I want language to describe constant demands for reconsideration of boundaries. Or constant demands for relitigation on things which you've set a clear policy about. Badgering doesn't feel quite specific enough. Ideally this language would neatly describe a behavior pattern where someone *seems* to forget that a boundary has been set and wants to relitigate it for 30 or 45 minutes at a time (in exhausting conversation), until they get what they want.
#also notice this is the kind of thing which could be solved by imposing a social bullshit tax#like 'we've discussed this but for $50 we can talk about it again. otherwise I have nothing to say to you'#behavior persists mostly because some social niceties neatly allow it to#--namely that large reactions to many minor infractions are frowned upon#there's sort of a smug refusal to acknowledge it that I'm certain violence could solve! but that's obviously a terrible solution#also I guess this is the sort of thing you don't really deal with if you create enough freedom of movement for yourself
