Saw that post about fic-writing-related questions to ask you and so:
1. What's the word that appears most in your current draft?
2. What's your preferred writing font?
3. Where do you get your inspiration? (And is it possible to learn this power?)
4. What's your favourite place to write?
5. Talk about your writing and editing process
6. What's the most interesting topic you've researched for a fic?
7. How do you recharge when you're not feeling creative?
8. Besides writing, what are your other hobbies?
omg yes, thank you!
I just started something last night but it's only 40 words, so I'm gonna jump over to a more substantial WIP to get a better answer for this one. For chapter 6 of the bigger fic I'm working on, the top three are: Keith, Shiro, and time. (Or if you want to exclude names, time, when, and enough!)
I picked Times New Roman 12pt when I was like... 12, and I never abandoned it.
It jumps around! Over the past year, it's honestly mostly been from reading others' fics! (Which is also why I've gotten more fanatic about using the "Inspired By" feature on AO3 recently, because I fully think it's okay to take inspiration from others, but the other person deserves a little boost in reads too!) In the past, I've pretty exclusively relied on other people giving me prompts, but I had to figure out something else when I desperately wanted to write and there was no outside interest.
This one's probably boring, but I can't stand writing on my phone or a laptop, so I exclusively write at my desktop in my living room.
For writing: 1) Get idea (the hardest part). 2) If it's multi-chapter and I know that from the start, I'm not allowed to write anything until there's a basic outline jotted down. 3) The actual writing: Active writing doc on one monitor, outline on the other (if it's a multi-chapter work where I need to keep track of how the current part interacts with other parts), and Spotify in the background! For editing: I'm awful about it. I'm one of those people who edits as I write even though it frustrates me every time. BUT in exchange, the final editing is a lot easier because I've already edited it during every drafting session. I try to do the editing at the start because then it doubles as me reminding myself what I've already written and might give me ideas for what I want to write in the rest of this session. The final editing session after the writing is done is usually just me googling synonyms for the words I think I overused!
Oh man, I'm sure I'm blanking on something more interesting from further in the past, but a recent one has been the actual timeline for Voltron. Like, I always knew it was set in the future, but I never thought about exactly when since the show seems to be intentionally vague, and I had to dig into fan theories to get a good answer to that. Usually if I need to research something, I'll stick to an overview because I will go overboard if I give my brain half a chance, and a brief overview is usually enough to avoid writing anything completely wrong and immersion-ruining.
Ooh, I switch hobbies for a bit! I used to think you can't really call it a hobby if you don't do it almost every day, but that's a silly idea and I've given it up. If I don't feel like writing, I don't write. Usually, I'll get really into reading again during those times, but I might also go back to playing the guitar or drawing. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's fun and it's not writing. I just do that until I feel like writing again. That keeps me from associating writing with being frustrated and upset since I only write when I actively want to.
Oops, kinda went into them above already! But other than those ones, I also obsess over statistics, coding, and general math nerd stuff since those are what I went to college for. There are probably other hobbies, but of course they've all popped out of my head now that I'm trying to think of them!

[Image IDs: There are 5 photos in total. The 1st photo is the random number generator with 254 in big numbers, with the minimum being 5 and the max being 687. The second photo is a brief description of the people you'd be donating to, which is described in the original post.
The third photo is the Go Fund Me page. It has a picture of the family all together surrounded by stacks of pillows and folded blankets with jackets in the background. There are 296 donations; the goal is 60,000 euros, and they've only received 12,078 euros so far.
The fourth is the full description, taken from the Go Fund Me page:
"Hello, I hope you all are doing well!
My name is Mohamed Monir Ahmad Mahmoud, I’m a hemophilia patient from Gaza. I decided to start this campaign with all the hope that you could support me in evacuating Gaza to do surgery for me and my daughter and start a fresh life with my 5 kids out of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
I’m 37 years old and I have been suffering due to the lack of Factor IX in Gaza for years, but since the recent escalation started in Gaza, I didn’t have any access to medication or medical care due to the huge number of wounded at the hospital and the destruction of the hospitals that I used to get medicine from (TIKKA Hospital and AlRantisisi Hospital). Besides, I was forced to leave my apartment in Khan Younis due to the bombardment and the Israeli evacuating orders and now I live in a tent in Rafah Streets.
I was supposed to go out at the end of 2023 to have surgery on my knees but since 7 October, I had no chance due to the procedures on Rafah crossing, the gate of Gazans to the world. Now, my knees and elbows are bleeding with no access to any type of care and if things stand as they are in Gaza, I won’t be able to walk or make any effort because of the bleeding (currently I am barely able to set up a small fire in front of the tent to prepare food for my kids).
{A photo showing Mohamed holding two trash can lids above a small fire that is just starting out. Three of the kids are seen in the photo watching him}.
{Another photo is shown of Mohamed's knee, his leg extended. There is a big, pointed bump beside his knee cap the same color as the rest of his leg}.
The big issue is not me to be honest, it is my elder daughter Sana’a (11 years old), who needs to have surgery on her thigh. She had to do it as soon as possible because it affects the way she walks. The issue with Sana’a didn’t start recently as she was born with it. She went to Jordan, Egypt, and Jerusalem to do surgeries, but it wasn’t possible because she needed an advanced medical center that could do surgeries for people who carry the hemophilia gene which she inherited from me.
I had 4 other kids; 1 girl called Eman 10 years old, and 3 boys; Monir 7 years old, Jameel 5 Years old and Odai 2 years old.
What I ask is 60,000, for travel costs because each one would need to pay 5,000-8,000$ to be allowed to leave Gaza through Rafah crossing and we need around 3000$ more in Egypt for our stay and to obtain visas. We will be heading to Brazil where my brother Diaa lives and there is a huge chance to do the surgeries and access health care as the health care for Hemophilia patients in Brazil is one of the most advanced in the world.
When we go there, my brother will take care of our stay and our expenses. He also took care of the passports, but since the evacuating costs from Gaza are very high for the whole family, we need your support.
Thank You in Advance."
Finally, the last photo is an Overview of Hemophilia from Google, showing normal blood clotting (the red blood cells go smoothly through the tube while small clear cells, platelets, are covering up a cut) and the Inability to form blood clots (there are no platelets over the whole, so some red blood cells are spilling out). Next to those two pictures is a drawing of a girl in her dad's lab having a bloody nose. The text says:
"A rare condition in which the blood doesn't clot in the typical way when a person bleeds.
With hemophilia, bleeding might go on for a longer time after an injury than it would if the blood clotted properly. Often, small cuts aren't much of a problem. But serious forms of the condition raise the risk of bleeding inside the body. This can damage organs and tissues. The main risk factor for hemophilia is to have relatives who also have it." /End ID]
ATTENTION PEOPLE OF TUMBLR! If you support Palestine and want to help its people escape Gaza, read this post.
I've recently been trying to get more involved with Operation Olive Branch, an organization that amplifies the voices of Palestinian families trying to leave the country and gives people resources to go help them. I'm now going to start a series where every Saturday, I post information on a new family on the list, and I can give you all the resources you might need to help.
This is installment #2. Again, I went through a random number generator to see which family I could cover next, and I landed on line 254.
In this line, you are helping to evacuate 6 people. Mohamed Mahmoud, a 37 year old, and his children: Sana, who is 11; Eman, who is 10; Monir, who is 7; Jameel, who is 5; and Odai, who is 2.
When you click the link on the spreadsheet, you are taken to this page. I'll link it down at the end of the post. Here is the description of the GoFundMe:
For those confused, here's a brief summary of hemophilia, according to Google:
Hemophilia can be fatal or debilitating if not treated, so we need to get this family out of Gaza so that Mohamed and Sana can get properly treated. Their ultimate goal is €60,000, but they only have €12,078, which is about 20.13% of their goal. It seems like a huge amount has been donated, but it is still so far from hitting the goal!
To get the family to safety, we need to boost this post and make sure everyone hears their story. You should take on one of these three roles (or two or three, that's fine with me)
1. Amplify
Reblogs, likes, comments to spread the post around
Reads the full post to give the original poster and the family a moment of their time
Tries to get more people involved
Spreads the message everywhere
2. Post
Makes their own video/post on the subject
Makes sure the message spreads like wildfire
Gives resources so that people can help
Uses every technique they can so that people can see the post
3. Fund
Sends money to the family
Checks the spreadsheet and sends money to more families in need, not just the one posted
Also donates to other Palestinian charities, as well as those that benefit places like Congo and Sudan
Makes sure the family has enough funding to get out of their situation
While amplifying is the easiest job to take, if you are able to donate, please donate, even if it's $5. Everything matters. You can donate the bare minimum or the bare maximum. It will all go a long way.
While this fundraiser is being run by Mohamed's brother's colleague Serene Issa, more updates on the story can be found on the Twitter account of Diaa Mahmoud, a Palestinian creator who frequently updates his case and many others. https://x.com/DiaaMahmoud?s=20
Here's the link you can go to to view the family's story and donate:
And here's the link you can go to to view the entire Operation Olive Branch spreadsheet. If you can get yourself involved, please do.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vtMLLOzuc6GpkFySyVtKQOY2j-Vvg0UsChMCFst_WLA/htmlview
Thanks for helping, and see you next Sunday. Free Palestine!

fluff², Haechan x Reader,
Hyuck comes home to you and only granola bars. Or something of that sort
My praise kink jumped there once, woopsie
warnings: reader forgets to eat (unintentionally!!) some suggestive jokes and minor swearing.
hope u enjoy!
“Well hello to you too baby.” Haechan hummed, squatting down next to your collapsed frame on the couch.
Your laptop was still open, a half-finished draft of an assignment - an overview of Uruguay’s Economy and Trade Policy you had to hand in in about thirty hours - an empty water bottle right next to the hot device.
Haechan carefully pressed a feathery kiss to your forehead, causing you to open your eyes and blink tiredly against the light.
“Hyuck?” He just hummed, watching you push your upper body up just to collapse against him. With a soft laugh he wrapped his arms around you, preventing the both of you from falling back.
“How was your day?” The question was mumbled against the skin of his neck but Haechan didn’t mind it. He just hoisted you and himself up on the couch, letting you climb into his lap fully without you having to give up your spot in his neck.
“Stuffed. Lots of choreography slash repetition for the recordings later. And we did a VLIVE...” you nodded tiredly. That VLIVE you had witnessed, forty-five minutes of you staring at the screen with a dopey smile.
“I watched.” Haechan snorted surprised. “You did? Oh wow.” You lifted your head off his shoulders to look at him properly.
“Why so surprised, I always watch your guys’ livestreams. Besides it’s lots of fun.” He said nothing, just smiled. “You looked comfy.”
“Oh you think so? Missed having you there.” You just smirked agains his neck.
“Ah you had Jeno, no?” His response was to pinch your hips softly, causing you to squeak against his skin.
“I’m joking, I’m JOKING!”
Haechan clicked with his tongue, resting his hand on your hips again. “Have you eaten anything already?”
The silence that followed afterwards was answer enough. Haechan sighed deeply before making an attempt to get up.
“Noo stay here I’m good.” Haechan just shook his head.
“You have anything home? I can order...” before he could continue you pressed you lips against his.
“I’m not that hungry Hyuckie. Relax. I was working on my deadlines and other things for work I just didn’t feel like breaking my flow...” Haechan scoffed angrily.
“You need to eat. Don’t forget about your body amongst all the work, don’t forget about yourself! Baby!” You whined at his scolding, quickly pressing a trail of kisses against his jaw.
“I’m not doing it intentionally Hyuck. I’m just busy. But look I drank lots of water today!” You pointed at the - almost - empty bottle next to your improvised working station, doe-eyeing Haechan expectantly.
“Well...good. At least. Now let me find you some food, even if it’s just a granola bar or something...” Haechan mumbled after pressing a rewarding kiss to your lips.
“No objections! Let me take care of you now.”
You nodded, carefully slipping off his lap, not missing out on the chance to smack his butt when he got up.
Haechan just narrowed his eyes back at you, pointing two v-sign fingers first at his and then at your eyes.
“I’m watching you!” You just giggled.
“You know I was joking with the granola bars before. Now please tell me how thats actually the only edible thing in your flat is, babe. Are you good?”
“Listen up buddy, just because you make millions by making girls scream doesn’t mean I do that too. You know taxes and life expenses and bills and...” Haechan rolled his eyes.
“First of all, that’s not my job description. Second...”
“could however be in it. I’m not saying you don’t deserve it by the way. Get that bag, big boy.”
You were silenced with a granola bar before you boyfriend continued.
“Second, I know. But how can someone live without ramen?! And third, you know I pay for you okay? You would tell me if you needed anything, right?” You just hummed, drawing up your knees to your chest.
“I know Hyuckie, but I’m okay. I just have to remind myself to go grocery shopping once in a while and that takes so much effort...” Haechan flopped down beside you, leaning against your shoulders with a pout.
“I come and help you okay? I’ll get you a good snack bar or something, those five granola bars are a sad sight.
You just huffed, bringing one hand up to his hair to softly run your fingers through messy curls.
“Mhm.”
“Come to bed?” Haechan asked, right before took the empty wrapper of the granola bar from you hands and tossed it in the trash like the attentive boyfriend he could be. At times. Most of the times. When he wasn’t a cocky little shit-times.
Your yawn was again all he needed to hear before pulling you up and nudging you towards the bathroom where he insisted on taking care of your skin before hoping in the shower himself.
“Don’t peak yeah?” You just laughed.
“Nothing I haven’t seen before.” Haechan’s head appeared from between your shower curtains, nose scrunched up and lips curled into a smug smirk.
“Nothing you haven’t screamed about you mean. Since that’s apparently part of my job-description...” You flipped him off with a huff before exiting the bathroom.
“I knew it would get to your head.” You could hear Haechan laugh through the walls and couldn’t help but smile to yourself.
“Thanks for coming tonight.” You mumbled before you snuggled closer into his embrace. He smelled good, like himself and bit like your body wash even tho he always denied using it.
“All day, your highness granola, I hope you are satisfied with my service.”
You nuzzled you face closer into his chest. “Very much so Sir. Five stars on your Google review for sure.” Haechan’s chuckle vibrated through his whole chest. “Glad to hear that. That would be about seven grand in cash. Gotta get that bag, you know.” This time it was your turn to pinch his sides, eliciting a squeal to come out of his mouth.
“You can fulfil your Callboy-fantasies elsewhere Lee Donghyuck, because as long as you have a key to my door and your shampoo on my rack this is considered a relationship.” Haechan tightened his arms around you with a small but happy sigh.
“Alright alright. I make a special offer then. I give you thirty percent off and a discount code...”
“Donghyuck I swear to god...”
“To keep that 37.5% viewer rating...”
“Oh shut up.”
“I love you too.”

Title: Division of Labor (2/?)
Summary:
“The past years, we have noticed a lot of our fresh high school graduates knew nothing about responsibilities the that awaited them outside high school and even college. Many students do not master budgeting, taxes, household planning, loans and we hope to raise a generation who can navigate the adult world without the consequences of bad decisions they are bound to make going in blindly…”
Paradis High school starts a program incorporating adulting into their curriculum and Hange and Levi are paired together.

"This doesn't make any sense."
Jean had always been one of the more vocal ones in the classroom when it came to inconvenient developments. More often than not, people had just brushed off his complaints and banter as an inevitable part of his personality. That was one of the few times everyone else agreed with him.
The rest though just sat silently in the classroom while both Erwin and Shadis went out of the room, to get what was supposed to be their "kids."
Having taken classes on reproduction and health growing up, most if not all the people in the room already knew the amount of money it took to raise a child and the importance of contraception.
Oddly enough though, the number of kids was decided at random, only justified by the fact that they would never know how many dependents they'll have to care of one day.
"Every single one of you will be faced with the prospect of taking care of a dependent one day, maybe for a few years, maybe for decades," Erwin had explained. He had a natural charisma in the way he carried himself and spoke that made everyone in the room aware of their own tendency for altruism. Everyone had somebody in their life, they probably would have dug into their savings to support be it a mother, a sibling or a close friend.
They were all silently doing their own reflections of who that person would have been as Shadis passed around sacks of flour at random.
"Just be lucky you don't have to do this in real life yet. This adult experience is fucking watered down already. If we could simulate the pain of childhood or the stench of a dirty diaper, we would. " Shadis' words were a stark contrast to Erwin's.
Either way, everyone was too distracted by the number they were getting and the whole prospect of having sack babies in the first place to even react to his words.
"We initially thought of using actual eggs or flour but if you're going to be taking care of this for the whole year…” Erwin fell silent for a second. “That would be disgusting."
The sack was definitely much lighter than what Levi had expected. He squeezed it, noting the firmness of the sack. It was stuffed with cotton. They thought some of it through at least.
Erwin turned on his projector, looking undisturbed by the awkward silence in the room. "By the end of this month, these are what I expect from all of you," He started. "An overview of career plans, a meal plan, a house design based on real estate prices around the area and a breakdown of house responsibilities."
He moved his tacky pointer towards the line on meal plans. "Every two weeks you and your partner go to the supermarket, assess grocery prices and submit me a list of groceries you would buy and a meal plan based on that for the family you have with you. Remember, you are still limited by your wage and each sack represents an extra mouth to consider when you make the meal plan. I will be sending a more detailed version with the deadlines and a prescribed format through email.”
The class was silent for a time. The only notable sounds coming from that room were the scratching of pencil and paper and a few sighs. Hange was taking notes next to Levi while the latter wondered why she even bothered when Erwin was going to send the rest of the information through email after all.
Erwin spent a good few seconds taking stock of everyone in the room before letting out a subtle sigh of his own. "Don't look too overwhelmed, these assignments will be incorporated into all your other classes anyway. Just don't expect teachers from other subjects to spoon feed you though. As much as possible we want you to learn to work with it independently."
Division of Labor
Regardless of what Erwin said, everyone was left overwhelmed anyway. The prospect of having to deal with that heavy of a workload and having that performance affect their chances at college had people spending their precious one hour of lunch time with their partners.
Despite his generally antisocial personality, Levi was rarely alone for lunch. Most days he spent his breaks with his classmates Petra and Oluo. Sometimes Gunther and Eld from the other section would join in. That was unless he felt particularly compelled to spend a lunch break alone. It was as if everyone silently agreed to use that short hour to discuss and strategize with their partners. Levi did not even have time to protest that trend, as his own friends filed out of their seats with their partners, not even bothering to ask if he would be joining them for lunch.
Or did they even need to ask? Hange was right next to him, already taking out her lunch and looking at him expectantly. “Let’s go?”
“Wait, who said we were having lunch together?”
Hange gestured subtly at the already empty room, as if to ask him “what else?” Levi cursed himself for even complaining about groupmates who never pulled their weight. At that moment, an overly enthusiastic groupmate seemed more unbearable and Levi almost wished he could have gotten a lazy and uninterested groupmate instead. At least then he’d be able to decide for himself when to start working.
They sat on one of the picnic tables in the school courtyard, Hange with a boxed lunch and Levi with his homemade sandwich. Their two sack babies were stacked up to the side of the table.
"So what do we name them?" Hange asked.
Levi grabbed one of the sacks from the pile and propped it up on his lunch bag, an attempt to use that empty slate of a sack as a guide to imagining what should be a face. With that, Levi could pretend they were at least kind of living and maybe they did deserve names.
"Flour," Levi suggested. His attempts to see life in faceless sacks came out fruitless.
"Let's try to be a little more creative Levi."
"Why do we even have to give names to these things? They're not even alive. Like nobody is gonna press charges if I stabbed it right now anyway."
"Because they're grading us,” Hange took out a permanent marker and carefully drew a smiling face one sack. She made sure to add a few lines of what looked to be bangs. As she went for the other sack, Levi could not help but notice the goofy smile that appeared on her face.
Levi narrowed his eyes. "You're enjoying this?”
"We’re here. Might as well enjoy it right?" Hange shrugged." If you're not gonna name them. I will." She propped the one she had just finished drawing on, up on Levi’s lunch bag. “This is Flora.” She continued drawing on the other sack. “And this is Fauna."
The names sounded to Levi like science terms he had learned too long ago and had wanted to forget. They flew into one ear and out the other within seconds and Levi had settled for internally naming the sacks the first thing he thought of when he saw Hange's artwork: “ugly bangs” and “eyelash.”
He made sure not to tell Hange though. She seemed way too enthusiastic about her naming choices.
Division of Labor
Although Levi did have a natural talent with numbers, this potential remained untapped through most of high school. The most apparent reason for this being the fact that the person teaching them Math, at one of the most important times in their high school life was an utter prick.
That utter prick of a Math teacher during their sophomore year made a comeback as their teacher for their junior year. He did not look too happy about it either. Levi at least shared that same sentiment.
"So I'm supposed to be teaching you guys about taxes but really, believe me, you won't really use half of this shit, just hire an accountant.” Zeke Yaeger propped his feet on the teacher’s table, not bothering to even explain the table of tax rates he had flashed as a powerpoint slide next to him. “ Or... just get an employer, they’ll calculate it for you anyway.”
“Do you mean get a job sir?” It was Marco who so politely asked the question.
“Get a job, get an employer, same banana.” Zeke answered, in between gulps of coffee.
Somehow everyone knew that getting a job would probably be not as easy as the phrase “get an employer” implied it to be. Zeke was their teacher though and he probably knew much more than they did, given the decades of work experience he had in his belt.
“Don’t we need to know how to calculate our taxes based on the table?” Armin asked. He looked to his partner Annie who seemed to be furiously taking notes.
Zeke looked once again at the board for a few minutes before slamming his cup on the table, spilling out some coffee in the process. “Just remember, if your employer promises you 70,000 dollars a year, don’t be surprised when you end up taking home 50,000 dollars coz of some bullshit about the government needing money, insurance and retirement.” He rolled his eyes. “Not like we all live that long to enjoy that K410 nonsense anyway.” He added bitterly, adding some venom on that part about that string of numbers in particular.
“If we own a business, how do we file them?” Annie asked.
“No one needs to know how to do this. Besides, you’re all in high school. Don’t stress yourself over this. Like I said before, just get an accountant.”
“What if we can’t afford an accountant?”
“Then don’t own a fucking business.” Zeke rolled his eyes. “Fine… Look, I didn’t prepare for that question, gimme a sec.”
The class watched as he closed the powerpoint, quickly opened an incognito window and went on google.
How to file taxes as business owners?
Zeke stared at the next few pages for what seemed like minutes, before clicking on one particular page.
“So yeah, it looks like you just fill out this form and send the money to the tax office.” He shrugged. “Your generation grew up with ipads glued to your faces. I’m sure you’re way better in googling shit than I am so yeah, just google the rest of what you need. Free period until your next class, now go talk about your fake taxes or your fake house or something.”
Division of Labor
Even with the free period Zeke had so generously given them, no one was able to start anything until they got home. It was eight in the evening when Levi opened his school email to find the information on their next tasks, which was sent only a few minutes ago.

Levi did not even have time to finish scanning through the guide to their housing plan task as his computer started to slow down, unable to take the quick scrolling. He soon realized it was not the scrolling that had made the computer so dysfunctional. On the lower right of his screen, he saw the notification.
Hange Zoe
New Message
The badge next to his messaging app, quickly rose from 12 unread messages to 26 to 45. Even the screen looked unable to display the messages properly. Wanting to save his computer from anymore torture, Levi grabbed his phone from his bed side and called his partner.
“If you have a lot of things you need to tell me, call .” Levi said, not even bothering to wait for a hello from Hange.
“Oh great! So you did get the messages! For a while I was wondering if your messenger app was broken.”
Levi looked back at the screen to see that the badge next to his app was already displaying a “99+.” If his application or his laptop was not broken then, it might break when he opens the application.
“What the hell are you sending anyway?” Levi asked, delaying the inevitable of having to open the messaging app.
“Links to houses for the housing plan,” Hange answered matter-of-factly. “Unless you’d rather I just say the links out loud for you to type it in the browser yourself.”
With a part of him so nervous at the possibly of his computer hanging or even breaking, Levi had ended having to slam his finger on his mouse when he opened the messaging app. He looked away not wanting to see how his computer tried to process the 99+ messages.
He lay on his bed opening the file on his phone.
“So, since I’m working freelance, I pretty much have a work from home job so we can live anywhere. We have two kids, so what do you think of a three bedroom house?”
“A ‘house house?” Levi looked around at his own living space which his uncle rented for him. He lived in a studio apartment and the concept of living in a house, even in a simulation seemed too unrealistic. “Like a house, with two floors, and multiple bedrooms?”
“And a garden!” Hange said excitedly. “So Flora and Fauna can run around.”
It took Levi a few seconds to comprehend that Hange was discussing their flour sack babies running around an imaginary garden. Levi was sure Hange was not an idiot though and had decided to at least entertain the expensive option of a fully furnished three bedroom house with a sprawling garden. “And, how were the prices?” Levi walked back to his computer to see that most of his messages had already loaded.
“Well, I found some for 1500 dollars a month, others for 1800 dollars a month. I earn 3600 dollars a month apparently, so I don’t think spending half of it on rent would be too much right?”
“I mean, it’s your wages right?” Levi replied. In truth, a part of him just did not want to go through all one hundred houses Hange had linked him too on the messaging application just to decide on a house.
Hange sent a picture of a split level house, with a wide front garden. “This is my favorite! It comes with a large backyard. And it only costs 1800 dollars a month!”
Only 1800 dollars a month. Levi almost choked. The words “only” and “1800 dollars a month” just seemed too absurd to his ears that someone saying it so casually had him speechless even if Hange was talking about a three bedroom house with a sprawling garden. He cleared his throat. “You’re the breadwinner.”
“Okay! Let’s design the house! I’ll move to my laptop.”
For some reason, Levi had a bad feeling about the listing Hange had shown him. He quickly brushed it away as it came, attributing it to the fact that he never really grew up with enough money to entertain the idea of spending on luxuries. He lived with less than three hundred dollars a month after all, all funded by his absent uncle.
Hange had seemed confident with her decision though.
I’ll stick to what I know best. In the end, Levi decided to leave the larger purchases to Hange. Hehad confidence only in his ability to manage a household. Maybe he would be able to contribute then.

Friday night
The quiet hum of whatever playlist was going in the car while you looked out the passenger window at the passing trees framed against the darkening orange sky was nice background noise in the otherwise silent car; you’d been driving for the better part of the last two and a half hours on the way up to your uncle’s cabin (or, well, Akaashi had been driving but you were in the car with him and navigating with google maps so that counted for something) for the long weekend, and the sky was slowing turning into the soft dusk before night fell and the sun completely set and you couldn’t help but snuggle more into the sweater you were wearing as Akaashi switched lanes to take the next exit—you weren’t far away now, a quick glance at your phone telling you that you had maybe half an hour, if that, before you reached the cabin.
Bokuto was in the car with the two of you, but you never would have known that with how quiet he’d been. Well, for the last little while anyway—when the three of you had finished packing the van after Akaashi’s last class of the day he’d been full of energy, but as the trip went on he’d fallen asleep in the backseat with his headphones on. You’d taken plenty of pictures of him (with Akaashi informing you that he expected to have them sent to him later. Like that was even a question), and you’d have to remember that car rides put him to sleep. It might come in handy later. You had enjoyed the silence that came after a number of rounds of “LOOK AT THE COWS! (Y/N)! AKAASHI! COWS! AND HORSES! HORSES!” before Bokuto had settled in for a nap, but you were also very happy to see Akaashi turn onto the long dirt road that led right up to the cabin.
“Are we going to have to wake him up when we get there?” you asked, and Akaashi shook his head as he drove. You turned off the navigation on your phone and unplugged Akaashi’s phone from the aux cord and put both into the bag you had sitting at your feet.
“No, as soon as the car comes to a stop he’ll wake up,” Akaashi told you. “He’d better, at least. Or I’m going to make Kuroo carry him and all of his stuff inside.” You couldn’t help but laugh at that—even though you were pretty sure your boyfriend was absolutely serious despite the small smile on his face. True to his word, though, as soon as he’d parked the car off to the side of the cabin Bokuto was yawning and stretching out in the backseat. You could see the headlights of Kuroo’s car approaching from the right side, closest to you, and you were glad that they hadn’t been too far behind.
“I can’t believe your uncle gave you his cabin for the weekend!” Bokuto said, and you looked over your shoulder to see him bouncing in the backseat. His favourite yellow and grey blanket was balled up on the seat beside him, and his headphones had either disappeared into the dark void behind Akaashi’s seat or (hopefully) into the mess that was Bokuto’s travel bag. “I’ve never been to one before! This is exciting!” You smiled at him.
“It’s a really cozy place! I have a lot of good memories here,” you told him. Which was true; you’d spent a lot of holidays here with your family over the years while you’d been growing up. Once you’d entered high school, though, everyone seemed to get too busy to come up here anymore, which was why it was empty this weekend and your uncle had been more than happy to let you use it to have a nice holiday weekend with your friends.
The three of you got out of the car, with Bokuto going on about how excited he was and how much fun he was going to have, and made your way around to the rear of the vehicle to start unloading everything. Kuroo got out of his car to join the three of you, and it wasn’t long before Hinata was bounding up beside you, seemingly full of energy.
“Kenma’s sleeping in the backseat. Or he might be faking sleep so he doesn’t have to carry anything in. Either way, I’ll carry him in when we’re finished if he doesn’t wake up first,” Kuroo told you, and you nodded. If you hadn’t been on navigation duty you might have taken a nap yourself, it was a long trip. You were really looking forward to collapsing into bed as soon as possible, actually.
“If he’s faking he gets to do the dishes while we’re here,” Akaashi said. Kuroo laughed loudly. You reached out and took your boyfriend’s hand, squeezing it gently. Akaashi squeezed back. You looked to Bokuto and Hinata, who were talking excitedly amongst themselves.
“Hey guys, we’re going to bring everything inside now,” you said, raising your voice to get their attention. It worked; the two of them stopped talking to look to you and nod. “Groceries go inside first and put them on the kitchen table and the counters, and we’ll figure out what needs to go where once we have it all inside. I’ll show you guys where the kitchen is, okay?”
“Okay!” The two of them were speaking in unison now, and it was kind of cute. Akaashi and Kuroo voiced their own affirmatives as well, and you started digging through your bag for the keys while the four of them set about popping open the trunks on both cars and starting to unload everything. You found the keys and walked up the front door, using them to unlock the door before you pushed it open. You flipped the switches near the door to turn the porch light as well as the front hall light on, before sticking your head back out the door.
“Door’s unlocked! I’m gonna start turning all the lights on and cleaning up a bit!” you called out, and received some sort of affirmative reply from everyone else. You went back inside and pulled the door closed behind you. You pulled your boots off and left them on the shoe mat close to the front door. You pushed the sleeves of your sweater up as you dropped your keys back into your bag and dug out one of the bottles of Lysol wipes you’d brought with you to do some light cleaning. No one had been here in a while and it was probably more than a little dusty. You took out a wipe and started wiping down the light switch by the front door, and then wandered down the front hall until you came on the doorway to the kitchen. You flipped the lights on and started wiping things down—the light switch, the kitchen table, the chairs, the counters, the island… there was a growing pile of used wipes on the farthest end of the counter by the time Bokuto and Kuroo came in with the big cooler that held the turkey and the smaller cooler that held all the other things that needed to be kept cold. They left to go get some more of the stuff you’d all brought from the cars, and you continued cleaning. They were in and out a few more times, depositing all of the food you’d brought and then presumably going to grab everything else from the car. You were wiping down the outside of the fridge when Akaashi came in with some grocery bags.
“It’s nice in here,” he commented, and you turned to see him pulling out a garbage bag. He fitted it into the garbage can in the kitchen and deposited your pile of dirty Lysol wipes in there for you. “I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it’s nice.” You finished wiping down the fridge and came to drop your latest wipe into the garbage.
“It is, isn’t it?” You pressed a small kiss to Akaashi’s cheek, and he kissed yours in return. “I always loved it here growing up, I spent a lot of really great holiday weekends here. Playing in the leaves outside, wearing big sweaters and coming inside to warm apple cider, hot chocolate, and tons of food and snacks by the fire… I think we’ll have a lot of fun.” He nodded.
The two of you started unpacking everything and moving it into either the fridge or the freezer, depending on where it needed to go. It wasn’t long before the others came in to help the two of you—even Kenma was awake now, shuffling in with Hinata. It was quick work between all of you, and before you knew it you were leaning back against the counter.
“So there are three bedrooms plus the pull out couch in the den, and my uncle said he left two air mattresses in the linen closet,” you told everyone. “Since we’re already here we can divide up the bedrooms, and if anyone wants to take the couch or use an air mattress then you definitely can. And whatever is left over can be used by whoever comes up tomorrow or Sunday.”
“Dibs on rooming with Kenma!” Hinata yelled, loudly and suddenly, and Kuroo frowned.
“Hey, no fair!” he said, and Hinata stuck his tongue out. Kenma looked back and forth between the two, and then looked at you.
“Air mattress in the living room,” he said, and you brought your hand up to hide a laugh as Hinata protested with a pout and jumped on the older male. Bokuto took this opportunity to sling his arm around Kuroo’s shoulders.
“Hey hey hey! We can room together! It’ll be just like high school, at camp!” he reasoned, and Kuroo furrowed his brows—but you could see the smile on his face. Akaashi’s arm came to rest around your waist, and you leaned into him as you felt his warmth on your right side. His sweater was really cozy, too; you’d make a mental note of which one he was wearing so you could borrow it later.
“So then (Y/N) and I will be in one room, Kuroo and Bokuto will be in another, and Kenma and Hinata will take the last room. Then whoever else shows up gets to fight over the couch and the air mattresses. Sounds good?” Akaashi asked, and he received various affirmative responses.
“I’ll grab everyone clean sheets from the linen closet, and I’ll show you guys where the bathrooms are,” you told them. You stepped away from the counter and started walking out of the kitchen. “Things might be a little dusty so feel free to grab some Lysol wipes! All the sheets and pillows and blankets are in boxes and they were washed the last time my uncle was up here so they’ll all be clean for us.”
You found the linen closet after a little bit of searching, and then began to distribute them among everyone. Once you’d finished, you closed the closet door and led everyone towards the bedrooms. Kenma and Hinata were first, on one side of the bathroom, and then Kuroo and Bokuto to the bathroom on the other side.
“There’s another bathroom near the kitchen, but that one is just a toilet. This one has a full working tub and shower,” you explained, pointing out the bathroom door. You then turned around, and pointed to the door across the hall. “Akaashi and I will be in that room, and if you guys need any help finding anything let me know!” Everyone nodded and went about setting their rooms up. You opened the door and let Akaashi into the room you’d be occupying.
You hadn’t told the others, but you’d given you and your boyfriend the biggest room. It was because of you that you had the cabin, after all, and you’d always wanted to stay in this room when you were a kid, but it was normally reserved for your uncle. You’d kind of been planning this for a while.
“Do we have two closets?” Akaashi asked, putting the sheet set down for a moment to point to the two doors across from the bed. You smiled, coming around to stand in front of one of the doors.
“No, but we do have our own bathroom,” you said, bringing your finger to your lips as you opened the door to the ensuite. A smile graced Akaashi’s face as he came closer to take a look. It was a really nice little bathroom, with its own toilet, sink, vanity, shower, and (the best part) its own gigantic tub. That had jets. You fully intended to soak in it one night after everyone else had gone to bed.
“That’s sneaky,” Akaashi said. “I approve.” You laughed and closed the door to the bathroom. The two of you set about getting the bed ready, and before long it was comfy and warm and you flopped down on top of the covers. Akaashi was browsing the bookshelves near the window on the wall beside the bathroom. “Hm… can I borrow some of these? They seem interesting, and I wanted something to read outside of the stuff for my classes.” You waved your hand, giving him a thumbs up.
“You’re the only person I know who is still reading for fun right now,” you told him, and you felt the bed dip slightly beside you as he sat down next to you.
“That’s because no one else knows how to properly manage their time,” Akaashi said. You opened your mouth and he cut you off with, “I don’t need a lecture from you, coffee and the amount I sleep have me functioning just fine, thank you, and it’s just until I get accepted into grad school. Do we need to talk about how many shows you’ve watched on Netflix instead of doing your coursework?”
You loved your boyfriend, you did, even if he never let you get away with anything. Which is part of what you loved and it did always help you in the end, but still. He nudged your shoulder and got up off the bed, and you watched him circle around to the other side of the room.
“I’m going to get our bags so we can go to bed,” he told you, and you nodded. You closed your eyes as he left, and the next thing you knew he was shaking your shoulder. You opened your eyes and you couldn’t help the yawn that came out as you saw Akaashi hovering over you. You looked away from his face and saw he had some clothes in his hands, and he himself was wearing one of his sleep shirts. “You fell asleep,” he explained, “so I went ahead and brought everything in here and got changed. You should get ready for bed, love, and then we can go to sleep.”
You nodded, sitting up and taking the clothes from him and waking up enough to get up. You went about your nighttime routine and then, once you were changed and cleaned up, you crawled into bed next to Akaashi. He pressed a kiss to your forehead as you closed your eyes again, and it wasn’t long at all before you were asleep once more.
——
Saturday
Saturday morning passed quietly and pretty uneventfully. You gave everyone a tour of the cabin after breakfast, showing them where everything was kept and even the area behind the cabin that was full of trees and crunchy leaves, and even a swing that was attached to one of the trees out back. Hinata absolutely had to jump in all of the leaf piles created by the trees, and even Kenma let Kuroo push him on the swing while you recorded everything.
Time passed quickly, and then the six of you settled down in the living room to play some board games. It wasn’t long after you’d started playing and everyone had lunch when Bokuto asked what kind of dessert was gonna be served after the big dinner the next day.
“Um… I mean I brought a pumpkin pie, and since Akaashi and I are cooking he didn’t bring any sweets,” you said, thinking. You brought a hand up to rub at your chin. “Did anyone else bring anything?”
“My mom sent a cheesecake! And some cherries and strawberries to go with it. It’s in the fridge,” Hinata said. Kuroo shook his head, and Kenma shrugged.
“Yaku said he’s bringing something when he and Kai come tonight, but I don’t know if it’ll be food food or if it’ll be dessert,” Kuroo said. Ah, right, it’d slipped your mind that the other two Nekoma grads were coming later tonight. They both had prior commitments yesterday and this morning, but Kuroo had sent them directions and they were supposed to be coming to the cabin around dinner time.
“Is Lev coming?” Hinata asked, and Kuroo shook his head. The smaller orange haired man pouted. “Aw, that sucks! But Yamaguchi said he and Tsukishima will video call tomorrow before dinner! Tsukishima’s brother is home from America so they want to spend some time with him.” He started talking to Kenma about other people they’d gone to school with, and you leaned back into Akaashi’s side. His sweater was so soft, and you couldn’t help yourself as you rested your cheek on his shoulder. His hand found yours, and he started rubbing circles into the back of your hand with his thumb.
“I want apple pie!” Bokuto interrupted, hanging off the front of the chair he was sitting on. “Can we have apple pie? Please?” He clasped his hands in front of him, doing his best attempt at puppy dog eyes. You’d known him long enough to be able to resist them.
“Bo, we don’t have any apple pie,” you told him, but that just seemed to spur him on as his pout grew bigger.
“Apple pie does sound good, though,” Kenma said, looking up from the game console in his hand. “Can we get some?”
“There aren’t any grocery stores close enough,” you said, but you thought for a moment. There was a place… but you didn’t know if it was still open or not. You’d gone there plenty of times as a kid, and it might be fun. “But we might be able to get one at the local farm. They have an apple orchard that’s open to the public… I just don’t know if it’s still open. If it is, we could go and pick some apples and see if they have any pies for sale?”
“Apple picking! Apple picking!” Hinata started chanting, and soon Bokuto was joining in. Even Kuroo started to follow along, and you heard Akaashi sigh beside you. You pulled out your phone to see if the farm was still open to the public, and a quick google search confirmed that yes, indeed, you could definitely find apples and enough apple pie to make Kenma and Bokuto happy.
So that was how, half an hour later, you were squished between Hinata and Bokuto (who absolutely insisted on sitting next to Akaashi with his arm around him) on the tiny makeshift ‘train’ that was taking you from the main area of the farm to the apple orchard. They were definitely excited, and you did have a warm feeling in your chest as you saw the rows of trees come into view.
The train came to a halt and one of the employees who was riding in the front of the train explained how it would work—everyone was to fill their bag to the line just underneath the handles from the rows of trees with big signs in front denoting what kinds of apples would be found on those trees, and the rows without signs weren’t quite ripe yet and should be avoided if possible. Everyone stepped off the train following this, and you handed out the plastic bags for the apples to everyone who wanted one.
“Pick whatever kind of apples you want, and we’ll all meet back here for the next train! Does that sound good?” you asked, and there were nods all around. Akaashi took one of your hands in his and the two of you walked towards a row of Gala apples, while the other four disappeared off into their own rows.
“These are my favourite kind of apples,” Akaashi said as you showed him how to pick one without damaging the tree; turning it upside down and twisting it off. You gave the apple to him, and he smiled at you with his whole face. His lips turned up and he closed his eyes, little crow’s feet appearing at the corners and you couldn’t help the smile that came over your own face as you brushed his hair out of his face with your free hand. Looking around to make sure no one was watching—Akaashi was not a huge fan of public displays of affection—you pressed a soft kiss to his lips. He kissed you back, gently, before pulling away. The wind picked up and blew through the leaves and ruffled your boyfriend’s hair and honestly, you were definitely going to buy Bokuto the best Christmas gift ever for suggesting that all of you come here and letting you see the beautiful sight in front of you.
You both picked some apples in relative silence, taking your phone out to get some nice photos to remember the experience by—you even snuck in a few of Akaashi, which you’d keep for later. You wanted to get some of the two of you, but you also wanted them to be nice portrait style shots, not just selfies, and you were chewing on your lip and trying to think of how you could do it without a selfie stick before a flash of orange the next row over gave you an idea.
“Hinata! Could you take some photos of me and Akaashi? Please?” you asked, waving to the younger male. He nodded happily, setting his bag of apples down and running over. You offered your phone, and he opened up the camera app as you wrapped your arms around Akaashi’s waist and smiled. You felt his arms wrap around your shoulders, and Hinata tapped the screen of your phone to take what you assumed was a few photos.
“You guys should do some poses picking some apples! For the aesthetic!” he encouraged you, and you looked to your boyfriend and silently asked him if that was okay. He pretended to think it over a moment before nodding. You kissed his cheek and then moved to one of the nearby apple trees and the two of you started picking some slow enough to let Hinata take a few photos. After a few moments you stopped, and Hinata handed you your phone.
“Thank you!” you said, giving him a hug. He laughed and squeezed you back. He went back to grab his bag of apples, and you called out, “Stay close by! The next train should be coming soon and then we can head back to grab some pie for tomorrow!” Hinata gave you a thumbs up before disappearing down the next row over.
You and Akaashi set about filling up your bag together, wandering through some nearby rows for some variety. By the time your bag was full the temperature had dropped a few degrees and you came to sit on the bench near the train area. You huddled close to your boyfriend, apples beside him on the bench, and you waited for the others. Hinata came by not long after, sitting on your other side, and then you saw Kenma (who had not taken a bag earlier) wander over with his phone in hand. But there was no sign of Bokuto and Kuroo. You waited a few minutes before you started looking around, but you couldn’t see them anywhere.
“Keiji, did you see where Bo and Kuroo went?” you asked Akaashi, who shook his head. Kenma looked up towards the two of you.
“They went down that way,” he said quietly. You furrowed your eyebrows, and he pointed down towards the far end of the orchard, well past where all of you had been. None of those rows had any signs on them so you’d known none of them would be ready. Obviously the other two hadn’t realized that.
“What were you doing when the two of them took off to the other side of the orchard? Where we were told not to go?” you asked, and Kenma motioned back in the direction of the barn that held the cows, which was only a few minute walk away. The train was mostly for the aesthetic and the experience (and so that families with small children didn’t have to walk too far).
“I was over on the bench,” he told you, and you could make out a small bench next to the barn. You could definitely imagine Kenma sitting over there, hiding from any little kids that might wander up to him and ask to play his games or use his phone—Kenma always attracted kids, and it always annoyed him when he was interrupted in playing so it would be the perfect spot to hide from them while still pretending he’d been wandering around the orchard and hadn’t managed to find any good apples.
“Why didn’t you stop them?” Akaashi asked, and Kenma once again gestured towards the barn.
“Because I was over on the bench.” You shook your head, and you heard Akaash sigh. Kenma shoved his hands into the pocket of his hoodie and rocked back and forth on his feet.
“We should go and find Bokuto before he has a full meltdown.” You nodded, and stood up with him. “Can you two watch the apples, please? We’ll be back soon.”
“You got it!” Hinata said, and Kenma nodded as he settled into occupying your vacant spot now that you’d stood up.
Thankfully Bokuto and Kuroo weren’t too far down when you found them. Bokuto was in tears, surrounded by what were no doubt sour apples, while Kuroo was sitting underneath one of the apple trees.
“AKAASHI!” Bokuto cried, throwing himself at the younger male. Akaashi accepted the embrace gracefully, patting his best friend on the back gently as Bokuto babbled on about being left to die. You walked over and held out a hand to help Kuroo up, and he smiled at you as he took it and stood up. He brushed his jeans off with one hand, and picked up a half full bag of apples.
“Those probably aren’t ripe enough,” you said, and he shrugged. He kept hold of the bag, though.
“Yeah… Bo tried to eat some and started crying about starving and being stuck with poison apples,” he said, and you tried to hide your laugh behind a cough as he winked at you. “We were too far to see the train or any of you and he was worried we’d been left behind.”
“And you?” you asked, smiling at him. He smiled back.
“I wasn’t worried,” he said. He shoved his hands in his pockets. “Kenma wouldn’t let you guys leave without me. Who else would drive him home? I have his charger cords in my car and he won’t leave without those.” That was smart, you had to admit. You’d have to remember that.
“We should probably get going, we don’t want to miss the train,” Akaashi said, and you looked from Kuroo to your boyfriend, who had managed to calm Bokuto down enough to get him to let go. You nodded, and the two of them turned around and started walking back to where you’d come from. Kuroo put his hand between your shoulder blades and the two of you started walking behind them. You talked quietly while you walked, asking Kuroo about how his classes were coming this semester and him asking about your plans for the coming winter holidays because Yaku was having a Christmas party and wanted everyone that had been friends with him at Nekoma to stop by (and of course that meant you, who’d graduated the same year as Kenma and Yamamoto) and you agreed because it would be so nice to get everyone together again.
The four of you made it just in time to catch the train, and you took your bag of apples from a smiling Hinata who squished in beside Kenma on the benches in the train car, and you settled in between Kuroo and Akaashi to continue getting details about Yaku’s party.
The six of you rode the train back to the main area of the farm, and after thanking the drivers and farm workers, you wandered into the general store near the exit. Everyone had fun, looking through all the homemade blankets and scarves and different items scattered around. You helped Kenma and Bokuto pick out two apple pies, and even grabbed some ice cream made from the dairy on the farm. Once everyone had gotten what they needed, you all walked back to the two cars you’d taken and piled in.
The ride back to the cabin from the orchard had been fairly uneventful, and by the time you made it back Bokuto was bouncing back into good spirits. He and Hinata took the volleyball that one of them had brought and went around the back to throw it around while you busied yourself putting everything away. Akaashi took one of your uncle’s books and settled on the couch to do some reading while Kenma curled up for a small nap. Kuroo sat at the island in the kitchen while you moved about, working on some lab reports and coursework. He also helped you get dinner ready while everyone else was busy—just some pasta and garlic bread, nothing fancy. The fancy dinner was tomorrow night, after all.
Yaku and Kai made it to the cabin right around dinner time, and the two of them joined you at the table when they came in. You were quick to give them both hugs and plates of food, and took their bags into the living room while they settled in. They didn’t bring any dessert, so you were glad you’d grabbed the pies while you’d been out, but they did bring some homemade cranberry sauce and some of Kai’s legendary macaroni and cheese (which you absolutely hugged him for, he only made that on really special occasions and Kuroo mumbled something about favouritism). You laughed, and joined them at the table once you’d finished.
After dinner—and Kenma doing the dishes as Akaashi followed through on his words from the night before—everyone gathered in the living room to relax and play board games well into the night. It was only after Yaku almost flipped the table over when Kuroo hit him with his third consecutive ‘draw four’ card in Uno that you all decided to call it a night and you taught Yaku and Kai how to use the pull out couch in the living room.
——
Sunday
You really had to remind yourself that you loved your boyfriend and you loved your friends when the alarm you’d set on your phone informed you through a series of annoying bells, chirps, and other vaguely recognizable noises that if dinner was going to be ready on time you absolutely had to get up now. Especially since you’d snoozed the other four alarms you’d set for yourself because you’d known this exact situation was going to happen. Who the hell could actually get up at four in the morning?
“(Y/N), we need to get up now,” Akaashi’s voice, low and coming from somewhere vaguely to your left, reminded you that yes, your boyfriend could get up this early. Or maybe he just hadn’t gone to bed. You could never be sure (at least not until he crashed at some point the next day). You felt his lips brush lightly against your shoulder and you groaned, reaching out in the dark to smack your phone until it stopped making noise. Which took a few tries, but you were tired and really just wanted to stay under the covers and sleep curled up next to Akaashi.
Akaashi’s lips ghosted over the shell of your ear. “Love, come on. We have to get the turkey in, and then you can go back to bed. I’ll even let you sleep in,” he whispered, and you groaned. You pushed yourself up on the bed and used one hand to rub at your eyes once you were sat up fully.
“‘M not getting dressed for this,” you told your boyfriend, and you heard him chuckle. “Should have just stayed home.”
“Oh no, I am not risking burning down the entire apartment building because Bokuto doesn’t know how to thaw a turkey properly. Again. We are never hosting there and he is never cooking for us. We’re ordering takeout next time,” he said, and you laughed. That woke you up just a bit more, and you managed to get up and out of bed. The two of you quietly made it from the bedroom to the kitchen, and you set about getting the turkey prepped and ready. You’d done some of the work the night before, getting the bird cleaned and prepped, but now you actually had to get it ready to cook. You handled getting the turkey pan and the bacon wrap for the turkey ready while Akaashi handled the stuffing.
It didn’t take too long for the two of you to get it all put together, and then you put it in the oven once it had been preheated and set the timer according to the weight of the turkey (which, oh my god, to feed this many people you’d had to get a bigger turkey than you’d ever even thought possible and you knew it was a miracle it even fit in the oven).
You cleaned up, yawning the entire time, and eventually Akaashi came up behind you, his chin resting on your shoulder as his arms came around you and helped guide you through washing up the dishes (you hadn’t wanted to leave these until Kenma woke up, and the two of you would need the space to get everything else ready for dinner later on anyway). Akaashi kept his arms around you as he led you back to your bedroom and helped you climb into bed. You curled up, closing your eyes because it was still horribly early and you definitely did not want to be awake any longer than you had to be. You heard Akaashi close the door in the silence of the room, and then you felt the space beside you dip lower as he climbed into bed with you.
“I love you, (Y/N),” he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. You smiled and mumbled the same back, and you felt the warm weight of his arm around your shoulders and he held you close, continuing to whisper to you as you drifted off back to sleep.
You woke up some time later, warm and snuggled up in your blankets, and you stretched out comfortably in bed. You saw sunshine coming in through the sheer curtains covering the window, and you took your time getting up and getting ready. Akaashi wasn’t in the room with you, which meant he’d either gotten up earlier than you or hadn’t gone to sleep at all—and knowing him, it was most likely the latter. You went through your morning routine, using the bathroom to get freshened up and ready for the busy day ahead, before you got dressed and headed out to join the others.
They were all lounging in the living room, and you received various greetings when you came in. It was later than you thought it was, but that was okay. You sat next to Akaashi on the loveseat, and Hinata handed you one of the apples you had picked the previous day. It was a nice and relaxing day, at least for the moment, and you couldn’t help but bask in it. Between school and life and all of the extracurriculars that everyone had taking up their time, it was really rare for all of you to be able to get together like this. That’s partially why you had started this tradition in your first year; Bokuto had suggested it, wanting to spend time with his friends.
First year had been a rough adjustment, moving from high school to university level studies, and right around this time you knew you’d been feeling a little burnt out. And since Bokuto wasn’t heading home to see his parents until winter break, he suggested everyone coming together at someone’s place and having a potluck style dinner to give everyone a temporary break and spend some much needed time together to recharge. You had been the one to call it Friendsgiving, and that’s how the tradition had been formed. Kuroo had hosted it that first year and made the turkey himself, so you’d all decided that every year someone else would take turns to make it fair. It was usually just one day for dinner, but after last year’s… accident where Bokuto had been a little overeager and assured everyone he’d known what he was doing with the turkey (he hadn’t) and almost burning down his and Akaashi’s (and yours, technically, but that had been before you’d fully moved in with the two of them and you had a feeling Akaashi asked you sooner than he’d planned to make sure that situation didn’t happen again) apartment, Akaashi had refused to let the two of you cook in the apartment. So here you were. And you were really, really glad your uncle had said yes when you’d begged him to let you use the cabin.
True to Hinata’s word, Yamaguchi and Tsukishima did video chat early on in the afternoon—you all gathered around Kuroo’s laptop to say hello, and to wish them a happy holiday. Tsukishima liked to huff and act like this was an inconvenience, that it was all for Yamaguchi’s benefit, but you caught the way the creases in his forehead smoothed as he got into talking about the volleyball league he was playing in outside of school was doing, or while listening to Yamaguchi talk about what Yachi was up to lately. It was good to see the two of them looking so relaxed, and they promised they’d come next year for sure.
“The cabin looks so nice! Are we going to head there every year?” Yamaguchi had asked.
“I hope so! It’s so fun, you guys!” Hinata said, a big and bright smile on his face as he gestured widely with his hands (and just barely missed smacking Kenma upside the head). “We went to a farm and picked apples! And there’s so much space outside, me and Bokuto jumped in leaf piles and practiced tossing for each other! I definitely think you guys and Kageyama need to come next year!”
“Are you sure you should be telling us to come when it isn’t even yours to use in the first place?” Tsukishima asked, a smirk on his face, but his tone was playful and lacking any actual venom. Hinata’s cheeks and the tips of his ears turned pink, and he looked at you while scratching the back of his head. You saw Yamaguchi elbow Tsukishima and you shrugged.
“I mean, I won’t be cooking next year but I don’t see why we can’t make this a more permanent thing if my uncle agrees,” you said, and both Bokuto and Hinata let out loud cheers. You ruffled their hair, and the conversation continued for another half hour or so before the two of them had to go and help Tsukishima’s parents get ready for dinner. You’d all bit them goodbye, and then you and Akaashi were in the kitchen getting the rest of the food made. Kenma and Hinata got the dining room table prepped, and everyone else set about minor tasks while you and your boyfriend set about heating up pre-made dishes, and getting the rest of the food besides the turkey made and ready to go.
You turned on some soft music while the two of you cooked, talking in low voices about what you were doing sometimes, other times humming along or singing to what was playing, and before you knew it everything had been cooked, heated, prepared, and was ready to be served. You placed the pies in the oven to stay warm while you ate dinner before you left the kitchen. Everyone took turns bringing dishes out to the dining room and setting them on the table. The turkey came last, balanced carefully between you and Akaashi, and you placed it at the head of the table where Akaashi would carve it for everyone. You sat to his left, across from Bokuto on his right, and Hinata was next to you, across from Kenma. Kuroo sat next to Kenma, and Kai and Yaku were beside him.
“This smells so good!” Hinata said, and everyone echoed his statements. You smiled, reaching for Akaashi’s hand and squeezing it.
“I had the world’s best sous chef helping me,” you said, and he raised an eyebrow.
“I’m the sous chef? Who was the one who wouldn’t wake up this morning?” he teased, a smile on his face, and you laughed. “No, it’s okay, we made it together. Even though I was the one who was awake for most of it.” He stood up, grabbing the carving fork and knife to start serving dinner.
“Wait! Before we eat, we should go around and say what we’re thankful for!” Bokuto said, standing up and grabbing Akaashi’s wrist before he could slice into the turkey. Akaashi froze, and Bokuto continued, “you know, because I think it’s important. And I can start! Because I’m really grateful to have all of you here and in my life, and for this good food and this really cool cabin, and I know I’m where I am because I have support like all of you with me. So thank you.”
You couldn’t help but let out a small ‘aww’ at that, and Akaashi nodded and put the knife and fork down for now. Bokuto let go of his wrist and sat down. He looked to Kenma, who was next to him. Kenma sighed.
“I’m thankful for all the success I’ve had with my company and my channel since we started up this year,” he said, looking down at his lap, where you were sure his hands were clasped. “And thank you all for being here too, I suppose. You’ve been good friends to me, and you’ve stuck by me and given me challenges and competition to make things fun.”
“And I’m thankful for the fact that I only had two lab reports to type up and that most of my first year students know how to properly submit their work through the online portal,” Kuroo said. You laughed. “And for my friends and family. You guys make the hell of school and grad school worth it. Some days.”
Yaku elbowed Kuroo, but he had a smile on his face. “I’m thankful that I met this jackass the first year of high school and he never left me alone,” he said. He looked around at everyone. “It let me meet all of you, and there’s nowhere else I’d rather be right now. And I’ll remember you all when I go to Russia next year to play professionally.”
“I’m thankful I won’t have to hear Kuroo and Yaku bickering while Yaku’s in Russia,” Kai told everyone, and you and Bokuto laughed out loud. “And Yaku and Lev, as well. I love you guys, but there’s only so much I can take. But I am very happy to be here too.”
Hinata was next, and he had his hand on his chin and his face scrunched just a bit. “Hm… I mean, I’m thankful for all of you and for this food and how lucky I am to be alive and be here! But all of you already said that!” he said. He thought for a moment more, until Akaashi cleared his throat and you nudged his shin with your foot. Hinata brought his hand down from his chin to smack onto his open palm. “Oh! I know! I’m grateful for Kageyama being a jerk! Because if he wasn't I wouldn’t have tried to compete with him, and then I wouldn’t have become his friend and met everyone and learned how much fun volleyball is! And I wouldn’t have gotten to eat so many meat buns or see Tokyo Tower! Or even try and apply for university and I wouldn’t get to see all of you!” There were a few chuckles, and you could hear Bokuto sniffling. He was easily moved.
But now it was your turn, and you also had to think for a minute. “Well… I’m grateful to have such a wonderful boyfriend like Akaashi, and the friends who are here and who aren’t here too,” you said, looking around the table. “I’m thankful to have such a nice place for us to stay, and a good roof over my head. I never thought I’d be here, but I’m happy I am and even though it’s hard sometimes, I’m thankful I’ve made it this far.” Akaashi’s hand found yours and squeezed it tight, and you turned to see him with the biggest smile you’ve seen in a long time.
“I think (Y/N) said everything I was thinking,” he started, “but I’m also thankful to be hopefully heading to grad school the year after next, and also thankful that Kenma is doing the dishes tonight.” The pudding headed man mumbled something that had Kuroo laughing like a hyena, and you were going to remember to ask him about it later. But for now, Akaashi stood up once again and picked up the carving knife and fork. “Are we good to start eating now?” he asked, and everyone gave him an enthusiastically positive response. So he started carving the turkey, and before long everyone was talking loudly and passing food around the table as they ate. You managed to sneak in a few photos of everyone to remember the night by.
Once everyone had eaten as much as they could before they burst, you stood and started clearing things away. Kai and Akaashi helped you bring all the leftovers into the kitchen, and you started packing everything to be placed in the fridge so it could be divided up tomorrow before you left (or most likely just coming home with you and Akaashi and Bokuto, where you’d be eating it all for the next and a half). Everyone else moved into the living room for the moment, sleepy and full and waiting for dessert before they took their post-dinner naps before you all started playing games again (you could hear Yaku vowing to kick Kuroo’s ass at Uno this time and you wanted to be the one to beat both of them).
Once everything had been cleaned up and put away (and Akaashi mandating that the dishes be left in the sink for Kenma and most likely Hinata who would be helping him), Kai thanked you for the food and went to go join everyone else. That left you and Akaashi in the kitchen, and you gave your boyfriend a hug the second you were alone.
“Thank you for coming here with me. And for being with me,” you said, your face pressed against his neck. His hands rubbed up and down your back, and he swayed you back and forth slightly.
“Thank you for all of this, love,” he said. “I’m lucky to have you in my life, and I’ll always tell you that as long as I have breath in me. I love you, most ardently.” You laughed, moving back to look him in the eye.
“You’re so corny, This is why you’re a Lit major,” you told him. He laughed too, letting you go to turn and start taking the pumpkin pie and the cheesecake out of the fridge. You grabbed the oven mitts and took out the two apple pies, carefully placing them on a tray on the counter so they could be moved into the dining room while they were still warm. You turned off the oven, and Akaashi placed his items on the counter before grabbing the ice cream and Hinata’s cheesecake toppings too.
“Come on! It’s time for dessert!” You patted Akaashi’s arm, giving him a kiss on the cheek before you grabbed the cheesecake and the apple pies and headed out of the kitchen to bring them to the dining room table.
Akaashi brought a hand up to gently brush the spot where your lips had met his skin. He couldn’t help the smile that pulled the corners of his lips up as he used his other hand to make sure that the small box he’d been hiding in his bag was still in his pocket, which it was. “Yeah… it’s time,” he said, keeping his voice quiet. His smile grew even bigger as he grabbed the pumpkin pie, the toppings, and the tub of ice cream you’d left on the counter and followed you out of the kitchen and ready to have the best ending to the best Friendsgiving yet.

INTRO
In season 3, episode 5- Blaine sexually assaults Kurt. Just going to pop the bubble like that, there’s no easy way to approach it because this isn't an easy topic. Many people try to argue with this fact, though, Blaine canonly sexually assaulted Kurt. I’m going to break it down, tell you my research, the specifics of what went down, and a lot more. So if you’re already hesitant- whether because this is triggering, or because you don’t want to accept that your favorite character, shockingly, did something bad (as if there wasn’t the longest list on earth with all the other things he’s done.) I suggest you click off this post. Anyways, I’m just going to get into it now, so just stick with me.
---
OVERVIEW
The car scene at Scandals, was sexual assault. Kurt said no when Blaine insisted on them to ‘just do it’ right then and there, but Blaine ignored his decline and continued to forcefully grab him, as well grope him and kiss him many, many more times. Kurt had to free himself from the backseat since Blaine wasn’t letting go any time soon. Afterwards, Blaine proceeds to act like the small poor victim who had his feelings hurt because big mean Kurt didn’t want to play with him and lose his virginity in the backseat of his car. Especially after Blaine spent the whole night letting Sebastian dance or more so, grind, up against him.
Blaine didn’t even apologize to Kurt, yet had no problem apologizing to Rachel for ‘letting her down’ for not being able to play a good enough Tony since Kurt wouldn’t have sex with him. In fact, Kurt was the one apologizing about the whole dilemma, “ I’m sorry too. I wanted to be your gay bar superstar but try as I might, I’m still just a silly romantic.” Kurt is basically apologizing to Blaine for not having sex with him and losing his virginity, even though he knew he wasn’t ready. All Blaine gave Kurt was, “I was drunk.”
“I was drunk,” is never an apology nor an excuse to sexually assault your s/o. Blaine only apologized for the fact of being drunk, not the fact that he sexually assaulted Kurt, as if he would’ve done the same as sober, that being drunk was the only problem. Kurt didn’t want it, he said ‘no’ and ‘stop’- no matter how drunk Blaine may have been, Kurt kept making verbal and physical signs he didn’t want anything Blaine tried pressing him to do. NO MEANS NO.
---
MANIPULATION
At the end of the day, they still lost their virginity to each other. Kurt is under the impression that Blaine wanted to have sex because he loved him and felt ready to do it, which wasn’t the case. Yes, Blaine might’ve been ready and in love with Kurt, but this was mainly to make his play performance better. Kurt never found this out. Which means he had sex with Blaine under false pretense, also meaning that Blaine manipulated Kurt into having sex.
---
AFRAID OF SAYING NO
I’ll also like to point out the fact that Kurt apologizing to Blaine and trying to call him back at first (when Blaine said he was going to walk home) practically means he’s scared of saying no to Blaine. If he knew he wasn’t doing anything wrong, he would’ve not apologized and called Blaine back (obviously already wrecked.) He could’ve been scared to say no, thinking that Blaine would do that again (especially after the first time he was sexually assaulted by Karofsky, which I will discuss in another post) or because he was worried he’d break up with him to go with someone like Sebastian.
---
SEXUAL COERCION AND SIGNS
The type of sexual assault that Blaine acted on was something called sexual coercion, which also falls into the broad terms of sexual harassment, though, in more specfic terms, it was sexual coercion. By Google definition, “Sexual Coercion: can vary from someone verbally egging you on to someone actually forcing you to have contact with them. It can be verbal and emotional, in forms that makes you feel pressure, guilt, or shame.” There are many ways someone can make their partner feels these things, though the ones that apply here are;
‘Make you feel threatened or afraid if you say no.’
‘Badger you, yell, or hold you down.’
‘React negatively (with sadness, anger, or resentment) if you say no or don’t immediately agree,’
‘Continue to pressure you after you say no.’
I’ve covered the first one of Kurt being afraid so I’m going to break down the rest. ‘Badger you, yell, or hold you down.’ Blaine didn’t raise his voice, slurring around his words a bit as he was drunk, or at least not fully sober (later on we see Blaine a lot more sober than what he showed earlier in the car). Though, he did badger Kurt and- didn’t hold him down, but kept a tight grasp on him the whole time. Badgering someone is continuously bugging someone about it, which Blaine repeatedly tried to convince Kurt into doing the deed, this is like sexual misconduct. Sexual misconduct can be aggressive ‘come-ons’ and pleading, which is exactly what Blaine did. Blaine also had kept a tight grasp on either Kurt’s hands, wrists, forearms, face, or jaw constantly as Kurt tried multiple times to pull away.
At one part, Blaine cupped Kurt’s jaw and dragged him down lower, tugging at him as he moved upward and kissed at his neck and cheek- while of course Kurt kept saying ‘no’ and ‘stop it,’ which was where Blaine started to get more forceful. When he ranted off on knowing what Kurt actually wanted (which he ignored, blowing out the, 'you're comfortable, so I can be comfortable' speech out of the water,' he tightly grabbed Kurt’s forearms and cupped his face- multiple times during his rant, you see Kurt attempting to pull away. It was constant and constant signs that Kurt didn’t want this and Blaine knew, which caused him to pull him closer and held him tighter.
Next is, 'React negatively (with sadness, anger, or resentment) if you say no or don’t immediately agree.' Blaine had the audacity to put the blame upon Kurt, right before leaving going, "I’m sorry if I’m trying to be spontaneous and fun." Clearly meaning, 'why couldn't YOU be more spontaneous and fun.' Plus, when Kurt finally managed to pull away and step outside of the car, he firmly states why he isn't ready- tears in his eyes and pain in his voice as he yells, wanting it to get through Blaine's head. Blaine doesn't apologize, but again, tries to turn the things, "Why are you yelling at me?" Like there was no reason and he was completely innocent. He tried turning everything around like he was the victim while Kurt was the bad guy.
The last one is, ‘Continue to pressure you after you say no,' which Blaine, no question about it, did. When Blaine started with all of, grasping at Kurt and keeping him down, Kurt just simply tried pulling away- thinking Blaine wouldn't be so strong and that he could easily escape. Though when Blaine's grip wasn't clearing up, Kurt finally firmly verbally says 'no' and repeatedly says it. Blaine continues to not let go, which Kurt got louder and now pleading for Blaine to let go as Blaine tried to convince Kurt that it would be perfect right now. He kept saying, “I want you,” as if expecting Kurt to say it back, ignoring the signs of disagreement. Each time he kept saying it, it was as if Blaine was expecting to get what he wanted no matter what. Even with Kurt not wanting it.
---
BREAKING DOWN THE SCRIPT
I'm going to show the more bigger points of the whole scene and break it down, so there will be a few scenes I don't mention because they weren't so powerful for me to mention or I already said the same in another part and if I were to breakdown everything, we would be here for hours.
BLAINE: Kiss me. Kiss me.
(Blaine’s leaning in, wrapping his arms around Kurt, trying to kiss him.)
KURT: Oh, no, no, no, no…
(Kurt shakes his head and puts his hands on Blaine’s shoulders, keeping him away.)
BLAINE: Kiss me. (Blaine moves his head closer, close to kissing at Kurt’s neck.)
Everything is alright there for now, Blaine keeps insisting to be kissed and it's innocent enough since Blaine isn't forcing him anything, he's just trying to kiss him himself and trying to get Kurt to join in, everything is okay for now.
[BLAINE forcefully grabs Kurt’s arms and pulls him inside, pulling him over himself.]
KURT: Woah, wait! Okay… oh, oh, oh-
(Blaine immediately wraps his arms around Kurt’s waist, keeping him down.)
KURT: All right, Blaine, all right. Cold hand, cold hand!
(Blaine keeps a grip around Kurt’s waist, kissing his neck. (probably slipping his hands into Kurt’s shirt causing him to say ‘cold hands’) Kurt struggles in Blaine’s grasp, trying to pull away.)
BLAINE: Come on, come on. Hey, Kurt, let’s just do it. (Blaine grips at Kurt’s hands/wrists, keeping him close.)
This is where things start to become slowly not okay. Blaine starts to become more forceful Though it isn't fully not okay since Kurt hasn't made signs of disagreement, verbally or physically (besides the squirming but that to the blind eye could seem like just adjusting to a more comfortable position).
BLAINE: I… I want you.
(Kurt tries to move his head back and pulls his arm back, managing to get Blaine to let go.)
KURT: No, no.
(Blaine wraps his hand, cupping Kurt’s neck and pulls him in.)
BLAINE: I want you so bad.
(Blaine forcefully grasps Kurt’s head, pulling him down to meet his head. Blaine moves his head and starts kissing Kurt’s cheek and neck again.)
KURT: No. Blaine, no just… stop it.
(Kurt yanks his head back and puts his hands on Blaine’s shoulder, pushing him away.)
Here's it's bad, here it's sexual assault. Kurt said 'no' and kept pulling away more clearly now, but Blaine kept on pulling him back and stating, 'I want you,' even after Kurt said 'no' and 'stop it.'
BLAINE: Hey, listen, I know you wanted to do it in a field of lilacs with Sting playing in the background and all that, but who cares where we are?
(Blaine grips Kurt’s arm (one cupping his face still), not letting him move as he rambled.)
KURT: I-..
(Kurt makes an effort to pull away, clearly uncomfortable and scared.)
BLAINE: It’s about us, right?
(Blaine still grabs at Kurt’s arms.)
Blaine is more forceful, gripping Kurt tightly to make sure he doesn't move or escape, and by now he knows what he is doing and isn't letting Kurt get away. As well, the persistence of, "It's about us, right?" Asking that like he was expecting Kurt to simply agree.
KURT: Right, it’s about us. (Kurt finally manages to untangle himself, pulling away quickly so Blaine couldn’t grab him.)
KURT: Which is why I don’t want to do it on a night that you spent half of dancing with another guy and that you're sober enough to remember it the next day! (Kurt has tears in his eyes as he keeps his distance from Blaine, fear in his voice.)
BLAINE: Why are you yelling at me? (Blaine is glaring at Kurt.)
KURT: Because I have never felt less like being intimate with someone and either you can’t tell or you just don’t care! (Kurt’s yelling to try to get his point across to Blaine, still teary eyed and scared.)
Kurt didn't need to pull away and get out of his car, Blaine should've stopped. If you have to put distance between you and the person that tried to do something to you, you're clearly not feeling safe to stick around with them. His eyes are glassy while he yells at Blaine, uncomfortable and scared. When Blaine glared at Kurt, it was as if he wanted Kurt to feel bad and like he was innocent.
[BLAINE rolls his eyes and leaves]
KURT: Where are you going? (Kurt’s voice is straining.)
BLAINE: I’m sorry if I’m trying to be spontaneous and fun. (Blaine tries to blame Kurt, glaring at him.)
BLAINE: I think i’m just going to walk home. (Blaine seems a lot more stable and seems to be soberish, so he probably knew what he was doing.)
Kurt seems to start regret stopping it, scared of what Blaine is going to do. He shouldn't at all regret saying no, because he was clearly not ready for it. Blaine again tries to blame Kurt, wanting him to be spontaneous and fun. He always seems a lot more sober since he is holding himself right, not slurring his words, and able to walk away without stumbling like how he was walking out of Scandals. If he is sober enough for this, he should know what he was doing moments ago.
---
CONCLUSION
The end, Blaine sexually assaulted Kurt. There is no way around it, there is no defending his actions. You can accept them, you can't defend them, you can keep following him, or maybe start to realize he might not be who you think he is. I've got the facts and research and all of that, right here. Blaine sexually assaulted Kurt, used a stupid excuse which isn't one, and had him do the apologizing. This isn't okay, stop brushing it off your shoulders.
---
GOODBYE
I'm glad you stuck around to read this all, I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your day/evening/night. I may do more of these if people like them,
Alex.

How can I learn Java for free?
Learning Java on your own doesn't have to be difficult; there are plenty of resources for independent study and practice. No matter your age or experience level, you will find plenty of websites that will give you hands-on experience and teach you how to program in Java.
JBehave is one more Java examination structure utilized for BDD testing, mostly used with Selenium WebDriver for Java. The key objective behind the introduction of JBehave is to make it possible for newbies to conveniently comprehend and get aware of BDD. It is type of a design approach that makes the testing phase of an application much more based upon its actions.
Undoubtedly, WebDriver can not solve troubles brought on by Ajax Timeout or sluggish running JavaScript or any Dynamic Content that takes time to tons. To overcome problems, we formerly utilized "wait_until" or "rest" techniques in our test instances.
Licensed Software Application Examination Automation Architect.
Java is a widely popular programming language, given the extensive assistance it receives from the developer area. Selenium with Java has actually proved helpful and offered an enhanced method of testing, particularly in regards to regression testing and go across browser testing. With multiple plugins making their means right into Selenium, it has led to making testing effortless and much less taxing. Constant Integrations with tools like Jenkins and also Wizard have led to continual testing models. Selenium works with several operating systems like Windows, Linux, Solaris, Macintosh.
Java Cursus .
If you intend to opt Selenide as your Java test framework for automation testing, then here is an overview to aid yourun Selenium automation examinations using Selenide, IntelliJ, and Wizard. For UI testing, there is no better Java-based structure besides Selenium WebDriver, the parent framework of Selenide.
Both JUnit, along with TestNG, perform the same job. As well as their features are virtually the same, other than dependency tests are not performed utilizing JUnit and the execution treatment of parameterized test is different in both the structures. Although TestNG has few users, the community is pretty big and also growing daily. So, we can wrap up that the option in between TestNG or JUnit for a Java test framework depends completely upon the application's nature and also requirement. Have an excellent knowledge of application development in an object-oriented programming language, especially Java.

How many days will it take to learn Java?
Bottom line -- beyond the most elementary, the math you need will come from the problem domain you're programming in. NONE of that needs to be a barrier to learning Java development. If you can learn Java, you can probably learn more math if you need it -- just don't try to do both at the same time.
TLDR; Bonobo is a totally free and basic to install Git Server for windows.
TLDR; As opposed to migration your assertions line by line, create an abstraction course to represent the brand-new implementation and afterwards execute inline refactoring.

Both of these modern technologies together make a best combination for automation Testing. Via this write-up, I will certainly offer you a complete understanding into why you must utilize Java for Selenium. Automation testing utilizing Selenium with Java has made life easier for both developers and testers. Being an open-source device, it gives an opportunity to quicken the moment of execution as well as to remove manual redundancy and human susceptible errors.

Where can I practice Java?
JavaScript can be used to do monotonous things like creating animation in HTML. In short, when it comes to how each programming language is used, Java is typically used for all server-side development, while creating client-side scripts for tasks such as JS validation and interactivity is reserved for.
Check out this post to get more information regarding the leading Java test structures for automation testing. Encapsulation is a device of binding code and information together in a single device. Different powdered or liquid medications are enveloped inside a capsule.
Furthermore in encapsulation, all the variables and also approaches are covered together in a solitary course. Builder in Java is used in the development of an Object that is a circumstances of a Course.
With Selenide, we do not require to think about those issues any longer. Simply focus on business logic as well as the examination instances will function fine in serving their function. Powered by Selenium, Selenide is a popular tool for writing secure, exact, as well as meaningful UI examination instances for a Java application. Testing of contemporary internet technologies like Ajax has particular problems like a timeout. WebDriver is the preferred tool for UI examinations, yet it lacked the attribute to take care of a timeout.
Selenide take care of all these troubles in a basic fashion. You don't require any type of need for Google and look for tutorials. All you need to do is focus on business reasoning, as well as in simply a couple of easy lines of codes, your job will certainly be done.
Cedric Beust created TestNG, which is an open-source, Java-based automation testing framework motivated by JUnit. The structure is made to carry out in a better fashion throughout integration. We all know about Behavior Driven Development or BDD. It is the sort of testing that explains acceptance testing in a clear manner to the business users.
Idea # 3: Chrome Devtools: Simulating Network Issues
It also supports numerous internet browsers like Chrome, Safari, IE, Side, Firefox. Likewise, Selenium is very easy to integrate with tools like Jenkins, Expert, and also Docker to accomplish a constant testing method. Devices like TestNG and also JUnit further help in structuring the selenium examinations for easy maintainability and also creating reports. Once you have finished this computer based training course, you will certainly have learned about the tools and methods that are made use of to evaluate Java software program.
Is Java a good career choice?
Similar to COBOL, thousands of critical enterprise systems have been written in Java and will need to be maintained and enhanced for decades to come. I'd be surprised if it's not around for at least another 15 years. But it will change, and is changing.

1. So now to the diet on of the most important things.
Why? Cause a slender figure helps you a lot to look more like a girl.
Healthy Eating/Diet To become the perfect sissy bimbo the figure is an essential part of your existence. You can train all you want, but training will only form your body a good figure is 80% based on your eating habits. Here I will give you easy simple tips. What are the important things that I am looking for in this to make it work? It must be flexible and easy, so it can work for everyone and is easy adaptable.
1. Don't eat between meals. (Exception you are going to train - we will handle this topic later in this blog). - There are arguments that you should smaller meals more frequently during the day This is often said by people that do regular training. My counter argument is that you should see training as a different thing. For training you don't "eat" but you look that you have enough energy and the right stuff for training and recovery. So you don't really "eat" between meals, but more you look for the right state of nutrients and energy for the training and then recovery phase.
- why I am against eating between meals beside for training reasons. a) Intermittent fasting has proven to be beneficial. ! I don't suggest you do it, but it shows that there are benefits to have time between meals! b) It helps you to learn about your hunger and appetite. Often when we eat between meals we have forgotten how it is to really be hungry. Which is understandable in a time where we just have to walk to the fridge to get food. c) It gives you clear guidelines. You have 3 meals beside meals for training and that's it. d) your body can relax. If your body is constantly in the process of eating it is stressful. TIP- Have cucumbers around to eat when you have the feeling you need to eat something now.- Have them already prepared!!! Cause if you get stressed or craving and they are not already there you won't clean a cucumber then. It is better to throw away one or two (If you don't want to waste food - believe me if you are a stress eater you are much worse for nature than when you throw away 1-2 cucumbers per week but then become a normal eater).
2. Healthy meals A great suggestion is to split your plate into three separate parts. (PICTURE 2) This helps you in a few ways - You eat lots of vegetables and fiber, - you have a simple way to check if you have good nutritions
- you don't have so much doing a calorie count cause the plate regulates it for you automatically.
What you still have to look out for?
a) potatoes, green peas, corn, and squash. Kidney beans, pinto beans, lima beans, black-eyed peas, and lentils are not vegtables but should be seen as healthy starches. b) be carfull with sauces, fats (butter etc.) they are delicious but often huge calories. c) the plate should be normal stacked. Don't cheat yourself by only taking one plate and stack it up to the brim with food.
Know how much calories you need per day & how much additional you need when training. You shouldn't count calories but you should have more or less overview how much food you need per day approximately.
& Plan your shopping and cooking ahead and don't let yourself drive too much by your own appetite.
- You can still adapt your meals if you really crave for something, then change your meal to it as long you have a healthy version
& replace rice, pasta, potatoes, bread with healthy alternatives but still eat them from time to time cause to reduce cravings.
3. Accept your cravings even the bad ones, but also understand what the body tries to tell you.
Here I gave an example: I had once a college that always craved chocolate cake - he eats it often as lunch. I told him that the craving is only the animalistic part of him that craves for engery sugars and fats. He should try a good alternative. Some meat that has a bit more fat in its well seasoned - not salt, but more herbs and spices, fruits and good carbs and as dessert a little bit of dark chocolate. It solved his cravings.
So always think if I could eat chocolate all day, then your body wants to tell something but because chocolate can't be the solution we need to understand what It needs. - google about cravings. & Don't deny yourself some stuff you like. pizza, burger, fries everything is ok as long as you don't overdo it. But with time you should replace it with healthy alternatives.
4. No cheat days or if then make a healthy version. This stupid 10000 calories, pizza, fried food, donuts will stress your body so much you will need a week to recover. Yes, it pushes your metabolism up so you burn more, but at the same time you will achieve a healthy weight by just eating healthy and normal. & Add the stuff you like to your meals. If you want a sugarglaced and filled donut. Take one, but maybe only eat a third or half of your meal as dessert and the rest the next day.
5. Time between meals. Have at least 4 hours and maximal 7 between meals during the day. - Everything under 4 hours you still are processing your food. Everything over 7 hours you go into the craving mode. At 7 hours you will have already a few hunger phases, but not craving already.
5. Learn to understand hunger/appetite/fullness/empty stomach. - Many that have a weight problem and eat during meals are not used to have the body not processing food. It makes people having a need to eat often again, that's why waiting at least 4 hours is so important.
- Learning what is hunger and what is apostate. Waiting at least 4 hours will teach you when you just would like to eat stuff or when you are really hungry. - Learn that hunger goes away you have to wait for about 20min. No matter how hungry you think you are but it will stop. The body needs to spend energize to send you hunger signals if after 20min nothing happens he will stop doing it to save energy. ! But after 7h you should always eat something! By then you might have 2-3 hunger phases already. Mostly it is one phase per hour. After 7h the body will not start with hunger, but with cravings which are worse because then comes the time you go into frenzy eating.
6, Start a food diary Do not count calories!!! But a diary helps you to become more conscious about when and what you are eating. If you go over my tips over and over again and start do a diary you will become more and more conscious of your eating habits and this will help you to change them with time.
7. Chew all your food well If you eat fast or swallow before you chewed the food well it will these following negative effects. - It is bad for your digestion which can lead to problems with stomach and intestines which can lead to problems with time - it helps you to digest things better, helps you to get more nutrition and more vitamines in your body - cause you eat more consciousness your food you will taste it more and it will satisfy you more which leads to less cravings during day.
TIP for this: - Heat up your plate so the food doesn’t cool down so fast when you eat slower - Put down your cutlery between each bites this will help you to get used to chew your food properly
8. !!!! No processed food!!!! The problem of processed food, or food that is created especially to taste delicious, makes your body addicted to it and crave it even more. Why I explain in the later part. The same goes for sodas. Tips for all that have a problem not to eat between meals and/or are stressed eater! First: Welcome to the club: I myself am a stress eater too and I struggled all my life with being overweight. I still am but I have it manageable under control and slowly going down by trying to do the stuff above. What you read is a lot of my own experience and by searching on the the internet.
Why is this so important! READ THIS! Your body's job is to keep it going. To achieve this it doesn't have the capacity for self reflection. So our body still exists in ancient time where we didn't have any processed food and when we didn't have a supermarket or just could go to the fridge to eat something. Further more can't our body grasp the concept of prepared food that was especially created to taste delicious - perfect combination of salty, sweet, fatty etc.
This leads to these following problems: 1. Our body sees processed food as hightly valuable cause the information he gets by taste signal him that this food is full of nutrions. For example: Sodas are overly sweet - the body sees this as a high recource of vitamine cause it interprets it as a ripe fruite.
The results in the problem, that our body starts to crave this food cause he sees it as hightly valuable which leads to the next problem.
2. Cause our body is always in survival mode and tries to keep the engine going. Valuable food he sees as important to consume. Cause the body doesn't know we have supermarkets or fridges. So he gives us the input that as soon such food is available, we need to consume it. Which leads to the problem that we have lost our feeling of when to eat and when not.
Summery and how to lose weight in short:
1. Chew well: This will help you more then any other diet thing. Forget the right food or intermitten fasting etc. If you chew right you are about 50% at your right weight already. How to achieve this? - Take more time for you meal. If you chew better you will take more time. If you always take only 5 minutes for your meal and stuff yourself like a goose you will never make progress - put down your cutlery during every bite. It will take time to get used to but if you have the next bit already on your fork in front of your mouth you wont chew anyway. Your body is programmed to open its mouth when foot is presented to it. - Chew well: I mean really the food should be mush. And if it is already mush at least have your salvia coated everything - like 10 bites or 6-7 turnarounds with your tongue.
minor tips: - hot plate for hot meals: So your food doesn’t get cold when you eat slower. - smaller bites: But as long you chew really well that isn’t so the important point.
Result/Benifit: - less problems with digestion and prevention of diseases: A well chewed meal that is well coated with saliva will help the body to process it much easier - which also puts less stress on the body - therefore less diseases. - better nutrition: Because a well chewed meal helps to extract more nutrition which makes a meal more healthier (well junkfood will still be junkfood but you know what I mean) - you will eat less automaticly (reasons) a) The more time you need for your meal will help to reduce appetite and hunger beceause on the process of eating your body will slowely reduce the hunger/appitate. b) chewing the food better will help you to expereince the nuances and flawors stronger which will help to feel more satisfied with your meal, expereince more endorphines in your brain while eating which leads to the reaction that the body conects more value to the food (better tasting - more nutritions) which will help to reduce cravings and hunger during the day.
2. Have fix times when to eat: For most of us this is a given by job etc. But I suggest you keep this on your weekends and vacations.
How to achieve this: Min/max between Meals: There are people that might eat only one meal or intermediat fasting etc. but this is what I found out for myself. !!!Training!!! is an exception to this rule cause you need enough energy for training and your body needs energy to recover this should always be implemented with the daily portion planning & that you don’t crash during training or aftwards. Meals per day: Only meals that are not connected with any training regime I suggest three. Many of you might now say. Hey I can’t eat something in the morning. I was the same but there are many reasons to do it.

Part 1 - Part 5 - Part 7 - Series Overview - Masterlist
28th May 2018
“Hey Y/N, are you okay? I haven’t’ heard from you since our date and I was wondering if I said something wrong or if you think we’re going to fast… I don’t know. Please, just text me, let me know what’s going on, okay?”
You knew that ignoring Dylan wasn’t the best choice and you couldn’t do it any longer but with the current state you were in, you didn’t want to see him. Your brother flew in the second he received the call and hurried to the hospital. Gemma took plane the day after; she couldn’t stay at home, knowing that her future family wasn’t doing well.
“You should tell him, Y/N. He deserves to know” Andrew said as he held your hand and listened to the voice mail. “He’s worried, thinking that he did something wrong.”
Two days ago, all of a sudden, you felt weak and sleepy and just needed to lay down but the fever that followed wouldn’t go down. You didn’t consider going to the hospital, you experienced it quite often but when you couldn’t stop vomiting blood, you knew that you had no other choice. You had called the ambulance and received the first blood transfusion on the way to the hospital, the second followed straight after. You were placed into care unit, your doctor knew what was going on the second you arrived. Your treatment wasn’t working anymore. The RCB count and related numbers were dropping. You were mildly anemic instead of borderline.
Having cancer sucks, it sucks to not be in control of your body or your destiny. It sucks to be tired all the time. It sucks when you have to sit down and pay all the stupid bills. It sucks that people can’t have a normal conversation with you. It sucks to watch people stare at you wherever you go and it especially sucks when you have to tell your family that you are in a terrible shape. So that’s what the nurse did, called your brother and granny as soon as you arrived at the hospital.
“I might be dying this time for real, Andrew. I… I don’t want him to get attached to me and then I just … vanish” you mumbled, snapping your fingers like Crowley always did when he killed someone on Supernatural.
“I know, Y/N. But wouldn’t you want to know if something happened to him?” Andrew asked while he rubbed his thumb against the palm of your hand. “If you don’t call him, I’ll do it.”
You sighed, knowing that Andrew wouldn’t give up. So you grabbed your phone and hesitated a little while before you pressed call on his contact. It didn’t even ring twice before he picked up, a little out of breath. “Y/N?”
“Hey Dylan.”
“You finally called, is everything okay?” he asked on the other side of the line.
You couldn’t answer, the clump in your throat got bigger and bigger, no words came out of your mouth. Dylan knew that something wasn’t right when you didn’t answer him. So the only thing he could say was, “It isn’t, right?”
“Dylan, I’m sorry I didn’t call you. I could’ve at least texted you. I’m… I don’t know how to say this but… I’m at the hospital, Dylan. I’m in care unit.”
“What?”
“I don’t know if I will make it through it this time”, you told him.
It was the truth, though. The doctors told you that your chances were low. If your fever wouldn’t drop, chances were pretty high that you wouldn’t make it to the next weekend. Your organs were failing slowly and while you were in your common state, another therapy would end deadly as well.
“Y/N…”
“I…”, you interrupted him, “I don’t know why I haven’t told you earlier. I guess, I was just afraid.”
“Hey, hey, hey, Y/N. Everything will be okay, everything will work out. I’ll be on my way in a second. I won’t leave you alone, I never will, if this is what you thought. I’m staying right by your side until you’re doing better”, Dylan assured you while you heard him running around.
“Dylan, are you at work right now?” you asked him, your voice barely louder than a whisper, it was getting harder and harder to talk for you.
“I am, but I’m leaving now. They’ll understand, they have to,” he replied.
“No,” you shook your head, “I don’t want you to leave work for me Dylan. It’s not worth it. I might not… it’s not worth it.”
“Stop saying this, Y/N. You are worth it, okay? I don’t care if it’s worth it or not because in my eyes, it’s totally worth for. I’d rather spend the time with you, hoping that everything will work out while I hold your hand, while I am right beside you. I won’t and I can’t continue to work, knowing that you’re not doing well.”
You let out small giggle, not knowing exactly what to say. That’s when your brother grabbed your phone and talked to Dylan. “Hey Dylan, it’s Andrew, Y/N’s brother. I’ll be waiting for you outside, okay?”
Andrew nodded, probably because Dylan said something to him before he gave you your phone back. “Here. I’ll be waiting for him.”
You nodded and grabbed your phone, holding it against your ear before you let out a sigh. “I’m going to hang up, okay? Better you drive safe without a phone pressed to your ear, I don’t want to share my room with you.”
Even in your worst time, you could still manage to make Dylan laugh. “Oh I know you would love it.”
Andrew was sitting on a bench, right outside the hospital, waiting for Dylan to arrive. Even though, it would take him more than 30 minutes, Andrew didn’t mind. He had to clear his head. So with a coffee in his hands he waited for your friend, or should he say boyfriend to arrive. Of course, you were only dating, but Andrew saw it in your face, the way your face lit up when you heard his voice and especially the way he could make you smile, even in your current state.
Andrew rested one elbow on his knee and placed his head in the palm of his hand. His eyes were closed, burning a bit due to the crying. He knew that his eyes were still bloodshot but it was his sister we’re talking about.
“Sorry, you must be Andrew,” a voice snapped him out of his thoughts. Andrew rose his head, his eyes meeting the actor in front of him.
Of course, he google the man you were dating the second you told him that. He wanted to know if he was good enough for you.
“I am and you must be Dylan,” Andrew said, standing up while he held his hand out for Dylan to shake. “It’s not the right time to say this I guess, but it’s a pleasure to meet the man my sister won’t stop talking about.”
“How is she?” Dylan asked your brother once he let go of his hand.
“Not good. She will probably play it off cool in front of you, but she’s not doing well. She’s scared. She’s really scared this time. But come on, let’s get you to her, shall we?”
A soft knock interrupted the conversation you had with Gemma. Your heads turned to the door before it opened. Andrew walked in first and held the door open for the one person you wanted to see so badly. “Dylan.”
“Hey, Y/N,” Dylan mumbled and walked around your bed. He held your face in his hands before he pressed his lips to your forehead in a lingering way. In the meantime, Andrew nudged his fiancé Gemma and motioned her to come and wait outside with him.
“Do you see it?” Andrew ask Gemma as they sat in the cafeteria, getting some snacks. Gemma knew immediately what Andrew was referring to. It’s like they could read each others mind.
“The way he looks at Y/N? Yes, it’s just the way you looked at me when you fell in love with me.”
“I’m sorry, Dylan. I’m sorry I didn’t text you. You deserved to know,” you mumbled after you told him what was going on while you played with his hands. As soon as Dylan pulled away from his kiss, he sat down next to you and held your hand, never letting go.
“It’s okay, Y/N. I understand, although I was pretty shocked when you told me and I think my co-workers were as well. I dropped everything to come and get here as soon as possible,” he told you. “I almost ran a red light because I was so caught up with my thoughts.”
“Dylan,” you groaned and rolled your eyes at him. “I told you to drive safely. I don’t want you to lie next to me in this room.”
“Are you tired?” he asked out of the blue, ignoring your worries.
Your brows were knitted when he asked, you head tilted to the side. “Why are you asking that?”
“Because I can see it in your eyes. You’re exhausted.”
“I really am.”
“Then scoot over.”
Your brows were knitted once again, not getting what he was referring to. “Scoot over, I’m staying with you.”
You smiled at him, not believing how sweet and caring he was for you. You grabbed the tube that was connected to your port and placed it where it couldn’t get in your way before you scooted over and made some room for Dylan to join you in your bed. He got rid of his shoes before he tugged himself under your blanked. You smiled once more and rested your head on his chest with your arm around his waist while he held you close and he didn’t miss the rising beeping of the sound of the heart monitor. He placed a gentle kiss on right on top of your head where your favorite mint green cloth was wrapped around your head. It was the first scarf your granny gave to you when your hair started to fall out.
You remember the day clearly, brushing your hair became a nightmare for you. It happened one morning when you were brushing your hair, small pieces of hair were stuck in your brush and when you realized what was going on, you picked on more and more pieces until there was a bald spot. Tears were streaming down your face, a sob escaping your lips before your knees gave up and you landed on the floor with a loud thud.
Your grandma pushed the door open once she heard you crying and saw the mess that you were, your hair gathered in the sink. “Oh darling,” you remembered her voice. She sat down next to you and held you in her arms. She said that “… even without hair, you are still the most gorgeous woman that I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”
The day after, she got you the first cloth, saying that you could wrap it around your hair, that she saw it in a magazine. She helped you to put it on but you weren’t happy with it. Out of frustration, you ripped it off you head and marched to the bathroom, grabbing your brother’s old electric razor and cut all your remaining hair off. Your granny stood under the door frame the whole time, watching you with a smile on her face.
Once all your hair was gone, she grabbed your shoulders and pulled you in a tight hug, whispering the words in your ear, that made you cry. “Your mother did the exact same.”
“I don’t care how long you have to stay here, I’ll be with you the whole time,” Dylan’s voice snapped you back to reality. You moved your head, looking up to meet his eyes. “Thank you, Dylan.”
“There’s no need to thank me, Y/N. As long as you’re happy, I’m happy, too.”
You snuggled yourself even closer to Dylan, if it was even possible and finally closed your eyes. Dylan did the same, hoping to get a power nap that he absolutely needed. He couldn’t really sleep for the past two days, thoughts were troubling his mind. All he could think about was you and why you didn’t call him, he thought he did something wrong, that maybe you wouldn’t like him the way he liked you. Even though he met you only one month ago, he couldn’t get you out of his mind. You were all he could think about day and night. Your conversations were so easy going that he felt comfortable around you. There was always enough stuff to talk about, even in your text messages. You texted every day, even when he saw you for a few hours, he texted you.
And while Dylan and you were cuddling, holding each other, your brother and Gemma were watching you the whole time through the windows of your room.
Dylan woke up when something poked him. He groaned and tried to turn on his back so he could bury his head into his pillow but something was stopping him. His arm fell asleep; the tingling feeling was too much for him, so he opened his eyes slowly and realized that he was still at the hospital, his arm still wrapped around your body. A smile creeped up his face when he saw you laying on his chest. You were fast asleep. Your deep breaths gave it all away.
Dylan turned his head. Gemma was right beside him, sitting in the chair that Dylan was in not too long ago. “What time is it?” Dylan mumbled, still tired.
“It’s morning, Dylan. You were asleep for the whole night, more like twelve hours. It’s time for the doctors to see Y/N,” Gemma informed him. “I’m Gemma, by the way.”
Dylan smiled and nodded, showing that he was pleasured to meet her. A yawn crept up his tired face, his free hand covered his lips, “Wow, I didn’t realize that I so tired.”
“Did you get any sleep lately?”
“Not really, I was worried,” Dylan replied. “I was worried about Y/N. I didn’t know what was going on. I just couldn’t sleep and to be honest, I thought that- I thought that she didn’t like me the way I do and that she was going to ignore me. And to be honest, I wish that would be the case.”
“Why are you saying this?” Gemma asked, clearly shocked what he wished for.
“Because then she wouldn’t have to fight this.”
“You must really like her.”
Dylan nodded with his lips pressed together, forming a straight line. Gemma placed her hand on Dylan’s shoulder and gave it a soft squeeze. “It’s going to be okay, but now we really have to bring her to the doctors, the nurse is already waiting outside.”
Dylan nodded once more and gently shook your sleeping form. A light groan left your lips, just like Dylan did when Gemma woke him up. “Y/N, you gotta wake up. You have your doctor’s appointment.”
“I don’t want to,” you mumbled half asleep.
Dylan sighed and put your scarf in place with his free hand. His eyes widened when he came in contact with your forehead. Gemma saw his change of expression and she jumped up from her chair. “What’s going on?”
“Y/N, I think your fever is going down,” Dylan exclaimed and looked at Gemma with hoping eyes. Gemma rushed to the other side of the bed and placed her hand on your forehead. You tried to snatch it away but Gemma shoved your hand away and put her hand back.
“You’re right. Y/N, he’s right. Your fever’s going down. You’re going to be okay, it’s going to be all okay.”

UHS Class 1 and UHS Class 3 are 10MB/s and 30MB/s, respectively. Most cards will also list a class or speed on them to distinguish how fast they can read and write. Any of these should work but be careful with SDXC cards because of licensing issues, not all devices can support exFAT. The 4 versions are: Standard or SD (up to 4GB), High Capacity or SDHC (up to 32GB and formatted as FAT32), Extended High Capacity or SDXC (up to 2TB and formatted as exFAT), and SDIO (has support for I/O). There are actually 4 different standards of SD card, with each new version came higher capacity and often higher speeds. Installing images on them is the same, just make sure you have the right card (and adapter, if needed) for your device and reader.
#SD CARD ADAPTER FULL SIZE#
Ever notice the cheap plastic adapters that come with some microSD cards? They are nothing more than a plastic shell with connectors to pass through the microSD connectors to the full size connectors. Electrically they are the same thing, though. Full sized SD cards are used in digital cameras all over the globe, and microSD (often called µSD or uSD) cards are used in cellphones and tablets, amongst others. Here is a brief overview of each of those elements. But whats sets one apart from the rest? What makes a good SD card? Besides manufacture, the main differences between cards are physical size, capacity/standards, and speed. SD Cards can be found most everywhere, online, at your local store.

You will also need a computer and an Internet connection (if you don't have all the software and your image already on your computer). Make sure to check the image distribution that you are planning on using for your Single Board Computer before flashing. The minimum card size depends on the Linux distribution. Dressing vintage can be so versatile, from making your own clothes to finding some real treasures on eBay. Styling vintage however can be quite difficult to start with.
I started dressing vintage when I was about 17 or 18 by wearing Lindy Bop dresses and searching for anything Rockabilly on eBay. It took a little while to get used to, especially with there being so many styles from different decades and feeling as though you can only dress from one decade. It’s difficult at the start when you buy a skirt or a top and have no idea what to match it with.
I love mixing all decades, So hopefully this small overview may help.
Skirts.
Personally, my favourite is a pencil skirt or otherwise known as a wiggle skirt. This skirt is cut to be slim fitting and complimentary to any curves. The Pencil skirt was first introduced to the world in 1954 by Christian Dior’s autumn/winter collection. Traditionally cut just below the knee.

Cardigans.
I’m not going to lie – you can pick up some really good cardigans from Primark for next to nothing and they achieve a great look if you’re opting for single colours. If you want something a little more extravagant, its worth paying the extra money for and its a worthwhile investment as you can team a cardigan up with pretty much anything.

Tops.
Tops are something I struggled with for a while as I feel much more myself in a dress, but you can get some absolutely stunning tops online. 3/4 length sleeves, capped sleeves and batwing sleeves tend to be my favourites as they tend to flow with the rest of the outfit. Sheer materials are an absolute god send, they’re light, breathable and tend to follow vintage styles. You’ll also find that peasant tops work beautifully with circle skirts. At the moment I really love sheer tops that I can tie in a knot. Something as simple as a blouse can be very effective.

Dresses.
They’ve been around since the dawn of time. If you’re looking for something specifically 1930’s to 1950’s then you could try ones that just drop below the knee regardless of the style. You can go for something soft and feminine like a lovely flowing skirt, or something sultry and demure like a wiggle dress. I adore both.

Gloves.
Besides protecting your hands from the sun, harsh winter conditions or a potentially harmful task, gloves can be the perfect accessory to an outfit. I love teaming a wiggle dress up with a pair of faux leather elbow length gloves.

Jewellery
I adore brooches and big sparkly necklaces. Whilst the necklaces are mainly reserved for a dramatic outfit, I love playing with brooches. You can use them to attract or distract attention from other areas too. Plus theres no such thing as having a brooch thats too big. I tend to go for antique ones, but theres some fabulous enamel designs popping up. I’m also fond of statement earrings, huge sparkly draping earrings that attract attention from miles away.

Hats.
I always go for a hat with an offensively wide brim and I’m still on the hunt for one that can fill an entire room. Hat’s are another versatile accessory in vintage styling. They can quite literally be the cherry on top of a perfect outfit.

Sunglasses
The bigger the better again! But be careful – we still want to see your face. Cat eye is a classic vintage shape, but so are big bold ovals. This accessory is all down to your face shape so its worth flirting with different shapes and styles.

If You Think That You Need To Be Some Sort Of Genius To Succeed With Affiliate Marketing And Make Your First Commissions Online…
After Nearly 11 Years Of Doing Affiliate Marketing – Read Below To Learn My Most Effective Strategies For Making Your First Affiliate Commissions As A Complete Beginner (While Promoting Products You can Be Proud Of) With An Easy 30 Day Process
From the virtual desk of Dirk “Diggy” de Bruin
Dear Aspiring Online Entrepreneur,
Do you ever look at the lifestyles of affiliate marketers and online business owners – making ridiculous amounts of money from their laptops- and wonder how the heck they do it…
While you seem to be stuck and struggling just to make your first few commissions online?
Have you ever tried “launch-jacking” or whatever the latest affiliate marketing hack is…
Only to have gotten little to no results?
And do you ever catch yourself wondering if having a successful affiliate marketing business is just a pipe dream reserved for a lucky few?
When no matter how much effort you put into your affiliate campaigns, they never seem to get the results you want…
While Some Kid In His 20’s In His Parent’s Basement Is Making Millions Of Dollars Online?
If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past 10+ years of doing affiliate marketing, having promoted dozens of products in many different niches and through many different strategies…resulting in commissions ranging from small…
to slightly bigger commissions like these…
What I learned is that most people think affiliate marketing is much more complicated than it actually is and most people don’t understand what works in order to make commissions by recommending great products that actually help people.
So if you’re frustrated and confused about why you haven’t been able to have success with affiliate marketing, trust me, you’re not alone.
Here’s the problem.
The sad truth is, most people teaching affiliate marketing are usually either relying on methods that have a steep learning-curve, high upfront capital requirement and are sometimes downright unethical or they’re outdated strategies that no longer work.
Here at 30 Days To My First Commissions, we teach only strategies that have been proven to work in a broad variety of niches and have stood the test of time.
The principles of what we teach have worked for years and are likely to continue to work for years. With us, you’re not learning a trick that stops working after a while, you’ll learn skills that you can continue using to make commissions for years or decades to come.
I’m committed to cracking the affiliate marketing code to bring you the best working strategies by personally testing offers, methods, tactics so that you can start making your first affiliate commissions in the easiest way possible.
Here’s what I discovered…
Maybe you’ve heard some of these WRONG strategies about affiliate marketing:
Grab your Clickbank affiliate link and spam it on as many people’s posts as possible.
Sign up for tools that allow you to deceive ad platforms about the URL you’re actually promoting (known as CLOAKING).
You need to trick people into clicking on your affiliate links
Well, I’m here to tell you – None of these things actually provide value!
What you should be focusing on instead, is remembering that there’s a REAL LIFE HUMAN on the other side with a real problem they want to solve.
Ever since affiliate marketing has gotten more and more popular and artificial intelligence is getting smarter at detecting spam and low-quality content…
The Affiliate Marketing Game Has Changed
Think about it.
Over the past years, how many people have been spamming their affiliate links on social media and via email to make a quick buck?
Email providers and social media platforms are blocking affiliate links and banning advertising accounts at an increasing rates to give their users a better experience.
Additionally, internet users are becoming much more savvy and understand when affiliate marketers are just trying to make a quick buck, so these methods don’t work very well anymore.
Whenever I explain this to people the first thing they usually say is:
“Wow, that makes a lot of sense. But how do I actually get people to use my affiliate link when they buy a product they want or need?”
Which is why…
After seeing so many people fall into the same traps so I’ve compiled all the tips, tricks and strategies I’ve been using for years with my own affiliate marketing campaigns…
And turned it into a step by step system called: 30 Days To My First Commissions
Where you’ll learn how you can easily find high quality products that convert well and how you can drive traffic to these offers to start making commissions.
You’ll also feel good about the whole process and be able to sleep at night because the products you’ll recommend will actually help the people who purchase it.
Knowing how difficult it can be getting started online as a beginner I wanted to make it as easy as possible for you to be able to make your first commissions with affiliate marketing.
That’s why I’ve made 30 Days To My First Commissions as easy as possible and included:
Proven offers I’ve personally promoted
Proven landing pages I’ve used to collect emails at a 30%+ optin rate
Multiple case studies of successful affiliate promotions
I’ve also made the training as “staight-to-the-point” as possible so you can go through it in the first 1-2 days and spend the rest of the time focusing your energy on getting your first commissions.
Introducing…
A Proven System To Help You Make YOUR First Affiliate Commissions In The Next 30 Days
No matter if you’re a complete beginner or you’re already successful online right now…
30 Days To My First Commissions is an easy-to-follow guide where I’ll show you step by step, exactly how to make your first affiliate commissions by promoting products that actually help people in an ethical way that allows you to sleep at night.
From choosing your niche and finding high quality offers to promote, to driving traffic and building up an asset in the process.
Specifically designed to get you to take action and see REAL WORLD RESULTS in the next 30 days…
When you buy today, you’ll get immediate access to the entire 30 Days To My First Commissions system, so you can start working through the training right away (and go as fast or as slow as you’d like depending on your schedule).
First, I’ll give you a complete overview of the program and explain exactly how to get the most of it.
Then we’ll dive right into affiliate marketing with an overview of the various strategies that you can follow depending on your personal situation (time available, budget, interests etc.)
This way you can find the best strategy that you can apply to your unique situations that will help you make affiliate commissions.
I’ll also share what the most common paid traffic strategy is that other affiliate marketers teach and use, and why I don’t use it or teach it in this course.
And then I’ll share with you the affiliate marketing strategy I personally use, that allows you to make commissions not just once, but multiple times… while building an asset in the process.
Choosing a niche is often a place where most people get stuck. I’ll make it really easy for you to choose your niche in under an hour (and provide you with plenty of ideas for profitable niches to enter).
I also show you which kind of offers I don’t suggest you promote, and which kinds of offers to look for to promote that will pay you not once, but on a recurring basis for as long as your referral stays subscribed.
You’ll also learn an easy way to find “hot offers” in any niche with a simple & free hack.
And I’ll give you several examples of offers I’ve personally promoted that I know convert and are of high quality.
To help you understand how to make your own affiliate commissions online, I’ll show you some of my own previous campaigns (nothing held back) so you can have real life examples to give you more ideas for your own campaigns.
You’ll see a case study of how a simple video review of an online course made me $7,915.41 in commissions (and how it’s still making me money on autopilot after more than a year).
You’ll see another case study of how promoting someone else’s launch as an affiliate generated more than $15,000 in commissions with less than a few hours work.
You’ll see another case study of how it’s still possible to make commissions from solo ad traffic and I’ll share my exact vendors, landing pages and products I used.
Another case study shows you how it’s possible to use a less popular search engine for paid ads arbitrage (this is not the main focus of the course at all but I wanted to include it as my goal is to help you make affiliate commissions and show you proven ways that you can do so).
And as time goes on I’ll continue to add more case studies to this section in the course which everything I add to this course in future, you’ll get for free as a member.
Being able to send high quality, targeted traffic to high quality offers is arguably the most important skill in affiliate marketing.
Without traffic, you can’t make commissions.
In this module I’ll share a variety of both free and paid traffic strategies and traffic sources that I personally use to make affiliate commissions.
If you don’t have a budget for paid advertising, I’ll show you how it’s possible to invest your time to be able to generate traffic to make your first few commissions which you can then choose to reinvest back into your affiliate business to grow it even faster.
If you do have a budget to invest into paid advertising (whether that’s $100 or $10,000), I’ll show you some cool and effective ways where you can buy traffic besides the usual Google or Facebook ad platforms.
My goal is to help you make your first commissions within the first 30 days and while I’ve made the entire course and training as comprehensive as possible to help you do exactly that…
You’ll also get direct access to me and all other members in the private MFC FB group.
This is where you can ask questions, share frustrations and brag about your wins and help make your journey profitable and fun!

This week’s 52 Ancestor’s theme allows me to profile another of my great-uncles, William John Paul Ferdinando. He did indeed stay close to home, living with his parents, and then his mother, until 1954 when the latter died.
The only photos I have of him are from his childhood (click individual images to enlarge):
On the right he is sitting beside his sister Hilda, with their mum, Rosanna, behind them. Judging by their ages, I would guess this photo was taken in 1912, when he was two and Hilda was four. Two to three years later, Rosanna posed for another photo with William and his two sisters, Hilda and my grandmother, also Rosanna, who was born in 1902. It’s curious that the three other boys, Cecil (b. 1905), Francis (Frank) (b. 1906), and Arthur (b. 1914) were absent. Perhaps there’s another photo with them in it that I haven’t seen.
Born on March 8, 19101, he was the seventh child for Rosanna (née Lawley) and Frederick Ferdinando. The family was living in Islington in this period, at 314 Hornsey Road.2 As with all their houses, they were close to the railroad, which, for a little boy must have been quite thrilling. I imagine his mother was less thrilled as the dirty air would have made it difficult to dry their clothes outside without accumulating soot, while breathing the foul odours produced by engines belching while they idled at the Hornsey Road Railway Station on the Tottenham & Hampstead Junction Railway, a mere half mile from the house (click image to enlarge).
Within a year of his birth, however, his father was convicted of fraud and sent to Wormwood Scrubs prison where he served six-months of hard labour. Even worse, during his incarceration, his mother gave birth to a girl, Ivy, who died about four months later.3 It must have been a difficult time for the family and a confusing one for a little boy. I know my grandmother, 8 years his senior, was always close to him, so it seems likely she helped care for him while their mother was preoccupied with holding the family together and caring for a baby.
By 1912, with father Frederick home again, the family had returned to the south side of the Thames, moving to Tooting, where William remained for the rest of his life. While only 4 at the outbreak of WWI, he would have experienced at least some of the terror of the bombing raids in the general area and then, later, the fear when his older brother (also named Frederick) went off to fight with the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment.4 Their father also served for six months with the 1st Provisional Division of the Royal Engineers in the post-war period, between May and December 1919, for which he received the Silver War Badge.5 War work continued during the demobilization period.
For a few years after the war, life would have been relatively normal for young William, however, in January 1924, his father died,6 leaving his mother a widow at age 47. The 1925 Electoral Roll reveals that his brother Frederick was still at home, so at least there was some stability, and I know that his sister Rosanna was also living there, though both married in July 1926, which would have been a big change. However, his sister Hilda and brothers Frank, Cecil and Arthur remained at home until Frank married (1931) and Cecil, sadly, was admitted to various institutions to treat his mental illness.
When researching family members we’ve never met, it can be so difficult to envision them as real people, rather than names and dates on records. I’ve heard a few family stories about William, however, there’s one incident from his life that no-one told me about, likely because they didn’t know. It gives me an ever better picture of him, one that definitely brings him alive to me. In the mid-1930s, he had a little fun with a milk-wagon, an escapade that made the newspapers. Below is my transcript of one of the articles:
DROVE HORSE ” FOR FUN.”
“I had never driven a horse and van in my life, and wanted to see what it was like. I did it for fun.”
William John Paul Ferdinando, 26, a clerk, of Elms Road, Clapham, made this excuse at the South-Western police court, Monday, when accused of stealing a horse and a milk van with its contents.
A milk roundsman stated that while he was delivering at North Side, Clapham Common, on Sunday morning, he saw Ferdinando driving the van away. After going 150 yards, the man jumped off the van and ran down a side street.
Mr. Claud Mullins, the magistrated, dismissed the charge, saying : “I cannot conceive the theft of a van marked all over with the owner’s name. I am satisfied that the man had no intention of stealing.7
Further coverage appeared in the Singapore Free Press and Mercantile Advertiser which included another quote from William: “I didn’t intend to steal.”, while it seems Mr. Mullins also informed the court that: “…there is no such charge known to the law as stealing a milk van which is pulled by a horse.”8
Of course, we have to assume the journalist could possibly have enhanced the details for effect, but even so, both the initial incident and the court case are easy scenes to imagine and I think a part of us can understand how someone might be tempted to do just what he did. Incidentally, the address for William is incorrect, unless, perhaps he had indeed moved out for a short period. Certainly, during the 1930s, he only appeared in the Electoral rolls at the Defoe Road/Garratt Lane (there was a name change in the late 30s) address.9
From the 1939 Register, I received confirmation of the detail of his occupation from the newspaper story (clerk). He and his mother, Rosanna, and younger brother, Arthur, were recorded as living at 912 Garratt Lane (the house didn’t change, only the address), and his occupation is that of “Cashier-Bookkeeper”. The birth date given on his baptismal record is the same in this document, March 8, 1910.10 As Rosanna was not employed and living on whatever money Frederick left in 1924 (I haven’t found a probate record or will) as well as his army pension (26 shillings, 8 pence),11 I imagine the reason William and Arthur didn’t see active service is that they were working to support their mother. There might have been other extenuating circumstances. Their sister Hilda was in Bournemouth at this point, working at a children’s home as a nurse.12
After the war, Hilda returned to London. I know she worked at Gorringes department store and she seemed to sometimes live at home and sometimes elsewhere. Meanwhile, Arthur married Dorothy Horsley in the summer of 1941,13 thus leaving William as the only child at home with their mother who was now in her late 50s. By 1945, Rosanna and William had left the family home and moved to Gosberton Road, not far away. My mother remembers visiting her grandmother and uncle at this location and William remained there till at least 1965, even after Rosanna’s death in 1954.14 It must have been a wrench at first, given that Frederick was buried just down the street at Streatham Cemetery,15 however, as my mum remembers them living in a flat, it’s likely the upkeep was far easier with fewer rooms. With Hilda’s death in 1952,16 it left just the two of them.

William died during the first three months of 1970 and, as his death was registered in Wandsworth,17 I’ve no reason to believe he left Gosberton Road, where he was recorded in the 1965 Electoral Roll.18 I’ve never been clear whether Rosanna, and later William, rented or owned the flat there. Given how comfortable he would have been in that area (the distance between Garratt Lane and Gosberton Road was only 1.7 miles), it seems unlikely he would choose to move so late in his life. Perhaps at some point I will order a paper copy of his death certificate (the pdf versions are only available up to 1957) to find out for sure.
He arrived in Tooting in 1912 when he was two years old and, unlike his brothers and sister, Rosanna, remained there for the next 58 years. It most certainly what he would have identified as “home.” Of course, he would have seen lots of change over the decades, but it’s lovely to note that the two houses he knew best remain standing today. I expect his life was a little lonely after his sister and mother died, though I know my grandmother, Rosanna, visited him from time to time, travelling there from her home in Hampshire. There can be little doubt that throughout his life he was always close to home.

Planning/ Study essentials!
20/08/17
It’s back to school season! If you haven’t already started school again and you are still in school, you will probably be starting within the next month. I decided in honour of this special time of the year I would compile a short list of some of my study essentials!
1. The first is this yearly overview printable from @thearialligraphyproject . She makes amazing printables and downloadables! They are gorgeous and help keep me so organized! You can put them on a bulletin board as I did, or stick them in a binder for reference during school!
2. Another must-have is the Leuchtturm1917 Notebook! Mine is A5 size, 249 numbered pages, in the shade black with a dotted ruling. The size is great, having plenty of space to do lists, journal entries, or even just your weekly spread. I like to keep things pretty minimalistic with the black colour- it helps me focus more on my actual work than my aesthetic. The dotted ruling is pretty faint and allows for lots of room for artistic freedom while allowing you to effortlessly draw straight lines.
3. Next is my laptop! I have what seems to be the popular choice, with the classic Macbook Air . It is not necessary at all, of course, to have the fanciest, most expensive laptop, or even a laptop at all! It is, in fact, mandatory that I have a personal device for school, but I use this for so much more reasons than that. It allows me to access calendars, documents, programs such as One Note and google drive, and of course, better access to Tumblr and this great studyblr community.
4. My laptop is also good for one other thing and that is spotify! I always have to have some sort of show or music at all times. When I have to do homework, study, or anything else that requires a lot of focus I usually go for softer music such as jazz or folk if not something completely instrumental. I’ve been listening to ABBA and Michael Kiwanuka a lot recently as I haven’t needed to really focus that hard recently. Pictured I have Leon Bridges Artist page - I really love his song “Coming Home”
5. As I mentioned, music is essential to me when it comes to anything really, and so when I’m not at home I use my Beats Studio Wireless. I have them in gold, which keeps me looking cute while I study, and due to the Dual-mode Adaptive Noise Canceling, they allow me to block out the rest of the world. They are wireless which allows me to roam free without having to worry about getting a cord caught somewhere or accidentally unplugging them! However, they do come with a connective cord, which is great for if you forget to charge them, need to fly, or don’t want to lose your phone during a run!
6. Muji Pens, which I have in black, pink and orange, are another essential of mine! I only recently bought some while I was London this summer, but they are a game changer! They write so smoothly and I have them in 0.5 which allows for me to control how thick or thin I write! Black pens, in general, are also a must-have of mine, and I’ve always kept it simple with Papermate pens!
7. Last, but certainly not least is Water! Hydration is so important for your health, and I constantly have a bottle of water beside me. Drinking water helps keep me awake, headache free, focused and radiant. It is a miracle liquid. I love Smartwater if I’m in a pinch, and Voss Sparkling Water as something a little bit more fun, but I’m obsessed with my double-insulated reusable water bottle, very similar to those found at Swell. It holds 25 fluid ounces and keeps my water cold all day! They can also be found in a variety of colours to fit your every need!
