Also I really love Owain’s name because it’s also the name of (or at least an alternate spelling for the name of) one of King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table.

A cool thing about Sir Ywain/Owain was that in some stories he had a literal lion as a companion.

Another another interesting thing is that in many retellings he’s either the nephew of King Auguselus of Albany, or the nephew of King Arthur himself, and is often stated to succeed his uncle as King following his death : )
