Repost: My photo never showed up last time! My name is Jessica, I'm a paralegal by day and a mental health advocate by night running Mindfulness Magpie ! I have suffered with mental health issues myself in the past and am determined to help others going through similar things. I set up Magpie last September, I was running in person classes in the local library but then with covid everything went still and I completely lost my ambition. A little context leading to this night where the picture was taken... — I knew Rutchelle, Haitian recording artist was performing in Boston. I wasn’t sure if I would make it, I had a long day ahead. Cuzzo @curlyboudoir introduced us a few months back in NYC and I thought what’s the harm in reaching out and offer to be of assistance to her. I direct messaged her in the midst of my work day, she remembered me and she was glad that I reached out. I have worked 10 hours by the time that I got out of work. We planned to meet after her reversals and I managed to squeeze in a work out to wheel some energy back into my body. I got dressed at the gym and joined her at her hotel. 16. The project you are most proud of: My consistent Pilates clients! Seeing them progressing, and all their hard work paying off is so rewarding as an instructor.  

17. An important source of inspiration: My 6am Spin and Barre clients, who voluntarily come to work their butts off 5 days a week at an ungodly hour. I salute you. 

18. Success is: Having bills on autopay, and being able to fund my coffee addiction and green juice habit. 

19. The question I haven’t asked, but should have:  What... is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow? ....Or, I guess a more normal question: How do you eat your oreos? (The answer is, dunked in milk, and I put the whole thing in my mouth because I have zero self control.)

20. Where are you going next? Bolivia this summer, because why not.
