Sony 8K TV: Best Sony TVs of 2023 8K & 4K
Tumblr media
The Top 4 Sony TVs of 2023: Expert Reviews and Innovative Features Having thoroughly reviewed over 65 models, we can attest to the consistent quality of Sony TVs. When you're on the hunt for a top-notch TV, Sony often stands out with its superior picture clarity, enhanced features, and precise color representation. While their premium and mid-tier offerings are on par, if not better, than counterparts from other brands, they do come with a steeper price tag. However, Sony's range is somewhat limited when it comes to budget-friendly choices.
Sony A80L/A80CL OLED TV Review: Sony's Finest Offering
Tumblr media
Pros: - Flawless black uniformity rendering deep, inky blacks. - An unparalleled contrast ratio ensuring vibrant visuals. - Exceptional capability to upscale lower-resolution content seamlessly. - Reflection management that's nothing short of impressive. - Wide viewing angle for optimal viewing from different positions. Cons: - SDR brightness, although decent, doesn't quite match up to some rivals. - Limited to just two HDMI 2.1 ports, with one doubling as the eARC port. SIZE & PRICE BUY AMAZON.COM USABUY AMAZON.DE(EUROPE)US MODEL55″ $1,598.00Buy NowBuy NowXR55A80L65″ $1,798.00Buy NowBuy NowXR65A80L77″ $2,799.99Buy NowBuy NowXR77A80L83″ $4,798.00Buy NowBuy NowXR83A80L The Sony A80L is an embodiment of stellar performance, designed for a variety of uses. When it comes to viewing HDR content in dim settings, the TV truly excels, radiating an impressive peak brightness that makes scenes come alive. On the other hand, while its SDR brightness doesn't reach soaring heights, the TV's exceptional ability to handle reflections ensures that daytime viewing of TV shows and sports events remains top-notch. Gaming enthusiasts are in for a treat. The TV boasts ultra-low input lag combined with an almost immediate response time, ensuring fluid gameplay. However, a slight dip in HDR brightness in Game Mode suggests a better gaming experience in dimmer environments. The TV's superb gaming credentials make it an ideal choice for use as a computer monitor. However, potential buyers should bear in mind the inherent risk of burn-in associated with all OLED screens.
Sony X80K/X80CK: Top Affordable Sony TV Option
Tumblr media
Pros: - Excellent at upscaling lower-resolution materials. - Broad viewing angle accommodates various seating positions. - Suitable for moderately lit rooms. Cons: - Subpar native contrast ratio. - Missing local dimming capabilities. - Inadequate brightness to counter strong window glares. - Inefficient smoothing of lower-quality content. Sony might not delve deep into the budget segment as other brands do, but they do have offerings like the Sony X80K that are more wallet-friendly. This model serves as their foundational TV for the 2022 collection, catering to those who don't mind compromising on advanced gaming attributes or premium features like local dimming to save some cash. However, when you stack its visual quality against something like the Sony X90L/X90CL, the X80K falls short, particularly in dim settings. This is attributed to its distinct panel type which, unfortunately, tends to display blacks as a shade of gray. On the bright side, the X80K boasts an expansive viewing angle, ensuring consistency in image quality even from side perspectives – a plus for those with spacious seating setups. Given its limitation in displaying rich visuals in darker settings, the X80K shines best in a luminous environment. It can adequately handle ambient light due to its commendable peak brightness and reflection management. One consistent feature across Sony's range is the stellar out-of-the-box color accuracy. Coupled with the user-friendly Google TV interface, the X80K provides a seamless streaming experience, eliminating the need for any external devices. For those who wish to upgrade from the X80K without venturing into the mid-tier range, the Sony X85K is worth considering. Priced a tad higher, it promises superior visual quality and an enhanced gaming experience. However, it slightly underperforms in reflection handling and has a more restricted viewing angle compared to the X80K.
Sony X90L/X90CL: Top Mid-Tier Sony TV Choice
Tumblr media
Pros: - Impressive contrast ratio, delivering deep black levels. - Sufficient brightness to counteract glare. Cons: - Viewing experience diminishes at off-angles. For those looking for an economical option without majorly compromising on visual quality, the Sony X90L/X90CL stands out in the mid-tier segment. It boasts commendable overall performance and a sharp picture display. Its striking contrast ratio combined with decent black uniformity makes for captivating visuals. However, in comparison to the Sony X93L/X93CL, the absence of a Mini LED backlight means you might notice slight blooming around luminous objects, especially with local dimming active. The X90L/X90CL lags slightly behind the X93L in terms of reflection management and has a more confined viewing angle, making it less suitable for expansive seating areas. But its outstanding peak brightness ensures it remains a top choice for well-lit spaces. When it comes to gaming, this model doesn't skimp on features and supports advanced video and audio formats, consistent with its pricier counterparts. The inclusion of the efficient Google TV interface, along with a vast app library, adds to its appeal. When comparing with its predecessor, the Sony X90K, it's evident that the X90L/X90CL offers superior value, especially given the comparable price point. Hence, opting for the newer iteration is recommended.
Sony X93L/X93CL: Premier Choice in the Upper Mid-Range Segment
Tumblr media
Pros: - Efficient local dimming delivers profound black shades. - Offers sufficient brightness to counteract glare. - Superior reflection management. Cons: - Average viewing experience when viewed from off-angles. SIZE & PRICE BUY AMAZON.COM USABUY AMAZON.DE(EUROPE)US MODEL65″ $1,798.00Buy NowBuy NowXR65X93L75″ $2,698.00Buy NowBuy NowXR75X93L85″ $3,798.00Buy NowBuy NowXR85X93L For those eyeing the upper mid-range category, the Sony X93L/X93CL stands out as a top performer. Contrasting with the Sony A95K OLED, which employs a QD-OLED panel to achieve impeccable blacks, the X93L/X93CL utilizes a Mini LED full array backlight. This setup modulates the backlight brightness on a zone-specific basis, leading to more radiant highlights than the QD-OLED. However, it also means a pronounced blooming around luminous objects and subtitles. Consequently, while the X93L/X93CL is ideal for brighter settings, the premium Sony QD-OLED emerges as the preferred pick for dimmer environments. A consistent feature with Sony TVs is the integration of the Google TV interface, acclaimed for its swift and intuitive operations. It boasts an extensive range of streaming applications, and with the integrated Google Play Store, accessing additional apps is a breeze. Gaming enthusiasts aren't left behind either; the X93L closely mirrors the gaming attributes of the A95K. As part of Sony's 'Perfect for PS5' range, it supports 4k @ 120Hz gameplay and incorporates cutting-edge features like Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode. Add to this the advanced video and audio format compatibility identical to its high-end counterpart, the X93L/X93CL emerges as an exceptional choice for home theater enthusiasts. We're currently evaluating the X93L's counterpart, the Sony X95L, and will soon provide a comprehensive comparison. It's noteworthy that in the North American market, the X95L is exclusively offered in an 85-inch variant. Those desiring a compact size might consider the X93L or the 2022 Sony X95K – the latter being slightly inferior but priced similarly to the X93L.
Sony A95K OLED: Top-tier Sony Smart TV
Tumblr media
Pros: - Flawless black depth. - Absence of blooming around luminous items. - Effective removal of 24p judder across all sources. - Expansive viewing angle ensures consistent visuals from various positions. - Exceptional tone mapping precision. - Highlights and colors are bright and dynamic. Cons: - Noticeable stutter with content having low frame rates. - Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) brightness is average. - Elevated black levels in ambient light situations. SIZE & PRICE BUY AMAZON.COM USABUY AMAZON.DE(EUROPE)US MODEL55″ $2,007.99Buy NowBuy NowXR55A95K65″ $2,998.00Buy NowBuy NowXR65A95K The premier Sony TV in our tests is the Sony A95K OLED. Flaunting a QD-OLED panel, this TV showcases exemplary image quality regardless of the environment. It excels in displaying dark visuals with perfect contrast, devoid of any bothersome blooming around bright elements within dark backgrounds. The color palette is rich and true-to-life, and the TV manifests a vast color spectrum. Sony's advanced processing techniques further elevate the viewing experience, reproducing visuals that resonate with the creator's vision, marked by near-flawless PQ-EOTF alignment and superior gradient handling. This makes it a prime choice for movie enthusiasts with a keen eye for image accuracy. On the gaming front, the A95K doesn't disappoint. It supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, catering to 4k @ 120Hz gameplay. As part of Sony's distinguished 'Perfect for PS5' series, the TV integrates exclusive features that optimize the PS5 gaming experience, including Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode. Furthermore, the TV is compatible with a plethora of formats, such as Dolby Vision HDR, and encompasses eARC audio passthrough and a comprehensive audio format suite. This ensures a seamless and immersive viewing session without the need to frequently adjust settings. We're eager to evaluate the forthcoming Sony A95L OLED and see how it fares against the esteemed A95K.

[ad_1] The future looks bright for those who are looking to nab a great TV in 2023 at a substantial discount. Although a fresh slate of new models was announced at CES 2023, it might be a while until many of them arrive — and even longer before they receive a discount. However, you don’t have to wait until later this year to land a great deal on a mid- or high-end TV from Sony, LG, TCL, or Samsung, as many models of the flagship models from last year are currently selling for hundreds of dollars less than their original list price. Right now, there are a number of discounted 4K TVs to choose from, spanning a wide variety of prices, size configurations, and feature sets. Whether you want a secondary TV for the bedroom or a high-end OLED that’s built for a cinema-like experience, we’ve picked out the best TV deals across three common categories. The best 4k TV dealsThe best 4K TV deals for most peopleTCL 6-SeriesThe TCL 6-Series R646 model has a Mini LED QLED panel, with HDR10 Plus support and 4K gaming at 120Hz via HDMI 2.1, as well as hands-free Google Assistant voice commands and the Google TV interface that offers all major streaming apps. It’s a good option if you are looking to balance price and performance, and the 55-inch model is currently on sale at Best Buy and Amazon for (pending availability at your local Best Buy) Read our TCL 6-Series Google TV review.$600TCL’s R646 6-Series TV features 4K HDR and Mini LED backlighting along with support for HDR10 Plus and 4K gaming at 120Hz. It runs on the Google TV software, unlike the previous-gen model.LG UP7300PUCLG’s UP7300PUC isn’t blessed with a memorable name, but the 75-inch 4K LED TV offers a lot of bang for your buck. We haven’t personally tested this model, but its features and size are impressive for $599.99, its current price at Best Buy. It has two HDMI inputs (one of which is eARC), an optical audio port, and an ethernet port. It comes with LG’s webOS software built-in, too, which grants you access to all of the major streaming apps, plus many others. It’s easy to find other 60Hz smart 4K TVs on sale, but its other impressive aspects — namely its size and price — aren’t so common. $600This budget-friendly, 75-inch 4K LED TV from LG has two HDMI inputs, digital optical audio out, and ethernet to ensure your streams don’t drop in quality.Sony X80JSony’s 55-inch X80J TV, like the others above, has Google TV software built-in, so you won’t need to purchase any additional streaming boxes, like an Apple TV or a Chromecast. The LED panel also supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision HDR and has four HDMI ports (one of which is HDMI ARC). It’s a relatively low-frills affair, but it seems like a good deal that’s currently available at Walmart, where you can buy the 55-inch model for $598 instead of $799.99. The 65-inch X75K with the Google TV interface is also on sale at Best Buy for $579.99 ($120 off) and offers very few differences, as far as I can tell. It features three HDMI ports instead of four, but if you want a bigger TV for your money, it could be a good choice.$598Sony’s X80J TV features Google TV built-in, along with four HDMI ports for plugging in game consoles and streaming boxes. The best 4K TV deals for those on a budgetTCL 4-Series (Google TV model)Like its predecessor, TCL’s latest 4-Series remains one of the more affordable options on the market. The 2022 model swaps the built-in Roku interface found on the prior model for the Google TV platform, however, and thus offers built-in support for Google Assistant (via the included remote) and more personalized content recommendations. At the same time, the LED TV continues to support HDR10, all the major streaming apps, and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. $270The latest version of TCL’s 4-Series swaps Roku’s streaming platform for Google TV but is otherwise similar to the prior generation.Amazon Fire TV Omni QLEDAmazon’s latest iteration of the Fire TV Omni launched in late 2022, and we’re already seeing sizable discounts.
It debuted at $799.99, but the 65-inch model is currently selling for $549.99 at Best Buy. We haven’t tested the new QLED model yet, but it seems to build on the last-gen model with a better design. It supports Dolby Vision IQ for HDR — allowing it to adjust itself depending on the amount of ambient light — along with the same hands-free Alexa perks offered by the previous model and local dimming for more realistic lighting in scenes. My colleague Chris Welch has all the major details in his announcement post.$550Amazon’s Fire TV Omni QLED features built-in microphones for Alexa commands, low input lag, and support for two-way video calling. It also provides access to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus, and most major streaming services.Verge Deals on Twitter / Join more than 50,000 followers and keep up with the best daily tech deals with @vergedealsFollow us!The best deals on 4K TVs for the PS5 and Xbox Series X Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X can play 4K games with HDR at up to 120 frames per second. So, naturally, if you don’t have a TV that takes full advantage of your console, it might be time to upgrade to one of the models below. Note that, for the best experience, you’ll want a TV that supports HDMI 2.1.LG C2 OLEDsIf you’re looking for an impressive TV, we recommend turning your attention to LG’s 2022 C2 model. The 4K TVs touts support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync variable refresh rate tech, along with a 120Hz refresh rate and low input lag. It also boasts a settings pane dubbed “Game Optimizer,” which conveniently brings together a host of game-centric settings — refresh rate, latency, etc. — for quicker access.Additionally, we recommend the last-gen C1 model, if you can still find it at an especially great discount. But the price is coming down for the C2, which we like because it weighs less and is available in a 42-inch variant (that costs about . The C2 also offers a few additional features over the C1, like a brighter “Evo” panel, the ability to log into different user profiles, and a new “dark room” setting that’s designed to reduce eyestrain. See what our reviewer Chris Welch has to say (spoiler: lots of good things). The 48-inch LG C2 costs around $949.99 at Best Buy and B&H Photo, while the 55-inch costs $1,299.99 ($300 off) at Best Buy. If you’re in need of another OLED option,. It has HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K/120Hz support and a brilliant display, but we feel more comfortable recommending LG’s model unless you really want to save a bit of money. Vizio’s debut OLED launched with several software issues, though many of them seem to have been resolved.$897The LG C2 is available in a 42-inch configuration and is both lighter and brighter than its last-gen predecessor, the C1. It also boasts a “dark room” setting to reduce eyestrain as well as the ability to log in to different user profiles.LG’s QNED Mini LED TVOLED prices aren’t for everyone. If you want something that’ll still look amazing, LG’s QNED Mini LED lineup offers many of the same perks for less. The Mini LED backlighting allows for better contrast, more brightness, dynamic HDR, and improved color accuracy over LG’s previous LCD TVs. Crucially for gamers, they also have HDMI 2.1 ports with 120Hz support at 4K resolution. The 65-inch model, which has webOS for built-in streaming apps, is currently discounted to $999.99 at Best Buy. This is $700 off its original price, which is quite the discount. However, if you have the space and budget for going even bigger, the 75-inch version is $1,499.99 ($1,000 off) at Best Buy.$1000LG’s QNED with Mini LED backlighting is made for those who want a big, amazing TV for under $1,000. Which is the best TV technology in 2022?
The television technology landscape has undergone a major makeover in recent years. Dozens of technologies emerged—from OLEDs to QLEDs, webOS to Android OS, 4K to 8K—complicating the decision to buy a TV. With the advent of smart TV, users now watch what they want, when they want, and how they want. If you are one among those who are planning to buy LED TV online, then this article is for you.
Here we have listed the best TV technologies in 2022 that you must look for in your new LED TV before you make a purchase.
8K: Future of High Resolution
Over the years, the resolution has been the main playground for improvement in TVs. We have moved now from HD to 8K. It may seem exaggerated, but prominent TV innovations would not have been possible if it wasn’t for high-resolution technology. 8K TVs are truly premium and only reputed brands like Sony, Samsung, LG, and Panasonic are currently offering 8K TVs in India. It is a super high resolution, which in terms of pixel count is four times better than 4K resolution and 16 times better than Full HD resolution. In order to really enjoy 8K content, a screen size less than 55’ wouldn’t make much sense.
HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG
HDR is basically technology to improve two important factors: contrast ratio and color accuracy of the content on the TV. The most basic form of HDR is HDR10. It is the most frequently used and easily available HDR format. Many new mid to premium range TVs nowadays come with HDR10+. In short, HDR10+ is better than HDR10. Better than HDR10+ is the proprietary Dolby Vision format HDR. This HDR format often is clubbed with Dolby Atmos or Dolby Digital sound system and TVs that come with both are marketed as Dolby Cinema TVs.

Picture quality is fantastic - truly mind-bogglingly good, at times. The look sets a suitably premium, cutting edge tone. The Samsung QN95B Neo QLED's design picks up on the so-called Infinity theme of its predecessor, the lauded Samsung QN95A, with a barely-there frame around the screen, and a slim rear that’s as flat as the front, creating a striking monolithic effect.

Samsung tv color lines on screen tv#
If you're looking for a more affordable 4K TV this should definitely be on your shortlist. Samsung has made a very impressive TV for an equally impressive price, and while it's not up there with the firm's very best models it punches way above its price tag. There’s compatibility with the ALLM and HGiG aspects of next-gen games console specification, but there's no support for AMD FreeSync, which is a step backwards from last year's Samsung AU9000. The BU8500 features three HDMI 2.0 inputs including one with eARC for a soundbar. Sound quality isn't brilliant, but like most flat TVs we'd recommend hooking up one of the best soundbars or best AV receivers anyway: few LED or OLED TVs sound great without one. This is an exceptionally affordable TV, and while building affordable TVs does mean some compromises Samsung hasn't cut any important corners here: the Crystal 4K processor does a decent job of upscaling, albeit not to the same degree as the processors in Samsung's best TVs, and the backlighting is accurate with good brightness and contrast. It's a strong contender to be one of the best TVs under £1,000. It's an impressive 4K HDR LED display with good HDR (although as ever with Samsung, no Dolby Vision HDR), three HDMIs, voice control, two remotes and a Tizen smart TV interface with all the streaming apps you might want. The Samsung BU8500 is designed to offer some up-to-the-minute functionality, discreet looks, and rock-solid build quality at a price that the majority of us won’t baulk at. Read the full Samsung QN900B Neo QLED 8K TV review But that's a minor issue, and we stuck think that this is the best Samsung TV of 2022. While the TV itself is spectacular, the Smart Hub isn't. Samsung's new Smart Hub UI feels like a step backwards, making previously simple adjustments more time-consuming and complex. So why did we dock it half a star? The short answer: the software. And because it also has Samsung's Multi-Intelligence AI upscaling, the QN900A can deliver images that look much better than their source. With this TV, you won't see bright areas of the screen unnaturally bleed over into darker spots. That's because another benefit of smaller LEDs is that they are more precise and less prone to blooming, which is when light goes where you don't want it to go. That means more accurate dimming, enabling the Samsung to deliver black levels that to our eyes are almost indistinguishable to those of an OLED display. Those LEDs are 1/40th the thickness of a regular LED, meaning thousands of smaller LEDs can be packed together more tightly than in other LED TVs. The technology inside this TV's display panel is Samsung's 'Quantum' Mini LED. It looks pretty good when it's switched off too. Samsung's Mini LED-sporting QN900B Neo QLED 8K TV offers stunning picture quality, exceptional color and brightness, terrific sound and outstanding black levels. 8K is too much TV for many front rooms, but if you have the space and budget there's no doubt that the Samsung QN900B Neo QLED 8K TV takes home entertainment to a whole new level.

The new Tizen interface feels a tad cumbersome compared to previous versions, but it's still extremely good.Īll in all, the S95B is a brilliant argument for QD-OLED TV technology. Better yet, it offers a level of brightness that we haven’t seen before on any regular OLED TV.Ĭonnectivity is superb, audio quality is pleasant enough, and Samsung has included no less than three built-in voice assistants (Bixby, Google Assistant and Alexa). It's also displays a wide selection of digital artworks on the screen when not watching TV.īut, why would you not be watching TV when the S95B serves up such phenomenal contrast, delivering the sort of immaculate, ultra deep blacks long associated with the best of the OLED world. It's incredibly thin over the vast majority of its rear – just a couple of millimetres deep. While not always the most subtle performer, the S95B QD-OLED delivers thrills aplenty. So if you like the idea of immersing yourself in a brand new TV technology, the Samsung QN65S95B is well worth considering. The Samsung S95B is one of the world’s first Quantum Dot OLED TVs (along with the excellent Sony A95K). We've not yet reviewed these versions but you'll see the latest, lowest prices below. It's also available as a 50-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch model. We tested the QN94A in its 55- and 65-inch sizes. This is a great TV and a terrific buy at this price. There’s still no Dolby Vision support (Samsung backs it's own HDR10+ format) but you’ll be getting so much from HDR10 alone that it will hardly be on your mind. Picture quality is compelling and the sound is decent enough.
#PRICES FOR SAMSUNG 4K SMART PLAYER FULL#
From next-generation gaming potential to a full suite of apps and services, it’s more than ready to impress. One of Samsung’s top 4K TV for 2021s, it's practically bursting with features as well as raw performance power. We’ve every reason to expect the same from the QN94A. It’s added a care with contrast that’s led to a more nuanced on-screen image, with a more solid, three-dimensional depth than ever before. The extra-fine level of lighting control that mini LED brings has put LCD’s high peak brightness to sophisticated use. Samsung’s first flush of Neo QLED TVs has been nothing short of revolutionary to date. Bigger isn't always better – if it towers over your sofa, you might want to reconsider. This is because they upscale 4K content using Samsung's processing tech, and generally do it very well. As for size, measure where you'll put your TV and see which set will suit your space best. Samsung was the first to sell 8K sets in the UK, and while there's still no 8K content available, 8K sets are worth considering. And do remember that no Samsung sets support Dolby Vision – they plump for Samsung's own format, HDR10+. 4K and HDR will improve the picture quality drastically, but only when fed compatible content, so check your source. How to choose the best Samsung TV for youīefore you lay down your cash, there are a few things to consider. From monster sets to moderately-sized models, affordable to expensive, Samsung has TVs to suit all tastes, spaces and budgets. Obviously it makes sense to shop around when buying a new TV, especially during the Prime Day 2022, but if you've previously owned a Samsung and want to stick with what you know, we're here to help.

Tips for TV Shopping & Securing the Best Deals
- Prioritize 4K Resolution: Avoid settling for anything less than 4K. It's today's standard, so unless there's a too-good-to-resist deal on a 720p or 1080p TV, aim for 4K. - Opt for "Smart" Features: TVs with "smart" functionalities allow for easy streaming from platforms such as Roku, Hulu, and Prime Video. If you're not keen on a smart TV, simply keep it off the network, disabling its smart capabilities. - Seek Out HDR Compatibility: TVs with HDR offer richer colors and superior contrast. Although there are five HDR formats, primarily look for HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision. - Skip Extended Warranties: Most new TVs come with a one-year warranty. Furthermore, many credit card companies offer extra protection for purchases, so extended warranties often aren't necessary. - Be Cautious with Refurbished TVs: Unless there's a huge cost saving, it's best to avoid refurbished TVs. If they come with more wear and tear than expected, you might be responsible for return shipping, which can be costly due to size. - Consider Previous Models: Many 2022 TVs are still available for purchase. Differences between years might be subtle to the average viewer. Opting for a model from the previous year can lead to substantial savings.

Toshiba 55-Inch 4K Fire TV Edition: Budget-Friendly with Alexa Integration
Tumblr media
Screen Details: - Size: 55 inches - HDMI Ports: 3 - Refresh Rate: 60 Hz - HDR Support: HDR10 - Dimensions (w/o stand): 28.7 x 49.1 x 3.7 inches Pros: - User-friendly Fire TV OS. - Integrated Alexa feature. - Support for HDR. - Affordable price point below $500. Cons: - Prominent ads. - Cluttered app store. - Average image and sound quality. The Toshiba C350 4K Fire TV Edition is Amazon's answer for those looking for a budget-friendly smart TV. Its standout feature? The integration of Amazon’s Prime Video and the ever-efficient Alexa voice controls. Not only does it provide access to Prime Video's vast collection of content, but the built-in Alexa function is as capable as its counterpart in the Amazon Echo. From managing smart home devices to weather forecasts and local restaurant searches, the voice assistant on this TV covers it all. Transitioning from the Westinghouse models of the previous year to Toshiba, this TV has seen several enhancements. These include better display quality, HDR compatibility, and a smoother user interface. However, it does grapple with certain limitations, such as average picture and sound performance. The TV's edge-lit backlighting and basic HDR support highlight a recurring concern with Amazon's TVs: while the Fire TV OS is commendable as a smart TV interface, the actual TV quality needs to independently impress. In our analysis, the C350 showcased a satisfactory viewing experience, with adequate brightness and commendable color reproduction, ensuring viewers can relish the content without compromising too much on quality.
LG C2 Series OLED TV: Top Pick for Television Excellence

It encapsulates everything a TV aficionado could yearn for. At its heart lies a mesmerizing OLED screen, enhanced by the prowess of LG's cutting-edge a9 Gen5 AI processor. This combination ensures rich contrasts and dazzling brightness levels. Supplementing this is the virtual surround sound, modern smart features, voice commands, and its svelte profile, culminating in an unparalleled home theater experience.
TCL 6-Series with Mini LED: Prime Choice for Mid-Tier Televisions
Tumblr media
Specifications: - Screen Sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch - Resolution: 4K HDR - Display Tech: QLED - Smart Features: Roku - Curved: No Key Features: - Enhanced with Mini LED backlighting - Compatible with Dolby Vision - Integrated Roku streaming service - Lacks 4K gaming capability Buy TCL 6-Series The TCL 6-Series Mini LED TV is a standout performer in the mid-range category, packing features you'd typically associate with pricier counterparts. Its QLED screen, enhanced by Quantum Dot technology and Dolby Vision HDR, offers vivid and dynamic colors, recreating realistic visuals. Moreover, the built-in Roku platform coupled with voice control functionality ensures a seamless viewing experience. Whether you're switching to a movie or adjusting volume levels, voice commands make the process effortless.
Hisense U8H Quantum Series: Premier Pick for Affordable TVs
Tumblr media
Specifications: - Screen Sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch - Resolution: 4K Ultra HD - Display Tech: QLED - Smart Features: Yes - Curved: No Key Features: - Exceptional price point - Vibrant and rich colors - Voice-activated remote - Sound quality is decent but not standout Buy Hisense U8H Series Emerging as a frontrunner in the budget-friendly TV segment, the Hisense U8H Quantum Series offers a variety of sizes, starting from a compact 55 inches and expanding up to a spacious 75 inches. Its display is a visual treat, boasting radiant colors and crisp contrasts, all credited to the integration of Quantum Dot technology complemented by mini-LED backlighting. Furthermore, its smart features allow for effortless streaming of your go-to movies and series, and the voice-controlled remote enhances the overall user experience.
Roku Plus Series 4K QLED TV: Roku's Stellar Entry into the TV Market
Tumblr media
Specifications: - Screen Sizes: 55, 65, 75 inches - Screen Type: QLED - Refresh Rate: 60 Hz - HDMI Ports: 4 (HDMI 2.0) - Dimensions: 33.1 x 57 x 4 inches - Weight: 36.7 pounds Features: - Impressive price-to-performance ratio - Exceptional HDR color rendition - Clear audio quality - Efficient Roku TV user interface - Moderate brightness levels - Standard 60Hz refresh rate - Absence of HDMI 2.1 ports Roku's Plus Series 4K QLED TV marks the brand's remarkable pivot from primarily focusing on streaming software and devices to crafting televisions. For a debut, it’s a compelling one. Starting at a competitive $499, this series not only offers ample screen real estate but also boasts impressive picture and sound quality, features often compromised in budget-friendly models. Aesthetically, the TV exudes a premium feel. It's framed by a slender gray metal bezel, which is especially slim along the top, left, and right edges. The Roku brand gleams with a chrome finish, positioned centrally at the bottom. Empowered by quantum-dot LED technology, the TV produces rich colors and enhanced brightness levels. Our assessment revealed that the TV's performance aligns well with Roku's claims. While the vibrancy of the picture diminishes slightly as one moves away from the central viewing position, it takes a considerable shift for the display to lose its allure. When should you look for a TV deal? Bargain TV offers are consistently available throughout the year at major retail outlets. Whether it's Best Buy, Amazon, or Walmart, every week offers a chance to secure a good deal. However, during certain seasonal sales events, these retailers tend to slash prices even more. Noteworthy times include Black Friday in November and Prime Day during the summer. Interestingly, last year didn't just see discounts on older models; even the latest releases had their prices marked down. And now, with Super Bowl TV sales on the horizon, it's anticipated that a wave of fresh deals will emerge soon. Stay updated on current TV offers right here. When to buy the perfect TV deal? Throughout the year, top retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart consistently offer TV deals. So, irrespective of the season, you're likely to find a discounted TV that fits your budget. Nevertheless, the steepest discounts often coincide with major sales events. For instance, Black Friday in November and Prime Day in summer are renowned for offering exceptional TV deals. It's worth noting that these discounts aren't limited to older TV models; recent releases also see significant markdowns. As the Super Bowl TV sales approach, we're gearing up for an array of exciting offers soon. For the latest TV promotions, keep an eye on this space. OLED vs. QLED: Which Display Reigns Supreme? When contemplating a mid-tier or luxury TV purchase, the choice often boils down to two dominant display technologies: OLED and QLED. Each offers unique benefits and drawbacks, but for those who prioritize unparalleled image quality, OLED often emerges as the top pick. OLED TVs are renowned for their self-emissive screens, allowing individual pixels to autonomously dim or brighten. This results in an unmatched contrast ratio, positioning OLEDs as the go-to choice for those seeking the pinnacle of viewing experiences, especially in dimly lit settings like home theaters. A noted concern with OLEDs, however, is their susceptibility to image retention or even burn-in. Fortunately, contemporary models incorporate enhanced software and hardware mechanisms to mitigate this risk. Best practices, such as avoiding prolonged display of static elements (e.g., gaming HUDs or news tickers), can further reduce the chances of burn-in. Conversely, QLED TVs employ the more traditional LCD panel approach, utilizing a backlight to project images. While these backlights can be sectioned into zones for targeted dimming, even the most advanced QLEDs can't rival the individual pixel contrast achievable with OLEDs. This occasionally results in imperfect dark scenes, manifesting as either glaring halos around luminous objects or graying of deep blacks. QLED's forte lies in its superior brightness levels. Premium QLED TVs tend to outshine most OLEDs, making them a preferable choice for well-lit environments. Their capacity to produce striking HDR highlights, especially for intensely bright scenes, is noteworthy. Additionally, QLEDs usually come with a more palatable price tag compared to OLEDs and eliminate any concerns regarding burn-in.
Selecting the Perfect TV: A Comprehensive Guide
Navigating the expansive world of TVs can be daunting, given the plethora of choices across sizes, brands, and display technologies. Moreover, price points oscillate significantly based on the features in question. At the most affordable end of the spectrum, small HDTVs are available from around $100, often with resolutions limited to 720p or 1080p. A respectable 4K TV might set you back between $300 and $500, contingent on its dimensions. Understandably, every additional expenditure usually equates to a boost in quality. Venturing into premium territory, top-tier 4K TVs with expansive screens can command prices ranging from $1,200 to $1,500 and beyond. Embarking on your TV-purchasing journey, it's prudent to define your budget, which will likely correlate with your desired screen size. Aim for a size that facilitates easy viewing from multiple angles without necessitating significant head movements. Consider the importance of top-tier image quality in your decision-making process. For those seeking unparalleled visual splendor, a 4K TV featuring an OLED or QLED panel is ideal. Technologies such as local dimming and quantum dots enhance color vibrancy and contrast, culminating in a mesmerizing HDR display. Gaming enthusiasts should prioritize TVs with 120Hz and variable refresh rate capabilities to leverage the full potential of next-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Meanwhile, cinephiles should keep an eye out for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos integration to replicate a cinematic ambiance. Conversely, if your intent is to acquire a straightforward smart TV for casual viewing, a conventional LED screen might suffice. While the visual fidelity might not rival premium counterparts, numerous affordable 4K TVs offer commendable performance, encapsulating features like 4K resolution, HDR, and an extensive app ecosystem. 3 Best Gaming TV for PS5 & Xbox Series X
The Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X gaming consoles have advanced features that, in conjunction with the right TV, can offer the best gaming experience possible. After putting new TVs through our regular battery of tests and then adding an Xbox Series X to the mix, we’ve found that the LG C1 OLED TV is your best choice for high-performance gaming and has every feature that gamers will need for the foreseeable future.
1. LG C1 - The best TV for video games
The LG C1 provides low input lag and the most comprehensive set of gaming features, as well as the best overall picture quality.
Tumblr media
The LG C1 is the best gaming TV to pair with the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. Its input lag is supremely low, which means less time between when something happens in a game and when you see it on your screen. And unlike many other TVs, the C1 doesn’t sacrifice image quality in its game mode. All four HDMI inputs support the full HDMI 2.1 feature set, including automatic low-latency mode, variable refresh rate, and the bandwidth to accept a 4K signal at 120 frames per second (see How we picked for an explanation of these features). The C1 is one of the few TVs that support the new HGiG high dynamic range guidelines for gaming, as well as 4K 120 Hz Dolby Vision gaming. PC gamers can also use it as a monitor thanks to its support for the AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync variable refresh rate modes on certain GPUs and graphics cards. In addition, this TV provides an on-screen gaming dashboard that lets you easily check and adjust its gaming-specific settings to ensure that it’s giving you the best performance, and it’s available in screen sizes from 48 to 83 inches. As an OLED TV, the C1 offers better viewing angles than an LCD TV and faster pixel-response times for less image blurring. But this premium performer also carries a premium price tag.
In 2022, LG introduced the newer C2 Series OLED, which is also a great gaming TV and comes in a smaller 42-inch screen size that’s good for desktop gaming. However, the C2 costs more than the C1 without offering significant improvements in gaming. In fact, its input lag was a little higher. So for now, we’re keeping the C1 as our top pick and have added the C2 to Other good gaming TVs.
2. Samsung QN90A
The Samsung QN90A offers low input lag and full HDMI 2.1 support, and its high light output is good for a bright room.
Tumblr media
Some people worry about burn-in, or uneven wear on the screen, when using OLED TVs for gaming. We don’t think that’s an issue with the LG C1, but if you prefer to use an LCD TV instead, the Samsung QN90A is a great choice. Like the C1, it has low input lag, supports the major HDMI 2.1 gaming features, and offers a gaming dashboard that makes it easy for you to see if all those features are set up correctly. But this TV has only a single 4K 120 Hz HDMI input, whereas the LG C1 has four. The QN90A can get brighter than an OLED TV and has a good anti-reflective screen filter, so it’s a great choice for rooms with lots of windows or skylights. It’s available in screen sizes from 43 to 98 inches, and it’s also our upgrade pick for the best LCD/LED TV, so you can rest assured that its image quality on movies and TV is top-notch.
3. Hisense U7G
The U7G is a good all-around performer and has the most important gaming features, but it lacks some advanced gaming functions and comes in fewer screen sizes.
Tumblr media
If you want great gaming performance for a more affordable price, the Hisense U7G has low input lag and supports all the important HDMI 2.1 gaming features, including the ability to receive 4K 120 Hz signals on two of its four HDMI inputs. This TV is the top pick in our guide to the best LCD/LED TV, and it provides excellent image quality, though its brightness and contrast aren’t as high as what you can get with the more expensive LG and Samsung picks. It doesn’t have the gaming dashboard or the gaming-specific HGiG HDR support of our other picks, and it’s available in only three screen sizes (55, 65, and 75 inches). The lack of a screen size under 50 inches means it may not be ideal for a desktop gaming setup.

Evolution of the consumer electronics industry
The consumer electronics goods market has witnessed an unprecedented surge in the demand and supply of electronic items all over the world. That is so because any equipment/instrument or machinery that you may see around yourself will surely have electronics engineering incorporated into it. The electronics industry has invented and developed so many technological marvels that it has revolutionized every aspect of our lives. Consumer electronics goods such as smart android TVs, Bluetooth neckband headphones, wireless chargers etc., have today become an inseparable part of every household. More than just being a part of our households, they drive our daily lives. That makes it imperative to have good quality electronics items at home.
Quality matters the most
From CRT-based television sets to OLED panel-based ultra-thin smart televisions; from bulky, keypad-based mobile phones to sleek, powerful and thin smartphones, we have come a long way - all thanks to the milestone developments in the field of electronics in the past few decades. With the mushroom growth of companies manufacturing household electronics items, there has definitely been a deterioration in the quality of these goods. Therefore, it becomes a challenge for sellers as well as the end customers to get quality products. On one hand, sellers find it difficult to source quality electronics items from a reliable provider. On the other hand, the customers too are unable to get quality products (how can they, when the sellers themselves cannot). In such a scenario, one will have to search for a wholesale supplier known for providing quality goods. If one can get in touch with a manufacturer that also supplies the manufactured goods in bulk quantities, they will likely get the best quality products at the most affordable wholesale prices.

A new Nintendo console has been tipped for a 2024 release date by a reasonably reliable analyst, Piers Harding-Rolls of Ampere Analysis.
“Even with the release of the OLED model, sales were expected to decline from their peak as the Switch reaches year six of the cycle in 2022 and Nintendo’s latest shipment forecast reflects this."
We have no doubt that Nintendo is working on new console hardware, especially when the current Switch models only supports a 1080p output yet 4K TVs are now far more affordable and increasingly adapted; check out our best 4K TVs if you've yet to get one.
But no solid information followed this up.
We can hope after the OLED display we get to see a 4K display on the Switch 2.
After all, the GameCube was different to the N64, and the Wii U was only a pseudo successor to the Wii.
