Fresh from our gallery, this lovely Mario Bellini Bambole sofa set is one of the most versatile pieces we have sourced; thanks to its four seating elements you can arrange in different layouts. This Sofa set is made of four pieces. You can arrange as a four seater one line sofa, a sofa settee and two armless chairs in front, a three seater and one chair on the side or a L shape sofa right or left side corner. One of the most easy and practical set, this vintage Mario Bellini sofa has been fully restored inside and out and newly upholstered with Italian white boucle’ fabric. We sourced this Bellini sofa in Italy and restored through our Italian restorer. Le Bambole Sofa collection is a historic sofa design from the 1970s and  1980s, originally designed in 1972  for C&B Italia. It represents  another winning design by Architect Mario Bellini after the Camaleonda, Amanta and Scacchi collection. At the time the Bambole collection was seen as a totally new approach to living, a daring new concept with innovative materials starting from the new and interior constructions which was made using multi density polyurethane foam supported not by conventional frames and belts but by four metal vertical inserts at the front and back connected by a metal base. The polyurethane molded structure played a key role in defining the comfort of this sofa, a sofa with no conventional bearing structure.  The collection was a variety of elements to combine or kept separate, a long three seater sofa a settee, chairs, lounge chairs and day beds. It was ideal to create unique and personalized layouts.

MARIO BELLINI LE BAMBOLE SOFA 1980S NEWLY UPHOLSTERED

Vintage authentic Mario Bellini sofa settee ‘Le Bambole’ manufactured in the 1980s, newly upholstered in white boucle’ fabric and new interior padding. This is the settee version called Bibambola measuring approximately 67"/68" inches length.  1 Sofa is available, arriving soon from Italy. This Mario Bellini Le Bambole sofa is the 1980s model, and NOT the re-edition late 2007. The sofa is in good condition with new upholstery, white boucle' mix material, the fabric is a mix of wool, cotton,linen,polyester,viscose.

Architect Mario Bellini won 8 Compasso D’Oro awards and claims about 25 of his designs in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art of New York City. He collaborated with the most influential Italian furniture companies, and was editor of Domus, a prominent design magazine from 1985 to 1991. He then dedicated his activity to Architecture creating projects like the Islamic Art Center at the Louvre, the Tokyo Design Center in Japan, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne and many other domestic and International projects. Some of his most successful furniture designs were in collaboration with Cassina and B&B Italia.

Use straight in a long sofa version or sectional in an L shaped composition. Authentic from the period, fully restored inside too with new Dupont Dacron Filling and new inside coverings, and new Italian fabric in white Boucle'.
