I really hate the Hellaverse fandom for having this absurd idea that only gay/explicitly queer men can act feminine. I thought we left this mentality ages ago? So what if Alastor acts fruity? Doesn't immediately mean he only exclusively wants men. Funny how they love making this man the bottom b*tch when it comes to a lot of depictions of him in a gay ship (which is wildly out of character for a control freak misandrist by the way) not saying you can't depict him like that, I'm just pointing out you're showing alastor OOC and proceeding to dictate other people's ways of handling his character. "No! You can't ship him with Charlie!! He's manipulating her!!" Uh, duh. That's the point, it's his entire character, it's not like we didn't know he was using her for his own means, we didn't forget. Besides, the fact you said Alastor is manipulating Charlie and you ship Radio*pple makes it extremely wierd that you're letting Lucifer get with the man who's manipulating his daughter and made the famous manipulating scumbag her father figure, and also cursed Charlastor for shipping a manipulative man with his "victim" in the same breath. Again, not saying you can't ship it, Im pointing out the hypocrisy.

Apparently dear nonnie, it really is that hard. Because despite their cries to "tear down the gender binary" and "you don't have to be this type of person to enjoy this type of activity it's for everyone!" They're real fucking quick to not only ascribe Alastor's personality as "fruity" (which... I mean I disagree he just isn't a fucking asshole to women) and assume that because of that he MUST like men. Yeah, real progressive thinking there. Like, leave off the fact that Lucifer looks down on sinners the same as most angels do; leave off the fact that it's really misogynistic to fob off the main FEMALE protagonist because you want your "toxic old man yaoi" to be front and center, leave off the fact that Alastor has a particular disdain for bad fathers and is well aware of Charlie's daddy issues, and also the fact that they're making the mixed race (and spoilers for next season but) VISIBLY black as a human man the bottom for a white guy. Let's just forget all of that for a second and focus on the manipulation thing for a second.

Alastor has never made any bones about why he's there, at least in relation to Charlie's goals. He flat out doesn't believe in redemption, and to be fair his assumptions are grounded in a very logical stance that the chance given was the life lived before and where you end up is deserved. So why is he actually there? Well that's a little harder to say. Some speculated he was under Lilith's thumb and was sent there to watch over her. I mean I never really believed that personally because it seems very obvious he ~~fell in love at first sight~~ first really saw her as an opportunity when watching her interview. Now it seems he might see Charlie as a way to break the shackles of his deal to regain control over his own soul again. Whatever his motives, it isn't altruism. Except here's one important thing;

CHARLIE ALREADY KNOWS THIS

As much as people like to rag on the pilot it establishes one super important thing. As naive and optimistic as Charlie can be she is well aware of what kind of person she is surrounded by and knows how to navigate the more political side of hell. She sidesteps Al's original attempt to make a deal for his help, and while she is very awkward about it he accepts. Let's look at what she says,

"As Princess of Hell and heir to the throne I hearby order that you help with this hotel, for as long as you desire. Sound fair?"

She can give an order that he likely cannot refuse, but gives him an out. Most importantly of all she does not make a deal with him for his help. Charlie is not some helpless little girl who can't see Alastor for what he actually is. She just chooses to see the best in people. Remember, she only actively makes a deal with Alastor when everyone she cares about is at risk. And even then she puts caveats on it that she will not hurt anyone for him. She holds boundaries with him and Alastor for all he condescends to her goals at times, respects.

Now let's take for a moment the view that many (not all but much like the toxic ones a very VOCAL amount) of RA shippers have of Charlie. That she is an uwu lesbean babie who doesn't know anything and would have sold her soul to the first overlord that wanted it without vaggie there to look after her. The view that she is so weak willed and naive Alastor can actively and easily manipulate her at any and all times and the only ones putting a stop to it are Vaggie and Lucifer. Okay, awesome. Lucifer has identified this sinner as a threat to his daughter whom despite all his major flaws he does seem to truly care about and want to get to know as an equal adult. You're telling me that Lucifer would willingly put his kid in harm's way to get his dick wet?

No. Nope. Nu-uh. And look, I can appreciate a good enemies to lovers. I really can. But here's the thing, enemies to lovers implies some sort of equal power and ability. According to Viv Al wouldn't be able to take Stolas in a fight. Their power sets are different sure but if a sinner can't take down a member of the Ars Goetia what the FUCK do you think would happen if he tried to take on the king of hell himself? Adam was more evenly matched to fight Lucifer than Alastor was. More importantly, why do people think that Lucifer wouldn't immediately smite Alastor? Let's be real; the only thing keeping Alastor safe when he purposefully antagonizes Luci is the fact that Charlie cares about Alastor. If she weren't there? The man would have been paste on the floor from the first insult.

Additionally; let's just address the elephant in the room. RA is gay charlastor. I'm sorry, but it is. Lucifer is male Charlie, right down to his idealistic nature. It's been beaten out of him by thousands of years of disappointment but Charlie's optimism comes from him. Luci originally wanted to make things better; his position in Heaven was to spread joy. Like, I haven't consumed any of the content but multishipper friends of mine have and the dynamic in those stories is not at all representative of the characters. And honestly? That's fine! Ship what you want! I'm not here to tell you you can't ship stuff (trust me I got way more problematic ships than this) because glass house? Meet stone. But acknowledge the fact that 1. It's a crackship that would never be canon from the outset and 2. Is just the gay version of a ship that was popular for FIVE YEARS before it. Personally; I don't seek out content I know will piss me off, but that's just me. I'm old and know fandom etiquette even if I still for the life me cannot usually remember how to spell that word.

Oh, one other reason I know RA is just gay Charlastor. Certain "artists" keep STEALING Charlastor works and "fixing" read, tracing over and not crediting the original artists, the piece by making it THEIR preferred ship. Or even funnier; they steal Charlastor fankid arts and repost them as RA. This is a persistent problem for at least one Charlastor artist to the point where not only is his handle watermarked in the art but SO IS THE CHARLASTOR LABEL.

This is the start of something Im playing around with. Feedback is appreciated, or ideas/suggestions.

She took one last look in the mirror. It was just dinner with a friend, but being a public figure meant more eyes were usually on her than most. A pair of comfortable designer jeans she had gotten from a photo shoot and a maroon fitted jumper made it look like she wasn’t trying too hard without looking like she didn’t care at all.

She tousled her hair one more time before grabbing her phone and heading to the door to grab her black winter coat and purse. The restaurant was only a few blocks from her place so it wasn’t worth the bother to drive. She didn’t mind the walk either, some of the houses on her street always went all out with their light displays and holiday decorations. Tonight was the first chance she got to walk by and enjoy them.

She was around the corner from the restaurant when her phone went off with a text notification. Even before she pulled it out of her pocket she knew what it was going to be.

Lessi: So sorry Lee, can’t make it tonight. Can we reschedule for later this week?

“Really Russo.” Leah said under her breath as she continued walking. She should have known Alessia was going to cancel. United was in town, which meant Ella was in town, and Alessia always ditched plans with others to hang out with her best friend instead. At least the last time this happened she gave a few hours advance notice. Not 5 minutes before they were supposed to meet.

Lee: Yeah, that’s fine. Tell Tooney I said hello, and I would appreciate it if she could put a few in against Chelsea tomorrow.

Leah stepped into the restaurant and headed for the bar. If she was going to be dining solo, there was no need to get a table. At least at the bar top her back was to the other patrons and she could enjoy a meal in relative peace.

The restaurant wasn’t terribly busy, but there was only one open seat at the bar. Thankfully it was at the end so she would only be sitting next to one stranger instead of being sandwiched between two. Leah crossed her fingers that the guy she was about to sit next to didn’t try and hit on her all night.

“This seat taken?” She asked politely walking up behind the seat.

“Nope. You’re more than welcome to it. Let me scoot over and give you a bit more room.” The person replied in a very obvious American accent and a deep but distinctly feminine voice.

“Oh.” Leah was caught off guard by her incorrect assumption. “I appreciate that, thank you.” She told the person as she took off her coat and placed it on the back of the chair.

After she was settled, a waiter behind the bar walked up. “Ms. Williamson, pleasure to see you again.” They said as they handed her a menu. “Start you with a drink?”

“Thank you. Glass of chardonnay, please.”

“Sure thing.” They said and then headed back down the bar.

“Regular here, huh?” The person next to her asked as they took a sip of their drink without looking in her direction.

“Not really. Only been in a few times.” She replied quietly, not really wanting to drawn much attention to herself.

“Ah, then clearly they watch women's football. As they should.”

And clearly this person knew who she was too.

“Mmm, yeah, I guess.” Was all Leah said in response.

There was silence after that, the stranger going back to their drink. They had their phone propped up on the bar watching what Leah guessed was a replay of the U.S. game against China PR from the week prior.

Leah couldn’t help herself. “What do you think of the Emma Hayes move?”

The stranger turned and faced her for the first time and Leah was struck by piercing blue eyes. Their hair was light brown and cut in a more masculine style, buzzed on the sides with the top longer and brushed back and towards one side. They had a strong jawline, but the rest of their features were what Leah would describe as soft almost. The perfect balance of masculine and feminine. Definitely not Leah’s type, but she wasn’t blind, they were very attractive.

“I think we’ll finally start utilizing the talent we have properly and stop banging our head against a wall repeatedly doing the same thing when it obviously doesn’t work. And I’m not naive, things aren’t going to change overnight. We have a young group we’re still trying to get together on the same page, but maybe they’ll all start going in the same direction at least.” The stranger finished.

“So you weren’t a fan of Vlatko I’m guessing?”

“Absolutely not. He was boring, soft, his lineups and tactics were questionable at best. I didn’t like the hire from the get go and I think he was there too long.” The stranger took a sip of their drink. “I think the powers that be got a much needed reality check. We can’t accept mediocrity and still expect to win. The women’s game has changed. Other countries are finally starting to invest in their women’s programs and youth levels bit by bit, and they are coming for the US, Germany. Being a top 5 team in the world doesn’t mean your success is a guarantee like it might have in the past.”

The waiter walked over then with Leah’s wine. She gave him her order, not bothering to even open the menu, just ordering the same chicken dish had gotten the last time she was there.

“What do you think of the move? Has a bit of an impact on league and country. Her leaving one rival and going to another so to speak.” The stranger asked over her glass before taking another sip.

“Oh, umm. It is quite the shake up. I admit I’m curious who will fill her role at Chelsea. But I’m not sure I have much to say about her taking over the U.S. team. At least not at the moment.” Leah really wasn’t looking to get into any type of potential disagreement or the like with an American about their countries football team. Keeping neutral was best.

“Fair enough.” The stranger gave a slow head nod and turned back to the game on her phone.

Leah took a sip of her wine and watched the game over the strangers shoulder. They must of had a 6th sense because they moved their phone in between the two of them without a word.

“They’re definitely disjointed. Struggling to connect between the defense and the attackers. And they can’t seem to string more than 3 passes together before they lose it.” Leah let her thoughts roll out.

“Like I said, not on the same page. There are a lot of fresh faces, which I love. But they need more time together for sure. That would help with the fluidity issue. They still need to get used to Sonnett playing the 6. I think her energy in the middle still catches some of them off guard. The speed of Thompson is hard for some to keep up with and anticipate what she’s trying to do. There is just a lot of change.” The stranger replied without so much as a glance in Leah’s direction.

It was oddly comfortable talking to a stranger about football as if Leah wasn’t really a part of that world. This person wasn’t asking her about her injury recovery, wasn’t asking or saying anything that actually had to do with Leah in any way. It was a rather nice change from her usual encounters with strangers who knew who she was and what she did for a living.

They continued watching the game in relative silence, just throwing out random comments about a play or player sporadically until Leah’s order arrived.

The waiter placed the plate in front of Leah on the bar. “Anything else I can get ya?” He asked.

“No, I think I’m alright for the time being. Thank you.” Leah gave him a polite smile.

The waiter turned to the stranger. “Another round RJ?”

“Nah, I think I’m good Colin.” The stranger pulled out their wallet and laid a bill on the bar top. “You know the drill.”

Colin, the waiter, let out a hearty laugh. “Yeah, yeah. Keep the change. You keep tipping me like this I’m going to have to start buying your rounds.” He waved the bill at her. A £50 note.

“I might let you do that. Once. But we’ll see.” The stranger, or well, RJ as the waiter had called them, got up from their chair and began putting on a camel hair coat that had been laying over the chair.

As they buttoned up their coat, Leah could help but notice how tall they were. The waiter looked to be about 6 foot, and RJ didn’t seem too far off in comparison.

“Ms. Williamson,” RJ broke Leah out of her mental calculation on their height. “It was very nice to meet you. Maybe we’ll see each other around sometime.”

“Oh, yes. It was nice to meet you as well, umm RJ?” Leah questioned. Not sure if she was to call them that or not.

“Enjoy your meal.” RJ bowed their head slightly, turned and walked away.

“RJ’s an interesting one.” The waiter said as they picked up the empty glass and wiped down the surface where RJ had been seated.

“How’d ya mean?”

“They have a drink or two, and then always hand over a £50 note. Won’t accept change even though the tab is usually less than £20.” He shook his head.

“Are they a regular?” Leah asked.

“Not sure if I would call them a regular just yet. They only moved from America about a month and a half ago, they said. Some digital job of some sort.” He shrugged. “Just holler if you need anything else.” He turned and headed back down the bar.

Which he was going to make a sly comment about when you came back but then he realized that only girls could go in the girls bathroom.

🖋️ Which leaves you with a very surprised Nikei to deal with. And being a journalist he asks a lot of questions.

and now here is my little essay on transmisogyny in the melee scene!

i’m generally not online so much but i was shared this tweet and it really lit my fuse so i logged on and poked fun at it. i could’ve guessed without looking but it’s obvious that the community at large doesn’t have an issue with this distinction. let me just say first and foremost that this is simply a drop in bucket of transphobia / misogyny and because lately it has been literally inescapable, im going to approach the few situations i have access to with scrutiny and a critical eye. i’m not going to dispel any ridiculous claims that some might make regarding trans people being jealous or something - none of those are in good faith, so i won’t bother even addressing them seriously. so, let’s get into it!

i’ll start by saying this is inherently divisive. what i am NOT saying is that the distinction between cis and trans is unimportant. i would never say this categorically; there are many times where the nuance is important. this case, i believe doesn’t fit into those times. trans women are women, which means they would also face misogyny. not only does this show on an individual level but at a larger social level too. trans women face misogyny in the same ways that cis women face misogyny in these settings. i’m not sure how im supposed to “prove” this, i think it’s a bit dehumanizing to ask someone of this, but just for example ive had men i’ve met at events harass me and send me dms that were inappropriate, ive felt othered because of my gender which led to apprehension in joining a community largely occupied by men. personally i did not play melee competitively before transitioning. i played some as a kid with siblings and while i was forced into hobbies i fundamentally didn’t enjoy because my parents thought i was a boy, i also had hobbies that were traditionally feminine and ones that were neither. the reason i bring this up is because i see some over generalizing viewpoints as well as incorrect assumptions regarding socialization.

gaming has become a more diverse and accepting space - there are issues that obviously still persist - but to simplify, it’s safer for those who are not white guys to exist in than it once was. trans women were not accepted in these spaces not only because they are queer, but because they are WOMEN. meaning : they are going to have a hard time getting into these spaces because of misogyny. that might look like trans women not having a community behind her passion OR (and i think less acknowledged) it could be a trans women not even trying to engage in a hobby because of the misogynistic barriers in place. all that to say: trans women are facing similar if not largely the same barriers a cis woman would face attempting to join such a space.

i think that some people, with or without knowing it, view trans women as a sort of in between of man and woman. not necessarily in an explicit, invalidating sense where they don’t see them as their gender, but in that they believe trans women went through a growing up and socialization process close enough to men that they are inherently far from cis women in that respect. trans women are simply not socialized as men. they generally do not undergo and accept the roles, expectations and sense of self in society that men and boys do. however, if you think that they do (which in all honesty i can’t blame many people for thinking this because of the rhetoric and language around “transitioning” in cis people’s lives is not nuanced) you can expect trans women to have a similar experience at a young age to boys, and thus imagine them not hitting social barriers a cis woman would. which as i’ve described, is just not the case.

so when you decide to celebrate a woman’s win and you certify it as a win for a cis woman, what are you doing? you’re not celebrating a win exclusive to women because you are excluding a population that broke the same barriers. if a trans woman won the biggest event ever, a victory over all the top players, we celebrate this as a momentous achievement for women, the first to do it; then a cis woman wins the next equally significant event and it was called the “first win for cis woman,” do we not understand how divisive and dismissive this is? how instantly this reduces the win of a trans woman because we imagine she, what, possibly didn’t have quite as hard a time as her cis counterpart? this is not a simply recognition of a specific population. the idea that they MUST and CAN be bisected is simply transmisogyny. a win for a woman is a win for women no matter if they were assigned it at birth or not.

It was the first day of school at a new school. God this was my worst nightmare. It's hard to make friends when you’re shy, much harder to make friends who will accept that you’re nonbinary and respect your pronouns. But what can you do? I just had to make it through the day and then I could cuddle up with a warm blanket and a wholesome romance novel. I walked into the office where there were about five other new students. We would all be assigned a person from our grade to show us around.

 I sat down and dropped my bag hoping desperately that whoever I got assigned to was friendly. This could be my only chance at making friends. There was no way in hell that I was going to “put myself out there” as my parents said I should do. There was no way I could risk doing something wrong and embarrassing myself. 

Just then into the room walked the two most gorgeous people I had ever seen in my life. They were tall, much taller than me, altho that wasn't hard considering I was 5 foot nothing and usually the youngest in my grade. I had started school early which meant I was usually at least a year younger than everyone else. Just one more reason not to draw attention to myself. 

There was one masculine person and one more feminine person (presumably a girl and a boy, but I didn't want to make assumptions) the masculine one was wearing a ripped tie-dye teeshirt and ripped blue jeans. He has blond messy hair and small silver stud earrings. He also had what appeared to be a black tattoo peaking out under his shirt. 

The feminine one was wearing black cargo pants with a chain looped around it and a tight black cropped shirt. It definitely wasn't within the dress code but no one in the office gave her trouble for it. She had a black tattoo along her side and a few piercings on her ears. Her hair was a short black wolf cut. She was muscular too. Not in a buff way but in a lean way. She looked like she could outrun a bear and also rip me in half. 

 “We’re here to pick up one of the newbies” 

the masculine one said and I could see that he had a tongue stud.

 “Ah right,” said the lady. “You two have that one” 

she said pointing right at me. Holy shit. The most attractive people I had ever seen, were assigned to show me around. ME. 

“Hi,” the feminine one said, walking over to me. “Im Alex, I use she/her pronouns and this is Julian he uses he/him. 

Wow, I had never heard someone introduce themselves with pronouns. Did this mean they would respect mine? 

“Um hi,” I said softly. “Nice to meet you. I'm Sage, I use they/them pronouns, I guess.”

“Cool,” Julian said before turning to Alex. “Let's give them the grand tour then. Where do you want to start?” 

“Let's show them their dorm first. Do you know which dorm you're in?” this last part was directed at me. 

“Umm, it says on my paper hold on,” I said grabbing the paper out of my bag. “Uhh, where is it? oh there, dorm 347.” 

“Oh that's just a few dorms down from ours,” Julian said as we started walking. “Each person has their own dorm and there's not supposed to be anyone in your dorm after eight”

“But since we are quiet and do well in our classes they let us share a dorm.” Alex cut in. “it also helps that he's trans and can't really get me pregnant. The staff don't care as much” 

“Wait so you guys are dating?” I said slightly disappointed.

“Oh yeah, we forgot to mention that didn't we?” Julian said. “Yeah, Alex and I have been dating for almost two years now.”

“Oh that's cool,” I said, trying not to let disappointment into my voice. 

We eventually got to my dorm and I dropped off my bag. Then they showed me their dorm before snatching my class sheet and taking me to all of the classes on it. After that, they showed me the cafeteria and the large open field at the back of the school. Then they took me to a small secluded corner behind one of the buildings created by a few trees and a dip in the ground.

“This is where we go when we need some space.” Julian said, “No one knows where it is other than the three of us, and it's a nice spot to hang out. Feel free to come here whenever you need.”

“Why are you showing  me this?” I asked, “you barely even know me.”

“Yeah but we have a good feeling about you,” alex said tapping my lightly on the head. “Besides queers are hard to come by at the school. We got to stick together.”

“You guys are queer?” 

“Yep, we’re both bi and im trans,” Julian said 

“Oh cool. Um im actually bi too.”

Alex looked at Julian and something passed between them.

“Well even more reason to like you” alex said with a smile. “Now come on we need to show you the rest of the campus” she said standing up and reaching for my hand. 

I grabbed her hand and she pulled me up of the ground effortlessly. If this new school doesnt kill me than these rediculously hot friends i made just might. 

I was walking with Alex down one of the halls in between the buildings. The past couple months the three of us had gotten closer and i had learned to ignore my massive crush on them. It was the middle of the day and Julian was in class and so me and alex were alone. we had decided to take a walk around the campus to pass some time. I was rambling away about something inconsequential when all of a sudden i was violenty shoved against the wall. I cut off what i was saying as i looked up at alex who had grabbed my wrists and was now pinning them to the wall on either side of my head.

“A-alex what are you doing?” i asked confused as fuck.

“Im sorry i just couldnt resist.” she leaned her head down next to my ear. “You’re so cute when you ramble”

Alex leand down and kissed my neck softly. 

W-what, i- uh- what about Julian?” i asked trying to figure out what the heck was going on. 

“What about me?” said a deep familiar voice. “Oh babe are you having all the fun without me?” Julian asked, wrapping his arms around alex and biting lightly on her earlobe.

Alex turned her head up to look at him not releasing my wrists. “Im sorry love i just coundn’t resist. You know how cute they get when they start rambling.”  

“I- what- you-” i said still trying to compute what the heak had just happened.

“You ok darling?” alex said with a smirk. “We can stop if you’d like.”

“NO” i said loudly startling myself. “Um i mean, no. pl-please dont stop. B-but i dont want to go farther than kissing if that makes sense. Im- im actually asexual.”

“Oh thats ok darling we dont have to do anything more. Do you want to just come to our dorm and cuddle? Theres something alex and I want to talk to you about.” Julian said, smiling at me comfortingly. 

“Um o-ok” 

Julian backed up and alex let go of my wrists and stepped back aswell. I took a step but my legs were shaking so bad that i fell forward. Right into Julians arms. 

“Do you need me to carry you baby?” Julian whispered into the hair above my ear. 

“N-no im ok” i said trying to push myself out of his arms. 

“Are you sure? You look pretty unsteady there.” then without warning he picked me up bridal style. 

“Wh- i said im fine!”

“Should i put you down?”

“...No i guess its fine” i said burying my face in his neck and wrapping my arms around him.

“You see what i mean?” alex said looking at Julian. “Theyre fucking adorible.”

Alex grabbed Julians arm and we started walking down the hall toward their room. Thankfully everyone was in class and there was no one in the halls to see us. Once we got to alex and Julians dorm alex opened the door and we walked in. once we were in she closed and locked the door. 

Julian walked over and sat down on the bed placing me in his lap with his arms comfortably wrapped around me. Despite my better jusdgment i couldent stop myself from leaning into his warm touch. Alex smiled and sat down on the bed nest to us placing on hand on my thigh. 

“So, me and Julian have been talking a lot,” she began.

“And we’ve realized that we're both really into you.” Julian continued.

“So we were wondering if, maybe”

“You would want to date us?”

I was stunned. Like i knew something was going on obviously, im not that oblivious but i was still in shock that these two beautiful people wanted me.

“Were sorry for springing this on you so suddenly,” Julian continued

“And we understand of your not interested.”

“wh-what , no wait, of course i'm interested, i mean you guys are, well your you!” i said, not looking t them. “I just don't get why you would want me.” 

“Oh baby, why wouldent we want you?” Julian said nipping my ear with his teeth. 

“Your, as you so eloquently said, you,” alex said tilting my chin up to look at her. 

“So,” Julian said squeezing my softly, “will you be our partner?”

“Yes of course i will.” i said leaning my face into alexs hand and looking up at her. 

“Perfect” she exclaimed, tackling Julian and I and knocking us down onto the bed. 

After a bit of maneuvering we all settled down for a quick cat nap before our next classes. As i fell asleep i looked at julian and alex drifting to sleep on either side of me i realised everything was perfect.

I think because of fan service and skin ship it's sometimes hard to differentiate to potential sexualities, even in a group like BTS where it seems less geared toward queer sensibilities.

Jin - He's straight, I could also see him as demi-sexual though

Suga - Bi/Pan - he's said as much in lyrics and interviews, but probably leans towards women in general.

Firstly, Hobi & Jimin...

J Hope - Bi, he initially gave me ACE vibes, but as I got to know him I realised he's probably wasn't comfortable in his sexuality and has grown in confidence.

Jimin - Bi... well first off he's close to Kai and Taemin and friends, who give off the biggest queer vibes in the entire K-Pop community, also he flirts with anything guys and girls in equal measure.

Ok on to Taekook, here are some of the things that make me think why I came to the conclusions I did...

JK

Demi-sexual Gay or possibly Bi with possible gender non-conforming. JK is an enigma wrapped in a puzzle… yes, he dresses masculine a lot, but he constantly wears gender-neutral clothing brands and even said (paraphrasing) fashion has no gender.

He has liked queer singer/songwriters:

Overall, whilst he can be masculine, there are times JK is incredibly feminine. JK is queer, he just doesn't broadcast it loudly, just like the others in the group or even in K-Pop in general. So the suspicion is less on him because he only occasionally talks about his interests and likes, that might come across as queer.

Tae

He's probably the only one I can say is definitely gay. He does things that your typical straight man would not do.

Most straight men I know, personally or work with, would not have three gay photographers as their favourites and in the case of Ante Badzim an inspiration. Also, I find it interesting that as a thank-you Ante (who is now a friend with Tae) Tweeted this photo of two naked men in a pool:

Ryan McGinley, a well known photographer, who's photographed tons of celebs, but also posts very gay and very naked gay couples, nudes and sexually explicit suggestive content mostly focusing on the men...

In 2017, Dean (KwonHyuk) posted a screenshot of his conversation with Tae (note the chat was quite innocuous). Conclusion

No straight person I know would highlight this many queer content/artists as their personal favourites. Most gay men I know will gravitate to queer content more and have queer representations in the homes and life. People gravitate to things that resonate with themselves. And if you're queer, that will be queer people and things.

taking an archaeology class.

we’ve reached The Woman Day™ in the semester where they tell us how shit it was to be a woman in ancient greece and rome (a separate rant), and teacher has us do an exercise I actually liked - go out into the building and find material evidence that women were here/exist.

which like I thought the lesson was supposed to be that we’d need prior context of a civilization in order to determine for certain that the material evidence present indicated womanhood. and that may have been part of what the teacher was going for.

but I realized that I was defining “evidence” very differently than others.

we were in groups, right? I was in a group with two other they/thems (yes get it) and we found much less conclusive “evidence” than everyone else, bc of how we were defining it. like, pretty much everyone brought up a memorial plaque that had “women’s” names on it, but our group discounted that as conclusive evidence almost immediately, bc name =/= gender, and plus if this was a “finding evidence from an extinct civilization” situation, then we might not have the linguistic knowledge to distinguish “masculine” and “feminine” names. like, it still indicates at least an amount of femininity if we have the cultural context for it, but it is in no way conclusive.

everyone went straight for the bathrooms to see if they were gendered, and while they just said “restroom” the sign had the man/woman bathroom pictograms. our group discounted that as conclusive immediately bc if you didn’t have the cultural understanding of what those pictograms were there is no way you would jump to ‘triangle person = woman, rectangle guy = man’ and we were assuming that it was a “finding an ancient civilization we’ve never seen before” situation

our group also went immediately for literature - there were copies of local newspapers and student publications, and we all scanned through until we found she/her pronouns being used for an author. in fact, I noticed that while others were much more willing to take basic appearance and presentation as evidence of gender, our they/them squad primarily used pronouns to conclusively determine the presence of women. so I understand that chunk pretty much, it makes sense.

but like. people were so weird about coming at this from an objective third party standpoint. I figured the point was to assume no prior cultural context, and that seems like it was the intention, but most of the evidence everyone else relied on was maddeningly inconclusive and made assumptions of what we would know about a civilization where we were doing an archaeological dig. like, a picture of a person isn’t conclusive evidence. it indicates how they present, but does nothing to indicate the meaning of that presentation. same with names.

and. i figured. that the teacher would point that out. that the point was not to assume anything. that it’s really hard to conclusively tell what genders of people used a space.

but. he didn’t. he was rewarding the most obscure little bits. apparently the point was ‘you have to look really hard and use everything you can’

which i can get

but. it was just. very disappointing.

i just. i feel like it was a combo of queerness and that i misunderstood or missed something where i had just assumed we were using pure scientific method, assuming nothing as given or set in stone.

one of the other students was like ‘ok but like there’s no way we’d have no prior context, what, is it like aliens came and zapped up all evidence of civilization?’

and im like. you’re in. an archaeology class. what are you doing here.

"kuroo.. i can't believe im saying this to you right now.." kenma said with a bit of reluctance. kuroo raised a brow and sent him a smirk of amusement. "oya oya?" kuroo mused 

"but im so glad that you're here" kenma sighed dejectedly 

kuroo's eyes widened as he heard those mere words come out of kenma's mouth. he grinned and chuckled lowly "is that so? why are you so glad, then?" he asked

it was currently seven in the morning, and they were both standing outside of the volleyball clubroom. 

"ke-n-ma~" a faint feminine voice called out 

kenma flinched, feeling a chill travel down his spine. he shakily looked back before banging on the door. "hold on!" he shouted. the girl merely replied with sluggish giggles. 

kuroo spluttered in shock as he started crying tears of either joy or jealousy, kenma didn't really know.  "y-you have a girl in there?!" kuroo whisper shouted 

kenma grumbled before nodding. 

"holy shit!" kuroo exclaimed as he started jumping around "kenma you sly freak-" 

"stop it!" kenma whisper shouted "we didn't do that or whatever it is you're thinking about.." kenma scrunched his face up in distaste and annoyance. "it would be the farthest thing from that.." he muttered 

"okay? then what are you waiting for?! she's calling for you!" kuroo exclaimed as he held in his laugh. he motioned to the clubroom, which had the girl's voice emitting from. 

"stop it, kuroo" kenma groaned "i stepped out because i didn't know how to deal with.. that." 

kuroo stopped laughing as he heard a loud thud, almost as if someone fell over. he chuckled nervously. "um, kenma.. i think your lady friend is having some troubles.." kuroo said with a chuckle 

kenma whipped his head around, his cat-like eyes widening as he hurriedly slammed the door open. he didn't want to be worried over the suicide freak but with what happened just a few days ago from the rooftop, he couldn't help but feel scared. 

"y/n, did you die?!-" he sweat dropped as he saw her standing on one of the desks. she looked roughed out, and just delusional at this point. 

"kenma-kun~ just look at that!" she exclaimed as she pointed at the air. kenma deadpanned as he looked up at her "i don't see anything." he said 

she ignored him and grinned cheekily "ive finally arrived!" 

"in the afterlife! at yomotsushirasaka!" she laughed “its exactly as i imagined! blue smoke trailing along the ground.. moonlight dashing against the windows.." 

kenma sighed and shook his head "what is happening.." he muttered 

"i think this can explain it" kuroo said with an amused chuckle. kuroo showed him a book titled 'complete guide to suicide' and a half eaten mushroom. 

she laughed and leaned in closer to kenma's face "i knew the complete guide to suicide was a masterpiece!" she said "who knew i just needed to eat mushrooms in the nearby hills to have such an entertaining way out?!" she cheered and laughed loudly. 

kenma merely sighed as he took the mushroom from kuroo and threw it out the window. 

"so.. she ate poisonous mushrooms?" kuroo asked with a hint of dread and fear "im pretty sure those weren't poisonous!" kuroo exclaimed "she's high! she's literally hallucinating right now!" 

kenma groaned in pain as he struggled to hold himself up. she was currently clung onto him like a leech, muttering nonsense with a smile. "i-i can see that.." kenma squeaked out 

"i finally caught you!" she exclaimed as she squeezed him tighter "rainbow pillbug!" she cheered 

"rainbow what? get off me!" kenma grumbled as he tried to pry her off him 

kuroo cackled loudly, laughing like a hyena as he watched the scene play out. "t-this is so-" he cut himself off with even more laughter  "who even is this chick, kenma?" kuroo asked as he suppressed his laughs 

kenma couldn't answer as y/n started squirming around, making him tumble over until they both landed on the ground. 

"y/n, what the hell.." kenma winced as he rubbed the back of his head 

"ke-n-ma~" she cooed and slapped her hands on his face 

she squeezed his cheeks and sent him a loopy grin "you should come with me to the afterlife, kenma-kun~" she cooed  "you can drink all you want!" she exclaimed "you can eat all you want!" 

"you can-" she was cut off as kenma pushed her back and held her down to the ground 

kenma huffed as he held the girl down by her wrists, sitting ontop of her to keep her from moving.  "you weirdo! i am this close to-" 

"kenma?" 

the pudding head froze, along with kuroo, as they look back to see the rest of the team standing by the doorway 

"w-what is this?! a girl?! with kenma?!" taketora exclaimed with a look of fury and jealousy lacing his features.  that quickly dissipated as his eyes landed on kuroo sitting on the other side of the room. 

taketora gulped. "w-with kuroo too?" he chuckled nervously “w-wow uh- i knew you guys were close but i didn't think you were that close" taketora said with an awkward smile 

kenma paled as he listened to taketora's assumptions. thankfully, kuroo came in to the rescue.  "i- that's not what happened! yamamoto, get your mind out of the gutter" kuroo sighed irritably 

kai stepped forward and eased them down. "what is happening, exactly?" he asked 

"kenma, who is this girl? is she okay?" he asked with a frown upon noticing the girl's condition. 

kenma sighed and scrunched his face up. he looked between his team and at y/n.  “she's.. my friend." kenma answered quietly

"and she's fine. i think" he said as he got off her and pulled her off the ground. 

"you think?" kuroo asked sarcastically 

"wait, hold up- what happened, exactly?" lev chimed in, a look of confusion on his eyes. 

kenma glared at the tall boy and grumbled in response. "none of your business" he said 

"kenma-kun, that boy is tall enough to kill us both. wanna try?" she whispered to his ear.  her (e/c) eyes bore through lev's, making the latter sweat nervously 

"no." kenma whispered back 

"anyways.. i gotta get rid of her" kenma said as he pushed her out of the clubroom, himself following behind.  "so, bye i guess" was all he said before leaving. 

the team looked at each other, completely lost and confused. 

"um, what just happened?" shibayama asked to break the silence. kuroo chuckled and presented the 'complete guide to suicide' book to them. 

"i think she was following something here, and something ended up wrong" kuroo laughed. yaku laughed lightly and took the book from him 

"that's kinda funny-- hold on, is this an instruction book for suicide?!"

Über Deutsch

well, i have finished my deutsch learning in duolingo. wkwkwk, such an experience. to learn without teacher is not really my style, because i ask a lot and confuse (more than) a lot. how hard is deutsch? to be honest, harder than english, but much less than japan. and other language with (other than) latin alphabet, i guess. the grammar is quite different than english. but compared to other language in europe, i guess deutsch has the same level of them. with different point of difficulties. 

i started my deutsch learning because my friend encourage me to use duolingo. why deustch, simply because i had my class in deutsch as my additional class in high school. i thought it could be a basic lesson for me to continue learning it in duolingo. well, what we know is a drop, what we dont know is an ocean WKWKWKWK. believe me, the thing you had learned in high school was totally nothing and didnt help at all wkwk. in the end, i felt like being trapped because i cant just escape from learning it. i need to finish it once i started. so to be prices, how hard is it to learn german? here are the list

1. gender

this is the first world problem of learning german, and other european language ( i guess). most of european language has gender for its nouns. every. single. noun. without exception. english also used to have gender as well. but eventually, the rule vanished. why. idk. just google it. moreover, the gender are 3. maskulin, neutral, and feminin. how do you do the gender of the noun?

in english, we say the bird, the book, and the guitar. in deutsch, we say der Vogel, das Buch, and die Gitarre. all ‘der, das, die’ means the. Der is for maskulin noun, Das is for neutral noun, and Die is for feminine noun. how do you know a noun is maskulin, neutral, or feminin? well, you cant make assumption like “oh, the dog sounds more manly and cat is more like a girl. i bet the dog is maskulin and the cat is feminine”. in this case, you are right. der Hund (the dog) is maskulin and die Katze (the cat) is feminin. but, das Madchen (the girl) -- that is supposed to be total feminin -- is neutral. many of the noun is just random. you really need to live with it to know which gender are they. fortunately, deutsch also has rule for some of them. you can recognize the gender by its ending. like, the -ung and -schaft ending are feminin, no doubt. the -chen ending ist neutral, must be. the -ist and -ling ending must be maskulin. and of course there are still many other ending, i just cant tell you all of them. 

ah. and all the plural stuff is simply ‘die’. no matter of the gender in singlular, they become ‘die’ if you make plural
