have 3 suggestions from @beikonsims: @johnnysimmer's morgan v1, russell, and griffin v1 hairs converted from ts4 to ts2! these are more medium-poly than most clay hairs (between 6k-11k polys each), but they're so gorgeous that i just couldn't resist converting them to ts2 🧡

all are for teen-elder males and come in @antoninko's afterglow hair system. they're completely unanimated and assigned to the head bone. i've also included volatile bases for our beloved recolorists. i hope you and your sims enjoy these new hairs as much as my curious brothers enjoyed them!

Your sims are so well-written ❤️. Who are some of your favourite characters from other players’ games?

Aaah, Anon! I'm so sorry it took me forever to answer this, because it was so sweet and it's such a good ask and I wanted to give it a great answer and I forgot.

Short answer: all my mutuals' sims are adorable and I love them.

Long answer: So I literally kidnapped @pixeldolly's Fiona Merridew, and I'm obsessed with my deep-rooted horror of Larkin. I love @eulaliasims Gaius and Chiana and Theo, and Syx and Kaiden (beautiful tropical birb) and Carlos (perfect hair). @episims Hanna is one of my favorite sims of all time (I like robots) and Jonas has grown on me such slowly and so much (appropriate for a plant sim.) I would fight God herself for @dunne-ias's take on Nina Caliente if God and I weren't pals. I love how @nappe-plays-the-sims writes Candy Hart, and Lana's whole arc. (And Cyan Weiss). @vixsims's Brandi and Dina. @beikonsims's super cute roboticist, Arin Capp. Every weirdo in @mynameisquoi's game except Jack. Every chubby-cheeked toddler in @deedee-sims' Griffonmere. Dr. Gregory Occulus (thank for creating such a perfect being, @virtualpeople).The whole aesthetic vibe of every sim @simmer-until-tender makes. Especially the vampires. @mikexx2's fashion icons, Jillian and Daphne. @simnostalgia's absolutely iconic Xander Roth. And Mashugas! And Tiffany Burb! And Blaire, and-

@plumbbobtoggle Saeed and Rea and Adam (especially Rea.) I think all the sims in @katatty's Hollyhead are super well-created, especially Luna and Myrna and Clyde. (Also, every sim on Nekojima ;D.) @simhealing's found-family version of Natasha, John and Rick Contrary. @enkisstories' own version of Daniel and Gavin and all the extremely technical gameplay that goes with them. @bramblefinch's Helena Zhao (my fave blood-stained disaster.) And @softpine's Elaine <3 and Stevie, who have been rotating in my head a lot, lately, despite everything else that's going down in the Pines.

Actually, the first simblrs that come to mind are yours haha But to have it organized:

@melsie-sims -> TS4 Disney BaCC - one of the very few TS4 gameplays that I keep up with! I rarely follow TS4 simblrs, but yours got me hooked 🩷

@melsie-sims2 -> All your sims 2 hoods just grab all my attention. At one point I was trying to find a gameplay that had inspired me to create a hood that I used to play a while ago and when I found it I was like "of course it is Melsie's" haha (btw it was Cowplant Island)

@tainoodles -> Mystic Springs - I binge read all of it in like two nights, it's just awesome

@katatty -> Hollyhead - I'm still to finish reading, but I'm several pages deep and it's so fun 🥰

@beikonsims -> Uberhood 2.0 - I love how fleshed out they play the premades, and I am envious (in a good way) of how cute their game looks <3

@grilledcheese-aspiration -> Waverly Chronicles - I love Waverly, it's so cute-creepy and I wish I had the skills to build a whole town like that

@coriel-muroz -> Huntsville Revived - I wish I was as creative with storylines as Coriel! Each post gets me wanting to know what is going to happen next 🩷

i don't have the sims 2, but do you know anyplace to get references from it? like characters' outfits, houses etc.

there's nothing that i know for sure is akin to a comprehensive list or website but do not fret sweet anon, there's still hope.... here we go.....

for general things like decent-at-best house photos, busts (occasionally full-body photos, especially if you look at those whole household pics), front-facing portraits, storytelling photos, your best bet is the sims fandom wiki, even with it's absolutely fucking insane invasive mobile ads. and if you're on web get an adblocker TRUST ME. still a solid reference i use it all the time

for close-up face shots including ones for different ages, there's this sims 2 canalblog. it has all the bg and ep hood premades but it's sort of hard to navigate ‼️ and it's french ‼️; here's beau as an example. some photos deviate, some have the simmies smiling real hard, whatevs. this is one i use a bunch too

other good references are gameplay blogs on this very site. search the sim's tag, you'll likely find a plethora of in-game screenshots of them in their natural environment especially if we're talking a sim like vidcund, an absolute feast of references.

here's a couple gameplay-oriented blogs i know of that cover a wide spread of premades:

@jacethegaymer and @plumbogs use cc but stay rather faithful to the sims' og designs with some having no changes at all

@nervosims and @beikonsims both use what i'd say is a very large amount of cc, make pretty heavy changes to some sims' og looks, but are still quality refs imo

recommend more or your own blogs in the replies/reblogs if you wish. i don't personally know many but it would help greatly

other things you could use are cc/mod previews (obscure asf. many use premades in them, though they're never tagged i've noticed so good luck actively searching for these lmao); if you simply search on google there are often livejournal or dreamwidth pages with stories or pictures of the premades. going back to the houses part, you could always switch things up and reference rebuilds. @plumbtales has some drop dead gorgeous ones, and has pictures of separate rooms + you can find many others here. i find that these make more interesting backgrounds than the maxis builds

tbh halfway through i just began throwing out things that could be used as refs but ones i don't use myself. obviously the best choices are the game itself and google search -> images, but this was a fun little list to compile. perhaps i've made myself my own comprehensive list of possible premade references for when i'm too lazy to boot up my game that takes less than 2 minutes to fully load from clicking the .exe to entering a household!!

It's a set of TS1 pictures by DeeDee. It works with the base game "Bella Squared" picture and if you get any addons to it (like the frames linked by DeeDee, the poster set or this canvas set), it should work with them as well.

This always REALLY bothered me too. Like, just because you had a boyfriend in your teen years doesn't mean you're no longer Bi when you get to adult years.

Right? I just got really pissed off because of this, last week. Fortunately, this mod wasn’t insanely difficult to make, so I could do it myself :D

Tybalt Capp and Mercutio Monty by @beikonsims (my Simblr)

As much as I am not the fan of the hate-to-love relationships, these two are my favourite teenage couple from the Maxis premades. As soon as Hermia flies off into the sunset with Puck, these two tone down with their anger and realize, that those bolts between them aren’t necessarily a bad thing.

Can anyone guess the riddle? My guess is that she’s hinting at the Sims 2, as their plumbob is shown on promotional material with 6 facets...but the “6 new cards” might not have anything to do with that. (EDIT: She’s actually hinting at the original idea for the 6 aspirations TS2 was supposed to have...the 6th one being the unused “Power” aspiration. Thanks @beikonsims for the clarification!)

Mea Fortuna came with Makin Magic which was the last EP for Sims 1, so it would make sense that she’s hinting at new things to come...
