nueng loves so so much. god. he has his walls up high, so high, terrified of caring and being hurt but at the same time he falls in love so easily. so hard. with everything he has. he loves and loves and he does his best to protect those he loves. it's not that he's unloved - not quite, not fully - but it's that he's so cautious with love that when he does get it in the form of a boy, sunrise pretty and salty like the ocean air, he does everything in his power and then some more to keep that boy safe. he's willing to give up everything he has just for a chance to keep palm safe, even his own love, and - we always talk about how insane palm is, how he's so self sacrifical (and he is), but he has nothing to lose except nueng. on the other hand, nueng is willing to sign over whatever the hell uncle kit wants without hesitation, give up all his executive power, it doesn't matter, just - as long as palm is safe.

I don't care what happened this episode because my man is ALIVE! Everyone half-assed apologized to my man acting like they weren't just hella rude to him one episode ago, but you know what? It's okay because my man is a good guy who doesn't hold grudges and isn't petty like my ass, so he said "No. I'M sorry, and to prove it, let me pay this hospital bill even though your boyfriend is loaded, and let me move with this basic ass dude to England even though we are still clearly in bromance* territory."

*I noted the awkward hug in the Dangerous Romance trailer that is now staring me straight in the eyes, so these two better get rid of this just-friends vibe, quick!

Lamb Chop might not have killed his father, but he did give him a warning shot, which is better than Vegas and Shin. Patricide isn't the answer...except when it is, like here because Kit is probably planning his next move while in prison like a comic book villain, but what do I know.

Man, now I'm afraid of anticipating GMMTV shows because the last few GMMTV shows I've watched, I'd highly anticipated for months or even 1-2 years before watching them (Be My Favourite, Only Friends, 23.5) and they all ended up being meh to me. Only Warp Effect escaped unscathed and even then I had issues with how they dealt certain things, it's just they did everything else so well that I overlooked them.

I have literally only heard good things about Cherry Magic though, so I'll hope that changes things around for me (along with Wandee which seems to be going great from the reactions + My Love Mix-Up starting next month).

Thinking again about how Palm's sense of love is so tied up in duty and sacrifice. The way he doesn't let Nueng take care of him. The way he knows Nueng loves him and yet still fears that he is only loved because of what he can do, not who he is. The way he loses control of his leg and he runs - because Nueng might find him a burden or worse, pity him, and Palm cannot stomach that. The way he punishes himself over and over again because that is what he has always known (he has known his father leaving and his mother leaving and sacrificing his childhood for love and so that must be it. That must be love. Right?) -

- and yet the way he is so desperate to be loved, too.
