Finding the Best Roofing Company in San Antonio
Research Local Companies
When it comes to maintaining your home's roof, it's crucial to find a reputable roofing company with a proven track record of excellence. Start by researching local companies online and reading reviews from past customers. Look for companies with extensive experience, positive testimonials, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Verify Credentials
Before hiring a roofing company, take the time to verify their credentials. Ensure that they are properly licensed, bonded, and insured to work in San Antonio. Additionally, look for certifications from reputable industry organizations, as this can be a sign of expertise and professionalism.
Request Estimates
Once you've narrowed down your options, reach out to several roofing companies and request estimates for your project. Be wary of any company that provides a quote without first inspecting your roof, as this could indicate a lack of thoroughness or transparency. Compare the estimates carefully, taking into account factors such as materials, labor, and warranties.
Ask About Warranties and Guarantees
A reputable roofing company should stand behind their work with a solid warranty or guarantee. Before making a decision, ask each company about the warranties they offer on both materials and labor. A comprehensive warranty will provide you with peace of mind knowing that your investment is protected against defects and issues.
Conclusion
Exploring San Antonio's attractions is an unforgettable experience, but it's essential not to neglect the upkeep of your home, particularly its roof. By following the tips outlined in this guide, you can enjoy all that the city has to offer while also ensuring that your home remains safe, secure, and well-maintained. Bart Chat 2/23/19 Greetings all,   We are very excited about DOCUFEST coming up October 3rd-6th at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas, but before we get to that, we have a program coming up this Saturday at The Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth.  As you may or may not know, they have a great Gordon Parks photo exhibit going on there. Most People know Gordon Parks from Shaft fame but he was also a great photographer and seeing the show is worth the trip.  We are teaming about with Amon Carter to show his earlier documentaries, Diary of a Harlem Family (1968, 20 minutes) and The World of Piri Thomas (1968, 60 minutes). Parks tells the story of the Fontenelle family. He was inspired to make this film after photographing the Fontenelles for a Life magazine photo essay on race and poverty in an attempt to show that, regardless of race and class, families across America all work to provide for their children. This a rare opportunity to see these films so please check them out. The World of Piri Thomas gives an unflinching view of the “mean streets” of Spanish Harlem as told by one of its most noted inhabitants. In this film, Thomas, who was a painter, poet, author, ex-con, and ex-junkie, shares his experiences and reads from his book, Down These Mean Streets.   Now back to DocuFest.  We live in, shall we say, unique times when questions about what is real and what is fake constantly permeate decision making. Should I click on that? Can you believe what he said? Can that be true? In these titles, DocuFest presents fresh oasis of media that ascribes to presenting reality and framing reality in a way to make us better citizens, to create awareness, and make us whole in a time when the news makes us feel empty, angry, less connected to the world and in the end, less human. Come to the Angelika Film Center Dallas and spend four days with us and you can rediscover joy, brilliance, tragedy and be moved by it all. This fest is more than just a series of movies, it is a way to reconnect with your sanity. (Did I oversell this?)    The first two nights, we have two theaters. Opening night, we start with a preview of Flannery, a new feature film about the great southern writer Flannery O’Connor.  This is a really great doc by a good friend, Elizabeth Coffman, whose work we have shown before, but this is her best film to date. If you ever read O’Connor’s work, this film tells her fascinating story in a style that works with her style.  At the same time, in another world in the next screening room, we have Now or Never: A Tony Romo Story.  We have seen him play, we have seen him talk, now see how he attained success with interviews of family and friends who knew him back in the day. Then our late shows on Thursday have A Woman’s Work, by Yu Gu, a documentary about NFL cheerleaders who are fighting for their rights.  It follows class action lawsuits and the women who have the courage to stand up to the NFL for their rights. Then we have a classic: When DA Pennebaker passed away, we wanted to show one of his films to honor his memory and what he meant to documentary film. We thought of The War Room (directed by Chris Hegedus) because we have an election coming soon and we thought about Don’t Look Back, which is the obvious choice and we don’t do that, so we went with Ziggy Stardust to remember both Pennebaker and Bowie.    Pretty cool for opening night.   On Friday night, we start with a new documentary about legendary choreographer Merce Cunningham, in 3D!!!!!!!  It’s hard to imagine modern dance without the influence of Cunningham and his lifelong collaborator and partner John Cage. In his film, the filmmaker assembles dancers from the Merce Cunningham dance company to perform the classic works, in a new way. Often 3D can be a trick or a gadget but here with an artist working with moving in space, 3D brings it alive. At the same time (sorry, on Thursday and Friday night you will have to make tough choices) we are proud to show Midnight Traveler, the story of filmmaker Hassan Fazili’, who had a bounty on his head from the Taliban and had to leave with his wife and their two daughters. In this film, shot with a mobile device, he documents the everyday moments of family life interspersed with the peril of this dangerous journey. This film helps put a voice to the people who are having to leave their countries, seeing, knowing and understanding their struggles.   The late-night Friday program is just as special. Varda by Agnes is a film that was on many best-of lists from Toronto. Agnes Varda has had a long and fascinating career as a filmmaker, and she gets to tell her story in this doc. (We have been happy to show her work for years, including the great Beaches of Agnes.)  In this film, we see her in many different audiences talking about her work. It is a great way to hear her talk about and view her work. It’s a must-see.   And finally, the last program is controversial (Can you believe we would do that?) It is American Dharma, Errol Morris’ film about Steve Bannon.  This played a few festivals last year and Errol got blasted for giving Bannon some oxygen.  Indeed, I was not keen on the idea of the film and then I saw it. Bannon does get to put this burn it all down point of view in the film, while Morris does call him on things, it is not as much as most audiences would like. However, as we get into this next election cycle, it is good to see what made Trump’s campaign successful, at least from one person's point of view. Also, I think it’s better to get into the heads of an opponent than to think you know them.   And the actual film is fascinating. Bannon is very much influenced by films, and he has made films of his own.  He talks about 12:00 High, a classic film about the Air Force, heroism and WW2. Morris recreates the main set of 12:00 High and the interview takes place in the set. It brings a strange unsettling context to their discussion, and I think it works. That’s just the first two nights and there is so much more, which I will detail in the next newsletter.    Speaking of immigrants, last night I got to see a special screening of Detras de Realidad which will show in Frame of Mind October 10th at 10:00 PM. This program is made by women about their own journey to Texas and what their life is like here. Frank, honest and in their own voices. I really liked what they did, but I was so happy to meet the makers who learned how to control the image and use the medium to tell everyone their stories. Thanks so much to Amber Bemak who taught then and Ignite Dallas at SMU for making it happen.   Speaking of Frame of Mind we have a great new show on Thursday night at 10 PM. Each year on the series, we feature a retrospective of a Texas filmmaker and usually, they are old folk. This year, we took a different approach.  Explordinary is Sarah Reyes and Daniel Driensky. They are great at straddling the world of digital and analog media, as well as film as art and commerce. They have traveled the globe documenting, in their unique way, artists, skaters, film labs and many other things. They put together their own retro and it rocks. 10:00 PM Thursday, Sept 26th.   What else is happening around town?   On Thursday, there is a special screening of the Princess Bride as a benefit for Hope Kids of North Texas.  Next weekend, there is the North Texas Film Festival in Plano.  There is the Alice Cooper film that played at DIFF and things like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Poltergeist, and Reanimator, so if you are into these and many are, not so much me, go for it. My favorite film they are showing is Mack Wrestles, a short I saw at SXSW about the Mack Beggs, a local athlete who goes through a sex change and still wants to wrestle. This is a must-see.   As for The Texas Theater, on Wednesday, they are showing a film that has been getting lots of buzz (I have not seen it, yet) called Anthropocene the Human Epoch. It is one of those national we are all showing the same film tonight, programs.  On Thursday, they are showing not one but two Les Blank films (I love Les Blank films) called Chulas Fronteras and Del Mero Corazón. These are newly restored, so they should look great. They are some of the first films that showcase Texican border music, including Flaco Jimenez and they sound great. Then they are showing the Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool film that was on PBS, made by the great Stanley Nelson. We have an interview with him about this film and the rest of his work on the podcast The Fog of Truth. Then Friday night, Theater Cine Wilde presents a film that is actually wild, Todd Haynes' Poison. A really great film that showcased his voice is his Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story.   On Tuesday night, The Magnolia Theater is showing Yentl, Barbara Streisand’s film about gender inequality in the Jewish religious community. Per the memorandum, Barr has “directed the Department [of Justice] and the FBI to lead an effort to refine our ability to identify, assess and engage potential mass shooters before they strike.” The Attorney General further described the coming initiative, slated to be implemented early next year, as “an efficient, effective and programmatic strategy to disrupt individuals who are mobilizing towards violence, by all lawful means.” More specific information about the program is set to follow the recent memorandum, according to Barr, though it is unclear if that forthcoming document will be made public.
Barr also requested that those who received the memorandum send their “best and brightest” to a training conference at FBI headquarters this coming December where the DOJ, FBI and “private sector partners” will prepare for the full implementation of the new policy and will also be able to provide “new ideas” for inclusion in the program.
Perhaps the most jarring aspect of the memorandum is Barr’s frank admission that many of the “early engagement” tactics that the new program would utilize were “born of the posture we adopted with respect to terrorist threats.” In other words, the foundation for many of the policies utilized following the post-9/11 “war on terror” are also the foundation for the “early engagement” tactics that Barr seeks to use to identify potential criminals as part of this new policy. Though those “war on terror” policies have largely targeted individuals abroad, Barr’s memorandum makes it clear that some of those same controversial tactics will soon be used domestically.
Barr’s memorandum also alludes to current practices by the FBI and DOJ that will shape the new plan. Though more specifics of the new policy will be provided in the forthcoming notice, Barr notes that “newly developed tactics” used by the Joint Terrorist Task Forces “include the use of clinical psychologists, threat assessment professionals, intervention teams and community groups” to detect risk and suggests that the new “early engagement program” will work along similar lines. Barr also alludes to this “community” approach in a separate instance, when he writes that “when the public ‘says something’ to alert us to a potential threat, we must do something.”
However, the memorandum differentiates suspected terrorists from the individuals this new program is set to pursue. Barr states that, unlike many historical terrorism cases, “many of today’s public safety threats appear abruptly and with sometimes only ambiguous indications of intent” and that many of these individuals “exhibit symptoms of mental illness and/or have substance abuse problems.”
Thus, the goal of the program is ostensibly to circumvent these issues by finding new and likely controversial ways to determine intent. As will be shown later in this report, Barr’s recent actions suggest that the way this will be accomplished is through increased mass surveillance of everyday Americans and the use of algorithms to analyze that bulk data for vaguely defined symptoms of “mental illness.”
Barr also suggested the likely courses of action that would follow the identification of a given individual as a “potential mass shooter.” The Attorney General notes that in past cases individuals deemed a violent or terroristic threat before they commit a crime are subject to “detention, court-ordered mental health treatment, substance abuse counseling, electronic monitoring”, among other measures. Ostensibly, the new program would then apply these same practices to individuals in the U.S. that federal authorities believe are “mobilizing towards violence,” as Barr put it.
Bill Barr’s been busy
The memorandum, despite heralding a new era of Orwellian surveillance and “pre-crime” on a national level, has been sparsely covered by the mainstream media. One of the few reports that did cover the new Justice Department policy, published Wednesday by the Huffington Post, framed the new Barr-led initiative as largely positive and asserted that the “anti-terror tactics” to which Barr alluded could “help thwart mass shooters.” No mention was made in the piece of the threat such a program is likely to pose to civil liberties.
Furthermore, no mention was made of Barr’s clear push over the past few months to lay the groundwork for this recently announced program. Indeed, since becoming Attorney General under President Trump, Barr has spearheaded numerous efforts to this end, including pushing for a government backdoor into consumer apps or devices that utilize encryption and for a dramatic increase of long-standing yet controversial warrantless electronic surveillance programs.
On July 23rd, Barr gave the keynote address at the 2019 International Conference on Cyber Security (ICCS) and mainly focused on the need for consumer electronic products and applications that use encryption to offer a “backdoor” for the government, specifically law enforcement, in order to obtain access to encrypted communications as a matter of public safety.
Barr went onto say that “warrant-proof encryption is also seriously impairing our ability to monitor and combat domestic and foreign terrorists.” Barr stated that “smaller terrorist groups and ‘lone wolf’ actors” — such as those involved in the series of mass shootings in California, Texas and Ohio that occurred in the weeks after his speech — “have turned increasingly to encryption.” Barr later noted that he was specifically referencing encryption used by “consumer products and services such as messaging, smartphones, email, and voice and data applications.”

To overcome the resistance by some private companies — who do not want to renege on their right to privacy by giving the government backdoor access to their devices — and American consumers, Barr tellingly anticipated “a major incident may occur at any time that will galvanize public opinion on these issues.” Shortly after this speech, several mass shootings, including one at an El Paso Walmart took place, which again brought the issue to the forefront of political discourse.
As MintPress reported at the time, Barr’s uncanny prediction and a litany of other oddities related to the El Paso shooting left many answered questions about the FBI’s foreknowledge of the event. In addition, the tragedy did appear to serve as the very “galvanizing” event that Barr had anticipated, as the solution offered by President Trump in the wake of the shootings was the creation of a government backdoor into encryption as well as calling for the very pre-crime system Barr formally announced just last week.
The pre-crime dragnet takes shape
More recently, Barr and U.K. Home Secretary Priti Patel signed a data access agreement on October 3rd that allows both countries to demand electronic data on consumers from tech companies based in the other country without legal restrictions. It is the first executive agreement reached as part of the controversial Clarifying Overseas Use of Data Act or CLOUD Act passed by the U.S. Congress last year.
The CLOUD Act has come under fire from rights groups who have warned that the legislation gives “unlimited jurisdiction to U.S. law enforcement over any data controlled by a service provider, regardless of where the data is stored and who created it” and that this also “applies to content, metadata, and subscriber information”, including private messages.
Yet, Barr and Patel claimed that the data access agreement will instead “enhance” civil liberties and further asserted that the agreement would be used to go after “pedophiles” and “organized crime”, even though both Barr and his U.K. equivalent have shown minimal interest in pursuing the co-conspirators of child sex trafficker and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, whose sex trafficking network has been linked to both organized crime and the intelligence agencies of both the U.S. and Israel. Some have charged that the lack of interest on the part of William Barr is due to the fact that Barr’s father once hired the now deceased pedophile.
Notably, Jeffrey Epstein also had an apparent interest in pre-crime technologies, and was a key funder of the controversial technology company Carbyne911, along with former Israeli Prime Minister and close Epstein associate Ehud Barak. Carbyne911 is one of several Israeli companies that market their software products to the U.S. as a means of reducing mass shootings and improving the response times of emergency service providers. These companies boast numerous and troubling connections to the governments and intelligence communities of both the U.S. and Israel. Epstein, himself linked to the intelligence apparatuses of both nations, invested at least $1 million in Carbyne911 through a “data mining” company he controlled.
As was detailed in a recent MintPress exposé on these companies, Carbyne911 and similar companies extract any and all data from consumer smartphones for merely making emergency calls and then use it to “analyze the past and present behavior of their callers, react accordingly, and in time predict future patterns,” with the ultimate goal of smart devices making emergency calls to the authorities, as opposed to human beings.
Data obtained from these software products, already used by several U.S. counties and slated to be adopted nationwide as part of a new national “next generation” 911 system, will then be shared with the same law enforcement agencies who will soon be implementing Barr’s “national disruption and early engagement program” to target individuals flagged as potentially violent based on vague criteria.
Notably, following the El Paso shooting, President Trump has been mulling the creation of a new federal agency known as HARPA that would work with the Department of Justice to use “breakthrough technologies with high specificity and sensitivity for early diagnosis of neuropsychiatric violence,” specifically “advanced analytical tools based on artificial intelligence and machine learning.” The data to be analyzed would be harvested from consumer electronic devices as well as information provided by health-care providers to identify who may be a threat.
It is important to point out that such initiatives, whether HARPA or Barr’s newly announced program, are likely to define “mental illness” to include some political beliefs, given that the FBI recently stated in an internal memo that “conspiracy theories” were motivating some domestic terror threats and a series of questionable academic studies have sought to link “conspiracy theorists” to mental illnesses. Thus, the Department of Justice and “mental health professionals” have essentially already defined those who express disbelief in official government narratives as both a terror threat and mentally ill — and thus worthy of special attention from pre-crime programs.
Sleepwalking into a nightmare
This widely overlooked background is crucial to understanding William Barr’s recent memorandum and the massive and greatly underreported shift in the policy it heralds. Over a period of several months, Barr — aided by “private sector partners” as well as other current and former government officials — has been laying the groundwork for the system he has now formally announced.
Through the software products offered by companies like Carbyne911 and through Barr’s personal crusade to mandate government backdoors into encrypted software and products, Barr’s new pre-crime program already has the tools for the mass extraction and storage of consumer data by means of both private tech companies and public services like emergency call centers.
Through the already drafted plan for HARPA and its proposed solution to identifying “mental illness” via artificial intelligence and machine learning, this newly announced “pre-crime” program will have the means to analyze the mass of data harvested from consumer electronic devices from Carbyne and other means using vague “mental health criteria.”
While many of the specifics of the program remain unknown, the actions of Barr and others in government and private sectors show that this newly announced initiative is the product of years of careful planning and many of the tactics and tools it is poised to use have been in the works for months and even years.
In recent decades, and especially after the September 11 attacks, Americans have quietly traded an increasing number of civil liberties for increased government “counter-terrorism” programs and wars purportedly waged to “keep us safe.” Now, those same policies used to target “terrorists” are set to be used against ordinary Americans, whose electronic lives and communications are now set to be scoured for evidence of “mental illness.” If these untransparent algorithms flag an individual, that could be enough lead to court-ordered “mental health treatment” or even imprisonment regardless of whether or not a crime was committed or even planned.
As a consequence, William Barr’s coming “pre-crime” program is arguably worse than the stuff of dystopian science fiction novels and films as it not only aims to detain Americans who have committed no crime but will expressly target individuals based on their use of electronic consumer products and the contents of their communications with their friends, family, co-workers, and others.

Understanding Mineral Rights
Contemplating the state of the mineral rights market right now there has never been a better time to promote mineral rights. The systems which were established over time have made the entire course of one that's simpler to finish. Geology companies are booming and the search for new resources is increasing daily. Though it is now a straightforward process, it was not all the time this fashion, time has taken its toll on the trade and guidelines are stricter than before.
The rights to the minerals contained inside a landowners land where not at all times theirs to say. In historical past governments of latest colonies have usually tried to retain the rights to minerals on the land to someway reclaim some costs of the wars that were ragged to gain the territory in the first place. Nowadays it has turn into more common to have the rights to minerals transferred to the purchaser of the land, although it ought to be famous that if the mineral rights have been sold previously by the landowner, the purchaser will have no right to them.
Texas is an ideal instance of this, when independence was first established within the 1800s the brand new authorities retained the rights to the salt in the land. On the time this was a valuable useful resource and as such was mined to oil and gas investment try to recoup prices of organising new territories. Over time these rights got again to the land owner because the Texas government reverted again to English land legal guidelines and all of the landowners rights that came with that.
Tumblr media
Over time legal guidelines were passed to permit the sale of floor land with out the suitable to the minerals contained underneath. So if you're a landowner it will be good to ask: do I personal mineral rights? You could possibly be sitting on capital you never knew you had. The current market has only helped enhance the rights of landowners with regards to mineral rights and the options available to those who have one thing to promote are set out so that everyone can stand to make beneficial properties.
Although it may be one thing you have never thought-about earlier than, the land you are standing on may very well be price greater than a easy surface worth. Do a little analysis and find out about your local area, if the land around you incorporates minerals that are value promoting, you possibly can safely assume that yours must also be price investigating additional.
If you end up within the place of being a land owner and are questioning whether or not to sell mineral rights on your property, there are just a few issues you must make earlier than deciding. The entire situation of mineral rights is one that has been delivered to the forefront of consciousness currently by news firms worldwide. New geological analysis corporations are showing everywhere and this alone may very well be adequate reason to promote whereas the going is good, you might never get the identical prices on your minerals as you'd now.
Promoting mineral rights as a course of, is definitely a simple one to understand. It comes right down to firms exhibiting curiosity in drilling or mining in your land, then making a proposal to buy the mineral rights. Remember they won't be buying the land from you, solely the ownership of the minerals beneath it. Typically you too can choose to promote only a portion of your minerals.
You probably have had an evaluation finished on the minerals contained in your land and have discovered minerals of worth, you might opt to only sell say, 80%. This might provide you with a royalty test for the opposite 20% any time the company makes cash, though you need to be warned that these checks will only get smaller as time goes on and may take years to begin paying out. It is part of the gamble you take with mineral rights, however it does add to the explanations to promote.
To finish off, when you have a money provide sitting on your table proper now, it may be smart to signal it. There is no better time than now to sell mineral pursuits as we're at a peak in the business. Negotiations should not one thing drilling firms will usually enter into, particularly when you personal a comparatively small interest and as such are finest averted. Take the chance that is in front of you, gambling on your price is something that hardly ever pays out.
Tumblr media
Folks typically marvel how they can sell mineral rights or oil & gas royalties, the method is just than one would assume. If you are at present receiving a royalty test, and you choose to sell your royalty, you possibly can anticipate to obtain a proposal for 20 - 75 months worth of checks.
I don't obtain a test, can I still sell my minerals? Absolutely, depending on the situation of your minerals, and any projected drilling of the world, you'll be able to receive anyplace from a whole lot to hundreds of dollars per acre. Many firms will even offer you a free evaluation, this lets you get a number of affords and choose one of the best one.
If you promote your mineral rights, you are not selling your land, only the minerals beneath it. In addition to this you'll be able to simply sell solely www.pheasantenergy.com/ a portion of your minerals. For example you could promote 75% of your minerals and keep a 25% curiosity in future drilling (if there's even oil!).
Two things can occur in case you choose to carry on to your minerals, and each can cause a number of issues for mineral homeowners. It is doable that your land might be drilled and you'll start to receive a royalty examine, finally the checks will Pheasant Energy stop coming, and almost definitely they'll decline month-to-month. Secondly, shall we say you receive a proposal to sell your property for $500,000, you suppose properly if they're offering $500,000 it must be value more, this can be a mistake.
After you refuse the oil corporations offer they purchase your neighbor's land, begin drilling, and discover that read our Blog Here they highly overestimated the amount of minerals in the space, this can render your land almost worthless.
Firms that purchase mineral rights, and oil & gasoline royalties are enjoying a high risk sport. They could make their a refund after a few years, after ten years, or never. These firms are basically betting on elevated production, which is rare.
The last thing to consider when selling mineral rights and oil & fuel royalties, is the potential issues with maintenance. You can be paying property taxes, worrying about varied revenue, and coping with numerous firms regularly.

Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4
“If you don’t calm yo ass down, sir.”
Bryson is tired of watching Chi run around like a chicken with its head cut off. He’d been running around for the past hour, nervous energy falling behind him as he went. This was the most nervous he’d ever been. “Nigga, you making me nervous.. Chill out bro.”
“I can’t! First dates mean something, right? What if I fuck something up?”
“You’ll be fine, you’re overthinking this shit.” Bryson looks up at Chiron who is almost frantically looking through the shirts in his closet.
“Just go with the green one.”
Chi takes the shirt in question out of the closet and holds it to his chest, “This one?”
“Yeah. I heard it was gon be cooler today so long sleeves is a better option.” Bryson points while eating some Cheez Its. Chi nods as he puts the green shirt on the bed along with pants he has laid out.
Chi claps his hands once rubbing them together, “Alright, now help me pick out shoes.”
Bryson throws his hands up in exasperation, “C’mon. Nigga. Seriously?”
Chi gives him a look that has Bryson blowing out an agitated breath. He gets up to help his friend search for the perfect pair of shoes.
“Go with the white ones,” He says as he picks up a shoe box, “you haven’t even worn these. They still in the box.” Bryson gives the box to Chi and turns around to leave, he stops at the door. “You need me for anything else nigga?”
“Yeah, actually—”
“Don’t care,” Bryson waves Chiron off as he walks out of the room not looking back.
Chi rolls his eyes at his best friend and goes to shower and freshen up.
Once Chiron is done with his shower, he takes a deep breath. Stepping out and drying himself off he grabs the lotion and moisturizing his body. In his room he looks at the outfit one more time before putting it on.
He goes into the living room to find Bryson. Stepping in front of the tv he holds his arms out at either side of his body.
“So….how do I look?”
Bryson has a pensive look on his face and motions for Chi to give a turn with a twirl of his index finger. Chi spins around slowly as Bryson inspects his outfit, nodding in approval. “Calm down Chiron. You look good, you’re going to be fine when you see him,” Bryson sits back down on the couch and signals for Chi to move from in front of the tv. “What time did he say he was coming to pick you up?”
“He said 12.”
Bryson wipes his hands and checks his phone, “It’s 11:30. He should be here soon, you got everything?” Chi checks his pockets for his keys, his phone, and wallet.
“Yeah I got everything.”
“Then sit down and chill out nigga.” Bryson offers him the box of Cheez Its from Chi’s snack cabinet.
“You always eating my snacks like you live here.” Chi pushes the box away from him.
“Look, you asked me to come over and help yo hyperactive ass, so I’m here.”
Chiron sits down on the couch with Bryson trying to stay calm as he waits for Erik. He mentally goes through everything he needs and his eyes widen. He did forget something. He gets up and makes his way to his bedroom, attempting to calm his nerves in the process.
Getting to his room, he immediately searches his dresser for the forgotten items.  He can’t believe he’d almost forgotten the two things he never leaves the house without. He lets out a breath that he didn’t know he was holding as he put his chain and watch on. In an attempt to release his nerves he runs his hands down his face and takes a slow breath.
“Yo! Chi!” Bryson snaps him out of his brief feeling of relief.
“What?” He answers, making his way down the hall and into the living room freezing like an antelope in headlights when he sees Erik standing in his entryway on his phone.
Erik looks up and smiles at Chi, putting his phone in his pocket.
“I texted you.” Chi digs his phone out of his pocket to look at it and sure enough he’d gotten a text five minutes ago letting him know that Erik is on his way.
“Oh,” Chi whispers softly. “My bad,” he says with an apologetic smile and a shrug.
There goes that smile. Erik thinks.
“Nah, you’re good.” Erik replies with a smile as his eyes scan Chi’s frame.
Damn, he looks good.
Erik nods liking what he sees as Chi stands there awkwardly. Both gazing at each other in timid excitement. It feels like hours before Bryson speaks, his voice cutting through the silence and tension.
Bryson side eyes them as he asks, “Y’all niggas leavin’ soon, or…?”
The two men snap out of their haze. Chiron gives his best friend an annoyed look that says “Nigga, if you don’t shut the hell up”.
“Y’all just gon stand there? Don’t you two have mummies to go see and shit?” Bryson asks, wondering why the two men are still standing in the living room.
“Y-yeah, come on let’s get out of here, I already got our tickets.” Erik steps to the side to allow Chi to lead the way out of his apartment. He follows close behind as they quickly walk to the car, attempting to leave the embarrassment of being caught behind them.
Erik walks around to the passenger side of his blacked out Acura Nsx, and opens the door for a surprised Chi. He waits until Chi is seated, shooting him a grin, before going around to the driver’s side.
Chiron looks at the luxury car in confusion, wondering how a college student is able to afford something this expensive. He pushes his curiosity down not wanting to assume or ask too many questions. He figures if Erik wants him to know he’ll tell him in his own time.
Erik turns his music up, connecting his phone to the bluetooth and chooses a playlist before pulling out of the parking lot. Cartoons and Cereal by Kendrick Lamar and Gunplay fills the air and Erik smiles, putting the car in reverse to leave Chi’s apartment.
Chi nods his head to the beat, rapping the lyrics under his breath. Erik notices and smirks. “You fuck wit Kendrick?”
Chi shrugs and gives him a small smile, “Yeah, he aite.”
Erik snaps his head to Chi a look of disbelief on his face. “Aite?! Kendrick is the goat nigga the fuck you mean?” Erik turns the music down as Gunplay’s verse comes on.
Chi slightly smiles at Erik’s excitement. “He cool, I guess.”
“Cool you guess.” Erik mocks Chiron under his breath with a shake of his head. He couldn’t believe it. “Okay, if Kendrick is ‘cool you guess’ then who you got on repeat these days?”
Chi ponders for a second, looking up towards the roof of the car. “Mostly niggas from the south. Lil Wayne..Outkast...Gucci….Three 6 Mafia.” Erik nods in approval, impressed with his taste in music.
“Word? You rock wit Outkast?”
“Yeah, they cool.”
“Alright I see you. Let me find out little Chiron know something about rap.”
“Man chill out, you don’t know what I know.” Chiron chuckles.
“Shit, I’m tryna find out if you let me.”
The two men share a heated look and Chiron holds his hand out for the aux cord. Erik smiles as he hands it to Chiron.
He connects his phone, going to his music library and choosing one of his personal favorite Outkast songs, Da Art of Story Tellin’ Pt. 2.
“Now THIS shit? Fire!” Chiron says with a bright grin on his face. Erik looks at Chi while he’s in his own world. His eyes crinkle at the sight of Chi letting loose for the first time around him.
Erik reaches over to turn the music down just a little bit which causes Chi to look over at him. “What made you like southern rap so much?”
“I’m from Atlanta, this is gospel at home.”
“Word?” Chi nods and turns the music up again. The two go back and forth exchanging anecdotes about their favorite songs and comparing their music tastes. The fifteen minute ride to the museum flies by as they enjoy each other’s company, getting lost in conversation.
Erik turns the car into the parking lot of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, a place Chi had earlier admitted he hadn’t yet been to.
They park then show their proof of tickets and as soon as they walk in Erik makes a beeline to King Tutankhamen, Chi following closely behind.
Chi is amused as he follows Erik past the other exhibits and asks, “Yo, what’s your fascination with this stuff?”
Erik’s eyes light up, his dimples deepening. “Ancient Egypt is one of the most advanced civilizations to this day. Their methods were way ahead of their time.”
They come to a pair of solid gold sandals with individual toe shaped tips all gilded as well. Chi looks at them pensively with a scrunched up nose.
“The fuck are these for? Niggas was wearing grills on they feet back in the day?”
Erik throws his head back in laughter his own gold slugs on his bottom incisors catching the light, the vein in his neck making itself known. Chiron tracks his movements, taking notes. He momentarily forgets what he’d said to make him laugh like that and wonders how he could get him to do it again.
“Nah, they’re toe guards. They were put on the fingers too. It was a way to protect those parts of the body after mummification. The Egyptians believed that after death you would find your body again before actually crossing over so they developed a preservation process to keep it recognizable to your spirit.”
Erik’s voice fades into the background and Chi bites his bottom lip. His eyes focus on the way Erik’s lips form around certain words. He briefly wonders how said lips would feel against his own. His mind drifts to the wishful moment and he misses it when Erik stops talking.
Erik smiles slyly when he notices the faraway look on Chi’s face. He waves his hand and laughs when Chi blinks out of his trance. “You good?”
Chi looks at Erik and for a brief moment time stops. Unspoken words fall between them as they gaze at each other.
The moment leaves as quickly as it comes. Chi clears his throat and looks to the side. “Yeah. I-I’m good. What’s next?”
They walk side by side looking at the different displays. Both of them paying more attention to each other than the exhibits. They stand close together at each stop, arms brushing against one another, sending chills down their spines. They reach the end and Erik turns to Chi.
“You down to go eat? Or I can take you home...” his voice trails off as he looks at Chi in question.
“Yea I could eat.” Chi answers.
“You sure? We could look around some more…”
“Nah I’m good. I was mostly paying attention to you anyways.”
Chi stops himself short, not believing he let that leave his mouth. It wasn’t a lie though and it’s too late to take it back now.
Erik smirks and gives Chi a heated look.  “Good to know.”
Walking out of the diner Erik and Chi feel light on their feet. The conversation at lunch flowed easy, both men letting their guards down and slightly opening up for the first time.
On their way back to the car they continue their conversation about school. Erik talks  about his love of computers, math, and science, but mentions his actual desire to do something involving international affairs.
Chi reveals his goal of becoming a substance abuse therapist and his want to help people struggling with addictions. He also wanted to find a way to offer support to the families of those fighting addiction.
“What made you choose that field to go into?” Erik turns to Chi and he shrugs.
“I’ve seen how that shit can affect people and others around them in my home city. I want to help people in that position have a second chance to live without an addiction.”
Chiron half answers the question his body tenses at the memories, not wanting to go into detail of his childhood. He knew first hand how damaging addiction can be.
Erik stops walking and turns toward Chi.
“You okay?” He asks, trying to figure out what made Chi freeze up.
“Nah I’m fine.”
Erik doesn’t believe him but decides not to push the issue. He turns to start walking again, gently grabbing Chi’s hand, linking them with his.
Chi looks down at their joined hands his shoulders immediately tensing up not sure how to process what was happening.
Erik can feel Chi tense up.
In an effort to ease the tension Erik brings up Chi’s hand and kisses the back of it gently. Chi watches as Erik brings up his hand and kisses the back of it gently as they continue the walk to the car.
~
The following Monday, Chi finds himself walking through the building that houses his psychology classes. As he’s about to put his earbuds in, he overhears a feminine voice speaking loud as hell.
Kayla had been posted up outside of Chi’s classroom for 10 minutes before finally spotting him walking out. She sets her plan in motion as soon as he’s within earshot, raising her voice and fast forwarding to the part of the story she wants him to hear.
“Yeah, girl, that nigga Erik is a dog.”
Chi perks up at Erik’s name and slows down to a stop, pretending to read a flyer nearby.
“That nigga is one of the biggest hoes on campus, you can’t trust these football niggas. Walkin around here like they’re Gods gift to earth,” Chi raises his eyebrow in confusion. She can’t be talkin about my Erik. Can she?
“Y’all were cute, too. That nigga don’t deserve you, sis.” Her line sister eggs Kayla on.
“He’s never interested in a relationship, that nigga always wants to fuck and my dumbass fell for it for a minute.” Kayla adjusts her pink and green line jacket as she rolls her eyes.
Kayla gives one last look to make sure Chiron was listening before she leads her friends away.
Chi is left there dumbfounded. How could he have been so wrong about Erik? Sure, he was confident bordering on cocky, but he never pegged him as the player type.
Chi shook his head and turned to walk out of the building. Is he using me for just a quick fuck, is that all he sees me as?
The whole walk back to his apartment, Chi couldn’t get his mind off of what Kayla had said. He didn’t want to believe her, but a guy like Erik actually wanting him, seemed too good to be true.
Once he gets home he puts his phone on silent and spends the rest of his day wallowing around his apartment. He goes over every moment he’d spent with Erik, reassessing his tone and body language. Was it just lust? Chi wasn’t sure but he needed some time to find out.
Slinging his track bag over his shoulder he makes his way towards the door. Taking his phone out of his pocket he sees a text from Erik.  He pauses in the doorway and stares at the name before sliding the phone back in his pocket and leaving.

Mel Feller MPA, MHR, Looks at Customer Truths in Business
Mel Feller MPA, MHR, Looks at Customer Truths in Business
Tumblr media
Mel is the President/Founder of Mel Feller Seminars with Coaching for Success 360, Inc. and Mel Feller MPA, MHR, Coaching.  Mel Feller a Texas- Utah Innovator and Business Leader.  Mel Fell has offices in Texas and in Utah.  Currently an MBA Candidate.
The truth, which I stumbled across by researching mine own and my competitors businesses, is that customers are not demonstrating loyal behavior when they buy the same products repeatedly. People are returning to a product because the buying process is simple and automatic, and they have not yet encountered a reason not to purchase it.
Therefore, if its good experiences that keep customers “dedicated” and bad experiences that push them away.  Then what you define and say about your product or service matters, but not more than the involvement, it delivers. Then once you get your foot in the door, the rest is about keeping that door open for repeat customers.
Here is a staggering statistic according to a study by Deloitte, 89% of customers in the United States and the European Union stated that customers make decisions based on their customer experience ahead of both price and product.
Therefore, it is not just about promising the lowest prices or extravagant features, or even saying and doing absolutely anything to sell the product or the service.  It is not even about convincing existing customers to keep purchasing your product or service repeatedly. The bottom line is that we know that they already want to do this.   Thus, it is about educating your marketing message in reality, trusting your product and delivering the strict customer experience your customers expect.
The bottom line is that customers always need more, and at the best possible price. Customers want these things, but, most notability, not at the expense of a great experience.
Therefore, if any part of your experience fails to meet the customer’s expectations you set up for your customers in any of the sales process, they will view it as a poor experience. Breaking any, part of a promise, even one small expectation, is still breaking a promise in their mind. Moreover, broken promises never make customers happy.
Moreover, People seek a wide array of benefits when they are in a buying mindset. If you are communicating any one of those benefits to the people who want them this very instant, you have virtually made the sale. People do not buy because marketing is clever, but because marketing strikes a responsive chord in the mind of the prospect, and its resonance makes that person want the advantages of what you are selling.
Your customers do not buy because they are being marketed or sold. Instead, they buy because you help them realize the merits of owning what you offer.
Every educated entrepreneur or business owner knows this. Nevertheless, the truth is that people do not always buy benefits. They buy a whole lot more:
They buy promises you make. So make them with care.
They buy the promises they want personally fulfilled.
They buy your credibility or do not buy if you lack it.
They buy solutions to their problems.
They buy you, your employees, and your service department.
They buy wealth, safety, success, security, love and acceptance.
They buy your guarantee, reputation and good name.
They buy other people's opinions of your business.
They buy expectations based upon your marketing.
They buy believable claims, not simply honest claims.
They buy hope for their own and their company's future.
They buy brand names over strange names.
They buy the consistency they have seen you exhibit.
They buy the stature of the media in which you market.
They buy the professionalism of your marketing materials.
They buy value, which is not the same as price.
They buy selection and often the best of your selection.
They buy freedom from risk, granted by your warranty.
They buy acceptance by others of your goods or services.
They buy certainty.
They buy convenience in buying, paying and lots more.
They buy respect for their own ideas and personality.
They buy your identity as conveyed by your marketing.
They buy style -- just the kind that fits their own style.
They buy neatness and assume that is how you do business.
They buy easy access to information about you, offered by your website.
They buy honesty for one dishonest word means no sale.
They buy comfort, offerings that fit their comfort zone.
They buy success; your success can fit with theirs.
They buy good taste and know it from bad taste.
They buy instant gratification and do not love to wait.
They buy the confidence you display in your own business.
It's also important to know what customers do not buy: fancy adjectives, exaggerated claims, clever headlines, special effects, marketing that screams, marketing that even hints at amateurishness, the lowest price anything, unproven items, or dazzling graphics that get in the way of the message.
They also do not buy humor that hides benefits, offerings signaled by unreadable type, poor grammar or misspelled words, salespeople who do not listen, or things they do not fully understand or trust.
Therefore, the best-proven marketing of all involves prospects and informs customers. It builds confidence and invites a purchase. Best and unique of all people get it!   That is why knowing the truth about them will help you to stand apart from your competitors and shine in the minds of your prospects and customers.

Bad Artist Keith & Rich Shiro AU
Guys, I worked on something for a few days and I'd like to present this concept to you:
• Keith and Shiro meet in college. Shiro is studying IT in his last semester, Keith is studying art in his first semester. In the figure drawing class Shiro often acts as a model and so this semester he does too. He is immediately drawn to the red faced boy with the big eyes and watches him during the session. Keith is just really flustered the whole time, being faced with a naked adonis. He is still very pleased with his drawing though. Very pleased. But in reality it is very very bad. It seems Keith doesn't know anything about anatomy, the proportions are all incorrect and Shiro's dick... just... looks wrong.
• After class Shiro goes over to Keith and asks him to get coffee with him. Keith has already packed his stuff so Shiro doesn't see the drawing of himself until much later and that is probably for the better. The two would most likely not be a couple if he had seen it before.
• In the café Keith talks very excitedly about his life and art. He had first wanted to study music and then modern dance but soon realised both weren't for him. Later Shiro heard he actually hadn't gotten in because he lacked rhythm and basic knowledge of how to read music and the basic dance steps. Shiro is endlessly charmed by Keith's enthusiasm and his sparkling eyes. Keith further tells him he needs to do something creative, all the other jobs in the world would be too dry and make him bitter like everyone else. Shiro tells him he studies IT and Keith is horribly embarrassed and apologizes but Shiro doesn't mind at all and just chuckles.
• They go have dinner together after that. Shiro insists to pay and Keith is again very flustered the whole evening that such a handsome, intelligent gentleman would take out a greasy loser like him. That evening he learns that Shiro is actually rich. Very very rich. His parents were successful owners of a famous publishing company until they died when Shiro had just left the nest and left him wealthy. Also as top of his class once he graduates he has very good chances to get a high position in a company he took an internship at during the summer. Keith is impressed by Shiro's ambitions and feels suddenly very small and his dream now looks so trivial to him. Keith tells Shiro as much, in a joking way, but Shiro sees through him and reassures him that the arts are very important too and that maybe Keith can help prevent Shiro from getting dry and bitter. That sounds kinda dirty to his own ears and Shiro blushes and it's the cutest thing Keith had ever seen.
• Many more dates follow after that. They take it pretty slow, both finding that romantic and nice.
• When Shiro gets invited to Keith's place a few weeks later he sees Keith's art for the first time. He is... a tiny bit surprised. Keith keeps his drawings and sketch books lying around everywhere, seemingly unperturbed. Keith comes back from the toilet to see Shiro stand in the livingroom in front of one of his still lifes. He gets a bit anxious when he sees Shiro's frown. He asks "what do you think?" and Shiro forces out a "it's... good. Your use of colours is interesting" that he himself doesn't find convincing but Keith beams and thanks him for the compliment and Shiro feels So Bad.
• They spend more time in Keith's flat than Shiro's small house as Shiro finds it cozier here. They cook together whenever they have time, something Keith doesn't seem to have a talent for either but that he likes doing as long as it's with Shiro. He seems especially enthusiastic whenever he needs to cut vegetables. Their schedules are pretty full and they mostly meet at weekends, go to the cinema or go out to eat. But both secretly enjoy the times most in which they don't really do anything together but are just in each other's company. Shiro would study or read a book and Keith would work on a new art piece. Their relationship is cozy and domestic.
• The semester ends and Shiro graduates with an outstanding score in all of his exams. He gets offers for a few of the best companies in the country but he chooses the one closest to Keith. Keith himself fails most of his exams and has to leave college. He is devastated. Shiro suggests they drive up to Keith's parents' house and spend a few days there to cheer Keith up a bit. It would be the first time they would meet Shiro and that Shiro seems to want to take that step makes Keith feel better.
• Texas Kogane is a carpenter and Krolia a florist. Their house is small and looks a bit shabby from the outside but inviting and colourful from the inside. They immediately like Shiro. They can see he is a kind guy who sincerely cares for their son. Shiro is really nervous around the two but soon realises that he has nothing to worry about. They are really into him. Krolia jokes that Keith got his good taste in men from her.
• When Keith quietly tells them he dropped out, Texas calmly puts a hand on his shoulder and tells him it's okay to not go to college; he didn't and was alright after all. Krolia though gets a really fierce look and tells him now he has to work even harder and prove these assholes wrong. Over the weeks that they stay at the Koganes' Shiro learns these reactions were very typical for the both of them. Texas is a calm and relaxed person whereas his wife is temperamental and energetic. They complement each other well, he guesses.
• During their stay Keith helps his dad much. He repairs the door of the shed, installs traps for the rats that eat their way through the vegetable patches and feeds their old stallion Barnickle. Shiro mostly stays with Krolia as is her wish. She lets him help with gardening and asks him out about his life and intentions with Keith. She is content with his answers.
• Shiro and Keith stay in Keith's old room. They cuddle at night and kiss gently but don't get any further. Keith doesn't want to in the room of his childhood with his parents so close and Shiro agrees. Some evenings they ride on Barnickle out into the desert to watch the sunset and the stars that come out soon after.
• When they get back from this trip Keith feels much more optimistic. He gets back to drawing (which he had taken a break from) and practises some stuff from his college courses but mostly feels rebellious and works on his own ideas that they wouldn't accept back then. He is determined to be a freelance artist and sell his artworks. Shiro is really worried. He can't even place Keith's style. It's just... bad.
• Shiro is still fully supporting Keith though. He organises a gallery where he can exhibit his work. He has to pay much for that because they fear for their reputation. The vernissage is a disaster. Nobody turns up. Keith is heartbroken and Shiro feels that way too when seeing Keith like this. He reassures Keith they probably published the wrong date and pleads with the gallery to repeat the event. He will take care of everything. The next night the gallery is full. Shiro has pulled strings, making people who owe him something come as well as his and Keith's friends who also try to support their friend although they aren't really convinced of his dream. Keith is overwhelmed and so so happy. Shiro feels horribly guilty but can't bring himself to feel it was the wrong thing to do when Keith looks like this.
• Although to Keith his exhibition seemed like a success, nobody buys his art. Shiro quickly tells Keith he is willing to take care of customers. If someone wants to buy something, Shiro will handle it, he will hand the sold pieces over and bring the money to Keith. Keith is surprised to hear that and objects that Shiro has enough to do with his own job and Keith can do that himself but Shiro insists to do that for his boyfriend. In the next weeks Shiro buys much of Keith's art without him knowing. He hands the money to Keith and brings the pieces over into the cellar of his own house.
• Time goes by and they are happy together and with both of their work. Until one evening. Shiro invited Keith over for a romantic dinner. While Shiro cooks Keith wanders through the rooms and then goes down into the cellar, nosy as he is. What he sees there takes his breath away. At first he doesn't understand but then he realises what that means and he runs up the stairs, shouting at Shiro and crying. He never felt more angry, disappointed and miserable in his life. Shiro didn't have faith in him, that was the worst revelation. He runs out of the house and back to his flat. There he rips apart some of his drawings as he feels like he lost his dream.
• Back at his house Shiro breaks down and cries in front of Keith's art that he bought. He didn't just put them in the cellar like old stuff he didn't use. He had renovated it, the walls were painted, the air properly conditioned and lamps installed so the drawings and paintings wouldn't be ruined and could be seen properly. He had hung them in order in frames with glass to protect the surface and tidied the panes every day. Now he sits on the floor, crying, and studies every single one, trying to find a favourite but he can't. There is Keith's self-portrait, a painting of Barnickle with his parents' shack in the background, various still lifes with the craziest objects, and so many drawings of Shiro. Shiro sleeping, Shiro reading with his glasses on, Shiro smiling, Shiro frowning... Shiro realises just now that he loves Keith. He never said that, none of them had but seeing his face various times on the wall makes him see Keith loves him too. He cries even harder at that revelation. It seems he just lost his love.
• They don't see each other for weeks. Keith doesn't react to Shiro's texts and calls. Shiro calls in sick at work and stays home, drinking too much. One alcoholic night makes him feel determined to go and visit Keith. He will knock on the door until he's let in, if that doesn't work he will sing so loud Keith has to let him in if he doesn't want his neighbours to complain and if this still didn't make Keith surrender he would simply sleep outside his door. So Shiro calls a taxi and drives over to Keith's, knocking and yelling drunkenly. To his surprise Keith opens immediately, looking at him with wide and hopeful eyes. Shiro only now realises he yelled "I love you, Keith!". Keith asks him calmly if he really meant that and Shiro begans to cry saying yes, he really means that like he never did before and then ugly sobs onto Keith's favourite shirt. He quickly lets him in and they silently lie in bed together, Shiro in Keith's arms. Keith doesn't want to hear any more apologies than Shiro already babbled as long as Shiro is in this state and so they just sleep until the next morning.
• Shiro wakes up hung-over and embarrassd about what he did last night. That wasn't how he wanted to confess to Keith who hadn't even forgiven him yet. They have breakfast in silence. Shiro is so anxious as he sits in front of a disappointed Keith. Finally Keith speaks and asks: "now that you're sober, did you mean it?", and Shiro answers immediately with yes, trying to describe how much Keith means to him but Keith interrupts him with: "why did you do it?" and Shiro gulps. Keith needs him to be honest now, he knows that so he tells him everything. How Shiro wanted to always see him happy and excited like that first day they met and how he had doubts Keith would make it. How he tried to help and felt so guilty for it. Keith listens silently and looks so hurt that Shiro feels like crying again. He is sure Keith will now tell him it's over but he doesn't. Instead he says "I love you too." Shiro gawks and Keith continues: "I realised when you said you would take care of the business part. You showed me you cared for me and my dream and believed in me. But you didn't. It was all a lie." Shiro feels desperate. "I did care for you! And I still do! That's why I betrayed you, I wanted you to be successful. I know I was stupid and horrible and I am so sorry. I wish I could change anything now but I can't. I love you Keith and I want to be with you. Please." Keith doesn't react to Shiro's outburst and says: "I got a customer. One week ago Mr. Sendak bought four of my most expansive pieces. And then he ordered a portrait of himself. He's an important business man or something and the painting will hang on the wall of a gallery he sponsored." Keith talks calmly but Shiro feels pride radiating from him. He nods in understanding. "I was such a fool. I am so proud of you Keith, you deserve this. I'm going to go now, I'm sorry for coming over drunk and burdening you, that was inappropriate." He gets up with his head down but Keith stops him. "Where do you think you're going?", he asks, looking a bit angry. "I am still horribly mad at you and I don't know when I'll be able to forgive you and hell if you think I'll sleep with you any time soon. But I love you. And you love me. We just established that and I'm not letting you walk away with your tail between your legs. You'll stay and tonight we'll watch a movie that I choose no matter if you like it or not. You were wrong not believing in my art and I will rub that in for as long as I deem appropriate. We'll be together and live happily ever after. Understood?" Shiro can only nod dumbly and then jumps up to hug Keith really tightly and never let go.
• If you read this far I hope you understood the following things:
• In this au Keith is neither dumb, nor lazy nor vain. He aims to have a very realistic style but fails without seeing that himself. He practises a lot but simply doesn't make progress. Just because his art isn't realistic doesn't mean it isn't innovative, unique or won't find any fans, just look at Mr. Sendak. Keith also knows very much about art. He aced his art history exam as best of his class, just the practical parts were bad. His problem is that he can't objectively judge his own art, he sees it in a different light than others.
• This being said I don't want to offend anyone or any art style by this au. Any art is amazing if you are passionate about it. I know how much time and effort goes into it and I don't mean to underestimate that. I just thought this au sounded fun and was first meant as some kind of crack au. It was inspired by Florence Foster Jenkins.
• I might draw something for this au or write a fic, who knows? If you have ideas for this au and want to draw or write for it, go ahead! Tag me in it so I can see it :)

Haunted by an unexplainable and unresolved trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide feels her paranoia elevate to high-alert as she grows increasingly certain that something bad is about to befall her family. After spending a tense beach day with their friends, the Tylers (Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon), Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home to discover the silhouettes of four figures standing in their driveway.
