together for prom? - choi beomgyu

summary -> one time beomgyu forgot to ask the most important question, and you are slightly endeared (but mostly annoyed, why would he call you in the middle of the night when you're sleeping?).

it was a little after midnight that you heard your cell phone ring. you stare, a little disoriented, having just woken up from a good dream and sleep that you’re probably not going to get much due to the pile of mounting homework you had skillfully stalled. your eyes glared at the loud ringing phone, promising a certain death for the person who dared to break your beauty sleep.

you whipped your phone up, anger transformed to total confusion as you stared at the name that was lighting your phone. the name “gyu 💗” greeted your sleepy eyes, big and bright enough to hurt your eyes, but still confused you nonetheless.

“what does beomgyu want from me…?” you whispered slowly, mind still not fully there with you. nevertheless, not wanting to make your friend wait for long, you click on your phone and put it on your ear.

“hello? beomgyu? what’s up?” you ask slowly, mind still confused as to whether this is reality or dream. “ah y/n, sorry for waking you up so late. i was wondering what color i should wear to the prom?“ he cheerily greets back with nervous laugh, and you could imagine him at his own house, standing there awkwardly smiling that cute smile of his (in your opinion) as he scratched his neck nervously, an unconscious habit of his that you had caught since befriending him in elementary school. it was after around 5 seconds after that your mind stopped as you slowly processed what he said.

"wha, wait, color? prom? uh, i don’t know…, why are you asking me beomgyu?” you asked in total confusion; mind slower than usual due to your sleepiness. “well, we have to match so, what color is your dress?” he answers in his usual playful tone, and it is then that your mind took a screeching halt.

what?

you suddenly sat up on your bed, wide eyed, and now definitely wide awake, eyes staring ahead as your mind went full speed ahead, trying to process everything that you had heard from around 5 minutes ago. ‘when did beomgyu even ask me to the prom and how in the world could I not remember anything?’ your mind suddenly screams back at you as you run your mind back around your memory lane. nothing of interest really comes up there, just normal things you and your other friends do. and no matter how hard you try, you just couldn’t recall having any memory of beomgyu asking you to the prom.

“well, uh, I was just wondering… um, when are we going to the prom…?” the line went silent for a few seconds, the only sound you could hear was beomgyu’s breathing against the phone and the sounds of night animals echoing in the back. and then, you heard him curse.

“shit. I forgot to ask you,” he whispers quietly, and hadn’t you been waiting with baited breath, you might’ve missed it entirely. a small part at the corner of her mind questions the boy’s smartness and memory, while the larger part of it was laughing at how stupid and funny this situation has become. and you yourself couldn’t hold back a small giggle or two that had slipped out from your fingers.

“oh. well, i guess you should ask me again tomorrow,” you tease him, as more giggles escape your mouth. “ha ha, very funny,” he replied sarcastically, and you could feel beomgyu rolling his eyes from across the phone, a playful smile on his lips. “well, you’re in for a surprise then tomorrow! just know that I’ll definitely surprise you with my charm and tactfulness” he boasted loudly, and you had to bite your lips harder and hold your hands tighter as well in order to suppress another bout of giggles. he seems to sense that as well and let out a huff. “hmph, just you wait. you definitely won’t be able to reject me” he harrumphed, and you could see him scoffing at you. “alright, I’ll be waiting then,” you replied, a genuine smile playing across your lips. “alright then, see you tomorrow. and sorry for waking you up so late over nothing,” he hurriedly said and before you could reply back, you were left alone with your phone beeping loudly. “well, I better go back to sleeping” you shrugged slightly as you put your phone back on your nightstand, then covered yourself with your blankets.

Beomgyu ironically considered himself an introvert.

That would be the biggest bullshit you and the members have ever heard. Him? An introvert? It was like his mouth was running from a battery that could never tire out! At least that was what Yeonjun said. You never mind the way Beomgyu blabbers. It was, in fact, the thing that made you fall in love with him. And right now it's also the reason you were in trouble.

It was common for Beomgyu to talk about you to his members and anyone within the radius of 10 feet and most of the time, it wasn't much of a problem. Not that anyone ever said it wasn't a problem at all. But it was getting hard trying to shut his mouth infront of the cameras. They needed to live a rather heedful life than the normal people but in the end, they were still humans. One among us. So, You can excuse Beomgyu for accidentally letting your name slip every once in a while, right?

In an interview

"Beomgyu - ssi, I personally love your necklace. Where did you get it?"

"Oh, I love it too!! it's so pretty, right?! my girlfriend--," a loud slap on his thighs made him hiss and stop mid sentence to glare at the boy beside him. "Me, me. I bought it for him! I'm the girlfriend!! Beomgyu and I have been dating since our trainee days, right Gyu?," Yeonjun asked, glaring at the male through a fake smile plastered across his face. "I wouldn't date you even if you were the last girl standing on earth......," Beomgyu muttered under his breath, rubbing at his thighs where there was a noticeable red handprint of Yeonjun. "You wanna say that louder, Jagi, it didn't quite reached the camera," Yeonjun said through gritted teeth, squeezing the boy's thighs and purposefully digging his fingernails into his skin. Beomgyu hisses, making eye contact with Yeonjun who innocently smiled at him ," I was saying, thank you," Beomgyu's hands rested on his knee, pinching the skin with his oh, so long nails ," very much for the necklace, Hyung," he smiled, seeing how Yeonjun's face scrunched up in pain, " but, I think you got it messed up because someone else got this for me." "We have no idea what they're doing." Taehyun commented, looking at the camera. With Beomgyu's carelessness, your relationship was at risk of publicity. But, can you really stay mad at him when he looks at you like that? With those big, brown, puppy like eyes, saying he's sorry and that he'll be careful next time. How can you not give into that? It should've been no surprise when you come across his new Instagram post. Beomgyu was not sorry about his actions at all. He have always wanted to reveal his relationship with you. Wanted to show the world that you're his and he's yours. He was intentionally dropping hints.' Accidentally' mentioning your name, showing off your matching necklace, wearing low necklines to make sure the red lipstick stain on his collarbone was vaguely shown. He wanted to tell the world he was taken and you were off limits. And maybe this time, he really let his heart win. The picture was taken by him. Both of you staring at each other instead of the camera, lost in each other's eyes. His face was covered with your lipstick stain because Beomgyu loves being marked. And the photo itself was enough the shake the world. And for once, you didn't care about the consequences of his action, instead smiling when his name popped in your notification. MY LOVE <3 "Oops, sorry, accidentally posted that. Didn't mean to :(" "But, don't we look cute?" "Kinda want you to come over and mark my face all over again." Well, you could read the comments and think about the aftermath later. Right now you had priorities. You thought as you took your lipstick out from the drawer and headed for the door.

synopsis — after stupidly claiming on stream that you’ve been dating popular youtuber choi beomgyu in secret after accidentally creating an identically looking sim, you beg him not to reveal your lie to the public when it goes viral. weirdly, he agrees and you two begin to fool the public. can your lie become the truth or will it eventually catch up with you?

It was like time had stopped.

Your eyes were glued to the screen in front of you, the blue light reflected in your eyes. Long had the screen gone black, evidence of the ended stream in front of you. You could vaguely feel Yeonjun’s presence next to you, but the ringing in your ears subjected you to only be able to stare forward.

Why. Why? Why?!

Beomgyu. Why would he- why? It was so hard to fathom; what could he have been thinking? Did he really think everything would be fixed after that? That everything wouldn’t fall apart even more than it already had?! Now, you were off even worse than before.

He was selfish.

So unbelievably selfish. Because he couldn’t ‘keep up the charade.’ No. He wasn’t selfish. He was a fucking liar. A manipulator. Going out of his way to make sure that everything would leave him looking like the victim. The way he worded the stream, blaming everything on you. The fake dating had been your idea, yes, but he was just as involved! He didn’t have to agree! He could’ve fucking said no! No, he only sold you out because… Because… Because?

You didn’t know.

“Hey…” Warmth enveloped your torso, Yeonjun’s strong, assuring arms wrapping around you. “Come on, let’s go to the kitchen.”

You just let him drag you along, not having the mental capacity to fight back.

He released you when you plopped into the barstool of the hotel’s island counter. Crossing behind the other side of the island, he reached into the fridge to find something. You didn’t know what. You weren’t exactly focused on the black-haired model in front of you. You were too occupied calling Beomgyu every negative adjective conceivable in your head.

A crisp bottle of water slid in front of you, your eyes unfocused on its shape.

“You should drink this. Tears cause dehydration, you know…” Yeonjun spoke softly from somewhere in the room.

You were crying? You hadn’t noticed.

“I’m really sorry, Yn…” He kept speaking, barely making it past the ringing. “He’s so… Stupid.”

Stupid was an understatement.

“How bad is it?” Your own strained voice.

“How bad is what?”

“The backlash… Am I trending?”

“I don’t know… Don’t worry about that right now.”

“What am I supposed to worry about then, Jun? My career… Shit, what am I supposed to do to fix it? Everyone thinks I’m a liar. A user.”

“Not everyone.” Arms again around your body, you nuzzled your back into his chest. “We can fix this.”

“We?” You asked. “Jun, you don’t have to help me. We barely know each other.”

“That doesn’t matter. You’re my friend… And this is sort of my fault.”

No. It wasn’t anyone’s fault but Beomgyu’s.

“If I hadn’t gotten so close to you–”

“Can we talk about something else… I just– My head is pounding.”

A lie. You currently felt nothing. But, you didn’t want Yeonjun to have to dwell on feelings that were not his fault. Nobody was to blame for this, but Beomgyu. He was the problem. He was the cause.

“Drink your water.” He scolded you lightly, “I told you tears cause dehydration…”

“We came straight here.” Soobin stepped into view before your vision became obscured.

Kai threw himself at you, his familiar hold making you tear up once again. He squeezed you firmly, but not enough to hurt. Just enough to comfort. He murmured apologies, ones he shouldn’t be making, holding you as you’d disappear into the ground if he let go of you just for a second. You had a feeling he’d be mother-henning you for the next few days if he wasn’t stopped.

You didn’t think you’d argue against that. Not right now anyway.

“Thank you for taking care of her.”

“You don’t have to thank me for that,” Yeonjun responded in kind, “You must be Soobin.”

Soobin nodded, pointing slightly in your direction. “And that’s Kai.”

When Kai finally let you breathe, you pulled back enough to see that his eyes were red. Probably matching yours. But his face wasn’t streaked with tears, not like yours. That led you to the conclusion that he probably hadn’t slept since the stream came out. Oh, Kai…

“Ning, have you slept?”

“No. How could I?” He pursed his lips before speaking again. This time not to you. “What do we do?”

“We go home,” Soobin shrugged. “We kick that… We kick him out. Then you and Yn get some rest.”

You and Kai nodded solemnly, both not wanting to argue.

“I hate to ask, but can I come? I feel like I and Beomgyu have a lot to talk about.”

“Mm.. ‘s up to you.” Soobin shrugged again. “As long as he gets out of my house.”

You felt like the next few hours might take some years off your life.

Coward.

He was a coward. That was what your mind told you when the four of you had made it to your front door. The house was intact, doors locked securely. But… There was a sticky note, most likely from your room, left right dab smack in the middle of the door. It read: I’m sorry. I took all my stuff and I got a motel. I know you don’t want to speak with me, that’s okay. I’ll be going home soon anyway.

“Well, that’s that I guess.” Yeonjun broke the silence, all of you turning to look at him.

“Maybe it’s better off this way.” Soobin turned to unlock the door for you all. “I don’t think anyone was really ready for a confrontation.”

You stumbled into the apartment behind him, Kai and Yeonjun taking up the rear. Everything inside was normal too. Nothing out of place or taken, not that you thought he would steal. However, you thought bitterly to yourself, you thought Beomgyu wouldn’t do a lot of things. Clearly, this time of you getting to know him was a waste. God, you had the worst case of judgment sometimes.

“So what now?”

The boys started chatting, trying to figure out the next move. You tried your best to listen along, but you just… couldn’t. The longer you stood there, the more your mind was being made up. Soon, you excused yourself from the circle, complaining of a headache. ‘Just going to lie down.’ You spoke. Their worried eyes bore into your back as you disappeared into your room.

You were going to crumple into your bed, but your tired eyes noticed something first. A letter. It was laid neatly on your bed, words written almost neatly, but also as if whoever had written them was rushed. You were going to ignore it, but you knew your curiosity would win. It was a human thing.

You picked it up, letting your eyes glide over the words. Face neutral, your eyes took in every word but widened over time as an indescribable rage filled you. You got to the last line of the letter, letting you know who had written you this bullshit of a final letter. ‘Love, Beomgyu.’

You crumpled it into a ball, throwing it into a corner of your room. Full of shit. He was full of shit. How could you have ever thought he could’ve really meant something to you? He was nothing.

And soon, /you’d/ be nothing too.

You made your way over to your computer, typing in the website for your streams. Scrolling until you found what you were looking for, your eyes bore into your screen. It was like time was moving slowly again, as your conscious tried desperately to get you to stop before making the worst decision of your life. But, you were determined to finish this.

You had to. You couldn’t back down. You clicked your mouse once, mind made up.

The recording light lit up, letting you know you were now live.

As your chat filled, you heard an audible sound of confusion come from your living room. You forgot Kai had your streaming notifications on. You had to move quicker than he could get to you. You ran to the door, locking it before your friends could come to stop you.

You could hear the banger from the door. You could hear them. Soobin loudly asking what you were doing. Kai begging you to open the door. Yeonjun pleading that you stop recording and come out the door. You couldn’t let them stop you. Not this time. You knew you might regret this, but soon /you/ wouldn’t be around to care.

“Hi.” You spoke bluntly into the camera. “Welcome to DigitalGirl’s final stream.”

“I’m gonna miss this place,” Yunjin sighed, looking up at the high school building they spent four grueling but precious years in.

“I’m still stuck here for another two years,” Eunchae grumbled.

The girls stood waiting for the boys for one last hoorah before they broke for the summer. The seniors stood in their graduation regalia, having just completed their ceremony in the athletic field behind the school. The parking lot was filled with families and graduates taking pictures, trying to find their cars, or driving through the sea of people. YN could feel her feet start to go numb from standing in heels for too long, face twisting at the sight of nowhere to sit while they waited.

“There they are!” A familiar voice yelled, followed by frantic running steps.

The girls looked around for the source, relieved to finally see those five stumbling boys they’d come to see as best friends.

“Look at us! Bunch of scholars!” Soobin grinned, smoothing the fabric of his black gown.

“Where were you guys?!” Chaewon whined.

“We told you we were on our way five minutes ago?” Yeonjun said, confused by their irritation.

“Five minutes feels like five eternities after you’ve already been standing for hours in heels,” YN pouted, marching in place trying to relieve her feet from the pins and needles sensation.

Beomgyu bit his bottom lip, trying to stop the smile from blooming on his face. He walked up to YN, turning and crouching in front of her.

“C’mon on,” he said. “I’ll carry you to the cafe.”

YN smiled, happily throwing her arms around Beomgyu’s shoulders and hopping onto his back. Her feet began to immediately ache as soon as they were relieved of the pressure, finally feeling some sense of relief once Beomgyu stood up and supported her legs.

“What about us?” Chaewon asked, eyes round and pleading as she turned to the other boys.

They looked at each other once before the youngest boys pushed Yeonjun forward. He looked back at them, a scowl on his face mentally cursing them for sacrificing his back.

“Watch your hands, buddy,” Yunjin warned, jealousy clear in her eyes as she watched Chaewon happily snuggle against the back of Yeonjun’s head.

“Soobin, why don’t you take Yunjin?” Chaewon asked, earning a gag from both. She rolled her eyes, “Yunjin, I’m not letting you walk across the street barefoot. It’s not safe! And it’s gross.”

Yunjin and Soobin looked at each other, a look of disgust evident from both of them. They sigh, reluctantly agreeing to the arrangement. Yunjin jumped onto Soobin’s back, accidentally hitting him in the chest with the heels she was holding onto. He groaned, wincing in pain.

“Oops,” Yunjin smiled, her sarcastic tone earning a pinch on her leg from Soobin.

The group began walking to the cafe they first hung out in as an ode goodbye to their time spent together these last few months. They made these plans shortly after things began to cool down in terms of life events. It was originally Beomgyu’s idea to do something together before their summer officially began, but it was YN’s suggestion to make it a full-circle moment by going back to the cafe that started it all. If it weren't for that single cafe “date”, the bond they had would probably have never come to fruition.

As soon as they walked through the doors, they were hit with the strong aroma of coffee and fresh pastries. The tables they first sat at were vacant despite the busy counters as if they were reserved just for them. Soobin was the first to pull out a chair with his foot, turn around, and plop his passenger down. He dramatically pulled out a chair for himself and sat down, feigning exhaustion. Beomgyu chuckled at the sight, gently pulling out a chair himself and crouching down again to let YN off gently. She smiled at him as he pulled out another chair to sit beside her, immediately locking their arms and resting her head on his shoulder.

“The difference is stark,” Eunchae noted, referring to the dynamics shared by Yunjin and Soobin compared to YN and Beomgyu.

“Well, yeah, because he’s annoying,” Yunjin complained, pointing at Soobin.

“That’s funny because you two are practically the same person,” Kazuha teased, taking a seat herself.

“We are not!” Yunjin and Soobin both grumbled, causing the rest of their table to laugh.

Yeonjun helped Chaewon into a seat beside Yunjin, earning a cheek pinch as thanks.

“Sweet boy,” Chaewon cooed, patting Yeonjun’s face after pinching it red. He massaged his cheek, trying not to make the pain obvious.

Once everyone was situated, they began sharing their plans for the summer while they waited for Taehyun and Kai to come back with their orders. Everyone seemed to have big plans, leaving very little time for opportunities to hang out like this again before the girls moved to New York in mid-August. While the boys had their month-long Japan trip planned, Yunjin, Chaewon, and YN had a New York trip arranged at the same time so they could not only explore their new home but also tour apartments and their new campus. Kazuha was going back home to Japan to attend a ballet summer program. And, Eunchae, well, she was planning to stay home and play video games all summer.

Taehyun and Kai came back, trays full. Beomgyu watched contently as everyone passed around drinks and pastries to whoever ordered what, smiling to himself as he took in what was bound to be the last outing with all his friends this year. As soon as Taehyun and Kai took their seats, he hit his palm against the table, grabbing everyone’s attention.

“Now that everyone is here,” he smiled, “I have a very important announcement to make.”

Yeonjun perked up, knowing what Beomgyu was about to reveal already. It’s been two weeks since they confronted Beomgyu’s parents about the invitation to NYU’s music program. It was probably the most nerve-wracking thing Yeonjun has had to do all semester, and that was including the disaster that unfolded during the spring production. It was also the hardest secret he had ever had to keep to himself.

“I have officially applied to NYU Tisch’s music program for the spring semester!” Beomgyu announced, practically jumping in his seat.

His friends went wide-eyed, some slapping their hands onto the table in shock and others jumping out of their seats. They tried their best to stay as quiet as possible to not disturb the rest of the cafe patrons, but it was hard given the news.

“You’re going to New York!?” Yunjin gasped, arm extending out to Beomgyu.

“That’s the plan,” he replied. “I was invited to apply by the admissions board, so why not take the opportunity?”

When Beomgyu broke the news to his parents, he was fully anticipating their immediate disapproval. Some pushback to his determination to apply, maybe even being flat-out forbidden to even think about it. And, there was some pushback. But, they were able to be persuaded thanks to Yeonjun’s fierce advocacy. Beomgyu’s parents were adamant that if Beomgyu wanted to go to college, he would go to their alma mater and study business. Yeonjun managed to convince them, however, to see things from Beomgyu’s perspective and realize that he was a person with dreams of his own outside of the family business. He even made them sit and watch a video of Beomgyu’s performance on opening night, courtesy of Soobin’s mom. They were shocked to see that Beomgyu had genuine talent in the arts, having only remembered his earlier years when he first started practicing and the rough patches in his skills. Eventually, they were able to convince Beomgyu’s parents to let him apply and allow him the chance to at least see if he was good enough to be accepted. And, to give them peace of mind since they felt pursuing music was still a risky career choice, Beomgyu promised to double major in music and business.

“I feel like this is the best news we’ve heard since you two decided to finally call your relationship a relationship,” Kazuha gawked, hand still hovering over her mouth in shock.

“Wait,” Soobin furrowed his brows. “When do you find out if you’ve been accepted?”

“I won’t know until the end of the summer most likely,” Beomgyu sighed. “It’s gonna be a long wait, but I have a good feeling about this.”

Everyone gave Beomgyu their congrats, overflowing with pride in his newfound optimism for the future. They sat and chatted in the cafe until the sun finally started to set, laughing and fighting amongst themselves about who knows what. Once the sky went from pink to purple, they decided to call it a night and start heading their separate ways. They cleaned up their tables, thanking the cafe staff before heading out the door. The walk back to the school parking lot was more tranquil than the walk to the cafe earlier now that the excitement from the graduation ceremony died down. Everyone went their separate ways as soon as they arrived at their cars, each promising to stay in touch with the rest over the summer.

“YN, are you coming with us?” Chaewon asked, holding up her car keys.

“Um,” YN hummed, looking up at Beomgyu for confirmation first. She looked back at Chaewon and shook her head, “I’m okay. Call me when you get home!”

Chaewon smiled, nodding before getting in her car and on her way to take the rest of the girls home.

Beomgyu hummed, taking YN’s hand and guiding her to the passenger side of his car. He opened the door for her, motioning for her to get in.

“Your chariot awaits, my lady,” he teases, holding her hand as she gets into his car.

He closes her door before swiftly making his way to the driver’s side, eagerly getting in and putting his seatbelt on before starting the car. After making plans to hang out as a group one last time before the year officially ends for the seniors, YN and Beomgyu also decided to make their own plans. And for them, it only made sense to go back to the place they had their first (several) “dates”.

On the way, YN couldn’t help but reminisce about those dates. Smiling to herself remembering how she thought Beomgyu was amusing and kind of greasy with his flirtatious advances. But most importantly, how cute he was too. The way he would light up whenever he managed to get a laugh or smile out of her. Or, the way he would switch between every pet name in the book to find which one got the biggest reaction. Maybe she always had a bit of a crush on him, like Yunjin suspected. But, she could never give her the satisfaction of being right.

Beomgyu pulled up to park along the street, just in time for the final moments of the sunset. When they got out of the car, Beomgyu quickly grabbed some blankets from his trunk before heading down the lawn together and setting up along the Han River. YN sat down and leaned against Beomgyu, enjoying the views as he helped pull a blanket over her lap. It’s been a while since they’ve been down here. However, YN preferred to forget that last time ever happened.

It was their first time back at the river as an actual couple and the difference was noticeable. They weren’t hiding their feelings behind the guise of “method acting”, or fighting back nerves about accidentally ruining what they had. Since deciding to give their relationship a chance, they’ve become more relaxed around each other. They weren’t thinking about the future or the past. For once, they were able to enjoy the present and simply look forward to what the future had in store for them.

“You know,” Beomgyu began, waiting until he had YN’s attention. She sat up, looking at him with curious eyes. “I don’t think I’ve ever told you how incredible these last few months were with you.”

YN giggled, “I think you’ve mentioned it once or twice.”

“Well, let me say it a third,” Beomgyu said. “I think this spring has been the most memorable part of my entire high school experience.”

“Mine, too,” YN confessed, reaching to interlock their fingers. “I almost don’t want it to end. I want to stay like this.”

Beomgyu couldn’t help but smile at the faint pout YN wore as she stared at their hands.

“Do you think we’ll make it through the summer?” She asked quietly.

“Without a doubt,” Beomgyu reassured. “If we can survive whatever hell this spring put us through, we can survive whatever summer has in store.”

YN laughed, tension dissipating. She knew it was only the beginning and that meant there were a plethora of obstacles they could face in the future. But, with Beomgyu’s reassurance, she felt confident they could make it through it all. After all, there’s no one she would rather push through the barriers of life with than the boy who made her feel she could do anything.

“Just like we said during the musical,” Beomgyu reminded. He cleared his throat and sang, “We go together~”

He nudged YN’s shoulder, trying to entice her to join him. She grinned, attempting to suppress her laugh as she entertained his endless attempts to ease her worries with his silly antics.

“Remembered forever,” she sang softly.

“Chang, chang, changitty-chang-shoobop”

“We’ll always be like one,” They sang, leaning in slowly until there was no room for air left between them.

That warm, gentle burn bubbled inside their chests as their lips met and moved against one another. The taste of vanilla lip balm began to feel like comfort, rendering them both weightless. Beomgyu’s hand always found its place along YN’s cheek, loving the warmth radiating off her face as she became flushed. He found it especially endearing watching the way her eyes blinked open after they pulled away, trying to avoid eye contact with him.

No matter how long it’s been, YN doesn’t think she could ever get used to the way Beomgyu made her feel. The way he made her face turn red with his sweet words or the way he made her heart pound when they kissed. But, most importantly, the way he made her feel safe and supported. His way of encouraging her and pushing her to face her fears gave her a sense of courage she never knew was possible. She felt confident standing up for herself and taking chances because she knew Beomgyu would be in her corner to cheer her on.

The future was bleak and uncertain just a few months ago for Beomgyu. He didn’t have a dream because he didn’t think it would matter. He spent what he had left of high school trying to have as much fun with his freedom as long as he had it. But, for once, he felt like he was allowed to dream and desire after meeting YN. She was full of passion and determination, holding optimism for what her future would be. She was inspiring. For once, he felt like he had the will to fight for something he loved doing. All because YN became his first dream from the moment he heard her sing.

“We’ll always be together,” He hummed, resting his forehead against hers.

“We’ll always be together,” She sang back, surrendering to his gaze.

A promise to be by each other’s side, never letting doubt or worries hold them back again from shaping the future they want.

a/n: I'm in my Beomgyu era bro, he's just so princess coded and I want to spoil him and do everything to him but bros a little teasing shit but I just thought of THIS one random day, but please, I need more of this stuff.

Okay, but imagine this:

We all know Beomgyu is playful and teasing by nature, we love him like that but I've never seen this applied in any fanfic.

I started to imagine him having a soft spot for his s/o, and with soft spot I mean that he won't tease you or make too many jokes on you, unlike his members, you're his whole world, and he can't help but be so soft and caring with you bc he loves u so much :(((

Imagine you're staying over at Beomgyu's, but he still share the dorms with his members, which is not a problem bc they love you and you love them too.

You can hear the yelling and bickering from out of the dorms, but once you knock the door, they stop and Beomgyu runs to open the door for you, bright smile on his face and his eyes sparkling with adoration.

You greeted him with a soft peck and entered the place, the rest of the guys greeting you as well but the bickering quickly started again

Yj: "Y/N, BEOMGYU ATE MY FOOD!"

Bg: "YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

It's actually amusing.

But of course, you don't like your boyfie causing trouble to his members.

"Beomgyu" you said in a soft but still scolding tone, Beomgyu just whined while holding your hand, rolling his eyes at Yeonju's smirk.

"Fineeeee, I'll buy him another one" he groaned, pulling you towards him by the arm immediately, wrapping his arms around you in a gentle and caring manner, burying his face on the crock of your neck, smiling when your sweet and known (for him) scent.

You chuckled a little at his childish but sweet behavior, he always clung to you as much as he could, and you just loved it. You softly stroke his long hair, he moaned softly at the touch, feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

"You should move in here to control your boyfriend" Soobin said with a chuckle, smiling at the sweet scene.

"Or we can kick him out" Yeonjun said while rolling his eyes.

"HEY" you couldn't help but laugh, Beomgyu pouted at your laughs and rolled his eyes, kissing your cheek and taking your hand again "Let's go to my room, I don't want you near those dickheads" he said while dragging you to his room, locking the door while the rest of the members laughed.

"You know deep down you love them" you said while smiling, sitting on the bed while he went to sit down beside you, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you towards his chest while he laid down on the bed, dragging you with him.

"I love you more" he hummed, grabbing your hands and putting them on his hair, indicating you to stroke his hair, which you did immediately with a soft smile. He always was like this, soft, caring, gentle, warm.

He was always soft with you, every time you are with him you can feel the warmth and sincerity of his feelings, how he's always careful with you, as if you were the most important thing in the world, treating you as delicate as if you were made of glass.

That was Beomgyu with you, you were his weak point.

And he didn't mind at all.
