RP Starter: Introductions
The old Exo awakens from her stasis only to be greeted by some strange, blue, humanoid being. Her old memory banks appear to have been whiped yet again. What a bother. However, the Exoâs consciousness still felt compelled to follow her last order and protocol given from her previous master. To serve the one who would awaken her from her stasis in service to the Light. Therefore, as a response to being awoken, Belah-96 steps forward to this new humanoid.
âStatement: Belah-96 is ready to serve master.â The feminine Exo stated quite mechanically. âQuery: Is there someone you need killed master? I have not been active for a very long time. It would be unlike you to activate my systems without asking my to fulfill my primary assassination protocols upon some Darkness infested creature.â
âWhat the hell? Belah, was it?â The person in front of her asked. âWhy are you talking like that? You sound like an old protocal Frame.â
âQuery: What do you mean, master? I speak as programmed.â Belah responded. âClarification: And my designation is Belah-96. Do not mistake me for those human names. I am not a person.â
The Awoken sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. âBelah-96 then... Why are you calling me âmaster?â I donât own you. Exo kind now follows its own path. You should have the consciousness of any regular Exo.â
â Obvious Statement: I am an assassin Exo, master. My programming was very specific to eradicate any Darkness creatures that are a threat to the Traveler and those it protects. Thus, I call those master who awaken me to fulfill me programming of assassination.â Belah-96 replied.
âBut that would be slavery. We arenât backwards here. You donât need to call me master.â The Awoken male replied, attempting to reason with the Exo. He sighs seeming to get nowhere with this as the Exo blankly stared at him. âYou said you were an Assassin Exo?â
âAnswer: Indeed, I am most eager to engage in some unadulterated violence. At your command of course, Master.â Belah responded with what appeared to be a smile.
âYou are a very strange Exo, Belah... 96.â The Awoken said. âSo... outside of being an Exo, with a very sadistic sounding function, what class of Guardian are you?â
âObvious Statement: Judging by my cloak and lack of Warlock space magic, I am more than likely a Huntress. However, my creators made a mistake I believe. I wanted to be a Titan. I wished that my chassis would have better armor than this current Wolf Pelt Weave Zed armor I wear. It is quite bothersome when hit with an Acolyteâs Hive Shredder.â Belah noted with a small sigh.
âAre you being sassy with me? Well, it appears you arenât completely machine.â The Awoken said seeing her personality slowly emerge.
âAnnoyed Statement: Master... Please understand. I am a machine. A literal killing machine. I will destroy our Dark enemies for one purpose, and that purpose is because I was programmed to. Not since the days Rezyl Azzir has my protocols been altered.â Belah replied.
âRezyl Azzir? The Titan?â The Awoken asked in a bit of shock. âHe lived in the days of the Faction Wars.â
âExplanation: And I was there. I was built not long after the Faction Wars began. I am an old Exo, but my Stasis keeps me in fair condition. So I am here and there across the timeline. So after the Wars were over, I was put back in stasis. And each time I gained a new master with every awakening. And thus, you are a new master for waking me up from my current stasis.â Belah replied.
âSo... people wake you, when they need you. Well... seeing as you insist on calling me master, which I despise, I would like to give you an order then.â The Awoken replied.
âRelieved Statement: Finally, master. The moment I have been waiting for.â Belah said with an exasperated voice.
The Awoken pinches the bridge of his nose again. âJust go find Cayde-6. Heâs the Hunter Vanguard. I want you to be in service to the Vanguard. Train to be a real Guardian. Follow their orders and fulfill Xander 99:40âČs bounty contracts. You have Light in you. I know it. We just have to get you to experience more... personality. Get you in the world. Experience life and make decisions of your own. Do you understand?â
âAnnoyed Query: You want me to act like a...normal person?â Belah begrudgingly said.
âYes.â The Awoken simply said and rested his arms crossed on his chest. âAre you going to question the authority you have apparently given me? You did say I am your master.â
âMusing: Oh, very well, master. As you command. I am just a simple machine that you believe is a living, breathing, and redeemable human with squishy organs within my chassis. I would never question such a ridiculous order from my clearly superior and blue shaded master.â Belah mocked and placed a hand on her hip.
âWell... Thatâs a start. Just get a move on. I donât want to stand here and carry on a needless conversation with an Exo that thinks its nothing more than a Frame.â The Awoken replied.
âCorrection: I am not a Frame, master. I am--â Belah began to say then was immediately cut off.
âI am not in the mood. Go. The Darkness might as well walk right in with your actions being as such. Protect this City and do as I said.â The Awoken ordered.
âStatement: Understood... Master.â Belah replied and walked off to begin her journey as a Hunter for the Last City on Earth. Whether or not she would become more personal is yet to be seen.
Would there be anyone out there to possibly convince her that she isnât all metal and bolts? That the Light in her gives her consciousness beyond that of her protocols?
