One more step is done. A few more courses on my agenda this year, including becoming a reflexology teacher. I am excited to get started, but I don't start until July, so.. patience. Many have known how much I love learning, teaching (as a homeschool mom), and mentoring. There have been many changes over the past 12 months including substantial business growth. In today’s afternoon FinMan session, I initiated a sort of an ice breaker (so as to counter the sleepiness and to energize the class while answering some seatwork problems). I used a mentimeter to engage everyone online (real-time). The question? where can their future job possibly be? Quite interesting that top of the list is building their own business and working for a private firm. Glad to see that a few chose the academe. Quite surprising too because no one’s willing to work for the government. Many of them claimed that their ethical standards are at stake if ever they choose it. It may be a reasonable argument, but I challenge them to make a difference and become a change agent in that workplace.
