Summary: Like the title says, it’s Christmas!

Sounds of cars across the street, snow was rolling down the road and people were walking around the neighborhood in glee. But inside the household held asleep bodies of each other in their rooms, along with the kiddos all asleep in one giant bedroom.

It was a peaceful morning—

Well…

That was until the kiddos woke up.

Joshua’s eyes shot open smiling, “It’s the day…”

“The most significant day of the year..” Astrid yawned smiling softly.

“It’s Christmas!” Bella added rubbing her eyes gently grinning mischievously, “Wanna head downstairs?”

Astrid and Joshua exchanged a glance between smiling at Bella, before racing downstairs with her. One after another, dressed in red, green and blue rushed the trio down the steps quietly. Bella hushed them, making sure not to wake up their parents, aunts or even uncles.

In the living room stood the glamorous Christmas tree that was decorated to the very last touch. It was a rainbow of color Christmas lights, along with rows of bright white ones to balance it. And you couldn’t forget the plenty of wonderful ornaments that hung around with care. It was an absolute sight to see.

Underneath the tree was a vast variety of presents small, medium and large to choose from. Santa came in clutch this year! They were surprised Santa Claus gifted the family so much, especially after trying to ship themselves to the freaking North Pole and trying to catch him all in one week! But it was a big deal nonetheless.

Without a single second to spare, the trio went on to start opening up their presents. All getting toys like stuffed animals, video games, dolls, action figures, play sets, books and cards. However before they could continue to open up their lovely gifts, a voice was heard.

“Good morning, kids!”

The trio screamed and gasped in disbelief, surprised to hear the words this time of the day. They turned their attention to the voice in the doorway who screamed at their timed shouting—Ethan. In pure shock and surprise, the tray of breakfast he was carrying went flying above his head along with the food.

One by one things went falling as they dropped upon Ethan’s head. The metal tray slammed onto the top of his head before sliding off to the ground, then the bagels, and multiple pancakes went falling on him. Oh! Can’t forget the bacon too.

“Watch out, dad…” Bella said wincing at the sight.

Astrid grunted at the scene, “Oof…”

“Someone get the first aid kit..” Joshua added, hissing at the fallen breakfast.

And if that wasn’t enough, the fried eggs fell apart and onto Ethan’s curls. The man stood there frozen in shock, wincing and growling biting his inner cheek. It was rare for Ethan Lensherr to get upset but seeing the heat particularly rise across his face to the tippy top of his head, practically overcooking the fried eggs, it was almost comedic. Straight out of a cartoon.

He was sure, he had a mild concussion.

But seeing the children’s little faces that held a mixture of shock, shyness, embarrassment and disbelief, it was evident they were sorry. Heck, it was enough to make Ethan deflate like a balloon and let a small hint of blush rise to his cheeks.

“Aw, it’s Christmas..” He said chuckling awkwardly, rubbing his temple feeling like he needed to lay down a bit. “Uh, somebody get your mother…”

Ethan was laying on the couch as Liane nursed an ice pack over his head. She heard Cole’s buzzing laughter watching the footage of what happened earlier to his brother as she sent him a glare. Nikolai was cleaning the mess up as he kept an eye on the kids, meanwhile Mia and Jeremy were making breakfast once again for everyone.

“Joshua, Bella, Astrid, what were three thinking?” Nikolai asked nicely as he kept cleaning.

Bella shrugged, “That it’s Christmas duh, uncle Nik, everybody knows what you gotta do..”

“And that there would be plenty of amazing presents to be open..” Astrid continued softly.

Joshua finished off, “Besides, none of the adults were awake, so why not get a head start?”

“Eh, I see stars..” Ethan said, being dramatic at this point.

Liane chuckled, “That’s the star on the tree, honey.”

“Ooh…I knew that!”

“Hehe, even on Christmas morning you’re a silly guy.”

“I forgot to give you a morning dose of my love.”

“Allow me, sir.”

She leaned down to press a soft kiss to his lips as he kissed her back in full force, feeling much better. You could heard the kids making comments and looking away at the couple off affection in front of them.

Nikolai chuckled then looked at the kids, “Just be careful next time, okay? We need to all make it to New Years.”

In response the kids nodded, still in their pjs and went off to play with their new stuff. Nikolai rolled his eyes, then headed to the kitchen to get some more napkins when the smell of fresh pancakes hit his nose and he was in heaven. He wrapped his arms around his wife purring, before stealing a strip of bacon off the plate beside her.

“Hey!” Mia remarked chuckling flipping the pancake, trying to slap his hand away from the plate, but failed. “You can’t wait?”

“I’m a growing boy, love.” Nikolai replied cheekily and pulled her tighter kissing her temple, “Mhmm, I wrapped a few extra presents for later.”

“A few extra presents? What do you mean?”

“Oh, nothing crazy. Just a few ticket for a tropical vacation and other things.”

Her eyes widen seeing his bright smirk and blushed, as she whispered yelled, “Vacation?!”

“Shh, not too loud!” He whispered back snickering loudly, but he couldn’t hold back his own excitement either. “But yeah, among other things. Maybe we can get started on planning it together?”

“After the holiday season, of course, right?”

“Oh absolutely! I ain’t that crazy.”

“Nikolai.”

“You married me, remember? I ain’t normal!”

On the other side of the kitchen, Cole stood in the doorway practically eyeing Jeremy down, undressing him with his eyes. He looked like a cartoon character from Tom & Jerry or something. Jeremy raised an eyebrow and chuckled as he made breakfast. He just finished with the bagels, now he was currently cooking the eggs for everyone.

“Are you gonna keep undressing me with your eyes or you gonna help me?” Jeremy teased him.

Cole smirked, “Nah, you look good amazing doing it by yourself.”

“I made sausage earlier, if you want some.”

“No thank you darling, I‘ll have some later after breakfast.”

“But I’m not making…Cole!”

Cole couldn’t help but laugh as he threw that comment in there, he loved when he could mess around with Jeremy. Yes, of course, he was usually the ultimate boss and more responsible one, but if Cole could tip the scales to throw him off his game, it made his day.

However Jeremy smirked, “Oh your father texted me, he said he was coming over earlier today.”

“What?!” Cole exclaimed as his smirked less slightly. “First off, you texted my father and secondly, when?!”

“Yeah, we text. Well, more like Charles texted me about Erik coming over instead of both of them, as he’s staying with Raven, Rochelle and the others today.”

“Ah, shit, I gotta get Astrid ready!”

“What for? He sees his grandchildren every few months, he’s not gonna care if they’re in still in pjs.”

“You don’t bloody know that!”

Afterwards, the children were forced to change out of their pjs and into actual clothing for the day—thanks to Cole and Liane—however it wasn’t so bad, because they were given a surprise gift, being sleds. Each one in particular colors to tell them apart.

Poor Liane she was almost shoved to the side and attacked by the children as a thank you. But she was more than happy to see their joyful expressions, but glared at Cole who was laughing at her.

It was smooth sailing for there on out, until Bella opened the front door to lead Joshua and Astrid out of the house, to be surprised by their grandparents. May and Erik, minus Charles who was at the other house.

“Grandma! Grandpa!” Yelled the children in glee, rushing to hug May first.

May chuckled, hugging them tightly pressing a kiss to the top of their heads, as she said, “Merry Christmas, my angels! I missed you all so much. Oh! I brought cookies!”

Mia was about to yell from the sidelines about no cookies until after lunch but was cut off by the kids who yelled in pure excitement, and most importantly, her husband. If there one thing that Nikolai, and the others couldn’t resist was Aunt May’s cookies. Even Liane enjoyed the taste of those cookies, especially during the holiday season.

Liane happily took May’s coat as the older woman greeted all the other adults in hugs and warm applause. Mia hugged her mother and took the bowl of delicious cookies out of her hands to be placed in the kitchen, which resulted in the kids shouting how they wanted to try some.

“Hey! What about me?” Erik said suddenly with his arms open, and soon enough received the same amount of attention from the children. However this time, they tackled him to the ground as he laughed hugging them. “Oof! That’s more like it.”

Ethan was laying on the couch watching with a soft smile waving at them.

Cole chuckled lightly, a bit smug seeing the sight as he said, “Hey dad.”

Erik was now sitting on the floor with the children surrounded. He took a moment to see the kids in regular clothes and not pjs, before raising an eyebrow, “Why are they dressed like they’re going to a holiday party?”

With that Cole rolled his eyes as Jeremy snickered mumbling a soft, “Told you so.”

It's late, I'm aware, I've had an emotional day. Ithaca Saga, Doctor Who, Gavin & Stacey Finale, I spent most of the day eating, drinking, crying or laughing. But here is a Christmas Fic that started as a lighthearted play on an old Christmas Song meets Home Alone but somehow became heartwarming? Anywhere I present (ha present 🎁)

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus 🎅💋

Christmas Morning

"Good morning my darling, Merry-" Liane started, peeking through Belladonna's bedroom door but being caught off guard by her daughter standing there in the dark, shining a flashlight in her eyes. "What the hell, Mom!" Bella growled as Liane's eyes went wide. "What? Blackbird, what's the matter?" She asked kindly, worry in her voice.

"Don't Blackbird me, you..you...floozy!" Bella cried as Liane gasped. "Belladonna! What do you mean?" Liane replied, her face hardening. "I saw you..last night...you have some explaining to do." She frowned, taking a seat on the bed, still shining her flashlight into her mother's eyes as Liane's face fell. "Ah. That. So um...ah screw it you're old enough now. Listen, cause I'm only going to explain this to you once and its your choice to say this to the others. Okay?" Liane answered, looking Bella in the eye. "Fine. Explain."

Christmas Eve

The kids were all sat in the lounge, huddled around a page as they plotted their escapade. "As soon as he arrives, Joshua you'll start the camera recording so when Santa reaches for the cookies, Astrid will pull on the pulley, dropping the hunting net on him and Gia, Georgie, you'll hit the lights." Belladonna grins, pointing out each part of the trap. Riley frowned, looking at the trap. "What if the net doesn't work, he is magic yknow." Riley says, raising her eyebrows as Bella smirks.

"Then we go to Plan B, where you'll activate JARVIS and set off the alarm while I throw the back up net over him and tackle him." Bella finished, grinning. But Georgie was still skeptical. "What if no one shows up?" He says, his lip quivering as Bella sighs. "Then we'll know for sure. Either way, we'll have proof." She says, rolling up the paper before the grown ups can see their plans.

"Hey kids, Stella says dinner's nearly ready, go wash up and help set the table," Liane says as Ethan joins her, backing her up. "She's right, go help in the kitchen, you guys." He says, putting an arm around Liane as the kids walk away, kissing her cheek. "Is my suit ready?" He asks as she nods. "It's in the dressmaker studio for you. Along with the beard and wig, I wanted it to feel authentic," she smiles as Ethan loops his arms around her waist. "Can't wait to unwrap my gift from you," He grins, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"You might get to open that a lot sooner than you think," she grins, raising an eyebrow as Ethan smirks. "Now that won't be a Silent Night..." he mutters softly as Mia walks by clearing her throat. "If you could leave the Naughty List talk for the bedroom, that would be great," she smiles, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Ethan pulled away a little, smiling. "Of course, apologies Mia." He says as Mia bats each of them on the head with a tube of wrapping paper. "Do not traumatize the kids with pillow talk, if you please." She huffs, striding away as Liane collapses into giggles.

Later..

"He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight—

Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!" Liane finished, smiling as the children watched her close the book. "Now I think if any of you want a visit from Santa, you should all go to bed!" She says, ushering the children to bed. "But I'm not tired!" Gia whined as Liane chuckled. "Bed, all of you, go on." She smiled, tucking them into bed, finishing with Belladonna.

"Goodnight my blackbird, sweet dreams," she said, kissing Bella's forehead as she tucked her in, returning to the door, smiling. As the door closed, Bella quickly slipped out of her bed, grabbing her plans and supplies, waiting for the adults to return to the bar upstairs as she snuck out, knocking on the doors of her co-conspirators. "Okay, time to put our plan into action. Operation Capture Santa." She whispered, sneaking to the lounge, laying down tripwire and hanging nets, ready for Santa to arrive. "Positions!" She whispered, setting up the camera on its tripod.

The children waited. And waited. And waited. Georgie yawned, tired. "Maybe there isn't a Santa Clau-" He began as a poof of cloud appeared in the room as a man dressed in red, trimmed with fur with a sack on his shoulder, landed on the carpet. Bella pointed at Joshua, signalling him to turn on the camera as Santa looked around, his beard trimmed with gray as he surveyed the room. He began unloading his pack, placing presents around the tree as Riley sat in her hiding place, ready to release the net.

As Santa finished delivering his gifts, his gaze fell on the plate of cookies with a glass of milk and he smiled, his green eyes glittering as he approached. As soon as he grabbed a cookie, Riley released the net to catch him, but before the net landed Santa quickly poofed out of the way, chuckling a little as he lands by the tree. Bella grimaced, signalling Riley to activate JARVIS' security system as Belladonna gripped the net, ready to tackle him.

As Santa heard the alarms go though, a light turned in the hallway as a bedroom door opened and a voice called out "Ugh JARVIS, cancel alarm!" And Liane stepped out of the shadows, eyeing Santa. "Well hello there, Saint Nick..." she crooned, leaning on the doorway as Santa brushed himself off, grinning. "Why hello yourself, now what's a naughty girl like you doing out of bed?" He says, approaching her as the kids froze, watching in horror.

"Well I'd hate to waste this mistletoe, and who better to give me a kiss goodnight than the man himself.." she purrs, the light from her room revealing her red and white festive dress, cut very low in places, a Santa hat perched rakishly on her curls as Santa approached her, smirking as she pulled him in for a kiss under the doorway as the camera caught everything and Bella froze up, her face hardening. Liane giggled, tickling his beard as he whispered in her ear, before watching him disappear in a cloud of smoke and returning to her bedroom.

The room fell silent as Belladonna just stood there, face like thunder as she watched the doorway her mother entered and promptly exited through. "Bella?" Astrid said, tapping her shoulder slowly as Bella finally snapped back to reality. "Pack everything up, get back to bed before we wake the adults. And don't tell anyone what we saw tonight. You have to swear on it." She says firmly, looking at the kids. Georgie gulped a little but the kids all swore they wouldn't say a word before slinking off to bed.

Belladonna returned to her bedroom feeling hurt and betrayed. Her own mother, kissing Santa! There had to be another explanation but there was just no denying it. She'd seen it with her own eyes. And she had it on film. She hid her supplies back under the bed, crawled under the covers and lay there in the dark, trying to fall asleep.

Christmas Morning

"So what you saw...last night, wasn't the real Santa. That was your Dad, the real Santa gave those gifts to him and it was his turn to keep the magic alive. I'm sorry you saw that, I didn't know you kids were there. If I'd known, I wouldn't have-" Liane started, as Bella stopped her, understanding. "Mom, it's okay. You didn't cheat on Dad, that's all that matters. I don't really care if Santa's real or not, I cared about my Mother throwing herself at someone. I know you've been tearing your hair out about making this the perfect Christmas. So...here." She says, handing her a wrapped parcel.

"Is this for me?" Liane said, fingering the ribbon carefully. Belladonna nods, urging her to open it. She smiled, tugging at the ribbon and then tearing at the paper. As she revealed a velvet box under the paper, a small smile appeared on her face as she opened it to find a gold heart shaped locket inside. "Bells?" She said, a little in awe as she unclasped the locket to see a lock of dark hair inside. Bella carefully parted her bangs to reveal a few hairs snipped shorter.

"I wanted to give you something you'd be able to wear always, carrying a piece of me with you. Dad said giving you a baby tooth would be weird, he helped me pick it. He took me shopping, which I hate, but I did it for you." Belladonna finished, looking down a little as Liane smiled, lifting up her chin and kissing her cheek. "I love it, Bella. It's beautiful. And I love you, my little Black Dahlia." She smiled, tears in her eyes as Bella reluctantly opened her arms and Liane squeezed her tightly in a hug, crying.

"Ten, nine, eight," Bella started as Liane started wrapping up the hug. "I...I'll put it on right now. Help me, darling." She said, taking the necklace out of the box and pulling her hair aside as Bella carefully wound the dainty gold chain around her mother's neck. "It suits you," she replied, admiring the locket as Liane grinned. "How about we go and join the others and open gifts under the tree?" Liane suggested offering Belladonna her hand which she clasped tightly. "Merry Christmas, Mom."

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a very goodnight! Seriously its nearly midnight here, its almost Boxing Day in my timezone so I'm gonna go to bed in the next few hours...hopefully

Modern!AU: So, num AU dias atuais dos Holstein, primeiramente eles obviamente continuariam a ser suecos, só que ao invés de serem a família real eles são uma família política de gerações. Já houve, provavelmente, dezenas de Primeiro-Ministros e Presidentes do Parlamento com o sobrenome Holstein. 

O Carl foi Primeiro-Ministro, duas vezes consecutivas, e depois se tornou membro do Parlamento até morrer. O Gustav seguiu os mesmos passos, e foi um dos Primeiro-Ministros mais jovens da história (quando tinha uns 38-39 anos). Astrid, a gêmea mais nova, junto de Victoria era a queridinha da Suécia, apesar de ser mais por sua doçura do que no sentido de it-girl da irmã. Sempre foi um amorzinho de pessoa, e nunca ouve uma matéria ou comentário ruim feito sobre ela. Desde pequena, quando foi mandada para o internato, estava sempre junta do Vladmir, irmão da Gwyneth e filho do Joshua e da Olivia, e quando ficaram mais velhos e começaram a namorar não chocaram ninguém. A Sasa eventualmente se tornou uma bailarina profissional.

Summary: What happens when theses try to get on the same list?

It was the week of Christmas, and all though, not a creature was stirring not even a—wait! You didn’t think this would be a simple cute story did ya? Nope, it was not. The week of Christmas was good for everybody, except for the kids. They were causing trouble and making decisions that ended up being in timeout, the same night as Christmas Eve, was just the same.

And it didn’t help that Cole decided to strike a ting of fear in them. He told them to clean up their act or they won’t be on Santa’s Good List, just like he wanted to once. Astrid asked does he just buy it? Cole smiled at his daughter and shook his head, telling the trio that you can’t buy being on list, if it were that easy, he would’ve done it already. He told the children goodnight and went off his merry way to join the other young adults in the kitchen downstairs.

However that sparked an idea…

“Guys, I know what we gotta do.” Said Bella with a grin, “We get on Santa’s list.”

“And how are we supposed to do that?” Asked Astrid raising an eyebrow.

“Better yet, how are we supposed to get the North Pole? Migrate?” Joshua added sarcastically, waving his hands like he was flying. 

Bella asked if they had a better idea as the two shook their hands in response.

With that, the children sneaked away and shipped themselves to The North Pole within less than a couple of hours, as the large box they were sitting in landed right jab in the back of Santa’s Workshop. As they exited the box, their jaws dropped in awe. The place was dazzling with shiny colors, sweets stuffed in bowls, music filled in the background with cheer and Elves of all sorts working together to make sure that things remained running smoothly.

To blend in, Astrid stole warm Christmas hats that appeared to be beanies, for the each of them. Bella protested but eventually gave into the idea as Joshua smiled putting it on as his eyes scanned the room.

“I’m surprised we did.” Bella murmured under her breath looking at the workshop, acting calmly.

“Yeah, great, we’re here.” Astrid replied softly, “But how do we find Santa’s list room? I cannot see anything from this rate of movement.”

Suddenly Joshua remarked, “Well, I can’t see anything with this giant map in the way.”

The two girls turned around to the direction he was headed and yelling, “A MAP?!”

After a brief moment of scanning the large map, the trio began running to the room that held the lists only to find it to be locked. Not even a few tricks to unlock it, broke down the door either. It was stuck!

They realized, find Santa, they find the key.

Once again, they went to the map for a quick search of the room—being Santa’s office—before racing right up stairs to get it. Due to their location and hopes of not getting caught in the process, they strategize a plan—mainly Bella did as Astrid smirked and Joshua rolled his eyes—to get the key. They stole a fishing rod and wire, crawling into the air duct and opened a vent that stood above Santa’s very office.

Astrid opened the vent, sliding open a ceiling square to reveal below them Santa Claus snoring profusely on the couch. She snickering at the sight and stayed in awe, they were watching the big man in his most precious moments. It was kinda funny yet very strange and sweet.

“Why do I have to do this?” Joshua whisper yells as he’s tied his waist to the thick wire and relentlessly pulled on the glove, “Why can’t it be Astrid?”

“Because both of your parents are spies, stupid. It’s in your DNA or something.” Bella snarked back in a whisper.

“So are Astrid’s!”

Astrid smirked as she cut in correcting him, “Technically only my daddy is, papa is not. Besides, I believe in you, Josh.”

Joshua grumbled under his breath and exhaled, before being dropped down the vent and into the room. Bella and Astrid’s hands almost slipped, trying to be quiet while gripping the fishing rod in place. Plus it was a bit windy inside the air ducts, anyone could feel a chill band loose their grip by accident.

As they lowered Joshua down quiet and carefully, the wind blew past them along with the sight of mice, resulting in Astrid to loose her grip on the fishing pole. The boy went rushing down and dropping across the room, sucking in a deep gasp—however Bella ushered the mouse away for Astrid can reel her grip back, just before Joshua can go splat against Santa’s chest.

The girls sighed in relief exchanging a look. Due to Santa sleeping with his mouth slightly open, the boy automatically assumed it was gonna reek like god knows what, but to his surprise it didn’t.

“Ooh, peppermint.” He said glancing up at the girls, “With just a hint of moca.”

“Quiet!” The girls whisper yelled.

They maneuvered the fishing rod around as Santa tossed and turned on the couch making a few muffled noises. Joshua went swinging around towards the desk, reaching key and almost getting his butt caught in the crossfire of the fireplace. Despite the sounds being made and witty comments, Santa was still snoring peacefully.

“Nothing can wake that guy..” Bella murmured.

“Agreed.” Astrid replied quietly. “He’s wearing a sleeping mask too, so he has no idea we’re here…”

But they spoke too soon, because the phone rang loudly. JJ Claus stood up yawning, still wearing the mask over his eyes and was quietly handed the phone by Joshua who was hiding on the front of the desk.

“Santa! Thank the faithful time gods your awake! Liz was asking for you!” Yelled the voice over the phone, being Petra.

“Mhm, I figured, is it that time already?” He asked into the phone yawning and sniffled the air, “Ooh! What are they making down in the kitchen? I smell chicken..”

“Now don’t dilly dally, you hear? Please kick it up a notch.”

“Yes, yes, I’ll be down there soon, darling.”

Joshua showed the key to the girls as they grinned, using the fishing line to knock Santa’s hat off on purpose, causing the man to drop down to grab it after hanging up the phone. Without a second glance, they reeled the boy back up into the vent and slammed the door shut behind them.

“Hmm?” Hummed Santa on the floor, lifting up his sleeping mask to glance up at the ceiling.

With that, the kids raced down the halls and the work shop to the room where the list were. However as they did, they kept accidentally hitting and bumping into the elves who were hard work of the toys being prepared for wrapping. Bella yelled Joshua not to drop the key as he skateboard down the room, meanwhile the girls rollerbladed.

Astrid’s eyes widen relaxing they were gonna hit something but before she could voice her concerns, they knocked into a giant stack of Jailbreak Bob boxed toys. The boxes that they were in went flying everywhere along with the Jailbreak Bob action figures. It was a very interesting sight to see. All the elves from Tony to Melissa gasped at the mess, toys from left and right ranging from dolls to stuffed animals to action figures were knocked over and outside of their boxes.

All they work was ripped apart in matter of minutes.

Bella winced at the notion, she knew that the elves could fix this problem, figuring that this wasn’t the first time something must’ve happened. She grabbed Joshua and Astrid racing out of the room, they were running out of time anyway, so she rushing them up the stairs.

However once they rushed upon the staircase, entering the hallway, they were met with Santa Claus himself—JJ Claus—standing in front of them. The three blinked looking ashamed and embarrassed, as they frowned slightly.

“Oh woahhh! Watch out guys.” He said in a warm and comforting tone as he what was in Bella’s hands now. “Oh hey, you found my key.”

“Uhh..” Bella grumbled as she relentlessly gripped the key as she tugged it away from the man.

JJ was able to tug the key out of her hand successfully and thanked them, saying how he had to check that list one more time. There was a sparkle in his eyes, as if he silently knew what was going on here but wasn’t going to voice it anytime soon. He just safely put the key in his pocket and patted his jacket pocket casually.

The trio gasped, but was soon cut off by an elf wearing navy blue pants and a matching golden hat with a blue collar shirt. She was bouncing frantically and her accent was clear as day.

“Santa! JJ! C-come quick!” She said looking up at him gasping for breath. “It’s a horrible thing, we’re off schedule! Christmas is ruined!”

JJ looked at her furrowing his eyebrows and replied, “Doll, calm down, where are the others?”

“Melissa is working on test results, Ji-Hoon is bringing a snow day to cities right now and well, you know how the rest are.”

“Okay, yeah that sounds about right. But how could it possibly be?”

“Remember the sleigh crash of ‘64?”

“That bad?”

“Worse!”

Santa’s eyes widen at the sight of all the toys tossed around and unboxed instead of in the large red sack, rushing down following Sadie to the center of the workshop where everyone else was. Joshua, Bella and Astrid watched immediately in embarrassment of the damage, they caused. They frowned as their shoulders dropped and leaned against the wall.

“Papa was right…we might not clean up our act..” Astrid mumbled.

“Mama will be worried sick, if she doesn’t find any of us by morning in bed..” Joshua murmured.

Bella was silent looking at her cousins as her brain went through the millions of scenarios that could happen to them next. She nodded, rubbing her eyes before an idea came as she said, “But we can clean up our mess..”

The two looked up exchanging looks before nodding firmly at the Latina’s idea. That can do! So it was settled, they teamed together with Santa and the elves to fix the problem. All the toys went back into their boxes and wrapped in beautiful wrapping paper. Stuffed animals were tied up with golden ribbon, sports themed presents were strapped into their correct packaging and so much more.

Everyone celebrated as it was over and things were ready to go.

The kids took that moment to say their farewells and head back home, walking down the hallway where they once came. A part of them were ready to go home and call it a night but suddenly door to The List Room was open behind them, thanks to a janitor elf who entered the room to clean up. The elf, Clay, noticed them stating they couldn’t be in the room, but they tricked him saying there was an emergency sporting goods. In which resulted in Clay to rush out with his broom leaving the door open behind him.

“Woah, Santa needs to hire better staff…” Joshua mumbled, following the girls to the control panel.

The control panel carried all the information of locations across the globe and said houses too, including theirs. It was rather impressive! Soon enough after clicking a few buttons and turning on a switch, the trio found themselves looking at the list of names their family. The list rolled out like a long scroll ranging from Jeremy’s name to even Rochelle’s name, but not exactly the kids.

Their names were not immediately available to the public eye. It was locked under the children section.

Joshua handed over a pen to have their names printed under their parents instead, in the good list. Bella was this close to writing down the names until Astrid stopped her, taking the pen to write down someone else’s name instead. The three talked among themselves and smiled.

By morning the kids were tucked in their beds and awaken to the sounds of their parents voices. Mia yelled for the kids to come downstairs to open presents, as Cole shouted how breakfast was being served as well.

The kids rushed downstairs to find plenty of presents underneath the tree as they smiled widely. But one single present caught their eye.

A medium box in front of the Christmas tree. It was wrapped up and decorated in sliver ribbon.

They smiled and ushered for Cole to open it. Liane and Ethan chuckled in disbelief at Bella’s insistence. Jeremy grinned as he looked at his husband and daughter with enthusiasm. Nikolai snorted repeatedly as Mia smiled at Joshua pushing the gift towards his uncle.

“Santa got you a present!” Joshua said smiling.

Astrid and Bella nodded aggressively as they smiled.

“For me?” Cole said in amusement, grinning mischievously, “Well, if you insist.”

The moment Cole opens ripped off the wrapping paper and opened the boxed, his eyes dazzled in disbelief. He broke into a bright smile lifting out the gift within. It was none other than a designed leather black jacket with his Hogwart’s house printed in sliver lining on back, inside was a daring olive green color and sliver edges. It had his signatures written on the tag as well.

It was comforting and custom made for him.

Cole was speechless for a moment, taking in the beauty of the jacket. Liane smiled mumbling how she could’ve made him a jacket like that, which earned her a soft glare.

“Thank you, darlings!” Cole said brightly, pulling the kids into a hug, “I absolutely love this!”

To say this Christmas was a gift of joy was an understatement….

If there was one thing that Avengers Tower made sure to do was celebrate the holiday season, even if they had to tweak it a bit more than usual and have it be fitting for the family members. Hence, November holiday season, Thanksgiving. But due to past circumstances, they like to celebrate it as a Family Gathering instead.

Which was basically pre-Christmas according to Mia, due to everyone getting in the holiday mood for the season. If it was up to her, she would have had the Christmas tree up by today but Liane argued to wait until the weekend before December 1st.

Her and Jeremy had made sure to buy as much food as possible yesterday before chaos rocked the house. So the morning was spent with the getting the kids ready for the day, picking out clothing, cleaning up the living room and taking care of the dining table.

Currently Bella, Astrid, and Josh were watching The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on ABC, in glee. No complaints being raised by them yet, Ethan had put out crafts and other materials for the kids could be entertained.

Next off was the kitchen.

Usually, Nikolai would be preparing pots and Jeremy would be found cutting up any carrots for a salad.

To Mia’s surprise this year, when she walked into the kitchen, she found Ethan already starting to cook the turkey. Well put it in a pot that is, as he already put in the seasoning and garlic powder into the bird. There were potatoes being cooked, things being fried and some vegetables were left out to be washed.

And dare she say the kitchen smelled heavenly!

“Well, Ethan, this is pretty impressive. I thought we doing a non traditional thing this year?” She said chuckling.

Ethan was checking on the potatoes and smiled, “Yeah, we are! I just decided that having the traditional things like turkey and chicken would be more appropriate than just having pastas and sausages. What do you think?”

“Honestly, I love it. I’m just hoping we have enough people to eat this dinner together.”

“Mia, that’s why leftovers were invented.”

The two shared a wink and chuckled, knowing that holiday leftovers were honestly the best thing ever. Plus it meant, no one really had to cook for the following day and just heat up the food provided.

"How are the kids doing?" Ethan asked smiling, flipping the potatoes on the frying pan.

Mia shrugged returning the smile, "Eh, they're fine. Bella says she's thinks the performances are being overdramatic and some don't even know what they're doing on the parade floats."

"Not surprise, Astrid seems calm? Should we be concerned?"

"Nah, if she gets too calm and quiet, then we start asking questions."

"Oh! Joshie, wanted to help me with dinner earlier but...he may or may not poured dash more of seasoning in the chicken, so I had to fix it."

"Aw! He wanted to help out his uncle Ethan. Nice time, put him on salt and pepper duty."

"Already did. The kids a natural at that, but then he ran off to play. Reminds me of myself.."

Mia couldn't help but smile at that, before asking, "You need me to help with anything or..?"

She was cut off by Liane who waltz into the kitchen wearing a fuzzy purple sweater, thick black leggings with boots. She was wearing a beanie to match grinning, wrapping her arms around Ethan from behind and kissed his cheek.

"Hi!" She said in a squeal, her long nails and rings placed against his t-shirt.

Ethan smiled and glanced over his shoulder, "Hey my love, w-why are dressed like that? You're supposed to be helping us cook."

"Well, I was gonna do that but then I realized there are will be way too many cooks in the kitchen!"

"Babe."

"What? It's true!...ugh, fine! Black Friday Sales at the mall are starting right now. Actually, no, correction, Macy's Black Friday Sale starts right now and we want a nice deal."

"I'm sorry 'we'?"

Liane looked at him as if it was obvious, exchanging a look with Mia in hopes that she knows who that's referring too. But the short brunette just shook her head washing a few pots in the sink.

"The 'we' I'm referring too is me, Cole and Nikolai." Liane explained grinning excited, "Might even bring the kids with us too, they can sneak in between place and grab the good stuff."

Ethan's eyes widen and paused look at her as he said, "You're gonna do what?! The 3 of you are heading out to some sale at Thanksgiving morning."

Mia's blinked almost dropping the pot in the sink at the sudden news and added, "You can just leave."

"Oh come on, it's literally 11:35am! So technically the time we arrive to the mall it will be 12:15-ish." Liane replied softly, "We won't be out long!"

Mia shouted out her husband's name wanting to get clarification on what she heard, only to be met with the sound of yelling and a car engine from outside. Her eyes widen grabbing her sweater and beanie rushing to the balcony of The Tower, seeing Cole and Nikolai packing up the car.

Hell, Joshua about to climb into the car. She knew that Astrid wasn't a fan of crowded places, so it made sense but her kid. Wait where was Bella then?!

Her voice boomed yelling, "Hey, no! Get out of the car!"

Nikolai was packing up bags and looked up towards the balcony seeing his wife. He grinned with a cheeky expression, "No can do, love! Flat screen TVs and headphones are on sale!"

"Grr, Niko! You're supposed to be helping, not shopping!"

"You guys can handle it! Don't forget the garlic rolls for your famous fettuccine alfredo!"

"You won't be getting any, if you don't come back inside!"

"I think I'll live!"

"Niko!"

Cole's laughter can be heard from inside the drivers's seat. He texted Jeremy that he was going to go shopping earlier, and he quote 'get some early holiday done' but in reality he just wanted to buy his favorite stuff on sale.

He shouted from inside, "We'll be fine, darling! Go enjoy your afternoon without us for a while."

Before Mia can say anything else, she saw Liane sprint out the building and into the car, hearing Bella’s voice from the backseat replying sometimes to her month.

It was like her words were drowned out by their conversation as the car door slammed shut and the engine blew, without a trace of a word later they were gone.

When Mia returned to the kitchen, she found Astrid hoping Jeremy with making some cupcakes and even taste testing the ingredients. She knew she liked it much better than heading out to a nosy store with Cole and her cousins.

Ethan has seemed to left and chill out in the living room, leaving the brunette in charge of the food being cooked on the stove.

Mia chuckled, “Have fun there you two?”

Astrid was licking the spoon and smiled before replying, “Yeah. We made a salad and put garlic bread in the oven for dinner.”

“Why, aren’t you a little helper? I should just make you finish getting dinner ready, huh?”

In response Astrid made a face at her auntie’s cheesy teasing and went back to licking the spoon. Jeremy chuckled at his daughter’s expression and shook his head.

“She’s not falling for that.” Jeremy joked softly, glanced at Mia’s direction as he poured the batter in a pan. “But for real, you should’ve seen her earlier. She was a big help.”

Mia chuckled as she nodded stirring the pasta as she added cheese and creamy sauce to it.

She glanced at him and smiled, “Just surprise she didn’t insist on finishing the stirring the batter herself.”

“Oh no, she insisted on added in ingredients and making the icing.” Jeremy replied chuckling as he nods at Astrid’s direction, who was mixing the icing in a bowl. “But I reminded her to ask for help with anything.”

Mia melted smiled as she said her thoughts out loud, “Aww you’re such a good dad.”

Jeremy’s expression soften immensely at her comment. He’s been a father for 4 years now, but just hearing still made him get all warm and fuzzy inside. It was a feeling he couldn’t quite explain, but any other guardian or parent would understand.

“You’re a good mom too, Mia.” He replied in a gentle tone as he smiled sweetly.

“Aww! Well, not that good, cause I let my son go early Black Friday shopping with his father and uncle.” She added chuckling.

“Oh, don’t worry he’s fine, honey. Cole texted me earlier saying he’s going to get some holiday shopping done.”

“You really believe that?”

Jeremy’s bright smile lessened slightly after the realization hit him on what Cole was actually going to do. But honestly he couldn’t help but lightly laugh at the thought, he shouldn’t be too surprised at this point. High chance that Liane, Cole, Nikolai were going to spoil themselves a bit, by buying stuff they probably wouldn’t need.

Especially since Cole was in his spoiling era in his life when it comes to his daughter, most of all. But most importantly, spoiling his fabulous self too.

After a short beat Jeremy replied, “Let’s just hope they don’t buy the whole store.”

“Fingers crossed.” Mia added.

for context: Astrid, Bella & Joshua are 7-8 years old.

Liane was sewing at dress, in the living room when she accidentally stabbed herself with the needle. Without a second to think about the words coming out of month, she said it.

"Fuck.." She said under her breath, however it was loud in clear as she winced at the stinging sensation on her finger.

Suddenly the same words were echoed back to her.

"Fuck.."

She swirled her face towards the voice only to be met with one of her nephews, Joshua, holding a Transformer action figure and his curls in slight mess. Her eyes widen as he repeated the word twice, she didn't expect to even see him there.

Oh no, this isn't good.

Mia is gonna kill me... she thought.

It took her a moment to collect herself and not think at how cute, and honestly freaking funny the words sounded out of the boy's mouth, before speaking up.

"Uh, Josh, sweetie, honey, my little penguin..we don't say that word. That's um a bad word." She said gently with a smile.

Joshua furrowed his eyebrows, "But you said it..?"

"Y-ye-yeah well, auntie Lia can say cause she's an adult. And you're still a kid, just please don't say that word again. Okay?"

"But 'fuck' sounds like 'funky'? It does not sound like a adult word."

"Touché, it doesn't. But they aren't the same word, sweetie. Those are words adults can say when they get...uh, hurt! Y-yeah, hurt or mad, even annoyed or uh..what's another one? Ah! Frustrated."

"...oh. I guess, I get it..?"

"Good! Uh, great, sweetie! How about we get some granola bars?"

That made the kid smiled and nodded following her auntie to the kitchen. Liane gave herself a mental pat on the back for that one, hoping he'll forget about that word by dinner time.

However it didn't last long, because he heard the word repeated again by Rei that same day. So when Mia got home with Melissa from a meeting, Joshua came up to them excited to tell them about a new word he learned today.

Because Melissa always said learning new words can expand one's vocabulary.

But once the word left Joshua's mouth Melissa's eyes widen and gasped. Mia blinked in surprise, she wasn't expecting the words to escape his young brain.

But a small part of her, didn't know to find out who told him or smile gently as she explained to her son about the word. Then there was the other part of her who wanted to chuckled slightly, after seeing Melissa's reaction.

"Where did you learn that?!" Melissa exclaimed in shock, looking like she's questions her life choices.

Joshua shrugged smiling, "Aunt Lia and Uncle Rei..they didn't explain what the word means.."

Melissa had no words. She just scooped the boy up and walked towards Liane's room demanding an explanation. Meanwhile Mia just stood there as she shook her head, with her hands on her hips.

That's when she heard Nikolai's voice from the kitchen, "Did my sweet boy just curse?! Who decided rotten his brain?!"

Mia yelled in the direction of the kitchen, "Oh, now you say something?!"

Astrid was writing peacefully in the kitchen when she heard her uncle Ethan and papa, Cole, arguing about dinner plans.

"Oh that's child's play Ethan!"

"Says the one who doesn't cook!"

"No one is gonna eat chicken fingers and brown rice expect the children!"

"I think it would be a nice idea, until we can go grocery shopping tomorrow. Even if it's consider, children food."

"Then you're a child."

"Excuse me?!"

"You heard me."

Eventually the conversation became full of brotherly mess and insults just thrown around. Along with some swear words, in German.

"Hurensohn!"

"That doesn't work we don't have the same mother, arschloch."

"Yes, it does, stupid! Gods, how did I end up with you as a brother?"

"You should ask dad for that one..."

Cole followed his brother into the kitchen spotting his daughter as his expression soften and kissed for forehead. Ethan smiled at his niece as he started to clean up the table.

"Hello, darling. What you writing there?" Cole asked smiling.

Astrid looked up returning the smile, "Just a poem..what does arschloch and hurensohn..mean?"

Ethan stopped in his tracks and chuckled awkwardly, "Uh, well, sweetheart, they are words in German..swear words and well they mean..how do I put this lightly?"

Cole smirked and looked at Astrid as he said, "Hmm, hurensohn is basically saying 'son of whore'. Arschloch is the english equivalent for 'a*shole' in German."

Astrid nods in understanding, yet still a bit confused, as she calmly replied, "Oh..okay."

Meanwhile Ethan didn't look as pleased.

"Cole!" He exclaimed with widen eyes.

Cole looked at him innocently, "What? She hasn't to learn eventually..beside, he hangs out with dad."

"I-ugh! That's not the point."

"Jeremy is gonna kill you."

"Pff, oh please. What he doesn't know, won't kill him."

Ethan pinched the bridge of his nows having enough of this and then went to go get dinner ready. Cole shrugged sitting next to his daughter and grinned brightly

Just as Ethan was washing the pots and pans, he remember something. He returned to Astrid, "Uh sweetheart. Please don't say any of those words, in English or German, got it?"

Astrid quickly nodded not wanting to get in trouble. She then asked, just to make sure, "So no words like son of whore or a*shole?"

However just as she said the words, Jeremy walked in. The poor man blinked in utter disbelief, hearing his little princess saying those words. He didn't think he will have to hear those words said until she was at least 12 years old.

He turned to Cole with a stern look, that was mixture of shock and utter confusion.

"What did she just say?" Jeremy asked pointing his finger at the direction of their daughter.

Cole gulped and grinned sheepishly then exchanging a look with Ethan, who just returned back to washing the pans, then back to Astrid who bit her inner cheek.

"I uh, well...it's just some words to add to her vocabulary!" Cole replied trying to defend himself proudly, "...did I tell you how hot you look today? Cause you do, darling!"

Jeremy just crossed his arms and glared in his direction.

He was in trouble.

This last one, Mia didn't expect for anyone of the children to appear out of nowhere. Because last time she check, all of them were on the other side of The Tower doing god knows what.

So she believed that she was safe.

She was wrong.

Mia was organizing the living room, due to the mess that happened earlier that day between the guys of the house, as she decided to put on her playlist of songs consisted of Eminem, Rihanna, Beyoncé and a few other.

She was singing Love The Way You Lie first and then We Own it..

"I never feared death or dyin', I only fear never tryin'...I am whatever I am..Only God can judge me now." Mia sang to herself as the song ran into her eardrums.

She was feeling herself, dancing as she picking up books and legos off the floor. Can you blame her? She was listening to 7/11 and singing as she did. She was even Cee-Lo Green's Forget You.

However then things got a little tough...

"Ballin' bigger than LeBron...Bitch, give me your money.." Mia sang to herself as the song ran into her eardrums.

"I thought that the word 'bitch' was a bad word?" Said a small voice that appear out of nowhere. "...at least according to dad."

Suddenly she looked up from the coffee table, after picking up a scrap of paper balls, seeing two feet in black sneakers. Followed by a navy blue leggings and a stripped sweater, with a black t-shirt underneath.

It was none other than Bella.

Mia shoulders dropped and sighed not expecting her nearby. She gave her niece a soft smile.

"Bella, baby, w-what..how are have you been standing there?" She asked gently.

Bella shrugged with a light smug smile, "Long enough."

"Mhm, 'long enough'..what exactly from the from the song did you hear?"

"Just the word 'bitch'..? Why?"

"It's just, that word shouldn't have been said in the first place. It was my bad, I shouldn't have been listening to the song."

"But it's just a song? That does not sound too bad.."

"But the lyrics are, baby. Here's the deal, how about we forget about that song and do a different one?"

After a moment Bella slowly nodded and then crossed her arms thinking of something.

"What does that word mean?" She asked, helping her pick up the legos. "Mommy and dad did not tell me.."

Mia paused thinking about it, "Well it's a rather offensive thing, basically another phrases for a female dog."

"Uh, that doesn't make sense. I need another explanation, please..."

The older brunette hummed thinking about it, trying to remember how her mother told her once and then nods.

"Okay, I got it." Mia started softly, "In a simpler, way it's a slang word, that is used to call a woman or girl who is being unreasonable, controlling and or aggressive."

Bella nodded understanding that a lot more now. She replied, "Now that makes sense."

"But society has that as bad slang word because it's very harsh and just mean in general. Some people use the word to phrase something that's going on."

"..oh? Like 'this house is bitchin'?"

"I-yes. And please, baby, don't use that word again until your older."

Bella had a small look on consideration, before nodding with a soft smile. She knew what her aunt meant and resumed to helping her out. Mia returned the soft smile in slight relief.

Out of the 3 kiddos, Bella was the leader of the group. Even if she a little insane at time, she knew when to stop and when to keep the conversation rolling...more or less.

It was the week of Christmas, and all though, not a creature was stirring not even a—wait! You didn’t think this would be a simple cute story did ya? Nope, it was not. The week of Christmas was good for everybody, except for the kids. They were causing trouble and making decisions that ended up being in timeout, the same night as Christmas Eve, was just the same.

And it didn’t help that Cole decided to strike a ting of fear in them. He told them to clean up their act or they won’t be on Santa’s Good List, just like he wanted to once. Astrid asked does he just buy it? Cole smiled at his daughter and shook his head, telling the trio that you can’t buy being on list, if it were that easy, he would’ve done it already. He told the children goodnight and went off his merry way to join the other young adults in the kitchen downstairs.

However that sparked an idea…

“Guys, I know what we gotta do.” Said Bella with a grin, “We get on Santa’s list.”

“And how are we supposed to do that?” Asked Astrid raising an eyebrow.

“Better yet, how are we supposed to get the North Pole? Migrate?” Joshua added sarcastically, waving his hands like he was flying. 

Bella asked if they had a better idea as the two shook their hands in response.

With that, the children sneaked away and shipped themselves to The North Pole within less than a couple of hours, as the large box they were sitting in landed right jab in the back of Santa’s Workshop. As they exited the box, their jaws dropped in awe. The place was dazzling with shiny colors, sweets stuffed in bowls, music filled in the background with cheer and Elves of all sorts working together to make sure that things remained running smoothly.

To blend in, Astrid stole warm Christmas hats that appeared to be beanies, for the each of them. Bella protested but eventually gave into the idea as Joshua smiled putting it on as his eyes scanned the room.

“I’m surprised we did.” Bella murmured under her breath looking at the workshop, acting calmly.

“Yeah, great, we’re here.” Astrid replied softly, “But how do we find Santa’s list room? I cannot see anything from this rate of movement.”

Suddenly Joshua remarked, “Well, I can’t see anything with this giant map in the way.”

The two girls turned around to the direction he was headed and yelling, “A MAP?!”

After a brief moment of scanning the large map, the trio began running to the room that held the lists only to find it to be locked. Not even a few tricks to unlock it, broke down the door either. It was stuck!

They realized, find Santa, they find the key.

Once again, they went to the map for a quick search of the room—being Santa’s office—before racing right up stairs to get it. Due to their location and hopes of not getting caught in the process, they strategize a plan—mainly Bella did as Astrid smirked and Joshua rolled his eyes—to get the key. They stole a fishing rod and wire, crawling into the air duct and opened a vent that stood above Santa’s very office.

Astrid opened the vent, sliding open a ceiling square to reveal below them Santa Claus snoring profusely on the couch. She snickering at the sight and stayed in awe, they were watching the big man in his most precious moments. It was kinda funny yet very strange and sweet.

“Why do I have to do this?” Joshua whisper yells as he’s tied his waist to the thick wire and relentlessly pulled on the glove, “Why can’t it be Astrid?”

“Because both of your parents are spies, stupid. It’s in your DNA or something.” Bella snarked back in a whisper.

“So are Astrid’s!”

Astrid smirked as she cut in correcting him, “Technically only my daddy is, papa is not. Besides, I believe in you, Josh.”

Joshua grumbled under his breath and exhaled, before being dropped down the vent and into the room. Bella and Astrid’s hands almost slipped, trying to be quiet while gripping the fishing rod in place. Plus it was a bit windy inside the air ducts, anyone could feel a chill band loose their grip by accident.

As they lowered Joshua down quiet and carefully, the wind blew past them along with the sight of mice, resulting in Astrid to loose her grip on the fishing pole. The boy went rushing down and dropping across the room, sucking in a deep gasp—however Bella ushered the mouse away for Astrid can reel her grip back, just before Joshua can go splat against Santa’s chest.

The girls sighed in relief exchanging a look. Due to Santa sleeping with his mouth slightly open, the boy automatically assumed it was gonna reek like god knows what, but to his surprise it didn’t.

“Ooh, peppermint.” He said glancing up at the girls, “With just a hint of moca.”

“Quiet!” The girls whisper yelled.

They maneuvered the fishing rod around as Santa tossed and turned on the couch making a few muffled noises. Joshua went swinging around towards the desk, reaching key and almost getting his butt caught in the crossfire of the fireplace. Despite the sounds being made and witty comments, Santa was still snoring peacefully.

“Nothing can wake that guy..” Bella murmured.

“Agreed.” Astrid replied quietly. “He’s wearing a sleeping mask too, so he has no idea we’re here…”

But they spoke too soon, because the phone rang loudly. JJ Claus stood up yawning, still wearing the mask over his eyes and was quietly handed the phone by Joshua who was hiding on the front of the desk.

“Santa! Thank the faithful time gods your awake! Liz was asking for you!” Yelled the voice over the phone, being Petra.

“Mhm, I figured, is it that time already?” He asked into the phone yawning and sniffled the air, “Ooh! What are they making down in the kitchen? I smell chicken..”

“Now don’t dilly dally, you hear? Please kick it up a notch.”

“Yes, yes, I’ll be down there soon, darling.”

Joshua showed the key to the girls as they grinned, using the fishing line to knock Santa’s hat off on purpose, causing the man to drop down to grab it after hanging up the phone. Without a second glance, they reeled the boy back up into the vent and slammed the door shut behind them.

“Hmm?” Hummed Santa on the floor, lifting up his sleeping mask to glance up at the ceiling.

With that, the kids raced down the halls and the work shop to the room where the list were. However as they did, they kept accidentally hitting and bumping into the elves who were hard work of the toys being prepared for wrapping. Bella yelled Joshua not to drop the key as he skateboard down the room, meanwhile the girls rollerbladed.

Astrid’s eyes widen relaxing they were gonna hit something but before she could voice her concerns, they knocked into a giant stack of Jailbreak Bob boxed toys. The boxes that they were in went flying everywhere along with the Jailbreak Bob action figures. It was a very interesting sight to see. All the elves from Tony to Melissa gasped at the mess, toys from left and right ranging from dolls to stuffed animals to action figures were knocked over and outside of their boxes.

All they work was ripped apart in matter of minutes.

Bella winced at the notion, she knew that the elves could fix this problem, figuring that this wasn’t the first time something must’ve happened. She grabbed Joshua and Astrid racing out of the room, they were running out of time anyway, so she rushing them up the stairs.

However once they rushed upon the staircase, entering the hallway, they were met with Santa Claus himself—JJ Claus—standing in front of them. The three blinked looking ashamed and embarrassed, as they frowned slightly.

“Oh woahhh! Watch out guys.” He said in a warm and comforting tone as he what was in Bella’s hands now. “Oh hey, you found my key.”

“Uhh..” Bella grumbled as she relentlessly gripped the key as she tugged it away from the man.

JJ was able to tug the key out of her hand successfully and thanked them, saying how he had to check that list one more time. There was a sparkle in his eyes, as if he silently knew what was going on here but wasn’t going to voice it anytime soon. He just safely put the key in his pocket and patted his jacket pocket casually.

The trio gasped, but was soon cut off by an elf wearing navy blue pants and a matching golden hat with a blue collar shirt. She was bouncing frantically and her accent was clear as day.

“Santa! JJ! C-come quick!” She said looking up at him gasping for breath. “It’s a horrible thing, we’re off schedule! Christmas is ruined!”

JJ looked at her furrowing his eyebrows and replied, “Doll, calm down, where are the others?”

“Melissa is working on test results, Ji-Hoon is bringing a snow day to cities right now and well, you know how the rest are.”

“Okay, yeah that sounds about right. But how could it possibly be?”

“Remember the sleigh crash of ‘64?”

“That bad?”

“Worse!”

Santa’s eyes widen at the sight of all the toys tossed around and unboxed instead of in the large red sack, rushing down following Sadie to the center of the workshop where everyone else was. Joshua, Bella and Astrid watched immediately in embarrassment of the damage, they caused. They frowned as their shoulders dropped and leaned against the wall.

“Papa was right…we might not clean up our act..” Astrid mumbled.

“Mama will be worried sick, if she doesn’t find any of us by morning in bed..” Joshua murmured.

Bella was silent looking at her cousins as her brain went through the millions of scenarios that could happen to them next. She nodded, rubbing her eyes before an idea came as she said, “But we can clean up our mess..”

The two looked up exchanging looks before nodding firmly at the Latina’s idea. That can do! So it was settled, they teamed together with Santa and the elves to fix the problem. All the toys went back into their boxes and wrapped in beautiful wrapping paper. Stuffed animals were tied up with golden ribbon, sports themed presents were strapped into their correct packaging and so much more.

Everyone celebrated as it was over and things were ready to go.

The kids took that moment to say their farewells and head back home, walking down the hallway where they once came. A part of them were ready to go home and call it a night but suddenly door to The List Room was open behind them, thanks to a janitor elf who entered the room to clean up. The elf, Clay, noticed them stating they couldn’t be in the room, but they tricked him saying there was an emergency sporting goods. In which resulted in Clay to rush out with his broom leaving the door open behind him.

“Woah, Santa needs to hire better staff…” Joshua mumbled, following the girls to the control panel.

The control panel carried all the information of locations across the globe and said houses too, including theirs. It was rather impressive! Soon enough after clicking a few buttons and turning on a switch, the trio found themselves looking at the list of names their family. The list rolled out like a long scroll ranging from Jeremy’s name to even Rochelle’s name, but not exactly the kids.

Their names were not immediately available to the public eye. It was locked under the children section.

Joshua handed over a pen to have their names printed under their parents instead, in the good list. Bella was this close to writing down the names until Astrid stopped her, taking the pen to write down someone else’s name instead. The three talked among themselves and smiled.

By morning the kids were tucked in their beds and awaken to the sounds of their parents voices. Mia yelled for the kids to come downstairs to open presents, as Cole shouted how breakfast was being served as well.

The kids rushed downstairs to find plenty of presents underneath the tree as they smiled widely. But one single present caught their eye.

A medium box in front of the Christmas tree. It was wrapped up and decorated in sliver ribbon.

They smiled and ushered for Cole to open it. Liane and Ethan chuckled in disbelief at Bella’s insistence. Jeremy grinned as he looked at his husband and daughter with enthusiasm. Nikolai snorted repeatedly as Mia smiled at Joshua pushing the gift towards his uncle.

“Santa got you a present!” Joshua said smiling.

Astrid and Bella nodded aggressively as they smiled.

“For me?” Cole said in amusement, grinning mischievously, “Well, if you insist.”

The moment Cole opens ripped off the wrapping paper and opened the boxed, his eyes dazzled in disbelief. He broke into a bright smile lifting out the gift within. It was none other than a designed leather black jacket with his Hogwart’s house printed in sliver lining on back, inside was a daring olive green color and sliver edges. It had his signatures written on the tag as well.

It was comforting and custom made for him.

Cole was speechless for a moment, taking in the beauty of the jacket. Liane smiled mumbling how she could’ve made him a jacket like that, which earned her a soft glare.

“Thank you, darlings!” Cole said brightly, pulling the kids into a hug, “I absolutely love this!”

To say this Christmas was a gift of joy was an understatement….

It was the week of Christmas, and all though, not a creature was stirring not even a—wait! You didn’t think this would be a simple cute story did ya? Nope, it was not. The week of Christmas was good for everybody, except for the kids. They were causing trouble and making decisions that ended up being in timeout, the same night as Christmas Eve, was just the same.

And it didn’t help that Cole decided to strike a ting of fear in them. He told them to clean up their act or they won’t be on Santa’s Good List, just like he wanted to once. Astrid asked does he just buy it? Cole smiled at his daughter and shook his head, telling the trio that you can’t buy being on list, if it were that easy, he would’ve done it already. He told the children goodnight and went off his merry way to join the other young adults in the kitchen downstairs.

However that sparked an idea…

“Guys, I know what we gotta do.” Said Bella with a grin, “We get on Santa’s list.”

“And how are we supposed to do that?” Asked Astrid raising an eyebrow.

“Better yet, how are we supposed to get the North Pole? Migrate?” Joshua added sarcastically, waving his hands like he was flying. 

Bella asked if they had a better idea as the two shook their hands in response.

With that, the children sneaked away and shipped themselves to The North Pole within less than a couple of hours, as the large box they were sitting in landed right jab in the back of Santa’s Workshop. As they exited the box, their jaws dropped in awe. The place was dazzling with shiny colors, sweets stuffed in bowls, music filled in the background with cheer and Elves of all sorts working together to make sure that things remained running smoothly.

To blend in, Astrid stole warm Christmas hats that appeared to be beanies, for the each of them. Bella protested but eventually gave into the idea as Joshua smiled putting it on as his eyes scanned the room.

“I’m surprised we did.” Bella murmured under her breath looking at the workshop, acting calmly.

“Yeah, great, we’re here.” Astrid replied softly, “But how do we find Santa’s list room? I cannot see anything from this rate of movement.”

Suddenly Joshua remarked, “Well, I can’t see anything with this giant map in the way.”

The two girls turned around to the direction he was headed and yelling, “A MAP?!”

After a brief moment of scanning the large map, the trio began running to the room that held the lists only to find it to be locked. Not even a few tricks to unlock it, broke down the door either. It was stuck!

They realized, find Santa, they find the key.

Once again, they went to the map for a quick search of the room—being Santa’s office—before racing right up stairs to get it. Due to their location and hopes of not getting caught in the process, they strategize a plan—mainly Bella did as Astrid smirked and Joshua rolled his eyes—to get the key. They stole a fishing rod and wire, crawling into the air duct and opened a vent that stood above Santa’s very office.

Astrid opened the vent, sliding open a ceiling square to reveal below them Santa Claus snoring profusely on the couch. She snickering at the sight and stayed in awe, they were watching the big man in his most precious moments. It was kinda funny yet very strange and sweet.

“Why do I have to do this?” Joshua whisper yells as he’s tied his waist to the thick wire and relentlessly pulled on the glove, “Why can’t it be Astrid?”

“Because both of your parents are spies, stupid. It’s in your DNA or something.” Bella snarked back in a whisper.

“So are Astrid’s!”

Astrid smirked as she cut in correcting him, “Technically only my daddy is, papa is not. Besides, I believe in you, Josh.”

Joshua grumbled under his breath and exhaled, before being dropped down the vent and into the room. Bella and Astrid’s hands almost slipped, trying to be quiet while gripping the fishing rod in place. Plus it was a bit windy inside the air ducts, anyone could feel a chill band loose their grip by accident.

As they lowered Joshua down quiet and carefully, the wind blew past them along with the sight of mice, resulting in Astrid to loose her grip on the fishing pole. The boy went rushing down and dropping across the room, sucking in a deep gasp—however Bella ushered the mouse away for Astrid can reel her grip back, just before Joshua can go splat against Santa’s chest.

The girls sighed in relief exchanging a look. Due to Santa sleeping with his mouth slightly open, the boy automatically assumed it was gonna reek like god knows what, but to his surprise it didn’t.

“Ooh, peppermint.” He said glancing up at the girls, “With just a hint of moca.”

“Quiet!” The girls whisper yelled.

They maneuvered the fishing rod around as Santa tossed and turned on the couch making a few muffled noises. Joshua went swinging around towards the desk, reaching key and almost getting his butt caught in the crossfire of the fireplace. Despite the sounds being made and witty comments, Santa was still snoring peacefully.

“Nothing can wake that guy..” Bella murmured.

“Agreed.” Astrid replied quietly. “He’s wearing a sleeping mask too, so he has no idea we’re here…”

But they spoke too soon, because the phone rang loudly. JJ Claus stood up yawning, still wearing the mask over his eyes and was quietly handed the phone by Joshua who was hiding on the front of the desk.

“Santa! Thank the faithful time gods your awake! Liz was asking for you!” Yelled the voice over the phone, being Petra.

“Mhm, I figured, is it that time already?” He asked into the phone yawning and sniffled the air, “Ooh! What are they making down in the kitchen? I smell chicken..”

“Now don’t dilly dally, you hear? Please kick it up a notch.”

“Yes, yes, I’ll be down there soon, darling.”

Joshua showed the key to the girls as they grinned, using the fishing line to knock Santa’s hat off on purpose, causing the man to drop down to grab it after hanging up the phone. Without a second glance, they reeled the boy back up into the vent and slammed the door shut behind them.

“Hmm?” Hummed Santa on the floor, lifting up his sleeping mask to glance up at the ceiling.

With that, the kids raced down the halls and the work shop to the room where the list were. However as they did, they kept accidentally hitting and bumping into the elves who were hard work of the toys being prepared for wrapping. Bella yelled Joshua not to drop the key as he skateboard down the room, meanwhile the girls rollerbladed.

Astrid’s eyes widen relaxing they were gonna hit something but before she could voice her concerns, they knocked into a giant stack of Jailbreak Bob boxed toys. The boxes that they were in went flying everywhere along with the Jailbreak Bob action figures. It was a very interesting sight to see. All the elves from Tony to Melissa gasped at the mess, toys from left and right ranging from dolls to stuffed animals to action figures were knocked over and outside of their boxes.

All they work was ripped apart in matter of minutes.

Bella winced at the notion, she knew that the elves could fix this problem, figuring that this wasn’t the first time something must’ve happened. She grabbed Joshua and Astrid racing out of the room, they were running out of time anyway, so she rushing them up the stairs.

However once they rushed upon the staircase, entering the hallway, they were met with Santa Claus himself—JJ Claus—standing in front of them. The three blinked looking ashamed and embarrassed, as they frowned slightly.

“Oh woahhh! Watch out guys.” He said in a warm and comforting tone as he what was in Bella’s hands now. “Oh hey, you found my key.”

“Uhh..” Bella grumbled as she relentlessly gripped the key as she tugged it away from the man.

JJ was able to tug the key out of her hand successfully and thanked them, saying how he had to check that list one more time.
