as you and Jake are together, and the reminder of just how much your husband-to-be loves you, now you couldn’t wipe the grin off your face if you tried. “Yeah, he does.”
Bradley takes in the lovesick smile on your face and tilts his head, raising a brow in question. “We feeling better now?”
“Yeah,” Feeling much more calm now, it’s your turn to squeeze Bradley’s hands, nodding happily at him before releasing them. “A lot better. Thank you.”
“Good.” Bradley stands, offering his hands to pull you up off the sofa as well, before pulling you into a hug.
With a quiet instruction to ‘call me if you need me’, your brother releases you from his arms, venturing over to Natasha to place a small peck to his wife’s lips before making his way out the door and back to the groomsmens’ suite.
You really do feel a whole lot better, but all this talk about your fiancé and his love for you, and how truly, utterly happy he makes you, has you missing him. Yearning to be with him in this very moment, and you realize that the only thing that would really put your mind at ease is right now Jake himself.
Jake’s head perks up as the door to the groomsmen’s suite opens for the second time in about fifteen minutes to reveal Bradley, adorning a tux matching that of all the other groomsmen.
It’s still crazy for him to think about the fact that your brother, who was so adamant about you not seeing Jake all those years ago, would be one of the groomsmen at his and your wedding.
“Where’d you disappear to, Rooster?” A relaxed smirk lifts up the corner of Jake’s lips as he fixes his tie in the mirror.
“Just went to check on the bride-to-be.” Jake’s smile softens just a bit at the mention of you.
“You know, I never thought the two of you would last this long, so I had to check and see if my sister was ready to back out yet.”
Bradley drops down onto the sofa next to Bob and Coyote, who are quietly snickering at his teasing of the groom.
“Oh, ha-ha.” Jake’s smirk grows devilish at the joke, turning his sights on the mustached man ready to tease him right back. “Face it, Bradshaw. We’re gonna be brothers real soon.”
Bradley only rolls his eyes goodnaturedly at his soon to be brother-in-law, a fact that Jake has made a point to remind him of, all the time, since the two of you got engaged a little over a year ago.
“How is she, though?” Jake asks, and Bradley can hear the sincerity creeping into the blonde’s tone.
“She’s good. Was just dealing with the usual pre-wedding nerves, but it’s all good now.” Bradley tells him honestly.
Jake only nods in response, already retreating into his head, into his worry for you, causing your brother to speak up again.
“Jake, I promise, everything’s good.” Bradley reassures him with a small smile.
“Yeah… good.” Jake nods once more, making an attempt to paint the best smile he possibly can on his lips.
He’s not worried because he thinks that you might not want this, or him – he knows without a shadow of doubt just how vast your love for him is – but, because he knows how you get when you put your heart into something and that you’ll drive yourself crazy trying to get everything perfect.
Jake’s seen firsthand just how painstakingly you’ve worked to plan this wedding, all the months spent making sure that every little detail is just right.
He knows that all of that time and stress, culminating to this one day, is likely weighing on your mind now that the day has finally come.
And in this moment, Jake wants nothing more than to just be able to see you – to hold you and comfort you and let you know that everything is going to be just fine.
He knows the old superstition that the groom isn’t supposed to see the bride before the ceremony, but…
“Fuck it.”
The two words escape under Jake’s breath just before he’s shrugging on the jacket to his tux and quickly making his way to the door.
“Where are you going, man?” Javy questions his best friend, drawing the attention of the rest of the Daggers — sans Phoenix who’s with you getting ready in the bridal suite — toward where Jake stands in the now open doorway, one hand on the knob and one foot already out in the hall.
“Just gotta check something with the wedding planner. Be right back.”
It’s not a total lie. Sure, you had forgone hiring a wedding planner and chose to do everything yourself — with the help of Natasha and Penny of course -— but that technically made you the wedding planner. The guys don’t have to know that.
Jake traverses the winding halls of the venue, the anticipation of seeing you building up as he walks briskly in his dress shoes until he finds a door with a paper sign that reads, ‘Bridal Suite’ in loopy, cursive lettering.
Taking a breath, he knocks on the door, and he’s lucky to find that a moment later, it’s you who answers.
“What-” Your eyes widen in surprise and you’re hardly able to get a word out as one of Jake’s hands grasps yours, swiftly pulling you out of the door and into the hallway with him.
You don’t get a chance to finish your question, because within seconds your fiancé is practically sprinting down the long hallway, pulling you along with him with his large hand wrapped around your smaller one.
You can't help but giggle at Jake’s antics as the two of you run through the halls, watching his free hand reach for a few knobs along the way only to find them locked, finally stopping when he finds a door that seems to be open.
He quickly peers into the room just to make sure that it’s empty before gently pulling you into the dark space, lit only by the natural light that shines in through the windows, and closing the door.
You're still laughing breathlessly when you find your words again, Jake’s own breathy chuckle mixing with yours in the quiet of the room.
“Wha— Jake? What are you doing, you’re not supposed to see me in my dress before the ceremony!”
“Screw that, my girl needed me.” His warm hand is still in yours, his free hand moving to clasp your other one. That emerald gaze that you’ve come to know so well bores into you as he smiles down at you lovingly.
Your eyes lift to meet Jake’s and it’s like any and all nerves just melt away.
You always feel safe when Jake is near and just the sight of him now, being in his presence, has a toothy grin making its way onto your face.
Another giggle escapes you, trailing off into a content sigh as you look up at the gorgeous man in front of you.
The two of you just gaze into each other’s eyes for a long moment, and with a light shake of your head, your grin becomes coy.
“Hi.” You find yourself whispering into the quiet of the room.
Jake lets out a chuckle, the outer corners of his eyes crinkling up in the way that you love when smiles at you. “Hi.”
Without letting go of your hands, Jake takes a step back to really take you in for the first time since breaking you out of the bridal suite just a few minutes ago.
Finally getting a good look at you in your wedding dress that beautifully accentuates the shape of your body, your makeup done to perfection — though Jake doesn’t think you ever need it — and hair styled prettily but still flowing and free just the way he likes, renders your soon-to-be husband practically speechless.
All he can say is, “Wow…”
You can hear the pure awe in that one word and can’t help but smile bashfully, heat rising in your cheeks. Jake’s compliments still manage to make you flustered, even after all this time.
“Wow, yourself.” Your gaze sweeps up and down the length of his body, taking in the crisp black tuxedo and matching bow tie, and the white dress shirt underneath. Appreciating the way it fits him just right, how you’re still able to tell just how toned his body is even under the layers of clothing.
Jake’s hands tenderly squeeze your own, pulling you a little bit closer once again as his eyes search out your own. “You doing okay, honey?”
And though you were definitely feeling anxious before, you couldn’t be more content than you are now when it’s just the two of you, standing here holding hands with the love of your life.
“Yes,” You nod gently. “I’m just a little nervous.”
You look down at your joined hands before quietly continuing. “I just want this day to be perfect.”
“Hey,” Jake lightly swings your joined hands to get you to look up at him again, and when you do, you see that he’s still wearing that confident smile. “It’s going to be perfect because it’s all coming from you. And everything you do is perfect in my eyes.”
You have to bite back your giggle at his sentiment, in disbelief that this sweet man is soon going to be your husband.
“It’s going to be perfect because it’s us. Together.” You correct him with a playful grin.
“Yeah, you’re right.” Jake’s hands leave yours, wrapping warmly around your shoulders to pull you in for a hug. Nestled in his embrace, your own arms wrap around his middle, your head moving to lean on his chest, taking in the familiar scent of his cologne as he leans his head on top of yours. “Together.”
The two of you stand like that for a few moments, wrapped snugly in each other’s warmth, Jake beginning to sway you just lightly as you breathe each other in.
It’s with your cheek pressed against his pec that you finally take a look around the room the two of you are standing in, realizing that it’s another suite similar to the one you had been getting ready in earlier.
“You know,” You lift your head from Jake’s chest to look up at him as you speak, a playful tone filling your words. “This feels oddly familiar to the night we met.”
“Sneaking off to a dark, empty room,” You continue with a growing smirk, arms unlatching from around Jake’s waist and pulling back just a touch, his own arms falling from around your shoulders. “Just the two of us.”
Your hands slide gently up Jake’s torso over the fabric of his suit jacket, up past his broad shoulders to rest at the back of his neck.
Jake’s gaze leaves you for just a moment to glance at the space around you. An airy laugh leaving his lips as his hands reach for your hips over the soft fabric of your dress to pull you a little bit closer, his green eyes falling back onto you.
Faces just inches away from one another, the two of you share matching silly grins as you think back to the night of your brother’s wedding. A look of pure love and adoration passing between your eyes and his as you both absorb the fact that you’re here, three years later, at your own wedding.
“Yeah, we’re just missing the champagne.”
Jake softly brushes his nose against yours, your eyes fluttering shut as he leans in to connect his lips to yours in a gentle kiss.
Tasting the remnants of the sweet mimosa on your lips, he hums against them before pulling back just slightly. “But it seems like you’ve already got that covered, Sweets.”
The familiar nickname paints his favorite smile on your lips that has Jake diving back in for another kiss, this one deeper as his tongue dips into your mouth to taste the lingering sweetness of champagne and orange juice on your tongue.
His large hands pull you in closer by the waist as your fingers find the short blonde hairs at the nape of his neck, a groan falling from Jake’s mouth and into yours as your fingernails gently scrape along his scalp.
It’s almost embarrassing how quickly your body still responds to his touch after all this time; your knees going weak, and you’re practically melting into him as you feel wetness begin to pool in the skimpy, lacy white panties of your bridal lingerie that you’ve been dying to show Jake since you picked it all out a few months earlier.
The kiss quickly becomes more heated, lips slotting feverishly together as though one can only find much-needed oxygen within the other’s mouth, tongues swirling in a well-known dance and relishing in the familiar taste of one another.
Jake’s hands are all over you, pulling your body flush against his as he sucks your bottom lip between the both of his. Your skin feels hot from his touch even through the fabric of your dress, and the realization of his quickly hardening length pressing against your hip has you mewling against him.
Jake pulls back from the kiss, his gaze still hungry, but you also catch the mirth in his eyes as he chuckles at his bride-to-be.
“Always so needy for me.” He slowly shakes his head with that classic, cocky Jake Seresin smirk that still makes you weak in the knees.
“Me?!” You scoff, eyes wide as you look up at him incredulously, though you’re fighting back a smile because you know he’s right.
“Well, I’d say someone is also pretty needy.”
Your hand leaves the back of his neck to travel between your bodies to prove your point, reaching down to palm at his hard length through the fabric of his dress pants. Your brows raise in a playfully vindicated look that screams ‘I told you so’, as Jake lets out a groan at your touch.
“Yeah, o-okay.” Jake’s chuckle is breathless this time as you cup your hand around him a little more firmly, grinning up at him and batting your lashes. “Always needy for you too, Sweets.”
His hand wraps around your own to remove it from his bulge, already missing the friction as he brings your knuckles up to his lips in a sweet kiss before letting it go.
Before you even know what’s happening, both of Jake’s hands are reaching down to grip your thighs through all the layers of lace and tulle, a squeak emitting from your throat as he sweeps you off your feet and carries you over the nearest wall.
“Jake! What are you-” Your arms circle around his shoulders, legs parting of their own volition to make room for him between them. Bracketing his hips as your back lightly hits the wall, the fabric of your dress all bunched between the two of you exposing your calves as he holds you in his strong grasp.
Large palms wrapped around the underside of your thighs, his weight pressed against your front and the wall at your back keep you upright as you giggle in your soon-to-be husband’s arms.
Jake is beaming back at you, the adoration in his green eyes clear as they crinkle up due to his grin.
“I love you, so much.” He lifts a hand up to your face, the backs of his fingers caressing along the soft skin of your cheek and Jake shakes his head as if he can’t believe that this is real, that you’re real.
He leans in to press a soft, but dizzying kiss to your lips before murmuring against them, “I wanna show you how much.”
A part of you feels like you could cry at the sincerity in his voice, at just how well Jake loves you and how he’s never shy to make it known.
But mostly, you just feel the white-hot pooling of arousal growing in your belly, your eyes glazing over with a look of both love and lust as you gaze back at him.
“Yeah?” You nod up at him in a daze, biting back a grin as you take in the hunger in those pretty green eyes.
“Yeah.” He places a feather-light kiss to the corner of your mouth that makes you whimper and you can feel his smile against your skin. “Let me show you.”
You nod your head again, mind in a haze of want at the feel of his warm breath on your skin, your hands squeezing at Jake’s broad shoulders.
Feeling the velvety-soft fabric of his black suit jacket beneath your fingers, it’s only then that you’re shaken out of your stupor and you remember where you are – what today is.
“Wait-wait, Jake, we can’t!” Your fingers continue to absentmindedly play with the fabric covering his shoulder. We’re supposed to be getting married like… now.”
You can’t help but giggle at the predicament you’ve found yourselves in, though it’s very unsurprising for you and Jake.
Jake’s laugh mingles with your own as you begin to lightly shake your head, and you feel his strong shoulders shrug beneath your grasp as you watch his lips quirk up into a mischievous grin.
“All our guests–” Jake interrupts your words with another quick peck on your lips, laughing at your stunned expression.
“The guests…can wait.” He states matter-of-factly. “Can’t exactly have a wedding without the bride and groom, now can they, Sweets?”
Jake’s smile is smug and you can’t fight the one materializing on your own lips as you continue to shake your head.
“Besides, would we really be us if we didn’t sneak off to have sex at a wedding?” He finishes off the question with a kiss to your jaw before trailing his lips down the column of your throat, lightly nipping at the skin of your neck – careful not to leave a mark – before soothing it with his tongue.
Jake was right. It had happened the night you first met at Bradley and Natasha’s wedding, and had become a tradition of sorts for the two of you at every wedding you’d been to in the three years since – and there have been quite a few.
You can feel your resolve quickly beginning to crumble as Jake presses his hips more firmly against yours, his hard length pressing up against where you need him most, the friction not nearly enough through all the layers of fancy clothing. You’re already soaking through your panties for him and you know you’re a goner.
You drop your head onto Jake’s shoulder with a sigh, before looking back up at him through your lashes.
“Fine, but we have to be quick.” Narrowing your eyes at him, you give in, but with the most stern tone you can muster and it only makes Jake laugh.
“Ain’t nothing slow about me, sweetheart.” You can’t stop the snort that escapes you, or the playful roll of your eyes at his words, leaning up to kiss that stupid grin off of Jake’s face.
“Please, just– just shut up and fuck me already, Seresin.” you manage to get out through your giggles.
“With pleasure.” Jake’s lips claim yours in a hungry kiss and you feel one of his big hands venture underneath the skirt of your dress, traveling up your thigh and past the frilly fabric of your white garter in search of your core.
When his fingers brush against the damp lace of your panties, you choke out a gasp against his lips and Jake pulls back to take in your expression — your brows furrowed in pleasure and eyes heavily hooded with need. His kiss-swollen lips lift up into a smug smirk as he feels how wet you are for him.
Jake’s deft fingers press more firmly against that wet spot, rubbing along your seam through the damp fabric. You can’t hold back your whine, already writhing against him as his thumb finds your clit, expertly circling it through the lace.
“So wet and I’ve barely even touched you.” He breathes out a laugh and there’s a hint of smugness to his words — because of course there, it’s Jake — but you can also hear the awe present in his voice, see it in his emerald gaze that burns into you lovingly and it makes heat creep up your cheeks.
His hand dips beneath the waistband of your panties and you and Jake groan in unison as his fingers make a few quick circles around your wet, swollen clit.
Your head falls back against the wall behind you and Jake takes the opportunity to kiss at your neck again as his hand dips down further to collect more of your wetness.
“Already all ready for me, Sweets?” Jake’s words are whispered next to your ear as his fingers graze your entrance, your hips bucking toward them of their own volition.
“For you, ahh–” Your words are cut off by a shaky moan as Jake slides two long fingers inside of you, up to the knuckle in one swift motion. Your breath hitches and you’re practically melting against him, your voice already sounding wrecked as you whimper for him, “Always.”
Jake groans at how easily your slick walls envelop his fingers, gushing with new arousal as he fucks them in and out of your tight hole to get you ready for his cock -– not that you really need much prep with the way you’re already soaking his hand.
“Such a good girl for me.”
Your walls clench tight around his digits, from both the praise and the way he curls them inside of you, that coil in your belly quickly winding up.
“Fuck- Jake!” He can hear the desperation in your plea of his name, can feel it in the way your hips chase his fingers each time he pulls them almost all the way out. You’re already feeling so close, but you’re needy for more. Need to be full of him.
Your perfectly manicured nails dig into Jake’s bicep, the heel of your foot pressing into his backside in an attempt to pull him closer as you gaze up at him through your lashes. “Please, baby– need you.”
“I got you, honey.”
Your chin falls against your chest and you cry out as Jake scissors his fingers inside of you a few more times before they retreat completely, leaving you clenching around nothing and keening at the sudden feeling of emptiness.
The hand that was in your panties begins to trail slowly back down your thigh, and though you can’t see it through all the fabric of your skirt, you can feel the trail of slick it leaves along your skin in its wake.
As Jake clutches your thigh in his firm grasp to hold you more securely against the wall, his other hand moves to the tent in his tight trousers where his throbbing length has been neglected.
How he’s able to hold you up with one arm while the other hand unfastens his dress pants is beyond you, but it’s moments like this that you’re grateful to have a big, strong naval aviator for a husband-to-be.
Jake pushes his suit pants and underwear down just far enough to finally release his cock and you can’t help but moan at the sight of it. Long and looking almost painfully hard, the tip red and angry and weeping with precum.
Jake lets out a groan as he wraps a fist around his length, relishing in the friction as his hand moves along the shaft and works to spread the pearls of his arousal from his tip down to the base.
His hand then leaves his cock to push up the skirt of your dress as far as it can go.
Deft fingers pry the seat of your panties from where they stick to your slick-soaked core, and gingerly move the fabric to the side so he can access your dripping cunt before he grabs ahold of himself again.
Jake lines his tip up to your entrance and pushes in slowly, his lips claiming yours in a kiss that pushes the air out of your lungs, stealing your breath and leaving you dizzy with it as his tongue tangles with yours.
Your hands glide up the soft, expensive fabric on Jake’s arms, fingers digging into the meat of his shoulders as you gasp and writhe against him. Relishing in the feeling of him all over you.
His lips covering your own, short breaths mixing with yours as you both pant and moan into the frantic kiss. His strong body, solid as the wall behind you as his front presses taut against you to hold you up, his long cock pushing deep inside of you with every single thrust and leaving you feeling so unbelievably full of him.
Jake pulls back from the kiss and looks down to where the two of you are connected. His length glistening with your arousal as it moves in and out of your tight walls, your beautiful, intricate wedding gown all bunched around your hips as he fucks you, and he can’t help the chuckle that escapes him when he thinks about how crazy this is.
“Wha-what’s so funny?” You ask breathlessly through kiss-swollen lips, your eyes that had previously been shut tight in bliss now opening to search out his green ones.
“Just— this,” Jake’s gaze lifts to meet your eye as he continues to laugh, unsure if his brain is going fuzzy with pleasure, or if that’s just the intoxication of being with you.
“My beautiful, perfect bride,” his hips slow just a touch, pressing forward in a particularly hard thrust that has you gasping and clutching onto his shoulders tighter, you and Jake moaning in unison before he continues, panting through his words.
“All a mess for me — fuck– right before we’re supposed to say ‘I do’ in front of all our family and friends– and pretty much everyone we know.”
Your eyes widen, lips tugging up into a bashful smile and you can’t help but giggle along with him, burying your head in his shoulder and speaking into the soft fabric of his jacket as he continues to fuck you.
“Oh god… well, I’m sure there’ll be some time to steam the dress again before I have to walk down the aisle.”
You can feel Jake’s laughter reverberate against your cheek just before he cups your chin, lifting your face back up to be level with his and beaming at you with that megawatt smile. “There's my wife!”
You’re both still grinning when he pulls you in for another kiss. Teeth gnashing against one another’s, mingled laughter and moans coming out in breathy puffs against each other’s lips as his cock works inside of you, his hips still moving against yours at an even pace.
“This is crazy.” You can barely get the words out, still giggling between messy kisses.
“Yeah,” Jake punctuates with another press of his lips on yours, teeth nipping at your bottom lip and drawing out a quiet whimper as he pulls it back towards him and releases it before continuing.
“It is crazy,” – Another kiss – “You make crazy, Sweets.”
With one more firm peck to your lips, you feel both of Jake’s hands wrap tighter under your thighs, rough fingers squeezing your ass as he hikes you up a bit higher against the wall, pressing impossibly closer to keep you firmly in place.
The change of the angle combined with his thrusts accelerating in speed has you crying out loud as he ruts up into you, Jake’s lips moving to cover yours once again and muffle the sounds of your moans.
You shudder against him as his tip prods against that spongy spot inside you that makes stars appear behind your closed lids with each and every thrust, and you feel that coil beginning to tighten again, the familiar heat rapidly licking at the base of your spine.
Jake knows you’re close when your nails begin to dig into his shoulders through the jacket of his tux as you gasp for air, your lips parting from his with a string of saliva still connecting them for a moment that makes him growl as your head lulls back to lean against the wall. Eyes squeezed shut in pleasure as you quietly, breathlessly, cry out his name like a mantra.
Your body is sandwiched tightly between Jake’s and the wall as his length fills you, hips pinned to yours and barely able to pull out on each thrust for how tightly your walls are clamping around him, the coarse but neatly trimmed hairs at the base of his cock deliciously grazing your clit and setting your whole body alight.
He's the only thing keeping you upright when your orgasm hits you. His mouth swallows your cries as your whole body goes taut, holding Jake in a vice grip as you fall apart on his cock.
Jake can feel it as all of the tension leaves your body. He continues in slow, shallow thrusts, the quiet of the room only accentuating the salacious sounds of your release flooding around him as he works you through your high.
He pulls back from the kiss as your moans begin to subside to get a look at your fucked out, blissful expression.
Your eyes are still closed, lips parted and now devoid of any of the nude-pink lipstick shade you’d been wearing before, and your skin glistens with a thin sheen of sweat.
Your chest rapidly rises and falls beneath the fitted white bodice of your wedding gown, accentuating your cleavage with each little pant as you try to catch your breath.
“So fucking pretty, honey,” Jake begins a light trail of kisses from the corner of your mouth to your warm cheek, and up to your hairline where he whispers against the slightly damp skin. “My beautiful bride.”
Your hands scramble for purchase on his back, whimpering as you attempt to pull him in closer.
“Jake- '' Your legs tighten around his hips, heels pressing against his backside where they’re crossed at the ankles, your desperate mewl mixing with Jake’s deeper grunt as the movement pushes him even deeper inside of you.
“‘M so lucky to- to get to call you my husband,” Jake swears that his cocks swells just that little bit more at your loving words. “Cum for me. Wanna feel you.”
“Fuck.” The sweet praise whispered from your pretty lips sends him into a tailspin.
You’ve barely come down from your high when Jake’s hips quicken their pace as he begins to chase his own release, the beginnings of overstimulation making you cry out a string of broken moans, incoherent whimpers of curses and his name.
The fullness and the delightful drag of his cock through your tight walls making you clench around him harder, and the assault of his tip against your g-spot leaving you feeling boneless, your grip on his shoulders tightens like you’ll float away at any moment.
The way your velvety walls are squeezing him, your release soaking his length and the obscene sound it creates as he continues to fuck into you, have Jake right on the edge of his own high.
His head falls to your shoulder where he grunts deeply into the crook of your neck.
“So good, baby. So good for me.” He praises, peppering sweet kisses to your hot skin, a stark contrast to the harsh force of his hips pounding against yours as they begin to lose their rhythm.
After a few more sloppy thrusts, Jake finishes inside you with a strangled groan. The familiar sensation of his cum filling your still-spasming walls pulls a contented sigh from your lips.
Jake’s lips dot a trail of soft kisses along the heated skin of your shoulder and neck, then under your jaw before he lifts his face to be level with yours. Pressing his forehead against your own, the two of you stay there just breathing each other in as you catch your breath.
When the groomsmen realize just how much time has passed with still no sign of Jake, and with only minutes until the supposed start of the ceremony, Bradley is seeing red.
For a moment, jumping to the worst conclusion — that Jake may be standing his little sister up on her wedding day — and he’s just about ready to murder the groom.
It’s only when Natasha knocks on the door to the groomsmens’ suite, looking frazzled as she asks him and the other Daggers if any of them have seen the bride, letting them know that you’ve gone missing as well, that Bradley and his wife both quickly come to the realization that the two of you must be together.
So, Natasha and Bradley begin the hunt to find the soon-to-be newlyweds, the latter rolling his eyes before grumbling, “They’d better not be off somewhere fucking.”
Natasha only responds with a snicker because she knows that’s probably exactly what the two of you were doing. She offers her grumpy husband a sympathetic look and gives his shoulder a comforting squeeze before they split up to search through the maze that is the halls of your wedding venue.
In no rush to move just yet, you and Jake just rest for a moment, foreheads pressed together, your body still sandwiched between his broad frame and the wall. His softening cock still inside of you, puffs of air warming each other’s lips as shallow pants become more steady breaths.
You know that you and Jake’s little er —detour— has almost definitely put things behind schedule for your big day, but in this moment you honestly couldn’t care less.
When it’s just you and the love of your life, bodies intertwined and relishing in each other’s warmth, shared breaths becoming one, you can’t help but think that this day already couldn’t be more perfect.
You feel a flurry of excitement, your heart bursting at the thought that it’s always going to be like this. Solace in the fact that you’re Jake’s and he’s yours, that this is only the beginning of the rest of your lives together.
He seems to share in the sentiment, pulling back to admire you for a moment before you feel his smile against your skin when he lightly presses his lips to your forehead.
One of his hands reaches up to cradle your cheek, those green eyes are boring down into your own with that look of pure adoration once again as Jake moves to speak.
“God, I can’t wait to marry you,” His voice is breathy and full of awe–almost a laugh, eyes crinkling up at the corners in that way that you love as his smile begins to take up more of his face. “I’m so happy that you’re gonna be my wife.”
“Jake…” If you thought your heart was bursting before, you think it’s about ready to break free from your chest now, your eyes glistening with emotion as you lovingly look up at him through your lashes.
“You’re gonna make me cry and I don’t want to mess up my makeup any more than I probably already have,”
The two of you share a quiet laugh, smitten as ever as your hand makes its way up to cover his where it still rests on the side of your face. “But, to have you as my husband… I couldn’t be happier.”
Jake leans down to press a chaste kiss to your lips before whispering against them. “Love you, Sweets.”
It’s only after you return his kiss and those three little words that have become as easy to you as breathing, that Jake finally pulls out of you and the two of you let out a simultaneous sigh.
He reaches down to where the mix of his and your release begins to dribble out of your spent hole, a shattered moan falling from your parted lips as your head lulls back against the wall once more.
Your legs begin to shake from the overstimulation as two of Jake’s long fingers push his cum back into you, expertly thrusting them in and out a few times before pulling them out again, and you find yourself grateful for the sturdy wall behind you when he purposefully brushes them against your oversensitive clit, leaving you breathless as he shifts your panties back into place to keep his cum inside.
Your mind is cloudy of all things but Jake — his scent and his warmth and the feeling of his hands all over your skin, his pretty green eyes and his voice and his gorgeously cocky smirk — each one of your senses being invaded by him and you couldn’t be more content.
And, you love knowing that underneath all the layers of fancy lace and tulle, right before the biggest moments of your lives, that you have his cum inside you.
Just as you part from one another, a knock on the door causes you to jump.
You can hear Natasha out in the hall calling out your names and you and Jake share a look, wearing matching guilty smiles.
However, it’s not long before his smile shifts into a more of a smirk, and you have to bite back a giggle as he rolls his green eyes playfully before leaning in to peck your cheek, pulling back to mouth the words ‘you good?’.
With your grin and nod of confirmation, Jake leaves you with one more kiss, fastening the button on his pants and straightening out his dress shirt as he makes his way over to the door.
He pulls it open, still wearing that signature smirk on his face and Natasha glances up at him before she cautiously peeks her head in to see you too, hair smoothed out as much as you could manage on such short notice, the skirt of your wedding dress now back in place and hiding the fact that Jake’s cum is soaking through your underwear and beginning to drip down your thighs.
“Thank god you’re clothed. I wasn’t looking to get scarred for life today.” Natasha breathes a sigh of relief and steps fully into the room.
“You’re lucky you didn’t find us five minutes earlier.” Jake chuckles as you lightly smack his chest, that ever-cocky smile on his handsome face that you’ve come to love so very much over these last three years.
You can’t help but snicker along with him when you catch sight of Natasha’s nose wrinkling in disgust.
“Ok, ew… And you’re lucky I found you and not Bradley.” Natasha gives Jake a glare before clapping her hands in front of both of your faces. “Now come on, hurry the fuck up. The ceremony — your wedding ceremony — is about to start soon.”
You nod your head frantically, as if only just remembering where, and when, you are.
“Right, yeah! I just gotta go… clean up a bit.” you squeak out to your sister-in-law with a bashful grin before scurrying off the bathroom of the suite you’d snuck into.
Natasha just gives Jake a deadpan look that conveys her slight disgust before leaving the room, making her way out into the hall to call Bradley and let the him know that she’s located the happy couple.
After taking care of the mess between your legs and wiping off the smudged remnants of your lipstick in the bathroom mirror, you return to find Jake, who’s leaning up against the wall opposite the door, looking cool and calm and handsome as ever in his tux.
Making your way over to him, you wrap your arms around his broad shoulders, letting out a little snort as your hands reach up to delicately fix his hair where it sticks out in a few places—no doubt from your tugging on it during your recent activities.
Once Jake’s golden locks are back in a more presentable state, you smooth a hand down the nape of his neck, leaning up to attach your lips firmly to his.
Jake groans into it as his mouth moves against yours with just as much fervor, his hands reaching blindly for your waist to pull you in closer, and the two of you share one last passionate kiss that you hope conveys both your love for him and your excitement to be marrying him — though Jake already knows.
“Alright, Natasha’s going to kill me if I don’t get back in the next two minutes.” You pull away from his lush lips, reluctantly and breathlessly, wanting to live in this moment with him forever.
Your arms unwrap themselves from behind Jake’s neck, but you don’t get very far when he reaches out to take one of your hands in his own, and you can tell he’s just as reluctant to end the moment too when he brings it up to his lips to kiss a trail from your knuckles to the tips of your fingers.
“Yeah, I’m not really looking forward to dealing with your brother either.”
His words make you laugh in that sweet, boisterous way that he’s so ready to hear for the rest of his life and with that, Jake chuckles and lets you go, his hand still holding onto yours until you’re too far out of reach.
Jake calls out your name just as you reach the door and you stop short, turning around to face him just as you pull it open. You stand in the threshold, brows raised, and look at him expectantly.
“See ya out there, my beautiful bride.”
You’re surprised your cheeks don’t perpetually hurt from how much this man makes you smile.
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world, my dashing groom.” You leave him with a playful wink and that intoxicating smile, in a flash of flowing white fabric as you quickly retreat into the hallway.
Jake chuckles to himself, moving over to the mirror to make sure he looks presentable, smoothing a hand over his hair and giving himself one last once-over before he makes his way back to his groomsmen.
Trailing behind Natasha, you quickly make your way through the halls back to the bridal suite, giving her your most innocent smile when she peers back at you over her shoulder with a pointed look.
Your sister-in-law sends you a half-hearted scoff and a playful roll of her brown eyes, but you can see the smirk just beginning to grow at the corner of her lips before she turns and reaches out to open the door.
“Come on.” Natasha half laughs, half groans, ushering you into the room.
Before you know it, you’ve got a plethora of people surrounding you once again — one giving your dress a very last minute steam to get rid of any wrinkles your activities with Jake a few minutes earlier had caused, others rushing around to touch up your hair and makeup and to finally pin up your veil. Although, this time around, you find that you’re unbothered. Feeling a lot more at ease, and you’re back in tip-top shape in record time.
You’re practically vibrating in excitement and anticipation as Natasha and the rest of your bridal party shower you with hugs and their own squeals of excitement and encouragement before they make their way outside to the beautifully set up venue to get into their places for the ceremony.
You give yourself one final once-over in the mirror, unable to curb the smile that grows at how beautiful you feel.
It's only a few moments later when Bradley pokes his head in the door once more to ask if you’re ready. He takes in the giddy — and much more self-assured than earlier — smile on your face when you turn to him and nod your head excitedly.
“Ya know, you can still back out of this if you wanted.” Your brother jokes, his tone teasing as his mustached lips form into a sly grin.
With a punch to your older brother’s shoulder, you pin Bradley with a pointed look and a sarcastic ‘ha ha’.
“Come on, I’m sure the Bronco would make a great getaway car!” He chuckles as your eyes widen in surprise.
“Bradley!” You move to punch his arm again, but he quickly ducks out of the way this time, and though your eyes are now narrowed at him in a feigned scowl, Bradley can tell that you’re not really angry with him by the way your lips are fighting back pulling up into a smile.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to hold my peace when that part comes up.” He raises his hands up in surrender and you can’t help but laugh along with Bradley’s joke, though not without a playful shake of your head and roll of your eyes.
“You better!” Your big brother flinches as you lurch at him again, but this time, instead of hitting him, your fingers reach up to pinch his ear and it’s like the two of you are kids again; you giggling maniacally while Bradley — now a big, tough 6’1 fighter pilot — yelps in pain, arms flailing as he tries to get out of your grip.
He’d probably pull your hair like he did when you were kids too, if it wasn’t all styled to perfection with your beautiful sheer veil pinned to the crown of it, all ready for your big day.
“I will, I will!” Bradley hisses through his teeth, chuckling as you release your hold on him to grab your bouquet that’s a beautiful mix of both yours and Jake’s favorite flowers, and then move to link your arm with his to begin the path down the hall. The path to the rest of your life and you couldn’t be more excited.
As your brother guides you through the venue’s winding halls towards the doors to where the outdoor ceremony is being held, a gentle grin befalls your lips as you think about how you got here — and your big brother’s part in all of it.
“You know… I know you told all the guys at your wedding to steer clear of me.”
Bradley stops in his tracks at your divulgence, pulling you to a quick stop as well and nearly tripping you over your heels and the fabric of your long wedding gown.
“You wha- huh? You know?!”
Admittedly, Bradley thought he was taking that secret to his grave.
“Yeah, I know.” You can’t help but giggle at your brother’s flustered expression. “Jake told me, a few months after we started dating.”
You’ve known for almost three years and you never said anything. Huh.
Bradley stands there with his lips parted, but no words are coming out. He’s still in shock at the fact that you’re laughing about this.
“So… you’re not mad?” He asks the question apprehensively, a grimace on his face as he awaits your answer.
“No, I’m not mad.” You shake your head, still smiling as an airy laugh escapes you.
“Well, maybe I was for like a second back then. But, I appreciate how much you want to protect me, Bradley. Even if it does make you an idiot sometimes.”
You playfully roll your eyes and Bradley finally relaxes, shoulders dropping as he laughs along with you.
“For what it’s worth, you and Jake actually aren’t a half-bad couple.” You playfully smack his chest in response to the — albeit sweet — jest.
“Thank you.” You beam up at your brother, content knowing that that’s his way of letting you know he truly is happy for you and Jake.
Bradley links his arm with yours again and continues leading you towards the doors. “I wish Mom and Dad could see how beautiful you look today. They’d be so proud.”
“Oh, come on, Bradley! You’re gonna make me cry off my makeup!” You whisper-yell at him half jokingly as you finally reach the doors that will lead you out to the ceremony — to where you’ll very soon be married to the love of your life.
“Me too.” Giving Bradley’s arm a gentle squeeze, the two of you share a smile, knowing that your parents will be there in spirit. And grateful for the fact that your uncle Mav who’s always been like a third parent to you will be there too. “Now, come on. Let’s go get me married!”
The wedding ceremony goes off without a hitch — albeit a little bit later than planned.
When the music starts and Bradley walks you down the aisle, you’re surrounded by the smiling faces of friends and family.
Although, your eyes are only on Jake — looking so unbelievably handsome in his tux and his wide smile and you can’t believe just how lucky you got — and his mossy green eyes are focused on only you.
Both of your eyes shine with tears and it’s as if only the two of you exist in that moment when you meet him at the altar, the two of you happily joining hands with matching lovesick grins adorning your faces.
Though he’ll never admit it — and Natasha will never let him live it down — Bradley definitely shed a few tears himself as he listened to you and Jake exchange your vows.
It’s been a long day of running around getting ready for the ceremony — and sneaking off for a quickie, of course — before marrying your soulmate in front of practically everyone you know, then taking countless family photos and enjoying a cocktail hour with your friends and family showering you and Jake in congratulations and well wishes.
But, it’s all worth it because you’re finally able to call Jake your husband and you couldn’t be happier.
You’re both more than ready for the reception, ready to let loose and enjoy your time together as a newlyweded couple.
After a nice dinner comes the best man and maid of honor speeches from Javy and Natasha, and a speech from Uncle Mav that includes a few embarrassing anecdotes about your childhood that have you giggling as you hide your face in Jake’s shoulder.
Then it’s time for the newlyweds to make a toast before sharing your first dance to Fleetwood Mac’s Everywhere, the first song you and Jake danced to on the night when you met three years ago at your brother’s wedding.
The two of you hold each other close and sway along to the music without a care in the world, Jake dipping you towards the end of the song and claiming your lips in a long kiss that has the entire room cheering — although again, it’s as if you and Jake are the only two who exist in that moment.
When Jake pulls back from the kiss, one of his large palms is still cupping your cheek, fingers gently grazing your skin as his green eyes gaze down at you in adoration.
“I can’t believe you’re my wife.” He lightly shakes his head in disbelief. “I’m never gonna stop saying that — my wife.”
You’re smiling against one another’s lips as you pull Jake down for another kiss, giggling when you mouth parts from his.
“I love you so much, my husband.”
You can see that familiar look of both adoration and hunger beginning to overtake Jake’s features in response to your words as your first dance comes to an end.
After sharing what would traditionally be a father-daughter dance with Mav, he returns you into your husband’s loving arms as others begin to join in on the fun, the dance floor now filling up with your guests.
Jake sees his opportunity to whisk you away from the dancefloor, using the commotion to make a sneaky getaway — again.
You should be used to it by now — his large hand warmly encompassing yours and pulling you along with him — but you still can’t help the giggles that break free as you quicken your pace to match his as best as you can in your heels, sprinting until the two of you have disappeared from dancefloor, and soon from your wedding reception entirely.
Out of the ballroom doors and into the empty hallway, the loud music and sounds of your guests having fun now a muffled to barely-there background noise, you find yourself alone with Jake. Your husband.
You pull on Jake’s hand to bring him to a stop in front of you, turning him around and pulling him in closer to you as you lean your back against the closed door, gazing up at him with a lip-bitten smile.
“What are we doing?” You question through a breathless laugh, although you’re pretty sure you already know the answer.
Jake’s broad frame crowds you in closer to the door and you find your breaths coming in quicker as he presses the front of his body up against yours.
Your eyes flutter shut as he leans down even closer, his nose gently brushing yours, lips just shy of touching your own. His breath fans against them and it sends a shiver down your spine, a jolt going straight to your core when he speaks.
“Well, we’ve gotta consummate our marriage, Sweets.” Jake whispers against you, his mouth just barely grazing your own. “And I’d like to consummate it as soon as possible.”
The evident hunger in his voice has you frantically nodding against him, eyes still squeezed shut when you feel his front press impossibly closer to you — and the growing bulge there. “Yeah?”
“Yeah, honey. Gonna consummate the shit out of you.”
Jake’s whispered words, and their mirthy tone, have you bursting into a fit of giggles, your head falling back against the door behind you. His own laugh joins in with yours as you shake your head at his silliness. You love this man so much.
Your hands reach up to the sides of his neck to pull your husband down for a kiss, lips and teeth clashing as neither of you can break the smiles from your faces.
“You’re such a dork, Seresin.” You whisper sweetly against Jake’s lips.
“Yeah, but you love it… Mrs. Seresin.” His large hands squeeze your hips, both the heat you feel on your skin through the lacy fabric of your dress and the name making you giddy.
“Well… lead the way, Mr. Seresin!”
You’re unable to contain the massive smile that breaks out on your face as Jake presses one last kiss to your lips, before grabbing your hand and beginning to pull you along with him once more, and you don’t care where takes you as long as your hand gets to be intertwined with his for the rest of your lives.

Finally Your Husband
Coffee And Pancakes series P16
Synopsis: YN and Harry tie the knots together in an intimate and private ceremony in Italy and they get to hear an amazing news.
Series Master list | More of My Work
YN was nervous.
She was on brink of having a breakdown. Everything was turning out to be so perfect yet everyone was giving her a big hard time.
The way her grandma wasn't attending was a cherry on top for her but her parents were attending. The way it was the people who loved and respected her boundaries and parents giving her a hard time taunting her every little choice. A few of her cousins were attending too, and most of them YN hated. It was just amazing and hell on earth at the same time. They were Harry's Italian villa where he proposed to her.
One of her cousin got drunk and almost tore his scrotum while dancing during one of the pre-wedding ceremonies. Niall was a real helper driving him to the nearest hospital. And two of her other cousins threw a fit of fight when they found out they were wearing the same outfit.
The pre wedding ceremonies were lowkey too. It was a whole week long spiel and a half.
"I don't know why I am nervous!" She whined on the phone with her soon to be husband, her eye welled up with tears. She was all ready and they were just fifteen minutes away from being married.
There was going to be two ceremonies back to back and long night of partying.
"Baby." Harry cooed, "just fifteen minutes okay?"
While he tried his best to assure her everything is going to be fine, it wasn't putting her at ease. Her life was about to change for good.
Just a few years ago she wasn't even interested in seeing anyone (she in fact hated the idea) and now here she is about to marry the love of her life. Everything between fear and pure ecstasy was just running in rounds in her head.
Harry was just two stories down from where she was but she couldn't go see him. YN was having a breakdown. She was nervous thinking what possibly could go wrong as everything has been so smooth sailing.
On the other hand, Harry was nervous indeed but he could manage himself. He had just gotten into his suit as he was done with his hair.
He got a call from Brielle, stating he need to go see his wife (soon-to-be) now. She was having a breakdown. He had quickly put on his coat and headed to where his wife-to-be was.
"Oh my god!" He whispered to himself as he saw her sitting there on the edge of the bed all ready and dolled up, she took his breath away. Even though she was crying. "Angel, you look breath taking!"
She was wearing a white lehenga, and covered in gorgeous jwellery, a soft makeup look with a bold lip.
And that made her son too. "I broke this." She showed him the chain he got her for one of her birthdays and she wanted to wear it as it was so special. It wasn't going to be visible with all the jewelry she was wearing, but still she'd know she is wearing it.
"Hey, it's alright my love." He cooed as he sat next to her. "It's alright. We can get that fixed."
"I wanted to wear it." She managed to whisper between her sobs. "You gave it to me on my birthday."
"I know, but-" he was cut off when YN's brother's wife, Jasmine came in with a sewing box.
"I knew this was going to be handy- oh Harry?" She was quite surprised. "I am sorry, I should have knocked but she is crying."
"No, it's fine." Harry assured her.
"Look we are going to fix it okay for now?" She took YN's necklace. Soon after her mother walked in as well. She helped Jasmine fix the necklace. They just tied the broken ends with a piece of things thread. It wasn't a permanent solution but it was going to work for now. "Come here let me put this on." Jasmine even put it on for her and even attempted to fix her makeup too.
Harry watched the way her mum looked at her. They both looked exactly the same he figured. He just wished she would have spoken with her then, he could tell she wanted to. She had tears in her eyes seeing her daughter as a bride. It just broke his heart a little.
"I will come and get you in a while. And Harry you probably have to be there in a few minutes too." Jasmine informed both, soon her and YN's mum left.
"Hey, you good?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, I am sorry." She mumbled, "I think I'm about to get my period. I don't know why I am crying so much."
"Don't say that." He pulled her in for a hug, "you don't have to say that. It's a big day, and it's okay to feel this way."
"This is so overwhelming." She mumbled against his chest.
"I know, but it'll be alright. I'm right here with you, yeah?"
It had just been five minutes Harry had to go out as the ceremony would begin. First it was the traditional Indian way. And then it was Niall officiating their wedding. Everything went as smoothly as possible. Soon YN realised she was panicking for nothing everything was just perfect.
They both cried twice as she walked down the aisle twice.
"You may kiss your bride, Harold." Niall announced as he stepped away.
Harry was quick to pull his wife in as he picked her lips gently before he got her in a bear hug. YN wrapped her arms around him
Her husband has been by her side for the entire day. It was time for their first dance.
"I can't believe we are married now." She said they both swayed to the soft music playing.
Harry leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Mhmm. I am finally your husband."
"Yeah? I am your wife now." She couldn't help but smile sheepishly at him.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" He got flustered seeing her watch him with love heart eyes.
"Can you kiss me?" She asked.
"You know I will." With that he pressed his lips on hers, not shying away that her parents and brother are present there like they used to. She's his woman now and he is her man. "I love you so much!"
"I love you so much!" She reciprocated.
The rest of the night was flawless. Niall and Zayn got drunk off their arse as they danced to Gasolina for the fifth time. The food was amazing.
"You're not going to have anything to drink?" YN asked her husband.
"No, I am done. Had a glass of wine." He shared as he pulled her closer to his side as he watched his former band mates dance like idiots. "Want to stay present." He pressed a kiss on her head.
"Awh!" She cooed.
"Come on guys!" Gemma pulled them both to the dance floor, she was halfway hammered too there. They had a very fun night.
Harry was still on the dance floor as YN retrieved back feeling tired as her adrenaline started to wear off slowly but surely. Her husband wasn't drunk but he was having fun like his friends if not more.
Soon people started leaving to go back to their accommodations and it was just the close family left there to clean up a bit before everyone headed back. As it was Harry's (now theirs) villa all the bride and groom had to do was walking up the stairs to their bedroom.
It was all decorated with pretty candles and flowers. "Oh see the mood is already set for us." Harry announced as he hugged his wife from behind. "To be honest, this wasn't needed I had my eye on you since this morning." He had been worked up all night, actually all day. She looked absolutely dead drop gorgeous in that dress and she is wife now. That all together new feeling.
YN was quick to turn around in his arms. "Yeah?"
"Mhmm." He nodded and pecked her lips gently.
"This is going to be a big hassle to get out of." She reminded him that she is wearing a Lehenga with hundreds if not thousands of pins holding it together.
"Don't worry we have all the time in the world." He assured her as his hand went up her back behind her Chunni as he tugged onto the string of her blouse.
On a serious note, he did help her get out of the heavy outfit. They had a great laugh as it kept tugging on one thing or another. YN finally got out of the lehenga. He was also just in his trousers by now.
"You were wearing sweat pants underneath that the white day?" Harry giggled.
"Yes! And I was still cold." She pouted as she took off her bangles as she was sat on the bathroom counter.
"Awh, my baby!" He cooed, "let's hand this up, yeah?" He nicely hung up the fit on the designated hanger carefully and hung it over the bathroom door. "Now where were we." He went back to her, stepping between her legs.
"Where were we?" She placed the last of the bangles she took off in their designated box as she looked up at him.
"I'd rather show you." With his arms wrapped around her waist he picked her back and walked back to their bed. She laughed feeling his fingers dig into her side tickling her. He gently placed her on the bed as hovered over her pressing his mouth to hers. His hands wandered on her back to unhook her blouse she still had on. "This okay?"
"Yes." She nodded, her hands on his hips as he helped her out of the blouse that's when she noticed the bulge. She was quick to unbuckle his belt and get rid of his pants.
"No let me do the work now." He stopped her, reaching down to the waist band of her sweats and sliding them down with her panties. He got down on his knees as his lips left a trail of soft and eager kisses down her neck to her stomach to her inner thighs. YN let out a soft moan as she felt his mouth on her, his tongue teasing her bud.
Soon enough she was pulling him back to her, he was quick to press his mouth on hers. Her juices are still on his mouth as he pushes his tongue in her mouth, flawlessly dominating over their very heated moment.
"I want your cock in me now." She demanded, propping herself up on her elbows.
He chuckled softly as he undid his trousers and took off his boxers. "Very demanding, aren't we?" He was back on top of her. He lines his tip against her weeping hole as he pushes inside her with ease. "Can never get over the feeling of your pussy on my cock, baby!" He groans softly with his forehead on hers.
YN just let out a soft moan holding onto his shoulders. "Want it to be soft this time." She whispered.
"Mhmmm." He agrees moaning as he could feel her walls pulsing around him.
"Fuck! Right there!" She gasped feeling his cock plunging in her softly yet firmly.
"Yeah, you like it baby?" He looked at her before pecking her lips, earning a nod of satisfaction from her. "That's it baby, lay back and relax. Gonna take care of my wife!"
YN laid back on bed. Harry was quick enough to grab the pillow for her before she rested her head back, not forgetting to keep on with his slow and firm thrusts. Dipping his head down he latched his mouth on her hardened nipple, whilst his hand was busy kneading the other making her back arch.
"Oh yes!" She moaned softly again, gasping for air as she floated away in pleasure.
"Oh yes baby, you gonna cum?" He looked at her again.
"Yeah. I want you to cum in me." She requested. This isn't the first time.
"Yeah? You want me to cum in you baby?" He said getting his hand down to rub her clit making her jolt in surprise.
"Yes please!" She sighed.
"Yeah, almost there baby, urgh!" He thrusts were getting harder and harder as he couldn't hold it back, feeling her pulsing harder around him. Soon he was releasing his load in her pussy with the last few thrusts. "Fuck that was amazing!" He chuckled, still inside her.
"Yeah." She pulled him down for a kiss. "I love you so much Harry!"
"I love you so much!" He kissed again. Rolling over he pulled her in closer. "We are finally married."
"Mhmm." She nodded, looking at him with tired yet love-heart eyes. "We're married now, I can't wait to grow old with you!"
"Yeah? I promise I will love you even after we're seventy." He mumbled softly against her forehead before pressing another kiss on her skin. It was a joke as they danced to Thinking Out Loud by Ed, making her giggling.
"Oh you better!" She warned him.
"You know I will, baby!" He pushes back to look at her, "do you want to get cleaned up and go to sleep?"
"Mhmm." She nodded.
Harry was quick enough to help her get cleaned and helped her get into one of his t-shirts before they were off to bed.
.......................................................................
Harry woke up feeling super hot for some reason, he back was all sweaty as YN slept closer to him, her face buried in his back.
"Baby?" Harry carefully turned around and moved closer to her wife who was still asleep but shivering and burning up. That was enough to get him out of sleep in an instance. "Baby, you alright?"
"Hmmm?" She sounded.
"You're burning up my love." He whispered.
"Yeah I am cold. I just want to sleep." She mumbled. The worst thing about her was how she managed to sleep through fever.
"Let's go see a doctor first, yeah?" He suggested, "you can sleep when we get back."
"Can we go later?" She mumbled again, pulling the blanket over her mouth and curling up even more.
"Babe, come on now. You're burning up." He insisted, "I promise we'll make it as quick as possible, yeah?"
"I- fine we'll-." She ran off to the toilet and started throwing up.
"Oh no." Harry mumbled as he rushed to her and held her hair back and rubbed her back. "It's alright sweetheart. We'll go see a doctor."
Harry was quick to drive her to the nearest hospital, they were asked to wait luckily there was no rush there and they got in without an appointment. The doctor did a basic physical exam.
"Have you eaten anything recently which might upset your stomach?" The doctor asked as he documented in his computer.
"No, I have been eating healthy for our wedding." YN explained.
"Oh congratulations!" The doctor smiled, "don't worry we'll look into it. Have you tried taking a pregnancy test?"
"Not recently." YN shrugged, suddenly feeling anxious as she looked at her husband. "But I'd be open to one if we can do it here."
"Sure." The doctor nodded. "We'll also get the blood work done if necessary too."
"Yeah. Thank you." YN nodded.
Soon enough a nurse guided the couple to a room where YN can take the pregnancy test in privacy. She was nervous and she was already crying.
"It's okay baby." Harry tried his best to calm her down as they waited for the longest five minutes. "What does it say?"
"It's positive." She started sobbing.
"Oh my god!" He was quick to pull her in the tightest hug ever.
"We're going to be Mummy and Papa!" She mumbled as she sobbed.
"Yeah!" Harry rocked her side to side in excitement.
That was the happiest moment of YN's life there but she was still burning up with fever. Doctor gave her some mild medicines to take and advised her to rest as much as she can.
That's exactly what Harry made her do. He drove her back home to their Villa. Made her feel all comfy as he fixed her a quick meal.
They postponed their honeymoon until YN feels better and is fit to travel and spend their time in and resting and taking in the news.

Entry 10: The One About the Audibly Loud Lukola FanFic
I’ll address the elephant in the room. And, no, I’m not talking about Jake Dunn’s brown suit! Or, that he’s posing with a man. Or, that Tyler commented “Bellissimo!!!!” on Jake's post.
I don’t think a lot of people understood the connection I was making this morning about “Mis-Directed,” Gwilym Lee, and Jake. So, now I feel the need to explain because I don’t want people running with a narrative that goes in the opposite direction of where I was taking it.
Sorry, JVN, you’re getting pushed to the side again. I promise, I’ll get to you one day.
Let’s go back two months…
On September 25, Nicola posted to her Instagram stories a link to Alex Babsky’s post, which was a picture of Nicola. She had her hair and make-up done but she was wearing one of her own dresses (the black dress she wore in Australia and Brazil). Babsky captioned his post “[pink bow] @nicolacoughlan in London today for…well, never mind what for actually [laughing emoji with hand over mouth] [winking emoji] [shushing emoji].” Nicola responded, “You’re amazing it was so gorgeous to see you xxx.”
Babksy’s caption sent the fandom into hysteria wondering what the hell Nicola was up to. It didn’t help that this was the same day Luke updated his Instagram bio and used “Xx” and it didn’t help that Nicola was wearing the black dress she allegedly wore on her beach walk in Brazil with Luke.
Do you want to know what I thought the photo of Nicola was from? I’m not going to lie – I thought it was pre-wedding makeup. Seriously, not kidding. It reminded me of my own wedding day. Formal hair and makeup and my own dress that was easy to take off without messing up the hair and makeup. I never said I wasn’t a little bit delulu.
On November 5, an author named Lucy Parker announced on her Instagram feed that she had a new Audible book called “Mis-Directed” being released in February 2025. The post came with pictures of Nicola wearing the black dress and the same hair and makeup as the September 25 post. Nicola (presumably) is reading the part of Hattie Murton, and Gwilym Lee (presumably) is reading the part of Anthony Rafe.
Oh, okay.
Turns out, I was wrong.
So, Nicola and Luke didn’t get married.
Fine.
I have always liked crows.
But, wait a minute – what the fuck is this Audible book about? A woman who stars in a romantic drama called “Leicester Square” (what the fuck?) which was adapted from a best-selling romance novel (what the fuck??). Then, in comes our antagonist, Anthony Rafe, who plays opposite of Hattie and, let me quote here, “But when very real chemistry sparks during their scripted love scenes, Hattie begins to think the industry’s legendarily heartless Bad Guy [Anthony] might just a have a pulse after all. And Anthony, for his part, is caught off-guard by the way his heart races when he’s around his aggravating onscreen lover. As reality starts to imitate art a little too close for comfort, the world’s most unlikely couple might just have more in common than they thought…” (what the fuck???).
Let’s start with Leicester Square. What the hell is Leicester Square? Oh, the name of the fake television show on which Hattie and Anthony star. Sure, Jan. Is it odd to anyone else that Leicester Square is the name of the location of where the London premiere of Bridgerton Season 3 took place? You know, the event that happened hours before Papsmear.
Then we have the make-believe show being adapted from a best-selling romance novel. Mmm hmm.
Let’s try and not make the connection between Luke and Anthony. Mmm hmm.
And, let’s add fuel to the fire and have two co-stars falling in love with each other.
Yeah, we get it. It’s a Lukola FanFic being read by none other than Nicola. I mean, the only way it could be any better is if Luke was reading the part of Anthony Rafe! But, no, that part is being read by Gwilym Lee (who is fantastic in everything he does, by the way).
Who is Gwilym Lee? Well, he’s an actor (my father calls him “Midsomer”). Ask Mr. Google about him. But, if you check out his Instagram feed, you will find that he knows Jake and has since, at least, 2022. Is it possible that Nicola met Gwilym through Jake? Yeah, it is.
Now, why do I find this situation intriguing? Specifically, why did I find the post from Jake this morning posing with Gwilym interesting (and a bit shady)? Let me explain.
The Jakholes took the “Mis-Directed” FanFic as shade towards the Lukolas. Yes, they went there because that FanFic does not (in the least) fit nicely into their Jakola narrative. I mean, if it wasn’t shade to the Lukolas, how weird the storyline must have been for Jake! The writing was audibly on the wall, in big red letters, but the Jakholes chose to spin it into something messier than my hair in the morning after sleeping on it wet.
What exactly is this theory? Well, per the Jakholes, Nicola hates the Lukola fandom so much that she sat and read (likely, for hours) this Lukola-coded FanFic just to spite us! I mean, Anthony is a bad boy in this story and “everyone loves to hate” him (don’t forget, Luke became the devil incarnate after Papsmear). And, Hattie is tired of the “brutal press, overly invested fans, and a cutthroat industry…[that] would give even Pollyanna an edge of cynicism.” The Jakholes believe this means Nicola is saying she’s really in love with Jake and she wants us all to know that by reading a Harlequin-style romance about a woman who falls in love with her costar! Oh, my God!! How could she?!
What in the actual fuck are the Jakholes drinking with this bullshit? I know, I know. I shouldn’t expect anything better from people who ship Jake with Nicola. In fact, if I was a Jakhole, I might buy into this conspiracy theory. But, I’m not a fucking Jakhole. And, guess what Jakholes? I don’t mind breaking the hearts of Lukolas by saying we’re probably never going to see sexy-hot Brazil pictures of Luke and Nicola, so I don’t mind telling Jakholes to put this theory back into Davy Jones’ locker and feed it to that bitch Kraken.
Let’s talk a bit further about the absurdity of this “Nicola is shading Lukola” subplot from Hell.
We will pretend Nicola hates Luke. She hates Lukola. She baits the Lukola fandom for shits and giggles.
What would this make Nicola?
It would make her a villain, for starters (and “villain” is me being extremely nice).
More importantly, it would make Nicola a PR nightmare.
Even if Nicola and Luke despised each other, do you believe Netflix, Bridgerton, and Shonda Land would allow Nicola to play games with the Lukola fandom? Talk about playing with fire!
The reality is the lines between Polin and Lukola are heavily blurred at this point. I hate to say it – and maybe a lot of you will view me as a complete asshole after I say this – but, if I learned Nicola was shading the Lukolas (therefore, in my opinion, trolling Luke), I would not be interested in Bridgerton Season 4. Or, Season 5. Or, any season after that. Or, in Nicola, for that matter. You’re welcome to have your own opinion about this but I would feel incredibly betrayed, and not just by Nicola. On top of that, for me, Polin has become Lukola. They’re so blurred, they don’t even resemble a line anymore. Maybe that’s a bad position to be in, but that’s where I’m at. Sorry, not sorry.
I’m not going to rehash the breadcrumbs left by Nicola that support Lukola – if you know, you know (or you can catch up by spending an afternoon on Tumblr). Even Luke, in his own way, leaves Lukola-coded crumbs. We also have damn convincing evidence that Netflix, Bridgerton, and Shonda Land support Lukola. I mean, even they’re blurring the lines with “Nicola and Luke’s Cutest Moments” and interestingly timed images of Polin. So, do you think they’re going to let Nicola fuck with that on a public forum?
That would be a cold, hard NO.
But, this Audible book – “Mis-Directed” – is loud and made louder because Nicola is reading it.
So, what is this Audible book? Shade? Or, Nicola being cutesy? I’m going to place my bets on the latter solely because, like I said, the Corporate Office is not going to let Nicola shade Lukola because it has a direct effect on Polin.
That’s not to say that the excitement of this Lukola-coded “Mis-Directed” FanFic wasn’t attacked by the Jakholes from all sides, and the wind – for the moment – was kicked out of it. That’s a different story for a different day.
But, what I found so intriguing about Jake’s post today is that, of all the people he could have included in his photo (because there’s obviously lots of people at this event), he chose Gwilym. And, this means people will look into Gwilym. People will realize that Gwilym is the other side of “Mis-Directed.” People will realize Jake and Gwilym are friends. People will realize that Jake’s friend is reading a Lukola-themed romance novel with Nicola.
And, if we agree that the book is not shade towards the Lukolas and we agree that Jakola is not real, what is the significance of the connection between Jake and Gwilym? Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe I’m overthinking it. But, the connection – at least in my mind (and it’s been there since November 5) – is that Jake supports “Mis-Directed” because he supports Lukola and he has always been there, helping Nicola lay the breadcrumbs. He wanted people to look into Gwilym and make the connection. Jake could very well be the one who suggested Gwilym read the part of Anthony. Jake is the degree of separation.
I want to close this out by noting that Jake also liked the post Nicola has pinned on her Instagram grid – the black and white one about her Time 100 article. You know, the one where Nicola says, “A lot of people really want me to marry Luke.” Follow the links and it will take you to this article. That’s an interestingly placed like by Jake, in my opinion – as is his photo op with Gwilym.

Azriel x Reader
Synopsis: The morning of your wedding your fears are enforced by an old way of thought, sending you running and Azriel to cope with the aftermath but will a reunion set you both back on the path you should both be living?
Warnings: Angsty
A/N: Right, you may find yourself hating Reader for a bit but I tried my best convey the panic and pressure.
-------------------------------------------------------
“I can't do this I can't do this I can't do this”
“Shh YNN you'll be fine! This is what you want!” Mor caught you in her arms, your train half tangling your feet. You cried into her chest, not caring if your make-up was streaming down your face, your sister and maid of honour rocking you gently.
“YN, come on sweetie, it's just pre-wedding jitters, happens to most, Azriel will be waiting to see his beautiful bride!”
“Mor it's too soon! I was going to be a writer! Go off and live on the continent, I have never even been! There's still so much I want to go and do!”
“And you will! You will YN! You and Az will do that together and more! Marriage isn't going to change that!”
“You're right, you're right” You pulled from her, rubbed under your eyes and sat back down at the vanity. You looked into the mirror at the person you hardly recognised and silently went about reapplying your makeup.
“You look beautiful YN” You could only nod at her, afraid if you opened your mouth again it would set off a series of unfortunate events.
“I’m going to go check on Azriel” She gave you a smile before ducking out of the pastel room, leaving you alone. You steadied your breathing, batting your tears away with your lashes before they could fall further. You loved Azriel, he was your life force, saved you from yourself and you returned the same to him. He was your everything. These thoughts brought ease to you. You ran a soft hairbrush through your flowing locks, a smile beginning to reappear on your face.
“Oh you look lovely my child” The sound of a weathered female's voice came up behind you, causing you to jump slightly. She was of pure Illyrian blood, a representative of a dying way of thought, a relic in her own right, Azriels only remaining relative he was in contact with.
“Thank you, Elena” You found your head bowing slightly to her, unsure of why, you out-ranked her and yet you felt the pressure of the millennia of the institution she represented weigh on you.
“You're going to make a wonderful wife YN” She almost snaked up behind you as quietly as she entered the room as you watched her in the reflection. You tried not to stare at the clipped tattered wings that hung from the female, she tucked them in as if noticing your glance.
“I just know you'll keep him a nice life”
“What do you mean?” You turned to face the skeletal woman, her bone-chilling words wrapping around your lungs.
“Well, I mean being the wife of a powerful Illyrian of course! And just think YN when the children come along you'll be so busy raising the next generation of warriors! Not much time for other things but what could be more important than the bloodline? Azriel is a hard worker, I know he'll provide in tenfolds” She smiled as if she wasn't throwing a live grenade, it began to smoke as the pin was pulled from it inside your head. You could feel your chest compressing further with the strangling tradition.
“Well, Az and I will be both working and you know we won't be having offspring until after we travel and even then we'll both be looking after them” You tried to calm yourself down but her shrill laughter put a quick stop to relief you had from your own words.
“Oh, my child don't we all think that! You're marrying an Illyrian, bastard born or not-” the words cut you, anger replacing anxiety for a moment until she continued “-He can’t suppress the urges of his blood. His life partner will be malleable, mute and well-behaved, does what is expected of her. Azriel has other things to be doing for his Court than raising children, female work”
“I-” You couldn’t find the words through the magma-thick matter-of-fact speech she choked you with.
“-Well, I must go make myself useful elsewhere child” Her crochet-hook-like fingers dug into your shoulders with a squeeze before she turned and left you in the solitude of your room once more.
You could feel the air rush from your lungs as you fought to stop the oxygen from evaporating from your blood. You stood, pacing, blood rushing to your face as you stumbled on the train of your dress, hitting the carpet with unforgiving force. You lay for a moment on the carpet, hands splayed out in front of you, your engagement catching the light like you loved. It suddenly feeling much too tight.
“Gods! Fuck! I can’t do this!” You stood on rattling knees, grabbing things frantically from the dresser before you could fully become cognisant of the actions.
You moved quickly and carefully through the door and into the empty hallway, avoiding the directions where laughs leaked out, them falling like battle cries in your ears.
You reached the stone steps of the venue with quiet desperation, your adrenaline and anxiety now fully controlling your body as you bolted down the path, half stumbling. You whipped around to look back up to the hill where the hall of your friends and family waited for the blushing bride, tears claiming your face as their own as you dashed into the streets of Velaris before anyone inside became the wiser.
—----------
Funerals are a strange thing. They do strange things to people. You thought this as you stood at the back of a hall you had not been inside in almost 70 years, thought about how the female they were saying goodbye to today shook your entire life up like it was nothing. You looked around and imagined it the week after you left, the day you left, the hour after you left. You thought of the moments you missed with your chosen family since you fled the Night Court and all its wonderful attributes, you pushed the guilt you had been fighting ever since then back down
From the back row, your eyes landed on the backs of the three Archeron sisters, their stories meeting you on your travels around the globe. You smothered the smile that toyed at your mouth, the thoughts of your friends happy and in love warming you. Your gaze landed on the the back of Azriels head as it hung in respect. Too much, this was too much, you couldn’t deal with him seeing you. As you had 70 years previously, you slipped from the hall without anyone noticing.
You were met with the warm Spring sun, a beautiful day in Velaris, as they all were. You wandered down the unforgiving steps, your name from a familiar voice stopping you.
“Yn?”
“Mor!”
“Yn!” She ran down the steps, taking you in her arms, the feeling of home rushing to you. You were so happy to hold your sister having worked through the issues that arose from your wedding day. At first, she rightfully iced you entirely but after two decades of silence, she reached out, asking to reconnect, missing her sister in the fray and yet you always found an excuse to not come home.
“Yn I'm so happy you're back! You came back for the funeral?”
“Yeah I did, felt I needed to”
“Yeah I mean I suppose they were almost your family too” she smiled before realising her words and apologising, a weak smile grew on your face in acceptance of the throwaway comment. The two of you continued down a winding road away from the groups leaking out of the hall.
“So how long are you here?”
“Just the weekend, I have meetings on Monday, I’m staying at our old apartment, remember?”
“Oh yes! Just a flying visit so, the busy life of a successful big-time author I suppose”
“Oh yeah, I'm plagued with the title” you laughed, finally meeting the Sidra as it coursed, its glimmering water making you smile.
“Yeah, your success really boomed after leaving here” She almost sounded sad before beaming at you again and catching your hands in hers.
“I guess, I missed you though, I missed the Night Court”
“And Azriel?” The name struck pure pain into your heart, as if seeing the back of his head in the hall wasn't bad enough, hearing his name was almost catastrophic, you only nodded.
“Well, he misses you too YN” She squeezed your hands.
“He doesn't, he couldn't, not after what I did to him Mor” She looked at you with sympathy, looking back up the street you just walked down.
“I have to get back, they’ll be looking for me” You gave her an understanding smile
“Meet me for a drink later in Rita’s, we have so much to catch up on” as she kissed your cheek goodbye with her words before returning back up the street to the hall again.
You looked out over the Sidra, an empty plot of land ripping through your heart. It was there where you and Azriel were going to build, it still stayed empty. A mausoleum to your relationship. You peeled your eyes from it, looking elsewhere around the city you adored, deciding to spend the remainder of your evening re-acquainting yourself with it.
-
Night fell in the city of stars as you found your way towards the Town House by muscle memory alone. You felt so alive being back, more alive than any amount of travel or success ever brought you. You leaned against the fence, waiting happily for your sister.
“Y-Yn?” his face dropped, his voice alone causing you to bite the inside of your mouth to almost bleed. The red flush from your walking was gone from your face growing pale at the sight of him standing on the other side of the street. He crossed slowly as if any sudden movement would send you running.
“H-Hi Az-Azriel, you look - you look well”
“Thank- what are you doing here YN?” tones of confused sadness left Azriel, the anger towards you he felt so many years ago unable to be conjured back at will. He thought about this moment so often and yet, he couldn’t think of a single thing he’d said in those imaginary encounters.
“I-I’m meeting Mor, I-”
“Azriel, hey there you are!” The small beaming brunette Fae seemingly came from nowhere to his side, her hand tucking into his so effortlessly. You pushed every yearning thought from your head and plastered a smile onto your face that didn’t fully meet your eyes.
“Maya, go tell Mor her sister is here, I’ll meet you inside” She raked her eyes up your and down your full body with such subtle brutality before kissing Azriel’s cheek goodbye, sauntering up the path to the house.
“She seems nic-”
“She is” He almost bit, his eyes felt like daggers on your skin.
“I-”
“-What are you doing here YN?” his tone matched his eyes.
“I just came for the funeral”
“And now what?”
“I’m meeting Mor and then heading to our old place to stay” “And then?” “Then, I’m heading back to the continent” You weren't sure why you were answering, you suppose you owed him that much, the heat of his eyes making you feel vulnerable.
“I heard your writing is doing pretty well there, pretty well everywhere”
“Yeah”
“Hope it was worth it YN” Words like fire burning you all over, and yet you felt you deserved worse. He sighed when you didn't respond before pushing past you, following the path Maya had just trotted up.
“It wasn't," you said the words before you knew what you were saying, back towards him before looking over your shoulder, now fully meeting his eyes. He looked as though he was going to say something but Mor came flying out her front door.
“Sorry I'm late YN I was- oh, sorry am I interrupting something?”
“No Mor, I was just leaving” and then he did. Gone again.
“How did that go?” Mor looped her arm through yours, prying you from leaning on the wall to head down the street again.
“Fine” you tried a smile and failed.
“You met Maya”
“Always one for sensitivity Mor” You smiled at your sister and she was instant apologies.
“I’m sorry, I forgot they were coming over tonight… Maya isn't anything like you if that helps. He went a bit off the walls when you left. Cassian thinks he's going to propose to that tonight, hope he's all wrong. He's totally settling especially since Rhys and Cass have their mates now. She's nothing like you and I think he knows that, just ignoring it. It's kinda sad and- oh hey YN I didn't mean to make you cry” she said the words like throwaway gossip, forgetting her audience only to have your rising tears land her back to earth.
“No no it's okay Mor, I'm just going to go home”
“Aw come on, I'm sorry!” you stopped on the path, her soft eyes giving you no comfort.
“Not as sorry as I am Mor” You took off then, in the direction of your old shared house.
-
You lay in your bed, rain threatening to come through the slate roof. Tossing and turning you finally decided to get up and wander your old house you had with Mor before meeting Azriel. Looking in drawers filled with old pictures, ones of you when you were a kid, playing with the Mor. More recent ones of you with Rhys, Cassian and Azriel, Azriels arm draped around you. You ran your fingers over the tarnished picture, a tear dripping onto the film before you tucked it back into the worn drawer.
You meandered through the living room, stopping at the old mahogany press. You knew what was in there and you didn't want to see it. Looking at that engagement ring again would be the end of you.
A loud banging came drumming against the door causing you to jump from the crushing thought. You wrapped the dressing gown tighter around yourself before opening the door to see the tormented, rain-soaked Illyrian before you. He waited for no invitation before blowing in past you, the cold leaking from him.
“I COULDN'T DO IT!”
“Do what Azriel?! What's wrong?!”
“I couldn't ask Maya to marry me! There's fucking caution tape around my heart because of you! I would have been fine if you had just left me alone to wallow in anger all those years ago I would have been fine! But No! I just had to fuck around and get attached to you!” He threw his arms in the air, words hot with anger.
“You're blaming me for loving you?!” You found his words caused you your own irritation.
“Yeah! Yeah I am! You just had to pay attention to me! You just had to care about me! You just had to-”
“Had to what?! Had to love you!” you couldn’t believe you snapped out the words as they floated to his ears.
“YEAH! AND YOU JUST HAD TO LEAVE ME!” Knives to your mind would have been less painful, he almost rattled in anger, a mere metre away from you, his shadows vibrating at his feet in anger.
“I had to leave Azriel I wasn't ready!”
“YOU COULDN'T HAVE SAID THAT TO MY FACE!? BECAUSE YOU COULD HAVE! ANYTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN STANDING UP ON THAT FUCKING ALTER WAITING FOR YOU!” his arms raised in the air with his words, causing you to flinch slightly.
“Azriel-”
“When we were together what was the thing you always said to me?! It was that you wouldn't leave me, that you wouldn't abandon me like everyone else. YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T AND YOU FUCKING DID!”
“I know Az I know” you were crying now, throwing yourself back on the couch, floods of memories of those very conversations threatening to drown you.
“You know?! Then why did you do it! The truth!”
“Elena came to me before the wedding and said all this stuff about what a wife should do and be and how I wasn't going to have time to write anymore and all the kids would be left to me and I wasn't ready! I WASN'T READY FOR THAT KIND OF PRESSURE THE ILLYRIANS WERE PUSHING ON ME!”
“YEAH! THE ILLYRIANS NOT ME! I NEVER EVER SAID ANYTHING LIKE THAT! NEVER EVEN THOUGHT IT!” you buried your head in your hands at his shouting, the action sending a ping of regret through Azriel but the repressed rage he felt towards you had to get out.
“You hurt me YN YLN. The wedding bells were just alarms to you”
“I don't know what to say but I want you to know that I understand that you hate me, I'll leave tomorrow, Ill go!” you swept the tears from your face, feeling you didn’t deserve to have them, the maker behind this mess.
“I missed you” his words completely caught you off guard as you brought yourself to look at him once again, his wild wrathful eyes replaced by utterly heartbroken ones.
“I miss you and I shouldn't. I can't move on from you! I haven't slept properly since you left! Every damn night it's a new nightmare and then I wake up and you're not there like you used to be and it's a different kind of nightmare! I miss you being there next to me at the dinner table, at Rita’s, at stupid fucking court functions, just doing absolutely fuck all with you! The number of times I thought about contacting you, visiting you, the amount of letters I wrote and never sent-” It was the first time he hadn't had a raised voice since he came into the house but being faced with the fallout of your actions in his ice tone made you miss the screaming to some degree.
“I'M SORRY! I AM WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY!” you found yourself shouting back, anything to deafen your inner voice.
“Do you miss me?” his icy tone melted slightly at your unfamiliar raised voice.
“Yes” you stood again from the sofa.
“I'm with Maya”
“I know”
“But she's not you”
“No”
“I hate you YN" The words hurt every inch of your body, every cell felt searing unwavering pain, the sentence you never thought you’d hear him say. The familiar feeling of your lungs being strangled beat in your chest, unable to recover from the mortal wound. You did what you did best and ran, out the door and into the rain-soaked Velarian streets.
“YN stop!” he followed you quickly as you made it halfway down the street, he would not have you slip from him again.
“No! I hurt you! I broke you and myself in the process all for selfish reasons and I still love you Azriel!” you went to run again but his firm hand on your forearm stopped you, spinning you to face him as his wild face dripped in rain.
“I hate that I love you YN”
“What?” you said softly over the thundering rain. Azriel looked from your face to over your shoulder. You turned to follow his eyes down the street, the plot of land haunting the other side of the Sidra.
“You ever wonder what we could have been? We were supposed to live there after we got married, we'd probably have kids and all now” his tone had softened at the sight of the overgrown plot.
“Yeah, we probably would” You stood next to him looking at the patch of home, you gave a weak smile.
“But you might not have your successful career”
“I'd have you, that would be worth more”
“You don't mean that YN”
“I do” he turned to completely face you then.
“Never thought I'd hear you say those words” You bit your lip and you could have sworn Azriel fought a slight smile at your discomfort.
“You should go propose to Maya -” Your mouth was betraying your heart “- And I should leave and live the life I chose because I can't be around the life I should be living”
“Do you think you'd want to live it if I gave you the choice now?” his eyes searched yours, fully softening for the first time since he landed on the doorstep.
“I do”
“Yn I hate you and I love you but mostly I just hate that I love you” He felt no longer in control of his urges, leaning into you as he took hold of your soaked hips and leaned down to kiss swirls of what should have been and what could have taking you both over.
15 years later.
You lay down in the sun of the wildflower garden, your eyes took rest in the warm glow of the sun, taking a moment of rest after months of traveling with your new novel.
“ARGH!” You shrieked at the rush of cold water soaking you down to your skin.
“Azriel!” you bolted from where you lay, chasing your husband who clutched the hose down the length of the garden, only to be stopped dead by his sudden decrease in velocity.
“Big mistake YNN” You looked at him puzzled only to hear the roaring laughter of your two children launch out of the hedges and armed with water balloons that they doused you with, gaining more screams of pure unadulterated joy. You collapsed to the grass as they overwhelmed you with their hysterics, climbing all over you, Azriel watching on so lovingly, so whole.

I promise the next fic will be more silly goofy! Let me know what you think!

Ruby is such an icon‼️
could you do something where her pre-k does a daddy and daughter dance and Charles takes her shopping for a new dress and ruby helps charles get all ready (like the princess he is)😭😭?
beauty and the beast | charles leclerc
When Y/n got an e-mail from Ruby’s school saying that they were going to have a father daughter dance, the first thing she did was make sure Charles was free of anything F1 related. She then texted Charles a screenshot of the e-mail. Charles was far too excited when he got the message. He started to book nail appointments and asked around with his friends who had kids on which shop had the best dresses for little kids. He truly wanted everything to be perfect. He had even asked Pascale if she could do Ruby’s hair for the dance, which she happily accepted.
“Okay, let’s go Ruby Jules, we only have a week until the dance and we still have to get your dress!” Charles called out from the bottom of the stairs.
“I’m a pretty princess! I’m a pretty princess! I’m a pretty princess!” Ruby sang as she walked down the stairs with her little purse that Charles bought for her.
The father daughter duo went to multiple shops in Monte Carlo and by 2 PM, Ruby had finally found the perfect dress. Before they could continue with finding her shoes, they decided to eat so Charles drove to their favorite restaurant.
“There’s this girl in my class and she says her maman is putting makeup on her for the dance.” Ruby told Charles as they ate their lunch.
“If this is your way of asking if you can put makeup on, the answer is no.” Charles replied.
“But it’s glittery! Maman has pretty lipgloss.”
“You can put a little and that’s it.”
Ruby groaned. “When can I put the rest on?”
“When you’re older.” Charles replied.
“Old like you?” Ruby asked honestly.
“Just eat your food.”
The day before the dance came and Ruby was watching the dancing scene from ‘Beauty and The Beast’. She watched Belle’s movements and copied them exactly. She even wore her favorite pink tutu so she could feel like a princess. She wanted to be like Belle so she searched for a pair of her maman’s heels and put the on her tiny feet.
“See? You have to do it like the Beast! You’re noticing right.” Ruby explained to her papa.
“You’re a better dancer than me, Mon amour. I don’t know how to dance.” Charles admitted.
“Grab my hand and I’ll show you.” Ruby reached out to him.
“If I fall, I’m taking you down with me.”
When Y/n got home from grocery shopping, she found Ruby and Charles on the floor giggling. She found it cute until she saw her heels she wore at her wedding on the floor.
“You look so beautiful, Ruby! Let me take a picture so I can send it to your uncles and aunts. Oh, my sweet girl.” Pascale placed a kiss on the girl’s cheek. She had just finished doing Ruby’s hair.
Ruby smiled at Paascale camera and even did a pose. Pascale then called for Charles, who was just done with his tie, to take a picture with his daughter. The father and daughter smiled as Pascale took multiple pictures.
“Papa, can you stand right there?” Ruby pointed to the spot next to Pascale. “Wait, come here, your hair isn’t pretty enough! It has to be likes this!” She ‘fixed’ his hair like she saw her grand-mère do to him thousands of times before.
“Mon amour, it’s fine. Where do you want me to stand?” Ruby pointed again to where she wanted him.
Charles was confused, but he did was he was told. “Grand-mère, take a picture of me like this please!” Ruby then did a couple poses of her own with her tongue sticking out and holding up a peace sign.
“You sneaky girl.”
“You two look so adorable.” Y/n awed at her family. “Hopefully Mathéo has a mother son dance. Is that a thing? It better be.”
“If not, we can always make one right here,” Charles placed a kiss on Y/n’s lips. “We have to go, don’t wait up, this princess and I are going to party all night.”
In reality, by 9:30 PM, they were both knocked out on the sofa since all the dancing and eating many slices of cake tired them out.

Impossible love pt2
Pairing: Ruben Dias x Reader
Plot: you love him, but he has to marry someone else
Author's note: English is not my firts language, the ending isn't the best though
y/n is you
It had been about six months since you left Manchester and you hadn't seen Rubén. You had heard that he got married but you didn't want to know anything about it because at least then you wouldn't break your heart even more.
After leaving you took the first plane and flew to Iceland, it was definitely not on the other side of the world but at least you were away from him and everything that reminded you of him.
Due giorni fa hai ricevuto una telefonata da Hanna che ti diceva che si sposava e ti invitava al matrimonio, la cosa che non sapevi era con chi si sposava, eri felice per lei perché se lo meritava moltissimo. Quindi eccoti qui all'aeroporto, aspettando che Hanna ti venisse a prendere.
“Y/N how long!!” you would have recognized that voice anywhere, so you turned around and she was there “Hanna you are glowing”“i’m so happy you’re here” he said putting his hands on your shoulders "I would never have missed your wedding" "come on, you'll come to my house then this evening there will be the pre-wedding dinner"
she said starting to walk towards the exit.
The ride home was silent, Hanna was driving and you looked out the window remembering all the times you walked, about 15 minutes later Hanna stopped in front of a huge building. "do you live here?" you asked him as you opened the door to leave, "yeah, on the fourth floor" he told you as he took your suitcase down.
"honey, we're home" Hanna shouted as I entered her house, "oh finally" you knew that voice because it was the same voice that said good morning to you in the morning, at that point you turned with wide eyes towards hanna and said "are you with Haaland? OH MY GOD IT'S NOT POSSIBLE", she then smiled at you and went into the living room. You never expected her to get engaged to Erling.
“how was the trip, y/n?” "Fine thanks" "I'm glad to hear it"
It was around 7pm and people were arriving at Hanna and Haaland's house, while you were finishing putting on your makeup you realized that he would be there, that his wife would be there, you should have run away, you could have told Hanna that you had to go back to Iceland. If you had run away you would have been a coward, not that disappearing into thin air six months ago wasn't worth it. You had just come out of your room that Hanna had given you, when she asked you if you could go and open the door, so, after crossing the corridor you arrived in front of the door. When you opened the door you didn't expect that right in front of you he would be there. You hoped the floor would open and you would fall in.You didn't know what to say, you were just staring at him. There was something different about him, maybe it was his beard or his hair, the only thing you heard in your ears was the sound of your heart beating too fast, you didn't even realize that Halland had appeared next to you .
It wasn't until he put his hand on your back and said hello to Ruben that you realised. "Hey hello Ruben come in" "thanks friend". his damn voice, that voice you missed.
Around 8.30pm everyone had already arrived and you were seated at the table, ironically Ruben was sitting in front of you, you tried in every possible and imaginable way to avoid his eyes. “y/n, honey, do you want something to drink?” "yes thank you. a coke with" “ice but without lemon” and it was after that sentence that you looked at him for the first time since you were sitting eye to eye. Hanna smiled at you at that point and went to get you that coke.
You got up and walked towards the bathroom, avoiding Ruben's gaze. When you entered the bathroom you breathed a sigh of relief. Two seconds later you heard someone knock on the door, so you opened it and on the other side there was him, looking at you with those eyes, those damn eyes. "What are you doing here Ruben? You should be over there" "this is where I wanted to be" "you never thought it would be like this" "that you and I would stop talking and you would disappear into thin air?" "yeah, where didn't your wife come with you?" "no, we broke up about a month after the wedding" "oh I'm sorry" no you didn't like it, in fact you were happy about it “yeah… I missed you y/n.” "you too Rub" fuck, it came out so natural that you didn't realize it until it came out of your mouth.
"Where have you been these past 6 months?" "Iceland, I was a physiotherapist for a hospital" "I thought you were in Spain, you always said you wanted to go and live there" "well it would have been obvious if I had gone there, no" "y/n I lied to you, I never loved her, I always loved you from the first moment you arrived at City" "Why didn't you tell me? Why did you look me in the eyes that evening and tell me you loved her? My heart broke into a thousand pieces"
"she was pregnant or so I thought, but after a while I discovered she wasn't and so we broke up" "I am sorry" "y/n, I want to start again, I want to be able to wake up next to you in the morning, I want you to steal all my sweatshirts" "I already told you Ruben I didn't steal your sweatshirt" “who cares about that sweatshirt y/n, I love you” "reuben" "you do you love me?" "I have always loved you there has never been a time when I haven't" and it was at that moment that ruben approached you and kissed you, it was one of those romantic kisses but also full of passion.
5 months later
“y/n y/l/n do you want to marry ruben dias here?” "I want it" "ruben dias do you want to marry y/n y/l/n here?" "I want it" "I pronounce you husband and wife, you can kiss the bride" you were so damn happy right now, that as soon as you broke away from the kiss you looked at ruben and said in his ear "you're about to become a father" he pulled away from your embrace and smiled at you with that smile you hoped your baby would have.

Word count: 2K
The sunlight danced through the windows, painting the room in soft hues of morning. You sat in front of the vanity, nerves and excitement bubbling within you like an orchestra tuning up for a grand performance. Your hands trembled slightly as you carefully applied the finishing touches to your makeup, stealing glances at the intricate lace of your wedding gown hanging nearby.
Lusher, your best friend and confidante, bustled around the room, fussing over the tiniest details. "You look absolutely breathtaking," she gushed, adjusting a stray strand of your hair. "Bada won't know what hit her when she sees you."
A playful smile tugged at your lips as you tried to steady your racing heart. "I hope I won't trip walking down the aisle."
Tatter, another close friend, chuckled, fixing the final details on your gown. "Trust me, you'll glide down that aisle like a queen. You've got this!"
Meanwhile, in another room, Bada sat, surrounded by her own group of friends—Kyma, Minah, CheChe, and Sowoen. They fluttered around her, teasingly reassuring her and fawning over her beauty.
"You're going to knock Y/N off her feet," Kyma grinned, adjusting Bada's outfit.
Minah nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, you look like the coolest bride ever!"
Bada's usually stoic facade cracked, a faint blush dusting her cheeks. "Stop it, guys. You're making me more nervous."
Back in your room, Lusher handed you a beautifully wrapped package. "A little something to calm your nerves." Inside was a small, handwritten note from Bada—a heartfelt message that instantly brought tears to your eyes. It was a reminder of the love that bound you together, a source of strength on this momentous day.
"You two are just the sweetest," you sniffled, wiping away a stray tear.
Tatter grinned mischievously. "Save the tears for when you say your vows. We don't want to ruin that flawless makeup."
Laughter filled the room, easing the tension that had been building up inside you. As the minutes ticked by, the anticipation grew, mingled with a mix of jittery excitement and heartfelt emotions.
In the adjoining room, Bada opened a similar package from you—a token of your love and a reminder that this day marked the beginning of a new chapter in your lives together. She read your heartfelt words, feeling a surge of warmth and determination. Her friends exchanged knowing smiles, understanding the depth of her emotions even without words.
As the moment drew closer, you stole a glance at yourself in the mirror, taking in every detail—the way your gown cascaded around you, the way your heart raced with a blend of nerves and happiness. You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath, trying to calm the butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
In her room, Bada stood before the mirror, straightening her tie with steady hands. Her heart raced with a mixture of anticipation and love. The image reflected in the mirror wasn't just her in a suit; it was the embodiment of a promise—a promise to love and cherish you for eternity.
Amidst the flurry of emotions, your friends gathered around you, offering words of encouragement, sharing stories, and reminding you of the incredible journey that led to this moment.
"You two were made for each other," Lusher said, her eyes sparkling with emotion.
Tatter nodded in agreement. "You've weathered storms together. Today is the start of a beautiful calm."
Across the hall, Bada's friends echoed similar sentiments, assuring her that this day was meant to be a celebration of love, of the unbreakable bond between you and her.
"You're not alone in this, Bada," Kyma said softly. "We're all here for you, just as Y/N is."
Minutes later, the doors of the church creaked open, signaling the beginning of a momentous journey. With hearts full of love and a future brimming with promise, you and Bada stepped forward, ready to exchange vows that would bind your souls together in a sacred union.
As the music swelled and you took those final steps toward the altar, all nerves dissipated, replaced by an overwhelming sense of peace. You locked eyes with Bada, and in that shared gaze, you found reassurance, love, and the unwavering certainty that this moment was meant to be—a moment destined to etch itself into the tapestry of your lives, forever cherished and remembered.
Bada, your beloved, stood opposite you, radiant in her wedding attire. Her eyes shimmered with joy and love, a reflection of the unspoken promises between you. Her smile, the one that always melted your worries away, was now a beacon of hope, promising a future of shared happiness.
As the ceremony progressed, your eyes remained locked with Bada's, each moment etching itself into your memory. The exchange of vows felt like an intimate confession of love and devotion, and the anticipation of the impending kiss filled the air with a mix of nerves and exhilaration.
"I now pronounce you partners for life. You may kiss the bride," the officiant announced with a smile, their voice resonating through the church.
You leaned in, ready to seal the vows with a tender kiss. The world around you seemed to fade away, leaving only you and Bada in this sacred moment.
Just as your lips were about to meet, a jolt ripped through your consciousness. The warmth of the church dissolved, and you were jolted awake, tears streaming down your face, your heart wrenching with a deep ache.
You sat up in bed, gasping for breath, staring at the empty space beside you. Reality crashed back with cruel force, shattering the fleeting dream that had felt so achingly real.
Bada had been your everything—your confidante, your love, your partner in every sense. But she had passed away years ago, leaving a chasm in your soul that time had failed to heal.
The dream had brought back a flood of memories—the laughter, the shared dreams, the countless moments of comfort in each other's embrace. But with that came the piercing reminder that she was gone, a reality that never seemed to dull no matter how much time had passed.
You reached for the pendant on your bedside table, a delicate silver chain that held a small, engraved heart—Bada's last gift to you before she left. Clutching it to your chest, you felt the weight of your grief press down on you, the pain as fresh as it had been the day she departed.
You met Bada years ago in the vibrant chaos of the city. Both of you were artists, drawn together by a shared passion for expressing the unspoken through your respective mediums.
Your love story unfolded like a masterpiece, filled with shared dreams, laughter, and the quiet comfort of companionship.
Bada's art was a reflection of her soul—powerful, raw, and evocative. She poured her emotions into her creations, each piece a testament to the depth of her experiences. You admired her strength, her ability to convey vulnerability through her work.
Your own art was more subtle, capturing the delicate nuances of life. In Bada's presence, your creativity flourished, intertwining with hers to create a symphony of expression that resonated beyond the canvas.
The two of you navigated the challenges of life as a united force, weathering storms together and reveling in the sunshine. When you faced the world hand in hand, everything seemed possible.
However, fate had other plans. Bada fell ill unexpectedly, a battle against an invisible enemy that neither of you saw coming. The once vibrant and strong woman now fought for each breath, her essence slipping away with every passing day.
— — — — — — —
Bada's illness was a sudden and unexpected intruder into the vibrant tapestry of her life. It began with subtle signs—fatigue that lingered longer than usual, a persistent cough that refused to fade, and an inexplicable loss of appetite. At first, both of you brushed it off as minor ailments, attributing them to stress or seasonal changes.
But as weeks passed, those seemingly harmless symptoms evolved into something far more ominous. Bada's energy waned, her once-lively spirit dimming like a flickering flame struggling against a relentless wind. A trip to the doctor uncovered a devastating truth—a rare and aggressive disease had taken root within her, stealthily weaving its web of destruction.
The diagnosis cast a shadow over your lives, shattering the illusion of invincibility that both of you had once held. Bada's illness progressed rapidly, defying treatment and leaving doctors grasping for solutions that seemed to slip through their fingers.
The vibrant hues of her artwork dulled, reflecting the toll the illness took on her spirit. Days blurred together, marked by hospital visits, treatments that brought temporary relief but never lasting reprieve, and the looming specter of an uncertain future.
For Bada, the hardest part wasn't just the physical toll but the emotional strain—the frustration of being unable to create, the fear of losing the essence of who she was, and the heart-wrenching realization that she might not see the dreams you both had woven together come to fruition.
As her condition deteriorated, the once-bustling home transformed into a silent sanctuary where hope warred with despair. You became her constant companion, holding her hand through sleepless nights and soothing her with whispered assurances that love would conquer all.
Yet, despite the unwavering love and support, the illness persisted, chipping away at the foundation of your shared existence. The treatments grew more desperate, the hospital stays longer, and the glimmers of hope grew fainter.
Then came that fateful winter night when the silent battle reached its devastating conclusion. Bada slipped away, leaving behind a void that could never be filled—a void that echoed with the unspoken dreams, unfinished artwork, and the love that refused to fade.
The illness that stole her away was not just a physical ailment; it was a relentless force that shattered lives, leaving behind shattered dreams and a profound sense of loss that lingered long after her physical presence had vanished. It was a reminder of life's fragility, a cruel reminder that sometimes, even the strongest love cannot withstand the ruthless grip of fate.
Bada had been the light that guided you through life's storms. Her laughter echoed in your memories, and the love you shared had been the anchor that kept you grounded. But fate had cruelly snatched her away, leaving you adrift in a world that felt empty without her.
Days melted into nights, yet the ache in your heart remained unyielding. Each morning felt like a battle, grappling with the painful reality of waking up alone. The world moved on, but for you, time had frozen in that moment of loss.
You sought solace in the memories, in the dreams where Bada felt so close, so vividly alive. In those fleeting moments, she was there, smiling and vibrant, just as she had been in life. But with every awakening, the truth crashed down anew, tearing open wounds that refused to heal.
Friends and family offered their support, trying to ease your pain, but their well-intentioned gestures only served as painful reminders of what you had lost. They couldn't fill the void left by Bada's absence.
In the depths of your despair, you found yourself seeking refuge in places that held memories of your time together. The park where you shared laughter, the cafe where you had your first date—their echoes were bittersweet, a testament to the love that had once filled your days.
Yet, despite the overwhelming grief, a part of you clung to the dream—the dream of that wedding day, the promise of a lifetime with Bada. It was a cruel trick of the mind, offering a glimpse of happiness before snatching it away, leaving you shattered each time.
As the days turned into months and the months into years, you carried the weight of your loss like an invisible burden. Life continued around you, but you felt trapped in a world that no longer held the same allure without Bada by your side.
But amid the anguish and the longing, a tiny spark of hope flickered within—a hope that one day, in some unknown realm or in the recesses of your dreams, you would find solace, find peace, and find Bada waiting for you, smiling that radiant smile that had once been your everything. Until then, you held onto the fragments of memories, treasuring every moment spent in the warmth of her love.

Pre-Murder Drones Fanfic - Self Doubts - a James x Louisa Story
TW// Self worth issues, self doubt, body image issues, depression, death implications.
A month away from the wedding, and Louisa was nervous and excited, and despite her Mother's urging, Louisa was doing the trial two weeks living with James, as it was an Elliott family custom to be sure they could handle married life.
Miss L.M. Walker walked through the west wing hallway of the Elliott Manor, the part of the manor usually for guests to stay in, but it was being used as a trial home for James and her. She made her way to the room designated specifically for her, still floored by all the lovely pre-wedding gifts she had received like fancy jewelry, expensive cosmetics, bath bombs with rose petals in the centre, luxurious lotions, monogrammed makeup brushes with her soon-to-be married name on them, and other self care items.
While the gifts were wonderful, it made Louisa doubt herself. "Do I really deserve all this? I'm... nothing special... I'm just a failure..." her self doubts spoke through the narrow framed woman. Louisa sat down on the side of her bed, and fell backwards onto it, crossing her arms over her chest pretending to be dead like she used to do as a kid. This was a game Louisa came up with to pass the time since she didn't have many toys or friends. She'd just pretend she passed away and that she was laying for viewing in a casket, doing her best not to move because it would scare the imaginary guests at her wake service.
She heard footsteps coming down the hall and sat upright quickly as to not be caught doing her morbid little game, especially if it was James Elliott Senior or Thera Elliott.
There was a cheerful knocking at the doorway, which helped Louisa realize who it was. She flopped down again so her back was on the bed, smiling happily to her fiancé. "Hello James!" she greeted happily, looking at him upside-down.
"Trying to stimulate your follicles again, or do you just like being upside down?" James teased as he tilted his head to the side as he looked at Louisa.
Louisa being upside-down, caused the bodkin holding her hair in a bun to drop to the floor and made the style unraveled. Her long golden hair now draped over her shoulders prettily. "Well that clumsiness worked to your advantage."
The future Elliott family patriarch flopped on the bed on his side so he was facing Louisa. "Hi" he said in a cheerful way, grinning like a dork.
"Stahhhhp" she giggled as she playfully fluttered her left hand at him and looked away, "You're going to make me laugh."
Respecting his beloved's wishes, he gently took a hold of her left hand and kissed it gently. "As you wish, luv."
Louisa squealed slightly in excitement and looked away. "Why are you so bloody precious? What did I do to deserve you?" She froze, realizing some self-loathing had slipped out, hoping James wouldn't say anything or notice.
James, however, did notice, the twenty year old fellow held Louisa's hand still and soothed lovingly, "Who told you that you don't deserve me, luv?" "Who hurt my beautiful swan?" James' voice was worried and gentle, he sat upright, still on the bed and he gently pulled Louisa close so her head rested on his chest.
Louisa could hear James' heartbeat, snuggling up to him so she could hear it better. "N-no one... I am just scared that I'm not enough for you, that I'm not good enough for you," she insisted sadly, trying not to cry, "I mean, look at you, James... you're a handsome son of a CFO of JC Jensen, you have it ALL... hell, you even are a skilled polo player and a horse maven who can quell even the most aggressive bucking bronco...."
"And?" the fellow with the cool-toned jet black hair remarked lovingly, "What of you, my dearest?"
"I'm... I'm a failed ballerina.. I'm an unwanted daughter of my step mother... My father only kept me as a trophy child from a divorce. I'm not even a natural blonde! And I'm only good at baking sweets that I'm not EVEN ALLOWED TO EAT because I'd turn into a hippo!"
The kind-hearted fellow ran his fingers through his girlfriend's hair soothingly, his grey eyes studying her. "First of all, you're not a failure... ballet wasn't your ideal dance type. You're thriving at our waltz and tango classes we're taking in the evenings." his voice though baritone was gentle and caring, "And second, luv, even if your parents don't care, they don't really matter because if they can't see your worth that's their problem."
Louisa wiped her tears a little, still listening to James' loving words.
"I wouldn't care if your natural hair colour was emerald green," the words causing the woman to giggle a little before he continued to talk, "Louisa, you're still the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes upon, while also being personality-wise ever so perfect."
"James, dear, I"
James stopped Louisa's words by kissing the top of her head before he soothed, "And even if we had no drones, I know how to cook some, and you know how to bake sweets and make other sweet things. We know enough between the two of us." He placed his hands on Louisa's hips and responded, "And even if you do gain weight, just know it won't change how beautiful you are, EVER. It's just a number on a scale for the volume you inhabit, it's not a number dictating how beautiful or lovable you are."
He soothed lovingly, holding her hands now, "You're in good hands, and if you start getting anxious or insecure, I want you to come find me, day or night." James Edward Elliott rested his chin on his girlfriend's soft golden hair as he lovingly reminded, "I'll gladly make the time and take the time to dispel your self doubts."
Louisa started crying.
"No, no, luv, it's alright, please don't be sad."
Cuddling up as close as she could to James, Louisa asked through the tears, "D-do you love me that much?"
James wrapped his arms around Louisa. "I love you so much more than you could ever imagine, dear," he trilled lovingly. He silently held Louisa close for a while, letting her feel her emotions, but keeping her warm so she knew she was safe. "I still cannot believe how many presents your family has given me... people I've only met a couple times... and they care enough to get me nice things," Louisa admitted sheepishly, "I'll never understand why but, I do appreciate it." "You know, there is ONE more pre-wedding present for you," James responded, "And it's from someone you do know." "Am I okay to let go of you for a little bit? Or do you want me to stay?"
Louisa asked pleadingly, "Will you be back shortly?"
"I will, I promise."
She nodded quietly and got up so James had the ability to go get whatever it was. Louisa smiled as she saw her boyfriend hop up off the bed and run in his sock feet out of the room. "That's not how a gentleman runs!" she teased.
"He does if it's important enough" he joked back as he ran off down the hall, hurrying back only a minute later. James ran into the room with a round box with a beautiful silver bow on-top. "Remember when my parents brought us with them to Paris a couple months ago and we were at that store that you liked the stuff at?"
"James, dear, there were so many stores we went to."
The fellow in the all-blue attire, from his blue argyle socks and navy blue jeans all the way to his royal blue sweater vest and pale blue dress shirt, held out the box for Louisa to open. "I think you'll love it!"
The curious aquamarine eyes of the young woman sparkled as she opened the box, the happy tears returning the moment she saw what it was.
"It's that velvet sunhat you liked, I even had them adorn it with silk ribbons and flower pins and-" James spoke before he was interrupted by his soon-to-be-wife's voice
"Swan feathers," She couldn't contain herself as she took the greyish mauve hat out of the box, "Oh, it's beautiful, James, I love it!"
"I've ordered more, so this won't be your only one, just the downside is, they won't be ready before the wedding, but I needed to give you this before then, I couldn't wait."
Louisa put the hat on and looked over to the full body mirror to the left of the bed. "There we are, it looks so elegant on you."
Louisa lightly nudged James in the gut with her elbow. "Dear, you forget I'm not going to wear my hair down like this when I do wear this hat."
James sighed before he admitted with a laugh, "It was worth a shot."
"Okay, maybe a COUPLE times," the woman admitted as she reached up and gently touched one of the lower long swan feathers, feeling its soft plumes, "You like when I look more soft but less fancy and put together."
"You're always fancy and put together, even if it doesn't fit the descriptors of what you've been taught," the grey-eyed fellow reassured, "would you like to come with me to pick strawberries in the garden? And try out your new hat?"
Louisa wiped the few tears still remaining in her eyes before she got up off the bed. "How could I turn down spending time with you?"
James and Louisa walked together, holding hands as they went to the manor's garden together, helping put any negative worries or feelings Louisa had on the backburner so she could live in the moment and feel happy and safe and loved.

Our slight redesign of Wade his design is pretty consistent in the comics so we didn't have to change much
Again we aren't the best artist but we found drawing Wade fun so we gave it our best shot we know our handwriting isn't the best so here it is clearer
Marks
Wade is covered head to toe in cysts and his skin also has a crater like texture he doesn't have any scars as we like the idea of him being the opposite to are Logan design
Eyes
His eyes are Hazel however they are jaundiced so the whites of them are yellow however we like the idea of his mutation causing the jaundice in his eyes to spread and cover his pupils and iris
Hair
Wade doesn't have any hair at all though he does have eyelashes cause he likes to wear makeup for fun
Other
Wade both let's his kids paint his nails or will paint them himself he is not consistent to any pattern and will just pick whatever colour he feels like which is the opposite to Logan who only has black nailpolish
Jewelry
Wade can't wear any jewelry due to it irritating his skin so instead he will wear a chain with his wedding band on it but sometimes forgets to put it on due to his ADHD affecting his object permanence so Logan just reminds him though eventually all though it's really painful he gets a little heart tattooed on his ring finger so even if he forgets the ring he still remembers that he is loved
Misc
Wade has gained a lot of confidence since being with Logan and is less shy to dress however he wants to like he used to pre mutation. He loves the colour pink and hello kitty and can often be found humming chapel roan songs

Feysand Week: Day 1 - Night Triumphant and the Stars Eternal
It's the long-awaited day of Feyre and Rhysand's wedding. Despite pretending otherwise, Feyre can't help her pre-wedding jitters.
Rated G, 1.6k words
Feyre nervously paced the floor, trying to calm her rattled nerves. If Nesta was here, she would have scolded Feyre for wrinkling for dress with her movements or something silly, but it was Feyre’s wedding day. She could do whatever she wanted.
What she wanted, of course, was to marry Rhys in half an hour. She shouldn’t have been nervous. She had no reason to doubt him – he was wonderful, and the day he had proposed had been one of the happiest of her life. He meant the world to her and showered her with more love than she had known to do with. She did her best to do the same in return.
However, despite her best efforts, she couldn’t help but recall how things had gone on her last wedding day. The circumstances had been entirely different – she had been doubting her relationship with Tamlin, the engagement had been far too rushed, and she had almost no say in the planning. All she had felt in the hours leading up her procession down the aisle was uncontrollable, oily dread. She had prayed for a way out, even as she tried to convince herself this was what she wanted.
This wedding was nothing like that day. Her and Rhys had planned every detail together – with plenty of help from Mor, of course, but the final decisions had been made by them. And yet – she couldn’t stop the nerves from creeping in.
What if Rhys felt like he was making a mistake? She couldn’t live with letting him down, once the grandeur and shiny newness had faded from their marriage.
She couldn’t help but wish Rhys were here so they could talk things out. She would get to see him soon, and every day for the rest of their lives, but she hadn’t seen him since the night before. Mor insisted it would “preserve the magic of when he saw her walking down the aisle,” and it had seemed like a fun idea when the agreed on in two months ago.
Now, after not talking to her husband-to-be for almost a day, she was starting to change her tune. There was nothing to do but wait – her hair and makeup were done, her dress was on. After many hugs and a lengthy, tears pep talk, Mor – her maid of honor - had finally left her for a few minutes of silence before the ceremony.
Mor had carefully laid out Feyre’s train before leaving, even though Feyre knew she would get it into a wrinkled mess anyway. It had proven useless, just as she thought – the fabric was a twisted mess.
She surveyed her reflection in the mirror. Her dress was the palest blue, it almost appeared white in certain lightings. The low-cut bodice hugged her curves, flaring out to an A-line skirt with a high slit that would be easy for dancing, and billowing, gauvy sleeves flared out and then tightened at her wrists. Delicate beading across the dress made parts of it look star-covered. Tiny braids had been woven in her hair, adorned with little jewels, but the rest of it hung loose, curling down her back.
She had to admit, she looked good. She was sure Rhys would love the dress – almost as much as he would love taking it off of her.
Suddenly, a soft-quick knock sounded at the door.
It was too early for someone to tell her to go line up, but maybe Mor or one of her sisters had to come check in anyway. It was for the best – this time to clear her head wasn’t doing much for her nerves.
She strode over to the door and cracked it open – only to be greeted by familiar violet eyes and a roguish smile.
“Rhys?” she said, startled, even as her eyes travelled down his figure, taking him in. He cut a handsome figure in his all-black suit, accented with diamond cuff links and a diamond earring. The edges of his chest tattoos just barely peeked out over his shirt collar.
She realized that while she had been taking him in, he had been doing the same to her – standing a bit slack-jawed as she let the door swing open wider.
“You’re radiant, darling,” Rhys said, wonder in his voice as he took her hand.
“So are you,” she replied, then came to her senses. “But what are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be having alone time, or whatever Mor is calling it?”
He held a finger up to his lips as he gently took her wrist and guided her back through the door.
“Mor might kill me if she finds out I broke the rules, but it’s not her wedding,” Rhys said with a grin. “How are you feeling, darling? Ready to get married?”
“I’ve been a little nervous, but I’m glad you’re here. You calm my nerves.”
Rhys frowned a bit, squeezing her hand. “Is everything alright?”
“Yes! Of course. I’m just a little…worried.”
“About what? Say the word, and tell me how I can help,” Rhys responded earnestly.
“It’s nothing big, it’s just…this is nothing like my last wedding day, and I hate that it’s even something I still think about. But…I do.”
“Are you afraid Tamlin is going to show back up?” he asked carefully.
“No, it’s not even that. It’s just…I make you happy, right? You are absolutely sure you want to get married?”
“I’ve never been more sure of anything, Feyre. I’m all in if you are. I have no regrets with you.”
She let out a deep breath, feeling the tension leave her shoulders. “I don’t have any regrets with you, either, Rhys. I never want any.”
He studied her face for a second, and she wasn’t sure what he saw, but he took her hand again. “Come on – I want to show you something.”
“What? The wedding starts in –“ she glanced at the clock on the wall – “ten minutes!” They had timed it precisely to take place at dusk.
“So what? It’s not like they’re going to start without us! We’ve got this place rented out until tomorrow morning.”
“And if Mor sees us?”
“What’s she going to do? Cancel the wedding?”
“I was thinking more along the lines of yelling at us,” Feyre pointed out, but Rhys was already tugging her along.
They had rented a historic maze of a mansion that looked out onto the mountains for their wedding. They went down one hallway, then another. Up a flight of stairs, and they were clearly in the part of the old mansion that wasn’t meant to be seen by guests. Rhys led her down another hallway, up a few more stairs, and carefully opened the door before them with an obnoxious creakkkkkkk.
They were standing on a balcony that Feyre hadn’t even realized existed. She thought she had seen every inch of this place during their tour – but this view was unmatched.
“It’s breathtaking,” Feyre said softly, surveying the gorgeous view of the mountains, a glorious sunset of red and gold behind them. In just a few minutes, the stars would start to become visible. That was when they had planned for the wedding to take place.
“I thought this would be a good place to breathe – just us.”
“You were right,” she said with a smile, “as usual.” Already, something about the expansive landscape before them was calming her nerves.
They were silent for a long moment, just taking in the view and the quiet joy of each other’s company. After a few minutes, Rhys tilted her chin back towards him, ever so gently, eyes shining with love and wonder.
“When we get up there, I know we’ll say our vows in front of everyone. But here any now, I want you to remember that I love you unconditionally. You have changed my life for the better, a hundred times over, since the moment you walked into it – you didn’t just bring me out of the darkness, you were willing to stay there with me. And nothing you have done or will do could make me love you any less. And I’m so grateful to have you by my side,” he said, the beginnings of tears shining in the corners of her eyes.
Feyre felt tears prick at hers, too. “I love you, Rhysand. You’ve cared about me when even I didn’t, and I don’t have the words to express how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. I shine because of you. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. And no matter what we face – I know we’ll face it together, even if I’m scared. Even if we’re both scared.”
Emotion shining bright in his eyes, he pulled her in for a kiss.
“We’re eternal, darling. Nothing is going to pull us apart as long as we’re a team,” he murmured, nipping at her earlobe gently.
“Always,” she whispered back, leaning into him.
Their embrace might have turned into something more, if it hadn’t been for the sudden yell that sounded from below.
“Where the hell are you two? You’re late for your own wedding!”
Feyre broke apart from her husband-to-be with a giggle. “I think we’re late.”
“Should we keep them waiting?” Rhys asked, mischief sparking in his eyes.
“I swear, if you two are fucking right now, I’m calling off the wedding!” Mor shouted again. “I know you’re around here somewhere!”
Rhys cringed. “On second thought, maybe we shouldn’t keep them waiting much longer.”
Feyre couldn’t help the smile that curled up on her lips when she looked at him. “Ready to go get married, my love?”
Rhys returned her smile, eyes full of endless joy. At last, her frayed nerves were calm.
“Lead the way, darling.
