Lily Collins, Luke Mitchell, Sam Claflin

Lily Collins: OMG! Someone get @belamyblake because nobody and I mean nobody, will ever match the love I have for Abigail. Now first off Abigail fucking hated Emily, she constantly called her a crack whore. ANYWAYS. Gordon played the best villain who I still talk about all the time. This bitch was evil and great. We use to have the best diary entries from her too. Omg I love this character so much. I could literally talk about her and that stupid love for Jason for hours. I mean does anyone have time for me to tell them the story of Abby’s last battle? It was great! Ravenna’s shirt got ripped off and Abby is out here like Nice bra, TJ Maxx? I’m still screaming over that. RIP: Slaybigail you were a true queen. For real though this character was the MVP of the rp. 

Luke Mitchell: My girl Adry has always played Luke so I’ve always had a positive experience with him. He’s usually brooding, but generally amazing. Her character Lincoln was one of the best at MIO. I loved watching him with Cameron, they were flat out adorable. I rooted for them to last so much. Drea and Adry did an amazing job writing them. Adry also played another Luke in BTM named Aiden who is a fucking gem. Seriously someone snatch that man up because swoon. He’s a bodyguard, you’re out here hoping you get to be his Whitney cause damn!!!! Anyways I’m done with Luke now. 

Sam Clafflin: I don’t think I’ve ever played against one?

My Finale Speculations

Potential finale spoilers and definite 4x12 spoilers under the cut:

Okay so I’m thinking we will see the delinquents going into space, but the real question seems to be whether or not Bellarke will be facing this 5-year jump together or separately. 

And based on what I’m seeing, folks...well, it doesn’t look good for Clarke.

Based on the rattling and flickering of lights in this gif, I can only assume that this is the liftoff of the rocket. And look at Bellamy’s face. He looks absolutely devastated. Something has just destroyed him.

And what do we know about the finale so far? We know that the delinquents are on a ticking clock. 

Throughout all of 4b, we’ve been getting setup for Clarke to be able to survive the radiation after the Death Wave passes. She has the nightblood treatment, and 4x12 made it clear that just because it didn’t work in this episode, that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work it all. They took significant screen time to point out that Luna got sick at first before the nightblood healed her. Why else would they take so much time away from such a plot-heavy episode if it weren’t important?

The second thing that leads me to believe that Clarke is going to be separated from the group is the continual mention of the bunker on Becca’s island. We see it in 4x09 when Murphy and Emori are discussing the possibility of moving to the bunker if need be, then it’s brought up again in 4x12 to be used as a potential place to survive. But as soon as they reach Becca’s island and talk to Raven, that plan is abandoned.

Again, I ask: why is there so much screen time being dedicated to these topics if they’re not important or going to be relevant to the plot in the future?

This image is from @angelmonty‘s post speculating that this scene is after a 5 year time jump, and I think that’s exactly right. Clarke’s hair and jacket are totally different from what we’ve seen before. She’s not wearing a radiation suit, meaning the radiation levels in the air have to have diminished significantly, which definitely wouldn’t happen before the Death Wave.

@angelmonty believes this is a still showing Clarke watching the delinquents return to Earth, and dear god I hope that’s true. 

While I initially wasn’t thrilled about a 5-year separation of Bellarke, I have to say I don’t hate the idea. It’s definitely better than a 5-year jump with them together, 5 years of Bellarke we would completely miss out on. Look again at the gif of Bellamy above. That’s not the face of a man who lost someone he only moderately cared about. If that expression is any indication, 5 years will not be nearly enough time for for Bellamy Blake to forget about Clarke Griffin, and you can bet your ass the same is true vice versa. 

With that said, I think the upcoming separation is enough to indicate that we are going to see a significant Bellarke moment during the season finale. The writers will want to create some sort of incentive for us to wait through a hiatus, but they also want to really create that tension and drama only to tragically draw it out for 5 years. At least, as a writer, that’s what I would do.
