Physical damage to the charging port is another common problem. If you notice cracks, bent pins, or other visible signs of damage, it’s best to avoid using the port until you can get it fixed.
It’s usually cheaper to fix a damaged charging port than it is to buy a new phone. It’s also a good idea to have the charger port repaired before selling your old device, as it will bring in more value. If you’re unable to find a repair shop near you, try online shopping for phone parts.
Software Issues
Most electronics repair shops focus on hardware problems, but a good cell phone shop Zephyrills should also be familiar with software issues. Software is what makes a device run, and it can affect everything from the phone’s camera to its email program. Some common software issues include using Wi-Fi hotspots in public places, which can be a security risk and allow hackers to steal personal information or change settings on the device. Other common software issues are incorrectly installing or updating apps, as well as using a cracked screen. The city’s online issue reporting tool allows citizens to report issues and receive automated responses to let them know their issue has been received.

Why Are Apps Taking Up So Much Space Mac
Tumblr media
Running out of hard drive space is incredibly annoying. OS X needs a good amount of free space to function properly so as things get full not only will you be unable to download or transfer large files, you'll start to get panicked warnings from the operating system. While hard drives keep getting bigger and cheaper, solid state drives do not. If you have a 2TB HD in your machine you'll be okay for longer. If you have a 128, 256, or even 512GB SSD, however, things can get full and fast. So what do you do? If you can't or simply don't want to upgrade your HD or SSD drive to something bigger, the first step is identifying what's causing the problem, then figuring out what you get rid of to free back up that precious empty space!
Why Are Apps Taking Up So Much Space Mac Os
Why Do Apps Take Up So Much Space On Mac
How to find out what's taking up the most space on your Mac's hard drive
Top 5 app cleaners for Mac. Below are 5 great apps for uninstalling software. Choose the one that works best for you. CleanMyMac X. CleanMyMac X does so much more than just remove unwanted apps and free up valuable space. With 4 million users worldwide - and counting - we are delighted that over 10.5 million apps have been removed, with millions more files and folders that were taking up.
Sep 11, 2012  The space taken up by 'Apps' in the gas gauge includes the data STORED by the app. So, for example, all photos in Camera+ that are NOT moved to the camera roll are stored in the app. All your iBook purchases? Stored in the app. Nook, Kindle, Comics, Goodreads (crap you do a lot of reading)? Stored in the app. The iHeartRadio cache? Stored in the app.
Apr 26, 2020  At the same time, system restore points can be automatically created when users install a new app or update and they take up a lot of hard drive space. So, users can delete the restore points or reduce the hard drive space used for system restore to free up disk space.
Jun 25, 2020  Do you wonder what is ‘Other’ on Mac storage and why does it eats up so much space?Along with the answer to this perplexing question, we also have tips and trick on how to clear it up. Just like the “Other” on iPhone and iPad, it is home to a number of files, cached data and more. This section houses a mix of junk and important files.
Jul 02, 2018  Why this works isn’t entirely clear, but presumably when you connect an iPhone or iPad to a computer and open iTunes, it performs some sort of maintenance or cleanup behavior that dumps caches and temp files from the iOS System section, perhaps in preparation for a backup to iTunes, and when finished it can free up a notable amount of storage capacity on the device.
The best way to find out what's eating up space on your Mac is to download a third party program that can analyze and break down what's using the most space. There are several tools that can do this, both in and out of the Mac App Store.
The first two options I'd recommend trying are Mac App Store offerings. Disk Diag is a dead simple utility that shows you what's eating space and how much. It also estimates how much space you can free up. If you just need a few gigs or aren't in desperate need, it should be passable. Just don't expect to clear out hundreds of gigs with it.
Disk Diag - Free - Download Now
Tumblr media
DaisyDisk is more advanced and offers a much better breakdown. Not only can you analyze your entire hard drive, DaisyDisk tells you exactly what's eating the most space whether that's photos, applications, or something else. It's perfect for people who don't necessarily know what is eating space on their hard drive and have no idea where to begin.
DaisyDisk - $9.99 - Download Now
Download folder
The first place I always look when trying to clear out my hard drive is my downloads folder. They're not always as large as media files but they're often much less important to you as well. I always find tons of disk images, large graphics files, and tons of other crap I don't need anymore. For most people the downloads folder is a temporary dumping ground for things. After you've got it cleared out, try and make a habit of cleaning it out regularly. (And yes, once you move things to the trash, empty it. Your disk isn't really cleaned up until you've take then trash out!)
Movie, TV, music, and app files
The most common offenders when it comes to eating up storage space are media files. Large videos like movies, multiple smaller videos like TV shows or home movies, or even massive amounts of tiny files like music and apps can all add up. One HD movie can take up 4-6GB. A single HD TV show can take up 1GB or more (that can be 10-20+GB a season!). iOS game files can be 1-2GB as well in some cases.
If you've downloaded movies or TV shows from iTunes in the past and you're done watching them, you can also get back tons of space by removing the physical copies. You can either transfer them up to an external drive for safe keeping or, if you're not adverse to it, simply trust in Apple's iCloud service. That lets you stream content to your Apple TV or re-download it to your iOS devices or iTunes on your Mac whenever you want. (Sometimes studios pull their movies or shows from iTunes, so it's a risk, but it doesn't happen often and they usually return. If in doubt, however, move them to an external drive instead!)
Old iOS device backups and software updates
If you've ever backed up or updated an iOS device to iTunes, these two can save you gigabytes of space all on their own.
Mail attachments
If you use Apple's Mail app or another third party app, your Mac is saving email attachments and message archives unless you've told it not to or route attachments elsewhere, like to Dropbox. If you don't do any of that, pay attention to how much data is stored in Mail.app and see if you can do some house cleaning there as well. Sort by attachments and delete all those old, joke PPT files chuck full of images and movies you never wanted your friends or family to email you anyway!
Cache files
Sometimes apps you frequently use and web browsers save data in order to load things faster. They do it to speed things up and make for a better, faster experience when you go back to those sites again. While it never hurts to delete them, and they will be rebuilt, they're nowhere nearly as big as some of the other offenders and the system does a pretty good job at managing them nowadays.

New EU regulations target App Store, empowering developers
The EU has introduced new regulations and measures to help protect developers and publishers who deal with storefronts like the App Store.
So, your Mac is running out of storage. You try to figure out what’s taking up your disk space by clicking the Apple logo on the top-left of the screen, selecting About This Mac, and hitting the Storage tab.
To your surprise, you see a yellow bar representing “System” that seems to occupy way more space than you think it should. In the example above, it only shows 207 GB, but take a look at this Apple discussion — some Mac users report that System Storage takes an astonishing 250 GB.
Worse yet, you have no idea what’s included in “System” storage, because clicking the “Manage” button brings you to this System Information window… and the “System” row is greyed out.
Why does my Mac system require so much space?
What does it contain?
Is it safe to remove some of those system files?
How do I regain more storage space?
Questions like these may easily get to your head. Although my Mac now has a good amount of disk space available, I’m always wary of files that are taking up more space than they should.
I have no idea why “System” is greyed out while “Documents,” “System Junk,” “Trash,” etc. allow you to review the files based on size and type. My hunch is that Apple does this on purpose to prevent users from deleting system files that could lead to serious issues.
What Files Are Included in System Storage on Mac?
During my research, I found many people report that Apple counts iTunes backup files and app caches (e.g. Adobe video cache files) in the System category.
Since it’s greyed out and we are unable to click on that category for deeper analysis, we’ll have to use a third-party app to assist.
CleanMyMac X is perfect for this kind of analysis. Since I tested the app in our best Mac cleaner review, it immediately came to my head when I saw “System” was greyed out in Storage. Note that CleanMyMac isn’t freeware, but the new “Space Lens” feature is free to use and it allows you to scan your Macintosh HD, and then show you an in-depth overview of what’s taking up disk space on your Mac.
Step 1:Download CleanMyMac and install the app on your Mac. Open it, under “Space Lens” module, first click the yellow “Grant Access” button to allow the app to access your Mac files and then select “Scan” to get started.
Step 2: Soon it’ll show you a folder/file tree and you can hover your cursor over each block (i.e. a folder). There you can find more details. In this case, I clicked “System” folder to continue.
Step 3: The file breakdown below indicates that some Library and iOS Support files are the culprits.
The interesting part is that the System file size shown in CleanMyMac is much smaller than the size shown in System Information. This puzzles me and makes me believe that Apple definitely has counted some other files (not real system files) in the System category.
What are they? I have no clue, honestly. But as reported by other Mac users who experienced the same issue, they said Apple also considers app caches and iTunes backup files as System files.
Why Are Apps Taking Up So Much Space Mac Os
Out of curiosity, I ran CleanMyMac again for a quick scan. That app found 13.92 GB in iTunes Junk. Further review revealed that the junk files are old iOS device backups, software updates, broken downloads, etc.
But even after adding this amount to the original system files returned by CleanMyMac X, the total size is still a bit less than what’s returned in System Information.
Why Do Apps Take Up So Much Space On Mac
If cleaning the System Storage is still not enough to bring your Mac available disk space to a normal level (i.e. 20% or more), see below.
What Else Can I Do to Reclaim More Disk Space?
There are tons of ways out there. Here are a few of my favorites that should help you get back a decent amount of space quickly.
1. Sort all files by size and delete old large files.
Open Finder, go to Recents and look at the Size column. Click on it to sort all recent files by file size (from large to small). You’ll have a clear overview of what items are eating up a large amount of space, e.g. From 1 GB to 10 GB, and from 100 MB to 1 GB.
On my MacBook Pro, I found a few large videos that could be transferred to an external drive.
Note: If the Size column doesn’t show up, click on the Settings icon and select Arrange By > Size.
2. Remove duplicate files.
Don’t forget those duplicates and similar files! They can stack up without you being aware of it. Finding them is sometimes time-consuming. That’s what Gemini 2 is designed for. Simply select a few frequently used folders (e.g. Documents, Downloads, etc.) in the main zone of Gemini.
It then scans them and returns all the duplicate files that might be worth removing. Of course, it’s always a good practice to review them before doing so. You can also read more from our detailed Gemini review here.
Wrapping It Up
Tumblr media
Ever since Apple introduced the Optimized Storage feature, Mac users got the option of saving space by storing content in the cloud. Apple also has several new tools that make it easy to find and remove unneeded files.
That bar under the Storage tab is beautiful. It does allow you to get a quick overview of what’s taking up the most space on our hard drive. However, it still lacks insights into the “System” category as it’s greyed out.
Hopefully, the guides above have helped you figure out the reasons you’ve got so much “System” data, and most importantly you’ve reclaimed some disk space — especially for new MacBooks pre-installed with flash storage — every gigabyte is precious!

Unleash Your iPhone 12 Pro: The Advantages of Buying Unlocked
In the fast-paced world of smartphones, the iPhone 12 Pro stands out as a pinnacle of innovation and style. With its stunning design, powerful features, and cutting-edge technology, it's no wonder why the iPhone 12 Pro remains one of the most sought-after devices on the market. However, when it comes to purchasing this device, one crucial decision often arises: locked or unlocked? In this article, we'll delve into the advantages of choosing the unlocked iPhone 12 Pro and why it's a decision worth considering.
First and foremost, let's clarify what it means for a phone to be "unlocked." An unlocked phone is not tied to any specific carrier or network provider. This means that you have the freedom to choose your own carrier and switch between different networks at any time without any restrictions. In the case of the iPhone 12 Pro, opting for the unlocked version offers several notable benefits.
One of the most significant advantages of purchasing an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro is flexibility. With an unlocked device, you're not bound to a single carrier's network. Whether you prefer AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or any other carrier, you have the freedom to select the plan and provider that best suits your needs. This flexibility is particularly advantageous for frequent travelers or individuals who live in areas with limited coverage from a single carrier.
Moreover, choosing an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro can potentially save you money in the long run. While carrier-locked phones often come with subsidized prices or installment plans, they typically require you to sign a lengthy contract with the carrier. These contracts often include higher monthly fees and may lock you into a specific plan for an extended period. In contrast, purchasing an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro upfront allows you to shop around for the best deals and take advantage of more affordable prepaid or month-to-month plans.
Another compelling reason to opt for an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro is the ability to avoid carrier bloatware and restrictions. Locked phones often come preloaded with carrier-specific apps and software that cannot be removed, taking up valuable storage space and potentially slowing down your device. Additionally, carriers may impose restrictions on unlocked features or limit certain functionalities, such as tethering or international roaming. By choosing an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro, you can enjoy a clean, bloatware-free experience and have full control over your device's capabilities.
Furthermore, purchasing an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro enhances its resale value and longevity. Unlocked phones are more desirable on the secondary market since they can be used with any carrier, making them appealing to a broader range of buyers. Additionally, unlocked phones receive software updates directly from Apple, ensuring that you have access to the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements without relying on carrier approval or delays. This ensures that your iPhone 12 Pro remains up-to-date and supported for years to come.
It's essential to note that while purchasing an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro offers numerous benefits, there are a few considerations to keep in mind. Firstly, unlocked phones typically come with a higher upfront cost compared to carrier-locked devices. However, this initial investment is often outweighed by the long-term savings and flexibility that an unlocked device provides. Additionally, not all carriers support unlocked phones, so it's crucial to check compatibility before making a purchase.
In conclusion, choosing an unlocked iPhone 12 Pro unlocks a world of possibilities and advantages. From greater flexibility and savings to a cleaner user experience and enhanced resale value, the benefits of purchasing an unlocked device are clear. Whether you're a frequent traveler, budget-conscious consumer, or simply value freedom and control over your device, opting for the unlocked iPhone 12 Pro is a decision that can positively impact your mobile experience for years to come. So why wait? Unleash the full potential of your iPhone 12 Pro today.

Apple's macOS Server (formerly called OS X Server) is specially designed for macOS and iOS powered hardware devices to easily configure iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac devices, share files, sync contacts, schedule meetings, publish wikis, develop software, remotely access network, host own website and many more things in easy way. MacOS Server is the software application available for macOS.
We’ll be repeatedly referring to these Apple OS versions below, so it’s good to know the basic macOS timeline.

STEP 1. Prepare your Mac for installation
Given your Mac isn’t new and is filled with data, you will probably need enough free space on your Mac. This includes not just space for the OS itself but also space for other applications and your user data. One more argument is that the free space on your disk translates into virtual memory so your apps have “fuel” to operate on. The chart below tells you how much free space is needed.
Note, that it is recommended that you install OS on a clean drive. Next, you will need enough disk space available, for example, to create Recovery Partition. Here are some ideas to free up space on your drive:
Uninstall large unused apps
Empty Trash Bin and Downloads
Locate the biggest files on your computer:
Go to Finder > All My Files > Arrange by size Then you can move your space hoggers onto an external drive or a cloud storage. If you aren’t comfortable with cleaning the Mac manually, there are some nice automatic “room cleaners”. Our favorite is CleanMyMac as it’s most simple to use of all. It deletes system junk, old broken apps, and the rest of hidden junk on your drive.
Download CleanMyMac for OS 10.4 - 10.8 (free version)
Download CleanMyMac for OS 10.9 (free version)
Download CleanMyMac for OS 10.10 - 10.14 (free version)
STEP 2. Get a copy of Mac OS X download
Mac Os X Server Iso
Normally, it is assumed that updating OS is a one-way road. That’s why going back to a past Apple OS version is problematic. The main challenge is to download the OS installation file itself, because your Mac may already be running a newer version. If you succeed in downloading the OS installation, your next step is to create a bootable USB or DVD and then reinstall the OS on your computer.
How to download older Mac OS X versions via the App Store
If you once had purchased an old version of Mac OS X from the App Store, open it and go to the Purchased tab. There you’ll find all the installers you can download. However, it doesn’t always work that way. The purchased section lists only those operating systems that you had downloaded in the past. But here is the path to check it:
Click the App Store icon.
Click Purchases in the top menu.
Scroll down to find the preferred OS X version.
Click Download.
This method allows you to download Mavericks and Yosemite by logging with your Apple ID — only if you previously downloaded them from the Mac App Store.
Without App Store: Download Mac OS version as Apple Developer
If you are signed with an Apple Developer account, you can get access to products that are no longer listed on the App Store. If you desperately need a lower OS X version build, consider creating a new Developer account among other options. The membership cost is $99/year and provides a bunch of perks unavailable to ordinary users.
Nevertheless, keep in mind that if you visit developer.apple.com/downloads, you can only find 10.3-10.6 OS X operating systems there. Newer versions are not available because starting Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.7, the App Store has become the only source of updating Apple OS versions.
Purchase an older version of Mac operating system
You can purchase a boxed or email version of past Mac OS X directly from Apple. Both will cost you around $20. For the reason of being rather antiquated, Snow Leopard and earlier Apple versions can only be installed from DVD.
Buy a boxed edition of Snow Leopard 10.6 Get an email copy of Lion 10.7 Get an email copy of Mountain Lion 10.8
The email edition comes with a special download code you can use for the Mac App Store. Note, that to install the Lion or Mountain Lion, your Mac needs to be running Snow Leopard so you can install the newer OS on top of it.
How to get macOS El Capitan download
If you are wondering if you can run El Capitan on an older Mac, rejoice as it’s possible too. But before your Mac can run El Capitan it has to be updated to OS X 10.6.8. So, here are main steps you should take:
1. Install Snow Leopard from install DVD. 2. Update to 10.6.8 using Software Update. 3. Download El Capitan here.
“I can’t download an old version of Mac OS X”
If you have a newer Mac, there is no physical option to install Mac OS versions older than your current Mac model. For instance, if your MacBook was released in 2014, don’t expect it to run any OS released prior of that time, because older Apple OS versions simply do not include hardware drivers for your Mac.
But as it often happens, workarounds are possible. There is still a chance to download the installation file if you have an access to a Mac (or virtual machine) running that operating system. For example, to get an installer for Lion, you may ask a friend who has Lion-operated Mac or, once again, set up a virtual machine running Lion. Then you will need to prepare an external drive to download the installation file using OS X Utilities.
Tumblr media
After you’ve completed the download, the installer should launch automatically, but you can click Cancel and copy the file you need. Below is the detailed instruction how to do it.
STEP 3. Install older OS X onto an external drive
The following method allows you to download Mac OS X Lion, Mountain Lion, and Mavericks.
Start your Mac holding down Command + R.
Prepare a clean external drive (at least 10 GB of storage).
Within OS X Utilities, choose Reinstall OS X.
Select external drive as a source.
Enter your Apple ID.
Now the OS should start downloading automatically onto the external drive. After the download is complete, your Mac will prompt you to do a restart, but at this point, you should completely shut it down. Now that the installation file is “captured” onto your external drive, you can reinstall the OS, this time running the file on your Mac.
Boot your Mac from your standard drive.
Connect the external drive.
Go to external drive > OS X Install Data.
Locate InstallESD.dmg disk image file — this is the file you need to reinstall Lion OS X. The same steps are valid for Mountain Lion and Mavericks.
How to downgrade a Mac running later macOS versions
Tumblr media
If your Mac runs macOS Sierra 10.12 or macOS High Sierra 10.13, it is possible to revert it to the previous system if you are not satisfied with the experience. You can do it either with Time Machine or by creating a bootable USB or external drive. Instruction to downgrade from macOS Sierra

Instruction to downgrade from macOS Mojave
Instruction to downgrade from macOS Catalina
Before you do it, the best advice is to back your Mac up so your most important files stay intact. In addition to that, it makes sense to clean up your Mac from old system junk files and application leftovers. The easiest way to do it is to run CleanMyMac X on your machine (download it for free here).
Visit your local Apple Store to download older OS X version
If none of the options to get older OS X worked, pay a visit to nearest local Apple Store. They should have image installations going back to OS Leopard and earlier. You can also ask their assistance to create a bootable USB drive with the installation file. So here you are. We hope this article has helped you to download an old version of Mac OS X. I thought it would be fun to do a comparison art of how I’ve been drawing my OC Raine - so here is my first ever drawing of her, all the way back in 2012, versus my most recent drawing of her in 2020!
Back during 2012, I was obsessed with Adventure Time and giving bird companions to my characters. Also, 2012 me felt like a genius drawing this in MS paint. Simple times.
Everything that happened in between (with significant art every two years) is below if you want to check it out! This post is a little long, so I’ll put the rest under the cut.
Tumblr media
This one is 2014 - I used the default drawing app on the iPhone I think. She was still an Adventure Time OC at the time so I pretty much stole the Ice Queen’s gown and gave it to her. Also I see you, younger me, hiding hands in long sleeves AND behind the back.
Tumblr media
2016!  This was drawn on my phone using Sketchbook (the old version with a blue icon). Not entirely sure where this gown design came from, but at this point I was starting to think about drawing less stylized bodies. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I just wanted to move away from purely copying something else’s art style, which is what I was doing at the time.
Tumblr media
Things were getting somewhere in 2018 - Raine was no longer an Adventure Time OC, she was my own character, a spirit of the rain with a dress and hair of storm clouds. Also lol, tried to draw her original look but the outfit and colors are all wrong. This was also drawn on my phone using Sketchbook.
Tumblr media
Also 2018, but on a brand new phone and a new app! Trying out Medibang Paint is one of the best decisions I ever made, and it’s still what I use on my mobile devices. This mer-Raine design isn’t entirely original since I was drawing from Legend of Mana (Specifically I used Flameshe’s design), but this is still a huge step up from what I was able to do with Sketchbook. Also yay, drawing more hands!
Tumblr media
2019!!! By this time I know for sure what I want Raine to look like, and it was also in 2019 that I stepped up my backgrounds. Which lead to...
Tumblr media
This monster artwork in December of 2019! I was on a kick to draw characters as detailed as possible with fantasy inspirations, so Raine became a merperson with an Aquarius look going on. The water took so long to paint but I’m glad for it! Also I got a Samsung Galaxy tablet in 2019, and having a stylus makes for cleaner, quicker lineart. I still prefer to draw on that instead of my Wacom tbh, but I just gotta adapt to it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here are my other 2020 drawings for Raine (with a bonus Alexandra and Destiny)!
It’s been a long journey since I started out with MS Paint, and it’s good to remember how far I’ve come and what else I’m looking forward to achieving. I’m still working on drawing Raine consistently (kinda still have the tendency to draw characters with long, model-like legs and I want to move away from that). I’ve been trying to draw Raine to look more Filipino over time, and maybe sometime I can make a story for her set in or using mythologies of the Philippines, so I have that to work towards to.
Also, some other lessons I’ve learned:
A good art app can make a difference! Medibang is my current go-to and I’m adapting to Clip Studio Paint as well. Experiment, try to find out which is comfortable to use. I’m only using Medibang’s default settings but it’s taken me quite far because I’ve been using it for quite some time now.
When you want to develop drawing something - in my case it was hands, draw it over and over and over again! It’ll look bad and awkward but you should rinse and repeat until you get the look you want.
Don’t be scared to go back to basics. I started drawing Raine exclusively in an art style mimicking Adventure Time, and over time my inspiration shifted to anime, so I drew Raine with that kind of visuals in mind. But when I wanted to draw her in a style I really wanted, I looked up drawing in a more realistic style. I still don’t draw realistically, but that helped me find the look I want for my art.
Addition and subtraction - when it comes to character details, some stuff gets left behind, and new stuff gets added in. Like with anything, just go on and try out what works! Raine lost her earrings (though I might return that now lol) and she used to have a feather in her ponytail, but she got this look with the cloud hair and clothing, and I think that will be staying. It’s a design I love - I love how it looks and it’s fun to draw!
Well, that should be enough rambling. I hope this is fun to read for other people as fun as it was for me to gather everything up!

Pop Out Timer for iOS 14
Back on August 17th, Apple rejected our beta for an iOS 14 version of Pop Out Timer. After back and forth with Beta App Review, attempting to appease them as best we could, another rejection, a lot of back and forth with App Review (and a blog post), a crashing bug caused by iOS 14.2 (with all the emails and negative reviews that go along with that), an official appeal, a few phone calls, an official “suggested change to an App Review guideline”, an email, and finally a voicemail with the good news: Pop Out Timer 3.1.4 is now live in the App Store. It’s a relief after a stressful 4 months.
Here’s what’s new.
iPhone Support
When Apple announced that the iPhone would get Picture in Picture support it took about half a second to figure out we’d try to get Pop Out Timer running it. Our UI already supported multitasking so it only took a few minor tweaks to ensure it properly fit the small screen. If you’ve used Pop Out Timer on iPad you know exactly what to expect.
Tumblr media
Set up your timer or stopwatch, tap Pop Out, and hit play. The timer will follow you around as you navigate other apps. Use a pinch gesture to change the size of the window or flick it off screen momentarily if it gets in your way.
Tumblr media
Widgets
Pop Out Timer already had a widget but with the introduction of iOS 14′s new widget system we took the opportunity to re-write and come up with something better.
There is a small widget just for the stopwatch. One tap will open the app, navigate to the stopwatch, pop it out, and start it.
Our medium widget gives you that same stopwatch functionality, but it also includes up to your 9 most recent timers. Tap a timer to open the app, create your timer, and pop it out.
Tumblr media
Sound
Pop Out Timer primary focus has always been as a silent presentation timer, but we’ve added the flexibility to have a subtle chime at the end of your timer. You must tap the speaker icon on the timer to unmute and make sure you have alerts enabled on your device if you would like to hear the sound. Please keep in mind that it is a single chime; it will not keep pestering you until it is addressed. Please use accordingly.
Updated Icon
I’m very happy with our updated icon. It’s like a cleaner version of the original, with better margins, clearer text, and a better representation of the timer in action.
Tumblr media
App Privacy
Apple’s app privacy report is really easy to fill out when you don’t collect a single thing.
Tumblr media
Of course, 3.1.4 also addresses that crashing bug caused by iOS 14.2. We hope you find Pop Out Timer useful. It’s available on the App Store as a one-time purchase of $3.99. We’d love to hear your feedback at @thinktapwork.
