Yk I need more people to understand that you can dislike a media or fandom, hate it even, and still just not rip into other people for enjoying it. Nothing about doing that is productive. You piss yourself off, you piss them off, now everyone’s drained, and if you did have a reasonable valid point for not liking the media, no one’s hearing you out after a display of assholery.

#Walt talks #you can hate shit and not be a prick about it #I have a lot of strong opinions about a lot of media but I’m fully aware that being condescending to strangers on the internet #more importantly seeking them out individually JUST to be condescending #is counterproductive as all hell #and genuinely mean and pointless if my opinion happens to be about something otherwise harmless #and if my opinion is valid and genuinely the media seems harmful #slinging around curse words and insults does absolutely fucking nothing to help #I’m not saying don’t have an opinion #being a hater on your own clock is your own jig yk #but seeking people out to insult them over their fandom is odd. peculiar even
