katsuki has always known that part of him is wrong.
he’s never liked being touched. every kiss he’s experienced has made him tense as an elevator cable poised to snap. any attempt to go further than that has made him a little ill, made his gut feel like a stack of loose papers being torn to shreds, slow and loud.
it doesn’t help that he’s only ever had three kisses in his life: eijirou at a new year’s party (too many teeth), eijirou again at another new year’s party nearly a decade later (too much tongue), and then his fourth date with kyoka (when he tried to convince himself he just had to push through the discomfort to become normal).
things went further than that. it was a mistake. they both knew it right after it happened—kyoka first, and then katsuki after his head stopped pounding with what if i'm doing this wrong what if she's pitying me for fucking this up what if i don't know how to touch another person correctly what if i was supposed to learn at some point and i missed it how could i fucking miss it will it always be like this because i can't do this again i can't i don't—
“kat," she said after. she looked at him with something only a few degrees removed from pity, and poorly removed at that.
he attempted a halting non-apology. he attempted a real apology. failed at both.
"it's okay, you know," she said. "to not like it."
he scoffed even though he wasn’t entirely clear on what she meant by it, because there was so much he didn’t like. “i like it just fine.”
“if that was liking it, I’m honestly worried about your capacity for enjoying life in general.” it wasn’t a joke. her bluntness was something that'd made katsuki think he could push his boundaries with her. all of her thoughts were laid out plain for him to read, an open-source journal. “i'm just saying you don't have to like it. and you don’t have to force yourself to do things you don’t want to do. don't fuck yourself over for someone else's happiness.”
kyoka still texts him often, checks in, invites him to drinks with their friends. she’s kind. she’s normal. she doesn’t have this weird, shredded thing inside her that makes her balk at the idea of someone’s hand on her skin. that makes her think she's doing something wrong, even if she's not the one that initiated the touch.
when you started your job at the front desk of katsuki’s agency, he never thought that he'd be here, wishing above everything that he could just be normal. just for one fucking day, so he could laugh at your shitty jokes and maybe brush his knuckles across the back of your hand in passing and take you on a date where he could kiss you in his car after driving you home and the thought wouldn’t make his skin crawl, wouldn't tear up his insides to pulp.
because he fucked everything up. he's standing in his empty office where you'd been spending time with him and he fucked it up and hurt you and he's not sure how to unfuck it.
the thing is, he could grin and bear it. he could deal with the odd thing inside him that hates the contact and white-knuckle it through every kiss, every caress. but he’s never been a great actor. he wouldn’t be able to hide that from you.
(kyoka told him, years later, that it’s not that the sex itself wasn’t fine—what made it nearly unbearable for her was the fact that she could tell, only after it was too late, that being physically vulnerable with her pained him far more than he was willing to reveal.)
no one wants to feel like the person they’re with is grinning and bearing it. that they’re white-knuckling it through. katsuki knows this. he knows he’s basically a fucking virgin all but in title at thirty and that he’s got the personality of a dried-out fig you find in your fridge weeks after its last edible moments. he doesn't have much to offer.
but he walked into work one day and nodded at you, curt, a grimace on his face—and you smiled at him so kindly that his stomach twisted.
with you, it wasn't the feeling of something being torn apart. it was different, lighter. leaves wrenched into the sky by a strong breeze. still a kind of tearing, but different—less destructive.
he was wearing a deep carmine sweater his mom sent him in one of her bi-monthly care packages (as if he’s not an adult, and a pro-hero on top of that), and you said, “that’s such a nice color on you. is it new?”
there was that breeze inside his chest, strong, pulling at his bones. “yeah,” he grunted. then slowly, as if remembering how: “thanks.”
it was the attention, he thought at first, that piqued his interest. he wasn't used to it. people always watched him from afar, and he had fans online that were borderline obsessive, but people didn’t approach him. they didn’t say that’s such a nice color on you. they didn’t smile the way you smile.
he’s always had a shallow streak. it’s not like he doesn’t know this. it’s become a little muted over time, a little discouraged by the visible scarring on his face and body from his time in the field, but it’s never fully been eradicated. so it was simple, he thought. you paid him attention and stroked his ego, and he preened like a self-obsessed bird of paradise.
and then you started making these little origami whale sharks.
fucking stupid. it bothered him an annoying amount. you had a bunch at your desk, all different colors and sizes, some taped to your desktop monitor, some hung up with little pieces of string under the desk's storage overhang. you drew dots on the back of each one, a distinct spotted pattern that was unique for each shark. and you made them for everyone but him. eijirou bought you a pack of high quality origami paper and you made him his own fucking school, all with little faces, winking or surprised or angry, their wide paper mouths gaping and empty, the lines of their bodies pressed careful and sure.
he hated it. it was annoying and a waste of company time and he usually didn’t ever use dumb corporate slogans like “a waste of company time” but you were really pushing his fucking limits.
it was definitely just the attention he liked, he told himself, because surely someone doing something as dumb as this would annoy him to no fucking end if he spoke to them.
and then he spoke to you and he was wrong.
he asked why you made the damn things in the first place and you told him, “i like whale sharks. but to be totally honest, i just run out of things to do."
and he saw that as a challenge. you were running out of things to do? rest assured he could find more shit for you to take care of. so he did. tasks that he wouldn't wish on his worst enemy, they were so dull and time-consuming. and you were so achingly competent that it drove him up a fucking wall. you completed everything he asked of you in half the time it would take someone else, and you always reported back with a smile, and you always did good work, and he could see himself having a conversation with you about something other than work but he didn't want to try because he was worried he'd begin to like you as a person.
you're pretty. really fucking pretty. he can see that now, and he sure as fuck saw it then. you're hardworking. you're just likeable, and that's something katsuki had never been. it (reluctantly) impressed him. worse than that, it turned his feelings for you into a sort of interest.
but he knows he's not normal when it comes to things like this.
he tried to distance himself from you because of it, but it turns out that asking someone to do work for you means you do have to speak to them sometimes. and sometimes turned into a lot of times.
sometimes turned into bringing him coffee in the morning, not because he asked you to, but because you're sweet like that. sometimes turned into being the person he bounced ideas off of when he had a board meeting coming up or something otherwise boring and meticulous. sometimes turned into you laughing at his prickly comments rather than going quiet because of them. turned into you saying suck it up, dynamight, this is what it means to be the boss when he complained about doing paperwork.
sometimes turned into staying late with him at the office, getting take out for the two of you to share while you finished filing claims and damage reports and other stuff he hated taking care of by himself. sometimes turned into him asking you to stay late just because he wanted you there. because even when he was quiet, you'd tell him about your day, about things that happened in the office, about how much you like the book you'd both been reading. he loved listening to you talk. felt comfortable enough to tell you things about himself when he'd never felt comfortable doing that before.
sometimes turned into you holding out a piece of fried tofu from your take-out container for him to eat while he was approving time-off forms that he should have looked at much earlier that week, and you being so close that he could notice how good you smelled, and the warmth of your body basically radiated towards him, like all your energy was focused on him, and your smile was small but somehow even more lovely than usual, a secret for him to tuck away and keep, and when you finished feeding him and he had a little sauce on the corner of his mouth and you reached forward to wipe it off for him and your hand lingered there for a moment and your eyes fell to his lips and what if you try to kiss me and i'm wrong and you hate me for it and what if i can't give you what you want and what if i'm not actually what you want what if i've disappointed you already what if—
it was too much.
so he fucked it up. your thumb was so soft against his skin. he reeled backwards in his chair, rolling it whole feet clear of you, and he felt the tearing again, the bad kind, like paper unevenly shredded by clumsy hands, and he had to leave. he had to leave. he needed to leave so badly that it felt like pulling his skin off would be preferable to being in that office with you.
hiding in the bathroom was fucking pitiful. he remembered his breathing exercises. he remembered to ground himself. and when he came back to his office, you were gone.
if he was normal—and he wants to be normal, god fucking damn—he could have stomached your proximity. he could have eaten out of your fucking hand. he could have touched you back like a normal person probably would have and he wouldn't be here, alone, looking at a little purple sticky note you left him that says i finished organizing the pto forms. i hope you feel better!
he doesn't know whose pride you're trying to save with that. as if you didn't leave because he made things so fucking awkward by running away from you when you touched him. when you—maybe, if he was reading the room correctly—were about to kiss him.
and you don't speak to him for days. he doesn't want to push so he doesn't—just watches you out of the corner of his eye whenever you're both in the same room, which is arguably worse. he's not sure. he's just itching to fucking talk to you because he misses it.
he misses you. in a more-than-friends way.
it takes a while for him to realize this. when he does, it hits him like a metal rod up the side of the head. it's fucked up of him to miss you the way he does when he doesn't feel like he can provide you with the things a normal person could. and though he's worked on his patience over the years—worked on understanding that he can't have everything he wants—it doesn't stop him from being selfish and finally pulling you aside to talk.
and baffling as fucking ever, the first thing you say is sorry. "i know i should've talked to you about it earlier. i just—i shouldn't have done that. and i know it. i shouldn't have assumed that—i don't know. that you..."
you look helpless. it's one of the very few times that katsuki has ever felt the compulsion to touch someone. not because he wants the touch, per se, but because he wants to be able to provide comfort. he never figured out how to do that with words. he's so focused on his inability to comfort you that he barely has any idea of what you're actually talking about. instead of doing anything at all, he just stands there like a fuckwad.
"i just want you to know that i would never—like never—have touched you, or tried to... if i didn't think there was like, a vibe?" you shake your head, exasperated with yourself. "god, even that sounds so bad. i'm sorry, i just—"
"wait, what are—?" and then it clicks, because he's been slow on the uptake figuring out his shit when he should have been focusing way more on yours. "there was..." katsuki says, and he fucking hates that he can't find better words for what you were both feeling in his office, "a vibe."
the way your face changes when you're flustered is one of katsuki's favorite things, but it's not as enjoyable when he feels just as flustered as you look. "i—oh? so... so you—?"
his ears feel like they're being attacked by two heated straightening irons and he knows they're red as hell right now. he's gonna have to say this plainly even though he'd rather get his teeth pulled out one by one with a pair of pliers. "it's not you."
your expression loses any sort of hope it once held. you press your lips together and sigh, maybe a little exasperated. he's doing his best here but he knows his best is shit. "i can handle a non-cliché rejection," you tell him. "honestly, i'd prefer a non-cliché rejection—"
"i'm not trying to reject you," he says, and it's selfish of him. because he's really not. he isn't comfortable with the things you'd want from him, but he still wants you in some capacity. "i just don't—do shit like that."
"kissing?"
somehow knowing for sure that you did want to kiss him in his office makes him want you more. he likes that you're bold. he likes that you're not ashamed of that. he wants to be different than he is. "any... of it," he struggles to admit.
"at all?"
he nods.
"just—like touching, and stuff?"
it sounds so juvenile that he can't help but laugh through his nose, roll his eyes. "yeah. touching and stuff."
"oh."
you're disappointed. of course you are. it's not like he expected anything different, but—sometimes he fucking hates his life. hates that he can't be the thing people need him to be. hates that trying is so difficult, that it flings his stomach into space, like a throwing stone skipping across a still lake.
"so you don't go on dates, or anything."
"haven't tried."
"do you not want to?" you ask, and he can tell it's more of a genuine question than anything. you're curious about him, like you always are. it's more than he deserves, for all he can offer.
"doesn't make sense to."
"that's not what i asked."
it's not. and so katsuki listens as you ask your question again, and he really takes a moment to think.
considering the answer to your question leads him to his first date with you. and his second, and his third—his fourth, and he's keenly aware that his last fourth date ended with what he expects all dates are supposed to end with.
he takes you to the aquarium. because of all the fucking origami whale sharks. you still haven't given him one and it sticks in his craw like a bone. in front of the backlit tank that holds sharks of all types, shapes and sizes and teeth he's never pictured possible of a living creature before, he asks, "why sharks?"
you look at him, brow raised. "i don't know. they probably needed the biggest tank in the aquarium. and this looks like the biggest tank."
"no, dumbass—your sharks. the ones all over the fuckin' office."
"what, you don't like them?" you ask, but you're smiling, sly.
he shrugs. he thinks they're dumb as hell. he wants one to hang up at work, like the ones you've got hung up at your desk. "they're whatever. they clutter the fuck out of ei's office. and he's already got issues organizing." you've just made eijirou so many at his point, and it's getting ridiculous. "but what—are they easy to make, or something?"
you laugh a little. "no. not at all, actually." a whale shark swims by, its spotted hide shimmering in the tank's eerie blue lighting, and you watch it intently. "but it'd be boring if it was too easy."
this date ends with him walking you home from the aquarium a few blocks from your apartment and you smiling at him and telling him that you had a really great time, and he feels like a fucking freak because you don't even expect more. you don't wait for a kiss. don't look disappointed that he doesn't try to give you one. the way you look at him holds so much affection that he doesn't deserve and he has no idea how to reciprocate it to you, and somehow he lands on, "make me one."
"one what?" you ask, but he thinks you already know what he's asking. you like to play coy. he likes it when you play coy. when you're enjoying yourself.
"one of your little fuckin' paper things," he mutters, because admitting that he wants one of those dumbass sharks feels somehow demeaning. he doesn't want you to know how much he's wanted one. "ei's got a million of 'em."
your hand was on your door handle, but it falls to your side. he's keenly aware of its proximity to him. he doesn't feel that terrible ripping in his gut and its absence is almost frightening to him. your fingers tighten into a fist. it's cold out. "ah, and you're jealous?"
"no," he says, knee-jerk. "i just don't get why everyone gets one but me."
you smile when he says this and he could live in this image of you, delicate and small and made for him. he goes home and thinks about it until he falls asleep. thinks about it even beyond then, feels that strong breeze inside him tearing every leaf from its grounded perch.
here's the thing—nothing against jirou, but unlike his other fourth date, this one was enjoyable. more than. he loved watching you be amazed by the size of the whale sharks, and he loved watching you put a bunch of coins into the penny press and cranking the machine until one was squeezed out into the pattern you wanted, and he loved watching you lay your hand against the glass where the rubbery wings of a flood of stingrays battled for your attention, and—
he loved watching you. that's weird, right? he sounds like a fucking lunatic thinking that.
but he does. he hadn't realized until now how difficult it had been not only to touch people, but to look at them. maintaining eye contact, watching someone do a simple task out of interest instead of staring them down in an attempt to intimidate them. he's so much more fucked up than he thought but what makes it bearable is that he can do it with you. he can watch the way you enjoy things and feel like he's not intruding on something he shouldn't. without even trying, you make him feel welcome—wanted.
that's it. you make him feel wanted.
the realization affects him in a way he doesn't understand. at work the next day, when you smile at him over the top of the front desk, he feels something incredibly strong—something like instinct—that tells him to touch you. small. a thumb brushed across your cheek. his fingers grazing yours. he wants it in a way that can't be right because he's never wanted to touch someone like this.
he doesn't do it, but he thinks about it all day. your little smiles when you notice him watching you on your dates, the way your fingers graze your lips when you cover your laugh, the softness in the way you regard him. you're quiet, reserved, but when you laugh you laugh hard. he wants your soft, your quiet and your loud, he wants the feeling of your fingers on his lips, he wants your smallest smiles, all things he wishes he could fold up and keep and later display somewhere he can always see them. a school of paper fish, gaping mouths and drawn-on spots and such carefully pressed lines.
so on the eleventh date—(he knows it's ridiculous to count, but he's never spent this much time with one person before, not like this)—he reaches for your hand when you're walking alongside the bay, the air turning cold in the wake of the sunset that the two of you had just witnessed. that's romantic, you'd teased when he asked you to watch it with him. he'd rolled his eyes, shrugged you off.
but maybe he wanted it to be romantic. maybe he wanted to make this as normal as possible for you because nothing has been normal between the two of you so far.
you pull back when he reaches for you, as if on instinct. look up at him, confused, when he reaches out again. "katsuki..." you say, and it sounds as if he's done something wrong.
he tries not to let his brain spiral but thoughts drip inwards. water meeting a dented hull. what has he done this time? what else has he fucked up by being fundamentally wrong?
"you know..." you start, and you lose your words.
he thinks of kyoka, years ago. it's okay, you know. to not like it. he wonders if you'll still text him like she does.
your lips pull into a frown before you speak and katsuki can't breathe. "i was never gonna ask on my own because i know you don't like talking about things like this if you don't bring it up. but—um. katsuki—do you think i expect something from you?"
"huh?" he asks, dumb. breathing is still something he fails to do.
"i know that this is—different. i know you have some things going on that make the physical part hard for you." you look up at him so earnestly, and he loves looking at you. he loves looking at you and doesn't want to have to stop and he's worried that this is it. the moment he'll have to stop. you try to smile and it's small and he wants it all for himself. careful. delicate. secret, for him. "i'm not gonna lie to you. i don't know what a relationship without that kind of stuff looks like. but that doesn't mean i'm not willing to find out. it's—i don't need you to try to do something you think i want you to do."
"i'm not."
"it makes me feel a little sick, kat. honestly. it makes me feel like, i don't know—like i'm taking advantage of you, or something—"
"you're not."
"you don't have to do things like that to keep me around." you look flustered, eyes darting from his face to the skyline. "if you want me, i'm—you know."
it's okay, you know. "i don't know."
"i'm yours," you say, and cringe immediately at your words. "or like—i could be, you know, kind of whatever you wanted, if you—if that's what you want. would want."
katsuki can only remember a few times when his head was this quiet in the presence of someone else. when he trusted someone enough to let his mind go blank, to let himself act on instinct. "can i kiss you?"
you sigh. "this is what i was saying. i don't want you to—"
"no," he says, quiet, and he's closer to you than he's ever been. he likes the way you smell. he's not gonna apologize if that's weird. "i just want—god, i feel pathetic asking again. can i just—?"
just, just, just. just a touch, just a kiss, just a moment of your fucking time—it's all he wants. and he's never wanted like this. he's never trusted like this. his head has never quieted entirely because he's so sure that he's not going to disappoint you, or be something you don't actually want, or be wrong.
you've shown him that he can't be wrong with you, regardless of whether or not something within him is broken.
your lips are warm, a little chapped from the dry air, and he tries to remember what kissing chastely is but it's like something breaks in him further the second the two of you touch. his hands are cradling your face, his tongue is gliding against your tongue, his teeth are clacking against your teeth, and he knows the kiss is bad and wrong and messy but he suddenly needs it. he needs to feel you.
you make a noise against him and worry slices into his stomach before he realizes it's a quiet, breathy moan, and maybe you've been okay without the touch but that doesn't mean you don't enjoy it when you receive it. he can tell he hasn't made his boundaries clear enough—your hands circle his wrists, too cautious to go further, too hesitant to grip him like he thinks you want to. like he wants you to want to.
his teeth hit yours again and you laugh, and he pulls back, stomach tight. there's a hope in him that's ready to be torn.
you see it in his face—the fear. "i love kissing you," you blurt out, as if it's the only reassurance you can think of in the moment. "i mean—you're just." you laugh again, and he realizes it's nerves. you're just as nervous as he is. "can i—can we go somewhere warm? and maybe do this more? or—if this was enough—"
he's pulling you towards his apartment before you can get another word out.
kissing you is easy because you make him feel like it's relatively new for you as well. maybe that's how it feels for everyone every time, but he wouldn't know. he just feels comfortable with you. like you're not so much better than him, like you're not waiting to laugh at him when he fucks up, like you're touching him because you really want to.
so he takes you to his apartment and puts you on his couch and kisses you until your back is against the armrest and he's looming over you and you feel comfortable enough that your hands stray from his wrists to his shoulders to his hair and he didn't even know touching someone could feel like this.
put aside the fact that he's nearly finished in his fucking jeans three times just from your fingers running across his back, from the way you cup his cheek when he pulls back for air because he keeps forgetting to breathe—just having you close is intoxicating. he wants to bury his face in the curve of your shoulder, he wants to bite marks into your skin that'll stay vibrant for weeks, he wants to etch himself into you so deeply that he doesn't have to leave. these wants aren't even sexual—it's something about having you be his. i'm yours, you'd told him, and he hadn't even known that it would be exactly what he needed to hear.
he's in love with you, which isn't shocking to him, but he knows he shouldn't be in love with you yet because people that aren't fucked up in the head don't feel shit like this so quickly. he's not gonna tell you this for a very long time, but he knows—so completely and confidently—that he will reach a point when he can tell you.
"you sure you want this?" he asks, breathy, between kisses.
you stop kissing him, brows raised in surprise. "katsuki, we don't... this is a lot for one night. we can take it slow, still."
"that's—i'm not talking about that." he gives in, then—lets himself bury his face in the crook of your neck, lets himself breathe in deep, lets himself find your hands and intertwine your fingers, and you can probably feel that he's hard as fucking metal for you but that's not what's important right now. it sure as hell makes it awkward to try to have a serious conversation, though. "you sure you wanna deal with all... you know. my stuff."
"are you sure you wanna deal with all of my stuff?" you counter, and he pulls back to look at you. kissed rotten and smiling. "of course i want to deal with it. i like you."
and he likes you too. god, he likes you so fucking much.
the next morning, long after you've left for home, he finds a little orange whale shark hidden behind the alarm clock on his bedside table, stars in the place of eyes, and the trace of you is enough to make him feel warm. to hope that over time his apartment becomes full of the little paper creatures until his home is its own aquarium, until everywhere he looks is a memory of all you've brought him—pieces of you, perfectly arranged and delicately folded by your careful hands, much too gentle to tear.

"Um, hold up, Astro One."
The space station seemed to constrict around your body, the stale, metallic air scratching your lungs. Your legs ache for the support of the ground, but you make yourself stand still and wait for further instruction, even though every fiber of your being wants to leave.
"We've done a scan of your ship, standard protocol, and we found something. I'm calling for a more thorough investigation."
"Wha...why? For what?"
You hear someone sigh on the other end, and you can practically see the operation rubbing their forehead in exhaustion. It's been a long decade, for everyone involved. All you want is to see your husband again, have some real food instead of the colorless, flavorless shit that you've been consuming.
"We've found an Unidentified, Avery."
Your heart drops into your stomach. The only time Mission Control uses and astronauts real name is when something really goes down. Trying to compose yourself, you nod and inhale another gulp of the rust-tinted air.
"Okay. What do you need me to do?"
"Stay on the ship, Astro. My team is coming on now, and they'll just be searching the area where the blip showed up."
There was a silence on the other end, just a beat too long, so that you start to think they've disconnected.
"Have there been any odd things you've noticed? Any voices, or seeing things that weren't there?"
You think for a moment. You've heard the stories of deep space astronauts who've gone crazy from the loneliness, but you've prided yourself on not joining that club. The only thing you've done to help the loneliness is....
"No, I don't think so. But I have, um, started talking to someone. An imaginary friend of sorts. Just to keep me company."
You wait for the operator to continue talking, to assure you that everything is going to be okay, that you can go home and be with the people you love for a long time. You know that finding an Unidentified on your ship would surely doom you to at least another year on this hellhole, but at the same time, it won't happy. It can't happen.
"Mission Control? You still there?"
The phone was silent.
"Is this imaginary friend a little less than 6 feet tall with red hair?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
Another silence, this time longer.
"Shit."
You’re an astronaut sent on a solo deep space mission. To combat the loneliness, you’ve created an imaginary friend who you interact with every day. Upon finally returning, mission control stops you. An unidentified lifeform has been detected on your ship.

Aemond X Reader: The cowardly king
a/n: hotd has been giving me some inspo for writting i'm hopping it will pull me out of writers block 🙃
Warnings: Spoilers for Ep 3, smut, rough sex, angry sex, whores, being treated badly by men, flinching, talks of being hit, Aegon being a little shit (like always), female reader, no use of y/n
Word count: 1,6K
His voice drifted across the room causing your ears to perk up. You turn your head in a swift motion searching from him in the crowd. Your eyes find his platinum blond hair in an instant. He’s being followed by three men, one of which looks around the room in despair. You rise from your seat, ignoring the shouts of the men you’d been talking to. You’d get punished for bad service later but you didn’t care at the moment. There was something more important to deal with right now.
You watched from the corner of your eye as King Aegon pulled open the various curtains that give some of the customers a bit more privacy to enjoy themselves. Your bare feet pad across the floor in a rush, desperately trying to get to the curtain before Aegon. You're so close, just a few more steps and you’ll reach it. But then one of the girls bumps into you causing you to lose your balance. You stumble gripping the nearby table. The girl comes your way apologizing as she helps you stand straight but you aren’t paying attention to her. Your eyes narrowed in on the curtain Aegon has just gotten too. You try to move quickly to distract him but it's already too late.
You watch in horror as the King pulls the curtain open to reveal none other than his brother Aemond, in the arms of an older woman. You stop in your spot, body frozen as you listen to Aegon's shrieks of laughter. Aemond sits up immediately, not daring to make eye contact with his brother who continues to laugh like a loon. You watch the exchange with a deep pain in your heart. You knew why Aemond chose to stay with the madam and you knew it had little to do with sex and much more to do with something he lacked in his life. A mothers touch. You don’t pay attention to the conversation, focused only on the slumped frame of prince Aemond. You wish to hug him but you know better than to move from your spot. You watch him rise from his spot turning to face the room for the first time.
“Any whore would do.”
That's when his eyes catch your frame. He stares at you for a moment, his eye seeping into your soul. For a moment he thinks you might be enjoying the show his brother has put on but when he sees the clear disgust in your face he knows he’d misjudged you. He walks out of the room, unafraid to show every part of himself to the people that surrounded you. You waited a moment before going after him.
Aemond’s long legs allowed him to take large steps, causing you to have to walk quite fast to catch up to him. You have a feeling he doesn’t know where he’s going. Being caught off guard by his brother seemed to have destabilized him a bit. You knew it wasn’t smart to let him leave in such a state. There was no telling who would suffer the consequences.
“Aemond, wait!”
You didn’t know if he hadn’t heard you or he was simply choosing to ignore you but you weren’t giving up that easily. You forced yourself to walk faster despite the pain that the stone beneath your bare feet was causing you. You managed to get closer to Aemond, your hand reaching out to grab his shoulder. You managed to touch him lightly but not to stop him from walking.
“Leave me.”
“Aemond you know i can-”
“Leave me!”
He’d whipped around so fast you’d barely had time to grab onto the wall behind you. His face was mare inches from your, his hand gripping onto your wrist in a brutal manner. You looked up at him in horror, your shoulders taunt with fear. Aemond raised his hand, the action causing you to close your eyes. You prepared yourself for the blow of his palm to your face.
It never came.
Aemond stared at you, he took in the way your body prepared itself from the pain you imagined you were about to go through. It was only then that he noticed his hand was raised and that you’d interpreted it as him preparing to hit you. His eyebrows furrowed at the realization. You’d thought he was about to hurt you and the first instinct you had was to take it.
You wondered if he’d only hit you the one time or if he would take out all his anger on you. Men had laid their hands on you before but they hadn’t been trained in the way you imagined Aemond was. You expected him to be far stronger than the men you’d dealt with before. So you could only imagine that the pain he would bring you would be far worse.
Time seemed to pass slower, his hand had not made contact with your face yet and it seemed to be taking far too long to do so. Slowly you opened your eyes, preparing yourself to close them again if necessary. Only, when you looked at Aemond again you saw fear in his eyes. You looked at him like a wounded animal and he looked at you like a child who didn't realize its own strength. His lips opened slightly allowing a whisper of your name to slip through them. You watched as he slowly lowered his hand until he could cup your cheek. You looked up at him with wide eyes, trying to figure out his next move. Never would you have expected what he did next.
Aemond crashed his lips into yours in desperation, his body pushing you up against the wall. His chest rubbed against your breasts causing your nipples to harden. A small whine made its ways out of your lips as Aemond ran his tongue against your mouth. You allowed him what he was asking for, opening your mouth so that his tongue could tangle with yours. His hands found your waist, fingers digging into your hip with an unnecessary amount of strength. Aemond tugged at your hair causing you to groan as he unlatched your lips from his. He stared down at you for a moment, his chest heaving with angry breaths. Your pupils were shot wide, the sudden desire Aemond had managed to pull out of you becoming clear.
“Turn around.”
You did as he asked, turning so your back was to his chest. He shifted your hair to the side giving a bit to your neck. You let out a moan at the feeling. Aemond was seething but it wasn’t because of you. He was enraged by his brother and needed to take his frustration out on someone, one way or another. It seemed this way at least he could enjoy himself a bit.
You felt him move himself against you, his dick prodding at your ass. You widen your legs a bit, trying to make it easier for him. Aemond lined his dick up with your entrance before pushing into you with a harsh thrust. Your mouth fell open at the sudden intrusion. Without giving you so much as a second to breathe Aemond began pistoling into you. You couldn’t help but moan out his name as he moved against you, your hands moving to hold onto his head. He rested his face on your neck, allowing his grunts of pleasure to become less obvious. He continued to chase his high, not bothering to help you get to your own. Your pleasure wasn’t really on his mind at the moment but it wasn’t an issue. You were used to it. Just another part of the job. After one harsh thrust Aemond came with a groan, his seed spilling down your thigh as he held you in place.
He pulled out of you causing you to let out a small whine. You didn’t try to move from your spot, afraid that perhaps your sudden movements might anger him. You tried to listen to his footsteps moving away from you but you heard nothing. Aemond looked at you, his eyes falling on the bruised he’d left on your skin from his harsh grip. He called out your name, causing you to turn your head to the side. He grabbed your face forcing you to turn to face him completely. You stared up at his eyes, your mind still a bit foggy.
“I would never hurt you.”
His eye ran down to the bruise on your hip before he looked back at you.
“At least not in the way you thought I would.”
“Yes My Prince.”
Aemond watched you for a moment longer before turning to leave. You watched him get his clothes back on before exiting the place. You couldn’t help but keep staring at the spot he once had been.
“Guess he meant it.”
Aegon's voice filled your ears causing you to turn to look in his direction. He gave you a sly grin.
“Any whore will do.”
The right thing to do was to bow your head to him. He was the king after all. But you couldn’t care less. He’d just embarrassed his brother in front of many simply because he could. You stared at him, watching as he continued to smile at you. You turned on your heels making your way away from his prying eyes.
If it was up to you, you’d have his head on a stick.

A/N: this is just a short little thing i’ve had in my head for a while, and the writer’s block is finally clearing up a little so i’ve been able to write more again :) hope you like it! - mod angel
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Summary: You and Spencer finally have an evening off, and are happy to spend it together. But nights off are never a guarantee when you work at the BAU. (based on 9x23)
CW: suggestive but not explicit behavior, reader gets a little wine drunk, mild discussion of sex lives.
~~~
You were enjoying a nice, quiet dinner at home, soft music playing in the background. You were a little dressed up, wearing a casual dress and some jewelry to match, trying to pretend it was a date night and not just spaghetti and wine you got from the grocery store. Making the best out of the little time you had to plan this.
Spencer was sitting across from you, smiling as he held his glass of water out to you. “To finally having a night off?”
You smiled back at him, clinking his cup with your wine glass. “To finally having you all to myself tonight.” You winked at him as you took a sip of wine. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it made the night a little more special.
He took a sip of his water, gesturing to your wine glass. “Be careful with that, you turn into trouble when you have too much wine.” His words sounded like a warning, but his tone was teasing, a grin on his face.
At that, you smiled mischievously, taking a bigger sip of wine. “I think I’m allowed to cause a little trouble on our day off.” You put your glass down, picking up your fork to start eating your dinner. “We deserve to have a little fun tonight.”
Dinner wasn’t much different than it usually was when you two were home together, but it felt nice to be able to sit at the dinner table across from each other after dealing with so much work lately. There was light flirting back and forth between you and Spencer through your meal, setting the mood for the evening. Every sip of wine you took made you feel a little more flushed and bubbly, making the flirting start escalating a bit. You could feel yourself noticing more things about Spencer as he ate across from you: the way his fingers moved around his fork as he twirled it in his plate, the bob of his Adam’s apple as he swallowed his food, the way his lips parted when he took a sip of water…
“That’s a dangerous look you’re giving me, you know.”
You were snapped out of your thoughts when Spencer spoke, a smirk on his face as he set his fork down. You met his eyes, matching his smirk, reaching out to grab his hand from across the table. “Is it?” You asked innocently, starting to trace patterns in the palm of his hand, making him shudder softly.
“It is,” he replied, his voice soft and deep. “I think you know what you’re doing when you look at me like that.” He slowly stood up, walking over to you and tilting your chin up with his finger. “You better be ready to take responsibility for this.”
You stood up, reaching up to tangle your fingers in his hair, bringing your faces close, your lips stopping just short of touching his. “Oh, I’m definitely planning on taking responsibility…” One of your fingers started to trail down his face, slowly tracing over his bottom lip. You could see his face start to heat up a bit at your touch, his breath hitching. “If you’re ready, that is,” you said in a quiet, breathy tone.
That little touch seemed to set him off, as he grabbed your face and crashed his lips with yours, bumping you into the table with the abrupt force.
Suddenly, you both were stumbling through the living room, hands all over each other as you made your way to the bedroom, closing the door behind you. You fell back onto the bed, Spencer taking you into his arms after shrugging off the shirt you mostly unbuttoned on your way here.
His lips were on yours again, the weight of his body starting to push down on you as he settled on top of you. He started pushing down the straps of your dress, his lips moving down to your neck. He started peppering kisses there, quickly at first, before they started getting slower and deeper.
“You look really good in this dress, you know that?” His voice was husky as his tongue met your skin, earning a lustful sigh from you in response. “So pretty…” he whispered between kisses, starting to gently bite down on your neck.
“Spence…” you moaned out, already turning into a mess underneath him, even though you were still fully dressed. The wine mixed with his sweet words and lustful bedroom eyes, you could hardly stand to wait anymore. Your hands tangled in his hair as his teeth grazed your skin, his eyes closed in concentration as he felt your body react underneath him. His lips started slowly trailing downward from your neck, starting to move under your collar…
Suddenly, you were startled by the sound of your phone going off, making you both groan.
“Please tell me it’s not what I think it is,” you pleaded as Spencer stood up to look at your phone. He held it out to you, showing you a text indicating that you had to go into work for a case. You grumbled as you sat up, readjusting your dress. “I swear to god, I am quitting this job. I mean it.”
Spencer laughed, opening the closet to start putting on a purple button-down shirt. “Relax, we’ll get some time to ourselves at the hotel later.” He took out a tie, putting it around his neck as he reached out his hand to help you up out of bed. He placed a quick kiss on your forehead. “Maybe we can continue this then?”
You sigh, starting to rifle through drawers to throw on a sweater over your dress. There wasn’t really time to find a whole new outfit. “I hope so, but I don’t know if I realistically see that happening.”
The two of you rushed to get dressed and ready, knowing you needed to be out the door as soon as possible. You skipped brushing your hair, tying it up for now and just throwing your hairbrush in your go-bag with everything else you needed. Spencer was pulling on a cardigan as he reached out to hug you from the side, kissing your temple before grabbing his messenger bag and throwing it over his shoulder. “Ready?” He asked as you started walking through the door.
“I guess,” you replied, rolling your eyes. Spencer reached down to kiss your cheek as he locked the apartment door behind you, making you smile. “The hotel rooms better be nice,” you added, grabbing his hand as you walked to your car.
“Agreed,” he replied, laughing lightly as you both entered the car, pulling out of the parking lot and heading for the office.
…
You were walking fast after getting off the elevator, rushing to meet up with everyone, when you heard some of the team members talking.
“So…” You heard JJ’s voice down the hall. “We get Henry to bed, and, y’know, we’re about to finally have some alone time with mommy and daddy, and…” She trailed off, and as you entered the room, you saw her roll her eyes from afar. “You guys know the rest,” she finished, sounding annoyed.
“Ah, trying to dust off the ol’ cobwebs,” Derek joked, laughing.
Penelope hit him on the shoulder. “Inappropriate!” She exclaimed, before turning back to JJ. “Seriously, though, how long has it been?”
You laughed, seeing her intense face as you walked closer to joining everyone. Always so curious. Or nosy, you could say. But it was a part of her that was endearing.
“Too long,” JJ replied flatly.
You finally reached the group, putting your stuff down and greeting everyone.
JJ looked over at you and Spencer, a slight smirk on her face. “Well, looks like I wasn’t the only one interrupted,” she remarked, noticing how you both still looked a little disheveled after rushing to get here.
You groaned, rolling your eyes. “Bite me,” you replied sarcastically.
She gestured over to you, pointing at your neck. “Looks like someone already did,” she snickered.
You looked down to see a small bruise starting to form on your neck. You didn’t really look in the mirror while you were getting ready, so you didn’t notice the mark there.
You looked pointedly at Spencer as your hand went to your neck. He gave you an apologetic look. “Sorry,” he mouthed silently, looking a little guilty.
You quickly took your hair down, grabbing the brush from your bag and starting to smooth your hair down. You could see Penelope open her mouth to ask probing questions. Everyone seemed to be too curious about your relationship, asking way too many questions when you finally told everyone you and Spencer were dating. Especially Penelope. Thankfully, she was cut off before she could say anything.
“Do we know what the case is?” Alex asked, letting you drop the subject of your evening activities and shift the focus to work. You snuck one last glance at Spencer, who smiled at you and reached out for your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze as you settled into your new evening plans.
Hello!! Y'all must be wondering what I am up to and what I've been doing so far :) All you need to know is that I am still working tirelessly on this IF, albeit at a much slower pace due to being flooded with college assignments and projects. I've made some good progress in building the new world of TNA! A great deal of things have changed and I truly hope that you all will come to love the remake as I have.
I've been working on a new ui for the game and with a completely new archive and profile for MC and the ROs. I've been in a bit of a writers block lately I've been focusing on expanding the world building to keep my mind buzzing.
As a show of good faith and an apology for being so quiet on tumblr, here's a little sneak peak of the archive and the new world of TNA!
Hello, dears ❤ I do apologize for the lack of content lately (Moving to Germany and getting everything settled, on top of writer´s block and taking German lessons is the culprit, I swear 😂) BUT, I finally got around to writing that scene where Reader has to serve Alcina tea while wearing a remote control vibrator 👀This was written with Sasha in mind (if you can´t tell lol) and I do hope some of you will enjoy! ❤
TW: Slight degradation
Word count: 2,054
The castle clock hadn't quite made it to nine yet when you found yourself waiting dutifully outside of your employer´s office. You had known better than to enter the large room at a time other than exactly when she requested you to. Being early at Castle Dimitrescu was considered just as much of an offense as being late, with just as dire consequences depending on the Countess´mood. So, you stood there, quietly, obediently, waiting for the old steel bells in the clocktower to strike nine.
You had even made a point to make sure that everything placed on the silver tray in your hands was precisely as she liked it. Your uniform had been freshly pressed, your hair as neatly done as you could get it, and the small toy that she had commanded you to wear that was nestled deep within your core - while albeit, a little uncomfortably - was nice and securely settled in.
The sound of the first bell almost made you jump, nearly knocking the antique silver teapot over in turn. You rolled your eyes at yourself and straightened out your vest. You were admittedly more nervous than you´d expected to be - but also excited. Your arousal already beginning to pool, pulsing against the firmness of the toy. You found your heart all but a flutter as the final bell finally struck, forcing a slight flush across your cheeks.
With a short exhale you knocked softly on the large door.
“You may enter, pet.”
Her voice was warm, aged - like a finely distilled whiskey. The sound of it alone brought an even deeper heat to your cheeks, and you knew right then and there that this wasn't going to be easy. Not a single drop spilled, she had said. Not a single one.
And she had meant it.
You entered quickly and without pause, eyes adjusting to the bright morning sun as it shown brilliantly into the normally darkened room. Luminous rays of warmth basking the Countess in a dusting of cladden gold.
“Right on time, pet. As always.” She smirked, looking up at you over the rim of her reading glasses - her desk covered in a mess of invoices and letters for the day ahead. You cleared your throat.
“Of course, my lady.”
She carefully placed the paper she had been reading on top of the others before allowing the smirk on her lips to curl a little deeper. “Mh, obedient little thing, hm? So eager to please.”
You swallowed hard, mouth suddenly dry. Fuck, she wasn’t going to make this easy, was she? Still, you smirked a little in turn, walking closer to the desk, your stride slightly staggered.
“I do believe that's how you prefer me, Countess, is it not?”
She chuckled. “Feeling rather cheeky this morning, I see.”
At this you only grinned, placing the serving tray on the one empty spot on her desk and raised the teapot in your hands. “Tea?”
She chuckled again and nodded, leaning back into her chair - with one perfectly shaped eyebrow arched in your direction as her gaze raked you over, watching you. She was absolutely stunning in the fresh morning light - nearly evanescent. Her raven locked hair perfectly styled and a tight fitted, white collared shirt in place of her normal everyday dress. It was cuffed at her forearms and hugged her body quite exquisitely. In that moment, you were certain the small toy that remained in your core was already sufficiently drenched, its presence becoming ever more noticeable as you began to set out the tea.
“I'm assuming you haven’t forgotten our deal?”
She traced her fingers down your arm and your core immediately clenched, forcing you to adjust your stance.
“O-of course not, my lady.”
“Not a single drop.. Or there will be consequences.”
You nodded. “Yes, my lady.”
She smirked.
“Though, something tells me you'd rather enjoy that.” The chuckle that now danced darkly across her lips was dripping in desire, much like the juices that had already begun to drip from your core. And the sight of the small black remote appearing casually between her fingers only fueled that.
Gods, she was not playing fair and she knew-
“Mph-!”
You let out an embarrassingly needy moan the moment you felt the warm, abrupt vibration deep inside you, your knees almost immediately buckling.
Fuck. Why had you agreed to this again??
Because you loved it, that's why. You loved the effect she had on you and just how needy she could get you. You loved how aroused you already were, knowing just how much higher she'd eventually take you. With your core soaking wet and absolutely aching for her.
And this, she knew.
“Mh.. you look a little flushed, my pet. Is the tea too hot for you?”
Oh, that devilish smirk as she leaned back into her chair even more, eyes bright with a teasing glint while she idly allowed the remote to dance between two fingers. You cursed softly under your breath before straightening your back, teapot still in hand.
“Quite the contrary, my lady. The only thing too hot in this room, is you.” You replied with a smug smile, making her chuckle.
“Always with that silver tongue of yours.”
“Last I checked you quite enjoyed my tong-”
Another wave of pleasure erupted in your core, this time even stronger than the last. Your hands held firm around the warm metal as you moaned needlessly, wantingly, the slacks of your uniform growing more soaked by the second. You were panting by the time the vibration was cut short, which only brought forth another chuckle.
“That I do, pet. Though, it does have the tendency to get you into trouble, no?”
You cursed again, this time wiping the sweat from your brow before rising back to your full height. Every inch of your body now screaming for more, for release. For her fingers to replace the all too small toy that resided deep within you. You took a steadying breath and smiled, holding the steaming water over her cup.
“I s-suppose it does, my lady. How would you like your tea this morning?”
You tried your hardest to remain focused, but your eyes were locked on the tiny remote in her hand. Watching it's every movement, waiting for any indication that she was about to press it. That was until she cleared her throat, bringing your attention swiftly back to her.
“Eyes on me.” She ordered.
You nodded. “Yes, my lady. Sorry.”
You straightened out your vest again, teapot in hand. Your cheeks a deep crimson and your underwear nearly completely soaked through. She watched you intently, a scorching gaze that never wavered and only made the heated place between your legs throb relentlessly. Her lips parting ever so slightly before she spoke, legs coming to cross in front of her.
“Two cubes of sugar this morning, pet. And a generous pour from my flask.”
“As you wish, my lady.”
“Oh, and one of those intricate designs of yours I love so much.” She smirked. “Expertly executed, of course.”
You swallowed and gave her a nod. “O-of course. Any specific design in mind?”
“Mh.. surprise me.” She replied with a wink.
You nodded again and moved a little closer to her desk, a slight tremor to your hand as you reached for the small silver tongs for her sugar. One small clink into the cup followed by another, breathing a sigh of relief as you moved onto the flask. Though the moment the dark crimson liquid began to pour from the opening your whole body jerked in pleasure. The vibration, albeit a much softer one, was still plenty enough to send a wave of ecstasy across your body.
You bit your bottom lip, nearly hard enough to draw blood. Your legs trembling as it became harder and harder to focus on anything other than the deep ache in your core. You moved your hand slowly, thighs clenched shut as you continued to pour the dark liquid into the cup before capping it off and shakily placing it back on the tray. A staggered exhale as the toy swiftly shut off again.
“Very good, pet. Continue.”
You nodded through a whimper and shifted from one foot to another, your desire now trickling down your inner thigh - your uniform becoming ever more stifling. You could only imagine how flushed your face was, if the rest of you held any indication, that was. Your entire body felt as if it set a flame. As if you were the match and Alcina the strike. You straightened your back once more, this time a little more wobbly and picked up the teapot.
The look on your Mistress's face was entirely unfair. Smug, and knowing. Nostrils slightly flared as she could undoubtedly smell just how aroused you were - how utterly drenched. You steadied your hands, keeping them both firmly on the now cooling metal as you slowly began to tip it. The warm aroma of Alcina’s favorite tea wafting through the air. A predator’s gaze encased in swirls of steam as she watched you - intensely. A swift flash of crimson in her smile as she pressed the little black button yet again.
“F-fu-”
“Language. You're doing so good.”
“Mmmph-”
A muffled whimper as your teeth sank hard into your bottom lip, thighs clenched even more than before. You did your best to hold yourself steady. With the only thing working in your favor being the master of your craft - the ability to serve to no end.
Especially when it came to Alcina.
Your legs shook, body trembled. Core aching in a way that you had never experienced before. You so badly wanted to come for her, to feel the exquisite release of pleasure that only she could give you. But still, you held strong. Feeling the simple fabric of your slacks grow wetter by the second as you dutifully fill her cup with warm tea. Leaving just enough room for the foam at the top.
By the time the vibration came to a halt within your aching walls, you were a panting, shaking mess. Hair a muss and beads of sweat dripping down your all too heated face. You honestly weren't sure how much more you could take. If the heartbeat that throbbed so strongly in your core had anything to say about it, you'd likely come the moment she pressed that button again. An act that would surely get you punished. A punishment that would surely be worth it.
Your hands trembled as you placed the teapot back onto the tray, breath erratic as you looked up to catch her gaze.
And that smirked. That damned smirk.
“So dutiful, pet.” She said coyly. “You never do disappoint, do you?”
Her tongue skated over her bottom lip and wetted it, making you groan. She chuckled yet again.
“Almost there now. Just one more step.”
You nodded and quickly added the foamed cream to the top of her cup. She wanted something intricate, she had said, so you knew you couldn't get away with your usual simple heart. And your mind was far too fogged to think of anything creative at the moment. So, you picked up your small metal tool and got to work, brow furrowed as you tried to concentrate. An act that was all the more difficult when the Countess rose from her seat, remote in hand. Her scent even more intoxicating than usual. Her mere proximity fueling the ever throbbing pulse between your legs.
“I don't think you've ever smelt so aroused before, my pet.” She whispered, leaning in so her bosom was directly eye level. The ebb and flow of her chest, her warm breath across your ear, it was almost all too much.
You took a deep breath and steadied.
“A-and whose fault is that?” You replied quietly.
“Oh. I'm well aware of my affect on you, dear.” She chuckled, leaning in even further. “One could say I revel in it.”
You whimpered but held your hand steady, intent on finishing the work at hand. You were almost finished as it was, with one or two lines left to g-
“Mmmph-!”
There it was again, that all encompassing heat. That warm vibration engulfing your core just as you'd finished the final line on the crest of House Dimitrescu in her cup. She looked down at it, proud and knowing, and leaned her body against yours. You turned fully in her arms, wanting to feel every inch of her against you.
“Such a good, obedient pet.” Words whispered against your lips before she took your mouth in hers, kissing you deeply. Large hands roaming over your body before resting on the hem of your pants to unbutton them. “Such a shame it'll have to go to waste, hm?”
She kissed you again before you could even reply. The soaked fabric of your slacks and underwear quickly discarded to the floor as her thigh came to rest between your legs. You moaned, whimpered, clawed at her back as you begged for release. The toy in your core now at its highest vibration as she pressed her thigh against your clit.
“F-fuck.. Alcina.. please.”
Her only response was a soft growl and the subtle rock of her thigh, moving deliciously against your most sensitive areas. A prickling heat that built slowly across your body with each movement. With tears streaming down your face and your nails digging into her skin.
“P-please.. I need to.. I need to come for you.”
She growled into your swollen lips and pushed her thigh into you even harder, forcing you to cry out.
“Be a good slut and come for me then.” She hissed.
The next moments that came were all but a blur. Waves of unrelenting pleasure crashing over you as your whole body trembled and shook. As your desire shot out from your core and soaked the soft skin of Alcina's thigh. You weren't even sure how many orgasms she’d given you, or just how long she’d kept you there. With a cold cup of tea resting next to you on the desk as your chest heaved in pants. The silhouette of her leaning over you as you felt yourself begin to fade. Body limp as the darkness swiftly took over you, with the small toy still nestled deep within your core.
“Go out with me.”
His voice rasped against your skin, his face mere centimetres from yours; lips even closer. Puffs of the cold air sprouted at each hitched breath, every impatient inhale. Rain drizzled around you, encasing your frames like a protective barrier. The world was no one else’s but yours. The streetlamp cast a warm light against your figures; in the spotlight of your own stage. His hand brushes your hair behind your ear, his touch as light as a feather. It sends shivers down your spine. Your pounding heart leaped from your chest, getting stuck between the walls of your throat. His eyes bore through your frame, keeping yours locked in its grasp.
“I-”
“CUT!”
The muffled, yet heavily amplified voice of your director shocked your ears through the megaphone. Well, yours and the rest of the staff that surrounded you and your co-star. You jolted, eyes quickly scanning the filming set, complete with the fake rain machines, fans, and stage lights. Eventually they landed on your director, whose ears were practically puffing out steam.
“You’re late again, y/n!” The director irritatedly reminds you, pinching the bridge of his nose. You wince, beating yourself up for your stupid mistake. He only sighs, his face growing less red, his tone becoming more forgiving. “Memorise your queues, okay? Now, that’s a wrap for today. Good work!”
After your director finally dismisses the clamour of staff members and actors, clacks of footsteps suddenly peak from behind you. You only roll your eyes. You knew exactly who it was, and he didn’t deserve even an ounce of your attention.
Park Sunghoon. The man you hated most.
The man you were forced to work with for this stupid idol drama.
“If you needed my help you could’ve just said so,” Sunghoon crossed his arm, his face cold and indifferent. You scowled. His words may have seemed innocent, helpful even. But his snarky tone made it overwhelmingly clear; his words were nothing but harsh insults.
Park Sunghoon was just heartless like that.
“Piss off, will you? I didn’t have enough time!” You were telling the truth; your schedule had been jam packed with dance practice and promotional events—the typical life of an idol. You puff your chest out like some dumb chicken, only earning a huff from Sunghoon’s lips as he steps closer to you. You couldn’t help but notice how much he towered over your frame with his lanky one. How small locks of his hair hung above his eyes like curtains. He probably got a kick out of it all. The thought alone made you sick.
“And whose fault is that?” Sunghoon only cocked an eyebrow.
Mine, you thought bitterly. You hated when he was right.
“Why don’t you rehearse the scene where you learn to shut up?” You spat back instead. With that, you spun away from him, retreating to your change room within the filming set. Leaving Park Sunghoon to fend for himself.
Truth be told, you didn't always hate him. Years ago, you and Sunghoon were actually close. Best friends, in fact. The both of you grew up together, spent your school years together, and you shared the dream of stardom and fame. You both wanted to be idols, and so you auditioned for the same company.
Amidst all of this, the two of you swore on one sole promise; never leave the other behind. To never put the likes of stardom and fame before your friendship. Of course you were able to hold your end of the bargain. But Sunghoon? He couldn’t quite say the same.
It was two years into training with the company. Sunghoon had grown awfully distant from you. For some, the changes were subtle, practically unnoticeable. You, however, certainly noticed, but you never thought much of it. Always hiding your feelings under the guise of your busy, clashing schedules. Always making excuses for his heartless actions—until Sunghoon told you he was leaving the company.
You remembered it as if it was yesterday. His eyes held no emotion. His posture was calm, laid back. Another, bigger company, was offering him a higher pay and a debut date that was fast approaching. You thought it was crazy. You were sure he would never switch so easily. He wouldn’t break the promise the two of you made years ago. He wouldn’t betray you in just the blink of an eye.
You were wrong.
He announced that he would officially leave in a week, but his dorm was empty in just two days—it was no surprise that he lied. Nevertheless, in those same two days, you vowed to make an enemy out of Park Sunghoon; the man heartless enough to betray you.
And yet, you were here. Stuck as his co-star for an idol drama you didn’t even want. Just to listen to your company's orders. It irked you beyond belief.
You haphazardly threw your purse over your shoulder, adjusting the hem of your hoodie before heading out the door to meet your manager.
ENHYPEN’s Park Sunghoon and HEARTBEAT’s Ahn y/n to star in upcoming drama
You found yourself scowling at the article in front of you, the glare of the laptop screen burning white against the darkness of your bedroom. With a huff, your head sunk further into the plush of the pillow, your frame burying itself into the covers. Maybe then, you could hide away from this cursed reality. This cursed world in which you were stuck working with the man you loathed.
The article purged open the gates of your mind, allowing memories to seep through. Unwanted memories of Park Sunghoon. Staying up past your curfews just to practise together; ‘practising’ your vocal lessons at the karaoke bar down the street from your dorms; secretly rigging group games so the two of you ended up together. Now, they were all just bittersweet memories that plagued your mind.
You wouldn’t be lying if you said you missed those times. A small sliver of you wouldn’t mind miraculously travelling back in time just to see your best friend again. To relive those memories once again.
Nevertheless, the Park Sunghoon you were forced to work with was not your childhood friend. In your eyes, he was a complete stranger.
Throwing a stuffie at your laptop, you bit the inside of your cheek, tucking your face into your knees. Even when you first reunited for the first day of shooting, that asshole didn’t even bother to apologise. You could barely recognize him.
“Throwing your stuffies at his picture won’t get rid of him, you know.” A voice rang in your ears. Kiri—your team’s main dancer and your roommate—slumped against the doorframe with her arms crossed against her chest. Kiri inches forward sitting on the edge of your bed as you huff a groan. “It should. You’d think we’d have the technology for it by now.”
“You think anyone’s petty enough to make something like that?”
“Not petty. Efficient,” you crossed your arms.
Kiri leaned back, tilting her head. “How are you two ever gonna work together if you can’t even stand his picture?”
“I don’t know! They probably should’ve thought of that before slapping our names on a contract neither of us even wanted!” Your arms flailed in defeat.
“Maybe it’s a sign?” Kiri hesitated. “Like—the universe wanted the two of you to make up, or something.”
Your figure erupts in laughter, but Kiri’s unflinching demeanour suggests that she wasn’t trying to make you laugh with a joke. Your giggles fizzle out within seconds. “You’re serious?”
Kiri only huffs, shooting up from her seat. “I dunno, but just give him a chance. Maybe Sunghoon changed for the better?”
You watched Kiri’s back as she trekked out of your room. You only scoffed. Now that was something impossible.
Despite the relentless physical activities, and clamour of people within the building, going to the gym was one of your favourite pastimes. It allowed you and your teammates to unwind after a long day of idol activities. All of your worries and troubles—washed away by a quick jog on the treadmill.
Right now, you needed that more than anything.
“Gonna run today?” Kiri probed, sinking into a wide leg stretch and twisting her shoulders around. You hum positive, crossing your arm over in a stretch. “Yeah, I need to clear my head.”
Kiri only nodded, yanking dumbbells off of a community rack before sinking into the first squat of her first session. You trek a few paces over to the treadmill aisles, sliding your headphones over your ears and swiping at your phone screen to play some music. Soon enough, you were off, your heels and toes pressing repeatedly onto the platform, your heart rate rising at a steady pace. Step by step, your mind was gradually clearing, de-stressing. Like a cloud flying away from an otherwise bluesky, all of your worries surrounding your idol activities, that stupid drama, and that stupid Park Sunghoon whisked themselves away. For once in what seemed like forever, you were at peace.
“y/n.”
A voice roughly jolted you back to reality. Hastily, you push your headphones off, hooking them around your neck before glancing around to find the owner of the voice. The voice that ruined your peaceful evening.
You choke.
Park Sunghoon stood before you, his hands shoved in his pockets as he leaned back in a nonchalant manner. You took note of his black shirt; the way it was tight enough to see his chest peeking through, the way his short sleeves were rolled up, exposing his biceps. You cursed at yourself for looking.
You simply stood there, eyes wide and spilling from their sockets. Your hand snakes up, fiddling with the treadmill dashboard to stop the equipment from moving. You cling onto the handle bars; maybe for stability, maybe for protection. You weren’t sure. You glance to the side, another figure taking up your view. He looked vaguely familiar; you’ve probably seen him during live shows before. A gulp runs down your throat as you collect yourself.
“The hell are you doing here?”
Sunghoon crossed his arms, your eyes glance at his pecks. Bruh. “I came here to work out. What’s wrong with that?”
“Isn’t there another gym near you?”
“This is my gym. I go here regularly.”
Your brows furrow. “What? This is my gym! I never see you here.”
“That’s a you problem,” Sunghoon tilted his head coyly, earning a groan from you. Sunghoon cleared his throat. “Besides, I’m not here for you. Jake wanted to say hi.”
Sunghoon jutted a thumb at the man beside him. His face held a wide grin as he held out his hand. You clung onto his palm in a swift hand shake, a smile now plastered onto your face. Jake’s eye smile never went away as he introduced himself.
“I’m Jake, one of Sunghoon’s teammates! So nice to finally meet you!”
With a grin, you reciprocate his kind words. The two of you fell into wholesome small talk, completely forgetting the nuisance beside you. You already liked this guy way more. You and Jake talked endlessly about your similar hobbies, your overlapping interests. You enjoyed it, talking to the personified bundle of joy. It made you wonder why he was friends with someone like Sunghoon.
Sunghoon cleared his throat, the sudden boom startling both you and Jake.
“Let’s head back, man. I wanna get started on my reps.”
Jake only glanced back before turning around to face you, waving his hand at Sunghoon. “Start without me. I’ll catch up later.”
Sunghoon grumbled, turning around before marching over to the dumbbells. Only after he turned around did you notice the shells of his ears burning bright pink. Weird.
You and Jake continued but something was off. You couldn’t quite focus. As the two of you were about to enter the conversation topic of favourite foods, your stubborn eyes began to wander to the view of Park Sunghoon. You watched as he sat hunched over on a random bench, his hands clinging onto a dumbbell as he curled the equipment up to his chin, and back down slowly. You watched as his muscles tensed, his sweat beaded off of his face, drenching his hairline. He looked good; and you hated it.
Sunghoon’s eyes darted towards you, scanning back and forth between you and Jake. His eyes burned a hole through his teammate’s chest. His tongue poked beneath his cheek before his eyes darted away. Watching him, you found your heart racing. Odd, considering you hadn’t been running for a while. Something was really wrong with you.
You waited for Jake to leave before collecting your belongings and dashing off the treadmill. You made a b-line for Kiri, innocently working out. Kiri glances up, a confused and weary look on her face. “You good?”
“No.” You murmur, your heart racing even more. What was going on? “I wanna go home.”
“That’s a wrap for today!” The director’s voice echoed through the building, signalling the end of another successful shoot, but you could barely pay any mind. Not with your stomach grumbling like a lion dying of hunger.
This should’ve been an easy fix. With the table of refreshments, reserved just for the staff and cast members just 4 paces away from you, it was easy for anyone to take a quick bit and become instantly satisfied. Yet,your case was awfully special. You were currently on a diet.
It was a common occurrence for someone in the industry in order to look your best in time for a special event. With group activities fast approaching for you and your group, the practice of dieting was natural to expect.
Suddenly, the crackles of an open wrapper stung through your ears. Your head snaps to the sound, your senses heightened by the possibility of food. You squinted to get a better look. An overly seasoned rice ball, burning auburn in colour, with a dark strip of crispy seaweed running down the middle. It was a sight for sore eyes; your mouth watered. The way the oil glistened under the setlights above, the way each rice grain fell between the perfect balance of crisp and chewy, it all made your cravings skyrocket. You were about to take a step towards the godlike piece of food before your eyes remembered to scan the rest of the figure; the owner of the seaweed-wrapped gold.
You stopped.
It was Park Sunghoon. He was the one digging into the last riceball from the refreshments table. He was the one responsible for your suffering.
Your mind replays images from the gym; your last unfortunate encounter with the man you hated. The way your eyes wandered to places you didn’t want to see, the way your heart raced at his presence. It all stung you. And yet, here he was, making his way over to you. You found yourself coddling your stomach.
“What do you want?”
“You were the one staring at me, y/n.”
You gulp. You try to look away from the bothersome man, you really did. However, with Sunghoon bringing the rice ball closer and closer to your starving frame, facing away from him was even hard to manage. You couldn’t help but steal a glance or two from his mouth watering snack.
“You’re hungry, aren’t you?” You only gulp. Were you that obvious?
You stepped back from the idol. “I’m dieting. Everything makes me hungry.” You noticed your words wavering at the last half or your sentence.
Slowly, you walked away. You were expecting that interaction to be over, anyway. There was no use talking to him if he wasn’t going to provide you with any sort of solace. And besides, this was Park Sunghoon. Since when did you give him the light of day?
“There’s a convenience store down the street,” You heard Sunghoon’s voice as he jogged over to your escaping frame. “Let’s go.”
The convenience store? With Park Sunghoon?
“Are you dumb? My manager will kill me!”
A sudden warmth ghosted around the curve of your wrist. Sunghoon’s fingers clung gently around your skin, dragging your frame closer to his.
“We’ll be quick.”
Running. You and Park Sunghoon were running. Pushing past the equipment and staff members scattered across the filming set, all yelling at you to come back. With your hand in his, and an optimal view of Sunghoon’s back, the two of you dashed out of the filming set doors, escaping into the daylight. It was odd. It was as if the world surrounding you completely vanished, leaving the two of you secluded. Just for this maybe 5 minute run to the convenience store, the world was your and yours alone.
“You’re paying?”
“Yeah. You need to eat.”
Your brows furrowed. Since when did he care?
Your shoulder was nudged, and a rice ball fell into your hand. Your eyes met Sunghoon’s, whose eyes were already on you. “Here.”
You clear your throat. Your voice was small; an attempt to hide your fluttering heart. “Thanks.”
You dash in front of him, not wanting to look at him more than you needed to. This was the end of it all, anyways. You got what you wanted, and you were now on your merry way.
“Wait—” A tug on your wrist once again. Sunghoon pulled your frame close to his chest, away from the sliding doors behind you.
“Let’s stay here. Our managers will both have our heads if they see where we are,” Sunghoon huffed a chuckle.
“You only realised that now?”
“Just eat your rice ball” Sunghoon rolled his eyes.
Unwrapping the golden deity of rice and seaweed, you and Sunghoon step to the side, huddling together at the corner of the lottery ticket station. The silver light above you flickered, the buzzing of the electricity humming across the entire room. However, you couldn’t give your surroundings even a sliver of your attention. You were too busy dying of hunger to care.
“Look at you two!” The honey-like voice of an elderly woman seeped through your ears, breaking your attention away from your feast. It was the cashier, taking 5 from her work. “What a cute couple you are!”
You choked on your rice. A couple? Was that what the two of you looked like? Sure, Sunghoon bought your food for you, and you did just come running into the store holding hands. You sort of understood the confusion. But hell, was this lady ever wrong. Never in a million years would Park Sunghoon come close to someone you’d want to be a couple with. You would never give the thought the light of day. Dating Park Sunghoon? Nice try. He would need a heart of his own before getting a chance at capturing yours.
You shined a bogus smile. “Oh no—”
“Thank you!” Sunghoon’s voice collided with yours. You choke on your rice again, despite no rice being ingested to begin with. Maybe you were simply choking on the audacity Park Sunghoon had at this very moment. You step up, desperately in need of clearing up the miscommunication, but the lady was already occupied with her next customer. You huff a sigh, returning to the last bites of your blessed rice ball.
As you shoved the remaining food into your jacket, you and Sunghoon slip out of the convenience store, a cloud rumbling over your head, and your cheeks erupting into flames. You’ve been doing that a lot lately. Grumbling, you turn to him.
“What was that!?” Your voice squeaked a little.
Sunghoon only shrugged, throwing his elbows in the air and his palms at the back of his head. “I couldn’t correct that sweet old lady! Plus, it’s not like we’re ever gonna see her again.”
The speed in which Sunghoon dismissed the situation agitated you to your core, but you couldn’t help but notice the shell of Sunghoon’s ear flashing red again.
Currently, you sat on the curb as you took 5 from an outdoor shoot. Knees tucked into your chest, and your lunch balancing on your kneecaps, you munched on your food peacefully. The sky that was suspended over your head painted a simple wash of blue. It carried a few splotches of white clouds, the same way your brain carried few thoughts in its head. For the first time in a while, your mind was at peace.
A certain warmth ghosted your side, snapping you out of your peaceful trance. It was Sunghoon, choosing to sit right next to you. Sunghoon waited a few paces before taking a bite of his lunch. Only then did he consider looking over at you. You, however, were already looking in his direction. Baffled.
“Relax. This was the only place I could sit.”
You grumbled under your breath.
You glance at Sunghoon’s lunch. A simple fruit salad; pieces of fruit cubed and tossed together in a plastic bowl. You watched as Sunghoon periodically pushed the mountain of mangoes further into the corner, minimising the chances of them mixing into the rest of his salad. Suddenly, memories from your trainee days flooded your brain. Memories of Sunghoon scooping the mangoes off of a fruit cake; of Sunghoon wincing the moment he tasted mangoes in his fruit cup; of Sunghoon always remembering to give you the pieces he never wanted because he knew you liked them.
Your chest twinged.
“You still don’t like mangoes?” Your words were uttered before you could think them through. You wince; only now realising that the usage of ‘still’ implies that you remembered the past. Fuck.
You watch the corner of Sunghoon’s lip twitch up before his head hangs down, as if he was trying to hide a smile. “You still remember that?”
You stayed silent. The answer was obvious, unfortunately. A lump jumped from your throat. “You’re still weird for that, by the way. Who the hell doesn’t like mangoes?”
“They're always bad. Too sour.”
“You’re just bad at picking them out.”
“Also they’re slimy. Gross.”
“They’re not—” You heave a sigh. “You’re so dumb.”
The two of you pause, your eyes holding onto each other as if a thread had hung in the balance. As if on queue, the two of you suddenly burst out into fits of laughter. You didn’t know exactly what came over you at that moment. It was as if your body had become possessed, manoeuvred by a puppet master. Yet somehow, sitting here, on this random curb, laughing with Park Sunghoon—it brought you a strange sense of comfort.
As the laughter dialled down, and the two you grew silent, Sunghoon still held onto your attention. Slowly, Sunghoon picked off the mango cubes from his bowl, reached over and plopped down onto yours. You only looked up at him, confused.
“They’re your favourite, right?” Sunghoon simply asked, a grin stretching across his face. Your stomach felt queasy. “You’re not the only one who remembers, you know.”
Why was your heart racing?
Today was the day. The day you dreaded the most.
“You’ve already survived this far, I really doubt today’s gonna be any different,” Kiri reasoned from her end of the company van. You hated how logical and indifferent she was, and how you were the complete opposite right now.
You curled up in a ball on your car seat, your forehead resting on your knees. “Do you even know what scene we’re filming?”
Kiri only huffed as the company van slowly pulled into the driveway. “Yes, y/n. You’ve only told me everyday for the past week.” You huffed. So much for having a friend who understood you.
The van shifted into park, and Kiri released herself from the confines of her seat belt. With one last glance back at you, your teammate hops out of her car door, making her way to her individual schedule for the day. It took you every ounce of energy in your body to not reach over and grab her in a tight hug; steal her for yourself and your much needed moral support.
“You’ll be okay, y/n. Trust me.” The car door slammed shut.
Kiri definitely could not be trusted. Not when the particular scene you had scheduled was a kiss scene. With the one and only Park Sunghoon. You had every right to be just a little bit panicked.
The director’s run down of today’s schedule seemed shorter than usual. Or maybe it wasn’t—maybe you were just desperate to stall the inevitable. Either way, you still found yourself sitting behind the snack table. It was the corner of the room; the farthest corner from the filming set. The set you’d soon occupy with the man of the hour.
Park Sunghoon was the man you hated. He was the man that broke your promise, leaving you to bask in your loneliness. He was the man that abandoned your friendship in favour of fame. You hated him for all of it. Kissing Park Sunghoon went against everything your entire being had to offer.
And yet, you couldn’t get the thought of him out of your mind.
You let your stubborn eyes wander as you stood in the middle of the scene. Now, you were in-between takes, and you simply stood there as a makeup artist touched up Sunghoon’s face. Slowly, your eyes approached him. In the next 5 minutes, you would’ve kissed him, and this will all be over.
In 5 minutes. you would have kissed Park Sunghoon.
You’ll kiss Park Sunghoon.
“I’m yours, Choi Min Ah. No one else’s.” Sunghoon’s toasted breath wrapped your skin in a blanket of warmth. His voice was sweet; dipped in honey. Or, his character, Kwang Ill Han’s voice was. That’s who the voice belonged to—not Sunghoon. Recently, you’ve been having a difficult time differentiating the two. Sunghoon folded a hand over your cheek, slowly and gently linking his lips with yours. You crashed into the plush of his lips, your skin swiping at his. Your heart was racing again.
This was the kiss scene between Choi Min Ah and Kwang Ill Han. Not yours. So why was it affecting you?
The director yells cut, and the last scene for the day finishes. The clamour of staff members and actors run around, preparing to leave. However, you simply stood there. Trapped in the middle of the filming platform. Trapped in your own thoughts. Thoughts that Park Sunghoon had selfishly plagued.
You knew it was childish. You knew it was stupid. But it was what you needed to quell your erratic heart.
So you ran.
Park Sunghoon was a selfish prick.
It was the thought that tainted Sunghoon’s mind as he watched you escape the film set earlier that afternoon, and it stayed plaguing his mind for the duration of that evening—even until he got home. He sunk into the plush of the couch, not bothering to pay any mind to the colossal mess his members left in the living room. Instead, Sunghoon simply gazed at the lamp above him, glowing a deep amber—letting his thoughts eat him alive.
He let himself get carried away.
Sunghoon knew this would happen. He knew the risks that laced the opportunity of a reunion with you. He knew that, at just the slightest chance, Sunghoon would fall in love with you all over again. And, as far as his career was concerned; falling in love was forbidden.
It all started years ago, a couple of years after the two of you joined the same entertainment company—though Sunghoon remembered it like it was yesterday. Sunghoon had just finished up his vocal lessons for the evening when the company CEO sat Sunghoon down in front of a laptop. It was littered with pictures that Sunghoon was a part of. However, all these shots had one thing in common; they were all pictures of you and him. Pictures of Sunghoon staring into your eyes lovingly as you decorated a cake for your group leader, of Sunghoon intimately adjusting your hair, clueless to the cameras filming you. Pictures of Sunghoon that expose his feelings for you.
In other words; a relationship rumour was bound to spread, if it hadn’t already, and Park Sunghoon was screwed.
The CEO goes on to tell Sunghoon the dangers that this holds. How a dating rumour during their trainee years had a greater chance of ruining their careers, their images. He scolded Sunghoon for being dumb and reckless. It was natural; you had a knack for making Sunghoon go crazy ever since he first met you in grade school. Park Sunghoon was smitten for you, and now he finally had to pay the price.
The CEO, however, proposes a solution that would dial down the situation. Sunghoon would transfer to BELIFT LAB, a company in need of a male trainee for an upcoming debut of their new boy group. With Sunghoon now out of the way, there would be no room for rumours between the two trainees to spread. And with the sudden news of Sunghoon signing with a new company ranking first in the spotlight, dedicated fans were bound to simply forget any rumours would even exist.
Sunghoon didn’t know much when it came to this line of work. So, he agreed to the scheme. Anything to keep his career, and you, safe.
The hardest part about it all was keeping it a secret from you. It was on company’s orders; you didn’t have a clue what was going on at the time, so it was best to just leave you in your blissful ignorance. The company ordered him to distance himself from you. To break away from the bond the two of you shared for years. It was no wonder you hated him; you had every right. And so, Park Sunghoon tried to shut down his feelings for you. Hiding his heart behind a fake persona that hated you the same way you hated him—thorns against his skin. Nevertheless, it was the only way to keep you somewhat in his life.
Park Sunghoon knew it was bad news when he found out the two of you would reunite under the shackles of this web drama project. Park Sunghoon knew he couldn’t control himself around you; that you knew just how to drive his heart crazy. That was exactly why he was left here, alone in the living room, with the image of you running away from him replaying in his brain.
His feelings for you have sparked once again. He wasn’t quite sure if they even left to begin with.
But there was no way in hell your feelings would ever reciprocate. Not in a million years. It was clear the moment you ran away from him.
A ping! jumps from Sunghoon’s phone, the light from the screen catching his attention. His thumb swipes at the notification; a message from his manager. It reveals a calendar with the upcoming weekend highlighted a bright green. The coloured boxes read only one sentence, but it was a sentence that would be burned in Sunghoon’s brain for a lifetime.
FILMING AT JEJU - WEEKEND SHOOT + WRAP UP PARTY
A weekend away at Jeju island. With you.
Sunghoon’s heart leaped from his chest.
Jeju island was a tourist spot most notably known for its beach resorts, pearl blue ocean water, and unique cuisine. For most, it’s considered a home away from home, a paradise to let your hair down, to destress from the chaos of life.
For you, however, it’s a different story.
“There must’ve been some mistake!” Your manager’s voice echoed through the hotel lobby. You still managed to hear her loud and clear despite sitting across the large room. “You mean there’s no room booked?”
The hotel staff only glared back at your manager, face deadpan. “I’m sorry ma’am, I don’t see your name on the list. We’re fully booked at the moment. I’m afraid I can’t help you.”
With a huff escaping her lips, your manager treks back to your figure, her shoulders slumped to the ground. You didn’t even need to ask. Based on her defeated demeanour, and the fact that you overheard the whole conversation from where you sat, you understood; you had no place to stay. Here you were; in the paradise of Jeju Island, homeless for the weekend. Stress washed over you.
Your manager whips her phone out, swiping aggressively as she buried her face into the screen. “I’m so sorry, y/n, but we’re gonna have to find a motel tonight. I’ll look for the nearest one right now.”
“That isn’t necessary, miss.” A voice perks up behind you. A voice that needed no introduction as your frame froze in its place. Sunghoon sauntered away from his visibly worried manager, and towards your sunken figures, hands nonchalantly in his pockets. “You two can stay with me and my manager.”
You choked. What sick game was Sunghoon playing?
Your manager politely waves her hands to refuse, but you quickly step in, hands crossed over your puffed chest as an act of defence. You barely even managed to keep steady eye contact. “We don’t want your help. A motel will do just fine.”
“No one should have to pay extra just for a motel,” Sunghoon reasons, not backing down. “We also booked the deluxe suite; there’s plenty of room for the four of us.”
Your manager’s resolve quickly faded away the moment Sunghoon mentioned paying extra for a last minute room. Her eyes grew wary, shaky. The harsh reality of finances crashing down on her in an instant. She wasn’t going to give in so easily, was she?
She was.
She looked at you with doe-like eyes. “We should accept their offer, y/n. It’s only for the weekend.”
Before you knew it, you and your bags were being taken up to the top floor of the hotel. Into the deluxe suite that belonged to the one and only Park Sunghoon.
A defeated sigh. It was the only reaction your body could muster amidst the sheer buffoonery of your current situation. Being forced to room with the man that drove you crazy; how's that for comedy?
You shot up from the edge of the bed, the thought of your depressing situation suddenly parching your throat. You pivot towards the kitchen, attempting to pay no mind to the series of zips and rummaging of luggage currently happening in the living room. You didn’t want to give Sunghoon the light of day, even if he was just innocently unpacking his suitcase.
Crisp ice water slides down your throat as your eyes wander. Stubbornly. Eventually landing on the man you swore you would ignore.
His eyes were on you, too.
You quickly dart away, your heart beating rapidly.
Sunghoon roughly clears his throat, the sound echoing around the walls of the living room. You glance back, watching him cling unto the nape of his neck with one hand, while the other loosely tosses a card onto the armrest of the couch. Almost immediately after, Sunghoon turned away from you. “Here’s the second keycard—your manager forgot to pick it up before she left.”
You only nodded, shuffling over to retrieve it. Of course he didn’t consider throwing it somewhere actually close to you.
The closer you got to the furniture, the more Sunghoon’s belongings appeared before you. His sweaters and shirts were folded in a neat and compact manner and sitting at the corner of the couch, his towel draped over the backrest. Miscellaneous items were littered across the surface of the couch, items you didn’t pay much attention to. Except for one.
A polaroid stuck out of Sunghoon’s wallet. You checked to see if Sunghoon was watching before snatching it away. It was an image of a younger Sunghoon standing in the middle, holding up a cake as frosting was smudged on his nose and cheek. A wide grin was plastered on his face as other trainees surrounded him. You were in the picture, too, right by his side as you held onto one side of the cake. A finger covered in frosting suggests that you were the culprit of his smudged face. He didn’t seem to care, considering Sunghoon’s cheeky grin was directed at you. Devil horns were drawn on Sunghoon’s head, and a messy heart was traced around your face.
A date was etched into the bottom of the polaroid. 12/08/2018. Sunghoon’s birthday; the last birthday he had before leaving the company. Your eyes widen, heart racing.
Why would he keep something like this?
“You still have this?” Your voice trembled. Sunghoon’s head whips back to find you holding the polaroid, his eyes widened in surprise. He treks over to you, swatting the picture away from your hands. “What are you doing!?”
You fidget with your fingers, eyes gazing on the carpet. How long has he had that picture? What did that mean? You look up at Sunghoon once again, slow steps bringing you closer to his frame.
“Why do you still have this?”
“I just do.” Sunghoon’s eyes held yours hostage. He didn’t say much, yet the weight of his stare was enough to move worlds.
His eyes quickly diverted from your gaze as he continued to unpack. You nipped at your lip; Sunghoon’s answer wasn’t enough. Questions spiralled in your head. Your world was unravelling before you. You retired back to your room, your back keeping the door shut. Your face was flushed, your chest heaved.
What was Park Sunghoon doing to you?
“We’ll have you two start from the couch and then move onto the bed. We’ll end the scene when Sunghoon takes his shirt off.” Your director instructs, his hands blocking the scene directions on your last official filming session.
Normally, you would’ve been elated at that fact. However, if this trip has proven anything to you, it's that the universe wants you to suffer. And so, this exciting final scene you were currently stuck filming was none other than a steamy makeout session between the two main characters at a romantic getaway.
Fear shot down your spine, your brain hot-wiring at that very moment. You were already overwhelmed with the revelation that Sunghoon’s polaroid from last night brought you. By then, your heart was already leaping from your chest. The last thing you needed was to lock lips with the man responsible for your malfunctioning brain.
Nevertheless, you hiked towards the couch like a mindless drone. You’ve given up on fighting for what you want. Sitting on the couch, you suddenly grew overwhelmingly conscious of your clothes—or lack thereof. You dawned a tank top etched in lace trim, shorts of the same pattern, and a satin robe to cover your arms. You knew that this outfit was necessary for the scene, but that didn’t stop fear from shooting down your spine.
Sunghoon soon joins you on the couch, dawning a simple white button down, with a few buttons undone—exposing his bare chest. Instinctively, you hug your chest, shielding your skin with the satin fabric of your robe. You caught a glance of his collarbones, the way his adam’s apple bobbed as he gulped. Heat creeped against your cheeks.
Sunghoon averted his gaze from you, yet you still felt as though all attention was within your grasp. His hand rested on his knee, fingers fidgeting the wrinkles of his trousers.
“Tell me if you get uncomfortable, alright? I’ll stop—even if the scene isn’t finished.”
There he was, reassuring you like the caring asshole he is. Your heart leaped.
“Okay.”
It didn’t take long before your lips were snug against his, his weight overpowering yours as he moved to lay on top of you. Sunghoon’s hand snaked against your jaw, gently creeping further to the back of your head to provide you a makeshift headrest. Your hands reached up around his neck and his shirt collar, pulling his frame closer against your exposed chest. Sunghoon’s skin was warm. His other hand grips your waist, a finger poking beneath your shield of fabric. His touch was soft.
Your heart was pounding so hard, it pulsated through your ears.
This was just a scene, you reminded yourself.
Your breaths grew hazy as Sunghoon lifted your frame into his arms. You wrapped your legs around his hips instantly—clockwork. In just a few steps, Sunghoon’s knees reached the edge of the bed. He laid you back down gently, your frame sinking into the plush of the bed. Your arms refused to let go, holding him closer for more kisses. Your stomach flipped in on itself. Sunghoon gently pulled himself away, standing up straight. You watched as his hands trailed up to the buttons of his shirt, unbuttoning them one by one. You couldn’t bring yourself to look away.
Within seconds, Sunghoon slipped the white fabric off of his broad shoulders, tossing it aside before bending back down to meet your lips once more. Your fingertips grazed against his skin tracing his shoulder blades. His skin grew warmer against your touch, as if you were lighting him on fire.
This was just a scene, you reminded yourself once more.
“CUT!” Your director’s voice pierced through your ears, pulling you back to reality. Sunghoon immediately jumps off of you, trekking off to retrieve his shirt back. His back was turned towards you, but a quick glance could confirm his cheeks were currently flaring red. You, however, couldn’t say much on the matter—you were in even more of a mess than he was.
The two of you linked eyes for a split second, tension fogging up the air around you. All while your heart was still pounding so loud your ears could hear.
Distracted. Park Sunghoon was distracted. And it was all thanks to you.
The spice of liquor scratched against his throat, the ice cubes kissing his lips. He huffed a sigh, running a hand through his hair for the umteenth time that evening of the wrap up party. He didn’t even bother listening to the boring speech his director was giving, or anyone else who was talking that night—it all washed away, like grains of sand parallel to a body of water.
Sunghoon couldn’t figure out what exactly was causing this feeling. Maybe it was the fact that he so foolishly let you stay over in his hotel room. Now, he was stuck sleeping just a few paces away from the woman he loved but couldn’t have. Torture. He gulped down another sour sip. Or maybe it was the way you kissed him that afternoon. Even if it was just for a simple scene, the way you melted into his lips made Sunghoon wish everything was real. Maybe he was drunk on your kisses, and a little bit of booze, too.
His eyes wandered, only to be led straight to you. With a glass of wine in your hand, you stood in a small huddle consisting of your manager and a few other faces Sunghoon couldn’t recognize.
Maybe it was the way you glistened without the need for any light. You lit the dim banquet hall up with your smile. The smile Sunghoon missed so dearly.
Another gulp.
Or maybe it was the way you wouldn’t even spare Sunghoon a glance since the wrap up party. The way he had let himself get carried away trying to get close to you, and ultimately driving you further away. Maybe Sunghoon just needed to finally accept everything.
A distraction. You needed a distraction. From Park Sunghoon, specifically.
Park Sunghoon had unwantedly staked his claim on your brain for longer than you wanted. The man you knew to be selfish and cruel, willing to break your friendship in the blink of an eye, was turning your world upside down. He was caring for you, ensuring your comfort, putting you first. It all confused you, set your brain into overdrive.
And that polaroid. The picture the size of your palm, capable of burning everything you knew into flames of the unknown. It left you with endless questions; though one stood out like a sore thumb.
Did Sunghoon miss you?
That was an absurd thought.
Nevertheless, it was a thought that nipped and itched at your brain for the rest of the evening, and you needed a way out. Your first course of action was to hide. Sitting at a table that was oceans away from where Sunghoon and his manager sat during your director’s long and drawn out speech. Shoving and squeezing yourself into groups of people you barely knew; you basically trailed your manager around like a lost puppy.
When you weren’t wandering around aimlessly, however, you were tucked away in the washrooms, calling Kiri as you sat hunched over on a closed toilet seat, whisper-shouting as you explained the escalated situation.
“Just ask him, y/n.” Kiri huffed over the phone. “It’ll give you peace of mind.”
“I can’t just approach him!”
“Why not?”
“I dunno, I just can’t think straight around him! He’s constantly on my mind and he drives me crazy! I think my blood pressure spikes the moment I’m near him—”
“y/n?” Kiri interrupts. You gulp. “Yeah?”
“Do you like Sunghoon?”
You choked, turning a few heads of guests washing their hands at the bathroom sink. Was Kiri being serious? You didn’t like Sunghoon. He drove you clinically insane, he was so unpredictable it made you want to rip your own hair out. Whenever you were around him, your heart stubbornly danced beneath your chest, your mind went haywire.
Oh god.
You liked Park Sunghoon.
“I-I have to go.” You hung up at the speed of light.
You didn’t need a distraction. You needed answers.
Stepping out of the bathroom, you scanned the venue. Your eyes landed on a glass of wine resting in someone’s hand. Your eyes then pivot to the open bar, empty and barren. A lightbulb springs from your head.
The last thing Sunghoon expected to see tonight was you, piss drunk and toppled over on the counter of the open bar.
Your face was hidden in the nest of your forearms, your hair was messy and spread out. Sunghoon was positive a strand or two had fallen into your mouth. Peaking through the bush of your hair, Sunghoon gazed at your droopy eyes, eyelids practically sealed shut by fatigue. Empty glasses outlined your figure, but you couldn’t bother to pay it any mind. The outside world didn’t matter when you were this drunk.
That was the problem. You couldn’t care less about your surroundings; it was dangerous.
Sunghoon nipped at his lips, his eyes holding onto your frame like his life depended on it. He knew leaving you alone and unattended was irresponsible, that it would place your life in grave danger. You were smack dab in the middle of a social event, strangers littered all around you. Anything could happen at any moment.
Nevertheless, Sunghoon also knew your current resolve when it came to him. He knew you hated him, you couldn’t stand being near him. A hand ran through his hair. Would he even be of any help?
Sunghoon sighed, drilling his hands through his pockets. Someone else could probably help you just fine. You probably didn’t need him.
In 3 seconds he changed his mind.
A fire burned in his chest, his jaw tensing as he saw your passed out frame. Sunghoon marched over to your seat, his blazer slipping off of his shoulders and into his hands. Sunghoon soon spread the blazer over your shoulders, which were exposed and laced with goosebumps from the air-conditioned room. He caught the attention of people passing by when he pulled your frame up by your shoulders, gently resting your head against his chest as he swung down to pick up your legs. He swung your frame away from the open bar and out of the banquet hall.
He trudged towards the hotel elevators, your figure slumped in his arms. He couldn’t help but glance at your sleeping frame.
Even now, you looked beautiful as ever.
Opening your eyes, you were greeted with two things; the hotel room’s ceiling, and Park Sunghoon’s blazer enveloping your torso.
Your stomach was flipping in on itself, your heart racing. It actually worked. Your suspicions were right. Park Sunghoon actually brought you to your hotel room—your and his room, anyway.
To say that you didn’t feel just a little bit guilty would be a big understatement. Pretending you were drunk out of your mind at an open bar, hoping the man you just found out you had feelings for would see you and take you to his room just to test whether or not he cared for you—maybe it wasn’t the best idea. You, however, were desperate. You needed to know where Sunghoon’s heart stood.
As you rose up into a sitting position, A figure shuffled into the room. A figure that needed no introduction.
“You’re not really drunk, are you?” Sunghoon accused, a hand dropping a glass of water gently onto the desk left of his hips. You only gulp, murmuring your response.
“M-maybe.”
Exasperated, Sunghoon heaves a deep sigh. His head is thrown back, his adam’s apple bobbing up and down. You watched as he shuffled over to you, his figure plopping onto the edge of your bed.
“Don’t scare me like that!”
Sunghoon’s eyes held you hostage, boring into you. As if he was reaching into your soul and claiming it as his own. You, however, stood still, in a trance. Unable to move under his presence. A blanket of silence fell on top of you—it was so silent you could hear your heartbeat pulsating in your ears. Quickly, you snap out of your trance, eyes severing the contact as you scurried away from his frame.
“Then don’t get so scared.” you spat defensively.
Sunghoon clung onto the nape of his neck. “How could I not? It’s dangerous—”
“Just—stop it already!” you snapped, interrupting him as your palms pushed into the mattress. “Stop getting scared for me, caring for me—stop that!”
Sunghoon's eyes gaze down at his feet before trailing up to meet yours. As you continue, your eyes couldn’t help but follow suit, hanging onto his gaze like your life depended on it. You shoot up from your spot on the bed, your heart stuck in your windpipe as you towered over him.
“You’re supposed to hate me! Call me names, make fun of me. Instead, you’re this caring, sweet guy that I can’t stop thinking about! I mean, we’re supposed to be enemies. You know, when you left the agency that day; when you left me that day, I swore I would hate you with all my heart. How the hell are you gonna be my enemy when my heart races at the thought of you? If you’re all that's on my mind?”
You gulp. “How the hell am I supposed to hate you when I like you so much?”
“You like me?”
A hand slapped over your mouth. Sunghoon’s eyes widened as he gazed up at you. His jaw practically grazed the floor. He blinked a few times as your heartbeat pounded again in your ears.
“Leaving the agency was never my choice.” Sunghoon’s voice was hushed.
What?
Slowly you sat down. Sunghoon watched you, his eyes holding yours hostage the entire time you sunk down onto your side of the bed.
“I know that this sounds like some sick excuse, but I never wanted to leave. The CEO saw how close we were during our days as trainees, and thought that it would threaten our careers if we ever had any rumours spread about us.” A hand brushed over Sunghoon’s hair. “So, he asked me to leave. The CEO had no plans on telling you about any of this, so I had to keep it from you, too.”
Suddenly, Sunghoon slid off of the bed, kneeling before your figure. He gazed up at you once more. “I’m sorry—for everything.”
Your heart was racing. Sunghoon continued. “I’m sorry for keeping the truth from you, for leaving you that day. None of that would’ve happened if I was careful, if my heart wasn’t so stubborn.”
“What are you saying?” Your voice trembled.
Sunghoon heaved a deep sigh. “I liked you, y/n. I liked you so much that I could barely keep it in, barely keep composure. I tried my hardest to get over you, but it was no use.”
Sunghoon’s eyes glistened under the amber hotel lights. “I knew my feelings for you only grew.”
A thread hung in the balance as the two of you continued to stare into each other’s eyes—a thread you wouldn’t dare sever, never in this lifetime. You watched as they sparkled; held the stars beneath their surface. You watched as they stared lovingly at you, yet hungry for you all at the same time. You also watched as your own hands grew minds of their own, reaching out to Sunghoon’s cheek before stopping mid-air. “Sunghoon?”
“Hm?”
“I think I need to kiss you.”
As he pressed your trembling hands up against his soft cheek, Sunghoon’s lips folded up into a grin, his voice melting like honey. “I’m all yours.”
Park Sunghoon tasted sweet against your lips— Sweet floral scents, most likely his cologne, puffed out from his frame as you held him close. You snaked an arm around his neck, fingers clinging around the nape. His palms hooked onto your waist, fingertips digging into your skin. As if you were minutes away from leaving his touch; he wasn’t about to let that happen again. Your grip on him grew tighter, too. You didn’t want him slipping from your fingertips either. Never again.
A part of you felt warm and fuzzy; this kiss was real.
With his weight overtaking you, Sunghoon leans further into the kiss, his lips pushing deep into yours. Your shoulders press deep into the plush of the mattress as his figure shells over you, shielding you from the outside world. Fireworks pop against your skin. Your stomach flips in on itself each time Sunghoon nibbles at your bottom lip; teasing you. Your hands roam around his back, tracing each bump and crevice of his body, relishing in his touch. His palm cradled your head, lacing between your hair strands. It was as if you were floating on a cloud.
With one swipe of his tongue at your lips, Sunghoon deepened your kiss, his tongue sliding against yours. His movements grow rash, fierce. As if he’d been starving for centuries; and you were his next meal. His hand glides up and down your waist, your skin tight dress doing nothing to conceal the friction. Heat bundles up between your legs.
You wanted more.
A moan slips from your lips, entrapped in your kiss. That, however, didn’t stop Sunghoon from hearing you loud and clear; from igniting a flame within his chest. With you, his mind was a ticking bomb. Gently, Sunghoon pushes away from the kiss, his breath hazing against your lips. His eyes flickered open, immediately gazing down at you.
“How far are we going, tonight?” Sunghoon huffed. “I’m not moving until you tell me.”
Your fingers traced his muscles. They were tense and flexed; he was clearly restraining himself. Stopping himself from indulging in you like some beast. You gazed up at him. The way his collar bones peaked through his neckline, his cheeks flushed a rosy pink; as if he was drunk on your presence. The way his hair hung over his starry eyes.
You’ve never felt more certain of something in your life.
Your hand cradled Sunghoon’s cheeks. “I want you, Hoonie. All of you.
At the sound of your nickname, Sunghoon’s eyes grew hungry, dark as he harshly pressed into your lips. His tongue slid up against yours. They tangle, intertwine; eliciting another mewl from your lips. Sunghoon was certain his brain short circuited at your voice. Slyly, Sunghoon pressed his knee against your inner thigh, outlining its frame before slowly inching closer to your centre. The pressure sent shivers down your spine, your back instinctively arching forwards. Like you were aching to be closer, to hold him tighter.
Sunghoon’s knee pressed further into your clothed core; one that was practically soaked. He moved the knee up and down, left to right; your brows furrowed in euphoria. A full, booming moan echoed, earning a needy grunt from the man who drove you insane.
“That sound is driving me crazy, baby.” Sunghoon gritted through his teeth. “Moan more for me, yeah?”
You didn’t even need to try.
Slowly, Sunghoon peppered kisses down your jaw, sucking against your searing skin. With a hand at the small of your back, Sunghoon lifts you up from the bed, his hand trailing up and fiddling with the zipper of your dress. He pulls the zipper down, and you’ve never been more grateful for built-in bra pads. His lips, however, never once breached contact, his lips gently migrating down to your collar bones, your chest, and eventually the swell of your breasts. Your breath hitched as you felt his warmth circulate your nipples. Sunghoon takes a breast into his lips, his tongue swirling and flicking against your stiffened. You whimper at the contact, your core pooling in lust.
You couldn’t take it anymore.
After blindly searching for his hand, you tug on his wrist, positioning it between his thighs. Sunghoon smirked against your skin, the vibrations of his chuckle shuddering through your body—he heard you, loud and clear. After pulling down the rest of your dress, Sunghoon feathers his touch against your inner thighs, teasing you. You throw your head back, swimming in ecstasy.
Softly, too soft, he drew circles around your clothed pussy. He grazed against your clit, driving you crazy. For a split second, Sunghoon parted his lips from your skin, moving up to meet your ear. “Where do you want my fingers, darling?”
You whimper, trying to find the words as Sunghoon toyed with your folds beneath the fabric. “In—fuck—inside. Please.”
In an instant, Sunghoon pushed aside the measly fabric, finding your core dripping in heat; dripping for him. A digit slides into your folds, exploring your walls. He pumps his finger slowly, in and out as your back arches in desire. Your body spazzed and jolted. His knuckles grazed against your walls as he pumped faster and faster. Sunghoon slyly pushes in another finger, and then another, stretching your pussy around the width. You felt every inch of him, every section of his skin. As his pumps grow faster, harsher, Sunghoon’s fingers curl inwards, hitting your spot.
You couldn’t keep in your noises, your lew moan bouncing against the walls, the same way your hips bounced against his fingers. In a weak effort to quiet down, you bite your finger. Sunghoon, however, quickly notices, gripping your hand by the wrist. “Don’t—I wanna hear you, princess.”
You only whimper a response, your legs growing further apart with each pump of his fingers. A knot begins to crumple together at the pit of your stomach, your moans growing louder and louder. You found yourself shouting Sunghoon’s name without realising it, gripping into his skin. Sunghoon dips his hips against your bare core, pressing his digits further into you. You felt a tenting sensation against your core.
The knot grew tighter and tighter as Sunghoon’s pumps grew hasty and messy. Wet sloshes echo in the room, though they were overpowered by your lust-ridden mewls. Sunghoon grinds into you, the metal of his belt buckle shocking your core frozen.
“Cum on me, princess.” Sunghoon demands.
On cue, the knot finally pops open, and juices drip out of your pussy as you scream out his name. It coated your walls, his fingers, even the bed beneath you. Sunghoon made sure you watched as he took his dirty fingers into his mouth, sucking your sweet juices dry.
“How much more can you handle, baby?” Sunghoon askes between huffs. You glance down, the zipper of his pant’s barely holding in the tent beneath his pants. You only nod, lust hazing over your eyes. Sunghoon smiles, kissing your temple. “Good. We’re not even close to done, princess.”
In a few swift moments, Sunghoon unbuckled his pants. You watched as the fabric dropped down to his knees, his length revealing itself. Your eyes gawked at the sight, earning only a chuckle from Sunghoon as he brought your wrist up to his lips.
“Only you make me like this, y/n.” He kissed your skin.
An ache clouded your pussy. Suddenly, you felt empty, needy. You needed him. You mewl, gaining his attention in an instant. “I need your cock, Hoon.”
Rolling a condom around his dick, Sunghoon positions his tip at your entrance. You send a signal before Sunghoon presses into you. You throw your head back, eyes rolling to the heavens at the contact. His cock filled you up, grazing and sliding against your walls. Your skin slaps against each other with each slow thrust, the dirty noises filling up the room. Sunghoon throws your legs over his shoulders, giving him more access to your wet, needy pussy. Your hands gripped the sheets; anything to stay tethered to reality.
Sunghoon’s thrusts grow messy and rough. That familiar knot bundles up beneath your stomach as an idea pops into your mind.
“Can I go on top?” You huff breathlessly. Sunghoon gulps, covering his embarrassed face with the back of his palm. “Y-yeah. Please.”
You and Sunghoon clamour around to switch positions, reaching for random kisses back and forth. Your back faced him, your ass grinding against his abs, your shoulder blades rubbing against his chest. Slowly, you sink onto his dick, your folds enveloping his throbbing length. Sunghoon grunts closely behind you, concealing his sounds with kisses against your neck. His hands roam around you; digging into your hips, fondling your breasts. Though, it was the mischievous massaging of your clit that sent your brain to short circuit. You bounced on his cock faster, your and his moans intertwining in the night air.
“You don’t know how many times I’ve dreamt of this, princess,” Sunghoon strained. “Of you bouncing on my cock—shit—just like that.”
His words send butterflies through your stomach. Your pussy clamps down on his cock as the two of you scream each other’s name. You weren’t far from your second climax of the night. One more bounce against his dick sent your juices overflowing. Sunghoon’s pools up at the tip of his condom. Slowly, you pull away from his length, plopping down beside him on the bed, huffing from exhaustion. Sunghoon lays down with you, cradling his frame in your arms.
“That was amazing.” You hum into his skin. Sunghoon traces small shapes along your bare back. “You were amazing, baby.”
Suddenly, the jingle of keys sound from across the hotel room.
Your managers. They were back from the party.
Uh oh.
“You realise how dangerous this is, right?” Your CEO pinches his nose bridge, leaning back into his office chair. “The press won’t react lightly to this.”
You and Sunghoon glanced at each other, shoulders pressed against one another as you stood before your CEO. Sweat beaded from your forehead. Though, you had every right to be nervous; you were currently asking for permission to go public with Park Sunghoon. The man you loved most.
“Yes—”
“Let me finish,” Your CEO raised his hand. “But, seeing as though you both are highly regarded and successful artists, and no longer trainees—I’ll allow it.”
The two of you lit up, immediately gazing at each other with smiles. You cling onto one another in a sweet embrace. As he only half-payed attention to your CEO’s orders of letting his company know, Sunghoon peppers kisses on your cheek.
Sunghoon pushes your hair behind your ear, smiling. “You’re finally mine, baby.”
Hi! Can I request slashers (mainly the sinclair brothers) possibly laying their hands on reader during an argument and maybe somehow the reader passes out after accidentally hitting their head or something? (Maybe make it extra angsty with blood + reader not waking up to their calls hehe)
What would their reaction be? Both during the accident and how they’d react seeing reader passed out. Angst with fluff in the end please ❤️ (reader can be gn. Tysm!!)
You sicko (I love it) sorry it took my so long writers block has actually been the bane of my existence :(
Also pretty sure I know nothing about how a real concussion works oops. Also I didn’t want them to be the exact same so Vincent’s is a lil different. Hope you still like it!
Warnings: abusive relationship, reader being hurt, cussing and fighting
Includes: Vincent Sinclair and Bo Sinclair
“Where the hell have you been?” You hear Bo yell as soon as you step through the door. It was late around 10:00 and you left at 5. “I’m sorry I went on a walk then ran into Lester and I hung out with him for a few hours. It’s not that big of a deal.” You say trying to calm the situation down. “Lester? You’ve been with Lester this whole goddamn time.” He spits out through gritted teeth. “You know you don’t leave Ambrose unless I say you can. What the fuck is wrong with you.” He says making his way towards you. “Please Bo it’s late I don’t want to fight with you.” That almost seems to piss him off more. Immediately he has a tight grip on your hair. You yelp in pain. “Oh cut the shit y/n. I let you out of that fuckin basement and welcomed you into my home. This is how you treat me? By fuckin around with my own brother?” He screams in your face. You grip his hand trying to get him to ease the grip. “Please Bo I’m sorry! I was just driving around back roads with him! I needed a break from this town!” You cry out. “Do you think I’m fuckin stupid? Huh! You filthy slut!” He yells dropping his grip on your hair letting you hit the ground. Before you can get up he kicks you harshly. You cry out in pain. “Bo! Stop please!” You scream. He lifts you up with ease just to hit you across the face and push you down harshly. As you fall you hit your head on the table near by immediately passing out. “Get the fuck up y/n. I’m not playing into your helpless victim act.” Bo says harshly. Only, you don’t move. “I said get up.” He yells as loud as he can. Again, not a single movement or word from you. You were facing down. He bends over and rolls you over seeing a slight gash on your forehead bleeding pretty badly. His blood runs cold. “Y/n? Come on wake up baby.” He shakes you lightly. When you once again don’t move he starts to panic. Bo picks you up laying you down in the couch. Then running to the kitchen to kind the sewing kit. “Why did you make me do this y/n. Fuckin bitch. All you had to do was listen to me.” He says under his breath. Pulling out a needle and threading it he slowly starts to sew shut the gash. You slightly stir in your sleep. “There we go.” He coos softly. “Knew the bitch wasn’t that easy to kill.” Bo scoffs. Once he’s done sewing you up he pours alcohol over it. Sending a jolt of pain through your body, you whence and start to wake up. He taps your cheek softly. “Wake up.” He says as he stands up walking back to the kitchen putting away everything. By the time he comes back you’ve started to wake up. “B…Bo?” You question. “Yeah? I’m right here.” He sits on the couch lifting you up then laying your head in his lap. He had a beer in his hand. “My head..it really hurts.” You lift a hand to touch your forehead but he grabs it before you can. “I wouldn’t. You don’t want it to get infected.” Bo scoffs. “That’s what happens when you don’t listen to me. Got it? Thought you knew this by now.” He sips his beer. Tears swell up in your eyes. “I’m sorry I just wanted to ride with Lester.” You cry softly. His gaze softens. “You need to ask me before you do some shit like that baby. Look I was worried about you that’s all. So don’t ever think of pulling some shit like that again or I’ll beat the ever loving fuck outta you and you’ll sleep chained up in the basement. Got it?” He looked down at you. “Yes Bo.” You say tiredly. You guys stay silent for a moment before he sighs. “You really fuckin scared me. Thought you were…I don’t know, fuckin dead. You probably have a concussion or sum shit like that.” He sips his beer. “Come here.” Bo opens his arms so you can sit on his lap. You do so. Leaning your head on his shoulder as he wraps his arms around you. Kissing the top of your head softly. “You’ll be okay.” He whispers.
Vincent saw you talking to one of the new victims of Ambrose. Only, you were a little too kind in his opinion. Laughing at his jokes, keeping eye contact. He didn’t like it at all. So when he caught the poor guy he made sure his death was slow and painful. Vincent avoided you for the rest of the day. Ignoring you when you tired to talk to him. He didn’t even come up for dinner with you and Bo. You didn’t fully understand why he was so mad at you. So you brought him a plate of food down to his workshop. “Vincent” you call out softly. Not a sound. He doesn’t exactly speak much or really ever but he’ll make a sound to let you know he heard you. “Vincent please eat something.” You call out. He comes out of the corner he was sitting in. You sigh feeling better. “Here I made spaghetti and meatballs. You love this meal.” You smile softly. He makes a sound that almost sounds like a scoff. “What is the matter? You’ve been avoiding me all day? What did I do?” You cry out. He looks at the man he just brutally murdered in the chair getting wax sprayed all over his body. “Him? Oh my god. Because I laughed at his stupid jokes? I thought he was an absolute idiot that’s why I was laughing! You really think I could like someone like him? Grow the fuck up Vincent.” You turn to leave but he grabs your arm harshly. Looking at him with fear he tightness the grip. “Let go..right now Vincent let go.” You say with a shaky breath. He doesn’t let go. You try to pull away. It instantly angers him. Slapping you harshly across the face. Making you fall to the ground. “Vincent!” You cry out. “What the fuck is wrong with you?!” You scream. That makes it worse. Vincent kicks you with all his strength making you loose your breath. When he see you gasping for air he immediately regrets hitting you. He kneels down and holds you in his arms. You’re coughing and gagging. Vincent pats your back trying to do anything to help. Eventually you stop coughing and start to breath normally. You have blood dripping from your mouth from when he hit you harshly. He wipes it away and whines what you assume was his way of saying I’m sorry. You sit up and open your arms letting him fall into you. Running your fingers through his hair you tell him it’s okay and you aren’t mad at him.
Siren's Call | Mermaid!Choso x Reader | 呪術廻戦
author's notes: I wanna thank you guys for being patient with me! I've been dealing with writer's block, but here's the fourth part!
contains: masturbation, rough sex, breeding, interspecies intercourse, implied pregnancy
wc: 1.3k
The night was quiet, the sea was rather calm. It seemed like everything could be still. You were sound asleep, you couldn't help but think of the beautiful man you've been hanging out with for the past few months. Time may have seem short, but you've been seeing him a lot more then just months.
Choso is an aloof man. He's quiet, he's mainly keeps to himself. But what you don't know is what he's been thinking and doing late at night on the cold stone rock.
You see, Choso is a virgin. He doesn't have experience with sex whatsoever, but suddenly he's been having intrusive naughty thoughts about you — about your body. He's worried you'll notice, so he's been even more distant that he already is as of now.
But it's getting difficult not to moan as he humps the soft algae on top of the hard rock underneath him, thinking about your lips, your thighs, your ass... Fuck, he needs you badly but Choso is not bold enough nor confident enough to ask you out, so he tries getting content with only his hands and imagination.
His soft moans were like music, a melody waking you up from you slumber. You rubbed your tired eyes as you went to investigate the melody. As you were walking towards the beach, Choso was lost in the lust, stroking himself, with a vivid image of you. He wanted to feel you, listen to you, taste you.
"Fuck.." He softly said with shakey breath. You stood there, watching him. You stepped closer towards him, the footsteps he heard startled him. He looked over at you, with a longing smile. He held you close and started to kiss you deep. You kissed back , letting the kiss melt you away.
It was Choso's first time with you and he wanted it to be perfect, but at the same time he couldn't stop thinking about how he was going to ruin everything.
He lay between your thighs and rolled his hips in a fluid motion that allowed you to feel how precisely he his cock hit your sweet spot.
As you moaned in ecstasy, you looked up to see Choso's mouth gaped open in awe and pleasure.
"Please tell me I'm doing good." His voice cracked. “I need to know that I’m pleasing you right. I beg you.."
You gently pats his face with a assuring smile. You've never been this close with a merfolk before, it was pretty exciting for you. Your legs were wrapped around his waist as he was aligning himself to be inside you.
"It's okay, just take your time, it feels nice."
Feeling your warm hand patting his face, Choso let out a soft sigh of relief. The sensation of your touch combined with your encouraging words helped calm down some of his anxious thoughts.
With renewed confidence, he began moving again, each thrust becoming more purposeful and rhythmic. His cock slid effortlessly inside you, causing waves of pleasure to ripple through your body.
You felt every inch go inside of you, you let small moans and whimpers escape your lips. Your walls clenching his cock as you felt your eyes shut tight. The ocean was becoming wavy and wild as Choso continued to pound into you. You were his first human to have intercourse with and he wanted to make this special for the both of you.
"Fuck.." His voice cracked as he felt his cock being hugged by you.
As he continued, he noticed how your walls clenched around him tighter, urging him to go deeper. The feeling was intoxicating and it spurred him on further.
Leaning down slightly, he captured one of your nipples between his lips and gave it a gentle suck while maintaining the steady pace. A low groan escaped from deep within his chest as he felt yourself tighten even more around him.
The waves around you two were the most intense they've ever been. Soon, you felt your orgasm approach you. You screamed out as you came all over the place, water splashed as you finished up. You rode out your orgasm as he still kept going. He was close to being finished as well.
As he felt himself getting closer to release, Choso’s movements became erratic yet still deliberate. He could feel every pulse of your inner muscles against his throbbing member.
Looking up at you, he saw how much pleasure you were experiencing because of him. It fueled his desire to give you more.
Without warning, he suddenly pulled back before plunging back into you hard enough to elicit another loud moan from your lips.
Your moans started getting louder and you notice that the waves were getting more rapid and wild. Your back was arching at the constant piping and pounding. Hearing him call out your name and the water crashing into you both was such an adrenaline rush.
Your reaction was all the encouragement he needed. He leaned down once again, capturing your other nipple between his teeth this time and giving it a playful nip.
The dual sensations – of having you clench around him tightly and feeling your breasts being teased by his mouth - pushed him over the edge. With a guttural moan muffled against your skin, Choso came undone inside you.
His hips jerked erratically as wave after wave of pleasure washed over him. Each spurt of cum sent shockwaves throughout his entire body until finally he collapsed onto you in exhaustion.
After catching his breath, Choso slowly lifted his head to gaze lovingly at you. His purple eyes shone with adoration and satisfaction.
"I...I did well?" He asked tentatively, seeking validation and praise from you like a child craving approval. "Was it...enough? Did I please you?"
A hint of vulnerability crept into his usually reserved demeanor, showcasing the depth of his emotional investment in ensuring your happiness.
You placed a hand on his cheek, dazed, you gave him a passionate kiss. It feltnlike an eternity, but you pulled back with a smile on your face.
"You did amazing.." You said.
*At your words of praise, a radiant smile spread across Choso's face, lighting up his features and making him look younger and more carefree than usual. He leaned into your touch, savoring the warmth and affection emanating from you.*
"Really?" He asked, his voice tinged with wonder and delight. "I'm glad...I wanted to make this special for you."
Moving his hand to gently stroke your cheek, Choso gazed at you with adoring eyes. "You're so beautiful when you smile like that...it makes my heart flutter."
Emboldened by your positive response, he pressed a tender kiss to your forehead before snuggling closer to you, content and blissfully happy in the aftermath of their intimate encounter.
That was the best encounter you've had with this man. You wanted more of him, he looked so beautiful in the moon light. As weeks passed, he'd sneak into your house and invade your cervix and give you tender aftercare at the end of the end. He laid on his side, gently stroking your cheek, he was proud of his work and what he's done to you. You were HOOKED.
As dawn hit, he had to go back to the sea. You had the unfortunate circumstance of living in an area that wasn't too friendly to species like him. He kissed your cheek and snuck out how he snuck back in. You woke up to the othee half of the bed lighter and empty. You felt a pang of sadness, you hated he had to leave. You then noticed a note he left, you took it and read it.
"My dearest lotus,
These past months we've spent together are amazing. It kills me to be separated from you, I just want you to be safe and out of harm's way. I'd sink this entire village to see you one time."
Your one and only love,
Choso.
You looked at the letter, feeling tears well up. You didn't want to him to get hurt, you missed him terribly. You then feel a small knot in your stomach, you fell to your knees and vomited. Your eyes widened at the display. The irises in your eyes were shaking, this couldn't be happening, not now.
— shinya kamihara / edgeshot
certainly you weren't imagining you'd be opening your eyes to look at the night stand clock to find out it was four in the morning, specially thanks to your wet cunt which was having its fun inside your naughty dreams. wet and hot sounds repeating in your head as you remembered every detail of the dream. your cheeks were red and your thighs rubbing against eachother, in hope to get some friction for your needy and slick clit. you sighed, taking a look at the other side of the bed, finding your partner peacefully sleeping next to you. of course you would be bothering him, after all, he's the one your cunt was begging for and, of course, the one starring your erotic dreams. you lost no time, you got him to lay on his back to climb your way onto his crotch. you grinned in triumph before spitting your words.
"shinya" you called, no one answered "shin...~" you called a bit louder, yet in a softer tone, grinning sweetly to yourself and slowly moving your hips, in hope to wake the man up.
the third call was enough to have the hero slowly open his eyes, his mind trying to catch up with the context and why he felt a heavy presence above him. when his eyes were fully open, he analized the entire scenario, trying to figure out what was going on. why were you on top of him? why did he feel something wet on his boxers? what was with that grin on your face?
"mhmm you're awake~" you said innocently as you stared at your significant other's clueless expression.
"dear, what is the matter...? why are you awake?" he asked, watching carefully your moves "and why are you on top of me...?"
"mmh, you could already tell" your hips did another, gentle move against him, a subtle touch enough to confirm shinya's theories, his eyes widened and his cheeks turned pink "i know it's late but... i'm feeling some type of way, you know~?" you stated before actually grinding your hips to a paced rhythm over him.
"oh i see... n-no wait" was all he could mutter before gasping softly at the feeling on his crotch. he griped your thighs gently, shutting his eyes closed. this was certainly unexpected, but the hero fails to resist, it's really been a while since you've been intimate, he admits he was feeling in need lately "love..." he muttered again.
"you like it, babe?" you asked, resting your hands on his abdomen, your arms made the right pressure on your sides, making your breasts press against eachother, the view left the man breathless.
"very much, beautiful” he caresses your thighs so lovingly, squishing them from time to time. his cock slowly growing harder inside his boxers, the wetness between your legs was slowly driving him crazy, needy and melodic moans slipping out of his mouth, making your cunt twitch "can i make love to you?" he asks with no hesitation.
"until dawn, shin~"
— kai chisaki / overhaul
your boyfriend was never a heavy sleeper, you knew it. if you tried to move during nightime even to change your position, there was a chance he'd open his eyes to check nothing weird was happening. but god, tonight was different, your cunt was dripping like crazy, you were silently rubbing your thighs hoping some friction would help. it didn't help. actually it made it worse. having erotic dreams with kai involved was such a turn on, it made you so hungry for him.
you couldn't help it anymore, you decided to make a move. you turned to your sleeping boyfriend who laid on his side, he looked so cute asleep, you wished you could see this calm in him often, too bad he was going to be woken up for this atypical purpose. you gently grabbed his shoulder and made him lay on his back, waking him up almost instantly.
"what are you doing?" his sleepy and grumpy voice complained, eyes slowly opening as you made your way on top of him.
he opened his eyes fully and stared at you sitting on his crotch, kai hummed, this was uncommon he thought and didn't quite know how to react at first due to his sleepy numbness, he felt something wet and hot on his clothed cock, rapidily deducing the reason behind your behaviour.
"i see" he said "it's too late for this, go back to sleep" his response left you astonished and outraged.
"aren't you going to do something about this??" you frowned, frustrated by the thought of kai not taking responsability for the problem he didn't know he caused.
"i am not" a grimace planted on your face "now get off me, your wetness is making me feel... weird" he stared at the union between your crotches, you definitely were wet, your fluids already moistened your underwear and now they got his own wet aswell. you didn't want to give up, you didn't want to end up masturbating alone without chisaki's touch, that wasn't fair (to you)
"so you're not taking responsability for what you did?" you teased with hope.
"...? i'm failing to understand your accusation" he frowned, now offended, how could his sleep being interrumpted in the middle of the night by you be his fault?
"you can't just play around in my dreams, there's no way you get to rail me nonstop and have me all messy and whiny beneath you while i cry out your name" your hips grinding over him again "jeez, i even felt bad for having overhaul being the one to fuck me so hard, i felt i was wasting his time since he is always so busy planning on destroying hero society. how could i be fine with myself knowing i'm just the king's little slut?"
the mention of his alias was something he could hardly ever resist to, every single statement of yours where you refered to him as someone superior and powerful was such a tease, specially when it was about sex, he owned you and you know he owns you and the fact that he was able to get that idea inside your dreams, fuck, he suddenly felt a rush of adrenaline through his veins.
"king's little slut, huh?" he consulted, despite hearing you clearly.
"mhmm, i'm your little slut, all just for you" you continued to tease him, rubbing your cunt harder against his clothed cock.
kai's gloved hands grasped your thighs, pressing them tightly, roughly one might say, making you grind rougher above him. you moaned outloud at the constant friction against your heat, you were almost hitting an orgasm and he knew it.
"tell me who you belong to, princess" he demanded, now digging his nails in the skin of your ass.
"you darling, i belong to you and you only~!" you moaned out, reaching a fast paced rhythm against his crotch and reaching an orgasm sooner than you ever did, sighing and whimpering in relief for your release "oh my god~" you threw your head back, rubbing again slowly against him to feel the last bits of orgasm you had left.
"thank me, princess" kai demanded once again, staring at you with those deep and sinister eyes, feeling his ego reach a new level at the view of you crumbling above him with little to no job.
"thank you, overhaul, thank you so much~"
— keigo takami / hawks
"babe?" was the first thing he said after waking up to you sitting on top of him.
"oh fuck, thank god you're awake..." your voice moaned in a desperate tone.
he was noticeably concerned for a moment but the second he realized what was actually happening, his concerns vanished being replaced by a deep blush on his face. he was speechless for a moment and stares down at his clearly soaked boxers and your clothed cunt grinding against them. your pussy was aching and so needy, you've been rubbing against him for at least ten minutes now.
"s-sorry for waking you up like this, baby... it, it was too much for me t-to handle it without you... sorry" you apologized, you let your head down in total embarassment and shame, only for keigo to reach your face with his hand and speak.
"hey, hey, pumpkin it's alright, i'm not upset, i was just caught off guard" he makes a pause before he grins, looking down at you "how's my little pussy today?"
"it's sore... and wet, i need you, babe, i really need you..." you whimper, your knees and thighs were aching from constantly moving like that.
"shh, i know, babe" he caresses your cheek lovingly as he whispers "imma give you all you need, just follow my lead~"
— tomura shigaraki (s1)
the quiet room was filled by small and gentle moans, not exactly from you, the one grinding their cunt against shigaraki's body, but from him, who was unconsciously getting a boner in his sleep, his dreams suddenly taking a suggestive turn before a loud groan left your mouth, finally waking him up. his eyes widen rapidly at the view of you sitting on top of him, rubbing your clothed pussy on his also clothed cock, which was already hard from you constantly rubbing it in his sleep.
"what the hell are you doing?!" his tone of voice is craspy and startled, he is sure he has never been in this position with you before.
"oh you're awake. finally, i've been trying to pleasure myself for the past 20 minutes, you're a heavy sleeper aren't you?~" your tone was an amused one, you were definitely teasing him as you continued to move on top of him.
"gah, stop that's disgusti.. ah!~" his voice breaks at you jumping slightly on his cock once, you laugh at his reaction.
"ah, yes, try to stop me shiggy, i bet you won't be able to, cause you're so pathetic and weak, you can't even take usj without failing misserably" every single one of your insults made his cock twich in excitement and anger, he can't help but groan at you, irritated.
his hips suddenly lifted towards you in a pathetic attempt to keep you moving, which you didn't allow, you pressed his lower abdomen with your hand, keeping him in place.
"oh don't even think about it, we're doing this my way, you annoying bitch~"
girl at home | mat barzal | part 4
After your unexpected heart-to-heart with Mat, you begin to realize that you’re starting to tread on some thin ice with your relationship with him. Letting those feelings you’d tucked away start to come back was a recipe for disaster because you had Nora to think about. If he really wanted to be a part of her life, the two of you couldn’t start a relationship because if it went wrong, it would ruin the opportunity for him to be in her life comfortably.
However, the problem is how perceptive Nora can be.
Letting yourself have ‘just one moment’ with Mat last night was a bad idea because you wake up on the couch the next morning, Mat holding you close, and a grumpy six-year-old demanding breakfast.
“Eggs please,” Nora demands, curious eyes watching you and Mat. When you make no move to get up off the couch and get her breakfast, she stomps a foot and crosses her arms.
“Grandma said I could have eggs for breakfast,” she says and then pauses before adding: “and she said I could have pancakes. Chocolate chip pancakes.”
“You’re not at grandma’s, are you?” you reply, watching her frown.
“Well then can you bring me to grandma’s?” she replies without missing a beat.
You open your mouth to tell her no, you won’t be bringing her to grandmas with that attitude when Mat interrupts.
“I’ll make some pancakes,” he mumbles sleepily, sitting up and pulling you with him. You turn to tell him no but your mouth goes dry because you forgot how good he looks in the morning. You’re staring long enough that he notices and a smirk tugs at his mouth but he doesn’t say anything, instead standing up and offering a hand to Nora.
“Let’s go make mom some pancakes,” he says and she smiles up at him and it’s just so damn domestic that you want to cry.
You watch them walk over to the kitchen and start preparing the ingredients while you sit there, trying to pull yourself together. He’s falling so seamlessly into being a parent that you can’t decide how to feel. His attentiveness and patience with her could be temporary and then when he realizes how hard being a parent really is, you’ll be left to clean up the mess he leaves behind. On the other hand, he might be serious about the entire thing and everything could work out.
Nora's giggles catch your attention and you look to see Mat cracking an egg on her forehead like the video he had sent you a few days ago, claiming that he would try it on Nora. Almost as if he can sense that you’re watching them, he looks up and catches your eye and grins, tilting his head slightly.
“You wanna help or just sit there all morning?” he teases so you stand up and make your way to the kitchen to stand next to Nora, kissing the forehead when she grins up at you.
“How can I help?”
. . .
It was inevitable that the hockey world would catch wind that Mathew Barzal had a child. Whether it was his now ex-girlfriend, or just someone from home that spilled the beans, suddenly all the sports sites had articles up about it. They can't legally say Nora’s name or show photos of her because she’s still a minor, but they can definitely dig up old high school pictures and find your instagram.
It wasn’t hard to put the pieces together for people to realize that you were his baby mama. You had to turn your social media accounts private because you were suddenly having people comment on your photos, and sending DM’s. Most of them weren’t the nicest, accusing you of kid-trapping Mat and while you knew that it was useless to be upset over it, it was hard. They didn’t and would never know the details but it bothered you to no end, and unfortunately, you took your frustration out on Mat, who took whatever you threw at him. You said things you regretted the next morning and he would just smile and tell you it was fine.
But it wasn’t, and everything crashed down about two weeks after the first article was posted. You woke up to your phone buzzing, calls and texts from your mom, Jax, some other friends and even Liana.
And a single text from Mat that had just two words, and a link attached.
baby daddy: I'm sorry. instagram.com/matbarzal
It was a statement, clearly written by a PR Manager from the Islanders organization. The statement basically said that Mathew Barzal did not in fact have a child. It was just a rumor floating around that a disgruntled fan spread. A lot of people called it bullshit, saying that it was PR cleaning up a mess, which technically they were doing. Then, there were the fans and journalists who did believe the statement and tried to take back whatever they may have said that was mean.
It wasn’t the things other people were saying about it though, it was what Mat wasn’t saying. After the post, he ghosted you for four days, ignoring all the texts and calls even when they were about Nora. Liana and Nadia still asked to see Nora on the weekend that she normally does so you dropped her off Friday evening, noticing that Mat’s car was nowhere to be seen. Nadia and Liana didn’t say anything about the situation, just thanking you for letting Nora stay over for the night and promising to call if anything came up. You didn’t have anything planned so you went back to your apartment, hoping to catch up on some overdue work you’d been letting pile up.
Halfway through writing a draft for a chapter, there’s a knock on your door. You’re once again suspecting it to be Nadia or Liana with Nora but you come face to face with Mat.
Again.
His eyes are trained on the ground, refusing to meet yours. There are a thousand things you want to say, most of them not nice at all but what comes out is: “beer?”
His head shoots up, clearly not expecting that response from you but he nods his head and walks in when you step to the side. He toes off his shoes and walks straight towards the kitchen. By instinct, he opens the fridge to get himself a drink and then pauses, looking at you sheepishly.
“Beer?”
“Water,” you reply and he nods, passing you a bottle of water. You both sit at the kitchen island, drinking your respectable drinks in silence until he clears his throat.
“I’m sorry,” he says. “I didn’t know that they were going to write that. Our public relations manager wrote it and just told me to post it. My agent asked her to clean things up a little because it was getting out of hand. I didn’t want to hurt you or Nora, I swear.”
“It’s too late for that,” you say sharply. “You said you want to be in Nora’s life but she can’t be a secret, Mat! You can’t say you want to try, and then turn around and tell the world that she’s not yours. If you’re not going to be in this one-hundred percent, then you shouldn’t be here at all.”
He must take your last statement as a dismissal because he stands up, slips his shoes on and leaves, closing the door a little harder than necessary.
You sit in silence far too long, part of you foolishly hoping that Mat will come back but you know he won’t. Not today at least. So, you go back to working on your draft but you can’t focus. Part of you wants to try and put yourself in his shoes, to try and understand why he didn’t fight harder against what public relations wanted but you can’t. You can’t imagine not being Nora’s mom and you wonder if maybe this is the way out he was hoping for. Maybe he decided that being a parent was fun for a little while, but when he understood the real consequences and struggles that come along with it, he realized he didn’t want it. That he didn’t want Nora.
Maybe this is his out.
Star-Crossed by Choice: Chapter 3
Yandere Raihan & Leon with Champion Darling
Pokemon SwSh and SV Crossover
<< Chapter 1 | 2
Masterlist
apologies for the sudden hiatus yall ;-; i've been pulling midnight days almost every day for the past month for work on top of dealing with quite a severe writer block - things has been calming down somewhat so I look forward to ramping up my writing again! thank you for your patience :3
“You ungrateful little whore,” Raihan all but snarled out, the whites of his gritted teeth glinting in the dim street light as he stared you down.
Your body instantly reacted, attempting to stumble back and away despite having collapsed on the ground, your trembling gaze all but locked on Raihan’s icy teals, unable to turn away. If looks could kill, you wouldn’t be dead, no - the fate that awaited you was so much worse than the kind embrace of death. Your Cinderace let out an uncertain trill as it looked back at you, quickly followed by an annoyed one as it shifted to block your view of the gym leader. The astute Pokemon you had the honor to call your partner was more than well aware of the situation, though its efforts did little to stop the shivers that wrecked your body as you tried and failed to force yourself to get up and move.
Raihan was hardly deterred. “After all I’ve done for you, after all you’ve put me through-” The taller man took a step forward, his towering shadow falling over you, eyes almost seeming to glow in the dark and he stared you down. “This is how you repay my love?”
It was as if your Cinderace barely existed between the two of you, those narrowed eyes piercing straight past the Pokemon and into your soul, a shot from a harpoon that hooked into your flesh and froze you in place. There was no right answer to his question, even if you could muster the words to reply, because there wasn’t supposed to be one; you were never right. Only wrong.
The town of Cortando was predictably quiet at this time of the night, with residents and student visitors having long retreated into their beds to prepare for the coming day. You envied them - and you always had - having the freedom that the new dawn would bring to look forward to. And even though you treasured every day you could roam the rolling hills of Paldea, free from the shackled throne you were forced to sit upon in Galar, it wasn’t without needing to constantly look over your back for the monsters that lurked in the shadows.
And now, the freedom you had so carefully constructed for yourself was threatening to shatter before your eyes.
You gulped, pleading eyes sliding to glance at Nemona, who was still staring blankly at the whole ongoing shitshow. What now? Could you simply give all this up? Go back to the safety of what you knew? You had to, your mind screamed at you. Concede now, surrender and return peacefully before it’s too late, and you could maybe still enjoy some semblance of the miniscule comfort you had before your abrupt escape.
But it was your heart and the sinking feeling in the base of your gut that told you the truth. That it was already too late for you: you had forced the Hammerlocke gym leader into giving up all pretense of playing the persona he was so loved for, and like an awakened dragon, the man you faced was now one usually reserved only for you and your transgressions against him. Allowing others to lay eyes on such a private side of him would hardly be kind to you if Raihan got his way.
“Hey! Eyes here while I’m talking to you,” the man snapped, and your gaze immediately jumped back to meet his, the hair on the back of your neck standing as you realized that you had been too obvious in allowing your attention to waver away from Raihan. If Cinderace hadn’t been between the two of you, you were sure around your neck was exactly where the other’s hands would be at this precise point in time. “Do I mean so little to you now, princess? Just trash to be cast aside, huh?”
What now? What else?
Yet that was hardly the whole sum of your issues at the moment. Allowing your eyes to slide away from Raihan once more as the man continued to vent and rant to himself, and there in the dim yellow light waited another patient pair, Leon looking deceptively relaxed from where he was leaned against an unassuming lamppost lazily scanning his surroundings, just a stone’s throw behind the hoodie-touting gym leader. And as if he could feel your wide-eyed stare, the ex-Champion looked up, catching your eyes lingering on him. Smirking as he dropped whatever it was that he had been tossing from one hand to the other, the purple-haired man leisurely strolled over, clapping one hand over an unusually agitated Raihan’s shoulder. “Calm, Raihan,” Leon smirked, golden eyes having never left yours. “She’s still here.”
Raihan let out an annoyed tsk, shaking Leon off of him, though the gym leader did take a deep breath and calmed down.
I’m still here, you repeated mentally. So close where they could almost grasp you, your eyes flickering between the two as their shadow only seemed to grow longer and longer, swallowing you up and dragging you further from the light, yet so far away. Your chances to get away were only getting slimmer with every passing minute. Having to shake Raihan off was one thing, with the blue-eyed man’s seemingly dragon-like senses and his ability to read you like an open book, but adding Leon into the equation was a whole different ball game.
But you had to try. Giving up and returning to that life that awaited you, it simply wasn’t an option, if not for you, then for your beloved Pokemon friends. You’ve already beaten them once, you tried to reassure yourself. All that time ago, when you had become Galar Champion, and then again and again every Championship. Slowly, painstakingly slowly, you shifted your hand, dipping into your pocket to pull out a small clicker, all the while wrecking your brains to come up with a plan. You just had to beat them again this time. Give up, those nagging voices at the back of your mind urged again.
Far from the rage that Raihan had worked himself into, Leon was still calm and collected, the tanned man with a mob of purple hair reaching out towards you, offering one ungloved hand as if an olive branch. “It’s time to come home, love,” he reassured. “It’s not too late. Everything’ll go back to normal, same way it always was, if you come home with us now. I promise.”
A lie. You know better to fall for those honeyed words - that hadn’t been a question but an order. You closed your eyes, letting out a shuddering breath. It was all too much for you.
Those amber eyes moved to lock onto your Cinderace. “And you. Return to your Pokeball.”
Your partner pokemon bristled, letting out a warning growl.
Leon had always frightened you, more than Raihan ever did. The Dragon gym leader had always been very obvious, very deliberate with his actions, never bothering to hide his intentions, to the extent of making it public to his leagues of fans the moment you were in his grasp. But you hadn’t even noticed the once-undefeated Champion’s claws wrapping around you until he already had you trapped.
The glimpse of purple hair you kept catching from the corner of your eye had you momentarily thinking of Hop, your oldest and dearest friend that you had left behind in Galar. You wondered how he was doing, whether he still thought of you like you did of him. Whether he had already achieved his goal of researching rare pokemon. Whether he still looked up to his older brother after what Leon had done to him the day you toppled Goliath and became reigning Champion.
You thought about writing to him from time to time, especially during those lonely nights when you camped out in the far corner of some field, stoking a crackling fire under the twinkling stars with your Pokemon fast asleep around you. You remembered when Hop would join you to feast on curry when the two of you were kids, when neither had any worries beyond homework and whether the channels would have the latest episode of your favorite show. But you had always decided against it at the end of the day, worried about being tracked down should Leon get a hold of one - and you could only offer simple wishes up to whatever deity was listening that Hop was doing well.
Fat load of good that did you.
Your hand moved fast, tapping away on the converted morse paddle key hidden to the side of your body: non-verbal instructions to your Cinderace. Not only was it a system that both you and your Pokemon were well accustomed with, having practiced it again and again throughout the course of the Galar Championships and beyond, but it also took advantage of Pokemon’s natural heightened senses and your two self-established “guardians” inability to understand. And you knew your partner heard you loud and clear, the bunny Pokemon’s ear twitching in acknowledgement despite keeping its back turned to you.
Though despite your best attempts, your unspoken communication didn’t go unnoticed. Leon’s face darkened, in step with Raihan snarling. “Not going to use your words?” “What did I say about clicking?”
Fortunately, right on cue, Cinderace took a quick swipe at them, forcing the two men back a few paces to avoid the tip of its feet before your partner retreated back to stand guard in front of you.
The breeze had picked up once more, carrying with it the calls of Hoothoot and the rustle of grass from outside of town, the fields alive with nocturnal Pokemon. You shivered in the warm wind, your mind racing. One step down, countless more to go. Could you pull it off?
It was far too obvious that you weren’t giving up the fight just yet, Raihan mused, sharp eyes lasering in on you as you kept your gaze downturned and focused on the ground, his grin only seeming to lengthen with the shadows that danced in the night. Sure, you had always been on the timid, shy side, even to the point of being a selective mute, but he could tell this was one of those rare times where your instinct to struggle against the current bubbled to the surface. You had always been a crafty little thing when you needed to.
Yet the scales were still tipped in his favor.
“Fiery,” the Hammerlocke gym leader all but purred out, pulling your attention out from your thoughts. “You sure you wanna do that though?” He reached into his pocket, and you flinched on instinct. Good.
Pulling out an all-too familiar Pokeball, the orb was clutched in one tanned hand held halfway out, just enough for the light to catch its top.
You turned pale, staggering to your feet immediately, your eyes locked on that ball. No doubt you would easily recognise the Pokeball he now held as your own: the once-glossy red surface painstakingly decorated with cute little details that he imagined you carving with the tip of a knife in the light of a campfire once upon a time, far out in the Wild Area and away from prying eyes. “You know who this is, don’t you, lil champ?”
You couldn’t tear your eyes away, tears beginning to well in the corner of your already swollen eyes as you tried to shake your head, attempting to plead silently to spare you the pain.
Ah that helpless, what a sight for sore eyes indeed. If only you could voice that plea.
And with a quick toss, it was clear to the hooded trainer that he had only confirmed your worst nightmares, Lapras bursting forth and manifesting before Cinderace with a cry. Back when he had let his guard down and allowed you to escape from his grasp back in Galar, you had managed to slip away with just six of your Pokemon - your prized Pokemon to say the least, given those six formed the core of your Championship team. But, Raihan smirked, casually sliding both hands into the pockets of his hoodie, it was no secret you cared deeply for all your Pokemon, and those you left behind were still in his and Leon’s possession.
Even your Cinderace seemed uncertain of the evolving situation, breaking its fighting stance to glance between you and its former ally.
Now, what were you going to do next?
Your world felt like it was on the brink of imploding, the very air just a wrong touch away from collapsing around you. That wretched thick black collar that hung from Lapras’ neck, one you were all too familiar with - you could barely bite back the whimper that you felt threatening to escape from your throat. Whatever you did, one wrong move and you would once again be the sole cause of the world of suffering Lapras would be put through.
You shaking met Lapras’ eyes, to which the Pokemon let out a mournful sigh, and Cinderace returned a sad trill. It wasn’t the first time both had found the other on opposing sides since you had your living arrangement forcibly updated at the end of the Galar Championship, but neither liked the outcome. Maybe Leon and Raihan were right. Maybe you should just give in and end the pain.
“Just leave her alone already!” A sudden interruption that sliced through the silence of the night like a hot knife through butter, and Nemona came stomping over from behind him, an uncharacteristically furious expression painted across the usually cheery girl. “She doesn’t want to go with you!” With a distinct lack of fear in her eyes and a lack of care for who your two pursuers were on the world stage, your friend marched past them without a second glance, putting herself squarely on your side and in your corner.
The Champion-ranked trainer turned to you. “Don’t get me wrong, I most definitely want to have a battle with you once all this blows over,” she declared, pausing for a moment before continuing on. “And I want to know everything. But I’m on your side. Got it?”
You simply nodded.
There was little question that Raihan and Leon would be angry, and you didn’t need to look to know just how downright pissed they were. Instead opting to turn your gaze to Nemona then to the ground, it was as if your mind had connected the dots faster than you could have realized, and you had to take a second look at the uniform-clad girl. Right before it hit you like a charging Rhyhorn, the sudden realization instantly shaking your entire perspective and turning your world upside down.
You were no longer in Galar.
Yes, there was no doubt that Raihan and Leon were still Master Class trainers that have conquered the World Coronation Championships, and were most definitely famous even here in Paldea as the famous Dragon Gym Leader of Hammerlocke and the former Galar Champion. But missing were the leagues of women who would throw their weeks away to comb every inch of grass for signs of you on Raihan’s command. And gone were the nosy trainers who would be more than happy to turn over information on your location just for a word of praise from Leon, or the crowds of your self-declared fans who could recognize you turned inside out from a yard away.
They were as good as nobodies here, and so were you.
And now all the wheels began to turn. The modified morse paddle key that served as your clicker went into overdrive as you tried to get your thoughts out to Cinderace as fast as your fingers could go.
You could get away. There was still a way out for you.
Raihan seemed to have caught on to the sudden hope that surged in your veins, the toothy grin on his face dropping as he narrowed his eyes. “Lapras, Hydro Pump,” he ordered.
Lapras resisted, letting out a defiant cry as it rebelled against his orders. Your countdown has started.
Two clicks, and your Cinderace leapt forward, foot extended to land a Double Kick.
You didn’t look to see if the attack landed, attempting to turn out all external sounds from your buzzing ears; the butterflies in your chest already made it hard enough to keep breathing. Instead, you cleared your throat, your mouth moving as you tried to force a word, a sound, anything from your vocal chords. “S-St-” You exhaled, shuddering, your efforts going unnoticed amidst the chaos of the moment.
The Dragon Gym Leader had withdrawn a small remote, a promise, not a threat. “Lapras, use Hydro Pump,” he ordered again.
It wasn’t enough. A full word. All you needed was a single full word. If not for yourself, then for the hell that your Pokemon had been through - there was no other choice. You had to do it.
Nemona’s eyebrows were furrowed as she watched the battle go down, the other three trainers paying little attention to you as you carefully tiptoed over to retrieve your backpack off the ground, the clock in your head ticking down slowly but surely. Tick tock, the nagging voices in your head whispered to you. Tick tock.
There was little time to decide what the right move was, whether you did the right thing; you simply rationalized that you should pick whoever you wouldn’t mind being stuck with again should you have to return to Galar. Raihan did treat you like royalty whenever he wasn't angry at some unspoken rule that you unknowingly broke, and would only increase should you pick him, with the downside being the numerous eyes and constant spotlight that followed the popular trainer around. While no doubt that Leon’s treatment of you would improve greatly if you picked him, the man had always been very demanding, holding you to an impossible standard.
Reaching into your backpack right for your Pokemon as Cinderace dodged the jet of water aimed at him, everything that happened next took but a blink of an eye.
All you could muster the strength to mutter was a single word, yet it was enough. A broken whisper of a single syllabus, mumbled by a hoarse voice that didn’t seem to see much use. “Raihan-”
Both men instantly startled, amber and aqua eyes snapping straight to yours as their jaws dropped. But it was all the distraction you needed.
Click. Your Vileplume manifested, instantly using Stun Spore, with both Vileplume Cinderace being recalled to their respective balls before the yellow dust even touched the ground.
You grabbed Nemona’s arm, yanking her backwards with surprising strength as you clutched your backpack tight to your chest. Another shrill song as Gardevoir manifested, the Psychic pokemon lightly touching its green sleeve-like arms to you, using Teleport.
And in under a minute, your little group was gone, vanishing without a trace from Cortondo.
“She-she said my name,” Raihan mumbled again and again, sounding very much star-struck. “My name. M-”
“Shut the fuck up,” Leon snapped back, annoyed.
Being left sprawled on the ground waiting for the effects of the paralysis to fade didn’t help much with the former Galar Champion’s mood, even less so when you had been just an arm’s length away. One grab away from going back to how life had been with you. And now, Leon had to live with the fact that after years and years of patience, waiting eagerly for a chance to hear your elusive voice. Soft and gentle, like the trickle of a river, your voice had been everything he ever imagined and more - and it was his rival’s name that left your lips first.
It must be her, the purple-haired man fumed, a soft glow of red as an equally paralyzed Lapras was recalled to its ball by a giddy, giggling Raihan. That stupid Champion-ranked girl with the green highlighted hair. All his time and effort, taming and training you into his love - and she had broken his perfect you the moment his back was turned. All his work for nothing, gone like sand art at high tide.
Letting out a groan as Leon finally felt control of his body return, he could only slam the back of his head into the dust once in frustration before standing.
Raihan had won this fight, but Leon sure as hell was going to make sure he wins the war.
Author's Note: This took me so long to write, my writer's block just would not leave me. I hope you all like it, I'm definitely still writing for the others in Kinktober, I know I am very late. But after focusing on my health, it's left me with little time to write.
“It’s not fair, how come Wrecker and Crosshair gets to stay behind with you” Omega complained, hanging off the back of the flight chair, as you attempted to appear exhausted and in pain.
“Sorry, Omega, I guess they drew the short straw” you apologised, genuinely feeling sorry for the young girl. But it had been nearly 27 days since the last time you had gotten any kind of intimacy with your partners. You were going to do anything it takes at this point to get them alone.
“But Wrecker and I normally buy sweets for the way back to the ship” she pouted, sighing heavily as she rested her head on the seat.
“I know Omega, how about you bring him some back for when we’re ready to head off. I’m sure he’d love that” you suggested, squeezing her shoulder as you crouched down in front of her. Making sure that you were looking at her from her height, you took her smaller hand in yours and gave it a gentle squeeze. “I also have an important job for you as well, do you think you can do that, Omega?” you told her, watching as she stood up straight and looked at you eagerly.
“I can do that!” she assured, stepping closer to you.
“Thank you, sweetheart. I need to get some Kashyyyk nuts from the market. My mother used to give them to me as a snack when I wasn’t feeling well. Do you think you can get them for me?” you asked her, smiling at the way her eyes widened in surprise. You didn’t really talk much about your family, and she had never had a typical family, so she was always eager to know more about you.
“Of course! I’ll find them for you, I promise. I’m going to tell Hunter about my mission!” Omega swore, face going stern and determined before she raced off down the ramp to where Hunter and Wrecker was unloading crates from the ship. Hunter looked up at you, obviously catching your conversation, raised an eyebrow and shook his head, turning back to listen to what Omega was telling him.
“That was cruel, sending her out to get something that you know she’ll never be able to find on this planet. Kashyyyk doesn’t export here” a voice from the cockpit stated, and you turned to see Echo leaning against the door.
“Only a little, it’ll wear her out for you while you’re gathering supplies” you agreed, wincing at the lie that you had told the young girl. “Besides, if her brothers would let me, Wrecker, and Crosshair have some alone time together, then I wouldn’t have to resort to such desperate measures” you said pointedly, tapping his chest plate as he passed you to the ramp.
“You have plenty of alone time in the bunks, we can all hear you” Echo grimaced, remembering all the times he had woken up to the sounds of pleasure before he had stuffed his pillow over his head.
Flushing, you couldn’t help but admit he was right about that. “It’s not the same though. Besides, Hunter said it was fine that they stay here” you shrugged, remembering that conversation. It had been embarrassing for the both of you.
“Partly so that he doesn’t have to deal with Crosshair’s increasingly irritating behaviour” Tech grumbled, coming out the bunks with said trooper in tow. Tech was going through the inventory that they already had, creating a list of everything they needed to get.
However your eyes fell on his brother behind him, dressed in only his blacks, a toothpick rolling in his mouth. His eyes met yours and they softened, losing that annoyance that was present in them more and more as the days dragged on.
As soon as you were in reaching distance, he wrapped his arm around your waist and tugged you into him, burying his face into your hair. “Hey kitten” he greeted quietly, keeping you as close to him as possible.
“Hey Cross” you smiled, leaning into him and taking in his soothing scent. He must have freshly showered, the smell of his body wash and shampoo was extra strong today. No wonder Hunter was off the ship.
“Please do not engage in sexual intercourse on my desk or my bunk. There are a number of delicate projects that I do not want you breaking” Tech interrupted, looking between you two but focusing his scowl on Crosshair.
“It was worth it, you should have seen the way she-” Cross smirked, squeezing your hips and watching as both Echo and Tech looked disgusted at that.
“Cross!” you hissed, slamming a hand over his mouth before he could finish that sentence. They didn’t want to know, and you certainly didn’t want them knowing.
However, you were thankfully rescued from the mortifying situation.
“Alright, we’re ready to head out. Do you need anything else while we’re gone?” Hunter announced, coming up the ramp with Wrecker and Omega behind him.
“Nothing that you can provide” Crosshair sneered, his voice dripping with annoyance that they were still here. There was a lot of snickers from his brothers and Wrecker full out laughed at that. Noticing Omega’s confused look between everyone, you subtly shoved your elbow into his ribs.
“Why? What are you going to need when we’re gone? Are you really sick?” Omega questioned, turning her concerned and confused eyes onto you.
Pushing Cross away from you so you could comfort his sister, you shook your head and gave her a warm hug. “I’m okay, Omega, I promise. Nothing that a bit of bed rest and some snacks won’t fix. I’m just feeling a bit under the weather today, Cross and Wrecker was kind enough to keep me company and help” you assured, pulling away from her to see her acceptance of your words.
“Well, now that’s sorted, we’d best be going if we want to be back before dark” Echo decided, ushering Omega and Tech down the ramp and off the ship, a hand on Omega’s shoulder and scomp on Tech’s.
“Alright, keep your comms on. I mean it this time, we won’t call, and you better not call us unless you want to scar our baby sister. But just in case, keep them on” Hunter ordered the three remaining members of his squad, looking between you all.
“Will do! Have fun!” Wrecker called, pulling you into his arms and pressing a kiss to your temple. You couldn’t help but smile, leaning back into his wonderful embrace.
Hunter stopped just before the gangway, looking back with a narrowed eyed look. “And I want this ship thoroughly cleaned before we come back!” he demanded, voice stern and full of the Sergeant tone that he used while on the battlefield.
“Yes, Sarge!” you promised, hoping he would at least believe you. It was probably an awful smell to come back to. Your brothers fucking their girlfriend over the ship and not being able to air out the ship enough for it to go before take off.
Hunter’s lips twitched into a fond smile before giving you a lazy salute and headed off to catch up with the others.
“Finally!” Crosshair growled, hand clutching at the nape of your neck and bringing you in for a rough kiss. His lips pressed against yours, grazing his teeth along your bottom lip before licking it soothingly as he pulled away.
Giggling, you turned back to Wrecker, standing on your tip toes to kiss him as well.
Wrecker let out a chuckle, wrapping his arms around your waist and picking you up, closing the distance between you as you cupped his face, deepening the kiss now that you were the same height. “Feels so good to be holding you like this, mesh’la” Wrecker’s deep, soothing voice murmured. You could feel the vibrations echo form his chest to yours from how tight you were pressed against him.
“Me too! It’s been way too long since we’ve been able to do this” you agreed, pressing your lips to his once more. He ran a hand up your spine, following the contours of your body before threading his fingers through your hair and holding you in place as his lips explored yours.
“Never thought that after a kid our sex lives would dwindle so much” Crosshair grumbled, his dark eyes observing every move you and Wrecker made with each other.
Wrecker leaned forward and whacked him in the shoulder, sending the lithe clone jolting forward. “Cut it out! You love Omega just as much as the rest of us!” Wrecker objected, shaking his head at his brother.
“Maybe even more” you added, smirk playing on your lip. Crosshair was definitely the worse one when it came to looking after Omega, he was so protective and considerate of her. Cross had been right, he was certainly worse than Hunter. “But I can’t deny that it’s been a long time since we’ve managed to get alone time. Not that I’m complaining, that little girl is worth it” you grinned, as Wrecker put you back down on the floor.
Crosshair hummed, pulling you back into him so that his chest was pressed against your back. He refused to dignify that statement with an answer. It was well known that Crosshair worried about Omega more than Hunter did, loved her just as fiercely, but he wasn’t going to admit it out loud. Not even to his lover and brother.
Sighing softly at the feel of his warmth seeping into your back, you leaned heavily against him, turning to nuzzle at his jaw. Smiling, you felt the sharp shooter relax, his arms wrapping around your waist as he pressed a kiss to your cheek. One hand slid up your loose top, his lithe fingers drawing small patterns on your stomach and hips. Grinning, you struggled not to move under his tickling touch, but you couldn’t help the small giggle that escaped you.
“You’re wearing too many clothes” his raspy voice caressed your ear and you rolled your eyes, sending a smile towards Wrecker at Crosshair’s words.
“Oh am I?” you drawled, spinning around in his arms to tug on his own shirt, “I’m wearing just as much as you.”
“She’s got you there, vod!” Wrecker agreed, hands landing on your shoulders and sliding down your back before trailing back up, beginning to massage your shoulders.
Letting out a sigh, you couldn’t help but appreciate Wrecker’s firm but relaxing touch. It had been a while since you had last had a massage and you could feel the tension bleed out of you. His thumb pressed against a particular large knot in your shoulder blade and you let out a groan, resting your head on Cross’ chest.
“Hmm, you’re so good at this Wrecker. Going to leave me in a puddle before we even start” you murmured, playing with the buttons of Cross’ shirt. You began to work them loose, exposing more of his skin to you. His body wasn’t as scarred at the others, due to the nature of his role on the squad as the sniper, but there was a particular one from a well aimed shot that always caught your attention. It was just below his left pec, a shot had glanced off his ribs luckily, but if it had been a few more inches to the right, it would have killed him. So you always laid a kiss to the scar, thanking the stars and whatever Gods or Goddesses out there that he had survived.
Crosshair grunted, cheeks heating at your attention to his scar, glad that you couldn’t see his face. It always sent warmth flooding through his body at your gentle kisses and sweet touches to the parts that many would find unattractive. He had asked you once why you did it, why you paid so much attention to the scars that littered both his and Wrecker’s body. He still remembers the sad look that had crossed your face, as you admitted that they were a reminder that they were here with you, that the universe had decided to save him and his brother for you. That night, none of you had gotten any sleep.
“We’re wasting time” Cross grumbled, pushing you away slightly so he could begin working on the clothes that kept your beautiful body away from their gazes.
“You’re in a hurry!” Wrecker teased, as his large hands landed on your waist and began to unbuckle your trousers, sliding them down your hips.
“Why am I the only one getting undressed here?!” you laughed, shimmying in Wrecker’s hands out of your trousers and kicking them away from you. Turning around, you raised an eyebrow at Wrecker and tugged on the top half of his civvie clothes. “Strip!” you ordered him, voice firm but playful.
“Yes ma’am” he saluted, hurrying to pull off his top.
You turned to Crosshair, already seeing him shrug off his shirt. Perfect, this was exactly what you wanted. Your two perfect lovers, displaying themselves for you after so long. Your lustful eyes ran over them, taking in the scars that dotted and speckled their tanned skins.
Wrecker was large, his size dwarfing you, but he always made you feel so safe. His large arms were thicker than your face, but they could pick you up and hold you close to him whenever you weren’t feeling too good or whenever you just wanted to be held by the loveable giant. His scar on the left side of his face ran down his neck and across his shoulders. It was something he was very mindful of, especially with the scar being so prominent on his face, but you loved it, reassuring him over and over that he was handsome, that you loved him and that he should be proud of how far he had come since the blast that had taken his eye and damaged his hearing. He was more than just his injury.
Crosshair was always a treat to watch as he revealed himself for you. His long, slender body was so wonderful to be pressed against. All the batch was different shapes and sizes, but Crosshair was beautiful. He had the grace and fluidity of a dancer, able to move quickly and efficiently without worrying if he was going to hit a shot. His broad shoulders and large arms weren’t as big as Wrecker’s – not many people could be – but they were just as wonderful to hold onto. They were so strong as well, capable of picking you up and hoisting you around. Carrying around his sniper gun and keeping still for hours at a time had done wonders for Cross’ body. And his eyes were so expressive, his face may be as blank as a sheet of flimsi but his eyes told everyone what he was really thinking. At least according to you, Crosshair protested that everyone else could read him so well. But they always observed you, took everything in and saved the information for later. It would have felt creepy if it wasn’t so nice to have his eyes on you.
“Like what you see?” rasped the man running through your mind.
Grinning, you reached for his hand, pulling him closer towards you. “I always like what I see when it comes to you” you assured, cupping his face and pressing a kiss to just below his eye where the tattoo stopped. Turning around, you reached up for Wrecker as well, who chuckled and relented, bending down to help you. Rewarding him, you kissed across the scars along his nose. “Both of you” you added, laying a kiss to the corner of his lips.
“So do we, mesh’la! Now come on, I want to taste you. Been thinking about it for so long!” Wrecker insisted, gripping you around your waist and flinging you onto the bed.
Giggling, you pushed yourself up, watching as he knelt on the bed, running his large, calloused hands up your legs until he gripped your thighs. Biting your lip, you gave him a nod of consent before he pushed your thighs open, spreading them wider than you would have so he could fit himself in between you. He sighed, running his nose up from your knee to your inner thigh, taking you in.
“Whose in a hurry now?” Crosshair snarked, leaning against the wall, watching the way you shivered slightly at the cool air of the marauder and the way Wrecker was touching you.
Wrecker frowned, sitting up slightly to return his brother’s barb but you quickly interrupted them. Running a hand over Wrecker’s head, you tugged him back down to his previous position. He got the memo and began laying kisses along your soft, delicate skin.
“If you can’t play nice, then we won’t play at all!” you warned the sharp shooter, reaching out to poke at his leg.
Cross snorted, climbing up onto the bed next to your head. “Keep telling yourself that, kitten” he drawled, curling a strand of your hair around his finger. He tugged it lightly before settling himself comfortably against the headboard.
From where he was sitting, you could see his cock give a twitch against his thigh as he was supporting a semi. Reaching out for him, you ran feather-light fingers up and down his shaft. Grinning, you watched as his cock gave another twitch and began hardening further.
However, what attention you were giving Crosshair soon stopped, as Wrecker pressed a kiss to your groin, his hot breath fanning over your sensitive core.
“Ready for me, mesh’la?” he asked, squeezing your knee with his large hand and angling your leg just right for him to have room to work.
“Yeah” you breathed, voice catching in your throat as Wrecker lowered his head to your apex and began pressing gentle kisses along your lower lips and folds, starting off soft first. It sent warmth curling through your body at the way he was showering you with love and affection. His left hand came up to massage and rub at your thigh, feeling the soft shiver that ran through you at his touch.
Wrecker finally stopped his gentle caresses and kisses to lick at your clit, the tip of his tongue flicking against the bud and causing you to gasp. Swirling his tongue under the hood of it, he began working his way down to your dampening folds and pushing through them, eager to get to your centre. His large hands kept rubbing and massaging your thighs, keeping them spread wide for him as he lapped at you.
“Fuck, Wreck!” you groaned, eyes sliding shut as you ran a hand over his head and down to the back of his neck, pressing him closer into you. He groaned against you, the vibrations shooting up to your clit and making it throb.
“That’s it, got to get you nice and wet for me. Won’t be able to take me otherwise” he murmured, pressing his tongue inside of you and squeezing your legs at the taste of you exploding on his tongue. “Hmm, Crosshair, you got to try this!” Wrecker insisted, lapping at your cunt while he threw your legs over his broad shoulders.
“Maybe later, I’d rather try her mouth” Crosshair hummed, his hand cupping your cheek and turning you to face him. He looked down into your wide, lust filled eyes and had to bite back a groan of his own. He really wanted you looking like that at him with your lips stretched around his cock.
Nuzzling into his hand, you caught his thump in between your lips, sliding them up and down his finger while making sure to maintain eye contact with him. You could already see how hot and frustrated he was getting, no doubt he wanted to feel you around him. Moaning around him, you flicked and curled your tongue around his thumb, giving him a demonstration of what awaited him.
“Eager, aren’t we, kitten?” he purred, pulling his thumb out of your mouth and smearing your saliva across your bottom lip. “Gonna take me in this pretty mouth?” he asked, pulling down your lip.
“Oh, please!” you gasped, as you felt Wrecker’s tongue curl around the rim of your opening. “Fuck!” you cursed, digging your heels into Wrecker’s back as he sucked one of your folds into his mouth.
Crosshair chuckled, grabbing a few pillows off Hunter’s bed and propping them up behind you so that your head was lifted. He straddled your upper body, pumping his cock a few times.
His cock was so close to you, you could feel the warmth of the sniper pressing against you, his knuckles grazing your lips as his hand worked the length of his cock. But you wanted to taste him, wanted to feel the weight of him in your mouth against your tongue. Opening your mouth and sticking out your tongue for him, you looked up at him, waiting for his next move.
“Kriff! You look so fucking hot like that” Cross hissed, pushing his length into your mouth. He couldn’t help but let out a small gasp as your tongue flicked over the head, collecting the drops of pre-cum that had started to leak out.
Moaning, you closed your eyes and sunk deeper onto his cock, making sure you hollowed your cheeks out to provide suction for him. Crosshair was of average girth but he was slightly longer than average, and you enjoyed the weight of his cock in your mouth as he began to pull out slowly so you could take a breath.
“That’s it! You’re taking me so well. You were made to suck my cock” Crosshair praised, hand reaching behind him to grip and squeeze at your breast. His long dexterous fingers played with your nipple, brushing over them gently before giving them a sharp tweak. The sound that was muffled by his cock had more blood rushing downwards.
Forcing your eyes open, you ran your hands up and down his powerful thighs, bobbing your head against him while his other hand tangled into your hair. You couldn’t help the cry that you let out as Wrecker began to suck at your clit, giving it lazy luxurious sucks before flicking his tongue across the nub quickly so that your hips bucked up into his mouth. God it felt amazing to have them both against you. Crosshair fucking into your mouth and Wrecker eating you out. It had been too long since you were able to experience just how good they could take you apart and put you back together again.
Holding your head, Crosshair began thrusting into your warm, wet mouth. He kept an beskar-clad control on himself as he felt his cock ache at how good it felt to be surrounded by you. Pinching the nipple in his hand, he let out a loud growl at the way it felt around his cock. Maker, just the thought of you taking him down your throat while his brother had you squirming and writhing on his mouth would tide him over until the next time you could all play.
The pleasure that these two were wringing from you were almost too much. Crosshair was filling your mouth, turning all thoughts to mush as he guided you along his cock, at the pace that he wanted for you. All you had to do was take him. It didn’t help that Wrecker was also distracting you, wrapping his wonderful lips around your clit and brushing his fingers against your opening. He didn’t push in, needing you to relax a little more before he opened you up properly for him. Heat raced through you, your body singing from everywhere they touched you and you couldn’t help but buck your hips into Wrecker while you took Cross further into your mouth.
You gagged a little, and he dragged you up by the hair. “Careful, kitten. I want this to be fun for all of us” he reminded, letting you take a few more breaths in before sliding his cock into your mouth once more.
Moans and cries of pleasures echoed around Crosshair’s cock as you felt your orgasm building and building from them both. Wrecker hummed against your little bundle of nerves, sending shock waves of ecstasy through you as you were shoved over the edge, no warning as Wrecker drank in your juices, moaning at the taste of your release on his tongue.
Crosshair pulled out, admiring the way your hair stuck to your forehead, the way you were panting and had such a relaxed and satisfied look spread over your face. Your body shook at the way your orgasm had washed over you, and he was careful to keep his touch light and reassuring as he ran soothing fingers up and down your arms.
Finally it became too much, and you nudged Wrecker with your feet, pushing him away from you. Taking deep lungfuls of breath, you couldn’t help but beam at them. It felt so good to finally have a release that wasn’t due to your own hand or a quickie under the blankets.
“You okay, mesh’la?” Wrecker checked in, pulling away from you and sitting on his knees. He shoved Crosshair to the side, earning a hiss of anger and a swift kick to the side in retaliation from his brother. But he didn’t seem to mind as he smiled down at you. You always looked gorgeous to him, but you were even more beautiful after having an orgasm because of him.
“I’m good, don’t think my legs work” you murmured, unable to help the giggle that escaped you at the smug and satisfied expression that spread across his face.
“Don’t worry, I’ll carry you wherever you want to go” the gentle giant promised, leaning forward to press a kiss to your sweet lips. He cupped your face in his hands, nuzzling your nose as you moaned at the taste of yourself on his lips and against his tongue. “Maybe Cross can even make you food and drinks!” Wrecker suggested, teasing his brother.
“Don’t even think about it, you’re spoiled enough!” Crosshair rolled his eyes, no real heat in his words.
Beaming, you ran your fingers up his thigh, tracing patterns along his skin, “you love spoiling me, admit it!”
Crosshair rolled his eyes, shaking his head but didn’t deny it. He did love spoiling you, you were his kitten, his princess. If he could, he’d do anything to make your day a little lighter, a littler easier to deal with. You hadn’t been brought up like the rest of his brothers and the regs, why should you have to suffer the hardships that they did. If he could spoil you and give you nice things that made you happy and comfortable then he would.
“Come on, roll her over or we’ll be giving our brothers a show” Crosshair reminded, climbing off the bed to go and reach for his box that stored all of his belongings.
Wrecker grabbed you around the waist, displaying his strength as he brought you into him before flipping you both around until he was on his back and you were plastered against his front. Grinning up at you, he ran his hands up and down your sides, leaning forward to nuzzle his nose with yours.
“Hey handsome” you breathed, enjoying the quiet oasis, just you and him and Crosshair finding your pleasure and touching each other. It was perfect.
“Hey mesh’la. I’m going to open you up for me now, okay? Need you to be nice and relaxed for me so I can get inside you” he smiled, hands sliding down your back until they reached your ass, giving them a good squeeze and tugging you up his chest slightly.
Your breath caught in your throat, just like it always did at the mere thought of Wrecker opening you up for his cock. Wrecker’s fingers were thicker than his brothers’ and capable of hurling you over the edge faster than you could think. But it was needed if you were going to take his cock, the stretch around him was always tight. Spreading your legs wider around his large frame, you gasped at the feel of your nipples brushing against his chest hair.
The bed dipped behind you, and you turned to see Crosshair holding the bottle of lube in his hand. Oh, they were going to take you together then. They must have planned this out before you had managed to grab some alone time away from the others.
Crosshair came and pressed a kiss to your shoulder, working the skin into his mouth and sucking a large bruise there. He worried the skin with his teeth, causing you to gasp before he licked over the mark soothingly. Pulling away, he littered soft, gentle kisses down your spine his hands running soothingly up and down your flanks.
Relaxing into their touches, you couldn’t help but sink into the sensations. They were always so loving to you, touch almost worshipping as they built you higher and higher until you couldn’t help but find release. You would have thought that they’d be more desperate, more demanding after the time you have had to be away from each other. But they seemed to be savouring every touch against your skin, every sound that they pulled out of you and the sight of you pressed between them.
Wrecker pulled you into a kiss, hand sliding in between your body to reach your centre. He could already feel the slick from your previous orgasm there and he eagerly collected it on his fingers, spreading it around to get you nice and wet for him. Nipping at your lip, he soothed the bite with his a slide of his tongue as he pressed one of his thick fingers inside of you.
Gasping against his mouth, you couldn’t help but feel yourself flutter around his finger. You took in a steadying breath, relaxing your muscles against him and mouthing at his chest, hoping to suck a bruise onto him to mark him as yours.
The sound of a bottle cap opening was heard behind you and you tensed up, expecting the cold drizzle of lube running down your ass. But instead, Crosshair squeezed your round globes before pressing a kiss to one of them. “Going to open you up back here for me as well, sweetheart. Think you can take both of us?” he asked, voice genuinely curious and holding no expectation. If you said no, that would be fine, they’d rework their plans.
But you wanted it so much, to be stuffed full by both of your lovers. To be able to feel them even after you had gone back to your normal routine. It had been a while since you took them both, but that didn’t mean you didn’t want to. Nodding, you pushed yourself up and twisted around to meet the sniper’s dark eyes and pulled him in for a kiss.
“Good girl, that’s it. All you’ve got to do is lie here and take what we give you” Wrecker grinned, helping you to lie back down on him. He finally began to move his finger inside of you, enjoying just how wet and hot you felt around him. He knew from experience just how amazing you’d feel around his cock.
As you sighed into Wrecker’s chest, relaxing into the gentle push in and out of your entrance, you tensed up at the feel of a lubed up finger swirling around your puckered hole. Cross swiped it around a couple of times before slowly pressing in.
“Oh!”
The sound was punched out of you at the feel of both of them pressing their explorative fingers inside of you. It felt so good. Nerves firing off and shooting pleasure through your body at their slow pace. You clung around them, muscles tensing at the intrusion as you got used to the sensation.
“Relax, or you won’t be able to take either of us” Crosshair instructed, resting a hand between your shoulder blades and pushing you further down into Wrecker’s chest.
A whine slipped out at the move, feeling pinned between them as they both began to move in tandem. Their pace matched each others, stretching you open on their fingers. As one pushed in, so did the other. Your breath was faltering at every thrust and it was all you could do to relax around them.
“That’s it mesh’la, stay nice and relaxed for us. Got to get you nice and ready for us” Wrecker encouraged, as your hips bucked down onto their hands. “Take a deep breath for me” Wrecker instructed, kissing your cheek.
You did as he said, taking in a deep lungful before it caught in your throat as both of them pushed another finger into you. The stretch from both holes had you moaning, eyes squeezing shut at the feel of them sliding in and out of you.
“Fuck! Wreck! Cross!” you cried, clenching down around them.
“Relax, kitten!” Cross growled, pinching your ass and spreading it open for him to see just how well you were taking his fingers. “Such a greedy girl!” he murmured, watching as your hole seemed to clutch and swallow his fingers with every press inside.
“Cross!” you whined, burying your face into Wrecker’s chest at the sniper’s words.
“Shh, that’s a good thing, mesh’la. Ya know you’re so pretty, right? Our pretty girl” the demolition expert praised, a chuckle rumbling through his chest at how you were hiding into him.
Even through the heat burning across your face, you nodded. Because he was right. You were theirs, and they were yours.
“Gonna have to make her cum again to take us. She’s so tight, keeps sucking us in like the greedy slut she is” Cross growled, nipping at your thigh and feeling the way you tightened around his fingers at that.
“Oh yeah! That sounds good to me!” Wrecker laughed, nodding at Crosshair. This time they slid three fingers inside of you, and you let out a cry as the way they both stretched you open, making sure that they were teasing you and getting you ready for them at the same time. Wrecker passed his thumb over your clit, beaming at the way you shivered around them. “Ohh, someone’s a little sensitive!” he boomed out, beginning to draw circles around your clit as he thrust his fingers sharply up into you.
Panting, you clutched onto his shoulders as the boys began to increase their pace, twisting and shoving inside of you without any rhythm. It left you wanting more and you couldn’t help but begin to buck into their hands, writhing against them as they curled their fingers, rubbing deliciously along your walls.
You could feel yourself getting wetter, the heat rising in you as the coil inside of you got tighter and tighter at every brush of Wrecker’s thumb against your clit and twist from Crosshair’s lithe fingers.
“That’s it mesh’la, ride our fingers. Look so good, taking us so well” Wrecker murmured in awe, his mouth coming to layer your jaw and cheeks with kisses.
With every rocking movement of your hips, you could feel your release getting closer and closer. And when Wrecker curled his fingers just right, rubbing that spot inside of you that had you seeing stars, you couldn’t help but fall over the edge. Your vision whited out as you shook around them, nails digging into whatever and whoever you could as you clutched onto them. Their names fell from your mouth in a loud cry as they continued to help you through the powerful orgasm that left you trembling.
“Hmm, good girl, that’s it. Doing so well for us, kitten” Cross’ raspy voice filled your ears as you were leant back into his chest. He withdrew his fingers from you, keeping his arms wrapped around you tightly so you wouldn’t fall back down onto Wrecker. He littered soft, open mouthed kisses along your neck, soothing you back into the land of the living after your release.
Sighing, you sunk back into the warm safety of his arms, letting your mind float at how incredible you felt. You felt boneless almost, and it was an effort to return some of Cross’ kisses as you clutched onto his forearms to keep you steady.
“Pass me the lube” Wrecker grunted, tapping Cross’ knee. As soon as the sniper passed it over, Wrecker was lubing up his cock, pumping it a few times before guiding his cock to your entrance. You were still pressing kisses to Crosshair’s jaw, nipping at the hinge before littering his faces with kisses. So when they both held you over Wrecker’s cock, you couldn’t help but moan, trying to push yourself down onto the incredible length.
“Ready, mesh’la?” he asked, hands coming to your waist and thumbs rubbing soothing circles into your hips.
“Yeah… yeah I want you” you breathed, and slowly lowered yourself down onto his cock. It was a bit of a stretch, but the way they had opened you up and the 2 orgasms had relaxed you enough so you could take him at a steady pace. When your hips met his, it was all you could do to muffle your whines, feeling so full.
Wrecker buried his head into your neck, quieting his own groans as he felt you clench around him. It was almost like you were strangling his cock. Breathing deep, he tried to take apart a proton torpedo in his mind to stop this from being over way too soon.
“Fuck! Oh fuck! Wrecker!” you cried, eyes squeezed shut as you got used to his size. Wrecker was a large man, a gentle giant, but his cock would put most men to shame. It was thicker and longer than any you had ever taken. And Crosshair normally fucked you open first to prepare you for taking Wrecker, but now, oh now you couldn’t help but feel him everywhere.
You looked down, surprised that you weren’t bulging from the way that he was pressing inside of you. You were stuffed full of him, even as he remained still. It felt like your body was just melding around him, your inner walls having no choice but to fit snugly around his hard length.
“Shh, good girl. Relax for me, need you to relax” Wrecker groaned, bringing you back down so he could press his lips against yours, swallowing your little whines and punched out noises.
It was a lot easier said than done, but you tried to force your muscles and body to relax against him, helped by the soothing strokes of Crosshair up and down your back and the way that you could feel Wrecker holding you to him.
“That’s it, mesh’la. Stay relaxed, sweetheart. Need to make sure Cross can fit” Wrecker reminded, hands stroking through your hair as he could feel your muscles fluttering around him as his cock pressed into all those good spots inside of you.
“’Kay, please move… want to feel you” you begged, biting your lip as you began to get restless atop of him.
“Thought you’d be able to feel him well enough, kitten” Cross smirked, watching the way his brother’s cock pulled out before sinking back into you. Your punched out little cry at the first thrust had his cock twitching and he had to press a hand to the base for a second to get himself back under control.
“So full! Feel him everywhere. Oh! Wrecker!” you cried, nodding your head in agreement to his smokey voice as you buried your head into Wrecker’s neck, panting as he pushed in slowly, making you feel every inch of his thick and delicious cock inside of your pussy. Every vein and bump could be felt as he entered you once more.
You were so distracted with Wrecker and how he filled you, stretching you out around his massive cock that you jolted a little when you felt the head of Crosshair’s cock nudge at your back entrance.
“Shh, kitten, relax for me” Crosshair murmured against your skin, pressing open mouth kisses along your back and shoulders as he felt you jump.
“’M okay” you mumbled, closing your eyes as you pressed back against him. However, two large hands kept your still, and you turned to pout at Wrecker beneath you.
“Sorry mesh’la, but you go at our pace. Don’t want you hurtin’ yourself!” Wrecker shook his head, sending you a small soft smile in apology. He knew how much you wanted to take Cross, but it was best if he was the one to guide his cock into your ass.
Chuckling at your whine of disapproval, Crosshair slowly pressed inside of you, mindful of how full you already were with Wrecker, and how long it had been since you had last done this together. He inched himself inside of you, paying close attention to your face and the small noises of pleasure you were letting out.
“Good girl.”
You didn’t know which one of them said it, but it made you grin at the praise. You would be their good girl, you’d take them both and let them fill you up. With every inch of Crosshair pushing into you, it felt like you were going to combust. Every nerve was firing off and you could barely breathe from the stimulation of both Wrecker and Crosshair inside of you. Your nails dug into Wrecker’s chest as you tried to take in a few deep breaths to gain some control over yourself.
When Cross was all the way inside, all three of you let out groans and grunts. Both troopers could feel the other inside, parted by a thin bit of tissue but it felt so good to be inside your wet, delicious heat. You, however, could only cling onto them as you tried to catch your breath. If you thought you felt full with just Wrecker pressed deep inside of you, adding Crosshair made you feel like you would burst. They filled you up so much it felt like there was barely enough room for you to breathe.
“Kriff, can feel how tight you are! Gotta relax sweetheart, here, lie down on me” Wrecker grunted, guiding you back down onto his chest. His large hands crept up to your head, cradling you against him.
The new position had you feeling them both from a different angle and it was all you could do to bury the noise you let out into Wrecker’s chest.
“Can we move now, kitten?” Crosshair breathed quietly into your ear, warm breath caressing you. His hands were sliding up and down your sides, soothing you into a more relaxed position. He wouldn’t move until you told him it was okay.
“Hmm, please!” you sighed, one hand sliding behind you to reach for Crosshair. Be it his hand, or his hip, or his leg, you didn’t care. You just wanted to hold him.
Crosshair seemed to understand what you wanted, as his hand threaded with yours and he held it against your hip, squeezing your fingers between his. Slowly and with great care, he pulled his cock out, watching as your hole clutched onto him, almost strangling him on the way out. Letting you take a breath in, he thrust back in with one smooth move.
You cried out, other hand coming up to clutch at Wrecker’s shoulder. It seemed to be the act that Wrecker was looking for because he began to move once more two. The pair of them started a steady and slow rhythm, getting you used to both of them being inside of you once more. They always kept you filled, when one pulled out, the other would thrust back in, making you keen and push back against them.
Wrecker’s warm hand came to cup your cheek, pulling your face up to meet his in an open mouthed kiss. It was messy and uncoordinated, your teeth clashing and lips sliding off one another but it didn’t matter. Just being pressed against him, breathing the same air was enough as your gentle giant panted against your lips.
“That’s it mesh’la, doing so well! Look how brilliant you are, taking us like this” Wrecker beamed, pulled away to nuzzle at your jaw. He grazed his teeth over the sensitive skin, bucking his hips up to you a little faster.
“Oh!” you gasped, biting your lip as you tilted your head back so he could litter your neck with more bruises and marks from him and Cross.
Not one to be left out, Crosshair began to match his brother’s pace, hips slamming into yours at a much more harder pace than when they first began. It had you shouting out their names, rocking your hips and pushing back as much as you could with how you were trapped in between them. You could only take what they were giving you.
Slender arms slid in between you before you were hauled up against Crosshair’s chest, hips pistoning into yours. The new angle of both of them had you crying out, eyes slamming shut as Wrecker thrust up into you, rubbing that spot deliciously on every buck of his hips. It also had the added benefit of Cross sinking deeper into you, short jabs resulting in you digging your nails into the soft skin on the back of his neck as you wrapped your hand around him.
“Kriff! Fucking hell!” you cursed, feeling the coil in your stomach tighten and tighten with each thrust into you. It felt amazing having them inside of you, like their cocks were carving out a space for themselves inside your fluttering channels. Nobody else could make you feel this good, nobody could even dream of it, not when you were so utterly in love with Wrecker and Crosshair.
“You close, mesh’la? Can feel you squeezing me” Wrecker grinned, hand sliding in between your bodies to gentle glide over your clit.
It had you gritting your teeth, legs twitching at the surge of pleasure the simple touch brought forth. Sparks flew from the little nub as Wrecker began to rub at it.
“Yeah she is! Kriff! Should feel how tight it is back here” Cross groaned, nipping at your ear as he slammed into you.
“Cross!” you whined, turning to press kisses along his jaw, his cheeks, wherever your lips could meet his skin.
“Think we should let her cum?” Wrecker chuckled, fingers picking up their pace as he circled your clit.
Crosshair hummed in deliberation, drawing it out just to tease you. He could feel just how close you were to cumming. Your ass was squeezing his cock like you refused to let it go, and no doubt the same was happening to your muscles as they fluttered around Wrecker. Sliding your sweat-slicked skin together, he bit softly onto your shoulder.
“I think we should” he hummed, hearing the moan of relief that you let out at them not teasing you and edging you this time. “Gonna scream for us, kitten?” he smirked, hand sliding up the valley of your chest and squeezing one of your breasts into his hands. He gave it a harsh squeeze, making you squeal and clench around the lengths slamming inside of you.
“Fuck! Yes, yes I will… just-just please let me cum!” you begged, hoping they wouldn’t draw this out. You were on the edge, you could feel just how wet and slick you were around Wrecker, feel the way you were rocking against Cross. It wouldn’t take much to throw you over the edge.
“You beg so sweetly, kitten, but I think you can do better than that” the sniper ordered, tweaking your nipple.
It was like fire shot through your body and you moaned, back arching and pressing your chest into his teasing hands. “Please, please! Need you both! Need you to make me cum, please. Want you to fill me up” you cried, clutching onto your troopers and hoping your words was enough. You were so close. They had to let you cum.
“I think that’s good enough!” Wrecker growled, dragging his cock along the spot inside of you that had you screaming out his name.
Your thighs quivered as you came around them both, release flooding through you as you shook as you fell over the edge. It was like liquid ecstasy was coursing through your brains as every nerve fired off at once.
“WRECK! CROSS!”
Crosshair growled at the way his name sounded falling from your lips. He couldn’t help but chase his own release now, giving you a few short jabs into your quivering hole before he flooded your ass with his cum. That had you letting out a little moan of pleasure as you felt warmth fill you.
Wrecker felt the fluttering of your walls around him, felt the way his cock was drenched with your release and couldn’t hold back no more. He gave another long, deep thrust before he stilled, shooting his load into your entrance and letting out a cry of your own name.
It was lucky he was so strong, because both you and Crosshair collapsed against him, all of them exhausted and boneless. He wrapped his arms around his lover and brother as much as he could, content to just stay there for a while before they would have to move.
When you had caught your breath, you pulled both of them into long, passionate kisses revelling in being able to feel the weight of them against you in post-orgasmic bliss.
“We are never waiting this long again” you insisted, grinning playfully at your troopers. You grimaced as Cross pulled his softening cock from you and Wrecker did the same, lifting you off him.
“Agreed, I’m willing to give the others a favour if they keep the kid away for an hour or two” Cross nodded, reaching for some wipes that he had left by the side in preparation for clean up. He helped guide you in between his and Wrecker’s body, taking in your body and the marks that was scattered on it by him and his brother.
“Well, I for one love having Omega around” Wrecker frowned, and you couldn’t help but rush to reassure him.
“We do too love, but I’m also glad when your brothers take her for a bit. That way we can be together. But I’m sure she’ll be home soon. So we need to be cleaning up this ship” you assured before encouraging them up. As Crosshair finished cleaning you up though, you couldn’t help but lean forward and give him a kiss. “Thank you sweetheart, now lets get going!” you ordered, stroking his cheek.
“ARGH! Do we have to?” Wrecker grumbled, grabbing a couple of wipes to clean himself up.
“Yes, unless you want to explain to Omega why our clothes are scattered everywhere and Hunter looks like he’s ready to faint every time we walk past him?” you said sweetly, amused at the thought of Hunter’s face when he came back. But it wasn’t fair on the Sergeant and the rest of his brothers. So you would do all that you could to minimise the smell when Hunter got back.
“Good point! Come on Wrecker! Get moving!” Crosshair snapped, flinging a shirt at his brother’s head.
Shaking your head at the bickering that move started, you headed to the ramp, pressing the button to open it and air out the ship. It was a start, and you quickly got to work cleaning the ship with your lovers.
By the time the others had gotten back, you were all freshly showered and dressed, the sheets had been laundered and you were currently reading a book on Wrecker’s bunk. You were leaning against the demolition expert’s chest while Cross was resting his head on your thigh, taking a nap.
“Hey! How was it? Did you get everything?” you greeted, running your fingers through Cross’ grey hair to wake him up slowly so he wouldn’t be disturbed by the others coming back.
Omega ran up to you, holding out a couple of boxes. She passed one to Wrecker before passing another one to you. Beaming, she stood by the side of the bunk, waiting for your reactions. You opened your gift and blinked in surprise.
“Kashyyyk nuts? You got them?” you breathed, surprised at how she had been able to manage to do that. It shouldn’t have been possible to get them on this planet.
“Yeah, Echo said that I might not be able to get them at the market, but Tech showed me which ones were from Kashyyyk! Apparently they had never imported them before and this was their first time! Can you believe it?” Omega explained, accepting one from the box as you offered her one.
Wrecker chuckled behind you, chest shaking beneath your back. Cross snorted, rubbing his face into your thigh for a moment before he pushed himself up to look over at you, smirk in place.
“No, I can’t believe it. Thank you Omega, you’re a wonder” you smiled, bringing the girl into your arms and giving her a grateful hug.
“Yeah! Our girl’s full of surprises!” Echo remarked, ruffling the younger clones hair as he passed.
“So is ours” Cross murmured lowly for Wrecker and I to hear. He pecked your cheek before getting off the bunk to go help the others.
“So, tell us all about the market?” Wrecker requested, squeezing both of his favourite girls into his loving arms. He shared a smile with you as you both began to listen to Omega’s retelling of the supply run.
Rockstar Girlfriend III. | Hazel Callahan
Rockstar! Hazel Callahan x Popstar! Reader Summary: Hazel Callahan and Y/n L/n have to be in a pr relationship, but both of them can stand each other but recently things are starting to look up. Warnings: Enemies to lovers! Enemies to lovers! Enemies to lovers! Fluff, slight loser! Hazel. Not proof read. Sorry for any mistake, English isn't my main language. a/n: I should be doing an essay for class here we are. Hope you enjoy and thank you so much for all the love. There could possibly be another part. ps. the song is "Lavender Haze" by Taylor Swift
part one. part two. part four. part five.
“Surreal, I'm damned if I do give a damn what people say. No deal, the 1950s shit they want from me”
The two lines stared back at her as she anxiously tapped her pen against the couch hoping that some words would magically show up. She was desperate, very desperate. The deadline was near and she had made zero to no progress only having the first two lines of the song. She needed to finish the last song on the album, her manager had emphasized how important this album was for their career as a band. They needed to hop on the wave of success “dating” Hazel Callahan brought.
She hated it, the only reason people were actually listening to her band wasn’t because they were talented but because she was attached to Hazel’s name. Not only did Hazel have several awards, a reputation of a god and a talented band but now Y/n’s band success was thanks to her. She wanted to prove to the people that she was as talented as Hazel Callahan and her band. That’s why she offered herself to write that song on the album and that’s how she found herself at one am in the morning in the recording studio attempting to get out of the writer's block she had been stuck in for days.
“No deal, the 1950’s shit they want for me. I just..” Y/n hummed the melody as taped the pen on the cushion attempting to get a beat. She was determined to get this song out. She needed to prove to her manager, to herself, to her band and to Hazel that she was talented. “For fucks sake” Y/n muttered out as she took a sip of energy drink crumbling the paper up and throwing it in a pile of paper on the floor. She threw her head back on the couch stretching her legs under the coffee table. She closed her eyes, controlling her breath. Someone had cleared their throat from the other side of the room startling her. Y/n had lifted her head staring at the person in front of her.
Hazel Callahan stood before Y/n, the only thing separating them was the table in the middle of the studio. Hazel’s body was adorned in a familiar sweater which instantly caused Y/n to smile at her. Hazel held onto her guitar case while her tote bag rested on her shoulder. She sent a warm smile towards Y/n’s way, not her usual smirk, which actually scared her. For Y/n, this felt like she was crossing unknown territory. Why was Hazel at the studio late at night? It didn’t make any sense.
“Hey, I hope I’m not bothering your creative process. I just.. You know. I was here in the morning and left by lunch. Didn’t see you move from your spot so I thought you might be hungry. I brought some food so we could eat. I always get good inspiration with a full stomach so I decided to bring your usual, I think… I’ve seen you order it a bunch of times before so I really hope it’s your usual and that I didn’t get it wrong” Hazel rambled quickly, taking out a brown bag from her tote bag and placing it on top of the table in front of them. She slowly rested her guitar case against the leather couch and quickly sat in front of the table also taking out her food out of her tote bag.
“You know. It’s kind of scary that you’re being this nice to me.” Y/n said softly as she inspected the bag slowly, surprised that Hazel had gotten her usual order perfectly. Hazel took a bite of the fries shrugging her off.
“I know it’s hard to believe but I am a nice person, Y/n. I just like messing with you, you make this cute little face when you're angry” She replied, taking a bite of her burger as Y/n followed her actions. Y/n could feel her face flushing at Hazel’s compliment. Her voice saying her name sounded like a melody she couldn’t get out of her head. What was happening?
“Thank You, Hazel. I really appreciate you bringing the food and everything but I need to finish this song. Management wants it for tomo.. Well actually today and I’m not even halfway done. ” Y/n said, placing her food down and reaching to grab her pen. As she grabbed it Hazel rested her hands on top of hers. Y/n looked up, locking eyes with Hazel as she felt herself loose the grip on the pen. Hazel cleared her throat, tapping her hand awkwardly, moving it away quickly. She looked to the side awkwardly, not wanting to face Y/n.
“You are stressed and it’s pretty clear that you need a break. So forget about the song and talk to me. I know you’ll get the inspiration soon enough, Y/n. You are a talented girl.” Hazel said, rubbing the back of her neck turning to look at her quickly.
“You, Hazel Callan, an award winning rock star, think I’m talented?” Y/n gasped dramatically placing a hand towards her chest in a joking manner not believing Hazel’s words. Hazel rolled her eyes, continuing eating her food.
“I actually believe you guys are underrated. I consider myself a very big B/n fan. Your last album and quite honestly I believe it deserved several awards. More people need to hear you guys. I know that if they take the time they’ll see how talented you are and you’ll be on top of the world” Hazel responded, scrunching up the wrapper and throwing it inside the paper bag.
“I didn’t know you were such a fan. Would’ve sent you a signed sweater instead of the one you have.” Y/n said while continuing to eat her food. Hazel’s smiled started to form slowly while looking down at her Y/n’s merch.
“I had to fight someone for this sweater, Ln. Now you should understand how big of a fan I am. So if you give me a signed one, I’ll love you forever” She said jokingly while leaning towards the pile of papers picking one up reading Y/n’s messy writing on a scrunched up piece.
“Please don’t laugh at it. I tried my best.” Y/n muttered while placing her head on the table hiding her face from Hazel.
“No, Y/n. You’re off to a good start. Let me help you out. Maybe we can come up with something together. You wrote here, I feel the blank, creeping up on me, what did you really want to write? Come on don’t be shy” She asked, while her eyes reread the lyrics. Her hand reached towards her guitar case, took her acoustic guitar out and placed it on her lap. As she strummed the guitar tuning it, Y/n felt herself smile. She wanted to write a love song and as much as she wanted to push Hazel away, the only thing she could think about was Hazel and her lavender sweater.
“Lavender Haze” She muttered softly onto the table. Hazel straightens up trying to see her facial expressions. Y/n slowly raised her face up looking at Hazel.
“Speak up, pretty girl,” Hazel said, sending her way an encouraging smile. Y/n felt herself blushed, feeling completely flustered by Hazel’s actions.
“Lavender Haze. I feel a Lavender Haze creeping up on me. ” Y/n replied confidently, while she watched Hazel nodded writing down on the paper.
“Well, Y/n. Let’s make Lavender haze a real hit, baby” Hazel replied, passing her the pen with a confident smile. That’s how two girls that supposedly hated each other wrote a song at midnight about the Lavender Haze.
...
Thank You so much for reading.
Secret softy (Ashley Sanchez x Reader)
Based on this request
Sorry this took a while to finish, writers block is a pain. Hopefully this is okay and is kinda what you wanted. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy :)
Warnings: None I think
Words: 2.4k
Three months had passed since I last saw Ashley. We had been together officially for almost four years, but we had been mostly long-distance since the start. With us both being professional athletes, her soccer and me hockey, it didn't leave as much time for visits during on season. We would spend off-season with the other when possible, Ashley had been pretty busy lately, unfortunately. It didn't matter now though, my season was officially over which meant more time with her.
I was trying to enjoy time with Ashley, but I was kind of freaking out. I was going to be going to more of Ashley's camps so we could spend more time together. The only problem was her team didn't seem to like me very much. I knew I could be a bit standoffish when I met new people, but I had tried to be more friendly when I met them. I wasn't actually sure if that's why they didn't like me, it was more an assumption based on past experiences. They were her team, some of her closest friends, honestly, I wanted them to like me. Three years had passed since our first meeting and I didn't know how to change it.
Ashley wrapped her arms around my shoulders, snapping me out of my thoughts, "You okay Y/n/n?"
"I'm fine."
"No, we don't do that. You can be stoic, grumpy, tough, or whatever around everyone else, but not me. If you don't want to talk to me about it, tell me, I won't push. Just don't pretend you're fine when I know you're not."
"I'm sorry. Cuddles?"
Ashley lay down on the couch, letting me lie on top of her, head resting against her neck. It was a lot easier to deal with feelings when wrapped up in the comfort she provided. After a few minutes, all my thoughts just tumble out.
Fingers ran through my hair, making me groan. Ashley always knew what I needed, when I needed it. It's one of the reasons I loved her so much. "My love, it's not that they don't like you. I know what you're going to say, but it's true. They just find you a little bit intimidating, they don't know how to act around you, they don't know how to read you."
"You couldn't have mentioned this like 3 years ago?"
"Don't take that tone with me Y/n. I didn't know how they felt until recently when I told them you'd be around more this season. All you have to do is try to be a bit more open, talk to them, interact with them. A smile every now and then wouldn't hurt either. I know it's not easy for you, but even trying will make a difference."
I sighed, nuzzling my face further into her, "I'm sorry Ash. Okay, I can do that. At least I think. I'm sorry for being grumpy with you. Let me cuddle for a minute then I'll make dinner and we can finish packing, maybe a bath?"
She kissed my forehead, fingers running through my hair, "You weren't grumpy at me, you just let the nerves get the better of you. Don't make a habit of it though. A bath sounds fantastic. I love you grumpy."
I peppered her face with kisses before dragging myself up, "I love you."
---
A smile instantly appeared as arms wrapped around my waist, accompanied by the familiar voice of my girlfriend. "Hi baby."
I turned around, wrapping my arms around her and lifting her up, her legs wrapping around me. My head rest against her chest, enjoying the feeling of her again. Honestly, it hadn't even been that long apart, I had to spend a few weeks at home before joining her. Ashley was my place, my home, my comfort. Anytime we were apart, even for a few days, felt like forever. "I missed you."
Some of Ashley's team were in the lobby hanging back waiting for her. I sent them a quick smile and wave before turning my attention back to Ashley. She pecked my lips, arm wrapping around my shoulder, letting me cuddle against her. Despite what most would think, 90% of the time I was the little spoon and I loved it. "I missed you too. Dinner tonight? We have training this afternoon so maybe 7?"
"Wouldn't miss it for the world, I'll find somewhere and sort it."
"Thank you. Also, team bonding tomorrow night if you're up for it. No pressure."
"I'll be there."
All I really wanted to do was spend alone time with Ashley. I decided on a picnic on the beach instead of a restaurant. So while Ashley was at training, I went to the store to pick up some of her favourite snacks, drinks, desserts, and of course flowers. At about 6:30, I ordered Ashley's favourite pizza then headed to the beach to set everything up, then texted her where to meet me. My original plan was to pick her up, but I also wanted everything to be set up before she got there.
Right at 7pm, Ashley came walking along the beach. Dressed in sweats and a hoodie, looking as beautiful as ever. "What's all this?"
"Well, I wanted alone time with you and this is more romantic than a restaurant I think. This is okay right?"
Ashley smiled, lips connecting with mine in a deep kiss, "Y/n/n, anything you do is amazing. I love this and I love you so much. Are those flowers?"
"I love you more. Of course, can't have a romantic dinner without flowers."
After dinner, we ended up lying on the beach watching the stars. Ashley cuddled into my side, leaving light kisses along my neck. "How did I get so lucky with you?"
"I'm the one who got lucky Ash. For some reason, you met my grumpy ass and decided yes that is who I want to be with. You are incredible my love, you fill my life with so much love and happiness. I wouldn't give you up for anything in this world. I love you."
"I love you Y/n/n. I will never get over this side of you. Your grumpy ass is stuck with me for life, just gotta make it official."
I laughed, tapping her nose. It was mostly a joke, Ashley knew that I would propose likely in the next couple of months. I just wanted it to be perfect and not that she knew, but I wanted both her team and her family there. "Soon my love."
----
It had been a few weeks since I started coming to camp with Ashley. Since she told me I was kind of intimidating, I was trying to be more friendly. It wasn't the easiest thing, I had always been more withdrawn and perceived as grumpy or tough. I wanted her team to like me so I was trying. They were important to her so I wanted to at least make an effort to get along with them.
Most of them still kept a bit of a distance from me. They were friendly and included me when I was around, but there was still some unsureness on their part. Emily on the other hand seemed to make it her mission to annoy me as much as possible. In a way, it was nice that she didn't seem to mind my so-called grumpiness. It was also incredibly annoying. Despite that, I had a soft spot for her.
Emily ran at me the moment Ashley untangled herself to go get a drink, managing to jump on me before I could stop her, "Emilyyy, get off."
My hair was messed up before Emily dropped back to the ground, tongue sticking out at me.
"Grump."
"Irritating."
"Yeah yeah whatever, you love it. Some of the girls and I are going shopping, you wanna come?"
"That is the last thing I want to do. Shopping is my nightmare and I already do enough of it with Ash." Emily looked slightly disappointed which made me feel guilty. I also realised this could be a good opportunity to develop my relationship with at least some of them. I couldn't bring myself to go shopping so I suggested the next thing I could think of. "I could meet you for lunch or coffee instead if you guys are doing that."
"It's a date. I'll text you when we're heading for lunch."
Ashley popped up next to me, making me jump slightly at her sudden presence, "You going on a date with someone else?"
Emily wrapped her arm around my shoulder which I instantly tried to push off, but she just wrapped it around tighter. I didn't have the energy for a fight so just let it go. "Yup, I'm stealing your girl."
"You and whoever else you're dragging shopping."
Of course, Ashley got excited at the idea of shopping and decided to go along with them. It wasn't a surprise, Ashley loved shopping and it made Emily go away so I was happy. Now I just had to get her to let me stay back. "Finally. Don't even ask, don't pout, it's not going to work. I'm not coming shopping, you have your girls, I'm going to the gym. Go have fun baby, I'll be there for lunch. I love you."
"Fine, I'll carry my own bags. Just this once. I love you and thank you for trying. By the way, I think Em really likes you."
"She alright I guess. Now go."
Throughout lunch, Ashley was on one side of me and Emily was on the other. Which meant Emily annoyed me while Ashley laughed at me. I admit it helped with the nerves, and stopped me from thinking too much about everything. Emily poked my cheek over and over until I slapped her hand away, poking her cheek instead. I unsuccessfully looked at Ashley for help, her being distracted in conversation.
I groaned, leaning back, trying to be as dramatic as possible, "Why are you hellbent on annoying me? You're like the annoying little sister I never wanted."
"Because I can and you're stuck with me as long as you're with Ash."
"Dammit, that means I'm stuck with you for life."
Emily stopped her annoyance, smiling at me instead, "You going to be with our Ashley for the rest of your life?"
"That's the plan."
A hand landed on my shoulder, running down my arm as lips pressed against my cheek, "I like that plan."
My hand ran along her thigh, kissing her cheek, "I do too."
"Alright, before things get even more gross. How did you two meet? I don't think we ever heard that story."
---
I crawled up the bed, settling myself on top of Ashley, letting out an appreciative groan as her fingers ran through my hair. This trying to be nicer thing was a lot of work. It had meant being more aware of my actions or how I held myself around them. I had never had to put that much thought into myself before. It was honestly exhausting.
"You know I would give up hockey in a heartbeat for you. I miss you so much."
"I know you would, I would do the same, but we both know we would be miserable not doing what we love. What's wrong? You get like this when somethings wrong."
"Ugh, I know. I'm just looking forward to the day when distance isn't part of our relationship. I'm just tired. Putting effort into being nicer and less intimidating is exhausting."
Ashley peppered my cheek with kisses, ending with a soft peck to my lips, "Well you're doing an amazing job Y/n/n. Half the team loves you already and the rest are on the way. You know I appreciate you right? How much you're trying to get along with them."
"You mean the world to me, Ash. Even if it's exhausting or hard, I would do anything for you. This team means a lot to you so it's important to me to get along with them. I'm just sorry it took longer than it should have."
"I'm just happy all the people I love get along."
We spent a while cuddling and making out. There weren't many words spoken, we were just enjoying time together after a couple of crazy days on her end. In our jobs that was the reality, where we barely saw each other all day, only to fall asleep minutes after getting to bed. It left me missing Ashley even though I spent every night cuddled up with her. I missed the awake cuddles, the soft kisses or not-so-soft kisses, the light touches, the comfortable silence, and the random conversations. I could have stayed there all night, but there was team bonding tonight so we had to drag ourselves down to Alyssa and Alex's room.
Everyone was waiting already, fighting over what team bonding was going to be. I made myself comfortable on the floor, leaning back against the wall while Ashley went to join in on the fight. I must have zoned out watching her because I didn't notice Kristie sitting next to me until a hand waved in front of my face.
"Sorry."
"Don't be. I get like that with Sam all the time. You make her incredibly happy, you know that right?"
"All I want is for her to be happy so I will do everything in my power to make sure she is. Seeing Ashley happy, makes me happy."
Kristie pat my shoulder, "That's what I like to hear. Keep her that way."
"Yes ma'am."
Ashley had run back to our room for a deck of cards so I was left alone with her team. Since lunch the other day, I had gotten closer to some of the younger girls, but the veteran players were still a work in progress. I hadn't actually been alone with them pretty much ever. Honestly, I felt kind of awkward, like I needed to clarify that I didn't hate them or apologise for being so standoffish, "Look um I know we got off on the wrong foot-"
Alex interrupted me pretty much instantly, "Hey don't worry about it, we've seen how you are with Ash. You may seem grumpy and mean, but really you're a big softy. You treat Ashley like royalty so we like you. You also put up with Emily so you can't be that bad."
"Yeah well, she does that to me. Look I may seem grumpy or uninterested, but I don't mean to. I really like you guys. Even Emily."
"Hey!"
"Also, before you even give me any sort of talk. Ash is my forever, I plan to marry her one day soon, to spend the rest of my life with her. I would never do anything to jeopardize that. I would hurt myself before I ever dreamt of hurting her."
"Good. Welcome to the family Y/n."
Ashley came back soon after the conversation had ended, settling herself in my lap to whisper in my ear, "You okay?"
"I'm more than good my love."
aged up ao’nung x f!reader
summary: ao'nung has always just been your best friend's annoying older brother. at least that's what you tell yourself. but lately he's been moody and far more interested in your love life than he should be. when you discover that he's been playing a role in your failed courtships, you decide to confront him about it.
includes: fluff, swearing, teasing, possessiveness, ao'nung being oblivious🙄
word count: 6.5k
a/n: i am so sorry it took me foreverrrr to write this😵💫 it's not great, but it's all i got right now. i have a break from school coming up so hopefully i can catch up on some other fics i've been working on but we will see whether or not i can get over this serious writer's block🥲
“Reya! Reya!” You called, waving your arms erratically as you jogged over, a wide grin decorating your face. Your best friend was standing ankle-deep in the water along with a few of your other friends and the Sully kids. They turned in attention as you splashed toward them, eyebrows raised in amusement.
“[Y/N]! What is it?” Tsireya asked, a matching grin spreading on her face when she noticed your excitement. “Just give me a second, Lo’ak.” She briefly turned her attention back to the Omaticaya boy, indicating that she would return to their conversation later. He flushed slightly, nodding before you grabbed Tsireya’s hand and pulled her to the side. Everyone appeared to go back to their conversation, though you suspected they were going to listen in anyway. You didn’t seem to care.
“Reya!” You squealed, almost unable to get the news out, just smiling and giggling while Tsireya laughed. “You’ll never guess what just happened!”
“Tell me already!” She pleaded, grasping your shoulders as if to ground you.
“Atey’ete just asked me to go out riding with him tomorrow!” It came out in one big breath, your enthusiasm obvious in your tone.
“Oh! That’s great news!” She gasped, bouncing a little. She knew how much this meant to you, considering your history. He was the first guy who’d ever actually approached you with anything more than the intention of friendship, and it felt like your heart was going to explode. While many Metkayina males had shown initial interest in the past, they always seemed to move on quickly, some going as far as to completely avoid you afterward.
“Yes! I can’t believe it!” You laughed, doing a silly little dance that made you and Tsireya burst out laughing. However, the reality of the situation had begun to sink in. Your smile faltered. “I’m kind of nervous, Reya.” You bit your lip, suddenly thinking about how inexperienced you were in this area. Tsireya put her hand on your arm.
“What for?” Her eyes were reassuring, and you softened a little. “It’s obvious that he likes you, [Y/N]. He’s been staring at you with hearts for eyes for weeks now!”
“No way!” You let out a breathy laugh, blushing deeply.
“I agree. There’s no way that’s true.” Tsireya’s older brother, Ao’nung, suddenly inserted himself in your conversation, moving to stand closer to you with that perpetual smirk of his. “Atey’ete is a warrior. He’s looking for a potential mate, not a stupid fling.” His words made your heart sink in your chest, your excitement ebbing away.
“Ao’nung!” Tsireya chastised, glaring daggers at the boy. “Just because you haven’t found a mate yet doesn’t mean you need to take out your frustration on [Y/N]!” She hissed. Though it was brief, you could have sworn you saw a pointed look pass between the siblings, indicating Tsireya’s words were about more than just Ao’nung teasing you. You shrugged it off as something that didn’t involve you.
“Just saying.” Ao’nung shrugged, putting his hands up in surrender; ever the cool and unbothered warrior. Eywa forbid anyone see him display an emotion other than that smooth self-confidence. It made you roll your eyes, but you were used to it. Growing up as Tsireya’s best friend just happened to come with the added factor of dealing with her brother. As a kid, he had simply been an annoyance, someone who found joy in pestering you and his sister. But growing up, and specifically completing his Iknimaya, had changed him. It was like he stopped having a personality in favour of being what you and Tsireya secretly called 'King Ao’nung' because everyone seemed to fall at the feet of the future Olo’eyktan despite his bad attitude.
“Why don’t you just go stare at your muscles in the reflection of the water?” You quipped, trying your best to seem nonchalant about the conversation. You liked how much it seemed to get under his skin when you acted like you didn’t care.
“Whatever.” He scoffed, turning to stalk back over to Rotxo and Lo’ak. You sighed, turning your gaze back to your friend. “King Ao’nung strikes again.” The two of you burst out laughing for a second time, and it was easy to feel at least a little better.
“Why don’t we go back to my marui?” Tsireya suggested. “Dinner will be soon anyway, and we can talk more about your date without my pest of a brother interrupting.” She said the last part loudly, shooting a hard look over her shoulder at the tall Metkayina. He just narrowed his eyes, holding his stare even as the two of you began to walk away. You could feel his eyes practically boring through your back. It made your stomach flip.
“What’s his problem?” You muttered when you were out of ear shot, briefly looking back once more to try and decipher why on earth Ao’nung still looked so agitated. Beside you, Tsireya nervously tucked her hair behind her ear. She only did that when she had a secret, which intrigued you.
“He’s just grouchy because he hasn’t found a mate yet and our parents keep asking about it. I think it’s stressing him out.” She explained. You frowned, eyebrows furrowing.
“Fine, but he could seriously have anyone he wants. Even without his status in the clan, pretty much everyone is drooling over him. It’s gross.” You said, making a face. For some reason a knot formed in your stomach when you thought about the way some girls fawned over him. You quickly tried to forget about the feeling.
“Yes… But my parents keep suggesting potential mates and trying to set things up for him, which he doesn’t like. He has someone in mind already, but he’s convinced she doesn’t like him.” She confessed, looking around as if someone might be listening. Your face felt hot suddenly, but you didn’t understand why.
“Who is it?”
“I promised I wouldn’t tell.”
“Oh come on, Reya! It’s not like I have anyone else to tell anyway! I’ll keep my mouth shut, I promise.” You pleaded, feeling an involuntary urge to get the information out of her.
“I’m sorry- I can’t say. It’s a really sore subject for him and he’d kill me if anyone else knew.” Your best friend looked genuinely apologetic, and your heart sunk. It wasn’t like her to keep anything from you- even big secrets- but you decided not to pry. The thought of Ao’nung finding out and getting mad at Tsireya was not something you wanted to be the cause of. Still, you found yourself aching to know who he had his eye on. In all the time you had been around him, he’d never shown much romantic interest in anyone, so the mystery seemed impossible to even attempt to figure out.
“So… Atey’ete, huh?” Tsireya changed the subject, nudging you with an elbow and a small grin. You allowed yourself to fall into the easy conversation concerning your crush, hoping it would help you stop thinking about your best friend’s stupid older brother.
The next day seemed to drag on forever as your long-awaited date with Atey'ete approached. The two of you had agreed to meet on the beach a little bit before sunset, and though it was nearly dinner time, it felt like you still had years to wait.
"Ugh." You huffed quietly, fingers becoming tangled in one of the fishing nets you were helping Tsireya mend. You normally weren't too bad at weaving, but your nerves were getting the better of you. Tsireya giggled.
"Why don't we leave this for tomorrow and go get some dinner?" She suggested, offering you a sympathetic smile, though laughter danced in her eyes. You smiled back in spite of yourself, allowing a small laugh to escape your lips.
"Yes please." You wasted no time in dropping the half-fixed net and hastily cleaning up the area. Nothing was going to take your nervousness away, but Ronal's cooking had a particularly good effect on you even at the worst of times. You could have sworn you ate with Tsireya's family more often than your own.
As the two of you approached Tsireya's marui, you noticed Ao'nung leaning with his back against the outside wall, arms crossed and sporting his usual impassive expression. If you didn't know any better, you might have thought he was on the lookout for you and his sister.
"You know your friends aren't around, right? You can drop the whole 'I'm better than everyone else' act." You said, wanting to distract yourself from your flip-flopping stomach. Over the years you had learned that the best form of amusement came from riling Ao'nung up. When his ears flicked back in annoyance, you bit back a satisfied smirk. However, he was able to ignore the dig.
"Didn't think you'd be here tonight. Aren't you going to be late for a really lame date?" He asked coolly. Now it was your turn to be annoyed.
"Aren't you going to be late finding someone to be your mate? Oh wait..." You trailed off, pleased with such a quick and biting comeback. Something dark passed over his face before he narrowed his eyes.
"Very funny. Are you just bitter because he bailed on you?"
"We're not even doing anything until later, so keep dreaming." That was the best you could come up with as a slight inner panic seized you, amplifying your worry that Atey'ete would indeed bail on your date later. Similar occurrences in the past were enough reason to validate that, and Ao'nung knew it. In fact, most people seemed to know of your inability to be first choice. It stung, but you hurriedly swallowed the hurt, practiced in not thinking about it for too long.
"Grow up, brother." Tsireya finally said, shaking her head at him as you followed her past him and inside the marui. You heard him scoff behind you as he also ducked inside, the three of you taking your typical places among Ronal and Tonowari so you could eat together.
"What are the three of you bickering about this time?" Tonowari asked, an easy smile on his face.
Ao'nung was quick to answer. "I was just advising [Y/N] not to waste her time courting unworthy men." You and Tsireya rolled your eyes, holding in laughter. Ao'nung had a habit of talking himself up, especially to his father, and this time was no different. You didn't know how it was even possible to twist his snarky quips into something so dignified, but he always managed.
"Oh? And who is this unworthy man you are courting, [Y/N]?" Ronal gave you a knowing look, seeing through at least some of her son's thinly veiled attempt at saving face. You blushed deeply.
"Well, first, we definitely aren't courting," You started. "Atey'ete and I are just going out riding later."
"Oh! He's such a handsome boy!" Ronal exclaimed, nodding in approval.
"And an excellent young warrior." Tonowari chimed in, winking at you. You flushed again, fidgeting nervously with your fingers. Ronal continued to go on about your date, telling a story about some errand he had helped her with once, but it became difficult to pay her your full attention when you noticed the sour look that had settled on Ao'nung's face. In a matter of seconds, his self-assuredness had been replaced by intense irritation, his narrowed eyes downcast while he uncharacteristically picked over his food. You'd never seen him look so angry, and found yourself confused at how the topic of conversation had such an effect on him.
"Son?" Tonowari broke both of you out of your separate stupors, waiting patiently for Ao'nung to answer the clearly unheard question. The younger male carefully schooled his expression into something at least sort of neutral looking.
"Huh?"
"I was asking why you don't think Atey'ete would make a suitable mate for [Y/N]?"
Ao'nung suddenly choked on the bite of food he had just placed in his mouth, coughing as his eyed widened in shock. You were also rather shocked at Tonowari's question, though you hid it much better.
"M-mate?" Ao'nung finally managed, no longer coughing but still wearing the same stunned expression. "Don't you think it's a bit soon to be thinking about that? I mean, they probably haven't even talked to each other more than once!" His tone was laced with discontent.
"Well, you all are getting to an age where finding a mate is a priority. Even the beginnings of a courtship are to be taken seriously, Ao'nung." Ronal said patiently, though you could tell there was a double-meaning behind it, a bit more pressure to place on the shoulders of the eventual clan leader. You didn't think it was possible, but he looked even more annoyed than before.
"I know that. I was just saying I don't think they would be a good match." He grumbled. "I'm finished." He excused himself and quickly stood up before stalking outside. There was a tense moment of silence before Ronal spoke up.
"Please excuse him, [Y/N]. He has been having a hard time lately."
"Of course." You said politely, dipping your head down in understanding, though you were secretly perplexed and somewhat irked by his moodiness. You spent the rest of dinner no longer plagued by nervousness concerning Atey'ete, but rather entirely consumed by puzzling over Ao'nung and his strange behaviour.
After dinner you received a brief pep talk from Tsireya and an encouraging hug from Ronal before you set off to meet with Atey'ete. However, you couldn't seem to shake the conversation that had come up earlier. Ao'nung's childishness was confounding, certainly, but as you rapidly approached the date you’d once been over the moon excited about, you couldn't help but think of what Ronal and Tonowari had said about courting. They claimed that at your age it was serious- like had the potential to become mates serious- and that scared you more than you would like to admit. You'd spent so long being rejected by your male peers that when Atey'ete had approached you with interest, his ultimate intention never even crossed your mind. Why shouldn't I still be excited? You thought, trying to think of any logical reason as to why you were suddenly doubting this. Atey'ete was kind and thoughtful, funny and handsome; not to mention a well-respected member of the clan. If he was interested in you, why would you jeopardize it without reason?
As you waged your internal war, you grew increasingly annoyed, particularly at the fact that you kept picturing Ao'nung's face in the middle of it all. The way his lips curled into a frown at dinner. The spark of fire behind his eyes when the two of you had been trading insults beforehand. You wanted to bash a rock into your head to stop thinking about him. It wasn't even relevant to your current predicament! Ao'nung just had an infuriating ability to take up residence on your mind. So you decided to stop thinking entirely, becoming laser-focused on getting to the meeting place and not letting your mind wander anymore.
At first you were able to tell yourself that you were just early. The sky had only just become tinted an orangey pink when you arrived on the smooth stretch of white sand, finding a stray rock to sit and wait on. You had agreed to meet around sunset. It wasn't like it was an exact time.
When that excuse became irrelevant, you came up with the idea that Atey'ete was just running a little late. The sun was sinking closer and closer to the horizon line, the sky beginning to twist into hues of purple and darker blue. He led a busy life. He'd probably been caught up hunting later than usual.
But when the stars finally blinked into existence and the last sliver of light disappeared under the gentle ocean waves, you began to cry. It wasn't voluntary, and you tried to stop, but your efforts were in vain and you eventually allowed yourself to just stare at the waves lapping on the sand as hot tears trailed silently down your cheeks.
What was it about you that was so undesirable? And why did guys feel the need not only to reject you, but to rub salt in the wound by giving you hope in the first place? Whatever string that was holding you together seemed to fall away, your heart bleeding out of your chest onto your hands and legs and into the sand. You felt massacred in all but physical body, and you vowed that this would be your last heartbreak. Even spending the rest of your days alone seemed a better fate than this.
"I told you he was going to bail." You jumped at the suddenness of the low voice behind you, but instantly clocked who it was. Hostility and rage bubbled underneath your skin as you whipped your head around, baring your teeth in a silent hiss.
"Fuck off, Ao'nung!" You barked, not missing the brief worry that crossed his features as he assessed your condition. "You're the last person I want to talk to right now!"
"Really? I thought Atey'ete would be up higher on that list." He quirked an eyebrow.
"Don't be all King Ao'nung right now. I'm not in the mood for that version of you." You snipped, staring hard at him. He knew of the nickname you and Tsireya had for him, but he seemed surprised to hear you say it directly to him. It was usually a funny little joke, but all you wanted to do was direct your hurt onto someone else, and he happened to be the perfect target.
"Alright," His expression softened into something you hadn't seen in a long time. Something like pity. Maybe even something like empathy. "I'll be nice Ao'nung, then." He tentatively sat down beside you, his leg just barely touching yours. You tried to ignore the buzzing feeling that ignited in your stomach at the near contact.
"I didn't know nice Ao'nung still existed." You scoffed, pulling your knees up to your chest and wrapping your arms around them, resting your chin on top of them as you fixed your gaze on the dark ocean in front of you. He was still staring at you.
"Nobody wants a soft clan leader, [Y/N]."
"Being nice and being soft are two different things."
"Maybe."
"Do you really think that people won't respect you if you drop the walls you've built around yourself?"
"You don't know what it's like."
"No, I don't. But I do know what it's like to look up to you. To watch as you try to live up to your birthright." Your eyes flicked back to meet his, surprised by the vulnerability etched on his face. You hadn't realized how much you missed the boy you once knew. "I know it's not easy to be under so much pressure, but you don't have to change yourself to fit into some mold of the perfect little prince." You held each other's gaze in silence for a short time before a smile crept onto Ao'nung's lips.
"When did you become so wise?" He asked, nudging you gently.
"I've always been wise, skxawng. You just never cared to notice." You teased, still unsmiling but feeling slightly better. Something about this real version of him set you at ease. Something about him made you feel good, even if you wouldn’t admit it.
"I notice more about you than you think..." He mumbled, the words barely audible to you. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, sure that you heard him wrong.
"What?"
"I asked how long you've looked up to me for." He lied, trying to divert the conversation back a bit, a slight blush appearing on his cheeks. You studied him with narrowed eyes for a few seconds before deciding to let it go. You were actually kind of enjoying the deep conversation.
"Since always, I guess." You shrugged. "You may have been Tsireya's annoying older brother, but you also used to be thoughtful. And funny."
"I'm not funny anymore?"
"Don't push it." You said, eliciting a deep chuckle from Ao'nung. You smiled a bit in spite of yourself. "I just mean that you weren't going to become the Olo'eyktan one day just because of who your parents are. I always thought you were meant to be a great leader. Because of who you are. Because you care about everyone way more than you let on."
"Don't push it." He mimicked, this time making both of you laugh.
"Just stop being such a jerk, alright? Then maybe it won't be so hard to find a girl to like you." You grinned at him, ignoring the dull ache in your chest that your words incited. Ao'nung, however, quickly dropped his smile and fixed his gaze to the ground. It only lasted a few seconds before he changed the subject, but you felt stupid for calling him a jerk.
"Are you okay?" He asked, catching you off guard. You'd become so wrapped up in the current conversation that you forgot what originally brought you there in the first place.
"Oh- a-about the whole date thing?" You let out a breathy laugh, disappointed to be returning to such a sore subject. Thankfully it didn't hurt quite so bad anymore, though. "Yeah, no, definitely! I didn't actually care too much anyway so... It's, um, it's whatever." You internally cringed at your attempt to sound nonchalant. Ao'nung clearly wasn't buying it, but he didn't seem to want to push it.
"He's a douche anyway." Ao'nung said. "Trust me, you don't want to be going out with him."
"I guess..." You trailed off, biting your lip as you felt a sudden boldness take hold of you. You knew he was just trying to make you feel better, but you couldn't hold back on what you were truly wanting to know. "Look, you're a guy, do you know what's wrong with me?"
"What?"
"I mean, there has to be something seriously off-putting or undesirable about me. We both know this isn't the first time I've been stood up. I just want to know what it is about me." The words came out rushed as your grew embarrassed about voicing your deepest insecurities, and to Ao'nung, nonetheless. He looked a little pale as he stared at you, searching your eyes.
"You think there's something wrong with you?" He breathed, sounding more like he was asking a rhetorical question than a real one. He seemed to be rapidly working something out in his head.
"Well, yeah. I know I'm not exactly the prettiest or the most talented woman in the clan, but after a while you get the impression that something's off when everyone else is getting into successful relationships but you. Guys barely even look at me anymore." You admitted, still regretting the conversation topic but pushing through anyway.
"Oh, shit." Ao'nung whispered under his breath, suddenly standing. You couldn't read his expression anymore as it became more complex, not to mention confusing. You knew it was an awkward thing to talk about, but this reaction seemed a little extreme.
"Where are you going?" You called after him as he began to rush away in the direction of his marui, appalled that he was leaving so abruptly. His answer was too quick and quiet for you to make out, so you just sat in stunned silence for a moment, watching as he eventually disappeared from sight. "Okay. Nice chat." You said, pressing your lips together, unsure of what to do next. And for the umpteenth time that day, you found yourself focused on thoughts of your best friend's brother, trying to fit another seemingly impossible piece of the Ao'nung puzzle together.
“[Y/N]!” Tsireya called upon catching sight of you. She quickly apologized to the group of friends she’d been standing with and took off toward you, catching up easily. You were on your way to mend some more fishing nets, and you didn’t slow down even as she fell into step with you. “Hey! Where have you been this morning? I couldn’t find you and I was about to force Lo’ak to start helping me search!” She laughed. Her easy joyfulness was infectious, but you had to settle for a small smile as the best you could do in response. You were still trying to work out your complex web of feelings from the night before, something you’d spent all morning avoiding everyone to do. You wanted to talk to her about it, but it felt impossible to lay out clearly.
“Sorry, Reya,” You apologized, offering her a sincere look. “I just needed some time on my own to think.”
“Oh… Things didn’t go as planned last night then?” She asked gently. You sighed, shaking your head before a breathy laugh escaped your lips.
“Definitely not. Unless you count being stood up again as a plan. Which I guess maybe I should have. It happens enough.”
“[Y/N]…”
“It’s okay, really, I’m used to it. Besides, your brother of all people came to the rescue.”
“W-what? Ao’nung was there?”
“Yes. I have no clue what he was doing out there, but we ended up talking for a while.” You explained, carefully examining her reaction. While she looked mostly surprised, there was something different, like worry, behind her eyes.
“What did you talk about?” Her response felt strangely eager, like she was looking for you to say something specific.
“Mostly him, actually. I finally had the guts to tell him off for acting like a jerk sometimes.” You started, briefly chuckling at the memory. “But then it got really weird. He was trying to make me feel better about Atey’ete, but I couldn’t stop myself from asking him what’s wrong with me… Y’know, because he’s a guy and I thought maybe he would know.”
“And? What did he say?”
“Nothing, really. He got really pale and started acting like he was in trouble or something. Just got up and left. Like I said, weird.”
“Oh.” Was all she said, her brows furrowed as if deep in thought.
“Yeah. And do you know what’s really crazy?” You went on, unable to stop yourself from expressing the thoughts you’d been obsessing over all morning. “What’s insane is that I got stood up again and all I’ve been thinking about since is your stupid brother, just trying to figure him out. And even worse? When I do think about Atey’ete, I feel... relieved,” You were full-on ranting now as Tsireya watched with wide eyes. “I’ve been trying all morning to understand it, but I’m just relieved that Atey’ete didn’t show up. And I haven’t been letting myself even consider it, but I think- I think it might be because of Ao’nung.” You finally said, almost shocked that you admitted it out loud. The two of you stopped walking as a charged silence filled the air.
“Ao’nung likes you too!” Tsireya suddenly blurted before quickly slapping her hand over her mouth in horror of the admittance. You froze, eyebrows shooting skyward as you felt the world around you come to a slow halt. The only thing you could manage to process was the slow blinking eyes of your best friend as she searched your face. “I shouldn’t have said that but it just came out.”
“What are you talking about?” You whispered in disbelief. She stared at you for a few more second before sighing, resigning herself to an explanation.
“I think it’s time you know, anyway.” She started. “Ao’nung’s the one who scares off any guy who shows interest in you. He used to claim it was because they weren’t good enough for you, but I finally got him to admit otherwise a few months ago. He likes you, [Y/N]. A lot. But he’s so dumb and won’t believe me when I tell him that you like him back-”
“Woah. I don’t think I would say that.” You interrupted, though a bloom of heat rushed to your face at the accusation. Tsireya just gave you a look, quirking one eyebrow.
“You may be able to hide it from yourself, but you can’t hide it from me.” She stated. “I hear the way you talk about him when you’re not on your guard. And I definitely don’t miss the way you stare at him when you think he’s not looking.”
The realization felt like a blow to the chest. She was right, after all. You had once acknowledged your crush on the boy before pushing it far down out of sight when you thought he could never see you that way. You figured you would always just be Tsireya’s annoying best friend in his eyes.
“Even if I do,” You reluctantly admitted. “That’s still crazy. He’s been scaring guys away instead of just asking me out?” You were just now processing the whole story, going back through every heartbreak and every time you thought something was wrong with you with the new knowledge that Ao’nung was behind it.
“Yeah, I know. I kept trying to tell him how badly it was going to blow up in his face, but he’s so stubborn.”
“Since when?” You changed the course of the conversation out of the blue, but Tsireya was quick to follow along with what you were asking.
“Since he completed his Iknimaya. But he’s been in love with you since we were kids, [Y/N]. He’s absolutely terrible at expressing it, clearly, but it’s true. I don’t think he’s ever even considered anyone else.”
Again, her words landed like a punch to the gut, though it mildly annoyed you that the feeling was less painful and more relieving, your stomach doing excited little flips at the thought of Ao’nung seeing you the same way you saw him. You had to work to reign in the giddiness racing through you. Ao’nung still had to face the consequences of being a total moron, after all.
“I’m going to talk to him.” You decided, looking to Tsireya to agree. She nodded her head.
"Good. I think he's just getting ready to go out hunting, so you'd better hurry." She gently pushed you in the direction of the reef. As you started to jog away she called, "Don't let him off easy, okay?" And a laugh escaped your lips.
"I definitely won't!" You assured her, though you knew it was going to be difficult considering the giddy excitement coursing through your veins.
Luckily, he was still on shore when the reef came into your view, looking to be repairing one of the fishing spears before he set off with the other hunters. You slowed to a walk as you approached, and he only looked up when you were mere feet away from where he sat in the sand. Your shadow fell over him and your crossed your arms as he looked up and met your eyes, doing your best to look at least a little mad.
"[Y/N], what are you-"
"Why did you scare Atey'ete into ditching me?" You questioned calmly, narrowing your eyes and shoving down a smirk as panic took over his features. The hunters who were in the vicinity went silent, turning their attention to you and Ao'nung. "Actually, I'd also like to know why you've done that to every guy whose ever been interested in me."
"W-what- How did you..." He trailed off, trying desperately to find the right words as he squirmed under your gaze. "Did Tsireya tell you that?" He seemed to finally come to his senses, looking around at all the amused eyes fixed on him. He quickly stood up and grabbed your hand, tugging you to a spot out of view of the others. The contact between your hands was like a spark of electricity, briefly making you forget why you were supposed to be mad at him. The momentary amnesia doubled when he stepped closer to you, staring urgently into your eyes.
"How did you find out?" He asked, bringing you back to reality as he let go of your hand. You shivered at the loss of contact.
"Doesn't matter. Just tell me why." You said quietly, not missing the way his expression shifted into one of chagrin. It almost made you laugh to see him looking so uncharacteristically sheepish, but you maintained your composure.
"I don't know." Was all he said, unable to meet your eyes anymore, kicking at the sand beneath his feet like a child. Your jaw tightened at his lame response. Now you really were annoyed with him.
"Okay, fine." You scoffed, turning to go. You weren't expecting him to be so guarded, and it hurt to know that he wasn't willing to admit his feelings for you even when you were so blatantly offering him the chance.
"Wait!" You felt his fingers wrap around your wrist, igniting that familiar spark of electricity again as he pulled you back before you could get too far. You turned to face him again, letting your disappointment show on your face. "I'm sorry," He sighed, shaking his head as if figuring out what to say next.
"Just forget about it, okay? You're clearly still too busy being King Ao'nung to take me seriously." You wanted to run away and hide for the rest of the day. Maybe the rest of your life. Tsireya seemed to have overstated his feelings for you, and it was hurting more with every passing second. The only thing still keeping you there was Ao'nung's gentle grip on your arm.
"I do take you seriously. And I want to talk to you- I just never know what to say."
"Well you could start with a genuine apology."
"I'm sorry," He stepped slightly closer, forcing you to tilt your chin up to meet his gaze. Your heart sped up. "I really am. And I know you have no reason to believe me because I've been acting like a jerk lately. And you have no reason to forgive me, either. It was really fucked up of me to do that- to threaten guys who were interested in you. I was always so jealous at how easily they got you to like them, and I wished you would look at me the way you looked at them, even just for a second. But I didn't want to hurt you, [Y/N]. I swear," A pained expression took over his face, and he shifted his grip on your hand so that your fingers were laced together. Warmth bled through his touch and set you at ease. "Last night was the first time I realized how badly it was affecting you. I always assumed you didn't care that much because you never showed it, but I realize now that was a stupid assumption. I was selfish, and I'm really, really sorry."
You stared into his blown pupils, not saying anything for a while as you processed his words. Since your original plan had been derailed, you had to work out what to do next.
"I wasn't mad when I got here." You said, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. Ao'nung furrowed his eyebrows. "I mean, I was a little bit. I wasn't about to let you off for basically making me think I was unlovable for a while there." You smiled wider as Ao'nung cringed slightly. "But I wasn't mad because I was actually just relieved. Because for some Eywa forsaken reason I have this insane crush on you that I've been trying to get over for years, and even though I would never admit it, every time I got stood up I felt relieved that I wouldn't have to settle for someone I could never love." His eyes widened at your confession, and you wondered if he could hear how loudly your heart was beating.
"Oh Eywa, [Y/N], I'm so sorry that I made you think-"
"Are you seriously not taking your chance right now? I'm starting to doubt how much Tsireya told me you liked me..." You said, holding in a laugh as his eyes widened yet again. For a future Olo'eyktan, he was really dumb sometimes.
But all it took was that push from you and he was kissing you. Softly, at first, almost like he felt you were going to break, but when you fell into his body and wrapped your arms around his neck, he became more desperate, tugging gently at your bottom lip. His warm hands rested on your waist, pulling you flush against him. It could have been seconds or days before you pulled apart, panting and grinning like fools.
"Tsireya didn't exaggerate," He started, resting his forehead against yours as his thumbs caressed your sides. "I like you so, so much. I just never thought you'd feel the same. I always figured you just saw me as your best friend's older brother." He admitted and you chuckled.
"I thought you just saw me as your sister's best friend." This time the both of you laughed softly before he placed a quick kiss against your lips again.
"I see you." He whispered, and suddenly the world around you diminished, leaving only Ao'nung in front of you. You could hear the blood rushing in your ears and feel the slightly quickened heartbeat inside his chest, the points of contact between you like pieces of a puzzle fitting perfectly together.
"I see you." You finally said back, completely enraptured by the way he was staring at you, like you were the only person in the entire universe in that moment. You stood like that together for who knows how long, occasionally exchanging sweet kisses and blushing grins.
Finally, you decided to say something, "So how many guys did you have to threaten to stay away from me? Was it like, just a few, or are we talking about more of a whole line up?"
"Oh, please." He grinned, shaking his head as the two of you laughed.
"I'm just trying to make up for some lost self-esteem over the years, okay?" You chuckled, offering him a mischievous look.
"Alright, I get it. I probably deserve the guilt trip." He smiled, holding his hands up. "But I don't think you have anything to worry about when it comes to guys wanting you." He admitted, looking slightly annoyed at the thought. You gasped dramatically.
"So it was a whole line up! You must have been busy keeping them all away from me." You said proudly, earning an eye roll from him.
"Don't let it go to your head. Besides, it doesn't matter anyway."
"And why's that?"
"Because now you're mine." He hummed, suddenly using his loose grip on your waist to pull you closer and place his lips on yours once again. You smiled into the kiss. Maybe all that rejection was worth it after all.
