Cheating Prank Gone Wrong - Colby Brock
A/N: Please be kind! This is my second attempt at writing fanfic for this fandom! Feel free to let me know how I did!
Colby Brock, your boyfriend of two years, was your kryptonite. From his disarming, charming smile to his bright blue eyes that gazed at you adoringly, you were hooked from the first time you laid eyes on him. You loved him with every fiber of your being, and he loved you just as much. His friends immediately approved of you dating Colby. You were the perfect match for him, with your quick witted sense of humor, dishing out pranks just as much as you fell victim to them, never once complaining that they went too far, to the way you comforted him when comments got too mean, holding him so tightly so he wouldn’t crumble. You were especially close to Sam’s girlfriend, Kat. She was your ideal friend; funny, bubbly, and had a heart of gold. Between her and Colby, you knew that there was no possible way that you could get hurt. So you were unprepared for what you walked into one day.
Colby and Kat pulled the covers over their fully-clothed bodies, snickering the whole time. “How do you think she’s gonna react?” Colby asked, turning to face Kat. Kat shrugged, fingering the comforter nervously. “Hopefully she doesn’t punch me in the face.” Kat replied, glancing at the door, which was shut. Colby shook his head, his dimples popping up as he grinned. “Nah, she’s not one for violence, Kat.” He reassured your best friend. He gestured towards the camera. “She’ll probably be pissed, but she’ll see the humor in it.”
You strode through the front door of the Trap House. Corey grinned at you, waving as he shoveled food in his mouth. “Hey, Core.” You greeted him. “Is Colby in his room?” You asked, hefting your bag higher onto your shoulder. You and Colby planned to have a sleepover, with a movie marathon and binging on junk food. Corey nodded in response, continuing to eat. You giggled softly at the sight of his chipmunk cheeks, then headed upstairs.
As you reached for the doorknob, you heard hushed voices from the other side of the door. You froze, dread filling the pit of your stomach. However, you didn’t want to assume anything. When you heard a moan, then a breathy giggle, your mind clouded over with rage. You threw open the door and to your horror, Colby and Katrina were snuggled up in his bed, the covers pulled tightly over their bodies. You couldn’t help the gasp that ripped from your throat, your bag dropping to the ground. Colby lifted his head, his bright blue eyes meeting yours at the sudden sound. Kat lifted her head as well, her eyes widening as she took you in, standing at the door with a rapidly paling face.
Colby reached out to you. “Babe, I can explain…” He started. You shook your head, placing a hand over your mouth as tears began streaming down your cheeks. You felt like you were going to throw up. Your hands shook as you pressed them over your mouth. “Don’t ever talk to me again, either of you.” You snapped, turning on your heel and racing down the stairs. Colby swore softly, throwing the blankets off of him, and raced after you. Kat followed close behind, making sure to grab the camera as proof, if you didn’t believe them.
You ran down the drive way, your hands shaking violently as you fumbled to unlock your car door. A warm hand enclosed over yours, and you jerked away. Instead of Colby, it was Sam, staring down at you, concern written all over his face. “Hey,” He soothed, his hand rubbing down your back in calming circles. “What happened?” You began to blubber, trying through your tears to explain what you had seen. Suddenly, another warm hand grabbed your shoulder. You whirled around, coming face to face with Colby.
His face softened at the sight of your tears, reaching up to wipe them away. You smacked his hands away from you, fumbling to unlock your car once more. Another pair of hands snatched your keys out of your hand, and you lifted your head to come face to face with Kat. “Give me my keys back, right now.” You demanded through gritted teeth. She shook her head resolutely, her blue hair swishing over her tanned shoulders. “Not before we say one thing…” She giggled softly. You wanted to smack the smile off of her pretty face. The pain in your heart coursed through your whole body. You just barely refrained from doing so, your hands curling into fists. Colby wrapped an arm around your waist, tugging you closer. “It was a prank, babe. I swear, we’ll show you the footage if you don’t believe me.” His voice was a soft murmur. He looked just unhappy as you were.
Colby hated seeing you cry, and he hated being the reason for your tears even more. He thought the prank would be funny at first, but his resolve crumbled the second the tears built up in your eyes. You went rigid in his arms, your knees buckling. He held you up, his arm secure around your waist. You felt the pain in your heart throb once more, before slowly fading away. “A… prank?” You breathed. Your head spun with this new piece of information, making you feel lightheaded. You slowly sank to your knees, Colby following you the whole way down. Kat kneeled in front of you, taking one of your hands and squeezing it tightly. Her expression was one of both sympathy and empathy. “You’re my best friend,” She stated. “I would never do that to you. I couldn’t ever do that to you.”
You let out a sob of relief, reaching forward to bury yourself into her arms. To be honest, it hurt more when you thought Kat willingly got into the bed with Colby. Friendship was something you cherished, which was another thing Colby loved about you. Kat stroked your hair gently, as Colby sat beside you, rubbing your back soothingly. A few minutes later, your tears were under control, and you were back in Colby’s arms. His arms were wrapped tightly around you, his head resting on the top of yours. “I love you so much,” He whispered in your ear. “I couldn’t ever do that to you. I never want to lose you, babe. It would kill me.”
You hummed in acknowledgement. He helped you to your feet as you, Kat, Sam, and Colby headed back into the house. His hand found yours instantly, intertwining your fingers together. He pulled you back as Kat and Sam opened the door. He glanced at Sam, having a silent conversation just between the two of them. Sam gave a slight nod, then ushered Kat into the house, closing the door behind him. You gave Colby an inquisitive look, tilting your head slightly. Colby smiled at that. You looked like a curious little puppy when you did that.
He tilted your chin up so you met his eyes. Then, he leaned in, pressing his lips against yours softly. You leaned into him, into the kiss as your eyes fluttered shut. The remaining tension in your body slowly drained away as Colby wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you even closer. Unfortunately, breathing was a major concern for the both of you. Reluctantly, you pulled away, cupping Colby’s cheek in your hand. His beautiful blue eyes brightened, and you couldn’t help the wide smile that spread over your face in response. Colby smiled at you, intertwining your fingers once more as his free hand gripped the door handle of the Trap House. He glanced back at you once more, his smile lighting up his whole face.
“Still love me?”
“Always.”
