Guidelines I follow as well as any helpful links to some name generators will be under the cut! ♥

Starting a new Neighborhood can be tough! Where do you even start? Well, this written guide and video above is here to help you get started!

STEP 1: Creating/Choosing a Template - If you want to start from COMPLETELY SCRATCH, open up SimCity 4 and create your own map! - If that's too difficult or you just don't want to (like me!), you can download maps off ModTheSims or use the ones already provided in-game for you! :)

STEP 2: Naming Your Neighborhood/Lots - Take inspiration from real life! - Generators also help A TONNN! Below I linked the ones I like most! Feel free to mix and match them to come up with more unique combinations!

Fantasy Name Generators (Town Names) Mithril And Mages - City Names Sims 2 Name Generator

STEP 3: Lot Planning - Personally, I like to keep Community Lots/Apartments near the center of the map, and Residential homes around the sides/edges - Decide if you want just Small, Medium and/or Large lots in your neighborhood! - Place them around the map to figure out a layout until you are satisfied!

STEP 4: Choosing Your Community Lots - Main Hood Essentials: Cemetery, Restaurant, Park, Clothing Store, Grocery Store - University Essentials: Library, Town Hall, Lounge, Gym - Shopping District Essentials: Everything you can imagine! I also like to leave space for Sims to own their own businesses! I tend to use Shopping Districts as Secondary-Main Neighborhoods! - Downtown Essentials: Bowling Alley, Bar, Restaurant, Cemetery - Vacation Essentials: Hotels, Parks, Landmarks After I have the essentials, I fill in the gaps with whatever I want! Like I added a Car Dealership in my main neighborhood as well as a Cosmetic Surgery clinic! I also added a Train Station in my University!

The Mithril and Mages link above is great to come up with names and business ideas too!

STEP 5: Decorating Your 'Hood - I do this overtime! I don't think there's ever been a time where I've stopped decorating! Start by placing some trees or the flower decorations around the empty lots you placed!

STEP 6: Neighborhood/Lot Descriptions - Personally the hardest thing about Custom Neighborhoods! The good thing though is these can be left blank and nobody would know! - My best advice is to wait until most of the 'hood is built up, and then come with some descriptions! - Photoshopping the pictures like EA/Maxis will create beautiful pictures for the Neighborhood Stories album! (This is another post for another time)

STEP 7: The Families - Can't have a complete neighborhood without Sims and Families! - Use the Random Aspect Generator to come up with various Personalities for your Sims! - If you forgot to use a Clean Template (No Townies), I found a mod that will change up their names! - Take inspiration from TV Shows or the other Sims games! I always tend to recreate the Broke Family's storyline and Malcolm Landgraab's storyline with 2 families in my neighborhoods! (I like having a Rich and a Poor family lmao)

Creating new neighborhoods is always so much fun! I hope some of these guidelines help you get inspired!

❤ He wakes you to your soft sniffles. He didn't know what the sound was at first. Did an animal get in?

❤ His movements are small - so small you hardly notice them. But when he peeks through the slightest slit of his eyes, the two of you make eye contact.

❤ You quickly wipe away your tears. You know he's smart enough to have put together that you were crying.

❤ This is actually untrue.

❤ He didn't get that you were crying until he literally got a good look of your red eyes. He first assumed that it was allergies, too, but how embarrassed you look gives it away.

❤ "Are you hurt?" He asks.

❤ "No," you laugh a little, "I'm just so happy, I'm sorry."

❤ "What?"

❤ You sit up. "I love you so much. I'm so happy to be here with you right now."

❤ He scoots back a little. It was an unintentional way of distancing himself. Was he someone that deserved this? You looked so gorgeous against the moonlight.

❤ "I... love you too."

Shuichi Saihara

♥ With the date finally coming to a close, the two of you stand on a bridge together. Looking out to all the buildings and cars is so beautiful once the sun meets the horizon. The array of orange's and reds is so memorable. And Shuichi, with his hand around you, overwhelms you so much. It feels as if the ocean is pouring a wave all over your body. You start to cry salty tears.

♥ "Shuichi..." You start.

♥ "Woah, wait a minute-" he draws back to make sure you're okay. He immediately starts to worry. Was he grabbing you without consent? Has he been making you uncomfortable?

♥ "Shuichi, I'm so in love with you I can't even handle it. You're perfect."

♥ His heart drops down to his chest. "Are you lying?"

♥ "No," you wave your hands in front of yourself defensively, "not at all." He still draws back, leaving your body bare of his touch.

♥ With that, you wrap your arms around him and pull him close. "I'm not lying, I promise."

♥ His hands stiff. Where does he put them?

♥ He pats your head and awkwardly looks for a place to stare at. Your soft sniffles make his palms start to sweat. As long as you're okay... then it's fine. Everything is fine now that the two of you are together.

❥ It was storming outside, the sky wasn't filled with anything like lightning but the rain hit your windows like bullets. You were cuddled up with him, a blanket covering the two of you.

❥ He had his arm around you. His grip on your body was tight, but it wasn't impossible to wiggle out of. Not that you'd ever try.

❥ Being like this, comfortable against him, was a blessing. Usually, for storms, you'd have to deal with the harsh weather alone. You don't have to be alone anymore.

❥ When he places a small kiss on your forehead, you can't hold it back anymore. You start to cry.

❥ He notices immediately.

❥ "Did I hurt you?" He panics.

❥ "No, I'm just so happy right now." You whisper breathily. The rain fills the silence in the air.

❥ "I'm happy too?" He puts his hand on the top of your head as he's unsure what to do.

❥ You just laugh. "Don't worry about it."

☁ He's rambling again. You're sitting on his shoulders as he points out all the constellations.

☁ He's pointed out all of these before, but you still listen. It's a good way to past the time since you're not excited about the trip back. Walking through the woods at night is not exactly fun, especially since you're not wearing the best shoes.

☁ But you've always gone with him just to hear him talk about something he loves.

☁ His hands are on your thighs as they hold you still. Occasionally, he'll remove on to point at the sky before returning it.

☁ It's so peaceful up here. You can hear the birds and the cicada's singing.

☁ From here, he can't see the small tears leaving your eyes. This is your boyfriend - tall and passionate. He's the one who opens jars for you and holds the door. He's gentle when he needs to be and rough when he wants. He's absolutely perfect.

☁ And now he's here, the same place you had your first date, showing you the stars.

☁ It's beautiful.

☼ Whenever he sees you cry, he goes into soft giant mode. He'll scoop you into his arms and hold you against him. It makes you feel comforted.

☼ That's how you landed here, in his arms after a bad day. It feels unusual to cry into arms that are so soothing.

☼ He cares for you. It's also weird to feel so cared for. People will always tell you they care for you but this? Feeling it here, in this moment? It's something unforgettable.

☼ Your tears turn from ones of sadness to ones of happiness. You finally found someone who could treat you the way you wanted to be treated.

☼ Through all of your crying he held you and rubbed your back, soothing the shirt around your skin and making sure we were comfortable.

❅ He'll knock on your door, and to your delight, already be tired enough to go into bed with you immediately.

❅ You get to see his beautiful yellow eyes up close. You've memorized each speck of gold in them. His hair will curl around you with his every move.

❅ He's just so... beautiful.

❅ You don't even realize your crying until he wipes the tears from your face.

❅ "I'm sorry," you let out.

❅ "Do not apologize," he says, "you're very cute."

☢ There's not a lot of affection when it comes to with being with Ryoma Hoshi.

☢ There's a lot of distant days, which you're used to, and you need to have a lot of patience.

☢ Before you even know it, he's already opening up to you. You don't see the small cheek kisses and the slow dancing as anything significant at first.

☢ It isn't until he spends days away from you do you realize how close you had gotten with him. He was finally being vulnerable with you.

☢ The day he came back you were in tears, hugging him tightly, apologizing for everything yet nothing at all.

☢ He awkwardly patted your hair and told you he forgave you for "whatever you are apologizing for."

Rantarou Amami

❣ It all started with love letters.

❣ You fell for him very quickly. The small notes he'd leave in your locker, signed with his name, were too flustering. Anybody giving you that type of attention would quickly own your heart.

❣ The dates were simple. You'd go out to eat, shop, and look at nature. You'd do anything if it meant hanging out with him.

❣ And then the two of you started kissing each other's cheeks and holding hands.

❣ That turned into him gifted you a necklace, asking to be your boyfriend. You were so delighted. That was the first time you cried in front of him.

❣ And now, as the two of you move in together, you can't stop the tears from flowing again.

❣ "I'm so excited," you explain as he stares at you with worry, "I just love you so much - I'm so happy."

❣ He relaxes at that. With one arm, he pulls you into a hug. "I'm excited, too. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else."

❣ You nod against his shoulder.

*You may think he’s all cool and collective, but as he leads you through the crowds and to the next platform, Hajime’s hand and arm are tingling with nervousness and giddiness. He hopes that his palm isn’t sweaty nor is he squeezing your hand too tight. He keeps face forward for a bit, trying to will his blush down, until you ask him about the guitar. He blinks at you but then smiles sheepishly*

“I have a few songs in mind but if you have any requests, I’ll do my best.” *He promises. A out of place strand of your hair catches his attention and he wonders if that was his fault from dragging you a little quickly. Without hesitation, he tucks it behind your ear with his free hand that lingers close to your face for a moment. He gets caught up in admiring you and he has the urge to brush your cheek*

“I missed you,” *He breathes softly, still staring until there’s an announcement of the train pulling into the station. With a slight cough, he pulls his hand away from your face yet the other refuses to let go of your hand. You two wait for the passengers to step of the train then you two head in to find a place to stand in the corner of the car*

“It’s a little busy, I hope you don’t mind us standing for a bit?” *He tilts his head at you with a smile while making sure you’re comfortable and out of any harms way*

“So, I know you’ve been busy with a project lately. How’s that going? Jade and Mr. Refreshing helping you with that and work?” *He asks, thinking about the last thing you two had texted about last night*

Hajime Iwaizumi

I’m not picky about music, so I’m sure I’ll like the songs you picked. *In my mind, there were so many questions I wanted to ask. Did he choose songs because they were what he was most comfortable with? Or did he choose songs with me in mind? The second option made me want to blush even more. I also wondered what his voice would sound like when he sang. Would it be soft and sweet or bold and strong?*

*I’m pulled abruptly from my pondering when I feel him tuck back a strand of my hair. I glance up quickly to find him looking at me so intently that my breath hitches. I swallow back the ‘thank you’ on the tip of my tongue, not wanting to interrupt whatever line of thought he was having that had him looking at me like I was something precious.*

*His next words come out so softly, yet they carry enough weight to make my heart feel like it might explode with emotion. He missed me? He… missed me. I have to clear my throat to even reply.* I missed you too. *When his hand leaves my face, I have to resist the urge to snatch it back. How did he always make me feel so seen and so special?*

*Once we’re on the train, I hold onto his hand a bit tighter, feeling thankful that he didn’t let me get squished by all the people* I don’t mind standing. And my project is great. I finished it up and submitted it yesterday so I could make sure all my attention was on you today. Jade and Suga have been very supportive though, with work and… about you and I. They were surprised when I told them.
