So I fucked up big time on one of my project management course’s assignments.
I submitted the wrong fucking assignment. In all my years of academia, this has NEVER HAPPENED.
I’m going to be finishing off my leadership course with a 80.4% if I get a 0 on this paper. The paper was 15% of my entire grade. I worked so fucking hard and this shit happens.
Honestly, I was actually in an even a bigger mess when I first found out how I fucked up so badly on the submission part. Then I started doing the calculations. At first in my state of panic I somehow calculated a 61%. Then I calmed down a bit, redid the calculations and I realize that worst case scenario, I’ll end up with an 80.4% in this course. Best case scenario, the proff will read my messages (I REALLY hope he actually opens up his emails for once) and will make a one time exception for me. If I get 100 on the paper (and that’s assuming that an exception has been made for me for the submission mishap), my mark would be a 95.4%.
I’m so fucking angry for making such a stupid mistake. Since this is Tumblr and I can do whatever the fuck I want, I’m going to blame the proff for fucking us up so badly on assignment submissions. We had the course reflection paper and the peer review paper that was due at the same time on the same day. I was also tired af and slightly panicky because of the presentation. I was also starting a new job and was still getting jitters so that was a factor too. So of course my attention wasn’t 100% there by the time we got to the day of the paper submissions. He was the one who fucked up the lessons due to Canada Day. He thought we would get a break on Canada Day but NOPE. We weren’t supposed to! And as a result of that, we were behind on lessons but assignment deadlines still stayed in place. There were also no set deadlines for the course reflection paper or the peer review paper and because of the fuck up, he decided to make them due on the same day at the same time. Did I mention that he doesn’t read his emails ever?!
I am REALLY hoping, that because the course reflection paper (15% paper) hasn’t been marked yet, that he would think to email me, or at least check his inbox and see that my panicky email with the course reflection paper attached to it will be taken into consideration. I think the other thing fucking me up at the time was that the course reflection and peer review papers sound pretty similar if your mind is tired and you are stressed out. Both are reflection papers of sorts. So there was also that.
At the end of the day, I know that it was my fault for not checking over the names of the PDFs that I submitted. I feel like realistically, he’s going to check his inbox at a much later time and let me know that “he missed my email” and that “unfortunately he can’t make any exceptions”. That would really enrage me. But what enrages me even more is that I would’ve finished the course with an insanely high mark. This course was my outlet for losing my job back in April, during the pandemic. It was my chance to right all of the wrongs that have happened to me and to give it my all in every assignment. Unfortunately, I did not read things as carefully as I could’ve and there’s no going back (at least for now. I don’t know if he’ll even read his emails). I also felt the individual assignments were a chance for me to make up for the two 70s that my group and I got for two of the many assignments in this course. There were some group issues due to personal matters so we weren’t all there 100% of the time. Also I thought we would do badly on the presentation (we didn’t - we got 95% thankfully). And that’s the thing - I wanted to see a numerical measure of all of my efforts for this course at the end of the day. As if to say, “hey, look how far you came since April!”
But I also have to remind myself that at the end of the day, PMP only cares if you pass the course. They don’t give a shit about the marks you get for each course. They just care if you get a 50 or higher. And either way, that’s going to happen to me. Plus I can still say that I finished “with honours” by averaging 80+ for all three courses.

Experience:

Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO. Wisevu is an SEO agency and this is our main service, so the ideal candidate will be an expert in SEO. You must have a technical background and understanding of key Organic SEO concepts to implement, assess, modify, and routinely improve campaigns and rankings. You should be well experienced in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, GMB, and familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMRush, ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner as well as other industry leading SEO tools. Technical background and understanding of key Organic SEO concepts to implement, assess, modify, and routinely improve campaigns and rankings.
Advanced knowledge of web design CRO and UX, and website sales copy writing/editing/researching. You must have an in-depth understanding and experience of what makes great web design, UX, CRO and a keen eye for great online marketing and best conversion practices. You do not have to be a web developer/coder or graphic designer to qualify for this position (although these are a plus), however you must be an avid marketer and understand and be able to effectively communicate to various team members how to lay out and optimize web pages in order to increase conversions and sell the various services/products optimally. You must be an excellent sales copy and ad writer/editor and understand what makes great sales/ad copy.
Great writer especially when it comes to web sales copy and ad copy. Although you will work with content writers, you will also be responsible for researching/writing/editing/proofreading web copy to ensure it is optimal from a marketing/conversion standpoint.
You should be experienced and understand how to effectively implement social media marketing campaigns. At Wisevu we offer Facebook and Instagram Ads so understanding of these two platforms is a big plus, however it is not mandatory.
Experience with and passion for Analytics and number crunching, geared towards identifying areas of improvement based on measurable data points.
At least 2 years of experience working with WordPress. Most of our client sites are built on WordPress
Experience working with frontend page builder Elementor. Most of our client sites are built with Elementor, and all future client sites will be built with Elementor. This is not mandatory for this position but is a big plus.
Experience in Photoshop is a big plus.
Knowledge of web development or web designing is a plus
Ability to learn new software quickly along with passion and experience in using software.
Experience in creating and adapting business processes to ensure an efficient workflow between all departments, resulting in a seamless experience for our customers and improved systems for scaling our agency.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Taking charge of the overall onboarding, execution, production, and task management of your assigned clients/projects and ensuring effective and efficient implementation of each task.
Owning and being responsible for every element of the project lifecycle.
Managing and communicating with a team of designers, developers, SEOs, content writers and social media experts to ensure optimal results.
Managing content development - SEO is all about great content, so a large part of your job will be to ensure high quality content. This involves; researching, proofreading and editing content and writing content for landing pages, as well as optimizing content for SEO. You will also be responsible for managing various On-Page and Off-Page SEO initiatives including link building, outreach, influencer marketing and directory/citation submissions.
