Vice Dorm Leader Swap
Twst brainrot has me thinking too much of various possible dynamics so here’s something that no one really asked for <3 I might do a full fic one day, chapters and all, but first I gotta finish my first wip. For now, this has first initial meetings to set everything up.
Side Note: Ortho and Ruggie may not be vice dorm leaders but they deserve to be part of the post anyways so here they are. Cheka also makes an appearance. The fic could alternatively be known as Yuu getting revenge but it’s seen as a favor.
The dorm leaders were getting impatient. Crowley was, once more, late to a meeting he called for. Did he really think teens in a villain’s school would patiently wait? Several were considering leaving the room already with Leona, Idia, and Kalim being the only one truly unaffected by the headmaster’s tardiness. For one had fell asleep while the other had sent his tablet in his steed. Kalim was as bright as always, cheerful and treating it like any other gathering with friends.
With a dramatic bang, the doors to the room opened, revealing their tardy headmaster. “The Ramshackle prefect has expressed their concerns and as headmaster, I have listened and taken their words to account. Aren’t I so kind?” Crowley gave a broad grin to the unamused dorm leaders. Leona, especially, for being rudely awakened and the first words he heard was him.
“To promote camaraderie among the students, it has been decided that the vice dorm leaders shall swap houses for a week.” At this, all except Kalim protested at once. “Is it so hard to co-exist among your peers? Why, the prefect’s advice is sound. From the beginning, they had managed to make unlikely allies to join together! Beast tamer, they really are!” Crowley happily continued, cutting off their attempts to convince him of changing his mind.
“They have offered to document your progress,” he mentioned, then held a piece of paper for the dorm leaders to see. “Here are the dorms where your vices will stay in. I hope that by the end of the week, all of you have grown together and the vice dorm leader will return to your dorms in good spirits. A fine experience for us all!”
Somewhere in Ramshackle, the prefect casually cleaned their ghost camera. A trip to Sam’s Mystery Shop had led to their discovery of more film for their camera. They wondered how the dorms would fare without their trusted vice dorm leader. And they should probably warn Malleus. They didn’t try think anyone remembered to invite them to meeting again.
Heartslabyul ft. Rook Hunt
To Cater, everything was normal. As it could be in Heartslabyul, but normal. At least until he entered the lounge to discover Rook, in full Heartslabyul uniform no less. He even wore the signature dorm makeup, with a heart being the chosen card suite. And had somehow acquired a Heartslabyul themed hat. He looked at Riddle, who didn’t seem surprised by Rook’s appearance in their lounge. Which meant their was a reason Rook was like this.
“Monsieur Magicam!” Rook exclaimed with a large smile, taking Cater out of his thoughts. “Roi des Roses has told me about the croquet game schedule later. Such merveilleux opportunity, to join one of Heartslabyul’s famed traditions!”
One glance at Riddle’s cautious stance and the surprise on the two freshman that entered the lounge from the outside told him this was entirely unplanned. And now that he thought about it, Trey was absent too. Looks like he had to warn everyone else, lest something went wrong and Riddle lose his temper. Cater brought a smile to his lips and put an arm around Rook, the other bringing his phone in front of their faces. “Let’s take a picture to remember this then?” With a quick snap, he caught a photo of his usual Magicam worthy smile alongside Rook’s eager expression. “Looks like there’s a new card soldier in town! #warmwelcome.” He added a few more tags before he posted.
Savanaclaw ft. Ortho Shroud
Jack wasn’t sure what he expected, upon returning from his morning run. But it wasn’t to see not one. But two children in the dorm’s lounge. Where was Leona and why wasn’t he doing anything to help watch them? Speaking of which….
The smaller one had look his way and brightened, then immediately ran towards his side. Ortho, following after. “Are you one of Ojitan’s friends? Can you help me?” Cheka pouted, looking down. “I can’t find Ojitan anywhere.” Jack knew, at that moment, his dorm leader would be zero help, even for his own nephew. He wanted to continue on to his room and finish up his homework later but looks like babysitting was going to be in schedule today. “I’m sure Leona’s just busy,” he told Cheka, vaguely. He figured Leona had hidden somewhere to avoid his nephew but the kid didn’t need to kno that part.
“I could help with any dorm related issues,” Ortho offered. “I’ve always help Nii-san around our dorm. Maybe if everything gets done, Leona Kingscholar can spend time with his nephew! Besides, the headmaster has said to help encourage more friendly inter-dorm relations, the vice dorm leaders will swap to different dorms. I’m here as Ignihyde’s pseudo vice.” That would’ve been…interesting if anything else. Jack was thankful Savanaclaw got someone good. But a dorm with athletic students that tended to get into fights wasn’t the best place for a child who knew technology. “There’s no need,” Jack improvised. “Leona will be able to handle everything himself. Actually, let’s play a game while we wait. Do you want to play hide and go seek?”
The bright cheers told him everything he needed to know. He was babysitting today. Jack knew, this was not his problem but he was also sure it wasn’t a bright idea to leave a prince and someone capable of possibly destroying the school unsupervised. He was doing this out of duty, watching over the two. No other reason.
Octavinelle ft. Trey Clover
Floyd was ecstatic. Something interesting was happening. And it didn’t hurt Azul looked a little annoyed at the inconvenience of it all. He watched as Azul muttered a few numbers under his breath, calculating. Something about Jade and more work but that didn’t really matter to him.
Sea turtle walked back in as instructed, wearing Octavinelle’s dorm uniform. He had raised an eyebrow at Azul before glancing at Floyd. Without looking up, Azul spoke. “With the absence of my vice and in turn, you’re here in his place, all of his usual duties will be in your hands. I’ll have someone else replacing his shift for today but only for today.” Finally finished with whatever he was writing, he look up to watch Trey. “Floyd will help you get used to the lounge in the meanwhile. I expect you’ll be able to handle cooking alongside the rest of our usual helpers, given your experience.”
“It shouldn’t be too hard. I’ve helped bake for Unbirthday parties in Heartslabyul all the time.” Floyd decided to butt into the conversation. Azul and sea turtle can figure everything out later. He was getting bored. “Let’s go!”
Scarabia ft. Lilia Vanrouge
Kalim was happy. Lilia was staying in their dorm! He had wanted to prepare a slumber party in the lounge but Jamil had said it would take too much work. And he didn’t want to give his friend more work, especially since he wanted to give him a break. Kalim had promised to eat in the cafeteria with Jamil, insisting that he could just taste test instead of preparing all of his meals for the week and Jamil had relented.
“It’ll be like a sleepover!” Kalim told Lilia, excited. All that was missing, other than Jamil, was Cater. Then everyone from the Light Music Club could have fun! Maybe another time. They still had club meetings after all.
Telling Lilia to wait, he quickly went into the treasure room. Where was that magic carpet? He was sure Lilia would enjoy it!
Pomefiore ft. Ruggie Bucchi
Epel didn’t know what to think. On one side he wasn’t going to have to worry about Rook. On the other, Rook was the only thing making it a little easier to be around Vil. But above all, he was extremely thankful. He wasn’t the one with Vil right now.
From the moment Ruggie had walked into Pomefiore, Vil had insisted on helping him get settled. Which included fussing over the dorm clothes and makeup. And that meant he wasn’t the one subjected under that for now. He felt bad for his upperclassman, but this wasn’t something he was going to help in if the risk was turning Vil’s attention back onto him.
So for now, he left to wander Pomefiore’s outer grounds. Even for a few minutes, he wanted a little time to himself. Besides, Ruggie was quick to adapt to different circumstances. He figured he’d be fine.
Ignihyde ft. Jamil Viper
This was horrible. Worst thing ever. Okay, maybe not completely the worst. If the head dorm leaders switched instead, that meant Idia had to be the one to leave his room. He had too much games to grind to leave for a week, especially with the new upcoming events. Why did every game decide to release new content at once?!
And that also meant hosting an outsider for no reason. None of the other students in his dorm were willing to give up space in their rooms, too wary to let a stranger inside. He couldn’t blame them. He would be the same but unfortunately, he was Ignihyde’s dorm leader.
Jamil had given Idia a neutral stare during Idia’s quick introduction. He couldn’t really tell what the other had thought. His only memorable interaction with Jamil Viper was a little bit before the fairy gala. That on its own had been a little embarrassing. “So, yeah, that should be everything. Don’t expect to see much of everyone else btw. We’re not like you extroverts in Scarabia,” he said, muttering the last part. There was an interested look in Jamil’s eyes at that. “Finally, a break then,” was all Jamil had said.
Diasomnia ft. Jade Leech
Silver was a little worried. Not for his father, the Asim heir and him were friends after all. Not for Malleus, although he did seem a little disappointed at receiving the news from Yuu about how he missed the meeting. He didn’t seem too concerned about the swap either. It was for Sebek, who outright protested the moment Jade had entered their dorm. And the fact Jade was the one where they had to host for a week.
Before any of the Diasomnia members could say a word, Jade had offered to make a meal as a thank you for letting him stay. Not like they really had a choice in the matter. But he had insisted and left before he or Sebek could protest. They all settled on silently sitting at the table. Jade’s cooking couldn’t be as bad as his father’s, Silver knew. Azul wouldn’t allow that. But Jade could also purposely mess with their food somehow.
Jade had returned and Silver was glad that the food smelled edible, at least. Malleus and Sebek left their food untouched, when Jade put the food down. But Jade didn’t seem to really notice, as his eyes watched him instead. So he decided to take one for the team and took the first bite.
“…!”
Malleus and Sebek had narrowed their eyes. “This is delicious! The mushrooms are high quality! The texture, the flavor!” Silver exclaimed.
Jade gave a satisfied smile. “Why, of course! The mushrooms were harvested by the members in the Mountain Lovers Club. These in particular were foraged from the mountains, then grown in the botanical garden under our care.”
Oh, well that explains it. “Are the club members also who to thank for providing the ones served in the cafeteria?” he asked. Jade nodded and continued to explain the mushrooms in question, with the minor detail how Azul and Floyd had said they were tired of eating it for two weeks straight, hence the extra being donated to the cafeteria. If anything else, Silver decided, he could trust Jade on this one thing. And could benefit of eating outside of his father’s cooking. He hoped Lilia didn’t offer to make anything for Kalim during the week though. That couldn’t end well.
