Energy Efficiency in Style: How Box Sash Windows Can Save Money
Energy efficiency is a key concern for homeowners looking to reduce their carbon footprint and lower their energy bills. One effective way to achieve this goal is by investing in the finest quality sash windows. Sash windows not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of a home but also provide numerous benefits when it comes to energy efficiency. By minimizing heat loss and reducing the need for artificial cooling or heating, these windows can significantly contribute to creating an eco-friendly and cost-effective living environment. In this article, we will explore the various advantages of energy-efficient sash windows, highlighting how they can transform homes into more sustainable and comfortable spaces.
What are box sash windows?
Box sash windows are a classic and elegant choice for homeowners seeking the finest quality sash windows. These traditional windows consist of two vertical sliding panels, or sashes, which can be opened from either the top or bottom. One of the key features that sets box sash windows apart is their smooth operation and excellent ventilation capabilities. With a simple pull on the sash, homeowners can effortlessly control the airflow in their home, allowing for a comfortable and refreshing environment.
In addition to their functionality, box sash windows are known for their timeless beauty. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, these windows exude a sense of sophistication and charm that enhances any architectural style. The finely crafted frames showcase elegant joinery techniques that add depth and character to both modern homes and period properties alike.
How box sash windows can improve insulation?
Box sash windows have long been a popular choice for homeowners due to their aesthetic appeal and timeless elegance. However, what many people may not realize is that these windows can also significantly improve insulation in a property. With the advancement of modern technology and the use of innovative materials, box sash window companies are now able to create energy-efficient solutions that help reduce heat loss and enhance thermal performance.
One key feature of box sash windows that contributes to improved insulation is their double glazing design. Unlike traditional single-pane windows, double glazing consists of two glass panes separated by a layer of air or gas. This additional layer creates an effective barrier against external elements, preventing cold air from entering and warm air from escaping the property. As a result, homeowners can enjoy a more comfortable living environment while reducing their energy consumption and lowering heating bills.
The cost-saving potential of box sash windows
Box sash windows have long been revered for their elegance and timeless appeal, but did you know that they also possess impressive cost-saving potential? As homeowners become increasingly conscious of energy consumption and rising utility bills, investing in box sash windows from a reputable box sash window company can be a wise decision. These windows are adept at retaining heat during the winter months, effectively insulating your home and reducing the need for excessive heating. Additionally, their design allows for efficient ventilation during the summer, eliminating the need for power-hungry air conditioning units.
One of the key reasons why box sash windows excel in saving costs is their ability to reduce heat loss. The traditional sliding mechanism of these windows ensures a snug fit when closed, preventing drafts that can seep through gaps commonly found in other styles.
Box sash windows as a stylish addition to homes
Box sash windows have long been admired for their timeless elegance and classic design. As a stylish addition to any home, these windows not only enhance the overall aesthetic but also provide practical benefits. A reputable box sash window company can help transform your property, giving it a touch of sophistication and charm that will be the envy of your neighbors.
With their sliding mechanism and slender frames, box sash windows offer an abundance of natural light while maximizing space efficiency. The smooth operation of these windows allows for easy ventilation and cleaning, making them both functional and convenient. Additionally, their traditional look adds character to any style of architecture, be it Victorian or Georgian, creating a sense of heritage that is sure to impress visitors.
When seeking the perfect box sash window company for your home improvement project, it is crucial to choose one with experience and expertise in this specific field.
Conclusion: Embracing energy efficiency with box sash windows
Box sash windows have become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. Not only do they add a touch of elegance to any home, but they also offer excellent energy efficiency benefits. By choosing a reputable box sash window company, homeowners can embrace energy efficiency and enjoy lower heating bills.
One of the main reasons why box sash windows are so energy-efficient is their ability to provide effective insulation. With their double-glazed panels and tight-fitting frames, these windows prevent heat from escaping during the colder months and keep cool air inside during the summer. This not only creates a more comfortable living environment but also reduces the need for excessive heating or cooling, ultimately leading to significant cost savings on energy bills.
Additionally, box sash windows often come with advanced features such as draft-proofing strips and weather seals that further enhance their thermal performance.

Reviving a Classic: Modern Upgrades for Box Sash Windows
The beauty and charm of box sash windows
Step into a world where time stands still, where every glance out of your window transports you to a quieter, more graceful era. Box sash windows are not just mere openings in the wall; they are works of art that capture the essence of historical architecture with their detailed joinery and delicate balance mechanisms. Join us as we delve into the enchanting world of box sash windows, unveiling their hidden stories and celebrating their enduring beauty that effortlessly bridges past and present in our modern lives.
Common issues with traditional box sash windows
Traditional box sash windows are beloved for their classic charm and elegance, but these iconic features also face several common issues. One of the major problems is draughts, as these windows can often be less energy-efficient compared to their modern counterparts. The design of box sash windows can make them prone to letting cold air infiltrate a room, resulting in higher heating bills during colder months.
Another prevalent issue with traditional box sash windows is their susceptibility to rot and decay. Over time, moisture can penetrate the wood and cause it to deteriorate, leading to structural damage and compromising the window's functionality. Furthermore, maintaining and repairing traditional box sash windows can be time-consuming and costly due to intricate glass pane configurations and intricate mechanical systems. Homeowners need to invest in regular maintenance or risk facing potential issues such as jamming or broken cords.
Luckily, there are solutions available that address these common problems with traditional box sash windows. Installing secondary glazing is an effective way to improve energy efficiency by creating an additional barrier against draughts without altering the window's original appearance. Additionally, advancements in materials have led to rot-resistant options such as uPVC or timber that has been pre-treated against decay – providing homeowners with a longer-lasting solution. Finally, considering replacement options like slimline double-glazed units or sliding sashes can offer improved insulation while retaining the timeless aesthetic that makes these windows so popular today.
Modern upgrades for improved functionality
When it comes to modern upgrades for improved functionality, one area that often gets overlooked is traditional box sash windows. These beautiful and timeless features of a home can be made even better with a few simple updates. For example, adding double glazing to your sash windows can significantly improve energy efficiency and reduce outside noise. With the advancements in technology, you can now have all the benefits of modern insulation without sacrificing the classic look of your windows.
Another upgrade that can greatly enhance the functionality of your sash windows is installing a spring balance system. This clever mechanism replaces the old-fashioned pulley system and allows for smoother operation and easier maintenance. No more struggling with sticking or rattling windows - with a spring balance system, opening and closing your sash windows becomes effortless. Additionally, these systems are designed to last longer than traditional pulleys, saving you money on future repairs or replacements.
One final upgrade worth considering is adding window locks for increased security. Traditional box sash windows are not always known for their robust locking mechanisms, which can leave your home vulnerable to break-ins. By installing modern window locks specially designed for sash windows, you can gain peace of mind knowing that your home is secure against unwanted intruders. Plus, these locks can be discreetly installed so as not to detract from the appearance of your beautiful sash windows.
Energy-efficient solutions for box sash windows
When it comes to traditional box sash windows, energy efficiency may not be the first thing that comes to mind. However, with advancements in technology and design, there are now several energy-efficient solutions available for these classic windows. One such solution is the installation of double-glazing. By fitting two panes of glass with a layer of insulating gas in between, double-glazed sash windows can significantly reduce heat loss and draughts, improving thermal comfort and lowering energy bills.
Another energy-efficient option for box sash windows is the use of draught-proofing techniques. Traditional sash windows tend to have gaps and cracks that allow cold air to enter and warm air to escape, leading to energy wastage. Draught-proofing involves sealing these gaps using various methods such as adding brush strips or seals around the frames and rebates. This not only improves insulation but also helps reduce noise pollution from outside.
In addition to these solutions, it's worth considering secondary glazing as an energy-efficient option for box sash windows. This involves fitting a discreet secondary window on the inside of the existing window frame, creating an extra layer of insulation without altering their appearance from the outside. Secondary glazing helps enhance thermal performance by trapping heat between the two layers of glass while also reducing noise infiltration.
By exploring these energy-efficient solutions for box sash windows, homeowners can maintain the charm and character of their traditional windows while enjoying enhanced comfort and lower energy consumption.
Enhancing security without compromising aesthetics
When it comes to home security, many homeowners find themselves torn between functionality and aesthetics. However, there is no need to compromise one for the other, especially with traditional box sash windows. These elegant and timeless windows can enhance your home's security without compromising its overall aesthetic appeal.
One way to enhance the security of traditional box sash windows is by adding key-operated locks. These locks are discreetly installed within the window frame and provide an extra layer of protection against intruders. Additionally, reinforced glass can be used to make it much harder for burglars to break into your home through these windows. With advancements in technology, laminated glass options are now available that not only improve security but also provide sound insulation and UV protection.
Another innovative way to enhance security while maintaining the charm of traditional box sash windows is by using window film. This translucent material acts as an additional barrier against forced entry attempts while still allowing natural light to illuminate your living space. Window film provides a cost-effective solution that can be easily applied directly onto existing glass panes without altering the window's original design.
By considering these enhanced security solutions for traditional box sash windows, homeowners can have peace of mind knowing their homes are well-protected without sacrificing the beauty and authenticity these classic windows bring.
Maintaining and preserving the classic style
The allure of a classic style can never be underestimated. Whether it's in fashion, architecture, or interior design, there is something timeless and elegant about preserving traditional elements. Take, for example, the beloved classic feature of traditional box sash windows. These windows have been a hallmark of architectural charm for centuries and continue to captivate the eye with their refined simplicity.
Maintaining and preserving these unique windows requires some care and attention but is well worth the effort. Regular cleaning helps to keep them looking pristine while also allowing natural light to flood into your space unimpeded. Repairing any damage promptly is crucial in order to prevent further deterioration and maintain their integrity as an essential part of your home's aesthetic appeal.
In addition to maintenance, there are also modern techniques available for enhancing the energy efficiency of traditional box sash windows without compromising their classic style. Installing double glazing or adding draught-proofing strips can significantly improve insulation while still retaining the character of these charming features.
By taking the time to properly maintain and preserve classic elements like traditional box sash windows, you not only enhance the visual appeal of your space but also contribute towards preserving a cherished tradition that has stood the test of time. Embracing this blend of old-world charm and modern functionality allows you to create a truly captivating living environment that embodies both elegance and practicality.
Conclusion: The perfect blend of tradition and modernity
In conclusion, the perfect blend of tradition and modernity can be exemplified by the integration of traditional box sash windows into contemporary architectural designs. These classic windows are known for their elegant and timeless charm, but their compatibility with modern technologies makes them an ideal choice for homeowners seeking a harmonious balance between the past and the present.
One of the key advantages of traditional box sash windows is their ability to retain historic character while offering enhanced energy efficiency. With advancements in materials and design, these windows can now provide excellent insulation, minimizing heat loss during winter months and reducing energy consumption. This combination not only preserves the aesthetic appeal of older buildings but also increases sustainability.
Moreover, these traditional windows offer more than just visual appeal; they provide a link to our cultural heritage while catering to contemporary needs. The craftsmanship that goes into manufacturing box sash windows contributes to their enduring popularity in historical restoration projects. By incorporating such elements into modern homes, we embrace a sense of history and appreciate the artistry that has been passed down through generations.
The integration of traditional box sash windows into modern architecture encapsulates our desire for nostalgia, authenticity, and innovation. It allows us to celebrate our rich heritage while embracing technological advancement. As society continues to evolve, it is essential to find ways to bridge tradition and modernity – blending old-world charm with new-age convenience – creating spaces that honor our past yet propel us towards an exciting future.

Therapy for the Dead and Buried
A Danny Phantom x The Bright Sessions Crossover
DP Crossover Angst Week Day 6 - Runaway
Summary: Alone and in hiding, Danny is sent to mandatory therapy. It's a bit... strange. And unusual.
Notes: First chapter of a multific! Should be relatively friendly to those unfamiliar with The Bright Sessions, as it's mostly Danny's POV.
AO3
“New patient. Session one. Male, seventeen, no known history of psychological counseling. Referred by school for ‘antisocial behavior’, but no examples given, and strong comments were made about his, quote… ‘unsettling vibes.’ Condition unknown.”
-
It was a very ordinary-looking room.
Danny wasn't sure what he'd been expecting, but "boring" hadn't really occurred to him.
The office of Dr. Bright was reasonably spacious, with pure white walls and a thick baby blue carpet. A single sash window overlooked the park, and before it sat a laminate desk - almost certainly IKEA - with precisely organized trays of papers and stationery. No photos or trinkets adorned it. Not even a Newton's cradle, disappointingly.
Towards the center of the room sat two small sofas - firm looking, upholstered in dark blue vinyl. The hospital type, designed for ease of cleaning up bodily fluids. Plump-looking cushions softened their corners. A low coffee table sat between them, sporting a small succulent and a large box of tissues.
Danny had chosen the sofa which faced the window and door, with his back to the blank wall. He got the impression that he'd made the wrong choice, somehow. He didn't give a shit.
The doctor was looking at him, one manicured eyebrow just a micrometer higher than the other. The silence stretched on, awkwardly.
"Um. Sorry. Could you repeat the question, please?"
"Of course. I asked if you knew why you were here, James?"
Danny stared out of the window, into the cloudy sky. There were many ways to answer that question. Classic shrink tactic, probably, to suss out his brain. Most of the answers that came to mind were smartassery - because this is where your office is. Because the bus brought me here. Because of human evolution. Because I'd get kicked out of my school if I didn't come.
What impression did he want to give her? Who did Danny James want to be now? What was most useful to him?
He looked at the doctor's face. "Because people are unsettled by me. I can't help it, but they are. And they want me to stop. Unsettling them, that is. And you're meant to teach me, like, body language techniques or something."
Doctor Bright settled into the sofa a little, like a question had been answered, or a data point obtained. She smoothed the creaseless paper in her lap.
"And what makes you think that?"
"The whole, 'James, there's clearly something deeply fucking wrong with you, and it's freaking out your classmates. Get help,' thing kinda clued me in, Doc."
"I assume you're paraphrasing."
"I'm not, actually. F-bomb and everything. Scout's honor."
"I'm surprised that your principal would use such language with you, James. That must have been disconcerting."
Danny stared at her. That was an unexpected response. "You saying you believe me? That he said that?"
"I do, James. My job here isn't to be a skeptic, or to 'find out the truth'. I'm here to listen, offer advice, and help you learn some skills and techniques to redirect your own behavior and mentality as you wish." The doctor adjusted her glasses. "So yes, James, I believe you. And as your therapist, I will believe whatever you tell me in this room, no matter how... outlandish, you may feel it is. That is my job here."
Danny couldn't help but smile at that, just a little. "That's a sweet sentiment Doctor, genuinely, but you can't mean that seriously. You must get all sorts of compulsive liars or straight-up crazies through here, there's no way you just decide to believe them all."
"Let me rephrase, then. While it's true that many of my patients will tell me things that they know not to be true, I find it best to start from a place of belief. If I decide, after getting to know them, that they are in fact serially lying to me, or are mistaken, I adjust accordingly. But until I can know that? I believe them."
"So if a crackhead told you they could fly. You'd just believe them?"
"I would, yes. Up and until I come to the irrefutable conclusion that they are lying or mistaken. Does that surprise you?"
Danny scoffed. "Yeah, that surprises me. It's nuts. There's no way you can do your job properly like that."
Doctor Bright smiled. "I've found it works best. For one thing, any patients I get through this door will come to learn that, no matter how strange or unusual it may be, they can tell me. I will not judge them, or turn them away, or have them committed."
There was a pause.
"So. You want me to tell you how ' strange and unusual' I am."
"No, James. I want you to tell me whatever you wish to tell me. This is an introductory session, I just want to get to know you."
"Specifically, you want me to tell you outlandish things about myself. Things no one else would believe. Things that make others scared of me."
"James, I merely-"
"Nope. Bye. Tell Principal Khan I failed at therapy, I guess."
He grabbed his backpack, and left.
-
“End of session one. Patient left abruptly.”

December Twenty-Fifth

Waking up on December twenty-fifth, was meant to be like waking up on any other day.
   For Spectre anyway.
Seven years old, he was full of wonder and curiosity but not for Christmastime. He didn’t enjoy fried food, he didn’t like mushy-gushy romantic comedy movies for adults. He had never celebrated Christmas at the orphanage prior. Not enough money to go around to give the children more than colouring-in sheets and maybe a store bought card.
And so, that date on the calendar, remained innocuous and boring just like any other day.
   Until now.
“Tada. Do you like it?” Ryoken asked.
He held Spectre’s hand, guiding him down the stairwells of the minimalist monstrosity which was the Kogami Mansion and yet… The sun room was a cacophony of festive spirit. It was kitsch and bright. Christmassy. Full of red and green amid the otherwise dreary, white walls and furnishings of the mansion. Wreaths hung up on the window panes, ribbons and sashes dashed through the room, fairy lights twinkled, and then there was the centrepiece: a fir tree which had yet to be decorated but was still accompanied by various presents.
   Five of them, Spectre counted.
Spectre was dumbfounded as he was led into the sun room by Ryoken. Music which was whispered in a silvery voice played from a speaker, inviting them closer. The smell of breakfast was cooking nearby from the adjoining kitchen. He heard Aso’s voice call out good morning above the sound of sizzling eggs and bacon, a waft of maple syrup and something else sweet, too, like pancake batter.
“Good morning, sleepyhead.” Kyoko teased Spectre as she and Dr. Genome waited by the tree.
“Indeed, probably the first child in existence to wake up well after the sun has risen on Christmas Day.” Dr. Genome mused, stroking his chin.
“Well, um…” Spectre fumbled to explain his circumstances but he found himself at a loss for words, he was staring at the tree.
Both adults and Ryoken picking up exactly on his thoughts.
“We wanted to surprise you since its our first Christmas together, do you like it?” Kyoko asked.
“Yeah, it’s, um, really…” Spectre continued to fumble in his awe.
“I thought it was a waste of time, personally,” Dr. Genome added coldly and yet, in his own way, knew exactly how to diffuse Spectre’s shyness, “we don’t normally celebrate Christmas but the soft-touches insisted. So, you better enjoy or there won’t be one next year.”
Spectre giggled. Dr. Genome’s more abrasive nature always amused him. Kyoko rolled her eyes and gave him a playful nudge - or jab - to the side. That, too, part of the comedy routine and banter they found themselves in.
“Ignore that grinch, you two.” Aso’s voice called out. “It is a pleasure to celebrate like that, heaven knows we need it.”
Ryoken nodded, lips pursed, in agreement to Aso.
“Do you want your present now or do you want to decorate the tree first?” Kyoko asked gently.
“I get a present?!” Spectre exclaimed.
“Of course. You're my best friend, of course you get a present.” Ryoken laughed.
Spectre blushed, his tummy squirmed. “I want the present first.” he admitted in a tiny voice.
“Alright, you two first. We’ll open ours after breakfast whilst you two decorate the tree.” Kyoko decided.
“Here you go.” Dr. Genome said.
He picked up a box and handed it to Spectre.
The tactile feel of the glittery paper was unusual on Spectre’s hands as he carefully admired the box, the yellow and silver wrapping, the twirly white ribbon. He gulped, gave it a shake and tried to guess or imagine what might be inside but he failed. He had never been given a gift like this, wrapped up so nicely and with something completely brand new inside. It was a lot for the little pauper.
   Unlike the prince beside him.
Ryoken, meanwhile, had no reverence for his present, tearing it open as soon as Kyoko handed it to him. It, too, was done up in the same paper and ribbons as Spectre’s but Ryoken was far more interested in what was inside to stop and admire the wrapping. The paper was clawed away, left in shreds that glittered on the floor as he revealed a toy which had some assembly required written on the box which featured an actor in a masked costume with plenty of pleather and latex.
“No way! This is the sword from Ranger Powers!” Ryoken gasped. That was the name of a television series that Ryoken was obsessed with, a tokusatsu aimed at tweens and teenagers rather than nine year old’s like him.
Encouraged, Spectre opened his present slowly and his eyes twinkled as the wrapping gave way to a boxed toy of his own.
“Pure Dandelion’s sceptre…” Spectre gasped as he recognised the magical girl anime weapon. He liked the anime a lot but had never dreamed he would ever see merchandise of it beyond strolls through a shopping mall with Kyoko or the others.
“I’m sure you two will have lots of fun chasing each other and bad guys this afternoon with these.” Dr. Genome laughed.
   “Can’t wait!” Ryoken grinned.
They had played similar games of chase and role-play using sticks so it would be nice to have something extra and more in-character to use. It would hopefully warm by the afternoon, too. Being on the beach, it didn’t snow but the chill of winter still pervaded outside the foggy windows of the sun room transformed into a cheery hearth.
“M-Me too.” Spectre replied feebly, his heart racing out of his chest as he brimmed with gratitude.
A pause, and then Aso’s voice, “Breakfast is ready.”
Spectre smiled, mouth watering and holding dearly onto the plastic wand encased in cardboard. He glanced through the room again, finally seeing a box of decorations for the tree and his excitement heightened further. This was only his first Christmas but he already knew it was going to be the best Christmas ever.

Happy Birthday!
There is a parade marching down the center of Gotham City, with music loud enough to rattle windows an startle car alarms into screeching wakefulness.
The media clamor is vicious and immediate, with the GCPD racing to quarantine the event as fast as possible.
Every channel is overtaken by frantic news casters urging everyone to get inside and stay inside until it's safe.
But really, is there such a thing as "safety" in Gotham city?
The parade marches on through bullets and barricades, leaving bloody smears across asphalt and concrete. The music swells, the pulsating downbeat in rhythm with the boom and thump of confetti cannons that spray the streets with pretty little paper stars. The wind blows most of them away, sure, but a horrible amount ends up stuck in the puddles of gore that used to be policemen making a mockery of their deaths in a way only the Joker knows best.
Speaking of... where is he?
At the head of the parade are several Clowns dressed in their best holding back feral beasts on massive chains. Hyenas with brightly painted faces yip and yowl, lunging at the ends of their leashes with maws splattered red red red. White tigers lope ever onwards with heavy saddles on their backs, and smaller Clowns astride them throwing candy here and there. There are lions too, lips pulled back into unnaturally smiles full of flat human teeth, their eyes brightly glowing green to match their fluffy manes
There's a fellow dressed like Beethoven sitting at an American Fotoplayer on a float dragged by two tremendous Strong Men playing the silliest tune known to man.
A great many other Clowns follow behind, marching in a band, handing out balloons or candy or shirts to any unlucky passerby commemorating this momentous occasion. There are jugglers, tumblers, a moving trapeze and high wire act.
Several troupes of Chuckle Scouts march with them, handing out free boxes of cookies and proudly displaying sashes full of brightly colored badges.
There are onlookers, lined up along the parade route with guns to their backs and tears in their eyes. They take the gifts they're offered, they smile for the cameras, they laugh when performers take prat falls or slip on banana peels. This is a jovial jubilous occasion and people must witness it, or else.
At the tail of the parade is a cake at least a story or two high covered in exactly 85 candles and gratuitous amounts of icing. When the parade stops at the end of its route, the music shifts from manic madcap whimsy to an almost wholesome rendition of 'happy birthday'. The cake and the parade are surrounded by the surviving members of the GCPD pointing guns at everyone that isn't a civilian. The Clowns seem unbothered by this and sing along to the music, pulling wrapped gifts out of nowhere in particular and offering them to the towering confection the way worshipers leave sacrifices at an altar.
The top of the cake trembles and wiggles and writhes before exploding into icing, the Clowns clap and cheer as their God appears at the top of the cake with his famous grin across his face. He's wearing a crown, holding a scepter, and wearing a sash that reads 'BIRTHDAY BOY' in big cursive letters. One of the cops fires on the Joker without hesitation, he gets his head blown off with a confetti cannon. The Joker doesn't seem to notice this disturbance and takes a bow, drinking in the attention of his audience.
"Thank you! Thank you! Y'know it's not every day I turn 85, so I plan to make tonight the best birthday bash I've ever had." Says Joker, dabbing at a tearful eye with a brightly colored hankie. The Clowns applaud him again. "This parade was a great start, but I have so much more in store for all of Gotham, and that lowlife cape wearing deadbeat who missed this whole thing." He looks dead into the nearest camera, eyes angry and wild his smile strained and sharp.
"Anywhoozles! I better wrap this up, this cake isn't going to eat itself after all and I have a gift for a certain someone that needs to be delivered."
The Clowns turn on cue to face the audience and the GCPD, the each take their gifts in one hand and pull the ribbons off with the other. The boxes explode into smoke and confetti that completely obscures the parade in a cloud of purple and green laughing gas that brings anyone not wearing a mask to their knees.
And when the smoke clears, the parade is gone.

Why Choose Wooden Sash Windows in London?
Tumblr media
Wooden sash windows have long been a staple of British architecture, particularly in London, where their classic elegance perfectly complements the city's historic charm. These windows are aesthetically pleasing and offer a range of practical benefits that make them an excellent choice for homeowners. This comprehensive guide will explore why wooden sash windows are an ideal choice for London homes, the different types available, and their unique features.
Understanding Wooden Sash Windows
Wooden sash windows are traditional windows that slide vertically or horizontally. They typically consist of two panels (sashes) that hold panes of glass. These windows have been popular in the UK for centuries, and their timeless design continues to be favoured by many homeowners, especially those looking to preserve the historical integrity of their properties.
Box Sash Windows
Box sash windows are the most traditional form of sash windows, characterized by their robust and durable design. The name "box sash" comes from the box-like frame in which the sashes slide up and down. These windows are often found in Georgian and Victorian homes, making them perfect for London's older properties.
Timber Sash Windows (Spring Sash)
Timber sash or spring sash windows are a modern variation of the traditional box sash. Instead of using weights and pulleys, these windows operate on a spring balance mechanism. This design allows for a slimmer frame and easier installation, making them popular for contemporary homes that still want to retain a classic look.
Slide and Tilt Wood Sash Windows (Easy Clean Windows)
Slide and tilt wood sash windows, often called easy clean windows, offer a modern twist on the traditional sash window design. These windows can be tilted inward, allowing for easy cleaning of both the interior and exterior surfaces. This feature is particularly beneficial for properties in London, where maintaining the appearance of windows can be challenging due to pollution and weather conditions.
Casement Windows
Casement windows are a hybrid design that combines traditional sash window aesthetics with modern casement window functionality. They offer the best of both worlds, providing the classic look of sash windows while allowing for wider openings and better ventilation.
Fire Escape Windows
Fire escape sash windows are designed with safety in mind. These windows are built to meet specific fire safety regulations, allowing for a quick and easy escape route in an emergency. In London, where building regulations are strict, having fire escape windows can provide peace of mind for homeowners.
The 4 Different Types of Wooden Sash Windows
When choosing wooden sash windows for your London home, it's essential to understand the different types available. Each type offers unique features and benefits, making finding the perfect fit for your property more accessible.
Type 1: Traditional Wooden Box Sash Windows
Overview: Traditional wooden box sash windows are the most iconic type, often seen in historic homes across London. These windows consist of two vertically sliding sashes within a box frame. The sashes are counterbalanced by weights connected by cords, allowing for smooth and effortless operation.
Benefits:
Aesthetic Appeal: Traditional box sash windows are known for their timeless elegance, making them a perfect match for period properties.
Durability: Made from high-quality timber, these windows are built to last and can be repaired or refurbished to extend their lifespan.
Energy Efficiency: When fitted adequately with modern seals and glazing, box sash windows can offer excellent thermal insulation, helping to reduce energy costs.
Drawbacks:
Maintenance: The cords and weights can require maintenance over time, and the windows may need regular painting or varnishing to protect the timber.
Cost: Traditional box sash windows may be more costly due to the materials and craftsmanship involved.
Type 2: Spring Sash Windows
Overview: Spring sash windows are a modern evolution of the traditional box sash design. Instead of a weight and pulley system, these windows use a spring balance mechanism to hold the sashes in place. This allows for a slimmer frame and easier installation.
Benefits:
Slimmer Profile: The lack of a box frame allows for a more streamlined appearance, which can benefit homes with limited space around the window openings.
Ease of Use: The spring mechanism provides smooth and consistent operation, making opening and closing the windows easier.
Cost-Effective: Spring sash windows are often more affordable than traditional box sash windows due to the more straightforward mechanism and reduced material costs.
Drawbacks:
Less Authentic: For homeowners looking to maintain the historical accuracy of their property, spring sash windows may not be as authentic as traditional box sash windows.

A titan of local industry
By Jonathan Monfiletto
Tumblr media
Penn Yan – like many small towns across the Finger Lakes region, and perhaps like many towns small and large across the United States of America, in the days before globalization – has boasted many industries and manufacturers throughout its history. Not many of these factories, however, can boast of itself as a 100-plus-year institution – in different forms – in the community, but the company known as Walker Bin or Walkerbilt can do so.
The company best known as Walkerbilt, which stood in its final days on North Avenue in a building where Mozaic (a merger of Arc of Seneca Cayuga and Arc of Yates) is now situated, can trace its roots to 1870 and a sawmill and lumberyard run by Charles Welles. The operation produced lumber from logs and planed them for carpenters’ use, later adding woodworking machines and milling services. The operation also began providing factory fabrication used in building homes; until factories made such items, wood products were made by craftsmen on the premises as they built buildings. The craftsman did it with hand tools; the factories made them with power tools. M.B. Miller eventually took over the business, and then it came into the hands of John Shepherd.
Tumblr media
In 1890, William M. Patterson acquired the business and continued to improve it and strengthen it. The year 1900, though, marked the point at which it became most familiar to students of Yates County history. That year, Patterson became acquainted with E.J. Walker, a Philadelphia merchant who had invented a store merchandising system and created the Walker Patent Pivoted Bin Company. Walker developed a special type of bin designed to be self-counterbalancing so it was easier to open and shut, and he had started to build these bins in a factory in Camden, New Jersey. Instead, Walker and Patterson combined their resources and began working together in Penn Yan as the Walker Bin Company.
Tumblr media
The company officially started in 1909 and moved its operation to Lake Street – where Patterson had been conducting his sash, door, and blind factory – the following year. Walker Bin thrived; a couple of undated newspaper articles – likely from the 1910s – document the company moving its main office from Philadelphia to Penn Yan and breaking ground on additions to its building to expand its footprint, its operation, and its workforce. In a 1914 newspaper article, the company was praised both for its economic and social contributions to the community and its trademark product that streamlined the work of the retail industry. Walker Bin announced another expansion to its buildings and operations in 1924, and it also took over the former Commercial Iron Works property for its lumber yard.
The Great Depression, changes in merchandising practices, and the rise of chain stores all combined to turn the tide of the company’s fortunes. On January 1, 1934, the newspaper reported Walker Bin filed for bankruptcy. Within a few months, though, four workers revived the company under the name Walkerbilt and developed new products for the mill, specializing in woodwork for new central schools during the 1930s. When World War II arrived, the company turned to making products for war use, such as shell boxes, ammunition crates, and wooden truck body parts. Just as quickly, Walkerbilt shifted back to civilian production after the war with counters, shelving, tables, and special wood millwork for large and small buildings.
In 1948, the company incorporated was Walkerbilt Woodwork Inc., and it thrived in its buying and selling of materials used it homes, commercial buildings, farm buildings, and other construction. These products included lumber, cement, windows, doors, roofing, paint, glass, eavestrough, hardware, and more. Walkerbilt also manufactured store fixtures – including its trademark line of Walker Bins – radio cabinets, industrial wood parts, and custom woodwork.
Once again, as in its early years, Walkerbilt thrived; in 1960, it was reported the company added the manufacture of library equipment – with the law and medical libraries at the State Education Department building in Albany as examples of the local firm’s work – to its existing emphasis on millwork for hospitals and schools. In February 1964, Walkerbilt – along with other Yates County industries – reported an optimistic outlook for the year ahead, announcing it had a banner year in 1963 as it expanded its manufacture of library equipment with a focus on universities.
Nearly two years later, Walkerbilt – which at that point employed 108 people – announced it would move from its longtime Lake Street location to a then-to-be-announced location, still within Penn Yan village limits, as part of the village’s urban renewal plan that targeted the section of Lake Street between Main and Liberty streets. In November 1965, it was noted the company was plagued by financial difficulty because of the antiquated condition of its factory. In June 1969, the contract to construct the new facility on North Avenue was awarded to Iversen Construction Corp. of Gorham, with construction expected to begin in July and finish in March 1970.
Indeed, in June 1971, Walkerbilt both commemorated its centennial in business as part of Penn Yan’s industrial community and dedicated its modern building and state-of-the-art equipment. However, as much as the celebration brought good feelings to the company, its workforce, and the community, it didn’t seem to bring financial prosperity; just 18 months later – in January 1973 – Walkerbilt filed for bankruptcy and suggested it may seek a merger in order to provide financial stability. And that was the end of the story for Walkerbilt.
About a year later, in January 1974, Kilt Associates – a Rochester-based producer of school equipment – announced it had purchased Walkerbilt and revived the company’s millwork operations. However, within a few months in the spring and summer of 1974, the Heywood-Wakefield Furniture Company purchased the former Walkerbilt factory from Kilt and planned to begin production of maple bedroom furniture in August. In turn, in May 1979, it was announced the Heywood Wakefield plant would be sold to General Mills Inc., which produced lines of furniture in cherry, oak, and pine and upholstery goods under its Pennsylvania House subsidiary. The Penn Yan plant specialized in beds, tables, chests, and pieces in pine and oak for Pennsylvania House.
Pennsylvania House celebrated its 10th anniversary in business in Penn Yan in July 1989 with a tent sale for its employees and an open house for the community. The following February, however, the corporate office announced it would close the Penn Yan factory and move the production to its other factories around the country. And with that announcement came the true end to a titan of local industry for Penn Yan and Yates County.

Affordable Yet Durable: Benefits of uPVC Windows.
uPVC Windows
If you're looking for a high-quality uPVC sash window company in London, then you're in luck. uPVC windows are a popular choice among homeowners and businesses alike, as they offer superior performance and durability over other materials. These windows come with various benefits such as energy efficiency, ease of maintenance and cost savings.
Advantages: Cost, Durability
Sash windows are a traditional and elegant feature in many older homes. However, they are often associated with high costs and maintenance requirements. Fortunately, affordable uPVC sash window cost has made these stylish windows accessible to more homeowners than ever before.
uPVC sash windows offer numerous advantages over their traditional wooden counterparts, including superior durability. Unlike wood, uPVC does not rot or warp over time, making it a low-maintenance option that can last for decades with minimal upkeep. This durability also makes uPVC sash windows an excellent investment for homeowners who want to increase the value of their property without having to replace their windows every few years.
Another major advantage of affordable uPVC sash window cost is its affordability.
Insulation Benefits: How an Affordable uPVC Sash Window Can Save You Money
When it comes to home insulation, most people think of thick walls and double-glazed windows. However, there is a lesser-known option that can be just as effective: uPVC sash windows. These affordable windows are made from a plastic material that offers excellent thermal insulation properties. They can help to reduce heat loss and keep your home warm during the colder months, which translates into lower energy bills.
uPVC sash windows are also highly durable and require very little maintenance over their lifespan. Their sturdy construction means they can withstand harsh weather conditions without cracking or warping. Moreover, they offer superior sound insulation compared to their wooden counterparts, making them ideal for homes located near busy roads or noisy areas.
Design Options: Choosing the Best uPVC Sash Window Design for Your Home
uPVC sash windows are a popular choice among homeowners due to their durability, energy efficiency, and low maintenance needs. These windows come in various designs that cater to different architectural styles and personal preferences. Whether you’re building a new home or renovating your existing one, understanding your design options is crucial in achieving an aesthetically pleasing and functional window system.
One of the most popular uPVC sash window designs is the traditional box sash window, also known as vertical sliding windows. This classic design features two framed panes that slide vertically on tracks with counterweights attached to cords or chains hidden inside the frame. Box sash windows are perfect for period properties and Georgian or Victorian-style homes because they provide an elegant look while maintaining authenticity. Another option worth considering is the contemporary tilt-and-turn style.
Maintenance Requirements
Maintaining uPVC sash windows is essential for ensuring their longevity and preventing costly repairs. uPVC sash windows are durable and long-lasting, but they still require proper maintenance to keep them in top condition. The first step in maintaining your uPVC sash windows is to clean them regularly with a mild detergent and warm water. This will help remove dirt, dust, and other debris that can accumulate on the frames.
Another important aspect of maintaining your uPVC sash windows is checking for any damage or wear and tear. Over time, seals can become damaged or worn down, which can lead to drafts and energy loss. It's important to inspect the seals around your window frames regularly to ensure they are functioning properly.
Finally, it's important to lubricate the moving parts of your uPVC sash windows periodically. This includes hinges, locks, and handles.
Environmental Impact
As the world becomes increasingly conscious of environmental impact, many homeowners are looking for ways to make their homes more eco-friendly. One option that has gained popularity in recent years is uPVC sash windows. These windows are made from a type of plastic called unplasticized polyvinyl chloride or uPVC, which is known for its durability and energy efficiency.
One of the biggest advantages of uPVC sash windows when it comes to environmental impact is their energy efficiency. These windows have excellent insulation properties, which means they can help keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer without relying on excessive heating or air conditioning. This not only reduces your carbon footprint but can also save you money on your energy bills in the long run.
Another way uPVC sash windows contribute to a more sustainable future is through their longevity.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the need for greater public awareness of climate change cannot be overstated. Taking action now to reduce carbon emissions, conserve resources, and promote sustainability will help to ensure a better future for generations to come. Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our time, but with collective effort and determination, we can create a better tomorrow. Education is essential to encourage people to take action and become more aware of their environmental impact.

Hi! Could I get the dorm leaders with a fem!S/O who gets a lot of attention, chocolates and gifts on valentine’s (being the only girl at NRC)? have a good day!
Dorm Leaders + Valentine Jealousy
Just funny, cute scenarios that was really enjoyable to write even though I'm like... 2 months late?? Yeah, forgive me for that.
Cut for length, and some light cussing in the later scenarios.
Malleus Draconia
He put so much effort into preparing a special Valentine's picnic for his beloved. He wanted to surprise you, and by the time he ordered Sebek and Silver to call you to him, they brought him displeasing news.
"Um... Senior YN is caught up!" Sebek reported. Usually, he'd be enthusiastic to share news to his precious Master, but the way those two held back was suspicious.
"Pray tell what those cretins are doing to my YN?" He inquired, his magic seeping from his fingertips.
"Well… giving her Valentine's gifts…" Sebek admitted. "We found her in the courtyard but there were quite a few students from different dorms."
"Sebek, we reported to Malleus because those said students wouldn't move when you yelled 'Move away from Malleus-sama's spouse'," Silver chided. "Despite Senior YN looking like she wanted to escape."
"Move, both of you."
Malleus' rage was more than they anticipated. Lilia, as observant as he usually is, brought the two boys behind his back and let Malleus shift into his dragon form. Lilia simply waved at Malleus, encouraging her more. "Remember Malleus! You're not allowed to burn people! And don't worry about your picnic; we'll bring all the food and preparations!"
Times like this, he was eternally grateful to someone like Lilia. He shifted to his much smaller form, about a fifth of the size of his actual dragon size and took flight. He knew other students would run away, but most importantly of all if it were reported you could easily say that the dragon was your bonded creature. Which, when you think about it, is a decent white lie.
Needless to say, the appearance of the dragon scared away the boys who tried to present their gifts to you, dropping them in fear. Those who ran too late witnessed the dragon's claws snatch up the angelic Senior YN LN away, however they could not see where the dragon took her for the dragon's wings caused the wind to sweep the remaining students off their feet.
He felt a little guilty that you yelped when you saw him, but as he flew, he settled you into his claws much more comfortably.
The moment he landed, his beloved stared directly in wonder into his eyes. He cooed at how small you were next to him and how curious you were of him. It didn't take long before you reached out to his head, asking him, "Tsunotarou? Are you my Tsunotarou?"
His heart melted at his nickname, further nuzzling his nose to your palm. His purring was quite loud, and he plopped his head onto your lap. He was careful not to shift his weight as to not crush you.
"Malleus...why did you do that?" You patted his head, still wondering why you were whisked away. "Were you a little jealous?"
The dragon form of his nudged his nose to you again in agreement. He had never felt jealousy in this way before.
"Malleus… You're the only one who's my Valentine." You spoke. "And I won't spend the day with anyone else besides you."
He shifted out of his dragon form to his much acceptable humanoid form. Malleus, out of his love for you, couldn't help but hug you. He admitted his Valentine's plan for you, especially since he knew how much you anticipated the celebration.
Things were made clear, and you accepted Malleus' apology. He dolled you up a little, calling the flowers to decorate themselves delicately in your hair.
He kissed the soft flesh of your cheek, sitting you on his lap. "Happy Valentine's Day, my precious YN."
Riddle Rosehearts
If the Heartsyabul dorm thought they fully witnessed Riddle's rage, they were sorely mistaken. It was made crystal clear to the students of the Heartsyabul dorm to follow the rule of not harrassing the dorm leader's partner.
It was clear that the point was not received to other ignorant students.
"And what do you think you’re doing?"
The students were immediately caught off guard by the ice chilling voice of the notorious Heartsyabul dorm leader. The boys surrounding you immediately scattered, leaving you with multitudes of presents and chocolates at your feet.
Riddle didn't want to admit it, but the boxes of presents surrounding your being made look as spoilt as you can be.
No, this won't do he thought. He could spoil you better than those group of boys.
"Ace, Deuce, take away the presents," He commanded. The two had no choice but to obey, although Trey did have a look at the chocolates gifted, possibly thinking about using some of them for Riddle's desserts.
He sauntered over to his beloved, taking her hand in his and kissing the top of it. "Not to fear, YN. I hope not a single one of them touched you," He murmured. Before continuing his jealous thoughts, he properly spoke to you, "YN, I asked Cater to deliver a dress to your dorm. I hope you find it pleasing to wear, as later tonight we have a date for ourselves!"
You did find the dress pleasing enough that you would wear it to your date. You knew Riddle was someone who would go all out for Valentine's, especially seeing how he made his affections known. The dress reminded you a little of his red formal wear, and you found the card play motifs on the sash of the dress adorable. Although... You had to admit that you were a little scared if Riddle used his magic unnecessarily for your sake.
Riddle didn't anticipate how much of a worrywart he actually was. He dressed to the best of his abilities, making sure to adjust his tie every so once in a while.
Whatever preparations he calculated and adjusted for flew straight out of the window once he saw you.
He allowed you to walk to him, and once you two met eyes, he got on one knee, kissing your palm.
"My precious Queen… Happy Valentine's Day…"
Kalim Al-Asim
Kalim himself didn't realise you were in peril, but he did feel an inkling of jealousy seeing some boys get close to you. Despite all that, he didn't worry a single bit.
For Kalim was going to outdo every. Single. One of them.
"YN-senpai! Please accept this!" A freshman bowed deeply, handing a plain looking love letter. You graciously accepted it, however, all you could do was sit it on top of your precarious pile of presents the past day. All you wanted to do was visit Kalim…
"Eh? I'm sure my gift is the best!"
Sounds of trumpets were heard, and then and there the crowd made way for the dorm leader of Scarabia. The remaining students were shooed away, much to their annoyance. Kalim however only wore a grin as he presented you with a bouquet and a box of chocolates.
A servant nearby bowed to him, and Kalim quickly uttered his order, "Take the flowers and donate them to the Gardening club. As for the chocolates, distribute them to the servants!" He cheerfully ordered, as if the students surrounding the two didn't exist. Gasps of shock and horror were sounded, but Kalim didn't care anyway.
Over Kalim's shoulder, you could see Jamil staring down any potential students possibly trying to pick a fight with Kalim. Although, knowing Jamil, he was doing this for the sake of Kalim being occupied for the rest of the week.
You were delighted to see your boyfriend coming to rescue and you didn't mind his extravagance so much. The only part of the whole scenario you'd be embarrassed about is that some students witnessed Kalim's romantic affections, which… you'd prefer to have your romantic endeavours in a private setting.
The way Kalim tugged your hand along… He was upset and you knew it.
"Kalim… I'm sorry I didn't expect-"
He stopped tugging you along to the Scarabia dorm. You were surprised the moment Kalim hugged you.
"YN… it's not your fault…" He said, patting your head. "Sorry for acting so jealous. I just… really wanted to impress you."
You hugged him back. "Thank you Kalim."
Azul Ashengrotto
Azul felt his heart wrench at the scene of you being confronted by a group of boys adorning you in presents and flowers. He wasn't so sure about giving you his Valentine's letter and present, feeling as if the other students outdid him. Usually, he wouldn't let this kind of thing slide, but... he felt as if it were his fault.
Usually, the other students won't spare a glance towards you, but he had guessed a lot of boys crushed hard that night you sang in the Lounge. Jade and Floyd thought it would be a good way to cheer him up, and Azul himself couldn't deny... He loves your singing so much.
This, however, didn't discern Octavinelle dorm leader Azul Ashengrotto from telling off said students.
"Take your tomfoolery somewhere else."
Murmurs of "Oh shit, it's the dorm leader." and groans came from the other students surrounding you. Azul saw you breathe out a sigh of relief that some of the students left you alone.
He could still see some lingering around. Well, they should surely know better than to disobey his orders on his turf...
"Jade, Floyd, escort them out please."
Azul brought you closer to him. "I'm sorry for not approaching soon, Angelfish."
You shook your head, telling Azul how much you appreciated his help.
"Actually... I never intended to accept their gifts. The presents simply piled up," You said. "If anything, I'd only accept your present!"
Azul stammered, his cheeks flushing to a deep pink. "H-How... How are you so adorable...”?
He regained his composure, hurrying you to sit on the couch. Then and there, he presented you his Valentine's letter. Your heart warmed at how he decorated it so delicately, and his signature never fails to enchant you.
The other half of his gift was an intricately designed parfait presented in a glass. He did the honours of feeding you a spoonful. The moment you finished that spoonful, you heard out the secret.
"It's a new dessert for the Lounge. And I'd like to name it Angelfish Parfait."
Idia Shroud
Idia Shroud was a man who swore to never venture out but mind you he has ears and eyes everywhere. Despite all the commotion around you, especially with the line of students ready to approach you with gifts, you somehow kept a cool head about it.
You didn't spare a glance to the other students, ignoring any other student that try to block your way. You simply walked past them, disregarding their mere existence.
In your perspective, you weren't being rude at all. In fact, you thought whoever stood in your way was rude because of your agenda… and the main event of the day was not exactly Valentine's Day, but your precious date with your precious boyfriend.
Idia wasn't irked by the extravagance of some of the students' presents to you.
After all, he could just buy you the best version of the same thing.
Not to say you were completely materialistic, he just wanted to prove a point to those other guys. He trusted that you were capable… But he couldn't let you handle all of it by yourself. He had to help out too.
He, out of all the dorm leaders, is the one who gets annoyed around Valentine's Day due to the constant attention you get. Sure, he'll proudly admit how pretty you are, but anyone else better keep their hands away.
A group still followed to the entrance of the Ignihyde dorm, and for once in his life, he willingly stepped.
It was one foot out of the dorm doors, but hey, it's a lot for him.
"You're not invited. Leave."
As if his chilly dead voice didn't warn them enough, the traps around the entrance targeted themselves to anyone who wasn't you. The students quickly left, scurrying away. The laser-looking machinery was enough for some of the students to piss their pants.
Your cheeks felt warm. "Idia… You were so cool there."
Once he shut the door, it was his turn for his face to redden. "W..What? You were the cool one shrugging all of those… bugs off of you." He admitted. "Besides, those normies ruined our video game date."
"It's not ruined yet," You said, tugging Idia's hoodie on his head, pecking him on the cheek. "Thank you Idia. Now let's continue that RPG you were telling me about yesterday."
"Mmh! …Love you, YN."
Leona Kingscholar
What was this? Some worthless students want to pick a fight with the top predator? Sure, why not. Leona wouldn't mind beating them to a pulp.
There wouldn't be a crowd surrounding you on Valentine's. Those brave enough would slip gifts at the Ramshackle Dorm or on your desk, but they would never dare give it in person unless they wish to not exist.
Leona was walking you back from class, which is generally a big achievement since he's awake.
"Did any punks approach you today?"
You were typically blunt with him. "No, but I got some presents on my desk. Grim took care of them."
You could hear your boyfriend huff in annoyance. "Some idiots don't realise we're in a relationship…"
You decided to poke fun at him a little. After all, he was only reminded this morning that today was Valentine's Day.
"Well, if only you'd be more open about your wooing, if you call it that," You teased.
Before you two could return back to the Savanaclaw dorm, a group of students blocked off your path.
"Enough is enough Kingscholar!"
"Yeah! You shouldn't monopolise YN-senpai's time like that!"
"Give us a fair shot!"
Leona had to hunch himself over from laughing at how stupid these students were. You kept silent, but you did pinch Leona's elbow to warn him about beating them up in a public place.
"You seriously want those to be your dying words?"
You could only facepalm the moment you heard Leona threaten them. Why did Valentine's always have to end this way? Well… the least that could happen is that you get to cuddle with Leona for the night.
Vil Schoenheit
As you, YN were a part of the Photography Club, you surely got a whole lot of attention as you had to travel here and there for the school's news report. You garnered a lot of positive attention from a great deal of the students, but you'd never approach them with intentions of forming a relationship.
After all, you were dating Vil Schoenheit of all people.
You did try to be courteous as possible, thanking some students who gave you gifts and cards during class. You weren't about to cause any ill-will against anybody, and you were sure that you could get rid of them later…
"Ara? What are these worthless beasts doing around my precious YN?"
Vil's presence was one thing, but his threatening voice was another. Vil stood tall, looming over you, and taking your hand in his, shielding you behind him. Through Vil's gaze, the students who were bold enough to present their gifts quickly shuffled to your desk, retrieving back whatever they planned to give.
You were taken aback by Vil's attitude if anything. He'd never act like this, despite what some might believe. That was when you knew he was genuinely angry.
You couldn't blame him much, since the students caused you to be late for your meeting with Vil. You two had planned to dress up and go out to a town district for the weekend of Valentine's. You had guessed that Vil was also a little pissy since he hadn't seen you in a long time.
After arriving at Vil's room, you tried your best to reach your boyfriend's cheek, transferring a kiss from your palm to his cheek. "I know you're a little angry, but our plans aren't completely ruined."
Vil shrugged off his uniform coat, venting out his frustrations. "I know, but it's supposed to be a special day for you," He said. He muttered under his breath as he had you sit still for him to style your hair. "If anything, they're the ones stealing your time from me…"
You turned to look at him despite his instructions. "I've never seen you so adorably jealous."
The colour of his cheeks bloomed a pink hue. "W-Well, of course my sweet potato," He said. "They need to be taught a lesson and you, my sweet potato, should sit still otherwise I'll never be done with your hair."
You let Vil do his magic, literally and figuratively, on your hair. Once he was done, you hugged him tight, "Thank you Vil, for what's about to come and for before too."
He patted your head. "Anything for you, YN."

quick dont think abt an au where marcy ended up moving away from los angeles and amphibia never happened
dont think about marcy being disappointed abt the box not working and then hating themself for hoping it would work in the first place
dont think about marcy not telling anne or sasha abt moving away til the last second. abt how he just wouldnt be able to bring himself to talk abt it or bring it up. or how theyd hype themself up and try to force himself to just tell them, but couldnt.
dont think abt marcy planning something epic for his last full day in LA, working out an awesome, fun-filled, perfect day to try to make the most out of their last moments with their friends. dont think abt anne and sasha thinking abt how odd marcys been acting or how its strange how… desperate marcy seems today, but brushing it off.
dont think about marcy making every excuse to stretch out the day, trying to stay with his friends for just a couple more hours, another half hour, a few more minutes. how theyd scramble for more things to do and run out of reasons to continue.
dont think abt anne or sash saying they have to go soon because theyve been out for too long and they need to get back before curfew or their parents are gonna worry. dont think abt marcy begging them to stay for just a bit longer, but they just cant stay anymore, sorry
dont think abt marcy breaking and blurting out that “IM MOVING TOMORROW” and this is their last chance to hang out together. or abt the silence that follows
dont think abt the three of them cuddling together during a last-minute sleepover. dont think abt the drying tears lingering on their cheeks
dont think about them waking up early the next day bc “my parents wanna leave early so we can get to the new place before it gets late” and sasha and anne waiting at the doorstep as the wus pack up
dont think abt their final goodbyes. or their final hugs. dont think abt marcy diving into their arms and making annes shirt wet with tears and mumbling how he doesnt wanna leave and theyll miss them and they dont wanna lose them. dont think abt sasha being a bit awkward but trying her best, or anne comforting marcy as best as she can but breaking into tears soon after
dont think abt the group hug lasting for too long. or abt marcys parents calling him saying its time to go. dont think abt the whisper of “i dont wanna let go”
dont think abt anne and sasha watching the wus finally pile into the car. abt marcy trying to pretend theyre not bawling his eyes out, being ashamed abt crying so much.
dont think abt the car pulling out of the driveway as anne sasha and marcy lock eyes through the car window. how marcy holds their gaze for as long as he can from the back seat.
dont think abt anne running after the car, calling out marcys name. or sasha running after her. dont think abt marcy pressed up against the glass, watching as her friends slowly shrink into the background.
dont think abt anne finally stopping as sasha catches up. dont think abt how they can only chase after a moving car for so long.
and dont think abt marcys car turning onto the main road, falling out of sight. gone for good

Just Short of Forever [Spencer x Fem!Reader]
Tumblr media
Thank you to the lovely Anon who gave me this idea: maybe spencer or reader is about to get married to someone else, and they have a sort of runaway bride situation. they realize they have feelings for their ex (being spencer/reader) and they realize they can't get married.
Please feel free to send me ideas/requests!
CW - none really, mild angst but mostly fluff.
WC: 2.6K
Once upon a moonlit October, Spencer Reid met the love of his life and promised her forever. But their forever didn’t come. Call it fate, call it destiny; call it what you will, but their forever was cut short.
Somewhere along the line they lost their way. Their “I love yous” became “I’m sorry’s”, their laughter turned to tears. Warm smiles became cold. Hello’s evolved into goodbyes.
Five years was not forever. But you would always carry a piece of each other in your heart. You were each other’s first and strongest loves.
But life had other plans for you both.
***
The music blasting from the speakers stung your ears like a thousand tiny pin pricks. The alcohol in your system was enough to dull the boisterous crowd but not enough to stop the assault of the music on your eardrums.
You excused yourself from your group of friends, having to shout to be heard and pushed your way through the throngs to the front door of the bar.
You gasped, desperate for the fresh air of the crisp March evening to fill your lungs. There were a few people on the sidewalk smoking and conversing and the odd car passed by but other than that the street was quiet.
Just what you needed.
You pulled your cell phone from your purse to check your messages. You smiled to see some from him. You opened them to read them, just a voice came from behind you.
“Excuse me, miss? I think you dropped this.”
You froze instantly at the voice. It had to have been nearing three years since you’d last heard it, but you knew that articulation no matter how many years it had been.
“I guess this is it then.” He stepped into the corridor, the box cradled in his arms.
“I guess so.” You agreed with a sad nod.
“I hope you find what you’re looking for.”
“I hope you do too.” You chewed your lip determined not to cry. Not yet.
“Goodbye Y/N.”
“Goodbye Spencer.”
You slowly turned around and your eyes met. Those hazel eyes gazed back at you, the ones you’d fallen in love with all those years ago.
His face noticeably fell when he realised it was you. You saw his Adam’s apple bob deliciously beneath the soft flesh of his neck as he swallowed. His hand was held out with your keys in his open palm. You must have dropped them when you got out your phone.
“Hi Spencer.” You breathed with a shaky smile. You stepped a little closer and cautiously took the keys. “Thanks.”
“Y/N, hi.” He swallowed again, his voice low and croaky. “I didn’t recognise you from behind. You changed your hair.”
“Yeah.” You nodded. You had no idea what to say to him. You never thought you’d see him again and now he was here in front of you there were so many things you wanted to say but nothing that seemed appropriate.
You watched his eyes regard you, from your too high heels to your skimpy dress. You never dressed like this when you were with him.
His glance faltered when he reached your chest, but not for the reasons you would think.
You saw his eyes widen slightly, and you swore you saw tears brimming in them.
“Oh wow,” he choked as he spoke. “I guess congratulations are in order.” He pointed at your sash, the one that told him in large gold letters you were the “Bride To Be.”
You followed his gaze down to the sash, you’d forgotten all about it. You ran your fingers over it absentmindedly.
“Uh...yeah.” You muttered. “Thanks.”
“When’s the big day?” There was a twinge of jealousy to his tone, combined with a hint of bitterness.
“Uhm...two weeks Friday.”
“Wow.” He gnawed heavily on his lip, he swore he tasted blood. “That’s uhm...I don’t know.”
“Yeah.” You didn’t know what to say. What could you say?
“Actually,” he spoke again, his voice now restoring some punch. “I do know. It’s...it’s...horrible. It’s awful, it’s completely and utterly-”
“Y/N!”
Spencer was cut off by your best friend and maid of honour poking her head out of the bar and calling your name.
“They’re playing our song!”
“I’ll be right there!” You called back, attempting a smile.
She smiled back and soon disappeared back inside.
“Sorry I have to go. Thanks for finding my keys.” You went to walk past him, not being able to look at him anymore without risking tears.
As you did so, you felt a strong hand clasp around your wrist stopping you.
You turned back to Spencer, shaking him off you.
“What? You have more to say?” You folded your arms across your chest in frustration.
“Do you love him?” He surprised you with his forwardness.
“Of course I love him. I wouldn’t be marrying him if I didn’t.”
“Let me rephrase that then.” He stepped closer to you and you caught his scent in your nose. You’d never been able to describe the way he smelt, it was an aroma that was simply Spencer.
“Do you love him more than you loved me?”
Now that was the million dollar question. Honestly you knew the answer to that. You’d known since the first time you met Spencer you would never love anyone the way you loved him. But you weren’t willing to tell him that.
“I’m not answering that.” You shook your head and turned on your heels. “Goodbye Spencer.”
“We could have had it all!” He called after you, but you kept walking.
“Goodbye Spencer.” You repeated as you threw the door to the bar open and vanished.
Spencer was left staring at the space you had just occupied.
He should have been over you by now. He thought he was over you. But then you’d been standing in front of him and he’d fallen all over again the moment he glanced in your eyes.
Knowing you were getting married tore his heart in two. Your break up had been mutual, it just hadn’t worked out but that didn’t stop him loving you.
“It should have been me.” He whispered to himself as he turned and headed back down the street. “It should have been me.”
***
The sun was shining, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It went some way to dulling your nerves. But they were still there, bubbling under the surface.
You’d thought of nothing but Spencer and those brooding eyes since your bachelorette party. Truthfully, he’d been on your mind since the day you broke up but over time he’d faded to a distant memory. Now he was back with full force.
You’d still been mourning your break up with Spencer when you’d met Tristan, your soon to be husband.
The wound was still fresh, open and gaping and you’d thought Tristan would be a great distraction from the pain. Somehow over two years past you by and when Tristan proposed to you, you found yourself saying yes.
You did love him, just not the way you’d loved Spencer. The love you had for Spencer had been new and exciting, something you’d never experienced before. It had swept you off your feet and turned your whole world upside down.
Your body ached for him when he was away on a case and every time he returned and pulled you into his arms, the feeling overwhelmed you.
The door opened and you immediately leapt up from the couch. Spencer looked exhausted as he stepped across the threshold, but as soon as he locked eyes on you his face lit up.
“Spence!” You fell into his arms immediately and buried your head into his chest. You inhaled his scent, that pure Spencer scent.
He wrapped you tightly and protectively in his arms.
“Y/N,” he breathed you in. “Gosh I missed you.”
“I missed you too baby.” You squeezed him.
“Not half as much as I missed you my love.”
The two of you stood in the doorway in a loving embrace for several minutes, neither ready to let the other go.
The two of you never felt safer and more at home than in each other’s arms.
You smoothed down your dress and took in your reflection, trying to shake all thoughts of your lost love.
Everything was in place. Your make-up was done, your hair was pinned perfectly in place and you were cinched in your dress.
You turned to the side and then the other side and you even managed to smile a little. You felt like a princess, that much was for certain. But was the man you were about to marry your prince?
You stepped over to the window where the gardens could be viewed. A winding path snaked between perfectly manicured bushes.
His black suit stood out against the greenery and you didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry.
You spun around, hoisting your dress up as you marched from the room. As you were heading down the stairwell a voice caught you.
“Y/N where are you going?” Your best friend.
You turned to look up to where she was standing up the top of the staircase.
“There’s something I need to take care of.” You told her vaguely.
“Well hurry up, the ceremony’s starting soon. You of all people can’t be late.” She laughed.
“This won’t take long, trust me.” And with that you carried on down the stairs.
You found the back entrance easily enough and shoved open the door.
He was wearing his best suit and tie and his hair was swept back off his face, you’d think it was his wedding day.
“Hi Y/N.” He smiled at you as you approached.
“Don't hi me Spencer. What the hell are you doing here?” You didn’t need to ask how he knew where you were getting married, he’d no doubt gotten his friend Penelope to find you.
He laughed a little and the sound made you go a little weak.
“It’s simple really,” he shrugged. “I’m here to tell you you’re marrying the wrong man.”
It was your turn to laugh now.
“Really Spencer? Where was this man three years ago? If I recall we wanted different things. So please enlighten me, why am I marrying the wrong man?” You didn’t have time for this, but you wanted to hear why he’d had the audacity to show up here today.
And maybe you wanted to see if he could convince you that you were marrying the wrong man.
“Because you don’t love him like you loved me. You don’t love him the way I’m pretty certain you still love me.”
“Nice try.” You scoffed. “I’ve got to go get married. Goodbye Spencer.” You turned away from him now and hoisted your dress again so you could make a quick exit back up the garden.
“You didn’t deny it.” Spencer’s words were smug and it irritated you enough to get you to turn back around.
“Didn’t think it was necessary.”
“I didn’t fight for you.” He stepped closer to you. “I didn’t fight for us. And maybe three years is too late. I know this isn’t ideal timing on my part but I’m here now and I’m ready to fight.”
“Spencer, our time has passed.”
“Do you remember our first date?”
You frowned, you really didn’t have time for this.
“Yes Spencer, of course I remember our first date.”
For October, the weather had been good to you. Spencer had taken you to the Smithsonian, you’d probably learnt more from him than anything the institution had to tell you.
Afterwards you’d gotten coffee and strolled through the DC streets for hours.
You chatted about everything, your jobs, your childhoods, what made you tick, music and movies and everything in between.
Somehow the sun had set and before you knew it you’d spent the whole day together.
“I have to say,” you glanced at him as you strolled towards your apartment. “This has been an excellent first date.”
“It has been, hasn’t it.” He smiled at you. “I might even go as far to say the best first date.”
You blushed as you came to a stop outside your building.
“Well this is me.” You shrugged shyly. You wanted him to kiss you, but you weren’t sure what he was thinking.
“Look, I’m not the “cool” guy. I don’t really know what is best practice on first dates and I could very well blow this before it’s even started…” he started, coming closer to you and taking hold of your hands. “But I have had an amazing day. And I just want you to know that if you want it, I’m standing here now promising you forever.”
You felt tears well in your eyes and a shiver passed up your spine at his words. The way he was looking at you was so different from the way anyone had ever looked at you before in your life.
“I’ll bear that in mind.” You smiled and closed the space between you and kissed him.
It was the kind of magical kiss that would live on in your memory for the rest of your life.
“I promised you forever.”
“You did.”
“And I meant it.” He stepped closer again, cautiously.
“Y/N!” You heard your name being yelled across the garden. You turned to see your bridesmaids in the doorway staring at you.
“What are you doing? We need to go!”
“Two minutes I promise!” You called back.
You waited for them to leave before you turned back to Spencer.
“I really need to go.”
“Please Y/N.” He took hold of your hands with an urgency of a man who knew this was do or die time. “I’m not this man Y/N, you know that. I’m not the kind of man that crashes someone's wedding and asks them to run away with me. But that’s how much I love you. I love you more than all the stars in the sky and I always will. So I am here, crashing your wedding and asking you to run away with me.”
Tears rolled down your cheeks all of a sudden. Maybe it’s all you’d wanted to hear from him. You’d waited to hear those words for five long years. But was he too late?
“Spencer,” you sniffed, chewing your lip. “I’m in a wedding dress. I am getting married today.”
“Why do you think I wore my best suit.” He grinned. “I’m not saying don’t get married today Y/N. I’m saying marry the right man. Marry me.”
“You want to marry me? Today?” You gave him a look as though you didn’t believe him.
He let go of one of your hands and reached into his jacket pocket. Seconds later he pulled out two tickets.
“Flights to Vegas. In one hour.” He shrugged. “I’m going, will you be there with me?”
“Are you for real right now?” More tears fell.
“I am very for real Y/N.” He laughed. “We can be married in a few hours. Please, let me make good on my promise. Will you be my forever?”
You looked at his eyes and then at the tickets and back again.
It was all you’d ever wanted, Spencer standing in front of you telling you he wanted to marry you.
And suddenly, the choice didn’t seem so hard.
“Yes Spencer Reid,” you smiled. “Yes I will be your forever.”
And with that you pulled him by the hand and the two of you started running. Running towards your future.
Your future that was always meant to be you and Spencer. He was your forever.

¤~°Scary Monsters! Screaming Halloween Show: Spooky Sweet°~¤
(Y/N) and Yuu felt the warmth of the sun on their backs as the two walk to Ramshackle. The two quiet as Grim chatters about on Yuu's shoulder. "Yuu, um.. Where exactly were you from before Twisted Wonderland?" The female dorm leader asked her vice dorm leader.
(Even though she thought Yuu would be suited much better as dorm leader.)
Yuu shrugs his shoulders lightly so Grim won't fall. His left hand and right hand carrying two bags, while (Y/N) carried the other bags with ease. "To be honest, I'm not really sure.. I don't really have time to think about it."
Yuu said plainly to (Y/N)'s question. The (h/c)-nette hummed in response. Not minding the young males simplistic wording. Instead she just smiled at him, "I'm from (Y/H), well... From what I remember."
She answered simply, like Yuu. "Huh. Really? I think I remember a place like that on the map, I don't think I've ever been there." (Y/N) (e/c) eyes widen, "maybe I could show you around if you ever visit! I think you would like it."
Yuu nods, smiling back at his crush. "Sure, I wouldn't mind." (Y/N) ruffled Yuu's head, his locks turning slightly messy. The male huffs at her antics as Grim laughs. "Sorry, couldn't help myself, you look cute when you pout. Kinda like Riddle!"
The female joked, Yuu only shakes his head as the two were finally on NRC grounds. Grim hops off Yuu shoulder and fly to Ramshackle without the two. Chanting that he wants to eat tuna. "Grim..!"
Yuu calls out to the furball, who didn't hear Yuu. "Fnga!! A monster!" Grim cries as a paper dragon was covering the Ramshackle grounds. Not seeing the students scattered around the area. Working diligently on decorating the whole place.
(Y/N)'s mouth turns into a excited grin, while Yuu looks at it confusingly. Not knowing of the spooky event they would soon participate in!
_______________________________________________
(Y/N) hears a knock on the Ramschakle dorm, curiously. She gets up from her spot on the couch and goes to open the door. Unlocking the front door, the female looks around the area. Not a single ghost, person, beastman, fae, in sight. Only a lonely brown package at the bottom of the floor.
(Y/N) picks up the box carefully and takes it inside. When walking to the lounge room, the three ghosts that lived in Rambschakle float down stairs to see what's up. (Y/N) sits back on the couch, with the average sized box sitting on her lap. "Did you three order something?" (Y/N) asked undead friends, the three shook their heads.
"I wonder what's in it?" One of three spoke up."Maybe it's something from the headmaster?" (Y/N) nods, "it could be.." She mutters quietly to herself.
(Y/N) opens the package with hesitation in each of her movements. A piece of (color) neatly folded fabric was in the box. "Huh?" Taking the fabric out, it reveals to be a lot more fabrics!?? (Y/N) and three ghosts look over the first piece of cloth and fabrics that had been in the box.
While the other colorful fabrics still sat at the bottom of the package. "Why is this here..?" (Y/N) asked, holding the (color) cloth up in front of three ghosts. "It must be left overs from the Diasomnia dorm!" The chubby ghost shouted in glee.
"Oh, right! It was probably for their costumes for the Halloween event!" The young female said, but was still puzzled. "Where did this even come from..?" "It came from the box," the smaller ghost said. "Right.. what I meant was, who sent it here?"
Pouring out the fabrics from the box to see if there was a note, or a price tag, nothing was there. "Strange.." The slinky ghost said as he rubbed his chin. (Y/N) could agree with that, but she was more drawn to the cloths scattered around on the couch. A idea pops in her head as she folds up the cloths and lays the dress on the couch.
"I think I got a idea on what to use this for. You three, please protect the stuff on the couch and watch over Yuu and Grim. I need to get some stuff from Mr. Sams shop!" (Y/N) ran out of Ramshackle and tried not to knock into the paper dragon that Senior Vanrouge and his other dorm members worked on.
Not seeing Yuu's confused stare from one of the Ramshackle window's. Once she had returned, she had a pumpkin in one hand. A bag in the other. "It's time to REALLY get into the spirit of Halloween!" (Y/N) placed the pumpkin on the counter and heads up stairs to Yuu/Grims room.
Not before taking the "mystery" box with her.
______________________________________________
It was finally Halloween week! The decorations and costumes were ready. The Halloween committee had decided to drop by Ramshackle to make sure everything was in order. "Wow, everything looks great!" Kalim said with enthusiasm as his ruby eyes shined.
Mallues turns a bit smug after Kalim priase. "Thank you, the Di dorm worked very hard on this." Lilia chuckles at the dorm leader and his haughty tone. Cater takes a few pics, while Deuce looks around. "Where's (Y/N), Yuu and Grim? Shouldn't they have met up with us now?"
"Maybe something came up?" Epel said, looking around the area as well. Vil sighs, "being fashionably late is not something you should do." Jack ears perk up as footsteps came towards the group. "I hear something, I think their on there way here."
Jack was most definitely right about that! Grim came to the group first before the dorm leaders. "Nyaha! Stare at the AMAZING Grim and his awesome costume!" The little feline shouted in pride and glee. His little hat tipping a bit.
"Grim! You're a ghost for Halloween?" Deuce questioned Grim, the furball gives a toothy grin. "Of course!" "What about the others.." Idia asks quietly.
A tired sigh escaped a familiar vice-prefect. Yuu showed a few steps behind Grim. "Hey guys, sorry for being late." Yuu apologized, yet the student didn't look exactly like himself at all! Yuu was dressed up today.
Yuu wore loose white shirt and a slightly grayish vest that had a tail coat attached behind him.The vest had small spider web designs that were a light shade blue, even some at the tail coats end. A pair of simple white pants and shoes. Yuu hair was rather messy, but looked very fluffy.
The final touch was a blue bow-tie that wrapped around his neck.
"You two look great!" Cater said as he started to take a few photos. "Not bad, Yuu!" Deuce says as he pats his friends back rather harshly. Yuu does his best not to double take and nods at his fellow first year.
"Thanks. You should tell (Y/N) and the ghosts that. They worked hard on them."
Almost like a genie being called. The female appeared before the group. "I'm glad you guys liked it." The (h/c) haired female said. "I had no clue what to do durring costume making, I'm greatful the ghosts had helped out."
The dorm leader says bashfully, rubbing the back of neck. "So.. What do you think!" She said with smirk, a creepy gleam in her eyes. The Halloween committee stares at her with awe.
(Y/N) wore a (f/c) dress that had bits of rips and tears. A few peices of uneven fabric hanged off her dress, almost like someone had clawed at it. Splashes of fake blood covered some areas of the dress. A simple white sash was also on her dress, covered in hints of fake blood as well. The sash said "Queen" on it in pretty hand writing.
A plastic tiara was placed crookedly on her head head. Her hair (styled/same). She held a knife in her hands that was drenched in fake blood. "Pretty cool right?" (Y/N) asked the the group.
A confident smile on her face as she waited for someone to respond. Surprisingly, Idia was the first to talk. "You look so.. MOE!" Idia fanboys internally at her costume.
Azul doesn't comment on his friends wording, he just stares at (Y/N) choice of outfit. "What was your thought process for these costumes, (Y/N)?" Jade asked for Azul. Even if the Leech brother was also in slight shock. Which was uncommon to him most days.
(Y/N) swings the knife around, like she was playing hot patato with it. But stops after Jade asked his question. "Er.. well you see. In Yuu's and my world, there was a story or song.. I can't really remember which?"
"But, it was a song about girl who wanted to become the "queen" of her dance that her school was having. Though someone stole her dream and she went on a murderous rampage during the party. Her name was Sarra, I think.. It's a bit fuzzy trying to remember. Anyway, I was inspired by it and then made these costumes with the ghosts help!"
(Y/N) explained, yet Vil looks at her with confusion. "Where did even get those clothes?" Vil gestured to her dress and Yuu's outfit. "I found them outside of Ramshackle. I think it was leftovers of from the Diasomnia dorm?"
"The rest I bought at Sam's shop using some of my paycheck." Yuu overheard her and looks at (Y/N) with worry. "Oh, I see." The handsome vampire said, walking over to her. Vil gently grips her chin, looking over her face.
"Hmm." He hummed, caressing one of her cheeks. "You need to put on some make-up." Vil says as he let's go of her. Pulling out a tiny tube of lipstick, he carefully applied it to her lips.
"I'll put on the rest once we are inside." Not caring for the hateful or unhappy stares of the Halloween committee. Vil goes back to Epel side. The first year looks anywhere but his dorm leader. His fists clenching tightly.
Kalim joyfully jumps over to (Y/N), "you look so pretty! And scary too!" Caring very little on how close they were. The fake werewolf holds her arm as he bombarded (Y/N) with sweet compliments. Cater steps in front of the two.
"(Y/N)-Chan~ Mind if I take a pic of you? Your super scary cute right now!" The female nods as Cater starts snapping a few photos. Hashtaging the pics under, super cute, NRC Halloween event! Cater then takes a selfie as well after, "thanks (Y/N)-Chan!"
"I think it's time to get going." Jack tells the group. Everyone agreed and started to walk to the main campus. Yuu and (Y/N) stayed in the back of group. "You didn't tell me you used your paycheck."
Yuu said as he stared at the female straight in the eye. The (h/c)-nette hurriedly says that she still has enough money for other necessities the three might need in the future. But Yuu only shakes their head, "I could of pitched in." "No way Yuu, you already used most of your Madols on groceries. You need to relax once in awhile and let me treat you!"
Yuu still was not convinced, (Y/N) sighs at him. "We can talk about this later. Right now, I want you to enjoy yourself tonight!" (Y/N) said with a determined, but a pleadding look in her (e/c) eyes. Yuu goes silent, though finally caved in. "Alright.."
"Good, cause I didn't want to abuse my power of dorm leader to make you." (Y/N) jokes, in her head she was cheering for her victory! Yuu gave her a small smile. (Y/N) grasps his hand as the two try not to lose the group.
The End!
(Alright. So I decided to add Yuu in this one because I think Yuu needs more love and free time. They keep dealing with so much stuff, so they need a break! I choose Sara Berry for (Y/N) outfit as a spooky easter egg. Grim and Yuu are her victims, so I gave them ghost costumes! Anyway, Happy Spooky Month! 👻 🎃🃏🍭🍬🍫🎇🎆)
