There’s an adorable HC that if Bertholdt lived and he became an ambassador like everyone else.

He would spend most of his time in Marley at a local orphanage spending time with the kids. They climb over him and he just adores them. He gives them lots of sweets, toys, and reads to them.

I was thinking about what if Sasha started accompanying him to his treats. She absolutely loves the kids

Aww this hc is so sweet!! I can see Bertholdt being the sweetest with the kids, listening to their stories and also telling a lot of stories too. They ask how it is to travel the world and he may create a magical story here and there. Nothing wrong about improving a (sometimes) really boring business meeting. 😅

As for Sasha she already has some experience working at Historia's orphanage. I'm sure that the kids (like Kaya) that are living with the Braus are from these orphanages. At first Sasha was a disaster with them, but after a few years she's one of the best helpers to be around! 🥰

I definitely agree that Sasha would be extremely vocal about stopping the Rumbling if she were to live. She would also be the type to forgive Gabi, because Gabi is just a brainwashed child soldier who didn't know what she was doing

Just imagine poor timeskip Bertholdt, the middle east war still happens, Annie is still on Paradis, Both of his parents died, (also this is a Berusasha AU where Bertholdt and Sasha live and everything plays out relatively the same) losing Colt and Porco during the first night of the rumbling. ( I Hc Colt was trying to help Bertholdt and be there for him)

Bertholdt would join the alliance because he's just so done with everything and he knows his role in this. He was the one who kicked down a hole in the Inner gate of Wall Maria, His actions, while he didn't know it, led to all this. Bertholdt just wants to end things once and for all which is why he sticks to the alliance.

Imagine the campfire scene

Bertholdt's eyes are burdened and tired during the Campfire between the alliance. RBA are finally reunited but tensions are still lingering between the warriors and the scouts. Sasha can't help but feel sympathy for Bertholdt. This is the first time she truly sees Bertholdt again and her heart breaks just seeing how the time-skip affected Bertholdt.

Bertholdt's weight loss is clearly visible, the dark and sunken eyebags clearly show countless restless nights. Sasha genuinely can't recognize Bertholdt from the quiet introverted scout from the old days. She genuinely sympathizes and feels bad for him

Post canon Bertholdt finally telling Sasha about his past. His childhood, his sick father, how his mother died when he was young, Bertholdt wanted to save his father but when be returned to Marley after RTS, his father died, there was no goodbye

“ I’m sorry for not telling you sooner,”. Bertholdt sighed

“ N- No, I’m the one that should be apologizing for making you talk about this,”. Sasha’s voice quivered as her tears spilled over.

“ No, I’m glad I talked about it,”. Bertholdt bore a smile that shone through the tragedy.
