Here in Germany we got a 45 minute long chronological Dokumentation on how Trump failed his Covid19 response... It was just published yesterday by one of our tax funded newsstations and pretty good. Does the "average" American even realize how royally Trump fucked up? Atm I think us germans are pretty worried about you

I’m not sure why I’m being asked about this but long story short, yes.

I know that everyone in other countries likes to shit on us, and I know that the United States has screwed every other country over in just about every way possible, and I’m truly sorry for our shitty “we’re better than you” attitude that a lot of us have carried, and I’m sorry for how we’ve meddled in everything we could get our hands on, and I’m especially sorry for our goddamn awful inhumane military industrial complex.

But I am really, really, really tired of everyone acting like we’re unaware and ignorant of how bad our government has fucked us up, and fucked you up, and fucked everyone else up. WE’RE AWARE, PEOPLE. WE DO, IN FACT, GET IT, OKAY?

THE AVERAGE AMERICAN WAS PISSED AT TRUMP BEFORE THIS WHOLE MESS CAME OUT, ALL RIGHT? YEAH, I GET IT, GLAD YOU’RE ALL WORRIED ABOUT US, YOU’VE BEEN WORRIED ABOUT US SINCE 2016 AND POSSIBLY EVEN BEFORE THAT AND YOU DESERVE TO BE.

I am so fucking exhausted with being told by people from other countries how fucked up my country is and how we’ve been screwed over. I’M AWARE OF THIS. FOR FUCK’S SAKE. We’re very much aware of this!

I appreciate your concern, nonny, and I know that you are probably just want to help and want to understand what’s going on over here and want to know how we’re doing. I’m just. So. Fucking. Tired.

If everyone could please stop treating us like we don’t know how screwed we are, that would be great. It’s like I’m living in a house with an abusive parent and everyone keeps telling me they’re abusive. No, really? The black eye I was given wasn’t a clue to me, but no, now that you, you kind stranger, have informed me that getting punched by my parent is a bad thing, I see the light!

The reason Trump got elected was because of the screwed electoral college system that gave a minority vote of white (and generally rich) people more power than the majority of the American people. Did you know most people in the South, an area of America often derided for being backwards and ignorant and racist, are actually people of color? You wouldn’t, of course, because most of the people in charge are white and they like to keep a certain image.

Voter suppression, for example of Black people in Florida (where family of mine lived at the time of the 2016 election and kept me informed) is another factor. Yes, there were idiots who didn’t vote, or who voted third party, and most of those people as far as I know of given my research seem to have been white. And don’t kid around and pretend it’s just one man doing all of this! He has an entire political party made up of rich white men interested in doing whatever the hell it takes to keep that wealth and their power and control the rest of us.

A mostly straight, mostly rich, mostly white minority got us Trump, and because of how the system’s skewed, it was easy for them. TRUMP ACTUALLY LOST THE POPULAR VOTE. AKA THE PEOPLE DID NOT WANT TRUMP. THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE, A SYSTEM SPECIFICALLY CREATED TO BENEFIT SLAVE OWNERS AND KEEP POWER IN THE HANDS OF THE RICH WHITE MINORITY, ELECTED TRUMP, OKAY!?

The virus is only the biggest, latest thing in which Trump has failed us.

So yes, nonny. The average American is really fucking aware of what’s going on, and we hate it. We might be a country notorious for thinking we’re the shit and we’re better than everyone else but our heads aren’t quite that far up our asses, okay? Thanks.
