You whined, repeatedly poking your boyfriend’s cheek as he looked through a new script for an upcoming project, while both of you sat on the couch. Once again, he didn’t even spare you a glance as his attention shifted from the papers in his hand to the laptop he had expertly balanced on his thighs.

Huffing, you stood up and made your way to the kitchen to get a glass of water. You had been trying to get his attention for hours but he was too drown in his work to even look at you. You tried everything. From making the most annoying sounds you could ever think of to poking him over and over again. This wasn’t the first time this has happened. Jake tends to drown himself in work when he’s trying to meet a deadline and someway, somehow he creates his own mental bubble, effectively blocking himself from the outside world.You usually don’t mind but today your were extra needy and wanted cuddles.

With a sigh you picked two bottles from the fridge, making your way back to the living where Jake still was and hadn’t moved a single muscle. You placed a bottle on the side table by him on his side of the couch and then made your way over to the other side of the couch,plopping down, pondering over ways and means you could get him stop working or at least take a break. Suddenly, an idea popped into your mind. It wasn’t the brightest but it didn’t matter because you were too desperate. You grinned and headed towards you and Jake’s shared bedroom, ready to bring your idea to life and your plan to action.

Minutes later, you stood in front of Jake, mentally bracing yourself for the consequences that may befall you if your plan goes terribly, terribly wrong. You reached forward, after finally mustering enough courage, and snapped his laptop shut, moving it away from him and on to the center table.

“What the hell?!” he exclaimed angrily, raising his head to give you a glare until he finally took notice of what you was wearing.Normal girlfriends would probably be wearing lingerie or be butt naked or even be wearing their boyfriends clothes in a sexy manner. You weren’t a normal girlfriend so there you stood, practically swimming in one of his white dress shirts, a pair of old grey sweatpants he’s refused to give up on, Nike sneakers that were obviously a couple of sizes too big and , to tie everything together, a pair of black framed glasses that Jake only wore when he couldn’t find his contacts.

“What the hell?” He said again, this time with more amusement, accompanied by his signature wheeze of laughter.

“I’m Jacob Benjamin Gyllenhaal.”  you answered , trying your best not to break character and let out a fit of giggles. “I’m a blue eyed devil who’s not giving me girlfriend attention.Oh and I have a soft, starry eyed pug face.” you added this time finally giving in and letting out breathless giggles.

“Oh, I see how it is. Someone’s being petty and mean today.” he quipped, pulling you closer to him by the waistband of the sweatpants that threatened to fall off your hips at any given moment. He wrapped his arms around your torso, resting his big hands at the small of your back and looking up at you with the grin you’ve been longing to see since the day began.

“Petty and mean? I have no idea what you’re talking about.” you replied with a grin of your own as you cupped his cheeks, and later combed your fingers through his beard. 

“Oh, I think you do.” he countered. “The last time I heard someone say I have a ‘soft, starry eyed pug face’ was when I read mean tweets. So, yeah, definitely petty and mean.”

You pouted, “Well, I just wanted some of your attention.” You moved to straddle his hips as his hands now moved from the small of your back to your butt. Shifting forward, you started peppering kisses along his jaw all the way to his neck and then ending at his earlobe, which you tugged at, slightly, with your teeth.

“Well, you definitely have all my attention now” he groaned out, as he felt himself hardening, when you decided to tease him a bit by wiggling your hips.

Cuddles be damned. You just thought of something better to do with his attention.
