New Odia Book Balaram Dasanka Shreshtha Kabyakruti

Balarama Dasa (then again spelled Balaram Das was an Odia artist and litterateur. He was one of the 5 extraordinary artists in Odia writing, the Panchasakha during the Bhakti time of writing. He was the oldest of the Pancha sakha. He composed the Jagamohana Ramayana otherwise called Dandi Ramayana.

Not much is been aware of his initial life. From his own compositions it is realized that he was the child of Somanatha Mahapatra and Jamuna Debi. Somanatha was a clergyman of Gajapati Prataparudra Deva's court and initially had a place with the town of Erabanga in Puri locale. He was taught and was knowledgeable in Sanskrit. Balarama normally developed to be capable in the two Odia and Sanskrit. He turned into an enthusiast of Jagannatha. In his Medieval times he interacted with Sri Chaitanya. It is estimated that he kicked the bucket while on a journey to Puri in Begunia town close to Konark. There is a remembrance for him close to this town.

Dasa made an interpretation of the Ramayana to Odia. It is otherwise called Jagamohana Ramayana or Dandi Ramayana. In excess of an interpretation, the work is a transcreation, as it digresses in numerous ways from the first. In certain parts he conflicts with the first text and in certain parts follows the first text intently but in a few different parts he makes completely new stories.

Indeed, even in Odia Mahabharata by Sarala Dasa, the piece containing Bhagabata Gita was discarded by the creator. Goddess Gadmantri

Goddess Gadmantri (also known as Mantrigarh and Mantri) is located in Begunia tehsil and block of Khordha district in Gadmantri panchayat. It is located 45 km from the capital Bhubaneswar. Khordha tehsil is located in the east, Bolgarh in the west and Ranpur tehsil in the south. It is located on the border of Nayagarh district. The nearest railway station is Begunia. Edit history In 1621, Lalbeg or Ahmed Beg Khan attacked the temple. On the advice of the Gajapati, the devotees, with the help of the Pike, conquered the idol on the river bank to Andharigarh near Manikpatna. It is learned that Ahmed Beg Khan is heading to Andhra Pradesh. There was no time to move the idol. Eventually, after all the deliberations, the spirit of the idol was transferred. In Gadamantri, Purushottam Deva defeated the Lord and organized the transfiguration of the Lord. Suddenly there was a reshuffle. Gajapati died in 1622 after the Reformation. His son Gajapati Narasimha Deva arranged for all the worship services at Gadmantri until the riots in Shrikshetra ceased. According to history, the Lord lived there for three years. There are two major journeys of the Lord. One is a sandalwood ride and the other is a chariot ride. The day of Srigundicha was spent in a chariot from the place of the temple of the third deity conquered by the Lord to the temple of the Mahadev of Kapileswar on the east side of the fort. A temporary Gundicha temple was built to the south of the Kapileshwar temple. After traveling for 7 days, the Lord returned to his place. The village road, which came in the chariot of the Lord, is still known today. The temporary Gundicha temple was demolished due to a lack of rath yatra. But even today, the place is still known as Gundicha Pada. Gadamantri had 22 ponds and 23 bars. Twelve sentences have been changed to land and orchards, but only 11 today. Ten of the twenty-five ponds are in a state of disrepair. One of those sandals is still there today. Not far to the southeast of the pond is the Kurum Hills. To the east of the temple of Kapileshwar Mahadev is the Chandan Pond. According to ancient documents, the pond was sanded in 1622. The BJP idol of the Lord took part in the Chandanayatra. Kapileshwar Mahadev's Jagmohan was adorned with fine carvings. It is not possible to build an art deck today. This Mahadev was founded by the king of Ranpur. At that time, the Keshari dynasty was ruling in Odisha. Gadamantri was under Ranpur Gadjat at that time. The BJP idol is worshiped at the temple of Sri Tritiya Deva in this fort. Dolgobind, the idol of the Lord, is worshiped in the fort as Srigobindji in a special temple. To the south of the sandalwood pond is the elephant bath pond.

Begunia group of temples. This is a group of four Temples, out of which two consist of a simple cell each, surmounted by a tower-roof and there are traces of a mandapa in front. The towers are richly indented. The temples are the finest examples of their type. An inscription in one of the temples written in Proto-Bengali mentions the name of Raja Harish Chandra as the builder of the temples. Gangadhar Paikaraya

Oriya politician Gangadhar Paikrai (July 12, 1915 - August 31, 1999) was an Oriya politician. He was an official of the Communist Party of India. Gangadhar has served four terms as an MLA in the Odisha Legislative Assembly. In the 1951, 1961, 1967 and 1971 Assembly elections in Odisha, he was elected to the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Odisha Legislative Assembly constituencies from the Begunia constituency, respectively.

Birth, family and education-- Gangadhar Paikrai's father is Rajiv Paikrai and his wife is Champa Devi. His educational background was matric.

Political life-- He was arrested by the British government in connection with the Indian independence movement and imprisoned in 1936 at the Patna Camp Jail. After his release from prison, he resigned from the Congress and joined the Communist Party of India. He has served as MLA in the Odisha Legislative Assembly four times.

Death-- Gangadhar Paikrai died on August 31, 1999.
