Theme Song Artists, Additional Voice Cast for "Berserk" TV Anime 2nd Season Announced

The official website for the new TV anime adaptation project based on Kentaro Miura's dark fantasy manga Berserk announced today that four-member Japanese rock band 9mm Parabellum Bullet provides their newly-written song "Sacrifice" as the OP theme song for its upcoming second season. The band's 8th single song "Inferno" was used as the OP song for the first season aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2016. 

  And the second season's ED song "Issai wa Monogatari" (Everything is a Story) is co-performed by 29-year-old singer-songwriter Nagi Yanagi, who provided the ED song "Meimoku no Kanata" for the first season, and 32-year-old voice actress Yoshino Nanjo who is newly cast as Sonia in the new season.  

  The highly anticipated second season is set to premiere on MBS' Animeism programming block and the

satellite station Wowow in the coming April. Prior to the premiere, Wowow will air a special program hosted

by the voice cast members to introduce the digest of the first season at 22:30 on March 3 (JST).

With "Berserk" Anime Season Ending, At Least The Story Is To Be Continued

As the second season of this run of Berserk anime wraps up with week's episode, "City of Humans...."We'll meet again. Don't know where (the manga at least). Don't know when (July 5th if you're talking the American collections. Next winter if you're talking the Japanese serialization). But I know we'll meet again some sunny day...

  While 2016's first season ended with premise of more anime, this one let fans know that "the story continues..."

"Berserk" Manga Author's Art For Anime's Blu-rays Previewed

The new season of Berserk is slated to be released in two Blu-ray collections on July 21st (unedited versions of episodes 13-18) and September 21st (19-24). As with the previous season, manga author Kentaro Miura is providing bonus illustration boards for the limited edition. These were previewed this week.

"Berserk" Novel And Next Manga Collection Scheduled

Chapter 349 of Kentaro Miura's Berserk manga is out in the new issue of Young Animal and with it is news that volume 39 of the series will be released in Japan on June 23rd, only a year after the Japanese release of volume 38 (which Dark Horse will release in North America on July 18th). Additionally, a Flame Dragon Knight novel has been announced. Anime series composition writer Makoto Fukami pens the original story about Grunbeld and the warrior's experience in a small, northern country.

"Berserk" TV Anime 2nd Season Reveals April 7 Premiere, New Key Visual

With a newly-dawn key visual, the official website for the new TV anime adaptation project based on Kentaro Miura's dark fantasy manga Berserk today announced the premiere schedule for its upcoming second season in Japan, starting on MBS, TBS and WOWOW on April 7. And it is also confirmed that only WOWOW will air its first two episodes, 13th and 14th, together at 22:00 on the premiere day.
