Not far from the Hotel, around 4 to 5 mins walk, individuals and/or travelers have an access to Runway Manila, a bridge connecting from Newport City to NAIA T3 and vice versa that helps incoming and outgoing passengers to lessen travel time.
3. Great Food from Breakfast to Dinner
Belmont Hotel is accessible for cheap and affordable foods since there are fast food chain and restaurants near them. But, if you feel like trying  their dinner buffet which happens to be during Friday and weekends you could. We tried their buffet breakfast was superb, love the taho there.
Tumblr media
 4. Awesome Customer Service
Its not just the property that makes Belmont Hotel  remarkable, its the kindness and courteous staff of them that will make you #comehomeagain in this place.

Kingsford Cafe is a Hidden Culinary Gem in Kingsford Hotel Manila
Tumblr media
It had been a while since my last visit to Kingsford Cafe, so I was happy to be invited last week to rediscover this hidden culinary gem inside Kingsford Hotel Manila. I usually indulge in their themed weekend dinner buffets, but this time we were here to explore some of the unique and creative dishes on their a la carte menu.
Tumblr media
Kingsford Hotel Manila is part of the growing lineup of homegrown Filipino hotel brands under Megaworld Hotels and Resorts. It’s located at Bagong Nayong Pilipino, just beside Okada Manila and right in the middle of the bustling Entertainment City. Since it's opening in late 2021 (Kingsford Café Opens Its Doors at Kingsford Hotel Manila), the hotel has been a popular choice for businessmen and travelers looking for a relaxing stay just minutes away from the NAIA airport terminals.
Tumblr media
You can find Kingsford Café at the ground floor lobby serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. The café comes with a refreshing and relaxing ambiance. Its contemporary design and cozy interiors are complemented with beautiful wall art pieces.
Tumblr media
The restaurant can accommodate up to 128 guests with dedicated seats available for alfresco dining. Guests may also dine privately with sectioned dining spaces ideal for intimate corporate events and other social gatherings.
Tumblr media
We were delighted to once again meet Kingsford Café’s Executive Chef Angelo Chubby Timban, a well adorned champion in international cooking competitions and celebrated for his creativity and passion for the craft. Staying close to his roots, Chef Chubby’s dishes pay homage to a strong Filipino upbringing but redefined through modern European techniques alongside contemporary Asian executions. The concept is to celebrate the rich produce of the Philippines and its multicultural influences by featuring nostalgic local flavors to capture the heart of every guest.
Tumblr media
Last year, Chef Chubby had created a very special Sampaguita Menu which features dishes inspired and infused with our national flower, the Sampaguita. This also includes Sampaguita beverages like the SaMaRRa (P320) on the left, a refreshing Sampaguita tea combined with mango juice, tarragon leaves, peppermint leaves, and vanilla extract. On the other hand, the Paraw Regatta (P280) is a cocktail named after the annual Iloilo sailboat festival featuring the Paraw. It comes with Jasmine tea, vodka, mango juice, blue curaçao, and grenadine.
Tumblr media
It was then time to try some of the featured signature dishes in Kingsford Café's a la carte menu. I've always been amazed at Chef Chubby's presentation and flavors, but we were really surprised with the new lineup that looks more appropriate inside a five-star fine dining restaurant instead of a casual dining cafe.
Tumblr media
We started with one of their bestsellers, the Kingsford Laksa (P300). This is a modern presentation of the Singaporean laksa with its creamy laksa broth poured over a medley of shrimp, bean sprouts, crisp miki noodles, young corn and straw mushrooms. It's a different experience from the traditional laksa, especially with the crispy noodles, but the overall flavors of the fragrant laksa are still very much present.
Tumblr media
My favorite and best new discovery that afternoon was the Kare-Kareng Bagnet (P450). This lovely deconstructed Kare-kare dish comes with crispy fried pork belly doused in a rich peanut and annatto sauce. It also has steamed lowland vegetables and served with slow cooked ginamos.
Tumblr media
I really loved the crunchy chicharron together with the juicy and savory pork belly. This is one of the best versions of Kare Kare I have ever tasted and I would gladly come back to Kingsford Cafe just for this alone.
Tumblr media
We also wanted to sample some of their special Sampaguita Menu, so we ordered the Gambas Royale (P580). This dish has big pieces of prawn al ajillo presented with Lucban risotto, soffits, asparagus, sampaguita, and mango salsa. It's not your usual Spanish-type gambas as it has less of the garlicky flavors but is more savoury and balanced, especially with the risotto and vegetables.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, the Bistek Tagalog (P500) is a twist on the traditional Filipino dish. This one comes with thick and fatty roasted beef belly with grilled cauliflower, roasted rustic potatoes, monggo and sampaguita caviar in a caramelized calamansi and lacuna jus sauce. I've never seen Bistek Tagalog served this way but we really enjoyed this thicker, meatier, and more flavorful version.
Tumblr media
For desserts, we also tried two of their colorful Sampaguita items that really put a big smile on my face.
Tumblr media
The Sakura Brazo de Mercedes (P300) is as pretty as they get. This has a mixed berry mousse cake on the bottom topped with a cherry micro sponge and chocolate branch with edible soil. Usually, you can only find this type of presentation in fine dining restaurants, so I was really impressed that they serve this here at a very reasonable price. Imagine going on a date and being served this dessert. You will really be going home happy.
Tumblr media
But that's not all, because I was even more impressed with the Mango Sampaguita Cheesecake (P320). I have eaten so many cheesecakes before but this was one of the best versions I have ever tasted! This deconstructed cheesecake is made with Sampaguita cream cheese, mango jelly, blueberry, and edible soil. The sweet cheesecake tasted like my favorite Hokkaido milk, so I really loved finishing this splendid dish.
Tumblr media
Kingsford Hotel Manila also has a few promotions in store for Father's Day. Show your love for Dad in the best way—through his stomach. Take him to a tasty food trip experience with a Weekend Dinner Buffet or a Father’s Day Buffet Lunch and bond over delectable food selections as endless as your conversations. Go up to the fifth floor pool area for a savory Chill and Grill, and chatter over unlimited drinks and a platter of grilled meats against a stunning backdrop of the city. Then end the day relaxed and stress-free with their cozy Deluxe Room, with a high-speed internet connection and a TV for a fun movie time–just the way dad likes it.
Tumblr media
Moments are definitely priceless, and so is their Kingsford Beer Mug! Make the moment last with a souvenir that he can use for years, and get your dad’s seal of approval at no cost, as the Beer Mug comes free with the room package. The King of the House Package starts at P8,988 nett for 2 pax and includes an Overnight Stay for 2, Buffet Breakfast for 2, Weekend Buffet Dinner or Father’s Day Lunch for 2, Chill and Grill for Dad, and a free Kingsford Beer Mug for Dad. The package is available from June 14 to June 16, 2024 only.
Tumblr media
We also took home some chocolates courtesy of Megaworld Hotels and Resorts which features eight different flavors representing eight of their outstanding local hotel brands. We would like to thank Lance Bermejo, Marketing Officer of Kingsford Hotel Manila, for inviting us back at Kingsford Cafe to try out these wonderful new dishes. Kingsford Cafe is one of the most underrated and best value-for-money hotel restaurants in the city, so make sure to drop and discover this hidden gem.

Three Famous Restaurant In Asia
Spiral Restaurant
If you’ve had a staycation at this hotel, then you definitely know that the rooms are just the tip of the iceberg. The one that takes the cake here is none other than Spiral Buffet: one of the best, grandest, and most extensive buffets in the metro.
Tumblr media
A buffet that has 21 ateliers a.k.a stations, Spiral Buffet in Sofitel Manila serves up a wide selection of food from vegetables to fresh seafood and even quality staple dishes from countries from all over the world. It’s not only a a go-to place for when you want a taste of the world but it’s also a go-to place for foodies who want to indulge in food you normally can’t find in other all-you-can-eat restos in the metro.
Tumblr media
The flagship restaurant of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, Spiral first opened its doors in the year 2006 and has evolved making its mark as the preferred dining destination with the richest selection of international cuisine and the restaurant of choice for seasonal offers, gatherings and special occasions.
Tumblr media
Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel CCP Complex 1300, Roxas Blvd, Pasay, Metro Manila
Odette Singapore Restaurant
Odette Singapore restaurant at the National Gallery has won a lot of accolades in the short span of five years. From zero to three Michelin Stars. Unfortunately prices seemed to keep pace with the awards. We had almost given up hope of dining there. Until recently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Odette Singapore restaurant is located on the ground floor of the National Art Gallery. It is in the former Supreme Court building, near the Cricket Club end of National Gallery. Posh restaurants tend to be housed in grand hotels. It is a joy to visit a nice restaurant in an art museum for a change. Odette restaurant in the Singapore National Art Gallery reminded us of The Modern in MoMA New York City, but on a smaller scale. Odette looks bigger in the photos than in real life. The kitchen in the middle appears tiny and was a hive of activity. I guesstimate the staff to customer ratio at the restaurant to be around 1 : 1. It was a full house during our weekday lunch. Online reservations have to made a month in advance, secured by credit card details.
Tumblr media
Odette Singapore Restaurant Menu
There were only two lunch options available at Odette Singapore at the time of our visit at the end of August 2020 : the 6 course $248++ “Terre & Mer” course and the “Indulgence” $358++ . As expected these days, it was the rule that everyone on the table had to order the same course. We were invited to lunch to celebrate a special occasion that happens once in 20 years. We lifted our eyes to get the cue from the host. She said, “the Indulgence menu looks nice”. Fireworks celebrations were set off in our hearts. But we calmly said, “we are happy with either, in fact the T & M option would be more than enough”, but not in an assertive way. The host’s view prevailed.
Tumblr media
RESTAURANT DEN 傳 | JINGUMAE, TOKYO, JAPAN
Tumblr media
The chef and the head chef
#45 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants; #2 on the Asia List. Two Michelin Stars. A restaurant where pictures of salad with a smiley face carrot compete with that of ‘Dentucky Fried Chicken’ for Instagram server space. A restaurant that serves a dessert looking – and heck, even smelling – like dirt, served on a shovel no less.
There is the service, first and foremost: it’s not your classic Japanese subservience. While omotenashi basics are a constant of the service staff, don’t be surprised when Hasegawa himself channels his inner Massimo, giving you a warm hug on sight! The staff, while assuredly not as touchy, are all smiles: relaxed and genuine, not at all forced. This can be seen when they’re more than happy to explain dishes in great detail; on the chef’s gleeful smile when presenting you Dentucky Fried Chicken – a riff on KFC – with as much excitement as the diner; when Hasegawa introduces the ‘true head chef’ at the end of the meal.
Hasegawa, his wife Emi and FOH Noriko Yamaguchi are Den’s linchpins. They are the friends you never knew you had until you step through Den’s doors.
Tumblr media
Then there is the restaurant itself, which relocated in late-2016. If you visit Den today, you will find an expansive space that seats at least 40, combining traditional Japanese accoutrements such as hinoki tables and counters, with modern design cues such as floor-to-ceiling windows. Far from the diminutive (albeit intimate) near-caves that describe the small-scale, counter-only restaurants emblematic of high-end dining in Japan – a description that applied to the old Den. Hasegawa’s latest restaurant incarnation provides a level of separation between kitchen and diner much more akin to a Western-style restaurant fitout. There is more seating, more space, more light, more kerfuffle. Diners can actually be comfortable in their own space. But importantly, none of the warmth attributed to small, intimate spaces is lost: Hasegawa, like the Energizer bunny somehow finds the time to cook and hop around interacting with each group of diners throughout the entirety of service.
Tumblr media
Unless in a group greater than two, you can’t look past the counter, literally: an elevated kitchen, horizontally spanning the restaurant, is high ground from where Hasegawa and Den’s chefs work. Right below this is another counter – this time for diners – the prime spots to watch the show, as it is to be watched. Den is relatively accessible for foreigners compared to other top-tier ryotei. While the only way to book a seat at the table is by phoning the restaurant directly, you don’t need a concierge service or a friend who speaks Japanese to act as middlemen. That said, don’t be surprised if the number of attempts begin to elicit memories of Sashimi Shinsengumi’s booking process (because hey, you tried – right?). At this point, one begins to wonder: maybe an online system will work better? Maybe I’ll just Airtasker it next time. Hah. But once you’re in, you’re in: and from here on out, the fun begins.
Similarities And Differences
For me their is no similarity for all famous restaurant because they need to be unique in terms of design and decoration, because the customer most go on a best restaurant and a unique design. They feel bored if the best restaurant is have a same design to other restaurant.

A Short but Unforgettable Trip
Tumblr media
Note: Pictures aren't mine because the camera that was used on this trip was burned when we experienced a fire accident way back in 2018.
It's been so long since I last travelled but I can still remember the trip that I had enjoyed. It was February, me and my aunt decided to visit Baguio, this wasn't my first time going to Baguio, in fact I've went there with my family way back. I picked this trip because I've barely remember the trip that I first had in Baguio and my memories from this trip is more fresh in my mind.
It was dawn, so early in the morning. Me and my aunt are getting ready so we're not late for our long ride. Its very important not to miss this because we are to ride a public transportation for our trip, and there's only two bad things that could happen if you miss your allotted schedule: first is you completely miss the chance of going on a trip and second you made it late but find yourself stuck on an unmoving bus because of traffic. The moment we arrived at the bus station (Victory liner) the ticket line was so long, thankfully we had already reserved our bus beforehand, that way our trip will be less hassle and it would go smoothly.
Being in the bus I remembered that listening to music and watching outside the window had kept me distracted and not bored. I'm a type of person who feel nauseous in moving vehicles that's why I'm really thankful I had prepared a long playlist while we're on the road. There are some stops for bathroom breaks in between the trip. I can't fully count how many stops we've had before arriving but every time we have to go out of the bus I always make sure to make the most out of it because the ride is very long.
At exactly lunch time we've arrived at Baguio, as I remembered, it took us 7-8 hours of travel just to get there. Since the same bus terminal that we rode was near the hotel, in fact there's even a shortcut from the bus terminal to the hotel's open restaurant, I just knew that fact by the time we're off to go back home so this information will be much of help on your first day. While leaving the bus, outside there will be people who will offer you a place to stay, I can't entirely suggest what best place to stay but our stay in the hotel was comfortable and there's a buffet every morning.
Tumblr media
Accommodations aside, as a person who grew familiar of Manila's climate, Baguio feels so new and so different, it made me feel the same chills I had when I first arrived there. It was sunny but the temperature was not as hot as it looks, it's cold enough to compare to Manila's temperature when it's raining. Aside from a greener environment, uphill and downhill roads the scenery was not so different from the bustling environment of Manila's everyday look, maybe it's because we stayed on Baguio's more "modernized" part, where there are buildings, restaurants and shops everywhere, making it all too familiar and not so different.
Our first destination was Burnham Park , we decided to go there after eating our dinner in the hotel. The park at night was as lively as i expected it to be in daylight. It's a fun place to stay together with your family and friends, the park was full of people but not too crowded, a perfect place for picnics and night walks! There are also some entertaining stuff you can do in the park like riding a mini boat on the lake or riding a small car. We also stumbled upon a vendor who is selling taho, what really amazed me was that they sell strawberry flavored taho, and it is delicious, what tops it is that they sell it hot even if it's already night time, making it a perfect treat to eat when strolling in the cold night park in Baguio.
Tumblr media
My aunt had some business to do in Baguio so we mostly stroll when its afternoon and night time, on our second day we decided to check the night market, it's not my first time visiting the night market but it definitely feels like a first time experience once again. True to its name the night market only exists when the sun is out, there's this big street that become a place bustling with tents and carts by the time vehicles aren't permitted to use the road. Seeing once again how people wait for that time and as they started to build this market one by one never seizes to amuse me. The night market is a good place to go if you're thinking of buying any items you need or taken a liking in because the prices there are very affordable.
Tumblr media
On the third day my aunt and I decided to make the most out of that day, because by the next day we'll be going back home. Our first itinerary was to visit a rose farm but we hadn't had the chance to, because it rained and public transportation was a lot harder to find, it might took a lot of our time for that day so we change our plan and decided to wait for the rain to stop and walk on the streets of Baguio instead. While walking we stumbled upon book stores, art stores and of course souvenir shops. I know these stores aren't that different from what people are used to seeing in Manila but the stores there has that authenticity feel to them, and despite of being a common shop it feels as fascinating as Baguio itself. The book shop (Mt. Cloud Bookshop) has stacks and stock piled of books in them and that familiar smell of books and their pages is pungent, oddly enough it feels inviting and cozy.
Tumblr media
As afternoon came me and my aunt went to a famous place (Good Shepherd) that sells well known peanut brittles, Lengua and best selling jams, flavored in strawberry and ube. Even though we have to wait for our order (because the line was so long) it was worth it and its perfect for gifts! I also suggest that you should buy as many strawberries and honey if you happen to visit Baguio because they sell them fresh and cheap there.
Tumblr media
By night time we ate on a restaurant called Good Taste it's a very famous restaurant recommended to us as well, as the restaurant's name suggest the food there was not just good but amazing. For our dinner we ordered Baguio's delicacy Bulalo Steak and Buttered Chicken (the restaurant's best selling food) The food was superb! The food wrapped up our day happy and feeling good.
Tumblr media
By the time we have to take our leave the same measures are done, we scheduled our departure ahead of time and wait patiently for our bus. The trip in Baguio was quite short , not all too many tourist spots mentioned in my travelogue and that's because our trip there was not really for visiting tourists spots but to unwind and feel a new environment for a change. I really wanted to share the common and everyday places in Baguio because I had felt a different sentiment out of all the supposedly common places there. It all felt familiar but different at the same time, it's not as grand or as long but its unforgettable. This trip was a fun trip for me and every time I reminisce about it I can't help but be happy and feel satisfied.

the proximity to the mall and cusine options, good airport transfers, clean and friendly hotel Seda centrio is a highly recommendable hotel. It is adjacent to the Ayala Mal , which has a good range of stores and cuisine options. the staff are friendly. Airport transfers can be arranged with a very reasonable rate of PHP200 per person. The hotel has a nice pool area. concierge can help you arrange for an adventure of white water rafting. check with the front desk for cocktail options as they sometimes have some nice programs at the bar. Breakfast buffet is sufficient considering that he price is very reasonable. the fish dishe i forget the name, was excellent. Cagayan de oro is a coastal city so ask for seafood

Seda Centrio is the best hotel in Cagayan de Oro in terms of location, service, and amenities. It's like a home away from home as it has all the basic and luxurious amenities that you would expect to find back home in the Western world. Staff were friendly and the hotel is situated literally beside the Ayala mall. The food was a bit mediocre for such a place but that wasn't a big deal breaker. The hotel was very safe, as you need to swipe your card to get access to your floor and room. Definitely will stay here again in the future.

Breakfast was excellent, Located beside the malls is a nice convenience, Price was very resonable for the quality of the hotel. The Mallberry Hotel is excellent all the way around except, no hot water. Since this is a common issue in the Philippines it wasn't a big deal to me but my wife sure was disappointed. Location, food and staff I have in the past stayed at Seda Hotel when i am in CDO(at about twice the price). This time I was planning on reeling in my expenses and what a windfall I had. The staff were on the whole excellent. The waiter in Rosso (Jey i think) was outstanding - polite, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The prices in Rosso were about 250-350 php for a lot of the main meals...about 8-11 $Aus. Outstanding value and great quality. The staff in the Blue Duck bar were of a similar standard. Now for the bad bits - WiFi in my room was pathetic! The best reception was in the bathroom, so i ended sitting on the toilet to get average reception. Even on the 2nd floor in the business lounge, the staff said the WiFi there was poor also - this is why the lobby bar is full during the day..the only place for good reception (and this is a business hotel?). My only other complaint was the choice of breakfast for Westerners - scrambled eggs and pancakes only! (I get that this is a primarily Filipino business hotel). Will I return...definitely YES!!

Mallberry hotel is a wonderful oasis in the busy and tired heart of CDO. The hotel has so many dining options that it's difficult to choose my favorite as they're all good. Great spa with wonderful staff and truly soothing massages. Rosso is a great little resto right off the main lobby - try the Gamba Quattro appetizer. Mallberry is your best bet in CDO - you won't be disappointed.

I checked in with my husband and after checked in, he went outside for a gig. Upon returning to the hotel, it is already dawn and no one is in the front desk. he cannot contact me too since i ran out of battery and my charger was left in the car with him (yes very unfortunate). As a result, he cannot use the elevator without me bringing the key card so that thw elevator will work. So as a piece of advice, ask for 2 key cards if there's more than one who will stay in this hotel 😁 It will also save time for you don't need to fetch your family everytime they will go down the hotel to buy something or whatever.

The location is great, though it is away from downtown area, the place is near the mall and there are lots of convenience stores outside, a massage parlor, restaurants etc. The place from where we stayed (9th floor) is also quiet. The room is just enough for a couple, the facilities are nice, there are plates, pans and cooking utensils provided, even a washing machine. Free Wifi is working but the TV has only 2 or 3 channels working. "Great value for money!!” Super love this place!! Location of the hotel is perfect! It is at the city center and a less crowded place than the one in Cogon. It is just a few steps away from Redtail too. A famous shrimp/seafood restaurant in CDO!! Also close to other fast-food chains like Jollibee, Mang Inasal, Burger King and a lot of coffee shops, and other restaurants nearby. There is a convenience store in front of the hotel too. The room is surprisingly nice and really clean. My first impression is that the hotel is already old so it won't be that nice but the room was clean, CR is clean and actually nice too. I love the bed because it looks like the whole mattress is made from memory foam!! So soft but not painful in the body. I love their bed so much. Airconditioning is cold too. So cold there was a time we turned it off for a few minutes then turned it back on again. Staff or the receptionist is not that friendly though. They answer your question but not as friendly as other kagay-anons we’ve met.

The Philippines is a tropical paradise in the Pacific Ocean made up of more than 7,000 islands that offer a natural playground for your inner explorer. Collectively, its landscapes feature an array of natural wonders, from volcanoes and rice terraces to underwater rivers and limestone caves, along with beautiful beaches.
Individually, the islands each offer something unique, whether you are looking for the best place to dive and snorkel or prefer to take in the historical sights in cities like Manila or Vigan, which have deep colonial roots.
Since the country is so spread out, a trip to the Philippines requires careful planning so that you can connect with the proper guides and find the most convenient lodging as a base for your favorite activities.
White Beach, Boracay
There is no shortage of pristine beaches in the Philippines, but if you are looking for a more active beach scene, one of the best places to visit is White Beach in Boracay. This is the most populous beach on the island but where you will find ample opportunities for boating and other water sports.
Plenty of chairs and hammocks are beneath the palm trees, so you can relax and enjoy the pure white sand. You can even book a beachside massage. Snorkeling is a popular activity at White Beach, but if you do not want to put in so much work, take a banana boat ride or book a trip on a glass-bottom boat.
Mayon Volcano, Albay
Most visitors will want to enjoy the volcano by viewing it from the ground. Nature trails in the national park grounds surround the volcano, where you can also see wildlife like parakeets and other birds.
The Mayon Volcano in the Albay province on Luzon Island is a must-see in the Philippines. It is an active stratovolcano with an elevation of more than 2,400 meters. The Mayon volcano has a perfect cone peak.
Extreme hikers can apply for a permit to climb the volcano, but it is a difficult trek through forest, and dangerous gases are emitted near the peak, so caution is advised. The ideal time to visit is March through May, outside of the rainy season. You can take an organized trip from Manila to get here
Chocolate Hills, Bohol
The geological wonder on the island of Bohol known as the Chocolate Hills is a unique natural phenomenon. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a protected area that features more than 1,200 small mountains that emerged above the ground over several centuries. The area was once under the ocean, and these unique hills expand in every direction.
They are green during much of the year, but during the dry season, they turn to a chocolate-brown color, thus the name, chocolate hills. A convenient path leads to the top of a lookout area, which provides the best view. Be sure to observe the many delicate flowers along the walkway that are unique to this area.
Underground River Tour, Puerto Princesa
Taking a river tour of the Underground River in Puerto Princesa is one of the most awe-inspiring things to do in the Philippines. The underground river on Palawan Island is inside the Subterranean River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The boat tours take you to experience the majestic five-mile river that runs below ground. The trip takes you through an intricate cave system surrounded by vertical limestone cliffs.
You can observe ancient stalagmite and stalactite formations as the coolness of the cave balances the tropical heat outside. As you float through the dark caves on emerald water, your guide will identify points of interest and tropical wildlife that lives along the river, which flows into the South China Sea. A full-day Underground River Tour from Puerto Princesa, includes hotel pickup and drop-off and a buffet lunch.
Batad Rice Terraces, Banaue
Viewing the Batad rice terraces at sunrise in Banaue is an unforgettable experience. This is especially recommended for landscape photographers who want to capture compelling images of Philippine agriculture. Some of these terraces are more than 2,000 years old and represent a common form of farming in the country.
The stacked terraces are carved by hand into the mountainside, creating vertical farming fields in a region void of flat land. Workers commonly plant rice and vegetables. You are able to walk some roads above the terraces that give you the best view by looking below. Early morning and dusk provide the best light to illuminate the electric green color of the fields.
Taal Volcano
The Taal Volcano on the island of Luzon is one of the most active in the country. It is in the center of Taal Lake, so just getting to the crater is part of the adventure. The city of Talisay, where you will catch a boat to get to the crater, is less than an hour's drive from Manila. You will catch a boat to go across Taal Lake then hike to the rim of the crater.
There are a number of trails around the volcano. The Spanish Trail goes to the top of the volcano and has some of the most impressive views. The less popular Kenney Trail is a good option if you want to avoid potential crowds or if you think you might want to rest along the way. This trail has quite a few shade trees.
Due to the logistics involved in visiting Taal Volcano, you might want to consider an organized day-tour.
Cabagnow Cave Pool
Although Anda, Bohol, is more popular for its white-sand beaches, the Cabagnow Cave Pool is a spot you wouldn’t want to miss. To enter the deep blue (or sometimes emerald green!) pool, you can either jump off the cliff into the water or go down the stairs. DG Tip: Make sure to come early, at around 8 AM, to avoid the crowds.

What’s a restaurant that you won’t ever have dinner/eat at again? Ooh I’m not actually sure. A good contender would be the small hotel we had breakfast at in Palawan because I found an eyelash on my eggs, and the hotel’s ambiance in general wasn’t too...summer-y or beach-y at all. I remember my dad hating himself that whole time cos he was the one who booked our family there, hahaha. The Mad Mark’s branch in UP Town Center is also a runner-up; bad service all around, food took forever to get to us, and Gab had to go straight to the cashier to pay after we ate because nobody was paying attention to us when we needed our bill. Did you have your morning coffee this morning? Or do you not like coffee? I don’t like drinking coffee in the morning because I don’t like feeling too jumpy right after waking up; I just have it with me when I study/work. I prefer cold, plain water for breakfast because it feels more refreshing than any other drink. Is there someone you know that is absolutely repulsive? My uncle, otherwise known as my mom’s brother. I never liked anything about him - he smoked endlessly when I was a kid, is a violent drunk, whipped my cousins with belts or slippers whenever they misbehaved as kids, and once punched a cat. He would have phases where he would seemingly turn a new leaf, but he would spiral back fairly quickly. I got tired of false hope and now just take to ignoring him whenever he shows up at family gatherings.
Are you tired from last night? Did you stay up late last night at all? I slept in, so I’m not feeling too tired. And I did stay up quite late - I was going to bring Gabie home by 10:30 PM so I can be home and sleep by 11, but during the drive, her dad texted that he and his friends are having a small party and that I could tag along if I wanted to. I did, and I was up until around 2 AM and ultimately just slept over at theirs because it was too late for me to be driving. Have you ever seen like THE hottest guy ever and just almost collapsed? James Reid winked at me at a school concert back when he was still a super lowkey celebrity, and I remember shaking so hard but I didn’t collapse haha.
Do you eat randomly, just whenever the hell you want? No, I always try to keep on schedule so I can keep at least one healthy habit.
Did you have trouble getting up this morning? No. I was able to sleep in, so when I got up I was already feeling recharged. What’s a movie you cannot BARE to ever watch again? The Hours was unbearable, and it triggered my suicidal tendencies in a way no other movie, song, or general trigger has. I avoid anything and everything that has to do with Virginia Woolf because of how badly that film shook me. Grave of the Fireflies and Schindler’s List are also worthy to be mentioned. What’s a few things that automatically make you go, “Awwwe”? Babies saying their first words, parents finding out they’re going to be grandparents, and dogs doing nice things for babies, like rocking them to sleep or licking their face to help them stop crying. It’s obviously baby fever up in here haha. Do you have soft hands? Do you like holding hands? Not sure if my hands are super soft but they definitely aren’t rough. I only like holding hands with my girlfriend, otherwise it feels very weird with other people and I always internally flinch whenever they put their hand on mine. Have you ever burnt a food, and make the whole house smell gross? Nah but I’ve had to clean up tupperwares with food that’s been leftover for 1-2 days and when I open them it stinks up the place real bad. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you had your own personal jet pack? I’m just hesitant about the amount of gas/fuel(?) it would waste to keep operating, but otherwise it seems like suuuuch a more convenient option. What’s your opinion on perfumes that are REALLY expensive? Do you like them? The expensive ones usually smell better or the best, so I don’t mind them; and I find people who use expensive perfume attractive. Have you ever really hated a teacher and practically made it clear you did? Yes, I did this to Ms. Patapat but this was only because she showed me first that she disliked me. I’m not one to back down, so I just played her game. Who got you hooked on the addiction your addicted to (If you have one)? I’m not addicted to anything. Are you a little bit cautious around horses? Do they scare you a bit? Yes, but only because I don’t know how to deal with them. Obviously they have a different temperament than, say, dogs, so I don’t know what would piss them off, what would make them kick me, etc. so I just behave around them. They don’t scare me per se but I’d rather not ride one by myself. Have you ever burnt your tongue like REALLY bad? If so, what on? Not my tongue, but the roof of my mouth. It was freshly-cooked takoyaki. If you could live next door to ANYONE, who would you want to live beside? Someone with a couple of nice and playful Golden Retrievers. Do you think your friends are pretty? Do your friends think you’re pretty? Yep, they’re all attractive tbh hahaha. I don’t know what they think of me though. Are you currently worried about your parents finding out about something? Yes. I wanna be the one to break my relationship with them, so I’ve been guarding that very carefully in the last three years. Do you like concerts? If so, do you like being in the mosh pit? Mosh pits are fun only if I like the music, so like if the concert is Paramore, or other bands I listen to. Otherwise I’d feel claustrophobic. Concerts in general are a whooooole lot of fun. Have you ever “liked” two guy best friends at the same time? Nopes. Do you think having a sleepover with a guy is theoretically acceptable? It’s theoretically acceptable but is realistically impossible especially in the Philippines. Do you like to have cake on your birthday? Which kind of cake in mind? Not really... I like having fancy buffets on my birthday; but if I was presented with a cake, cheesecake would be the best option to go with.

Seda Manila Bay: Best Staycation Hotel In Parañaque City, Philippines
Hey, ka-TakeOff Buddies! It's Miyo here, and welcome to another exciting segment of Hotel Experience! This time, I had the pleasure of spending a relaxing weekend at Seda Manila Bay in Aseana City, Parañaque, and boy, did this hotel impress me. From its spacious infinity pool and brand-new fitness gym to the fun mini golf and cozy cabana beds, this staycation was just what I needed to recharge.
Tumblr media
Let me tell you all about my wonderful experience at Seda Manila Bay!
A Perfect Staycation Spot in Entertainment City
I’ve always been a fan of Seda Properties. Whether it’s Seda Makati, BGC, or Ayala Center Cebu, Seda has consistently been my go-to for out-of-town staycations. And Seda Manila Bay did not disappoint!
Tumblr media
Seda Manila Bay is a 4-star hotel featuring 350 rooms, including deluxe, premier, family suites, and club suites. What's great about Seda Hotels is their strategic locations.
This one is situated near Ayala Malls Manila Bay and only a 20-minute drive from NAIA, making it ideal for leisure, family, and business travel. The hotel beautifully combines both business and recreational facilities.
My Room with a City View
Our room was located on the 8th floor, and let me tell you, the city view was just perfect. The bed? Super comfy!
Tumblr media
It felt like the mattress was hugging me, and I didn't want to get up the next morning—so soft, you just sink right into it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Infinity Pool, Fitness Gym, and More Fun Activities
One of my favorite spots in the hotel was the Infinity Pool located on the 5th floor. It’s the biggest pool I’ve seen at any Seda property!
Tumblr media
You can take an early dip at 6 AM, and there are fun water activities for the kids. Huge shout-out to the lifeguards, who were actively making sure everyone was safe.
Tumblr media
The pool is 4.2 feet deep, so if you're planning a dive, better rethink it. But it's perfect for casual swimming and family fun.
Tumblr media
Next on the list? The Fitness Gym. The equipment is still new, and it's a great way to stay active during your staycation.
Tumblr media
For the little ones, there’s a Play Room, and for teens (or the young at heart), there’s a Game Room with indoor sports like PlayStation and Xbox, plus a computer station for browsing.
Unique Discovery: Mini Golf and Cabana Beds
Here’s a unique feature I didn’t expect—Mini Golf inside the hotel! Open 24/7, all you need to do is ask the receptionist for a golf club and ball, and you're set for some classy fun.
Tumblr media
After a round of golf, unwind at the Cabana Beds, perfect for early morning meditation or just relaxing in the stillness of the evening.
For Business Travelers
If you're traveling for business, Seda Manila Bay has you covered. The Club Lounge is the perfect space for meetings or a quiet spot to get some work done. It's ideal for a business trip or even casual work during your vacation.
Tumblr media
Misto Restaurant Review
The next morning, we had our complimentary breakfast at Misto, Seda’s all-day dining restaurant. The buffet offered a good mix of international dishes and local favorites, but if I had to rate it, I’d give it a 3 out of 5. The staff was super accommodating, but I think the menu could use a bit more variety and reinvention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Prime Location – Mall-Hopping Time!
What’s also great about Seda Manila Bay is its proximity to nearby malls:
Ayala Malls Manila Bay
Parqal Mall
SM Mall of Asia
So if you’re in the mood for some shopping, you won’t have to travel far!
As our staycation came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions—sad that it was over but excited about closing the month with a wonderful partnership with Seda Manila Bay. This hotel truly lives up to its reputation of delivering excellent service and unforgettable experiences.
Like the hashtags say, #ThereIsNothingLikeSeda and #FilipinoHospitality are alive and well at #SedaManilaBay.
If you're planning your next staycation in Manila, I highly recommend checking out Seda Manila Bay. The room rates start at PHP 6,500, and you can visit their website to book your stay.
Until our next hotel experience, mga ka-TakeOff Buddies! ✨

Rico’s Lechon wins 3 International Awards
Tumblr media
CEO George Nocom Pua Wins GOLD Entrepreneur of The Year; Rico’s Lechon wins GOLD Company of The Year and BRONZE PR Campaign of The Year
Tumblr media
Rico’s Lechon President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) George Nocom Pua (GNP) is this year’s winner of the International Business Awards Stevie® for Company of the Year, PR Campaign of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year for Food & Beverage – Medium Size categories.
Tumblr media
Mr. Ruben Licera, CEO of ESTRAT Digital Marketing (left), Mr. George Pua, CEO of Meat Concepts (center), and Meat Concepts Corp.’s Marie-Jo Barles (right).
The Stevie® Awards is the world’s premier avenue for business award competitions. It was created in 2002 to garner the public’s recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and individual professionals. The competition is known to hold one of the world’s most coveted prizes for businesses and organizations worldwide.
The Stevie Award winners are determined by 250 professionals. The Stevie® Awards reviewed a record of more than 4,000 nominations this year. However, only about 35% of those nominations were considered to have received high-enough average scores to win the Gold, Silver or Bronze Levels.
Tumblr media
The new RICO’S LECHON team, led by its President/CEO George Nocom Pua received their awards at the International Business Awards Gala Event at Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere Hotel last 19 October 2019,  in Vienna, Austria.
George Nocom Pua: Entrepreneur of The Year
Tumblr media
Mr. George Nocom Pua giving his message after receiving the most coveted Stevie Awards for the Medium Size categories 2019.
GNP started his entrepreneurial journey at a very young age. Facing challenges in family bonds has pushed Mr. Pua to provide for himself and his family to make ends meet.
Known to his close associates as GNP, Mr. Pua dealt with hardships and challenges in his journey towards his current success. His passion and perseverance to succeed led him to become a seasoned entrepreneur, a respected global distributor, and a world-class restaurateur.
Aside from serving as President/CEO of GNP Trading, where he distributes international brands to world-acclaimed malls like SM malls and Hypermarkets; Pua is also currently at the helm of two corporations: No Limits Food Corporation and Meat Concepts Corporation, the company behind RICO’S LECHON.
Under the following corporations, Pua has also extended his love and passion for food by owning and managing the following multi-awarded brands: KPub BBQ, Thai BBQ Original Restaurant, OPPA Chicken, Modern China, OGAWA Traditional Japanese Restaurant, and Rico’s Lechon.
Under these companies, GNP has provided jobs to more than 1,400 employees and counting.
For his multiple achievements in managing world-class restaurant brands and for successfully turning the tide for the Rico’s Lechon brand, the IBA  2019 judges grant the highest plum to GNP; the coveted “Entrepreneur of Year” GOLD Stevie® Award.
“It is inspiring to see someone raise their lifestyle by serving their community through entrepreneurialism. GNP’s success is motivational since he gives value to the people and extends his care to his employees,” one of IBA judges critiqued.
Rico’s Lechon Wins Company of the Year
Tumblr media
RICO’S LECHON aims to provide the best dining experience to its customers through its “Da Best Gyud” culture. More than their service, each Rico’s Lechon’s branch aims to introduce their culture of making every gathering a memorable occasion for the diners.
The innovative approach and appeal of the “Da Best Gyud” culture to the public generated an increase in awareness and customer retention which paved the way for the brand to grow from a company of 50 strong employees to more than 500 employees when they opened 6 more additional branches in just 8 months. For these accomplishments, RICO’S LECHON has been conferred with the highest commendation, the “Company of the Year” GOLD Stevie® Award.
“Daghang Salamat Cebuano’s Campaign” wins BRONZE “PR Campaign of the Year”
Tumblr media
On another note, the IBA also recognizes Rico’s Lechon for their “Daghang Salamat, Cebuano!” campaign as the “PR Campaign of the Year” Bronze Level Stevie® Award.
The said campaign is an innovative mix of traditional and new media approach in bringing Rico’s Lechon closer to the hearts and minds of its target diners in Metro Manila. Aside from this, its offline approach includes a festive unlimited buffet of Filipino dishes with the highlight of offering their freshly cooked lechon to all of the dining public for free.
The campaign heralds the wide acceptance of the well-loved Cebu Lechon brand in Metro Manila.
The campaign received plenty of positive and supportive feedback from their customers and established Rico’s Lechon brand as the top choice for authentic Cebuano Lechon and Filipino cuisine.
Tumblr media
Rico’s Lechon Thanks International Community
Rico’s Lechon is the only internationally-recognized and multi-awarded lechon brand from Cebu, Philippines and is known to be the lechon of choice of celebrities and well-known public figures.
“We welcome these awards as the international community’s response to our commitment to quality food and momentous dining experience,” shares President/CEO George Nocom Pua.
“Rico’s Lechon will always continue to strive to be Da Best Gyud!, always in what we do,” GNP added.
With its 22 years, Rico’s Lechon continues to exemplify the true-Cebu value of “Da Best Gyud” [The Best Indeed]. Its values focus on giving only the best and most memorable food and dining experience to its beloved customers.

Adventure #1 - May 30/31/June 1&2: LA, Heathrow, Copenhagen, and The Regal Princess: The Start of a Journey
Tumblr media
When you travel as much as my family does, you get really good at it; squishing everything you can into your luggage, the long travel times, sleep deprivation, time zone changes, jet lag.
For as long as I can remember, my family has taken a trip every summer. We started off with road trips around America and then later moved on to trips to other countries. Since then, we have been to almost all 50 states and over 20 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia. My mum decided to take a cruise on the Baltic Seas and then take a road trip around Germany after the cruise. We figured out a long time ago that cruising is the best way to travel because you’re essentially living on a floating hotel with gourmet food and turndown service; the next morning, you’re in a new destination; if you do it right, you really get your money’s worth!
On May 30, we began our day hurriedly packing and repacking our luggage. The week leading up to the trip, we had family visiting from the Philippines and were too busy taking her out to focus on packing. I do not recommend this; you’ll forget to bring a lot of things. This trip was the first trip that we were extremely underprepared for and we were mostly winging our itinerary.
Tumblr media
May 30, packing up the car to head to the airport
Growing up with parents that felt the need to have a big family vacation at least once a year means that I have grown to love (and hate) traveling. For example, I love having the opportunity to experience a new country and culture, but I hate the flight that you have to take to get to that country; in this case, we were flying from LAX to London Heathrow to Copenhagen. We’re quite used to flying long flights so a 10-hour flight was nothing: my parents fell asleep almost as soon as we were seated on the plane, and my sister and I spent the whole flight watching movies and drifting in and out of sleep. Through years of experience, I’ve found that on a flight with a stopover, you should sleep on the first flight and not on the second if you are arriving in the morning; you won’t be super jetlagged.
Tumblr media
Before we left for the trip, we were booking all of our hotels and AirBnBs, only to find that the Danish Kroner was much bigger than the US dollar and would cost us $300 for one night at the cheapest hotel. In frugal Asian speak, this means that you spend the night at the airport after about 24 hours of traveling -- it’s kind of the worst feeling. We arrived at 11 pm but could not check in to board the ship until 10 am, so we spent the night tossing and turning on unforgivingly hard airport chairs, unable to actually stay fully awake or get any actual sleep.
June 1 At about 6 AM, feeling too cooped and restless just staying in the airport, we bought bus tickets and headed out with high expectations and excitement for Copenhagen. It was one of the cities that we had wanted to go for a long time; suffice to say, it did not live up to our expectations. Just walking out of the airport, the city smelled awful; it seemed to be garbage day (of course) and it looked as if the city had spent the night partying and littering in the streets. We took the bus to the main train station where we used these traveler’s lockers beneath the main terminal of the station to store our suitcases. Priced at about $11, it was very helpful to have somewhere to store large suitcases while roaming the city. While walking down the street to find breakfast, we noticed that there were still clubs open at 6 am and drunk people were stumbling out and finishing their beers on the sidewalk; it was definitely unlike anything we have seen in Europe. The only food store that we found that was open was McDonald’s which was a treat to us because for some reason American fast food always seems to be better in other countries; McDonald’s in Denmark did not disappoint.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
June 1, our first taste of Denmark
We finished eating around 7:30 AM and spent the rest of the morning walking through the city, exploring whatever places were free and open, which meant we mostly looked at the outsides of buildings. We got to see the Christiansborg Palace, where Denmark’s Supreme Court, The Prime Minister’s office, and the Danish Parliament are all held. While we were walking through the palace grounds, we happened upon the gardens in front of the library and all of the flowers were in full bloom. So pretty!! None of us were really paying attention to the buildings around even though we fully should have because at that point, we had been awake for more than 24 hours and were starting to feel a little under the weather. We all gave up trying to see more of the city and headed back to the train station to just sit and rest until we could begin making our way to the cruise ship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It took some figuring out but we were able to figure out the public transportation to get to the cruise terminal. The process of going through security and checking in was fairly quick. While we were checking in, the cruise personnel informed us that our room had been upgraded to a family suite with a balcony at the front of the ship on the 15th (Lido Deck) floor. As soon as we got to the room, we all took naps, really starting to feel a cold coming on; we slept through lunch and the beginning of the festivities of the launch party. We had a quick dinner at the buffet and went to sleep right after.
Tumblr media
View from our stateroom balcony
June 2 The next day, June 2, sea-day #1, we spent resting in bed. Three out of the four of us were sick with a cough and cold and all four of us were extremely jetlagged. It was nice to get some rest and relaxation in and we spent most of the day resting in bed or roaming around the ship to see what activities were going on.
After taking a look at the cruise’s itinerary for the day, we realized that Captain’s Night, a formal night where the captain and his crew are introduced to the guests of the ship at a big party, was that night. This was a bit strange because on previous cruises that we had been on, Captain’s Night was always in the middle of the cruise. This cruise was a little different because not everyone on the ship had the same embarkation and disembarkation dates. While it was strange to us, we got ready quickly and headed downstairs to where the party was; my dad opted to stay in bed and order room service. We took pictures at the professional booths, then had dinner in the formal dining. Most of the night was just such a blur because we were all a little seasick, jetlagged, and on cold medicine. We ate a three-course meal as quickly as possible and headed straight to the room to sleep right after.

Pause The Journey
(A Bucket List Journey)
Do you love beaches? Do tan lines, white sands, amazing rock formations, crystal water; good quality of foods excites you? Are you in for an extreme island adventures? Well get your bikinis ready and travel with me through my experiences in one of the most beautiful places in the world -- PALAWAN, PHILIPPINES!
From Cebu it takes 1 hour ride on an airplane to Busuanga Airport and afterwards a van of your chosen resort will take you to Coron, Palawan, City Proper then we rode on a boat for 5-10 minutes to go to an area where our resort (Coron Underwater Garden Resort) is located. In our resort we rented a floating room for family.
Since Palawan is a place where you can see beautiful islands and beaches the common transportation is a boat and coastguards are very strict on the safety of the people that is why they will check if passengers are wearing a life jacket. You can also rent a kayak, googles and snorkeling equipment to best enjoy the island activities. Lastly, they have package tour (for islands and beaches) that you want to go to with a lunch buffet.
TIP #1: choose a package tour island and beach adventure so that your tour will be spontaneous and you can choose famous tourists spots. And specially in  package tour, lunch is included (seafood, rice, meat and etc. )
CORON, PALAWAN
Tumblr media
For our first tour we went to Malcapuya Island, where fine white sand that is perfect for picture taking and relaxing.
Tumblr media
It is a bit windy but the place is worth it
It is located 2 hours away from the town of Coron. Most tour groups around town offer packages going to Malcapuya Island. It is usually packaged with Bulog Dos and Banana Island. The boat ride to this island can be a little rough because of the strong waves but it is definitely worth it. The boats will dock at the back beach which is not as nice as the main beach. A short walk will lead you to white sand beach facing west. Among all the beaches we have visited so far, Malcapuya’s sand rivals Boracay’s. It is as white and as powdery as the one in White Beach, Boracay. Credits to https://thelostkids.ph/2016/03/13/malcapuya-island-palawan-powdery-white-sand-island-in-coron/
Tumblr media
Twin Lagoon is where you can see clear water and beautiful rock formations that is instagrammable.
Overall, I can see why Twin Lagoon is so popular. It is lovely to swing through, probably especially when there are not jellyfish blooms, and it is hard to imagine anywhere in the world that looks quite like it. Though I wish I had seen it in the early morning hours without people, I am still glad I saw it, crowds and all. If you are island hopping in Coron, definitely stop by and give it at least an hour of your time. Be sure to bring your (waterproof) camera, the pictures are amazing. From https://www.bemytravelmuse.com/twin-lagoon-coron-palawan/
Tumblr media
Next stop is the Kayangan Lake, with a crystal water and beautiful scenery.
Tumblr media
This picture was taken before we went to El Nido. You can see through our faces that we enjoyed our experience and we spent more time and bond for each other.
We spent 3 days and 2 nights in Coron and we travelled via fastcraft to El Nido, Palawan. Trysicle is one of the transportation in El Nido with a fare of 50-100 pesos depending on where you will go.
We booked a nearby French inspired hotel that caters different variety of Filipino, American and French cuisines or dishes.
 EL NIDO, PALAWAN
Tumblr media
A view from our hotel in El Nido
Tumblr media

TIP #2: if you want to pay less on a boat ride for island adventure never take a private or exclusive ride because it is very expensive, like for us we spent 20-30 thousand pesos per ride for the boat that is exclusive only for us family.

Dubai is the largest and most populous city in the United Arab Emirates and the capital of the Emirate of Dubai. It is a global and city and the business hub of the Middle East. From Philippines to Dubai, it took us 9 hours of travel time to reach the city and what awaited us was a magnificent view as we had a birds eye view of the area. It has also attracted the attention of the world through large construction projects, opulent hotels and hosting major sports tournaments. However, that's not the only notable thing about the city but also their spectacular tourist destinations such as the Burj Khalifa, which is referred to as the tallest building in the world. Another destination which would truly complete the Dubai experience is the Desert Safari wherein one may ride either a buggy or a 4x4 vehicle going up and down on sand dunes to reach.
I visited this stunning place last May 6, 2016 with the planning of my cousins who was situated in the area and they handled most of the itinerary for our one week stay. It was an unforgettable experience as we rode through the desert while dune bashing which was a scary but fun experience. It was as if we were tiding a roller coaster while inside a 4x4 vehicle which at the time was a Toyota Land Cruiser. After some time, we were then brought to the central camp wherein we got to experience their culture and tradition.
What made that experience truly extraordinary is my first time riding a camel. It was quite nerve-racking since the camel is very tall but when it kneeled down for us to ride, I thought it was quite adorable. Once I got on, the camel stood up starting from its rear and then the front. We started to ride around the area using the camels which was invigorating especially since I have only seen camels from movies and pictures but at that moment I was not only seeing it but actually riding it.
After that scenario, we went inside the camp to have the Bedouin experience wherein there are artifacts to be seen as well as souvenirs to buy and take home. We sat on the carpet on the floor near the stage and partake in the authentic emirati activities. The best part of the experience was trying the scrumptious Middle-Eastern cuisine which is the barbeque dinner. It was set up in a buffet style course wherein you have to fall in line for the food which is a wide array of dishes which can be for vegetarian or not but the barbequed lamb was definitely the best. We also got to witness live entertainers which are the belly dancers to perform while consuming our dinner.
At the end of the dinner, we are safely brought back to our hotel carrying remarkable experiences from our trip which greatly made it worthwhile. It is definitely a must in the itinerary if you want to have an Arabian experience and explore their culture.
