Randomly coming across a Pink Floyd related post out in the wild has reminded me that I’ve been searching effortlessly for weeks for my Pink Floyd shirt. You know, that kind of exact one that’s EVERYWHERE, the dark side of the moon cover, and either gets you a response saying “NICE PRIDE SHIRT” or that approving nod from some 50yo man saying, “Hell yeah, good taste in music, kid.” Both responses are equally great.
I need to find it again. It looks good and I Will be stepping out of my car after just blasting both Time and Money maybe 4 seconds ago.
#taks speaks#i know shirts with the dark side of the moon album cover are like EVERYWHERE#but i want this one back#though i will say that my favorite album is the Wall and not that one but that one is pretty great. everywhere.#and currently in my car's cd player#you know. last week. i tried introducing that guy I've been talking to to pink floyd#his response may as well have been 'go girl. give me nothing.' because he didn't like money#but he liked led zeppelin so all is not lost#he's got to get used to it#because when I'm not listening to punk and whatever glass animals is. i have the taste in music of a dad#and yes. dads in the wild have acknowledged me approvingly before and it made my day#you know. my dad was the one that gave me that cd#and apparently doesn't like any songs other than money anymore#because he's still got that effect of radio overplaying the songs in the 70s or something#i know i have this effect from some pop songs#and it makes me wonder what radio was like that back then because it sounds like something

Hi ma’am 😁🧡 May I get a BoB or TP ship please? Here’s my description:
she/her, 5'5 so average height, kinda skinny, very pale and freckly, reddish brown hair, i have to wear glasses sometimes bc i have grandma vision :'), i have hazel eyes with long eyelashes so they look like doe eyes, but out of all my friends i'm the most baby-faced so i get carded a lot when i go drinking rip.
I'm an ENFP 7w8, and my love language is quality time followed by acts of service. Like, i just love to go on mini road trips with friends and having a super playlist to listen to while we go somewhere together. My mom says that my spirit animal is either a badger or a raccoon lmaooo. and i'm a hufflepuff if that matters lol.
i would say that i'm a social butterfly who doesn't shy away from leadership positions. My roommate says i have Main Character Energy lol. i can also be generous, creative, brainy, thoughtful, energetic and witty, but with my own brand of integrity. on a bad day, i can be filled with self-doubt and overthinking and i tend to self-blame a lot. i struggle with ptsd because my dad is a recovering alcoholic and i had to deal with a lot of shit as a kid.
i love doing archery, making music, going to concerts, working with my hands, archaeology or psychology facts, i am really into photography lately and i love going to concerts and taking band pictures. i also love fashion!! especially punk fashion! i either want to work for a big fashion house one day, be an archaeologist, or work with veterans in counseling. idk lol there's too many options!
fun fact! i also volunteer with my cousin at camp toccoa in georgia on the weekends and i run their social media pages :) i also love to volunteer at the humane society with my friends and walk the dogs <3 i also have my own dog whom i adore <3

Ok so here me out now…
- But you and Bob would be so cute together and if feel like you guys would compliment eachother so well!
- When he first met you, he would find you absolutely adorable.
- When you tell him a little bit about yourself he would find you so interesting and would immediately want to learn more about you.
- and by the end of the night he would just straight out tell you he wanted to take you out and he REALLY liked you
- You guys are such a fun and social couple that everyone wants to be around!
- After the war, he realizes that not everyday is guaranteed, so he loves spending quality time with you and also values his time with you so much (for bob it’s really the little things that makes your guys’ relationship special.)
- You know how every couple has that “one song?” Well instead, you guys have one big playlist together.
- Which you guys love to sing to during long road trips
- and whenever y’all have freetime or time during the weekend you guys love to go on mini adventures together! (only if you bring your dog too!)
- He usually lets you pick out where you guys are going as long as he’s with you ( he’s just happy to be there LOLL)
- He honestly also admires your integrity and he loves when he sees you take initiative into WHATEVER it is. (it lowkey turns him on too.. )
- This man is one with words and when you are having one of your bad days he will be by your side 100% to talk and listen to you.
- He usually can tell when you start to overthink and he will offer for you guys to go out and try to get your mind off of it, or if you want to stay inside he will be there with a blanket and some popcorn for a movie marathon lol.
- You and him have both been through a lot of shit and that’s something that you guys both can relate to.
- He can definitely understand you when it comes to ptsd and some of the feelings that come along with it.
- And even tho both of your experiences are a bit different, he is always there with open arms for you. (And you to him too!)
- You guys have learned to lean on eachother during days like those, and long deep talks with eachother are always so important . (free therapy sessions are a necessity)
- He is also so blessed to be able to freely express his emotions and to have someone that understands him and his feelings.
- Concerts are definitely a must! And I could definitely see y’all being fun ppl to party with
- he also loves when you take pictures of him 🤭 (but he would never tell you that)
- He admires your open mind that is so full with ideas! He is so supportive in whatever you aspire to be and just wants to see you happy!!

I'm an ENFJ 2w3, and my love language is acts of service followed by quality time. Like if you catch me doing something you know that i don't particularly enjoy, you know that i really like you. Grumpy x Sunshine ???
I think so because babes I ship you with !!!
Lewis Nixon— The primadonna himself
Oooo ok so you're now the main character of a grumpy x Sunshine novel; Just how it is since I'm here making the rules 💅🏻
Right ok so you two are definitely the unexpected couple but imagine it's like Mr grump just sees you and is like hm, I like them...
Quietly admires you from afar vibes AT FIRST
But like Nixon is arrogant and spoilt as daddy's money tends to do that <3
He loves your baby face btw
You two definitely do spend a lot of time together once you're a couple
He's into gift giving, I bet. So mans going to give you whatever he sees that reminds him of you.
Oooo and dogs
Dogs dogs dogs
Right so maybe you two adopt a dog together?
Nixon definitely doesn't want a kid so a dog shall do, yea?
Ooo and if you're into punk fashion you just know he views it as quite attractive.
He definitely will listen to any fact you want to tell him
Idk being sober and in love changes people or whatever

2021 best of. At least I beat my time last year and actually wrote?
Starcrossed- More of an All for You divorce album than a Butterfly, in a 'it stinks, but whatever. Now do you want the wedding china that I'm unloading?' kind of way. I didn't like it at first because of the tracklist making the songs feel too samey (Also, even this long into the new music model, I'm not used to songs being under 3 minutes). The movie and listening to the songs out of order helped a lot. The best songs are justified, simple times, and camera roll. An interesting example of the Glass Animals/Tame Impala sound.
If I can't have love, I want power- Halsey's first impressive album, to me. Really glad this body of work came out. Best songs are you asked for this, Girl with a gun, and One Eye closed.
Lately I feel Everything- Another fun project, another great side to Willow. I like the different types of alternative rock on it. Listen to Naive, Extra, and Gaslighter, as well as F**k You.
3:33- Did I lose interest in Tinashe now that she’s independent and there’s less of a bad guy or goal for her music career? Yes. Is this album still good? Yes. My favorite songs are Shy Guy and Pasadena.
No gods No Masters- Yes, I would say that their last three albums have been their most similar to each other (See all the Record Store Day songs included in the bonus disc) as songs that would play in a Deadly Class type of genre show about young adults, but that says more about alternative rock nowadays than Garbage. That said, I still enjoy the industrial vibes on this one. I like The Creeps, Anonymous XXX, and This City Will Kill You. It was interesting hearing the Eurythmics influence in songs like The Men Who Rule the World.
Texis- Hyperpop gone rock. Locust Laced is that song. I'm Not down’ is startlingly on point for this point in the pandemic, and Sweet75 is a great opener.
Play with the Changes- Rochelle Jordan is the closest that I liked to dance pop this year. A great combination of UK garage and alternative R&B.
New Long Leg- I guess this is usually when my list is what I’m in the mood for and I’m in the mood for post-punk. Scratchcard lanyard is cool, and if you haven’t yet, watch the music video! I don’t understand what Her Hippo is about but it makes me sad. I like the drums in More Big Birds.
Soberish- Casualties of my schedule change. Not as familiar as I could be. Spanish Doors is both sad and relatable. If you like Liz Phair’s character studies of men like Soap Star Joe and Uncle Alvarez, listen to Hey Lou. Meanwhile, In there is very new and trip hoppy for Liz. These songs are more like her EPs Juvenilia and comeandgetit, and whitechocolatespaceegg outtakes instead of, say, her Girly Sound songs.
Who am I?- Precursor for the Avril Lavigne album this year. It might just be 2000’s pop rock, but if the formula isn’t broken, don’t fix it. Listen to You Don’t Own Me and Fall to Pieces.
Unlimited Ammo- Fun hyperpop, that has both songs that are ethereal and wintry, like Steel, and great bangers like Finish Him.
Pinkpantheress- I enjoy the drum and bass sounds as well as the wistful 19.
Pink Noise- A different kind of going pop. It’s like if the group We Are King made more music. Very lush. I like Magical, Got Me, and Church Girl.
Screen violence- A great combination of alternative rock and synthpop. Lauren’s voice has a lot of urgency. I like Nightmares, How Not to Drown, and He Said She Said.
Pearl Charles- Good country and soft rock combination. Listen to Only for Tonight for disco, and Impostor and Slipping Away for soft rock.
Flux- Countlessth year-of best for me, but I have finally decided to let go of my various reservations and just enjoy. I like Lessen the Damage, On the Level, and As Strange as it Seems. For alternative rock music what Light Years is to disco.
Homegrown- I love the saxophone sample in Slow Down. I like Dysfunctional and Come Over. Good combination of contemporary and alternative R&B.
Death of a Cheerleader- Lux is THAT song. Kind of cheating because I like Popular, a cover of the Nada Surf song released January 2022, more than the album. Sort of how TIME has people on influential lists for potential influence in the future.
Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 3- See Poppy’s review for umpteeneth great project. I like So Cold, Syrup, and Cashmere.
Non-fiction- great post punk. I like Violent & Paranoid.

Zoo Date with The Lost Boys
This is dedicated to @breadboylovin who gave me the idea and let me run away with it you're absolutely lovely 💛
A lot of these are based on my experiences at my favorite zoo near my alma mater the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park
I'm running out of gifs that have all four of them sad times
This is probably the softest thing I've ever written enjoy guys
Listen, the boys are actually big dorks and would love going to the zoo for a special nighttime event (which would be brilliant because many cool animals are more active at night anyway)
Especially if you're super into it, their favorite thing is seeing you all excited and dorky and cute
Expect teasing, but there will be plenty of opportunities to tease them right back
Paul's favorite part is seeing the big cats. Lions, jaguars, cheetahs! He especially likes seeing the cheetahs with the golden retrievers zoos pair them with as cubs, or if they have baby cats that they bottlefeed? Everyone will see this big bad punk being a big adorable baby cooing at the baby cheetahs, trying to press his face into the window
Unsurprisingly Marko could spend the entire time in the bird atrium just checking out all the cool birds. Especially if he can feed the birds? He will ditch the rest of you, this is the only thing he's doing. But don't worry, he'll share all the rad bird facts he learned with you when you meet up again
Dwayne is happy to go along with whatever you're doing. He also takes the best pictures of you, including candid shots, so he's documenting the night. He is the personification for that old post that's like "imagine if someone looks at you like you're the most precious thing in the world when you're not looking" that's him taking pictures of you
However, you do catch him staring longingly at the people who paid to feed the giraffes. Trust me when I say that's the best ten dollars you'll ever spend, let this boy feed some giraffes he will smile so big it's the most precious thing you've ever seen
David wants to pretend he's not into it, he's way too cool for that, but you swore he almost cracked a smile at seeing the polar bears. Almost. But then you make your way to the reptile house. Marko ditched you at the atrium, and this is where David will ditch you. Show him the snakes babey!
Honestly you might have to persuade him not to mind trick a zookeeper and steal a snake
You all meet up back at the gift shop, where the boys are being absolutely chaotic. Of course they're being competitive over who is going to get you the best souvenir but you are scoping out your own gifts for them (and being a lot more subtle about it)
You end up with a bunch of new stuffed animals for your nest in the cave. Marko gets you a stuffed California condor, and is secretly very happy that the money he pays is donated to conservation efforts. Paul of course gets you a cheetah stuffie, and Dwayne gets you a giraffe. David gets you one of those super long snakes. It's the biggest one he could find, and he's very proud.
Of course, you're more than happy to shower your boys with gifts. You get each of them an ornament of their favorite animal to put on their bikes. For Marko, you grabbed an artsy keychain he can add to his jacket. Something cool and geometric. You get Paul a shot glass that has a cheetah molded onto the side of it. You find something really unique for Dwayne, some kind of giraffe wall art or trinket. I have a little painted wood giraffe mask from the San Diego zoo that I think he would love. And you can't resist teasing David, so you get him a polar bear plushie. "Babe, he matches your hair!!!"
He loves it
The five of you pile into a photo booth and take goofy pictures. You put them up by your bed in the cave so you can see it all the time, it's just such a fond memory for you

Warning(s): Are they back to bickering again? Like an old married couple ? Bucky Barnes gets a surprise.
Please read the other parts of this book using links from the Masterlist.
Three more months later,
(Six months ever since you left the Avengers Facility)
Bucky lowered his cap, and so did Natasha, Steve, Clint and Sam as they pushed their way through a swarm of drunk college kids that were dancing to a loud, buzzing electronic music.
"All these years, and I still don't get how this is even good. Buck and I can tell you how a good clubbing was done, back in the 1940s– " Steve was screaming on the top of his lungs.
"God, this is giving me a goddamn headache, why are we here again?" Bucky raised a brow, and fixed a cold, impassive glare on Sam.
"I was born on this day. I have the right to call the shots." Sam pointed out, and Natasha just grinned, her body almost swaying to the beats that were playing.
"God, at least they have drinks. Come on punk. I think the only place the two of us can be is the bar." Bucky nudged Steve and Sam just rolled his eyes while he and Natasha started dancing, Natasha rolling her hips in a seductive way while Sam was just sort of moving his hands.
Bucky, Clint and Steve walked up to the bar and they fixed themselves in a corner, their eyes scanning around as Clint smirked, "Come on, loosen up, grandpa's. What are we drinking?"
"I'm not drinking– "
"We'll have the four roses bourbon– "
Both Bucky and Steve spoke at the exact same time, and Bucky narrowed his eyes as he looked at his best friend, "Really? You people drag me out here and we're not even drinking ?"
"Buck, what's the whole point of drinking when we can't even get drunk?" Steve just shrugged, while Bucky just shook his head.
"It's better than nothing."
"Well I can't win from you. Let's do it. Although I'm not sure I even heard about that before," Steve chuckled and pulled a barstool, so he could fix himself on it as Clint spoke to the bartender.
The bartender placed the drinks on the counter, and Bucky curled his flesh fingers around his drink, lifting it up and placing it to his lips, his eyes watching Natasha and Sam, as they made their way towards them.
"Not fair? You started without us, Cap." Natasha smirked at Steve, and leant against the counter so she can throw in her words to the bartender, telling him what she wanted to drink. Sam just made his way closer to the men, standing next to Clint and slowly turning towards three girls that were standing by the dance floor, their drinks in their hands, but their eyes were on them.
"Well check that out. I call dibs on the one in green. Damn." Sam smirked, and Steve just shook his head in disapproval, and brought his drink up to his lips, while Clint smirked and rubbed his palms together, "Nah, I'm good mate. You can have her. I have a good one back home."
"Hey, she is looking at you man." Sam nudged Bucky's knee using his elbow and he just rolled his eyes in the most casual manner and turned his head to listen to what Sam had to say, when his eyes fell on one of the girls, who was biting her lip, staring at him. Disinterested, he just turned away; back into his drink, staring at the glass when Natasha just blurted out, regretting her words immediately, "lover boy's just waiting for Y/N to come back, bring him the hottest woman on earth now, he would still want her back."
Bucky's grip tightened on the glass, and instinctively, Steve grabbed his flesh arm, to hold him back before he could lose his control and do something he would later regret.
"Barnes, I didn't mean it," Natasha immediately added.
"You women often say things that you never mean, which is why I don't bloody understand the things that goes on in those minds of yours," Bucky brought up his index finger, placing it on Natasha's temple, tapping it twice.
The lot fell silent then, each of them now lost in their own trivial thoughts. Bucky replayed the conversation he had with you in your apartment, and how you had said that you didn't mean it. He just scoffed, and shook his head, a little too obviously and Steve started looking at him, noticing his friend's sudden weirdness before his phone beeped in his pocket and he pulled it out. "Great, Tony wants us back at the towers. Someone hacked into two of the HYDRA bases systems in Kazakhstan and Hungary. It was live for two minutes before they took it off, but Tony managed to get his hands on a few cryptic codes and coordinates." Steve stood up, his broad, bulky frame almost blocking out the lighting behind him, as he slid his phone back into his pocket.
"Well, it couldn't have been the government, or CIA. Does Tony know the potential hacker?" Clint raised an eyebrow, and Natasha crossed her arms over her chest.
"Couldn't be traced. But again, if we can figure out those cryptic codes and coordinates, we will have a lead." Steve called out before turning around to leave.
╞═════𖠁𐂃𖠁═════╡
"Romanoff, you get anything?" Tony called out, while Natasha just grunted in annoyance, not even bothering to crane her neck to look back from one of the computer screens, as her fingers skillfully glided across the keypad, typing here and there. Bucky leant by the wall, eyeing Steve's computer screen, watching him intently as he was struggling to turn the cryptic symbols into something meaningful.
"Bingo, I think I have it," Natasha yelled, and immediately, the four of them flocked around her screen, staring down at the brightly lit screen.
"Eighth Avenue, Tech Laboratories?" Bucky mumbled, his eyes squinted slightly as he leaned over Natasha's back, typing something onto the computer so that the maps came up.
"But those labs have been shut down ages back, illegal animal testing and shit." Tony replied, in a casual tone and Steve just bit his lip.
"That's the whole point, Tony. Whoever this is, whatever is going on, it's illegal, which is why there's this shade."
"Guys I hate to break it to you, the more we stay here talking, we might end up missing whatever is going on out there," Natasha deadpanned giving them a serious look, and Steve nodded.
It didn't take them very long to reach the old, abandoned laboratories that looked stale and dinghy in comparison to the other buildings surrounding it. It was weird and confusing why this building hadn't been taken down yet. Another thing to notice was, that the building, although miniscule, the empty land that was in the boundary of this building was massive, and yet secluded.
Bucky and Steve stepped off their bikes, while Natasha got off hers, with Sam riding pillion behind her. Their hands flew to their gun holsters and immediately, they drew out their guns. Their eyes fell on a black sedan that was parked a few meters away; and they knew that whoever this was, was probably still inside. Steve's index finger flew to his lips, as the four of them, with quiet steps starting making their way into the building, their eyes scanning the vicinity for anything that was off.
"Do we split up or – " Sam begin but Bucky have him a glare, and he pressed his lips shut, " my bad."
The four of them walked in deeper, noticing an intense change in the heat level inside as compared to the outside. The inside of the laboratories were freezing, and it felt like they were inside a freezer. Climbing a flight of stairs, making sure they didn't press much weight to the stairs, not wanting the stairs to announce their arrival, they stepped onto the first floor, and reflexively, they stopped, when they heard a familiar voice.
"Well, does everything look okay to you?"
Natasha's head snapped towards Steve in recognition, and his eyes widened, his own head snapping towards Bucky.
"Hey, why the fuck does the voice sound like Fury?" Sam whispered in Bucky 's ear.
"Because it's Fury, Sam."
Before Sam could speak, another voice reached their ears, and this voice was foreign, and unknown.
"Mr. Fury, this is something unlike I've ever seen. Those cells are multiplying at a rate faster than a normal human growth rate. These bruises, these bruises you see aren't something very common for a six month old fetus, yes they kick and all, but this is– "
"Holy shit, Fury probably knocked up a girl. Boy I think we are just at the wrong place at the wrong– " Sam began whispering again, much to the annoyance of the others. They all turned towards him at the exact same time, ready to shut him up when a soft, feminine voice started speaking; a voice all of them were aware of.
"Did Erskine's serum cause any damage to my baby?"
James Buchanan Barnes turned white like a chalk. His eyes and his mouth were frozen wide open, in an expression of shock, and although he was staring straight at Steve; he appeared not to notice him at all, and all he could think of was what he had just heard. Steve took his best friend's side, placing his palm softly on his bicep, slightly shaking him out of his daze. Whoever that third person was, had probably left by now, and from what they could hear; it was just Fury and Y/N inside.
"I know you want to go and pull those motherfuckers out of their shitholes, Y/N, I really know you do, but right now, they are going to come after you and try to get their hands on that kid."
"And you think I'd let them ? I'd break every single bone in their bodies. Those pesky rodents, they deserve to be wiped off, you know it," You hissed, through pursed lips, unaware that a set of four eyes were now watching you and Fury from the corner. You were sitting on what looked like a gurney, your feet dangling off the edge. A loose fitting shrug was covering your shoulders, your palms cradling your pretty evident baby bump.
"I'm tired of dealing with your stubborn ass. This is the time to stay hidden."
"I am not going to do anything stupid Fury, not until this little guy's here," You hopped off the gurney, and ran your fingers through your hair, using your shrug to try and hide the bulge of your belly, before you looked towards the back entrance.
"Call me later, I'm gonna use that back door and get the hell out of here."
"Whatever, snarky," Fury smirked.
"Don't get started," you warned, making your way out through the back, your gun resting securely in the waist of your stretchable pants.
Nick Fury waited a few seconds until he had made sure that you had gotten out safely from the back. He then turned around, and casually started walking out; only to come face to face with four semi to super pissed Avengers.
"Fury," Steve was the first one to break the silence; and sensing that the four had probably heard it all, Fury lost the defensiveness in his stance and took a deep breath.
"Yeah, I didn't tell any of you because she didn't want me to," he was eyeing Bucky now, who had a tight squared jaw.
"How long have you known?" He raised an eyebrow, stepping in front of Steve.
"She came to me three months back, didn't know where else to go." He stopped speaking for a split second and then, in a low voice, almost grumbled under his breath, "I told her it is always a bad idea to hook up with a colleague; look where it landed her. First, it got her married to a fucking HYDRA dick, and second, it got her pregnant with a super soldier's spawn. When does she ever listen? And you, don't even get me started. You were the bastard that knocked her up."
"Come on, Fury. That's just harsh," Natasha chimed in.
"Guys, can I talk?"
Steve, Fury, Bucky and Natasha turned towards Sam and they gave him a quizzical expression, while Bucky just glared at him.
"The thing is, those coordinates, that hacked details, what the hell was that?"
Fury's eyes widened and he clenched his fists tighter against his side, stepping closer towards Sam, "What coordinates? What hacking?"
"It looked like someone hacked into the HYDRA system, we found these coordinates, and that's why we found out the secrets that you were hiding Fury," Natasha defended Sam immediately, as she winked playfully at Bucky. This is when Fury suddenly turned, pulling out his gun, and began sprinting towards the back entrance; as quickly as his legs could carry him, bolting down the lab.
"Where the hell are you going?" Bucky followed his pace with his own grueling pace, managing to reach him in a split second, and so did the other three.
"Those hackers weren't hacking from HYDRA. It was most probably HYDRA getting into our systems, the non official ones, to find her. They've landed on a jackpot, a freaking Winter Soldier baby. And if what you're saying is true, they're here already, and Y/N is probably in trouble."
Meanwhile, this wasn't supposed to happen, not again.
No one knew of this place, then who were these men?
You slowly slid your palm into your shrug, pulling out your loaded gun. You were pregnant, but you definitely weren't a damsel in distress, and if need arose, you were going to fight the HYDRA scum. Your mind was already working on the calculations; there were four of them, and maybe, there were more. They had a plus one on you, but yet, you had an edge. They couldn't hurt you, if what they really wanted was your child.
"Никто не должен умирать. Пожалуйста, пойдем с нами, и мы не причиним тебе вреда." One of them stepped towards you, and instinctively you stepped one step back, raising your gun in the air, until you were in a face off.
"Sorry, gentlemen, I don't do Russian, my mum did nag me to learn it, but unfortunately, I never did. Can we switch to good ol' English now?" You hissed, venom in your voice.
"Miss Y/N. Let's not do that, shall we? One squeeze of a trigger from either you or my men, it's going to be a disaster," the man spoke in thick Russian accent, and you rolled your eyes, trying to look through this man's mask. This was where you made a mistake. They had orders not to kill you, but not to not hurt you. You dropped your guard for one second when this man spoke, but just when this happened, the bullet from another man's gun hit you right on your palm and your gun dropped; clattering to the ground with a loud noise, leaving your palm in a stinging, burning pain, blood spurting out of the hole the bullet had made right in the center.
In that frozen second between the stand off you saw the man's eyes flick from you to your belly and a faint nod passed between him and his men, a sort of a signal. Your faces are unreadable, no fear, no invitational smirk, just plain hatred in your eyes, and passiveness in his. One of them suddenly lunged forward, when your reflexes kicked in, and you immediately ducked, this proving to be much more difficult now. You threw out your leg, kicking the man hard in his shins until he hit the floor hard with the blow, when another one lunged at you, trying to grab you.
Punches, kicks, hard blows.
You had lost to them once, and had been unable to protect your son, but this time, you were not planning on letting history repeat. You were going to fight, for your life, and you were going to protect this child, no matter what it took.
╞═════𖠁𐂃𖠁═════╡
The four men and one woman soared through the hallway at the back, their guns blazing as they ran towards the back entrance from where you had just left, minutes back. Gunshots rang out from all around them now, which meant that Fury was right; HYDRA was here and you were in danger. Bucky could feel his heart beat in his chest, pounding, banging, trying to get out. He kept running forward and ahead of the others, feeling as though his blood were on fire. His limbs were moving on their own. He was disconnected from everything but the ever present sound of his drumming heart as he kicked the back door with his foot, watching it fly off its hinges and land a distance away with a crash.
The first thing their eyes fell on were the black uniformed corpses that were spread out evenly on the floor; two with a bullet mark, and two who had a gruesome bite on the side of the neck and the other one probably having had snapped his neck. But within seconds, Natasha's eyes had spotted you in a corner, sitting against the floor, your head resting against the wall at the back, your bleeding hand pressed against your chest.
Your eyes were open, your mind was awake and alert, but the adrenaline of it all was too much. You felt liberated, and free, that finally, you had managed to something you had failed in. You had, for now, saved yourself. And it was all on you.
The rest of the Avengers crowded around you, Natasha kneeling next to you as she shook you gently, her voice soft against your ears, "Are you okay? You took them out yourself?"
"Yea, I'm peachy."
Your smirk reached your eye, and everyone, including Bucky, gave you a smile back; they were all relieved. You placed your palms on the floor, in an attempt to pull yourself back up when Bucky suddenly stepped forward, leaning over you.
Your eyes met his, the second his eyes were face level with yours. The blue in his eyes looked bluer than the ocean. Six months, and you had forgotten how beautiful this man was, how beautiful, yet how broken. You placed your arm around his neck, a mutual understanding passing between the two of you, and the minute he sensed that you were securely latched to his shoulder, his metal arm held you from your waist, pulling you up to your feet until you were back up.
"Buck, we should all get back. Before they come back in more force," Steve commented, breaking the moment between the two of you.
"Well, this was nice," you drawled, absentmindedly, your hand flying up to your frenzied hair as you started curling your index finger against one of the strands. "I should leave."
"The only place you're going now is the Avengers Towers," Bucky crossed his arms over his chest, looking down at you.
"Did I ask you? You don't have a say in this."
"Jesus, not the two of you again." Natasha sighed, in a frustrated way, running her hands through her hair as she walked off.
"Well, that's my kid in there. I won't take a no. Now, you can voluntarily choose to come with me, back where you should be or–" He took a step closer to you, his face bent slightly so he was glaring into your eyes, not with anger, but with a look of determination.
"Or, what?"
"I'll lift you up and carry you there myself."

If I'm doing all the music asks, so are you. I CHALLENGE THEE.
It has been a calendar year since you sent me this. SORRY. You know I’ve been busy. @groovyaviator also asked me Daft Punk, Fall Out Boy, and Led Zeppelin. Let’s do this.
- Alabama Shakes: Favorite female lead? Aurora.
- Arctic Monkeys: Favorite male lead? Chris Martin.
- Ben Howard: An album that reminds you of your favorite season? Aurora’s All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, because it reminds me of when of that moment in late October when you realize winter is on its way. But I’m also a fan of our weather right now, so for that I would assign Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto. And I’ve also come to favor the weather around my birthday midsummer, and for that I’d assign The Golden Age by Woodkid.
- Bon Iver: An album you could listen to on repeat for years? Coldplay’s X&Y. Regina Spektor’s Far, as well as What We Saw from the Cheap Seats. alt-J’s entire discography. The How to Train Your Dragon soundtrack by John Powell. The soundtrack to Jane Eyre by Dario Marianelli. The Golden Age by Woodkid.
- Bastille: A song that brings back bad memories? Already Over by Red. Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood. The Ballad of John Hurt by alt-J, but the memory is more bittersweet than bad. Yes by Coldplay, tied closely with Two Birds by Regina Spektor.
- The Beatles: An artist you think is overrated? Ed Sheeran.
- Coldplay: A band you used to love but never listen to anymore? Coldplay, right now! I still love them very much but I’ve been listening to a lot of other stuff. Also, Linkin Park, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence… I went through a phase.
- Daft Punk: Favorite instrumental (no vocals) song? The Heart Asks Pleasure First by Michael Nyman. It also is my favorite song, but specifically the composer’s cut version.
- Dawes: A genre of music you absolutely cannot stand? I really have a hard time with country. I’m sorry, Becca.
- Electric Light Orchestra: Favorite song to help you cheer up? I have a 75 song playlist of these, my dude. Rasputin by Boney M. reminds me of a ridiculous time in high school and never fails to make me smile, but most of the time my go-to is Everything’s Not Lost by Coldplay.
- Elliot Smith: Favorite song to listen to when you’re sad? I tend not to listen to a lot of music when I’m sad… but maybe the cover of Where Is My Mind by Bandit.
- Evanesence: Ever done drugs and listened to music? Lol no.
- Fun.: Put your music on shuffle and list the first three. Whatever happens, I blame Spotify: 1) Dust by Hans Zimmer (Interstellar soundtrack), 2) The Kill Ring by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon soundtrack), 3) Daddy Issues by The Neighbourhood. I only can recall listening to the middle one because I have a habit of saving albums to listen to later.
- Fall Out Boy: First album you fell in love with? Vocal: Linkin Park’s Meteora. Instrumental: John Williams’s soundtrack for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
- Green Day: A song that makes you feel rebellious? Boss Ass Bitch by PTAF!
- George Ezra: A song that reminds you of a past lover? I don’t really have any of those, but you can refer to the bad memory response because it’s basically the same list.
- Genesis: A band that your parents always played when you were little? The Rolling Stones, because if it’s parents plural my dad is the automatic DJ and he plays classic rock exclusively.
- Hozier: Favorite brand new artist? How new is new? Brand new to me right now are Tom Odell and Glass Animals but both have been at it since 2012.
- Iron & Wine?: What song would you want to be played at your wedding?“ Sleeping At Last did a cover of The Proclaimer’s I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) that I absolutely fucking love. But I would rather do an upbeat surprise choreographed dance number for my first dance because I don’t know how I feel about sharing an intimate moment with my new spouse in front of all those people.
- Imagine Dragons: What song would you want played at your funeral? At the beginning? Talk by Coldplay. At the end, The Heart Asks Pleasure First by Michael Nyman.
- Jack Johnson: A song you heard in a movie and fell in love with? Hans Zimmer’s song Time off of the Inception soundtrack.
- Joy Division: Your least favorite album by your favorite band? Ghost Stories by Coldplay because it’s sad and boring. Probably also their newest album but I’ve refused to sit through all of it so I don’t know.
- The Killers: Name your top three songs of all time. So many repeating answers tonight! The Heart Asks Pleasure First by Michael Nyman; Talk by Coldplay; Aurora’s cover of Nature Boy.
- Linkin Park: Suggest a band you think I might like. @beccathevampyreslayer I think you’d really enjoy How to be a Human Being by Glass Animals because it’s equal parts dark and upbeat. @groovyaviator, listen to The Golden Age by Woodkid. Becca can tell you that I’ve loved that album for years because the artist is also a director and intentionally writes his music to make listeners feel like the hero of a film.
- Led Zeppelin: Favorite album art? HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE. The Golden Age by Woodkid. Literally any art featured on an album or EP for Sleeping At Last. The Resistance by Muse. Any artwork featured in EPs or albums by Fleet Foxes. Light & Gold by Eric Whitacre (if one is looking to buy a print for me I’d go with this one). Parachutes by Coldplay. The Lateness Of The Hour by Alex Clare. Anything used by Foster The People.
- Muse: Craziest music video you’ve ever seen? Nothing will ever beat the Turn Down For What music video.
- Mumford & Sons: Favorite cover version of a song you love? Any iteration of Nature Boy by Nat King Cole but especially Aurora’s version. The same can probably also be said for The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel, but nothing beats the original.
- The National: A song you sing in the shower? (I Won’t Say) I’m in Love from Hercules!
- Nathaniel Rateliff: A song that never fails to make you emotional? Laughing With by Regina Spektor has like a 50% chance of making me cry, as does Coming Back Around off the How to Train Your Dragon soundtrack.
- One Direction: Backstreet Boys or NSYNC? I liked both! I think when I was younger I favored NSYNC, but boy bands aren’t really my mode of choice for experiencing ‘90s nostalgia.
- Pink Floyd: You can go back in time to see any band you want. Who would it be? Coldplay when they were touring for X&Y. Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite as its debut.
- Queen: You can meet any band member, living or dead, and hang out with them for 24 hours. Who would it be? Eric Whitacre, who I have met before but definitely didn’t hang out with. He’s a hero of mine because he kind of walked into his hometown university, picked up music super late, and went on to redefine classical music. He was driven by passion, and his lack of early training really shows in the innovation in his work - the man draws PICTURES of his music before even trying to write down notes. And he collaborates with all manner of interesting people, pulling source material from really unconventional places. I’ve been contemplating a major change in life paths for the last year or so and it’s always very heartening to see someone do the same, and especially by sheer force of will.
- Radiohead: Favorite concert you’ve ever been to (or a band you want to see live). I saw Aurora live in November and she changed my life. Marina and the Diamonds was incredible and so was her opening act, Christine and the Queens, who I also love. Regina Spektor was so good live too. And seeing Ke$ha last fall was just a lot of fun. I regret not going to see Coldplay a lot sooner because I’d love to see them in general but I don’t like most of their newest music and I’d really rather hear stuff from Mylo Xyloto and earlier.
- Rihanna: A musician you respect, even if you might not like their music? I don’t really listen to Demi Lovato but I have mad respect for everything she advocates for.
- Roo Panes: Favorite acoustic version of a song? Aurora’s acoustic version of Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1). It’s haunting.
- Simon & Garfunkel: Favorite album movie? (Ex. Yellow Submarine, The Wall, Help!, The Graduate) Kill me later but I don’t think I have ever seen one in its entirety. I think I watched Help! with Becca, though.
- Skrillex: What’s the strangest song you have on your iPod right now? Rasputin by Boney M. and Chaccaron Maccaron by El Mundo.
- Tame Impala: A band none of your friends listen to? Aurora, Christine and the Queens, Tom Odell. Becca introduced me to the last one but she doesn’t listen to his discography actively.
- Taylor Swift: Name that one artist that literally makes you so angry you’re willing to throw the damn radio right out the window to make it stop. I’ll never be over the travesty of Robin Thicke. One of my favorite members of being a community advisor was our end of the year celebratory dinner, when the DJ started this song and the whole room stopped dancing and stared and him and I called over, “Please just change the song.” Rape culture is bad, kids.
- U2: A song or album that somehow got onto your iPod but you have no idea where it came from??? Weird. Probably some random movie soundtrack.
- The Vaccines: What are your favorite lyrics? Quote them for me. Do they mean something special to you? “Are you lost or incomplete? Do you feel like a puzzle, you can’t your missing piece?” “Are you what you want to be?” “Is this the life you’ve been waiting for?” “Good is better than perfect, scrub ‘til your fingers are bleeding. And I’m crying for things that I tell others to do without crying.” “I want to love you but I don’t know how.” “Are you getting stronger or is time shifting weight?” “Potentially lovely, perpetually human, suspended and open…” “You can’t pin me down!” You might sense a theme here. I think I do.
- Vampire Weekend: A band or artist you follow on Twitter? No Twitter for me, but if I did it’d be Eric Whitacre because his fans send him good music memes and he shares the best of them.
- Vance Joy: An artist where you can never tell what the hell they’re singing? Chevelle and George Ezra.
- Weezer: Favorite old school band? Simon & Garfunkel.
- The xx: A genre/band you’ve been getting into that you never thought you would enjoy? Synthpop.
