Scott|Erica: Home Alone

After replying to Erica's last text, Scott hopped off his bed and jogs down the stairs. He leaves a note to his mom just in case before grabbing his hoodie and walking out the door. He walks the 10 minutes it takes to get to Erica's house, stopping once to grab some candy and chips to eat. He knocks at the front door and sways as he waits for the blonde to answer.

Peter is always waiting in the wings with his opinions and his predictions but the older Hale knows that his time for having a say is done. Derek had considered what he had to say but in the end it was his decision and taking counsel from anyone was tough for him. He was Alpha but it was more than just some title as he was coming to find out--there were responsibilities piled on it and one of the more important ones was taking care of his pack mates.

Although he could sympathize with Boyd and Erica's decision to run the outcome had been messy. The Alpha Pack had found them and left a charming little drawing on the Hale House's front door. Plenty of tense mediation sessions ensued once Derek was made aware that Boyd and Jessica were their captives. The Alpha pack was a group of anomalies all clustered together, that many Type A personalities could only mean dysfunction and mental disorders.

Turns out Derek wasn't too far off base with that assumption and like most people in a bad way they wanted to see if Derek was made of the right 'stuff' to join their gang. Is this how I came off to Isaac and the rest of them? A Class A Creep? He'd bargained with them and yes, he had lied. In exchange for the lives of his wolves he had to join their farce. They were probably going to out-maneuver him on this one but Derek had time, they had allowed him as much.

Watching Boyd and Erica stumble toward him, numb with terror, had made him angry and he hadn't been able to keep it from bleeding onto his face. He had to work hard to make these fucks believe he was into their game and no matter how much he didn't want to see the sense in their cunning words it was a seductive offer, to be sure.

But he wasn't Peter.

That same night he went to check on them, Erica first, tapping lightly on the door. "Hey? You awake?"
