#realized the term I want to use to describe alastor is 'emotionally detached'#saw that phrase the other dat describing something and it made a bell go off in my head#i write him as emotionally detached from nearly everything#on one hand it means he has fun trolling and any disrespect is like water off a duck's back#on the other hand it makes meaningful relationships very hard and makes social interaction feel like near-empty & unfulfilling entertainment#been seeing headcanons about PD's he might have and I'm not qualified to pin one on him#and also consistent emotional detachment is a trauma response too. I'm not a psychologist.#so I won't comment one way or another. but what I WILL say is that his level of emotional detachment & severe difficulty forming meaningful#bonds with others veers into clinical territory.#he's ALWAYS in performance mode bc socializing in an appropriate way does not come organically#I HC it was like that for him in life but worse in death bc mass slaughter and cannibalism don't really do any favors for#one's psychosocial development tbh... and neither does the following isolation he brought on himself.#anyway this is a del l8r post so dont rebloge please#for now im gonna put it in the abt tag tho#hungry as the grave (about)
