“Is it weird to be looking at souvenirs when you live here?”  The question was half muttered to himself, but Benny was sort of actually asking.  “I haven’t really lived here that long, and I’m dying to actually decorate the apartment.”

Benny felt like the white woman thinking of math meme at Layla's response, but he figured he'd just ask Copeland about it later. "I think that's one of my favorite things about moving here," he responded cheerfully. "An extra little treat in my little treat? The UK has it figured out."

“I try,” Layla mused with a gentle laugh, casting a glance back in Benny’s direction. When he questioned the honeycomb, however, her eyes narrowed a moment and she shook her head. “It is what they make. They had it at breakfast the last time I visited Paris.” She shrugged a little. “But there’s also the type you get in the middle of Maltesers and Crunchie’s…” Attention back on the ice-cream, she became thoughtful. “They’ll always put a flake in.”

"Cope!" Benny waved excitedly at her as he jogged off the set the were working on for the day, hair sweaty and eyes bright. "This is such perfect timing; I was just thinking about you." He quickly pulled her in for a kiss before settling back to bounce on the balls of his feet. "Did you come visit so I can steal you away for lunch?"

Networking had never been Benny’s downfall - if anything, he was a little too chatty at any given time.  The fact that he was currently employed was unimportant - if he recognized someone else from the media industry, there was a high chance he was going to get in their bubble.

“Hey - I know you,.”  Not personally, of course, but by sight.  “I saw a movie with you in it recently - I forget the name now, but you were really good.  Are you working on anything right now?”

“I’m so thrilled you could come join me,”  Benny couldn’t sit still, moving around in the trailer, clearly just excited to be in his element and have a friend with him.  “Cope has visited me, of course, but you know, she works too, and I don’t have a ton of friends or anything.”  He paused for a moment.  “I’m sure you’ve been on tons of sets though, seeing with who you work with an all.”

"Maybe I should have tried to be a bartender instead of an actor.... But I don't think I would have been as happy. Like, I'm super friendly and outgoing, but if I don't get attention I'll die like Tinkerbell." Benny shook his head a little. "Mmm; I guess I don't really know. I start most of my days that I'm not filming sort of just doing whatever I feel like at the moment. I try to give my wife a little reprieve from me so she can go do other things, otherwise I'd just follow her around like a puppy all day."

"Ah, well I am glad to meet somebody who knows what I mean. I love having a good chat with people, comes with being a bartender, have to know how to keep a conversation, I've made some good friends with just starting random conversations with them. Me? Well to be fairly honest, I'm not too sure, I might get some shopping done later on, but other than that, my day is wide open! What about you?"

Benny didn’t usually go out very much, but he was restless and figured a night out could be good for him.  “I’ll be honest - I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb,” he sighed to the person he came out with.  “I feel like everyone knows I don’t go to clubs a lot.”

"Yeah - that totally makes sense," already his head was bobbing up and down in a nod. "I think I'll take your advice on that - besides, you know what they say, happy wife, happy life, right?" Not that Benny was particularly worried about keeping Copeland happy. "Speaking of though, I should probably be getting back to her - she's gonna think I got turned around again, but I swear I know exactly where I am this time."

KENJI NODS , PRIDEFUL , IN A SENSE , ‘ oh yeah , it’s possible , but i guess that’s all up to interpretation , right ? ‘ he bets that some people hate reading from a script , and therefore end up doing something along the lines of improv or … something similar . ‘ i mean , think about it , an artist may find their work fun and exciting , but someone else ? could get stressed out about it . still , you need a vacation , once your things are taken care of ? get the hell out of town for a while and come back with a new view on things , trust me . it’s only a benefit . ‘

"I suppose you make a point," Benny drawled playfully. "Honeycomb? I thought that's what the bees made their nests out of?" No one would ever call Benny smart - in fact, he knew he was very lucky that he had a cute face. "Maybe... Oh, the peach flavor sounds like it could be really good! Will they put that little chocolate piece in it still?"

Layla grinned, glad that he was up for it —- but then, could anyone really say no to ice-cream? “Maybe it does, but you know I think I would prefer to stick to my actual career, you know?” Laughter spilled from her lips as they made their way into the ice-cream and she began looking at the flavours on offer. Hmm, decisions, decisions. “Go for something new?” she suggested with a smile. “I’m personally thinking the honeycomb looks tempting.”

"I could always go for ice cream." Benny was practically drooling just at the thought. "Well, hey, you can't be the best at everything, right? But I guess that really does solidify your career of taking photos of other people since you can't take selfies." As they approached the closest ice cream shop, he peered at the flavor board. "I always have the worst time trying to choose what I want."

“Oh, well, that’s where you and me differ, I am awful at selfies,” Layla said with a playful roll of her eyes. “Officially the most unflattering photos of me in existence if I’ve taken them.” She chuckled gently and then nodded her head. “Please, let’s go. You fancy grabbing some ice-cream or something?”

"I do know what you mean." Benny was immediately comfortable, grinning widely at Lorna. "I'm super social, you know? I love talking to people, and I usually find the more conversations I have, the more likely it is that I'll stay away. The caffeine helps, of course, but I think just having my brain focus on stuff like what other people are saying helps a lot. So what do you have planned for today?"

Lorna looked at him with a small smile appearing on her lips. "Oh don't worry about it, trust me, if you mind it, maybe a conversation with somebody would probably keep me up more than the coffee, I mean it's doing the job but, not keeping me wide awake. You know what I mean?" She said before taking a small sip of her coffee, keeping the cup in her hands.

Benny wasn't really what you could (or should) describe as a morning person - but once he got going, he didn't stop. The cafe was way busier than he was used to, but he didn't really have enough sleep to tell you why. He hadn't meant to stand so close to Lorna while he tried to figure out where he could stop and sit for a few minutes, but at the invitation, he gratefully joined her.

Lorna had never been so tired in her life, not only was she on a late shift but her neighbours were having guests over so she only managed to get a few hours of sleep. Thankfully the coffee she got was giving her a boost of energy that she needed to do shopping that day. She had been looking down at the list she had scribbled down before she left and hadn't noticed the other until she looked up for a second. "Oh I didn't realise how packed it was, need to sit down? I don't mind."
