HOME PT. 1 | ZUKO
HOME MASTERLIST
SUMMARY: In which Zuko has a chance to go home.
WORD COUNT: 2.9k
WARNINGS: blood, weapons, fights, death threats
A/N: we love zuko in this house, also send stuff into my ask box im bored and need ideas to write kashdkfkjasdhlf
When Zuko was banished, it seemed that Ozai was more upset that Y/N intended to go with him, than at the pain he had caused his son. She was a talented firebender, capable of defeating even Azula, his prodigal daughter, in an Agni Kai. Her tactics and strategies, despite her young age, proved effective time and time again. She had the makings of a great General for the Fire Nation Army, and Ozai saw it as a waste for her to search for someone who would likely never be found. Not when Y/N L/N had so much potential.
Y/N just saw it as proof that Ozai never truly cared for his son. His recognition of the impossible task he had bestowed upon his own child.
At the end of the day, her loyalty lied with the prince, so she set sail alongside him and his Uncle, in search of an avatar that had been gone for a century. They had known each other since they were children, when Ozai had taken interest in her natural talent for firebending. She had been raised alongside Zuko and Azula, training with them. But as most knew, Azula had an affinity for inflicting pain to those around her in her free time, so when the time came for a sparring match between Y/N and Azula, the results were deadly.
Ozai decided Y/N would stick around a little longer when she managed to beat Azula that day.
Zuko had never been competitive, not like Azula was. Though he’d asked her for tips on how to improve, and she’d graciously assisted him. And so, a friendship blossomed in the fire of their youth. She became his sparring partner, and as they grew older, his right hand.
She never regretted stepping onto the boat with Zuko the first day of his banishment. But she was beginning to regret ever speaking with him in the first place. He had no goal other than finding the Avatar, it was his sole purpose at this point, even after nearly three years of searching. But there were moments in which she found him rather… peaceful. He was almost the same boy who Y/N had played tag with as a child all those years ago. And in these moments, when she caught a glimpse of the real Zuko, she couldn’t help the warmth that blossomed in her chest each time they had an actual conversation.
One that wasn’t about his never ending quest to find the Avatar.
The conversations they had in the middle of the night, when sleep failed to reach them. The ones they never mentioned when the night was over. Because what happened in Zukos’ room at night, stayed there.
Y/N had only ever needed to knock once and Zuko was opening the door to his room on the ship. She gave him a tight lipped smile as she slipped inside, hoping no one noticed because they both knew what it would look like from an outside perspective. Not that she cared what others thought. What happened between her and Zuko was their business, though nothing ever really happened. He would try to make tea, they would dump the tea because of how bad it tasted, Y/N would remake the tea, and then they would talk.
Sometimes she wished it was more than that though.
It was a foolish dream to have, she recognized that as she took the teapot before he could even make an attempt to boil the water. “You couldn’t sleep either?” She asked as she began to heat the water with her firebending, holding the pot above her free hand.
Zuko scoffed, sitting back on the mat he referred to as a bed, “no, I just knew you’d be awake.”
Y/N frowned, “you should’ve gone to bed.” She places the tea leaves into the steaming pot, moving to sit with her legs crossed, across from him on the floor.
“And put the entire ship at risk?” Came his response, his brow raised.
Y/N laughed lightly, “what are you talking about?” Her head tilts as she looks at him in confusion, grabbing the two solitary teacups on his desk.
“Last time you were left unattended you nearly blew up our only means of transportation.” He deadpanned.
She rolled her eyes, looking to him as she spoke, “that was one time-”
Zuko was smiling now, “remember the time you nearly killed that man with a cabbage cart because he-”
“Okay! I get it, you can stop now.” Y/N exclaimed, cheeks warming as she recalled the event. She handed him his cup of tea, and for a moment she could even forget that the only reason that they were on the ship in the first place was to find the Avatar, for a moment she could forget that Zuko had changed
His hand grazed hers as he took the cup, mumbling a small, “thank you,” before he took a sip. Looking out the small window of the ship, he realized he would never forget his banishment. His home. He quickly brought his attention back to Y/N, only to realize she was already looking at him.
She brought herself closer to him on the floor, “what are you thinking about?” She recognized the look on his face, the nostalgia, the pain.
If he was honest, he was now thinking about the small amount of space between them since she’d moved to be seated beside him on the mat. Though he responded, “home.”
Y/N hummed in response, taking a sip of her tea, “you miss it?” She asked.
Zuko scoffed, “that’s a dumb question. Of course I miss it. Why wouldn’t I?” Y/N was tempted to tell him that he shouldn’t miss the home that cast him aside for thinking of the best interest of the people. The home that was ruled by the man who scarred him for life. The man he still seeked validation from.
Instead she shrugged, placing her tea onto the floor of his room, “well I don’t.”
His head snaps up, eyes meeting hers, he looks to her incredulously, “what do you mean you don’t? We’ve been away for so long!” He exclaims, his temper beginning to show. It was rare for him to explode at her like he tended to with other crew members, Iroh had pointed it out to him, and though Zuko shut him down quickly, nobody could deny the accuracy of the statement. But they had grown up there, together. All of his happy memories, all of his dreams, his past and hopefully his future, were all there. Had that all meant nothing to her?
“The Fire Nation was never my home, Prince Zuko.”
He almost flinches when she uses his title. And she quickly changes the subject, though she can feel it lingering in his mind as they have their tea.
She ended up falling asleep in his cabin after they talked for the rest of the night, awakening in the room she internally groaned, knowing what it would look like when she set foot outside of his room. Being on this ship for so long, she knew her fellow crewmates were looking for some gossip to spice up their lives a bit. Looking around, Y/N realized he wasn’t there. She brought a hand up to rub her temple she sighed when she sat up, deciding she’d go back to her room and get dressed before heading up to the deck.
They’d been coasting around Earth Kingdom waters that recently been put in Fire Nation control, and as she entered the deck of the ship, Y/N realized they had docked on one of the piers. The sea of people around the market made her wonder what the area could have to offer as she turned to look back on the deck, where Iroh had been seated with his Pai Sho board, along with several other crew members loitering in the area. “Good morning Iroh,” she said with a smile as she made her way towards him, “do you happen to know what we’ll be doing today?”
He smiled up at her, gesturing for her to take a seat as he responded, “well Prince Zuko was not very pleasant this morning, so perhaps something more violent.” He took the teapot on his side, “you should probably go look for him before my nephew does something unwise.” Iroh explained with a sigh, refilling his cup.
Y/N gave him a tight lipped smile, suddenly grateful she hadn’t gotten comfortable and taken a seat when he’d offered it, “of course. He likely intends to do something irrational and stupid.” She cracked her knuckles, aggressively securing her dagger at her side as annoyance bubbled up inside her, “I’ll see you later Iroh.”
She decided that if thugs hadn’t attacked him yet, she would, stepping off the ship and into the crowd. She slipped between the people with ease, making her way to some of the stands, shopkeepers yelling out deals as they tried to sell some of their products.
And then Y/N got distracted. It started out with a new dagger for her growing collection, then a new holster for said dagger which was now strapped to her leg along with the weapon. Would you look at that, with all this new stuff she was getting she’d definitely need a bag to carry it. Right? Right. Then it was some rare tea leaves for Iroh and new cookbook for the chef that lived on the ship, though it only served as a reminder that she was yet to eat.
Making her way towards the part of the market that specialized in foods, the aroma filled her nose. Holding the strap of the bag tighter as she maneuvered through the busy market as she’d spotted a stand with a variety of foods. Y/N inhaled deeply, taking in the sweet smell as she reached the stand before picking out what she wanted to purchase. In the corner of her eye she saw cabbages and couldn’t help the smile that found its way onto her face. Bringing out her small pouch of money, she went to hand the shopkeeper some coins, but the old woman shook her head.
“The young man over there paid for your things already Miss.” She explained, “scary guy. Just shoved this bag of money at me and told me to keep the change while you were on the other end of the stand shopping.” Though she ended up pointing in the direction of this elusive ‘young man,’ Y/N already knew who it was as she turned around and saw Zuko brooding against a wall in one of the emptier parts of the market.
She sighed, “thank you ma’am. Have a nice day.”
The old woman nodded, and Y/N put the foods into her bag as well, grateful for the variety of pockets within it as she made her way to where Zuko stood. “She had cabbages. I’m shocked you didn’t attack her.”
Y/N rolled her eyes, “where have you been all morning?” She pulled two of the bite-sized pastries she’d bought from the old woman, handing one to Zuko that he begrudgingly accepted as they began to walk down the empty street before taking a bite out of her pastry.
“Around.” Came Zuko’s response as he ate the small pastry. “I just wanted to browse the marketplace.” Y/N took another bite of her pastry as she listened, fighting the urge to roll her eyes.
She scoffed, “Zuko, I swear.” They were entering a plaza, with a fountain in the center, “it’s my job to know where you are. I’m here to make sure you don’t die during your search for the Avatar, because I’m your right hand, remember?” She exclaimed, hoping he hadn’t noticed that she got side tracked in her search for him,
“You were my right hand. At home. Not that it was your home.” He corrected her pointedly. It was quickly becoming clear that her statement had bothered him, and he wasn’t going to let this go.
She looked at him incredulously, throwing what was left of her pastry at his chest, causing him to roll his eyes and throw what was left of his own at her face, though she dodged it. Y/N raised her brows, taken aback by this statement and action. He continued to walk as she stopped, dead in her tracks, “oh, is that what this is about? Because if you wanna talk about that we can-” A deep exhale escaped her, followed by silence.
Zuko’s brows furrowed, “what? Don’t wanna finish the sentence?” He asked as he turned around, only to find that she had a knife pressed to neck, and was surrounded by a group of men.
Of course it had been thugs.
One of them reached to the pouch on her side, yanking it from its place on her belt while the other looked up to Zuko, “you’re going to give us your money, or your little girlfriend is gonna die.” He threatened, pressing the knife harder onto her neck, drawing blood.
Inhaling sharply, Y/N managed to let a bitter laugh escape her despite the situation, “in case you didn’t notice, we had just been arguing. I doubt he has a problem with my death at this point.”
Zuko glared at her, “could you shut up for one minute?” He exclaimed.
“Oh, I think I’m about to be shut up permanently but okay Zuko.” She replied, a sarcastic smile on her face as he narrowed his eyes at her.
He quickly returned his attention to the thugs, who had exchanged looks due to the strangeness of the exchange they were witnessing. “Here’s what’s actually going to happen. You are going to let her go, and if you don’t, you’re going to die.”
The man with a knife against her throat laughed, “and how are you gonna manage that?” He asked, his four companions moving forward to form a circle around Zuko, weapons in hand. “We’ve got the upper hand.”
“Well, I’m not going to kill you. My little girlfriend will. And,” Zuko paused, eyeing the men surrounding him as he cracked his neck, “you don’t have the upper hand. Not while I have Y/N.”
The man was about to speak when a dagger suddenly pierced his leg, causing him to yelp in pain, dropping the knife he’d held into Y/N’s free hand. She threw the blade in Zuko’s direction and he caught it with ease as he dodged one of the men that lunged at him.
Y/N kicked her captor’s injured leg, causing him to fall to the ground and allowing her to slip her bag off of her shoulder, wrapping the strap around his neck as she rammed the hilt of the dagger onto his head, effectively knocking him unconscious. Turning around to assist Zuko, she had a deadly realization.
One of the men was missing.
Everything happened rather quickly after that, she extended her hand, preparing to begin firebending at the man that was attempting to sneak up behind Zuko, except no fire came out. Instead, a whip of water extended from the fountain, slamming him into a nearby building.
The other three men exchanged looks, stopping their movements momentarily, then taking a few steps back before breaking into a sprint in the opposite direction.
Y/N was still staring at her hand in shock, though her eyes soon rose to find Zuko staring at her as well, the look in his eyes unreadable. A shaky breath escaped her, “guess that conclude your search.” She swallowed nervously, squeezing her eyes shut as she continued, “you can go back home now.”
“We should get back to the ship.” Came his response. “You need medical attention.” Moving towards her, she took a step back.
“Zuko-”
“You aren’t the Avatar, Y/N.” He stated firmly.
“Really?” She exclaimed, disbelief clear in her voice, “because it sure does look like I am. No one else is capable of bending more than one element!” She pointed out.
Zuko shook his head, “the Avatar is an Airbender. You were born and raised in the Fire Nation.” He rationalized. “It’s not possible for you to be the Avatar, even if the Airbender is dead, the next Avatar would be from one of the Water Tribes.” Zuko opened his mouth to continue speaking but Y/N cut him off.
“Zuko.” Her voice came out as a whisper. “What are you doing?”
In that moment he is silent, and she wonders if he’s reconsidering his choice. In actuality, a million thoughts are running through his mind, maybe he could fake her death? Tell them that she died in this town, let her live out her life in peace while he continued a false search for the Avatar. Maybe this was a fluke, or there was a Waterbender hiding in the shadows that saved their lives. Or maybe he was in denial.
The only thing he was sure about was that Y/N wasn’t going back to the Fire Nation a prisoner.
“Protecting the only home I have left.”
Because sometimes home isn’t a place. It’s a person.
You can imagine their shock when they discovered the last Airbender.
a/n: are there two avatars? maybe. is the reader a dual bender? maybe. will we ever find out? idk

famedkrp idol headcanon meme — no longer accepting
Send ○ for a training headcanon. (wc: 238)
Training was the worst part in her trainee life and it’s now what keeps her motivated after debuting which is quite amusing. During the two years she was a trainee, Sooah fell behind in every practice to be honest. She wasn’t the best singer, not the best dancer, not that good at rapping. Some could say she was decent as an instrument player because she learns quickly but that’s not what idols are trained for.
Probably the hardest moments of her life all happened in a practice room. There she would doubt herself and her capabilities, her place as a trainee and if she should quit altogether because at that point, she was pretty much the laughing stock, the underdog who had nothing special and that took a toll on her mental health (thankfully, she managed to make some friends there somehow and it did help her at the time).
Nowadays, she has a different perspective about training. Since debuting in Fuse and seeing people’s responses, she just didn’t really want to be the kid in Fuse who just messed up with their dynamic. Because of that, Sooah tried to deconstruct her previous idea of training and build it around the fact that she doesn’t want to embarrass her group mates, so she’ll use those moments to learn and to become better. It doesn’t feel like a task but as a promise that she can actually do better.
Send ♫ for a performance headcanon. (wc: 258)
Performing is fun, no question. Despite not being someone people will think of when it comes to performing, Sooah still adores going up to the stage. She used to hate it though, a lot, when she first debuted during ‘Ice Cream Cake’ era because everything was so new and she still had the negative feedback from people online which didn’t help her with her confidence at all and performing in front of people was a very scary thing for her for a while during the time.
Now, mind you, she’s more about the feeling of being on stage than actually delivering a good performance. Sooah still has problems to work on when it comes to stage presence and even performance in general. She’s good enough if they have to stay put and sing a ballad for example but in more elaborate songs, it’s easy to miss her among the members and the other dancers sometimes too. She doesn’t have that spark that makes her stand out yet, she doesn’t have the right pitch in her voice to be someone people will recognize at first listen and there’s no way she’s someone who people will praise for having good coordination. She may be less scared of standing on the stage, which is always good, she doesn’t need to feed this irrational fear, but there’s a very long way for her to go when it comes to being a good performer, after all, there’s a difference between enjoying the feeling to be up there and actually doing a good job.
Send ☀ for a variety headcanon. (wc: 212)
Sooah is fairly decent in variety shows despite her shy nature. She’s not the first option but she’s not atrocious at it and she does a good job at getting some good laughs from the hosts at times. Maybe because she grew up surrounded by boys, she knows her way around the way the jokes are made and because she’s the youngest at home, she learnt the hard way that she had to have quick responses when the situation called for it, otherwise she would be blamed for things she haven’t done or would be left out from silly polls to find out what she should eat before dinner time. It only means that she has a quick and witty replies at times that seem to please the other parts involved. Other than that, Sooah also offers over the top reactions to the comments that are made and especially if there’s someone performing for them during the shooting. She’s pretty decent at coming up with subjects and showing interest during other people’s parts which makes her look considerate and respectful and she’s easy enough to deal during the whole time they are on the set. basically, she’s pretty much your average idol who attends variety shows, does a decent job and leaves.
Send ❂ for a voice-related (singing or rapping) headcanon. (wc: 203)
Sooah is obviously not the strongest vocalist in Fuse, given the amount of lines she’s given it’s quite clear that’s the instance from the company, but she thinks it’s only fair because she, indeed, is not very skilled when it comes to singing too. She has very good stability but Sooah has a very weak projection which can make her voice fade or become quite pitchy and flat at times. She has a comfortable tone but at times while singing, she can sound a bit stuffed or nasally which clearly isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but she did get better in the last few years since debuting. She’s not perfect, of course, there’s a lot of room for improvement and she’s no one to give up on trying to get better.
When it comes to rapping, it’s almost the same as her singing. She seems to rely on the cutesier, slightly higher pitched voice. Most of the times, she sounds a bit nasally again while rapping, is just the way she learnt rapping during trainee years and she never had a lot of time to practice it to make herself sound better at the time and after debut, she settled for that style.
Send ✈ for an airport fashion headcanon. (wc: 225)
Sooah’s usual style doesn’t differ much from her airport outfits. She has a more romantic take to her looks and that doesn’t change much when she has to travel, but she does make herself look more casual or chic when she has to. She wears a lot of blacks and whites when she has to be photographed and it’s unusual for her to play with colors especially because depending on the weather condition she could either do a great job or screw things that’s why she takes the safe bet and wears more strategic pieces of clothing.
Because she’s already tall, she prefers to use sneakers or shoes with low heels because besides being comfortable, she can also guarantee a younger, sophisticated but somehow casual look. When the weather is on her side, Sooah likes wearing short shorts and skirts despite not being the most comfortable while traveling, she does look good when she uses them.
Sooah does care for her airport fashion and she tries to do a good job. The night before her appearances, she spends quite some while looking in her wardrobe, trying to fit her clothes into a concept because she knows there’ll be photographers and fans (after all, Fuse is no small deal) and she wants to impress them with her looks, because she’s almost an expert in doing so.
Send ∞ for a future (post-idol life) headcanon. (wc: 223)
Sooah doesn’t see herself leaving Seoul despite not really matching her quiet nature. She likes living in the capital despite the hurriedness and chaotic nature of it, and her whole family lives in the big city as well, she can’t possibly see herself leaving them behind to move somewhere else. And she also thinks that if everything goes well and her plans to continue her career as a producer/songwriter/composer work out well, maybe staying in Seoul is the best option for her.
She wants to get married. In her head, they’ll have a nice weeding in a traditional venue in South Korea, have a quick ceremony and maybe, a few months down in the road or a couple of years of married life (she doesn’t have it all that planned out), they’ll say their vows again in the meadows in Jeju, they won’t be wearing stuffy and hot clothes, it’s going to just be nice and simple and only for the two of them. They will have two kids because Sooah thinks they would get lonely otherwise and they’ll have a nice apartment.
She won’t stop working because of the kids or their house, but when she figures out that it’s the right time, she’ll retire and start living a quiet and peaceful life, feeding her kids’ friends and traveling around the world.

Natural Progression Of Alcohol Dependence
This explains the symptoms of each stage along with exploring treatment options. Early or Adaptive Stage Middle Stage Late Stage Dealing with Alcoholism and Addiction Relapse to drinking or making use of drugs 1-- The Adaptive or early Stage of Alcoholism and Addiction The early or adaptive phase of alcohol addiction and addiction is marked by increasing tolerance to alcohol and physical adaptations in the body which are largely unseen. This enhanced tolerance is marked by the alcoholic's or addict's capability to consume higher quantities of alcohol or drugs while appearing to suffer few effects and remaining to function. This tolerance is not produced just since the alcoholic or addict beverages or abuses too much however rather since the alcoholic or addict is able to drink great quantities because of physical modifications going on inside his or her body. The early stage is hard to identify. By appearances, a person may have the ability to drink or use a great deal without becoming drunked, having hangovers, or suffering other apparent ill-effects from alcohol or drugs. An early stage alcoholic or addict is typically identical from a non-alcoholic or addict who happens to be a fairly heavy drinker or drug user. In the office, there is most likely to be little or no obvious impact on the alcoholic's or addict's performance or conduct at work. At this phase, the alcoholic or drug abuser is not likely to see any issue with his or her drinking or drug use and would discount any efforts to suggest that he or she might have an issue. Notions On Alcohol Drinking In Our Daily Lives or addict is merely not familiar with what is going on in his or her body. 2-- The Middle Stage of Alcoholism and Addiction There is no clear line in between the early and middle phases of alcohol addiction and dependency, but there are a number of attributes that mark a new phase of the disease. Many of the satisfactions and benefits that the alcoholic or addict acquired from drinking or utilizing drugs during the early stage are now being replaced by the devastating aspects of alcohol or substance abuse. The drinking or drug use that was done for the function of getting high is now being changed by drinking or drug using to fight the discomfort and suffering dued to previous drinking or drug use. One basic quality of the middle phase is physical dependence. In the early stage, the alcoholic's or addict's tolerance to higher quantities of alcohol or drugs is enhancing. Along with this, nevertheless, the body ends up being used to these quantities of alcohol and drugs and now struggles with withdrawal when the alcohol or drug is not present. Another basic quality of the middle stage is craving. Addicts and alcoholics develop a very effective need to consume or utilize drugs which they are eventually unable to control. As the alcoholic's or addict's tolerance increases in addition to the physical reliance, the alcoholic or addict loses his or her capability to control drinking or substance abuse and craves alcohol or drugs. The alcoholic or addict merely loses his or her ability to limit his or her drinking or drug utilize to socially acceptable times, patterns, and places. The alcoholic or addict can not deal with as much alcohol or drugs as they once could without getting drunk, yet needs enhancing quantities to prevent withdrawal. Thoughts On Drinking Alcohol In Our Daily Lives of middle stage alcoholics or addicts is blackouts. Contrary to what you may presume, the alcoholic or addict does not actually pass out throughout these episodes. Instead, the alcoholic or addict continues to work but is unable to remember exactly what he or she has actually done or has actually been. Generally, the alcoholic or addict simply cannot bear in mind these episodes because the brain has either stored these memories incorrectly or has actually not kept them at all. Blackouts may likewise happen in early stage alcoholics and addicts. Problems ends up being evident in the workplace during the middle phase. Alcohol Consumption and Your Health or addict battles with loss of control, withdrawal symptoms, and yearnings. This will certainly become apparent at work in terms of any or all of the following: enhanced and unpredictable absences, poorly performed work assignments, behavior problems with co-workers, inability to focus, mishaps, enhanced use of authorized leave, and possible deterioration in overall appearance and demeanor. This is the point where the alcoholic or addicted worker may be facing disciplinary action. 3-- The Late Stage of Alcoholism and dependency The late, or deteriorative phase, is very well recognized as the point at which the damage to the body from the harmful impacts of alcohol or drugs is evident, and the alcoholic or addict is suffering from a host of conditions. An alcoholic or addict in the last stages may be destitute, extremely ill, mentally confused, and drinking or use drugs virtually continuously. Most Used Treatments for Alcohol Addiction? or addict in this phase is suffering from numerous physical and psychological problems due to the damage to vital organs. Why does an alcoholic or addict remain to consume or use drugs in spite of the recognized realities about the disease and the obvious unfavorable consequences of continued drinking and substance abuse? The answer to this concern is quite easy. In the early stage, the alcoholic or addict does rule out him or herself sick due to the fact that his/her tolerance is enhancing. In the center phase, the alcoholic or addict is unknowingly physically dependent on alcohol or drugs. She or he simply discovers that remaining to use alcohol or drugs will avoid the problems of withdrawal. By the time an alcoholic or addict remains in the late phase, she or he is often irrational, deluded, and not able to understand exactly what has actually occurred. An alcoholic or drug addict will certainly reject that he or she has a problem. If an alcoholic or drug addict did not reject the existence of an issue, he or she would most likely seek help when faced with the frustrating issues triggered by drinking or abusing drugs. 4-- Treating Alcoholism and Addiction An alcoholic or drug addict will seldom stop consuming or making use of drugs and continue to be sober without expert help. A spouse might threaten divorce, or the alcoholic or drug addict might be apprehended for driving under the impact. One Can Quit Anytime in the Cycle There was at one time an extensive belief that alcoholics and addicts would not get help till they had "hit bottom." This theory has usually been rejected as many early and middle phase alcoholics and drug abuser have actually given up drinking or abusing drugs when confronted with effects such as the loss of a task, a divorce, or a convincing caution from a doctor concerning the potentially fatal consequences of ongoing drinking or drug use. Early Treatment There are obvious benefits to getting the alcoholic or druggie into treatment previously instead of later. One benefit is that, the earlier treatment is begun, the probability of having cheaper treatment, such as outpatient care, is enhanced. There is also a greater likelihood of success in treatment with an individual who has not yet lost everything and still has a supportive environment to go back to, consisting of an intact household, good health, and a job. In addition, the employer has a stake in the early treatment of alcohol addiction and addiction, given that the worker will have a greater opportunity of returning quicker to full operating on the job if the illness is arrested at an earlier point. Early treatment is simply less disruptive and can help the alcoholic prevent further misbehavior and bad performance. There may have been permanent damage done if an alcoholic or drug addict doesn't get assist until extremely late in the illness. Natural Progression Of Alcohol Addiction for Treatment The alcoholic or drug user does not at first need to want to get assist to go into treatment. Many individuals enter into treatment because of some sort of risk such as loss of a job, divorce or possible incarceration. Nevertheless, even the person that is required will ultimately have to personally allow the need for treatment for it to be efficient. Companies are an extremely powerful force in getting the alcoholic into treatment. The threat of the loss of a task is commonly the push the alcoholic have to go into treatment. Some alcoholics and drug addicts do stop drinking on their own, this is unusual. Many alcoholics and drug addicts require some type of expert treatment or assistance. 5-- Relapse A aggravating and essential facet of dealing with alcoholism and dependency is relapse or a go back to drinking or using drugs and is common. An alcoholic or druggie frequently regressions due to a variety of aspects consisting of: • Inadequate treatment or follow-up • Cravings for alcohol and drugs that are difficult to manage • Failure by the alcoholic or addict to follow treatment directions • Failure to alter way of life • Use of other state of mind changing drugs • Other untreated mental or physical health problems Regressions are not always a return to consistent drinking or drug use and may only be a onetime occurrence. Regressions have to be dealt with and seen as a sign to the alcoholic or drug addict that there are areas of his or her treatment and recovery that need work.

Stages Of Alcohol Dependence
This explains the symptoms of each stage in addition to checking out treatment choices. Another feature of middle phase alcoholics or addicts is blackouts. Phases Of Alcoholism to exactly what you may presume, the alcoholic or addict does not actually pass out during these episodes. Instead, the alcoholic or addict continues to work but is unable to remember exactly what she or he has done or has actually been. Blackouts may likewise take place in early stage alcoholics and addicts. The alcoholic or addict battles with loss of control, withdrawal symptoms, and yearnings. This is the point where the alcoholic or addicted employee may be facing disciplinary action. 3-- The Late Stage of Alcoholism and addiction The late, or deteriorative phase, is very well recognized as the point at which the damage to the body from the harmful effects of alcohol or drugs appears, and the alcoholic or addict is struggling with a host of conditions.

For example, a spouse might threaten divorce, or the alcoholic or druggie might be apprehended for driving under the influence. One Can Quit Anytime in the Cycle There was at one time a widespread belief that addicts and alcoholics would not get help till they had "hit bottom." This theory has usually been rejected as many early and middle phase alcoholics and druggie have stopped drinking or abusing drugs when confronted with consequences such as the loss of a task, a divorce, or a convincing warning from a physician relating to the possibly deadly repercussions of ongoing drinking or drug use. I apologize for the great wall of text underneath.
Aquarius INFJ here! Just a warning, my Aux Fe is pretty immature, but I’m working on that. I seem to get into a loop often though, so I’ll rely on Ti as my Aux function instead of Fe.
I’m low-key arrogant and confident of my own abilities. My friend says that I tend to show off the ones that I know I’m good at to get some sort of approval or praise, but I tend to be humble with the rest of them. I recognize my own potential as well as how capable I am. If I have to speak up, then that means nothing’s actually getting done; so if I feel that I have to, then I’ll take command of the situation and be quick to act when nobody else does. I can mold myself to any situation and adapt to it quickly. Despite my arrogance, I will acknowledge that I have my own shortcomings. When I see them– and I usually do if I realize it, or when someone points it out to me and calls me out on it– I try to figure out what they are to deal with them and turn them into strengths.
Most of the time, I’m irritated due to a lack of efficiency, mainly because of how practical I am despite being an idealist; however, I am very understanding, so I’ll be chill about it unless it’s like an issue that affects everyone else negatively if I’m in a group. If I’m the one causing the problem, I’ll be harsh and criticize myself. I’ve gotten better though, so I just go with the flow now unless I’m mad. It takes a lot for my anger to leak and to really get me mad though. When that happens, my words are sharp, I’m petty, and I don’t hold back my criticisms unless I sense a change.
Me sensing a change is pretty much just me trusting and allowing my intuition to guide me, it hasn’t been wrong and it’s guided me through depression and light anxiety spells. My intuition is why I went on a journey to read more about MBTI and the Enneagram to find out more about myself. I sensed that I had really unhealthy Fe, but didn’t really know how to put the problem into words so I could start facing it to fix it. (1w2 Enneagram here if you’re familiar with the enneagram). When I say something that I really believe in, if it’s backed by my intuition, and it’s to make a difference, my friends, as well as people who’ve seen me speak when debating, say that I’m a charismatic speaker. Kinda like Alibaba in a way. I also love making comparisons; they’re usually accurate 99% of the time, and about random things for the commentary I have going on in my head that I’ll suddenly say out loud.
At first glance, I appear to be warm and friendly. I’ll be somewhat shy when talking to new people, but I’m definitely no pushover. I know how to say no, and I mean no when I say it. I’m actively listening to the person I’m having a conversation with, but that’s just me trying to sort out if it’s possible to continue talking to someone. It sounds condescending, but I only have so much time I can utilize to be friends with someone, and that involves a lot of quality time, hanging out with each other basically. However, knowledge is power, so while I do determine if I can or want to continue talking with someone, I also gauge how much useful information that person holds. I do my best to remain as non-judgmental, tolerant, helpful, and caring as possible to help others so I can cancel out the manipulative, calculating, and ruthless side of me that I don’t quite like to acknowledge. I can easily place myself in other people’s shoes, but sometimes it’s because of this empathy that I choose not to sympathize so I can appear cold to others because I’m looking at the bigger picture. I appear strong externally, but I have some weaknesses that I try not to reveal to others. I train myself to really think about things to help balance out the strong emotions I feel so that I won’t be overwhelmed by them.
I tend to repress my negative emotions, which is why when I speak to someone, I don’t let much about myself leak out. You can’t tell much about me just from my conversations alone unless you’re really analyzing the conversation. If I let out a bit about myself, I generally get at least twice the amount of information I let out in return. I do this so that the other party feels comfortable enough to talk to me, and it usually gives us more to talk about. I normally try to be considerate of others and try to make them feel inclusive. Every once in a while though, I’ll let something slip by, most likely passive-aggressively when I’m tired, and when that happens the room goes silent. I’ll make an effort then to joke about something to defuse the tension in the room. I enjoy slipping in snide comments from time to time though, just to see people’s reactions.
My way of thinking is analytical, but it’s still difficult to explain my thoughts to other people. I’m somewhat forgetful, but I’m usually direct, blunt, and straightforward when stating my thoughts. If you give me a choice and I reject the choices, I’ll explain why I chose to do so logically if I feel that I need to do so. I enjoy analyzing in depth about many things, and I’m open minded to other people’s views, but I’ll still hold my own stance regarding my own views unless I see that my view isn’t viable in the society that I live in.
I’m daring and assertive, and I enjoy taking chances. I can be very competitive, stubborn, and I enjoy a good competition with someone. I can laugh at just about anything, dark humor, sarcasm, corny jokes, so long as the joke doesn’t become personal to anyone. My sense of humor is very dark, and cynical. Sarcasm is used sometimes as well, but only for comedic effect and it’s very blatant. I make extremely bad puns often, no shame; I take pride in my creativity.
I also take pride in my relationships with my friends. Generally the relationships that I have with my friends are there to last, even if I am constantly savaging my friends with random bits that come flying from nowhere. But underneath all my savage jabs at my friends, I genuinely care for the people I keep around me, and I’m always thinking about the best for them. I can be extremely sentimental, but if I needed to, I can toss my feelings aside to get a job done and be patient if I know it’s worth it. Generally that it has to be something beneficial to either myself, my friends, the community, or for humanity overall.
Attraction wise, intelligence is extremely attractive to me. I envision myself with someone who’s supportive as I am of them, and able to call me out if I’m being irrational just like how I’ll do the same for them. We’d both grow as individuals, being in a relationship with each other. I can see myself having long conversations with them when either of us want to rant, and in return I’ll be listening when they rant. If we aren’t speaking or don’t want to speak, we’d be comfortable just being near each other in silence. I won’t force them to change who they are, and I don’t expect them to either. If I feel that something’s upsetting them, then I can wait for them to open up to me when they feel comfortable enough to do so. I’m usually silent until I have something important to say/ask, or until someone talks to me anyways. When I’m in a relationship, I always do so with the intention of making it last. If it really doesn’t work out, then I’ll just move on, simple as that. The opposite of love is indifference after all.
In first place is Byakuran. I was thinking him the entire time through and seeing what you want in a person just cemented that idea more in my head.
Byakuran is incredibly intelligent, observant and analytical. There’s not much to fool him and as a result he likes it when people challenge him intellectually. He appreciates knowing that who he ultimately ends up with will be someone who can read him and see what he’s not saying, is perceptive of his different moods and is smart enough to survive being connected to him and the mafia.
Admittedly, he’ll start all relationships as casual things – preferring to keep his distance until he knows that this person is a good match. There’s a good chance you’ll start thinking about breaking the relationship off by the time he makes up his mind that yes, he’s in it for the long haul. However, once he decides that this relationship is worth pursuing, it will be incredibly obvious to everyone around him.
He definitely encourages the lowkey arrogance and confidence. You can’t afford to be second guessing yourself – not when you’ll be exposed to the people you will be by dating him. Show it off, after all the reason he’s in the relationship with you is because of your talents and abilities, him seeing it is just a reminder of what he loves about you.
The fact that you can recognize the flaws in yourself is something that he respects. Also, because he can be a bit of an asshole if you ask for an honest criticism of yourself that’s what you’ll get. He can also take it when you’ll give him a criticism – he may not be thrilled at first, but he recognizes the advantage in constantly growing and developing.
He likes that warm and friendly side, however, he won’t be fooled into thinking that you have no backbone. That’s definitely something he’ll recognize at first and be intrigued by. He’ll encourage it to grow and will probably encourage the manipulative/calculating/ruthless side – at the very least, he’ll make sure you understand how useful it is. Due to his position, you’re going to need a bit of that if you want to survive in the mafia. And anyone who’s involved with him is going to need to be dangerous in their own right.
You also share the little things in common that will make sure that things are smooth sailing between the two of you. You have the same sense of humor, both appreciate your friendships, have similar thinking styles and don’t expect the other person to change.
Runner Up: Reborn, like Byakuran, is someone who’s involved heavily in the darker side of the mafia. As a result, like Byakuran, he needs someone who’ll be able to survive that part. Someone who’s analytical, who has good instincts and can see to the heart of a situation or person. That’s important.
Blunt and straightforward, you may seem opposite of Reborn at first glance, but the two of you balance each other well. He might be sneaky/sly/subtle on the whole but you tend to be able to tell what he’s doing pretty quickly and figure out if you want to go along with it or not.
Definitely appreciates your practical side as someone who’ll be overwhelmed easily would not be a good fit at all. The fact that you’re pretty chill is also nice. He has to deal with stuck up mafia people all day, being able to get off work and just deal with something straightforward, something that’s not going to try and kill him if he’s a little too sarcastic is a very nice change for him.
