Journal Entry #1
previous // next // story index
_____
Victor
Hey, everyone! It’s me, Victor. Welcome to my online journal.
I’ve never kept a journal of any kind before, so I actually have no clue what I’m doing. Other than messing around with my friends, recording ourselves doing skateboard tricks or stupid dance moves, I’ve never made a serious video before either, so this is gonna be an experience. I decided to go with a video journal because... I don’t know. I’m not that great at writing. Plus, talking on a video feels more authentic to me somehow.
I’m gonna post this online, not that I expect to get internet famous or really even to have a huge audience. The idea of uploading it is mostly so I don’t fill up all the storage space on my phone with a zillion videos of me rambling about my life. I mean, if anybody wants to watch it, here it is. Don’t expect movie quality. I’m not a professional videographer or anything like that. I'm just an average guy with a smartphone and a lot of thoughts about stuff.
So, since this is the first entry, I guess I should tell you something about myself, right? Do kind of an introduction like, “Who is this Victor guy anyway?”
My full name is Victor Thomas Edward Nelson, I’m 25 years old and my birthday is the second of December. I’m from a medium-sized Canadian town called Maple Grove, which is kind of a boring place, if I’m being honest. I love it, but it’s not particularly known for major events or exciting times. My hometown is big enough to have an industrial park, a mall, a community college and a world-class athletic centre, though. Believe it or not, we even have an airport. It’s tiny and it’s mostly for shipping freight from the warehouses and manufacturing places at the outskirts of town, but passenger flights do go in and out of there too. You have to literally walk across the tarmac and climb a gigantic set of movable stairs to board the plane, but still.
Okay, let’s see. What other random facts about me can I share?
My favourite colour is red. I like food, hanging out with my friends, playing video games, and taking way too many selfies which I shamelessly post on Instagram. Some people say I’m hyper and that I’m over the top, but I like to think of myself as energetic, enthusiastic and adventurous.
I love sports, particularly winter sports like snowboarding and skating. Especially snowboarding! Fortunately for me, I currently live in a mountain town in Japan, about half an hour outside Kyoto, where I can snowboard all year long. I’m really good at snowboarding, even if I say so myself. In fact, I do it competitively, and I’ve won medals. My friends say I’m a showoff, but I say if you’ve got a talent, why hide it?
Another thing I enjoy is travelling. I’ve always loved adventures, and I’ve been all over the world for snowboarding competitions, but I don’t think I realized before how much fun it is to travel for pleasure and for discovery rather than for a specific purpose like an international sporting event. Moving from my hometown in Canada all the way to Japan was so exciting that now I’ve decided I want to travel the world for fun. I think I was bitten by that particular bug the minute I stepped off the plane in Kyoto and into a brand new environment that I’d never seen before, with the knowledge that I had plenty of time ahead of me to relax and explore.
Oh, I guess you’ll want to know why I came to Japan in the first place, right? It wasn’t only for the snowboarding, and I’m more than happy to tell you all about it.
The real reason I’m here is to be with the love of my life, my soulmate and best friend, Yuri Okamoto. He’s beautiful, smart and brave, and he gets me like nobody else ever has.
Yuri and I met online, on a forum for snowboarding enthusiasts. I’d like to say there was an instant connection between us, but I think Yuri would deny that. It’s probably more appropriate to say I was instantly smitten when I was scrolling through a sub-forum where people posted about new equipment and saw a photo of him posing with his new board. He looked so cute, and I couldn’t resist posting a comment to express just that.
It took me a few minutes to figure out that straight-up commenting “You’re cute!” on a photo of a complete stranger might not have been the smartest or most appropriate move. So, in hopes of redeeming myself, I sent him a private message with a proper introduction. It took him a couple days to reply – he probably thought I was some weird stalker or something – but eventually he got back to me with an introduction of his own. We started chatting after that, and things evolved from there.
We met in November, a few weeks before my twenty-first birthday. Yuri had turned twenty a couple months earlier, in September. It’s hard to believe we’ve known each other for four and a half years already.
It wasn’t long until Yuri and I stopped chatting exclusively through private messages on the forum and moved our conversations to phone calls, texts and video chats instead. By February, we both knew that we were going to be more than friends.
Let me tell you, long-distance relationships are hard. Yuri and I wanted to be together in person, and as time went on, we felt the strain of being apart more and more. In the two and a half years between first meeting him and actually coming here to be with him, I finished college and got a job. I hoarded as much money as possible from my pay cheques and also from competition prize money, and I threw myself into learning Japanese so I’d be ready when the day eventually came.
Finally, when it felt as if neither of us could hold out any longer, I made up my mind to leave home. I gave up the lease on my flat, sold my car, my desktop computer, and my sad college student furniture, and packed the rest of my worldly possessions so I could make the voyage to be with my love. It was terrifying to leave everyone and everything I’d ever known, but it was absolutely the right choice. Being with Yuri makes it all worth it. Also, Matsumori Town is stunning, and have I mentioned the year-round snowboarding? Year-round snowboarding! But, anyway…
Yuri’s glad I’m here too, although I think he thinks I could’ve put more thought into planning my move. Yuri is more circumspect than me, which is a good thing because we balance each other. I can be a little impulsive sometimes, so having a partner who’s more cautious helps keep me from getting into too much trouble.
I’ve been here for about sixteen months now, and it’s amazing. I never want to leave. Not unless Yuri comes with me.
Our friends here tease us a lot about how close we are. We’re always together, not that either of us is complaining about that. Yuri works remotely about ninety percent of the time, and I don’t currently have a job other than teaching swimming lessons at the local pool, so unless I’m training up on the mountain or he’s in the city for some work thing, there’s no reason for us not to be together.
Another thing our friends seem to love teasing us about is our names. Apparently, we have the same names as the main characters from an anime series that’s very popular here in Japan. I've never seen it. Full disclosure, I usually can’t sit still long enough for television and even if I could, I'm not all that into anime.
Yuri says we kind of resemble those two anime characters as well, especially because the Yuri character has classic Japanese looks and the Victor character has white hair and blue eyes. My hair in real life is prematurely silver and I have blue eyes too.
I’m fine with taking Yuri’s word for the fact that we have some kind of resemblance to these anime guys, but I can assure you that we are our own unique, individual selves and any resemblance to animated fictional characters is purely coincidental.
All right! Now, on to the reason why I’m making this journal. Even though I’d be perfectly happy to go on for ages about my adorable Yuri, the real reason I’m doing this is to chronicle my travels, not just here in Japan, but in other parts of the world too.
My next voyage is going to be to the island of Kainani. I’ve been putting a bit of money aside ever since I got here, and now I have enough for a two-week trip, without seriously depleting the rest of my savings. As much as I love winter and the cool, fresh air of Matsumori, the idea of visiting a tropical paradise where it never snows truly fascinates me. I won’t get to do any snowboarding while I’m there, but I’ll bet there’ll be lots of water sports I can try. I’ve been looking at travel books about the island, and I’ve heard all the legends about the merfolk of Kainani. Not sure those are true, but maybe if I’m lucky, I’ll find out.
The only thing that worries me about going to a place where it never snows is what the weather might get up to in lieu of snowing. Like, maybe thunderstorms? I can’t stand thunderstorms. Camping on the beach is going to be awesome, but I’m not sure what I’ll do if there are any thunderstorms, especially if Yuri isn’t around to console me. He’s really good at that.
Maybe I can convince him to come along.
In any event, I guess I’ll figure everything out as I go. I know I have to do some planning, but I don’t like to organize my life too much. I like spontaneity. Yuri says I’m impetuous, but I prefer carefree.
Whatever happens, I’ll be sure to keep this journal updated so you can follow along with me on my adventures. See you soon!

Infrastructure you don’t see in MO that probably exists in Vykkers Labs 13:
- Freight elevators and internal tram systems, I doubt they just have the one loading bay, and with the ships’ comparatively horizontal floor plan there’s probably need for a system to move cargo from one side to the other with ease. These systems are likely similar to the trains we see in ground level factories, albeit smaller. Still strong and fast enough that workers get smashed all the time.
- Maintenance tunnels for electronics, ventilation, and pipes, and probably a pneumatic tube system as well because it would fit the aesthetic. And yeah they definitely use these tubes to transport fuzzles at horrifying speeds. And the recycling blades would have to dump their meat chunks somewhere. There’s probably a big tube that squeezes the refuse from the blades to the poop chute.
- CARD READERS. I’ve thought about this way too much. Essentially it doesn’t make sense for the biggest pharmaceutical company in Mudos to not have badges or another system to protect their research. Certain badges are valuable due to the accesses they grant and collecting accesses are a point of pride for some workers. Each employee has a badge, scientist or worker. Your accesses are indicated by symbols engraved on your badge. The more symbols you have, the more accesses, the more places you can go and things you can take without being questioned. So having a badge covered in symbols is a bragging right and shows that you are considered important. Furthermore, Vykkers are a pack of self serving backstabbers who will eagerly steal each others research, so it’s important for labs to keep their areas separate.
- A dedicated garage for repairing the trains, lifts, snoozers, everything else, with employees who know how to fix such things. Not a large staff but incredibly important. Interns with an aptitude for engineering may get assigned specialized training and wind up there, but there’s also a number of Mudokon scrubs whose strength and dexterity make them great mechanics. Could be one of the few situations on the ship where the two species are forced to cooperate, and without Vykker oversight as well. Vykkers think they’re above such “menial” labor and generally don’t go there. Plus they’re too frail.
- Cafeterias; nice ones for Vykkers, crappier ones for Interns and Scrubs. The Vykker ones have chefs and waitstaff. The Intern and Scrub ones just have hamster tube type things where you pull a lever and slop falls out. Largely maintained by Mudokons in both cases, but considering how Vykkers Labs has a Fine Foods Division, there could be some proud Vykker chefs in the Vykker cafeteria.
- Recreational facilities. For Vykkers it’s again probably nice and connected to the cafeteria. They have a gym that sees only moderate use, and meditation rooms they pretend to meditate in. For everyone else it’s like a hodge podge of random shit that was going to be thrown away that the Interns were able to save. Dilapidated bar games and crusty couches.
- Emergency response systems. Aside from the button we see get pushed in the bad ending to MO, used as an intruder alert, there are probably other systems in place for fires, chemical spills etc, with dedicated teams to contain incidents. And with the badge thing I mentioned, they probably have special Emergency Badges that can get them nearly anywhere.
- A guest wing. This is an entire area of the ship that is hard to access and is reserved for guests. It contains the auction house, the dissection theatres, guest suites, and the external docking bay for visiting air ships. The floor plan is largely devoid of stairs because Glukkons suck at those. The Vykkers are extremely selective in who they allow to work in this section. Performing well for guests is a major priority. Workers assigned to the guest wing tend to be the best behaved and least beat up looking. You won’t see any emancipated scrubs or interns with scrungly stitches here. Everything is designed to give the best possible impression of the labs down to each employee. There could even be a small amount of well behaved sligs to keep their Glukkons at ease. The Vykkers of course will provide tours of the rest of the facility to high class guests, but these are always coordinated in advance to ensure there’s no blood on the floors & the employees working look less suicidal.
- a safety inspectors office… because hahahahahhahahahahahhaha
- A MASSIVE freezer; a place wall to wall on frozen specimens, ironically nicknamed “the zoo” for its diversity of preserved critters. Bodies of all species in all shapes and sizes can be requested and thawed for experimentation and study. Old experiments of interest wind up here in case they are useful later.
- certain labs have entrances and exits equipped with caustic chemical cannons to disinfect employees; peels your dermis off the first few times but after a while you adapt. Or not
#anyway that’s all I have for now PLEASE add on if you feel compelled.#more to come I guarantee it. my brain has worms#Oddworld#headcanon#Vykkers labs#Munchs oddysee#Vykkers#interns

hi! if you're comfortable with sharing, i'm curious to know what shops that send lbs of fabric for the cost of shipping you were referring to in your contribution to the sustainable lifestyle post. or were these shops local to you? i'm getting into sewing and textiles to make clothes for myself and to give away to others and i feel this could be a very useful and affordable resource if you believe it possible to share!
A lot are local to me! Many small fabric shops will sell you their remnants in small quantities, sure, but many are also willing to simply sell you that scrap as a random assortment by weight! If they don't say so online, it never hurts to ask in person while you're checking their one-off remannt bins.
That said, more and more companies that have their own internal manufacture "remnant resale" process! So online shops like Quilt N Things, FabCycle, FabScrap, and MuuMuu Outlet will often carry "scrap by weight" purchase options in their shops! Your best bet is going to be finding where the local quilting community shops. These are people who are QUITE accustomed to purchasing fabric in wholesaler quantities with home-maker budgets, and they'll be able to direct you towards the best deals on this stuff.
I will say that it pays to learn how to identify fabrics when you do this, because random means random. I've received freight with scraps of brocade silk, embroidered and beaded fabric, raw muslin, pleather, oilcloth, wool, and so much more. You never know what might find its way into your box, and different fabrics do different things when incorporated into a garment. You can get more or less specific, but generally my biggest questions are always "is this an all-natural fabric or does it include polyester and other synthetic blends?" Because these I'm more likely to use outside as upholstry, garden fabric, or decor. That synthetic ingredient allows it to endure weather and moisture with less degredation, and makes it a worse option (for me due to medical issues) to use close to the skin, although it can be useful as an outer layer on raincoats and pants. Meanwhile, natural fibers like flax or cotton are extremely useful to me as lining fabric for garments, and fibers like wool are great for thermal regulation. My next question is usually about identifying the drape of a fabric, a mixture of understanding fiber content and weave and how that will look in the garment itself. Depending on what you're trying to do, you may have more questions you need to be able to answer, but it's all about your project needs.
Honestly, though, if you're an experimental sewer of any kind (e.g. a beginner still practicing stitching and construction techniques, or a tailor looking to drape a garment), these random assortments are a great way of always having enough fabric on hand that you don't mind sacrificing to the cause. I've found that one of the best ways to really get good at fiber craft is to lower the stakes of perceived failure. If I'm afraid to try something new, I try it on old moth eaten bedsheets I got for a dollar at the thrift shop, or on a 1000yd bundle of the cheapest imagineable yarn. Makes it easier to laugh off the cost of materials if it all goes lopsided. I'm able to get a lot more practice and test out a lot more approaches when it doesn't feel like an expensive waste of resources every time practice turns out....well. like practice!
Another really good option for you might be looking for free clothes being given away on Craigslist. These are most likely going to be mostly clothes not in shape for wearing, or they'd be sold or given to a thrift shop (although gems are always a possibility!). But given a good washing at the laundromat, they're a treasure trove of fabric scrap, and if there are any you like you can deconstruct them for patterning first before deconstructing for fabric purposes after! Voila, now you have 5-15lbs of fabric scrap and new patterns to boot, all for the cost of a laundromat and stock paper for pattern cutting.
Best of luck getting into your sewing! It's great fun, and when you start to get the hang of it, often you open up a whole world of possibilities you may bot otherwise have noticed!

I've recently started working on a Pikmin AU story. Not quite done with the first chapter but I figured it would be fun to post what I've got so far.
-
There’s something funny about how different characters will start the same story. No matter how far apart they live, no matter how they were raised, no matter what they’re doing at the start, eventually they will all spin into the same yarn.
For Olimar, the story begins with an unexpected banging against the hull of the S.S. Dolphin as it flies through deep space.
For Louie, the story begins when he’s called to the President’s office for an “imperative” mission.
A little over a month has passed since his coworker’s disappearance. At first he doesn’t realize anything’s wrong. Anyone who’s spent any time with Olimar knows how much the man loves his family; and while he loves his job, he often laments how it keeps him away from his wife and children. When he doesn’t come back from vacation on time, Louie just assumes the man had quit and moved on to better things. He wouldn’t have blamed him. The assumption explains why the President becomes more and more nervous in the following days. What it doesn’t explain is why Olimar’s wife keeps showing up at Hocotate Freight’s headquarters to yell at Louie’s boss.
His first thought is that maybe she was just that salty over how much her husband had been overworked these last few months.
Then he realizes the S.S. Dolphin isn’t where it’s usually stored. Olimar loved that ship, but he definitely wasn’t making enough money to buy it off of the company.
There’s whispers of a lawsuit.
Or worse, an internal investigation.
The company must have hooked her up with some really good insurance though, because she stops coming around after a few weeks. Everyone who didn’t quit during the chaos breathes a sigh of relief. It’s pretty easy to move on after that, they just have to work a little harder while the company hires new workers to replace what they’ve lost.
Not long after that, people start receiving The Transmission.
Yeah, capital “The,” capital “T.” It’s necessary.
Most people hear about it from, well, the news. Louie doesn’t watch the news, though. Instead, he gets called up to the President’s office.
“Louie, my boy, you remember Olimar, don’t you?” Louie nods. He’s never been the best at remembering faces, but he imagines he could pick Olimar out in a photo (as long as he was surrounded by people who looked nothing like Olimar. It had been almost two months since he’d last seen his coworker, after all). “I’m sure you’ve been worried sick ever since he disappeared, I know I have!” the President wipes a nonexistent tear from his eye. Louie tries to keep from rolling his.
“Anyway, some great news has just come in. Have you seen Space Broadcast Inc.’s latest report?” Louie shakes his head. The President picks up a remote and turns, switching on a large TV on the other side of the room. It flickers on to a news report narrated by a woman with a swoop of pink hair covering her face. “Looks like they’re showing it again,” the President chortles.
“Earlier today, several parties received a mysterious transmission from a previously undiscovered planet,” the pink haired woman reports from a spaceship launch site. “This transmission shook the stars when it was discovered that it was sent by a missing captain from Hocotate Freight.”
Louie’s stomach turns. It hasn’t escaped his notice that he’s the only person the President called. He doesn’t like where this is going.
The video of the pink haired woman changes to a split screen. One side shows Olimar’s work ID photo while the other side shows captions as the transmission plays.
“My name is Captain Olimar. I am a delivery pilot with Hocotate Freight. While traveling, I crash landed on an undetected planet. I have limited life support remaining and am unable to repair my ship. Please send help as soon as possible.”
This time, Louie can’t help but shiver at the voice that plays while his coworker’s face is on screen. The audio is crunchy, but he can tell that the speaker’s voice is a smooth baritone, like honey dripping off a spoon. It’s oddly calm given the situation that had been described.
There’s one thing he knows for certain.
That wasn’t Olimar’s voice.
The two of them hadn’t spent much time together in the month after Louie started working at Hocotate Freight, but what time they had worked together had often been filled with Olimar’s anecdotes or analyses. The man filled the silence wherever he went. At the time, Louie hadn’t minded. Olimar never expected him to respond verbally like most other people did. He wouldn’t have minded working with Olimar longer, really. But either way, Louie had heard enough of Olimar’s voice to recognize it even after all this time. The voice in the video was similar, sure, but it wasn’t nearly as expressive as the Captain’s. And there was something about the tone, something he couldn’t place, that didn’t settle right in his stomach.
Louie opens his mouth to say something, but the President has been talking this whole time and doesn’t notice Louie’s poor attempt to interrupt.
“-anyway I read the data logs he sent with the message and it looks like this mysterious planet is full of treasure! Enough to pull us out of debt and keep us out of the red for decades! So as soon as I heard other crews were heading to that planet I decided that I’d send you, one of my best workers, to find Olimar and track down that treasure!”
Louie leaves the office with a mission and a newfound sense of dread. He doesn’t have long before he’s expected to leave, and there’s no telling when he’ll be back. He needs to pack. He needs to call his grandmother.
What are you supposed to say to someone when you don’t know if you’ll come home alive?

Expanding into international markets offers immense growth opportunities for ecommerce businesses, but navigating the complexities of cross-border shipping requires strategic planning and effective execution. By partnering with a reliable custom clearance company and leveraging cost-effective ocean freight shipping, businesses can optimize their shipping strategies to offer the best international shipping for ecommerce. This article explores key strategies for unlocking international markets through efficient ecommerce shipping solutions.
Partnering with a Custom Clearance Company
A reputable custom clearance company plays a crucial role in facilitating smooth customs clearance processes for international shipments. These companies have expertise in navigating complex customs regulations and documentation requirements, ensuring that shipments comply with import/export regulations and avoid delays or penalties. By partnering with a reliable custom clearance company, ecommerce businesses can streamline their shipping processes, minimize risks, and deliver a seamless experience to customers worldwide.
Utilizing Cost-Effective Ocean Freight Shipping
For large-volume shipments or long-distance international deliveries, ocean freight shipping offers a cost-effective solution compared to air freight. Ocean freight services transport goods via cargo ships, offering lower shipping rates and accommodating bulky or heavy items that may not be feasible for air transportation. While ocean freight shipping may have longer transit times compared to air freight, businesses can optimize their supply chain by planning ahead and leveraging reliable ocean freight carriers to ensure timely delivery to international markets.
Offering the Best International Shipping for Ecommerce
To compete effectively in international markets, ecommerce businesses must offer the best international shipping for ecommerce to meet the diverse needs and expectations of customers. This includes providing a range of shipping options such as standard, expedited, and express services, as well as transparent pricing and delivery estimates. By partnering with shipping providers that offer competitive rates, reliable tracking, and efficient delivery networks, businesses can deliver a superior shipping experience that enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Optimizing Packaging and Fulfillment Processes
Efficient packaging and fulfillment processes are essential for maximizing cost savings and minimizing shipping risks in international ecommerce operations. Businesses should invest in robust packaging materials that protect goods during transit and comply with international shipping regulations. Additionally, optimizing fulfillment processes, such as order picking, packing, and labeling, can streamline operations and reduce fulfillment times, ensuring that orders are processed promptly and shipped to international destinations without delays.
Implementing Technology Solutions
Technology plays a vital role in optimizing ecommerce shipping strategies and enhancing visibility and control over international shipments. Ecommerce businesses can leverage shipping management platforms, order tracking systems, and inventory management software to automate processes, track shipments in real-time, and manage inventory levels effectively. By implementing technology solutions, businesses can improve operational efficiency, reduce shipping costs, and deliver a seamless shipping experience to customers worldwide.
Partnering with International Fulfillment Centers
International fulfillment centers offer ecommerce businesses a strategic advantage by providing localized warehousing and fulfillment services in key international markets. By storing inventory closer to customers, businesses can reduce shipping costs, expedite delivery times, and enhance the overall customer experience. Additionally, international fulfillment centers handle customs clearance and shipping logistics, relieving businesses of the complexities associated with cross-border shipping and allowing them to focus on growing their international sales.
Conclusion
In conclusion, unlocking international markets requires ecommerce businesses to adopt strategic shipping strategies that prioritize efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction. By partnering with a reputable custom clearance company, leveraging cost-effective ocean freight shipping, and offering the best international shipping for ecommerce, businesses can overcome logistical challenges and expand their reach into global markets. With optimized packaging and fulfillment processes, technology solutions, and partnerships with international fulfillment centers, businesses can capitalize on the opportunities presented by international ecommerce and drive sustainable growth and success.

Thanks to @oh-no-another-idea for the tag!
OC Questionnaire
Also, just mild TW, some of these are kinda dark. I'm not quite sure if any of it is enough to warrant a trigger warning but just to be on the safe side, this is here.
1. What's your most precious belonging
Adrian: My guns. See, my people believe that every weapon holds part of its creator's soul within it, even after death - it's our closest equivalent to an afterlife, believing that a part of you will have authority to decide whether to help or hinder whomever inherits your weapon. The dull one, emblazoned with all those names? That's mine. The other one that's covered in golden inlays and decorations, that one belonged to my mother.
Lyanni: My family's signet ring. I may not have a barony anymore, I may not even be a noble anymore - milla ajesh llan k'mllain Axidir - but I'll be damned if I forget where I come from and the lessons my father taught me.
Wilhelm: I have this necklace. A primitive thing, just an old cable with all kinds of random painted bits and bobs hanging from it. Some of the other clones made it for me, the younger ones, a kind of 'thank you' for always standing up for them. I kept it after... I remember each one's name, each one's dreams... and those fuckers will pay for what they did.
Evelyn: My ship, the ELS Divinatio Terrae... small thing, pretty much only fit for running freight between orbit and planetside and occasionally ferrying troops, but she's been by my side since the battle of Centuria and I'm about seventy percent sure she's gone sapient. If not, well, she does a damn good job of acting as though she likes me more than the other pilots they tried to put in here.
2. Ice cream or cake?
Adrian: Yes. No, seriously, anything that actually tastes like food would be very much appreciated at this point...
Lyanni: Cake's nice. I wouldn't go out of my way for it though. However, Ice cream is Hestavi's gift to this sunblasted continent. The humans don't seem to mind the heat, but I tell you: if your body can't control its own internal temperature, that stuff's sent by the gods.
Wilhelm: What... what are either of those words?
Evelyn: Ooh... tough call. Imma have to go with cake though, ice cream's not really much of a sharing dessert unless you do it Unionist style, and if we're being honest here, their's tastes like fresh, warmed over a-
3. What was the worst day of your life?
Adrian: August fifteenth, 2614. My mistakes led an enemy clan right to our claim. Hundreds of our people died. Most of my team, too, but we all knew the risks we ran by becoming enforcers. But I still remember it, clear as day: fighting beside my mother, picking off one clan Anata enforcer after another, when I caught a glint of a scope off to my right. I was too slow, I should've died right then and there, but instead she took the bullet for me. And for the first time in my life, I stopped fighting the monster in my head and let it do what it does best... I don't even remember what I did, hell I honestly don't want to know. What I do know is that it took a week for them to stop finding little Anatae pieces around the claim, and I never quite got the beast back into its hole after that.
Lyanni: The day they came. Humans, dressed in dark, insect-like armour. We'd had dealings with Adrian's people before, we knew them as cordial, even if they could never truly be allies, so my father invited them into Utraz city. The screams... the fires and senseless bloodshed... they still haunt my dreams, reminders of what I came this far to accomplish.
Wilhelm: I'm a clone who was tankgrown by a human supremacist group that saw me as 'defective'. Point to any day in the last seven years, and I can tell you exactly the kind of horrors I went through then. It only stopped after Lyanni showed me that things like me have souls, after Adrian showed me that we are not defined by the conditions of our birth.
Evelyn: Probably the day my father disowned me, pompous fucking Nova Caledon traditionalist pig... I don't know why it hurts so much to think about it. Despite the war, and the constant demons that come with having been in the Draugr program, despite all the shit I've been through, I've been happier every minute of the years since than the sum of all the happiness I ever felt under his roof, and yet that excommunication still hurts so much... you have no idea...
No pressure tag for @illarian-rambling @honeybewrites @thatoneterrariaplayers-vault @orion-lacroix and anybody else who wants in
Your questions:
1. Biggest regret?
2. What's an opinion you have that most people disagree with?
3. How do you deal with immense stress?
