I like that there’s two statements where some unremarkable depressed guy working a dead-end job meets a mysterious woman and is charmed and falls in love with her and goes on dates with this Magical Mystery Girlfriend like some sort of rom-com cliché until suddenly the horror genre tag kicks back in, cuts the Manic Pixie stuff off at the knees and just fucking obliterates the poor bastard.

LISTEN, Benoît Maçon loved and respected his new wife, and loved her children and wanted to be a family with them and provide a home, and they were the only bright spot in his lonely and unfulfilling life, and if you think that's wrong because the both the woman and children in question were, in fact, literal bugs, that's really a you problem. Don't hate.
