After replaying DMC3 again, I'm just head over heels with Vergil still. And as a basic fan of dmc, I too adore the Beowulf devil arms and his vest alternate too.

My understanding is that it does light damage in the Devil May Cry games, but I don't know how that would translate to the Vergil build I'm about to start on Monday on Twitch in Elden Ring and I'm torn between these two options. I'll be using The Dryleaf Arts/Dane's Footwork (the same thing but with more kicks I instead of punches) as my stand in for Beowulf due to its similar move set.

My reasoning for lighting damage is just the way that it looks when you attack and my reasoning for holy damage is that light and holy seem to be synonymous with one another. What do you think?

If you think I should pick another affinity entirely let me know! I'm open to your ideas. I want the stream to be fun to watch 😊 I did something like this when the game first came out but now that they've added and changed so many things I wanted to try it again! I'm excited to show everyone what I cook up!

That scene between lady and dante was really cool I'm gonna think about it for a while. I like their match/discussion and how dante doesn't go beyond "hey I also got a dysfunctional family" and nothing else not only because his mom but also because it must be pretty wild for him to HAVE to kill his bro. He's rethinking a lot of things about family and it's kinda sad tbh

EDIT I JUST REALIZED: that's why he said "a son cleaning his father's mess, where have i heard that before" it was from lady. He keeps thinking about how they have that in common omg it took me like 2 hours to connect those ok I'm tired it's 3am time to sleep

I really like how rn lady looks at demons and humans as 2 different things that can never be mixed. Her dad wasn't a demon he was just possessed! (I fucking hate you arkham), dante couldn't possibly be human despite his appearance because he can't die! (Hasn't even asked him if he knows or why he can't die). Question DMC fanbase:

I am writing my own take on if Netflix asked me to make a DMC tv show. However due to pacing I cannot use every boss fight from DMC 3. obviously I’m keeping Lady, Vergil, and Arkham although parts are shuffled around. I’ve narrowed it down to

Cerberus as he’s the first boss of DMC 3 and he’s referenced in DMC 5 with king Cerberus. Also nunchucks.

And

Beowulf due to the connection to Sparda and Vergil as well as… I just really like using Beowulf in DMC 5, it’s probably my favorite melee weapon

obviously I’m biased because I’ve only actually played DMC 5 (I’ve seen the cutscenes and boss fights of the other games though) but also that’s the most recent game and since I’m writing this like Netflix is paying me it makes sense to reference the most recent game that the most people have played.

The rest of the bosses would be included in a montage (and if it were an actual cartoon, a montage set to some cool music)
