Heyyo! Very small nitpick about the rarepair tournament that you're free to ignore but I thought maybe you might not be familiar with the source material so a correction might not be entirely unwanted.

So you list og AlCale as "original cale henituse x original alver/alberu crossman" and I just wanted to let you know that there is no "original alberu". Original Cale Henituse is totally appropriate because he is a character who's body was transmigrated into but Alberu had no such body-swap. Therefore "original" is informing the reader that you mean the character pre-transmigration. As an example that you might be more familiar with "orginal cale henituse" would equal Mo Xuanyu and "(krs)cale henituse" would equal Wei Wuxian. The TCF fandom can be a bit complicated to understand because unlike in MDZS where WWX strongly maintains his own name, Kim Rok Soo (the person who takes og cale's body) takes on Cale's name and barely refers to himself by his real name. So "original" is strictly so that the fans can understand that you are not referring to KRS when you say the name Cale Henituse.

Since Alberu Crossman is never possessed, it's really weird to see 'original' next to his name like that. It's possible that you're strictly referring to pre-regression Alberu and if so, it would be more appropriate to say "TBOAH Alberu" but I wouldn't recommend that. From what I can tell, the people who ship og AlCale tend to ship OG Cale with Alberu both pre and post regression and it's a bit pointless to define "tboah Alberu" and "tcf Alberu" as a different person because he just isn't, he's just the same person at different stages in his life (think if someone were to define Lan Wangji as a different person pre and post WWX death, it'd be weird right?). Og Cale is 100% a different person than krs!Cale (krs being the person who transmigrated into his body) but Alberu is just Alberu.

Anyway I just thought I'd correct it because it makes it sound to casual viewer as though Alberu was also possessed at one point and someone is wearing his body like a meat-suit like with Cale and that just didn't happen lol.

(also you're free to use alver / alberu interchangeably, it's the same name just translated differently but fair warning that if you're on twt they'll get mad at you for using "alberu" so it's safer to use alver on that site. alver is the official translation and alberu is the fan translation)

*Transmigration is being used as a catch-all term for reincarnation, regression, etc.

I actually read a good portion of the manhwa a few years(?) ago (the novel’s on my to-read list after ORV & SCTIR, so I’ll get to it in 10 years if I’m quick) & they’ll never convince me that man’s name is Alver. This is my jungkook. I accepted Lout of the Count’s Family as the official title because a carrd guilt-tripped me into it, but Twitter will never take Alberu from me. Yu Ryeo Han could come to me & say his name is Alver, and I won’t believe it. Which is all besides the point lol

Anyway, you were right about both wordings being submitted - Og!Cale/Og!Alberu & Original Cale Henituse x Alver Crossman. I’ll change it to be more neutral since I agree the difference between TBOAH Alberu and LCF Alberu isn’t as important for a poll, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen “original” as inherently meaning a character’s been transmigrated*? I’ve only really seen it used to differentiate characters from the “original” world & the characters from the main story. 

For example, in The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System, Shen Qingqiu transmigrated into the novel Proud Immortal Demon Way, where Luo Binghe becomes the Emperor of the world. This Luo Binghe (Bingge) is often referred to as “original Luo Binghe” & is narratively a different character from the current Luo Binghe (Bing-mei). The situation might be a bit different in LCF (I’ve heard the transmigration situation is hella fucky), but characters being the same person is not always the same as them being the same character, especially if they’ve dramatically changed in some way (see: ORV). Environment & experiences change ppl and all that. 

It’s actually pretty interesting seeing transmigration* described in linear terms (“pre and post regression,” comparing it to WWX’s death, “different stages of his life”) because my experience with almost every transmigration* story is that they’re two or more separate worlds/timelines. I think Alberu grows and changes as a character throughout the story (which admittedly I haven’t read a large percentage of), experiencing things he never did within TBOAH, and the distinction between characters of separate timelines is often used for characterization within fandom, not in the technical sense of a character. Transmigration* often has the main character befriending and changing characters, especially villains, and “original” best describes the difference imo

I guess it could confuse people not familiar with the genre, but honestly, I think it’s just easier to explain in case they do go on to read more isekai/transmigration/reincarnation stories. I think “the Alberu from the timeline where the main character didn’t transmigrate (the Birth of a Hero novel) is sometimes called TBOAH or original Alberu to differentiate from our Alberu” is fairly simple? Idk I got very distracted writing this

I'm glad you're still excited for the prequel. My hopes were based around "reviewing what we know per SPN canon" and Robbie Thompson and your comic, but the trailer is making me think, "Oh, Jensen was serious about being Crazy instead of a straight line." I’m putting trust in the writing team to be competent and aware that they’ve put themselves into a corner intentionally, and will be working to write their way out of it. And I don’t except the writing team to come at the story the same way I would- but I could be surprised! I’m hoping for a self aware tragedy with a Scooby-Doo filter that gradually gets broken down into weird horror that nothing is real, plus Angel Stuff, but I’m willing to ride where the narrative takes me. The worse crime it could be for me is boring. And I hope it won’t be boring! I’m hoping for a fun time that will ping my brain the same way that Supernatural does, and lead me down weird thread pulling rabbit holes.

I also hope I get invested in the new characters! John included! I want to see how they pull this off! I’m here for whatever the fuck they’re doing with Dean, obviously, but he’ll likely just be a framing device depending on episode order. But yeah! I hope it’s fucking weird and corny and tragic and romantic!

Yo, I had the wildest dream ever.

 The same day Jack was born, a cambion was born into the world. But since that other kid wasn’t Lucifer’s Kid™, no one cared about them. And instead of Crowley going with the Winchesters he went on his own because... yes, no one was giving attention to this creature that a few years ago demons and angels fought over with the other cambion Jesse Turner. So it was particulary weird no demon whatsoever was taking with them this other child.

 So, the events at the lake house do still happen just that the portal closes on it’s own the second Jack is born. Cas is dead, Mary and Lucifer on Bizarro World but Crowley is still alive

When Sam, Dean and Jack arrive to the Bunker, Crowley is there with this cambion who also looks the same age as Jack and according to the demon, was born exactly at the same time as the nephilim. The cambion is very close to Crowley, who she (as their vessel appears to be female) considers to be their father because it was the only person to come after them once they were born. Crowley named them Beel (As in Beelzebub)

So Beel and Jack kind of get along pretty well, they start off as friends and even to consider themselves siblings, after all they were in kind of the same condition of being born a few days ago. Their relationship starts great but eventually, things slowly change for the worst as Jack is the one everyone cares about and try to prevent from going dark side and not to mention that the nephilim is extremely more powerful than the cambion but even if Jack got more attention from everyone, Beel is the one that got to be closer and even on a better light on Dean’s eyes compared to Jack, causing accidentally the same situation of “John Winchester and his boys”

 Eventually, Crowley gets killed and Castiel comes back to life, to which, Beel considers it unfair that Jack gets Cas back just for wanting it and Beel couldn’t despite praying and praying since the first day, and eventually leaves the bunker with the promise of becoming the new King of Hell. (Dean accidentally slips a “Isn’t it Queen?” and Beel corrects him by choking him a bit before leaving)

We don’t actually have many incidents in Bizarro World, eventually Jack gets people out, Lucifer and Gabriel actually die there and Michael has to use his own grace in order to go to this world. Due to this events and because Rowena is involved, Beel returns just to guarantee their grandmother is safe (And we learn that while Asmodeus was busy on Earth, Beel took Hell from the core and not only increased the deals but as a cambion and Crowley’s “spawn” imposed real fear on the demons, earning their Title)

A lot of events do change and instead of having a Alt!Michael arc, we have a going dark side Jack arc (Not my mind trying to please AlCal), sadly here is where I don’t remember anything else because I woke up but now that I’m thinking about it at the end it feels like instead of Sam and Dean representing a kind of twisted parallel of Chuck and Amara, we have Jack and Beel (Which also, Beels refers to them as the oldest sibling, while Jack is the youngest. Not because of power or who is more mature, it was stated in a dumb way on the early days of their friendship when they compared themselves to Sam and Dean, saying that Jack was more of a Sam for reading lore and the puppy eyes, and Beel more of a Dean for liking greasy food and being good in physical combat)

i'm not that big of an alcal stan, i just like his character and if this does turn out to be true i'd be severely disappointed because he genuinely seemed like a nice part of the cast. i'm all for believing victims and have unfollowed him but the whole thing seems sus.

i did some digging and searched for tweets mentioning "keliykline" since they'd gone private, and j**** did tweet her a few times from what i could see. there's also someone else mentioning both j**** and keliykline in a tweet about making a gc.

to me it's not them being fan accounts that's the most shady- because i guess i can make sense of them meeting @ cons and forming a friendship and stuff. and the two accounts who tweeted DO seem familiar to me, like i've seen them on my timeline before (perhaps not the one with deleted tweets, i mean from their old suspended account). i have mutuals and mutuals of mutuals who have interacted with those accounts as well. to me it's shady that they're both 18 and seem to just be allowed to tweet this...? i'm not sure how old j is but she can't be too far from al** who's 30, right? it's weird to me that she would be "friends" with some teenagers she met at cons AND tell them something so personal like this AND give them permission to talk about it in public..? i'm barely 23 and talking to anyone under 19 about anything already feels kind of weird to me.

IDK. I really am neutral here until more information gets out. the whole thing is way too shady for me to take sides, i hope there's some clarity soon.

believing the victim first is good but like. is there a victim coming forward with her story or is it someone throwing shade on an ex? it's suspicious to just throw an accusation like that and then not follow through.

AHH ok so like i haven’t talked too much about either of these recently so i’m gonna leave two things i’ve been thinking about a Lot

jo verse and ellen. like obviously dean and ellen have this mutual understanding and they get along well and they just immediately clicked with this like. again Understanding of their roles in their respective child’s life. ofc this also causes inherent bonding w jo and sam as well (esp w those college posts that were going around the other day). but imagining ellen and sam like. jo and dean are so Similar yk? she sees both her daughter and herself in dean but sam is so Different. dean latches onto ellen as a mother figure in this verse but he Remembers his mother, and sam doesnt so when ellen starts being that surrogate mother figure (the same way bobby does with being a father figure to the three of them) sam has this conflict of leaning in and accepting it the way that dean and jo are already in it- and just completely rejecting it since he hasn’t had a mother his whole life and doesn’t think he needs one. but dean learning he’s his own person beyond his obligations (esp to sam after what was drilled into him by j*hn) and he starts to back off maybe sam thinks more about what position dean held in his life and starts to get ellen more. either way!! ellen interactions w her three kids i love it here

better dabbnatural!!! i never talk about this one omg but like. just in general jack and claire interactions. jack and claire both have a weird attachment with both dean and cas and they can bond over that!!! i think about the sad stuff like them both having to grow up too fast and having to live with the pain of their original parentage just being a constant weight on their shoulders. but also since in better dabbnatural, jack does his rapid aging spread out over the course of s13, im thinking about claire as a main character in s13 being 8 yr old kid jack’s babysitter and showing him cartoons while also teaching him how to wield a sword with the plastic light sabers dean bought him. i’m thinking about teen jack and claire taking inspiration from watching ferris bueller and having an entire episode where they fuck off and skip town and just do fun things before their dads come home. i’m thinking about claire lamenting losing her “baby brother” when he reaches alcal levels. all of this is insane to me i think about it so MUCH
