Hello! Love your blog. I was wondering if I could get some typing help? I have a general idea of what I am, but that’s not saying much since I have a tendency to hop between a few of them (INTJ, ENTJ, ESTJ specifically). Either way, hopefully you can help me settle it.
I’m 22 and about to graduate from college. It’s been a journey, because I’ve transferred twice and changed plans a few times, but that’s the proper college experience, I think. One transfer closer to home can be owed to depression and Covid, while the first was simply me not meshing with the campus. I’m not too worried about how it’ll affect my grad school apps due to good grades and valid reasons.
Despite the schooling-related indecision, I tend to get an idea of what I want, then fixate on it heavily. Example: I recently tried to publish a novel I’ve been working on for years now. Realistically, I know the odds of getting your first work published and making enough money to start a career on it are beyond low, but a big part of me thought “yeah, except I worked on this draft consistently all these months and this feels right, so it has to pay off” – of course, it didn’t. That’s not to say it wasn’t worth it, but I’ve come to accept it won’t be that easy, so I’m going to focus on a job with more security first lol. That means proceeding with law school. Some friends might think I’m selling my soul by putting my dreams on the back burner. I disagree, though, because if writing is meant to be I can still make it happen this way but with more security. Plus, I’m used to having some higher objective to motivate me through each day, and I don’t like feeling aimless. To me, that would be settling for less: wasting time working next to minimum wage at some place I can’t see myself staying.
I’d like to think of myself as spontaneous despite knowing I’m really not. When I’m with friends, maybe, but I’m more than happy to do nothing on Friday nights, knowing I’ll be able to wake up early tomorrow and do whatever I’m doing at a decent time. That being said, I would be happy to hop on a flight across the world if someone offered to pay the way. I love travel, so I’d hope to find a career that makes that possible. The same goes for whatever work I’m doing. Ideally, I could move from place to place as I do my job, because I fear being rooted will keep me from seeing everything I’d like to see.
I’m definitely an introvert dichotomy wise, but if group work appears, I’m happy to make a plan and remind everyone when a due date is near, and I expect them to follow through or provide some forewarning. I’m not outright nasty when someone inevitably slips up, but I’m not going to give them an excuse either. Can’t relate since I’ve never had a problem with procrastination. Like, I’d say I’m procrastinating, but to me procrastinating is choosing not to get ahead on the project due next week while I have spare time now. That makes me sound like a robot or a liar, but I’m mostly just very aware of my limitations and have learned how to manage work in a way that keeps me from having to stress.
I have no idea how to end this. Quick notes? I’m ambitious but not competitive – literally cannot relate to envy, because I don’t think someone having something means you can’t have it too – you just have to work on/for it. I’m not very curious lmao. Like, I’m as curious as the average person, but I don’t care about how things work (Ti slacking?). Uhh, fandoms annoy me. Like, seeing fans distort characters and needlessly project onto them in cringe ways makes my brain itchy. I’ve been called insensitive. I can easily cut someone off after finding, for a fact, that they’re being manipulative. Whatever baggage they have, I don’t care. I don’t see the point in fighting for a relationship when a “friend” is working against you. I’m also the “advice friend” because I don’t have drama and seem to know how to diffuse it easily or cut it out completely. Now that I think about it, all of my closest friends have a lot of anxiety, so maybe I collect them and care for them a little since I have none.
Hopefully that wasn’t too much useless info. I think I’m mainly struggling on differentiating between lower Ne vs Lower Se. My indecision comes in rare bouts, so maybe that’s the weak Ne manifesting. Or maybe I’m lower Se for forgetting the larger scheme by focusing on material things like getting to travel and making a high salary? Whatever. These are things most people prioritize, though. To be honest I am really not sure based on this, and it might be good for you to revisit this after a little bit of time out of school. I would rule out the Ti-Fe axis, but I can actually see arguments for either high Te or high Fi My guess is high Ni if you have high Te you don't really sound like a high Si user - and part of what is tripping me up the most is that you said a lot of things that make me thing of high Fi and the spontaneity of Se or Ne, but there's a lot here that really sounds intuitive but distinctly not like an Ne user. So I actually think there are arguments for either INTJ or ISFP, and I actually lean a little more towards "ISFP with good discipline/time management" than INTJ.
Here's my thought process, which hopefully can get you started.
I do feel like transferring twice is a little abnormal (not bad, just more than the typical college experience of maybe one transfer and changing one's major once or twice) but COVID did fuck with things more than usual so no conclusions there.
The fixation on writing a novel and the long-shot of gaining enough success to focus on that full time - particularly right out of school or even before graduation - is either intuitive or possibly high Fi. I really do not think an ESTJ would have that idea - not that they wouldn't be a writer, but I don't think they would have had the same expectations surrounding payoff and would have assumed from the start that this will not be their career initially. For that matter I have my doubts on ENTJ, but it could be possible for INTJ.
The part about spontaneity actually fits really well with auxiliary Se or Ne, in that those types at your age will have moderation from Ni or Si respectively and will often want a combination of stability but also the ability to travel a lot and move around. The example you gave actually still seemed very spontaneous; a lot of ExTJs for example might really dislike doing nothing on a Friday night and would instead have something planned. What you describe sounds very go-with-the-flow, just in a low-key way.
The part about procrastination indicates that Ne is probably off the table but Se is possible; some SPs are pretty good at being realistic about getting things done and it sounds like you don't have the high Te motivation of "I must get this done early" (not that high Te users can't procrastinate or do things on time but not down-to-the-wire).
I often tie ambition/competitive nature to enneagram more than MBTI, but I will say a lot of Te users and especially Te-doms tend to be both. They don't have to be (and if they're only one, usually it's ambition over competition), but it's pretty common. Curiosity is complicated but not caring about how literally everything works does seem like it would rule out Ti and I'd fully agree there. The part about being frustrated by fandom distortion of characters is relatable to me and I feel that comes from a place of sensing, ie, were you not paying attention to canon, so that seems like a point towards high Se for you. The parts about advice and interpersonal relationships mostly just reinforce that you sound more like someone on the Fi-Te axis, which you already suspected, but again...being the advice friend, particularly from a caring position, seems more high Fi to me than INTJ; a lot of IxTJs (and definitely ExTJs) at your age are just not emotionally ready for that level of patience with anxiety. I know I wasn't.
I would also say focusing on the material things (travel, a liveable salary) is more in line with higher Se! Te users do have a measure of pragmatism, so again, can't rule out INTJ, but the travel especially is what's making me think Se is pretty high in your stack.
All in all? My guess is an ISFP with good time management skills, possibly with an enneagram 6 adding to the stability/pragmatism. That said I wouldn't totally rule out INTJ (possibly also enneagram 6?); I just think it's less likely.

It sounds crazy, but I always imagined Izuku as the type of person to want to have their wedding outside.. Kind of like- in a garden? Or a forest? You know that the wedding Bella and Edward had in the forest? Kind of like that! Except surrounded by flowers!
Flowers like.. Magnolia, forget-me-nots, tulips, and of course - sakura! Or, well, Cherry blossoms~ Just! Flowers that really brighten up the secluded space. You’d need seclusion, after all, especially since you are marrying the number one hero.
Wouldnt it be so cute to be married under a willow tree, a brilliant white arch covered in white roses and vines standing above you both? Ackk vines.. So beautiful. Oh! Maybe there’s even a little rock pathway down the aisle?
The air is fresh.. Because you’re in the countryside! Maybe even in the mountains. Somewhere where a little babbling brook is not too far behind the trees, its soft bubbling noises relaxing the party-goers.

The wedding day is obviously going to be the most important day for both of you! But also, nerve-wracking as hell. Im positive Izuku has probably freaked out five times since he woke up at 6AM. Maybe a mental breakdown. Yknow. 
He’s a sensitive guy! And he’s terrified! Nono, he doesnt have cold feet. He wants to marry you! He cannot imagine his life without you in it, but God is he absolutely terrified that you might be the one leaving him at the altar.
Not that he doesnt have faith in you! It’s just.. His insecurities and anxieties taking over him. Even after all these years of unconditional love, he still cant help but feel you deserve someone way better than him. And he fears one day you’ll wake up and realize that as well.
But you’d have to be absolutely crazy to even think about doing that, huh?
So yeah. Wedding day morning is filled with Izuku’s best man - Shoto - trying to calm the sporadic man down, bringing Toshi and his mom in to aid as well. He may have thrown up. Who’s to say.
You, on the otherhand, are having a great morning. You’re bouncing with excitement! Ready and oh-so impatiently waiting to marry the man of your dreams in the most scenic area you could find. It truly was a catch! A relatively cheap place - the majority of your funds were spent on food and flowers. I struggled really really hard when transitioning from high school to college because I have severe social/general anxiety and am not good at dealing with new situations. My grades reflected that for my first semester, but I learned fast and am now going strong!

What outward image you want to display is totally up to you and they can't do shit about it (unless you’re literally in your underwear or something totally obscene like that, which is, yes, illegal). But seriously, you can get away with a lot.
As a sub-note, I personally live in Florida where it's hot, like really hot, and the humidity is most often at 100% so these “underdressed” occurrences are not uncommon. If you live under similar conditions where most people strip to fight the heat I'd give one fair warning: the AC is no. joke. You might end up freezing your ass off no matter how hot it is outside because the majority of the day you aren't in the sun—you're in a classroom that's blasting an AC that no one ever touches. I usually opt for a t-shirt under a flannel or some other type of over-shirt that can be taken on and off when needed. Find what works for you.

People tend to sit where they are at the beginning of the year the same as at the end of the year (give or take a few days where you’re later than usual). This is most probably due to the fact that students rely on people in their proper seats to help them find their seat quicker. Even professors rely upon students sitting in the same seats for attendance purposes. Try not to move the general area of the class you attend, or it may throw everyone off!
Lectures 1.2 (preparation)
This is just how I do it I by no means am telling you it is right or for you. Take the information as you will and enjoy!
The night before, make sure you have the readings read and the classwork done (whatever that may be). I can attest to the power of doing the readings (as one who is in multiple English classes and therefore has A LOT of readings). I had a class last semester that I barely did any of the readings for and, although I got an A, I didn’t enjoy it at all. Not only that, but I can’t believe the number of times that I complained I “didn’t learn anything.” Like, no shit, Michaela. You didn’t try. Getting readings and classwork done, even if it isn’t for a grade, will make your life so much easier and you might even find yourself enjoying the subject as you will get a much better understanding.
If you find something confusing or an obscure thought pops up while doing your readings/work, write it down. It will give you a way into class discussion and will help you tons in understanding the topic. I can’t count the number of times in which I know I had a question but by the time it came to the lecture I’d forgotten it.
Before lectures, I like to do a little researching on the topic outside of the textbooks. There is a lot of interesting information out there that can aid you in discussion when in class. Building a relationship with the professors of your major is key to your educational career as you move forward and the best way to do that is by getting them in their element and finding a common ground (I’m still working on this as I don’t like meeting new people).
Make sure you have everything you need. Whether that be a full case of pens and highlighters and your favorite notebook or simply your laptop and a water bottle, you don’t want to show up without the necessities.
Lectures 1.3 (how I do the thing called class)
To start on the most basic level, I get to my seat and set my desk up. I’m super anal about order and my OCD tends to kick in here so you probably won’t have to the compulsive problem I do to situate things over and over again because they’re a little tilted (like just chill Michaela), but however you do it, get yourself prepared before the professor starts the class. It’ll get quiet really quickly and (for me at least) shuffling around in your bag for your stuff is super uncomfortable and embarrassing.
During the lecture, I write down a lot of things besides the notes from the PowerPoints. For me, the notes I take in lecture are really messy. I not only cover what is in the slides, but also anything my teacher says that isn’t there. Usually, if the teacher decides to go off on a topic, it is important and you should pay extra attention to it (unless it’s obvious that your teacher just goes off the rails all the time). I also tend to add reflective commentary and any questions I may have (and their answers).
On the topic of questions, don’t be afraid to ask them. It is severely important for your questions to get answered. You thought them for a reason. You clearly don’t understand something and need a little more detail to do so. It does you no good to have a question sitting there in your head without an answer. Knowledge is power people. Even if you have to wait till the end of lecture because of shyness, do it. You’ll be thankful later.
If your lecturer has included them in their slides, copy the graphs or models (even if it looks like chicken scratch) those charts are more than likely going to show up again later on during a test or quiz because they are short, simple, and cover a heap of information. Get. It. Down. 
I absolutely love when a teacher creates an example for better understanding. They usually come up with something that is simple and easy to understand and that is something that has become EXTREMELY helpful for when I’m trying to understand theory, philosophy, and language (yes, even the English language gets me). Examples given by teachers are also something to keep in your notes as they are usually never generic and can be helpful down the line when you need to write a paper.
After lectures, you should always engage with the material again. I do this by rewriting my notes. It has been scientifically proven that writing helps with long-term memory of ideas and conceptual information. Writing the notes twice helps me even more. By creating a format of my notes (as opposed to the bland first draft) I am able to make a snapshot in my head of those notes and thus remember the information (this is just something that helps me as I have a slightly photographic memory. You by no means need to doll up your notes. It’s a lot of work and not for everyone so don't feel bad about doing something more minimal!) 
For vocabulary, I swear by flashcards. I, of course, have the vocab in my notes already, but I use flashcards for memory as they are not only a technical third time of writing the vocab., but they also help in giving a flash in my memory of the characters (Chinese) and their meaning. The repetitive motion of flipping the flash card also helps when I try to think back to the vocabulary I went over. If you are able to remember the routine, you can effectively form an image in your head of the word and remember the information more clearly (ok, I know this might not work for everyone, but that’s how my mind works. I would compare it to a “Mind Palace” where schemes and events are created to aid with memory of a certain topic, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say my memory is that good.)
That last point was sort of a sneak peek into Part 5! I really hope you enjoyed this. It was a little more personal as how I go about my lectures will differ as what will work to you, but I always find it fascinating to see how others work academically. Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD)
Definition - Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), also known colloquially as acid, is a hallucinogenic drug. Effects typically include altered thoughts, feelings, and awareness of one's surroundings. Many users see or hear things that do   not exist. Dilated pupils, increased blood pressure, and increased body temperature are typical. Effects typically begin within half an hour and can last for up to 12 hours. It is used mainly as a recreational drug or for spiritual reasons.
LSD does not appear to be addictive, although tolerance may occur with use of increasing doses. Adverse psychiatric reactions are possible, such as anxiety, paranoia, and delusions. Distressing flashbacks might occur in spite of no further use, a condition called hallucinogen persisting perception disorder. Death is very rare as a direct result of LSD, though it occasionally occurs as the result of accidents or reckless behaviour. The effects of LSD are believed to occur as a result of alterations in the serotonin system. As little as 20 micrograms can produce a noticeable effect. In pure form, LSD is clear or white in colour, has no smell, and is crystalline. It breaks down with exposure to ultraviolet light.
Causes of LSD Addiction
LSD is not a physically addictive drug, and it does not cause brain damage. Its toxicity level is very low, and there are no withdrawal symptoms due to continued LSD use. The tolerance level to LSD has a rapid build-up and it diminishes after a few days. Although LSD is not physically addictive, it can be psychologically addictive.
The LSD user can become addicted to the “spiritual journeys” that are taken, or they can become addicted to the sounds they see or the visions they hear, and an LSD rehabilitation program can help heal this addiction. Individuals abusing LSD often begin because of peer pressure or curiosity.
Signs of LSD Addiction, Use, and Dependence

On the “active holiday”

Anybody who knows me even slightly well would be aware that the thought of stopping and simply doing nothing, for longer than about five minutes, is (ironically) paralysing to me. I took this quirky (and often anxiety-inducing) trait of mine to the extreme on my recent Scandinavian adventure, booking in a number of active experiences to undertake throughout my trip.
Wooden bike tour                                                                                                 
The first of these was a bike tour, on a wooden bike, through Stockholm. I was disappointed by how little riding was actually involved; we stopped far too often for my liking, when I really just wanted to wheel my way through Sweden.

A stop for Fika (a snack and hot beverage that Swedish people indulge in a couple of times a day, to keep up their energy levels through the short, cold and dark days) more than likely effectively cancelled out any exercise benefits I derived from the ride itself. Still, it felt refreshing to be cruising through the city -- even if only for short bursts of time.

The crisp Autumn air made me legitimately fear for the fate of my exposed fingers. Hey, I’m from Australia; give me a break. We don’t know what cold is. It did also feel exhilarating on my face as I rode along hills, streets and back alleys, though. 
5/10. Needed more bike riding, less sight seeing.

My next considerably active holiday experience involved catching a bus half an hour south west out of Stockholm and spending five hours hiking through a stunning national park. For the better part of a day, my personal tour guide (personal only because nobody else turned up for the tour) and I ambled over rocky cliffs, through stunning Autumnal pine forests of gold and green, and even spotted a real life reindeer, which he managed to scare off by loudly yelling ‘Fucking hell!’ in pure delight -- that’s apparently the first time he’s seen one so close on a hike in that particular park. That’s also why I don’t have a photo of said reindeer, but just believe me. It happened.

Life’s a climb, but the view is great.
We stopped twice; once, for Fika, of course. This time a healthy Fika of organic green tea and protein-rich rye bread and cheese. Our second stop was for a lunch of vegan Swedish ‘meatballs,’ which we cooked over an open fire and devoured with lovely homemade chokeberry marmalade. Overall, a solid effort, and my tour guide said that I impressed him by managing to keep up with his hefty pace. Considering the uneven terrain and fact that I nearly fell multiple times, I’d have to agree. 
8/10; would hike again.
HELL ON EARTH a.k.a an early 12.5km RUNNING tour of Copenhagen        
For this, I had nobody but myself to blame. Taking my endeavour to experience an ‘active’ holiday to the utmost extremes, I signed up and PAID FOR the hellish chance to run what was advertised as a 10km, moderately paced running tour of Denmark’s capital. Okay, cool, I thought. I’ll get some exercise in, see the sites, and surely, there will be runners slower than my moderately fit 25 year old self. 
Nope.
That is because, by default, I was the slowest: It was just me and the guide, a 7ft tall, Viking-blooded Danish gentleman with legs as long as my entire body. He is currently training for the New (: York (: Marathon (: and this was just his regular daily run, that he was making some cash on from the side.

A sneaky photo of Peter The Dane’s impossibly long and toned legs.  Also, please note the shorts, at 8am on a crisp Danish Autumn morning. Those viking genes are REAL, y’all. It’s probably blurry due to the fact that my blood sugar was dangerously low and I was possibly on the brink of fainting.
As he effortlessly regaled fascinating facts about some of Denmark’s most historical and impressive buildings and monuments, I tried to not die. I think I managed to splutter out maybe a couple of half-hearted questions and a few barely audible “yeps” and “ah ha”s, but, for the most part, I was just trying to survive. Just keep running, I thought. It has to be over soon.

Pretty much the only photo I had time to take on the run. Peter allowed me to stop and catch my breath for half a second, and I snapped this shot because, in that moment, I truly needed Jesus.
At the end of the run, I was rewarded with the promised “croissant,” which was really some small puff pastry concoction he claimed to have made himself, and about a meagre shot’s worth of coffee. Pls. 
I ironically ran away at the end, jubilant in my regained freedom and operating on pure adrenaline from the realisation that I can run 12.5 km -- I’d just rather not. 
-10/10, but also, strangely, 10/10, because go me??
And finally, another bike tour.                                                                              
One does not simply go to Copenhagen and not ride a bike. This particular tour was focused on the innovative architecture of the city, and again, we stopped far too many times for my liking. Thankfully I was not the only one who showed up for this particular tour, and I found myself surrounded by mainly middle aged Americans seeking a cultural experience of Europe. Bleh. Meanwhile, Queen’s Bicycle was playing on loop in my head, and I was just giddy to be riding around on the city’s most popular form of transport.

This is the type of bike I could have ridden; a nifty little foldable thing with weird handling. Sorry to disappoint, but I went with a regular old bicycle, because I thought navigating a European city where they ride/drive on the opposite side to Australia and are infamous for their bike traffic was already going to be hard enough.
I was impressed with the biking infrastructure in Copenhagen, and loved cruising past impressive skyscrapers, through dynamic neighbourhoods and amongst enviable university housing (big missed opportunity to study in Denmark, tbh). In terms of activeness, I’d have to rate the tour a 7/10; we stopped a lot, but we also climbed a lot of stairs to reach the top of the city’s newest urban development: a waste powered building that features a gimmicky, artificial ski slope running from its roof down to the ground of the sloped frame. Hopefully I did just enough physical activity on this tour to cancel out the overpriced Chai Latte I indulged in at the “ski chalet.”

The view from the top of Urbanhill. Two things: one, the ‘ski slope’ is simply silicon lubricated (lol) astroturf, but I did see people getting some good speed on the slope; and secondly, this place boasts the ‘best view of Copenhagen.’ PUH-LEASE. 
Clearly, I love to stay active. In summer you could catch me swimming, kayaking and cliff diving all over Europe, but it looked a little different in the winter. I’ll keep trying to incorporate enjoyable exercise wherever I may find myself venturing to next!

Why do you still wear that thing? - Chap. 10
Staying off her feet was impossible, even if it was recommended by her doctors. Lena was practically born running and death wouldn't stop her.
Emily wanted to though, whenever she saw Lena jogging on the treadmill or heading out for a run, Emily was bit hesitant now. She never said anything except putting on a smile and telling her to be careful. Lena looked like she understood. The recent scare had been enough to shake them both. She started to wake from nightmares and flailed as if being pinned down. It was like the Slipstream accident was only yesterday.
It hadn't, and Emily hated that she had to keep reminding her.
She wasn't angry at Lena though, she never could be. The ex-pilot couldn't control her illness and Emily wanted to step in.
No, she was angry at someone else. And while she still blamed herself slightly, she mainly blamed that man.
That man who targeted Lena because she was defending someone else.
That man who noticed her pained breaths.
That man, who could have just walked away, decided to hurt her.
Because she would have helped the police? Because he knew what she meant to others? Emily didn't know. But she was going to find out.
She didn't start as an engineer, so making phone calls was easy. She already had an idea of who to call based on the letters Lena received. So many people were touched by her bravery, the least Emily could do was ask.
Only a small group of people were fully ready to follow her, and she understood. She was asking a lot with this quest of hers.
So she took the leap and grabbed Lena's hoodie while she was asleep.
Emily sighed and pulled her hair from the inside of the hoodie before putting it up into a pony tail. She rubbed the wraps on her hand before double checking the ring was secure. While what she was about to do was far more dangerous, she would probably be more devastated if she lost the ring or left it at home. She would never do that to Lena.
Looking back at her wife's sleeping face only reassured her what she was doing was right. People needed to know that someone was going to stand up for them when the police couldn't. It wasn't going to be easy but…
Emily glanced at her phone before kissing Lena's cheek and heading out the door.
The others were waiting for her on their front porch.
“So?” Lucio spoke quietly.
“Sound asleep.”
“Alright then, let's ride on.” Jesse jumped back into his truck which barely shook anymore due to the cargo in the back. “Who's riding with me?”
“I know how you drive and I'm not dying tonight,” Ana chuckled and walked over to the armored van. “May I?”
“After you!” Reinhardt barely had an indoor voice, Emily was surprised none of the neighbors woke up as he bowed and opened the door for Ana.
Lucio shook his head and skated towards Jesse.
“I am not listening to Hasslehoff all the way there, man.”
“It's a classic!”
“Shall we get going?” Zenyatta smiled towards Emily before wheeling towards the van. Emily followed, but glanced back at the house one more time. “It's okay to be nervous.”
Emily sighed and got inside, looking over at Zenyatta adjusting himself on the lift.
“Well, we are about to do something dangerous but...” Emily chuckled to herself. “I suppose it's what needs to be done.”
“Never forget what you're fighting for,” Ana reminded her with a small smile as Reinhardt laughed and started the car.
“Oh I won't,” Emily grinned back.
Something was going on with Emily.
Whenever Lena stepped back in, Emily always seemed to be ending a call. Lena would ask but she would insist it was just work being a pain, even on her leave. However, she would only have calls when Lena wasn't there. She could be in the shower, on the treadmill, out to try and get Lucio to let her into the station, and Emily would always be on call.
Lena wasn't the jealous type, far from it, but she couldn't help but become more curious.
Emily still showered her with affection, from cuddling on the couch to kisses on the back of her neck to even more intimate things.
But one day, she found a note and realized that her hoodie was missing.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!” Lena rolled off the bed, grunting as she hit the floor before quickly standing and grabbing her phone. One quick press on her quick call as she put on pants made her anxiety worsen. Emily's phone wasn't on. “Shit!” She pulled a shirt over her head and switched off hands as she selected another number.
“Fareeha- Fuck!” She tripped over something but quickly grabbed her phone again. “Listen, Emily's gone after him, she left a note and her phone isn't on and they said you know where it is! We have to go help them!”
She hissed as her shoulder bumped into the door frame and jumped into her shoes.
“Yes “them”! She says she got some people to help her! Please, 'Reeha, help!” She sighed and hung up after the Captain's quick reply.
“Emily what were you thinking?!” Lena shouted to herself before she slammed the door behind her.
She didn't know where she was going but as long as she went in Fareeha's direction, it didn't matter, as she could hear the Raptora from a mile away.
Fareeha tossed a helmet to Lena and steadied the bike as she got on.
“I made some calls and we're going to meet with them!” Fareeha said above the roar of the motor. “There's quite a few that were able to come but it's probably better than what they've got!”
“Roger!”
While Fareeha wasn't a bad driver by any standard, the urgency made her take as many shortcuts as possible and the Raptora delivered.
They still weren't the first to be at the meeting spot however.
Two men were leaning back on motorcycles and Lena was half afraid that they had stumbled onto someone else's conversation, that would take too much time. She relaxed only when one of them glanced over and raised their hand.
“Hey Captain!”
Fareeha moved the Raptora next to them, letting Lena get a better look. The bikes were in rougher condition than Fareeha's prized bike, but their jackets are what caught her attention. There was a patch on each one of a striking cobra surrounded by smoke. She had seen the logo somewhere before and she noticed a long time ago that the Captain's jacket had a miscolored spot, as if a patch was missing.
Wait.
“No way,” Lena spoke up and Fareeha looked back at her. “No way! You were in a biker gang?!”
At that, Fareeha blushed and one of the men chuckled while the other gasped.
“Captain, you were in a biker gang?! You never told us!” Even though she glared at him, he just cackled.
Lena couldn't believe it. The Helix Gang was renowned for their attacks against a corrupt official known as Anubis. Every local station had talked about it nonstop for a while, about how the gang were the ones to get all the evidence and proof and released it to the public. They were vigilantes that Lena used as examples.
And while the press never got pictures of the gang members, Lena had a pretty good guess.
“You were Pharah.” It was not even a question, Fareeha's outlook had changed pretty significantly around the time Helix took Anubis down and Pharah had sent a message stating exactly what Fareeha believed in.
Her nervousness only confirmed it further.
“Yes...I was.” Fareeha sighed and rubbed her eyes. “That was a while ago, however.”
“And yet she still kept our numbers, ain't that touching?” One of the men grinned at Lena. “I'm Saleh, nice to meet you!” He jabbed a thumb towards the other man. “That's Tariq, but he's still Rookie to me.”
“You're never letting that go, aren't you?” Tariq sighed.
Fareeha looked like she was about to reprimand them both before the beat-up van entered the small lot. Instead, the Captain just sent them both a glare before returning her attention to the tired doctor who climbed out of the van.
“We got as much as we could.”
“Thank you, really.” Her thanks managed to get Angela to smile slightly and Lena thought about maybe using it against them one day.
Well, if they all got out of this alive.
Hope only seemed to grow as both Genji and Winston stepped out of the van as well.
“I have a friend who knows good weaponry,” Genji chuckled. “It's all in the back.”
“I also have a friend.” Winston hummed and adjusted his glasses. “But they specialize in creating structures. She did complete the order for armor though. Both us and the cars.”
Lena blinked as she watched them all begin talking about their plans. They couldn't have had all this stuff ready in the time she called Fareeha. Her mind swam briefly, questioning how much time had passed before the Captain squeezed her shoulder.
“We were planning on doing something anyway,” Fareeha admitted with a smile. “Someone higher up is blocking any attempts towards catching these people.”
“And we happen to be specialists,” Tariq finished. “Those guys though?” He glanced over towards Winston and the others. “Captain just called them and they were already set up.”
Winston and Genji seemed to share a grin of pride while Angela's smile seemed more reserved.
They had wanted to help Lena, after all.
And still they weren't the only ones, as a car rolled up to the lot.
“Officer Oladele reporting!” Orisa cheerfully saluted once she got out of the car. “Bullet proof vests and ammo are in the trunk!”
“They're heavy too, so this suspension is probably going to be shot,” Hana leaned out of the window casually. “Sorry Cap, looks like we gotta get a new one. I recommend pink!”
“Pink?” Genji smirked. “What about green?”
“Pink or nothing, ninja!” Hana huffed and crossed her arms. “No one expects a pink car to be packing!”
“I also vote of green!” Orisa chimed in, ignorant to Hana's gasp of betrayal.
Saleh also jumped into the argument that ensued while the rest of them discussed their plans further.
“Speaking of blending in, how are we supposed to get in their without getting shot from across the way?” Tariq gulped.
“Well technically we could try to sneak in, but with our time constraints, we don't know how the others are going to also advance.”
“True...”
There was a silence split between the thoughtful group until an uninvited guest spoke up.
“I could disable the alarms for you~”
The argument halted and everyone turned to meet the gaze of the haunting hacker.
“You?!”
“Miss me?” Sombra chuckled as they leaned on the railing in front of the closed diner. “It has been a while Tracer, sorry about your heart.” They almost looked like they meant it, but the ambiguity only frustrated Lena more.
“You knew what would happen! You worked with them!”
“Hey,” Sombra scoffed. “I only work for myself! Well, and for paychecks, but they've been paying me in peanuts lately.” They smirked. “That's why I turned off the alarms for your girlfriend~ I'll even throw in those papers you dogs need.” They gestured to the officers.
“What do you want?” Fareeha glared at her intently, and Lena knew from experience that it felt like the fire of a thousand suns.
“Jeeze, you Amaris have really scary stares, you know that?” Sombra chuckled and pulled out a tablet, displaying the picture of a tall man in dark clothes, hiding his face. “I need you to let this guy go past you. No killing, no harming, and the mask?” Their smirk faded into a snarl. “It stays on. Got it?”
Chills went down Lena's spine, but from the looks of the others, she wasn't alone. Sombra was not to be trusted but with the life of the others on the line, they were pushed into a corner. And there was one way out of it.
“Right,” Lena said.
Almost immediately, Sombra's smirk returned and they pocketed the tablet.
“Great! Then I'll see you all later~” And before any response could be made, they slipped back into the shadows. The tension still remained, however.
It was time for the cavalry to move out.
“Can we trust them?”
“More than they can trust us!”
“Not at all then.”
“Aw, are you worried about Gabe? Just relax! You heard the boss, Talon needs a change in management.”
“Hm.”
“Speaking of, how did your mission go?”
“He is dead.”
“Are you sure? The last time we got you a mission, she survived and they're hunting your ass-”
“He. Is. Dead.”
“… Alright, whatever you say, Widow~”

We All Stand Together
Fandom: Mass Effect Rating: Teen for brief language. Characters: Female Shepard, Samantha Traynor Relationships: Fem!Shep/Samantha Traynor Warnings: None. Notes: Done for LGBTQ+ Shepard Week, for the prompt: Pride. Also posted on my AO3, here:
Summary: Though no one really knows where she goes, Commander Shepard takes a week off every year. Until the Reapers invade, that is. When the time for her to take a vacation comes around, she starts acting strangely, and it's up to Samantha Traynor to figure out why... 
Once a year, without fail, Commander Shepard requested approximately two weeks off. And every year, no matter what, her main vacation ended up being during the same time of year. Her reasons tended to be vague, but never questionable enough for anyone to be concerned. Of course, considering her reputation for overworking herself, most of her superiors likely would have been fine with things even if Shepard submitted no justifications for her request. Whatever she took a break for was something she had more than earned. Few were privy to her life outside of work (made evident by the fact that even Cerberus hasn't been aware of her twin’s existence), and even those who were didn't know where she went during her annual leave.
Not until the Reapers arrived, at least.
In the year of their invasion, Earth was occupied during the time Shepard always requested a few days off. When she made no attempt to ask for such, most assumed it was because of her focus on the war, but others caught the strangeness that plagued her gaze. They didn't ask for fear of worsening her wounds- seeing as she was so often uncomfortable with speaking of her own ailments. Generally, it was safer to wait for her to initiate a conversation about such things than to bring up the topic yourself. Of course, there were rare exceptions…. as well as individuals who were unaware of this ‘rule of thumb’. Take the young Samantha Traynor, for example, who felt a mighty need to try to help her commander, but kept quiet mainly due to anxiety.
There came a day, however, where the opportunity to speak arose in an unusually natural fashion. The Normandy was approaching the Citadel for restocking, and Shepard had requested someone inform her of their arrival. To Traynor’s surprise, the Commander had muted her comm, forcing someone to deliver the news in person. Being the communications specialist… she decided to do such. Although it certainly wouldn’t be the first time she went to Shepard’s personal quarters, it would perhaps be the time that made her the most nervous. She had noted the woman’s unusual behavior, as well as the tension perpetually wrapped around her shoulders, and honestly wasn’t sure how well talking to her would go- regardless of whether or not the issue of her health was brought up. But despite her worries, she made her way to the top of the Normandy.
Knock knock. Her hand graced the panel, a soft touch still allowing sound to fill the small space. Inside her chest her heart pounded, blood rushing to and fro, breath locked in her lungs. When no reply came she hesitated, unsure of how to proceed. It’s okay, Samantha, she thought to herself, she asked me to let her know when we started our approach. Definitely won’t get mad at me for coming up here. After a slight pause, as well as a deep breath, she lifted her hand and knocked once more, this time a fair bit louder. It took a moment, but shuffling noises started coming from Shepard’s room. They were quiet, akin to the rustling of fabric, and it sparked another spike of panic in Traynor’s chest. Is she…? The comms specialist thought, not entirely sure where exactly her worries were going. Luckily the sounds stopped just a few seconds later, followed by a quiet voice.
“Yeah?... Come on in, I guess…” It was the softest she had ever heard Shepard talk. Her voice was as low as ever, but there was no pain, nor harshness, nor hint of air scraping past gravel-covered lungs. There was a blankness to it, yes, but a clean slate could be wondrous when one was used to red ledgers. “Just… don’t mind the mess, yeah?” The commander added, tone now displaying a bit of embarrassment. Completely unsure of what to expect, Samantha opened the door, peeking in slowly. To her surprise she saw… well, everything in a completely orderly fashion. There were no dead fish in the tank, no clothes thrown messily in a pile, and no scraps of paper scattered around a trash bin. Perhaps the only thing ‘out of place’ was the Commander herself. Shepard was sitting still upon her bed, a cardboard box lying half-closed next to her. The sullenness of her expression stood out- so vastly different from the vibrancy of her surroundings.
“Ahem, Commander?... We’ve started our approach to the Citadel. Joker estimates we’ll be there within the hour,” Traynor said, leaning slightly against the wall. For a few moments Shepard didn’t respond, her gaze locked on something within the box next to her, a tint of sadness creeping into her expression. Eventually she looked up with a tight frown, nodding swiftly before returning her attention to the container’s contents. I wonder what’s in there, Samantha thought, concern collecting in her chest. Knowing that she didn’t get many chance to speak to the Commander in private, she quickly decided to press the issue. If there’s any way I can help her… “Are… are you feeling alright, Shepard? Do you need me to get anything for you?” She asked, eyebrows knitted, eyes filled to the brim with a genuine sense of worry. To her utter surprise, the Commander replied immediately.
“You could find me a way to get the Reapers off of Earth.” There was no softness left in her voice, just a firmness, one paired with an evident ache. Although it had always been clear that Shepard cared deeply about her homeworld, and hated those who now threatened it, there seemed to be something extra in the way she now expressed those feelings. Clearly there was more to the situation than a simple bout of anger or misery. Maybe I should try to call up Chambers?... Samantha wondered, desperately unsure if she could handle this herself- or even if the soldier would let her help. No, at least not yet. I’ve got to do what I can when I can.
“I… I know you miss Earth, Commander. All of us do. But there’s…” She started to say, tripping over her own tongue, trying hard to form sentences that were both coherent and comforting, “I’m not sure there’s much else we can do at this moment. We’re all fighting as hard as we can, Shepard. If I could think of anything else to further things- I mean, anything, I… I swear I’d let you know. I’m trying-”
“It’s alright, Traynor,” Shepard interjected, raising her volume a bit. There wasn’t any anger in her voice, surprisingly, nor any disappointment. “I know for a fact you’re doing your best. I know every member of my crew is trying their damndest to finish this, to drive those sorry fuckin’ bastards off our planet. I can see it in your eyes- their eyes, I can feel it in the air, see it in the way their bones shake, their bodies tense up every time the reports come in… I know everyone is giving it their all, and I couldn’t be prouder,” she continued, turning the situation on its head. The comforted was now doing the comforting. I get the feeling there’s a ‘but’ coming, though, Samantha thought, waiting for the Commander to speak again. “There’s just… something that usually happens around this time of year. I’ve only ever missed it twice, and both times it was because I was quite literally dead, as well as locked up in a Cerberus lab, taking a not-so-casual nap on a presumably uncomfortable slab.”
That… definitely hadn’t been what Samantha was expecting. It made sense, however, and was enough for her to work off of. She could pry a little further into the situation, find a way to either help Shepard go without the event, whatever it was, or recreate it somehow, probably, and- she paused her thoughts for a moment, noticing the Commander reopening the box by her side. Both of her hands reached in slowly, cradling something just out of Samantha’s view. The soldier glanced up quietly, conflict clear in her eyes, before slowly lifting something up. Only a split second passed before understanding dawned on Traynor, who let out a soft ‘oh’. Part of her had wondered why Shepard trusted her with this, but everything made a lot more sense at that point. Held carefully in the Commander’s hands was what could only be a flag, adorned with rainbow colors, folded up as neatly as possible.
“I… guess there’s no harm in letting you know,” she said, gently placing the object to her left, then reaching back into the box. Slowly, while her companion watched with curiosity clear in her eyes, she removed a few more items. Most were pictures, but there were a few mementos from past parades as well. “Every year I go back to Earth. I go back to my hometown, donned in civies, and march with people like me. No one ever recognizes me- ‘m just another face in the crowd, another person unafraid to be myself. But this year…” Shepard trailed off quietly. There seemed to be a sort of lump in her throat, based on the way she struggled to swallow her words. The sight felt unnatural, almost artificial, the very idea of the Commander left vulnerable being nigh impossible to digest. It worried Samantha at first, before lighting a fire in her soul. Somehow, someway, she was going to fix this. She was going to make Shepard smile if it was the last thing she did.
“This has to be hard for you, Commander, but… but what if we could, well, have Pride here? On the Citadel, I mean?” She started to say, ideas rushing madly through her brain. Immediately she piqued her friend’s interest, and so she continued, mouth barely able to keep up with her mind. All the while she pulled out her tablet, starting to run searches. “There are thousands and thousands of refugees, right? Plenty of them are from Earth or other human colonies. There are bound to be hundreds who fall within the spectrum, considering the percentage of the overall population who do, and surely some of them would be interested in getting together, right? I know it wouldn’t be the same, but it’s worth a shot, isn’t it?” Samantha asked, taking a breath for what felt like the first time in several minutes. More ideas popped into her head a second later, making her gasp quietly, and she doubled her typing speed. “We could invite Steve, if you wanted. I don’t think he mentioned having any plans for today. He might know some others who would be interested, too.”
“You know, Traynor, I had… given up. On going to pride this year, I mean. I…” The Commander started, softly, taking a moment to wipe a few tears away. “Thank you. This is… If we can do this, if this happens, it’ll be exactly what I need. I mean, I can’t say no to a good pick-me-up, right?” She added, letting herself chuckle a bit. More tears trickled down her cheeks, but she made no note of it.
“Well, it looks like we’re in luck, Commander. According to the holonet, there are already people arranging a Pride event today. Guess you weren’t the only one missing Earth,” Samantha said, passing the tablet to Shepard with a grin. “So, do you want to go?” She asked. Without a moment of hesitation she received a frantic nod in return, followed by something she hadn’t expected: A hug. The Commander wasn’t often one to show affection in such an open way, but she wasn’t about to complain (especially not when their height difference let her rest her head perfectly in the crook of Shepard’s neck). Smiling softly she returned the embrace, one of her hands rubbing the other woman’s back, the quietest of sighs escaping her lips. “It’s alright, Shep,” she murmured, “everything is going to be just fine. Now c’mon, we have Pride to get ready for.”

Dreams or Nightmares
I’m just not allowed to have dreams anymore I guess. When I dream, on the rare occasions that I do have them, they’ve been kinda messed up. If you know what lucid dreaming is, it’s basically when you can control your dreams. It normally happens in the middle of the dream, like when you’re doing something in the middle of your dream and something alerts your conscious that you’re not actually awake, but dreaming. Many people have had these dreams and agree that most are splendid, mainly because when you learn you’re in the dream you can do whatever you dream of. Well, except for me apperently, a long time ago in my sophomore year of high school I had a 8 month long experience that when I fell asleep in this realm, I awoke in the dream realm. Well in the dream it was pretty much hell, another story for another day, and when I went through the day there and fell asleep in the dream realm I awoke here in “reality”. Let’s just say it felt like I never got sleep and It pretty much drained the life out of me, and I can’t forget what I experienced in that realm even though i wish i could. I don’t have those dreams anymore, mainly because I’m pretty sure I died in a collapsing building, not for sure, but pretty sure.
After that experience I didn’t have many dreams, just falling asleep and waking up rested was enough for me to be greatful, I did have an occasional dream, but it didn’t last long and were semi lucid dreams, basically right before I woke up I realised it was a dream and normally cursed myself because I would get excited and wake myself up before I could actually enjoy the dream
Well last night I had a dream, or a nightmare. I don’t know why, or understand why my dreams are like this, and it makes me question my sanity. Like the fact I remember more of my dreams than I remember where I set my phone or wallet, which bothers me slightly less than the dreams I have to remember… like this one.
*I awoke in a bed of tall grass, laying on my back I could see a thick canopy of autumn leaves above as glimmers of sunlight barely braking through the branches, I could hear the wind rustling through the grass and the whistle of it flowing through the leaves. The air was humid and warm, generally pleasant as I started coming to my senses. I rubbed my eyes naturally, because I had just woken up.*
*After rubbing the sleep from my eyes I can’t help but notice, my hands aren’t hands. They’re paws, which instantly made me realise that I was dreaming, which kinda excited me due to the fact that I should be able to control this dream but made things seem even more off. I gave myself a quick check as I realised that I was covered in a reddish/orangish/golden hued fur.*
(To those that know me, yes I’m a furry. But I also believe everyone has their own spirit animal, and how they act and hold themselves shows what kind of spirit animal you are, but you can’t really determine it by yourself, though you can always have a good idea what you are, it takes others to help you define it yourself)
*I laid there for a “small” amount of time, pondering what this feeling I was feeling inside was. Almost like anxiety, mixed with fear with an underlying amount of panic. I was feeling like I was in the same spot for to long, my heart began to race slightly as I cautiously picked my head up over the top of the tall grass and checked my surroundings*
*The forest around me was full of larger older oak trees and thinner ashes and maple trees. There were birds singing their songs and for a moment I felt like an idiot, seems like I had fallen asleep on a sunny afternoon on a nice and peaceful day. I stood up and looked around and noticed that there wasn’t a path anywhere, literally just a spot in the forest where I had been laying down.*
*I cocked my ear to the side, listening to the wilderness. Nothing out of the ordinary, so I just picked a random direction and went. The going was easy, just some flatland forest, the leaves blew in the wind and swirled the foliage of the beautiful autumn scenery. This went on for a while, like what felt to me to be a few hours. The whole time as I walked I cautiously, watching every step I took and listening to nature as I tried to be as quiet as possible.*
*I noticed the woodland creatures, the chipmunks and squirrels skittering around the trees and piles of leaves, the bees flying around and gathering pollen, I almost stepped on an anthill even. Everything seemed so tranquil. I was completely baffled on this dream, nothing, I mean nothing made sense. I didn’t question it, I didn’t have anything to really question. I was genuinely enjoying the trip through the woods, but deep down inside I couldn’t understand this feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. It burned and churned my stomach. My only conclusion was that maybe I was hungry?*
*eventually I found a few berries, no idea what kind but they were pretty sweet, but had a tart aftertaste. It calmed my stomach, at least stopped the churning. Not long after words I stubled across a small brook, and knew that a little running water should lead to a larger Body of water. So I followed the brook to a stream that eventually led to the top of a Cliffside waterfall, it wasn’t more than 1 story tall but the view was just amazing, the rainbow mist coming from the falling water, the ripples that reflected the light on the waters surface. And the fact that there was more than likely fish in that pond made me think “why not” and I dove from the top of the cliff into the pond below.*
*I instantly regretted that decision. The water was frigid cold, literally enveloping every one of my senses with its freezing chill. As I looked around I didn’t see any fish, the water hurt my eyes and the need for breath drove me to the surface. It seems that this pond was much deeper than I had originally thought, I swam harder to the surface but it seemed like it was pointless. I was being pulled down by the current the waterfall was making. Panic, fear, self hatred for being stupid. I felt like I was actually going to die there, at the bottom of a pond, I couldn’t hold my breath any longer and as I watched the bubbles leave my mouth and my vision start to fade to black..*
*it was in those remaining seconds when my lungs filled with water and I hung there in a weightless mass, and my eyes started to close, that it happened. Something that made my whole body literally freeze up, more than bone chilling water could ever.*
*in front of me materialized figure of a man, one that was composed of a literal solid black form. He had no features, literally just a silhouette of a man, about the same size as me. At first I was suprised, but my suprise was the replaced with the excruciating pain, my whole body began to be enveloped with a burning sensation, it made me physically want to scream at the top of my lungs, except they were filled with water. The silent screams of agony, the writhing underwater as my past came up to the surface. I saw every atrocity I had committed out of lust, anger, envy, pride, came into my head. The torment it caused me, to others, I couldn’t not cry. The being in front of me smiled a large, razor sharp smile. As if it was laughing almost, mocking me and my horrible life I’ve had to endure, the secrets I haven’t told anyone that haunt me to this day. It seemed to enjoy this.*
*thoughts streamed through my head. How I can’t forgive myself for the things I’ve done, the guilt that forever binds me to the fate that I will have to face, much like this hell I’ve been going through at this exact moment. How horrible I’ve been to everyone I care about. The Pitiful, worthless sack of shit I am and how out of everyone I know I’m the worst. And how I know it is all true. My soul felt every tinge of despair and sadness, hatred and how if I near others all I will bring them is just that.*
*I sat there for what seems like years, contemplating every reason, every fault I’ve made, and how I deserve everything I’ve been given in my life because that’s what I gave out for years. I sat there accepting my fate, and to just endure it the best I can, no matter how unbearable it may seem. And just as I was about to go to sleep, I thought I felt a tug at my tail, I turned my head slightly to have my view drift to a soft light. My body was numb by now, I could barely think, I was apperently moving, but I couldn’t comprehend what was happening. Where was the grinning man? Am I dead? What’s going on? My vision went black for a while? I don’t know how long*
*when my eyes opened I was throwing up all the muddy, mucky water I had inside me, the ground was dirt and rocks. My everything hurt, my bones, my head, my skin. I felt like I was sitting on a block of ice, so cold that it burned. After ridding my body of what felt like gallons of water, I rolled on my back, my breathing was ragged. But God did it feel great to breathe.*
*I was delirious, the least to say, I was shivering intensely, coughing still as I tried to make out where I was. There was a small fire next to me, above It was a stand made of some sticks, which had a few fishes roasting on it, I wasn’t far from that waterfall. Again my mind was racing. How, who, what happened? Why am I alive? I began weeping, of joy? Sadness? I couldn’t tell, I just hated myself and everything I had done, the things I haven’t done, the things I should have done. But I was glad to be alive, to breathe and to appreciate not being at the bottom of that forsaken pond*
*I rolled onto my left side, still coughing up little bits of water. And I tried to push myself up off the ground. My arms were like rubber, and I collapsed audibly as my body hit the ground. I was exhausted, but I heard some footfalls from the right, I looked over to see a tall solid black creature walking this way and my heart felt like it was exploding in chest. Like I needed to run, run as fast as I could and get the fuck out of here before anything else could happen, but as I tried to get up and book it my body was still fighting me. My first step was pretty ok, the second didn’t get anywhere close and I sent myself sprawling across the ground. Knocking my head against something as a sharp pain knocked my senses out again.*
“No, no please oh please no, I’m sorry, I’m sorry so sorry”
*I was petrified, I was broken, and barely alive. And sure as hell didn’t want to go through that hell again. But I knew what I deserved would always come back and serve me my justice. I was holding my hands up pleaing for forgiveness and mercy, from this solid black creature with what looked like the smile on its face looking down at me, on my back accepting my defeat.*
*I couldn’t help but cry when this was happening, the creature grabbed both of my hands and held them together and shook me, In that moment I thought I was going to actually die this time when the shaking stopped. I was holding my precious breath when all I hear is*
“Calm the fuck down and stop being a little bitch, like holy fuck you’re a hand full” the voice was that of a woman’s
*my eyes were closed, but as I slowly opened them I realised that it was a solid black fox with eyes that were whitish gray. I looked at her confused and scared, and almost intranced. I couldn’t tell what was going on. I was completely confused, I stared at her blankly*
“You’re something else you know that, what dumbass jumps head first into a shallow pond?! I’m suprised you didn’t break fucking your neck! Then I’M the one that has to carry your fat ass from the bottom to surface AND drag you all the way over here AND take care of YOU when I can barely do that for MYSELF. AND NOT EVEN ONE THANK YOU!” Her eyes felt like ice, her stare was cold and angry. But behind the icy stare it felt like she was generally concerned for my safety and I hadn’t done anything but be a bother to her and that it was also annoying her.
*I looked her back in the eyes, glanced over to the waterfall in wonder and fear. Then back to her, both of her hands had mine in a vice grip. I swallowed the lumps in my throat that I had gotten from crying and looked at her and sniffled.*
“T-thank you, I-im sorry, I thought you were going to kill me…”
“Why the hell would I do that? If I really wanted you dead I would have left you in the pond”
“Paranoid…”
*she rolls her eyes and looks me directly in the eyes*
“I’m going to let your hands go, and you’re gonna stop freaking out on me alright?”
*I nod*
*she relased her grip from my hands, and took a step back, and looked at me with eyes that shouted “you don’t want to fuck with me” as much as they showed “are you okay?” *
*sat up on my elbows. We just stared at each other at first, but I cast my eyes away.*
“Really, thank you, in all honesty I felt like that’s how I was going to die”
*I picked up my eyes and looked back, her eyes seemed softer as she picked a seat across the fire from me and sat*
“You’re welcome” she said then staring into the fire
*as I tried to sit up my arm gives out and I collapse again into the dirt*
*she sighs heavily, gets up from her seat and comes over to my side as I struggle to sit up, when she pushes me back to the ground.*
“Sit still”
*I look at her slightly confused, but too weak to do much against it.*
*as I try sitting up again she pushes me back down, more aggressively than the last time and shoots me a warning glare. I decided to stop resisting, she picks up a fish on a stick and begins pulling the fish apart. Eventually handing me a few pieces.*
“You didn’t have t-” I began
“Shut up and eat” she stated
*I take my pieces of fish and eat quietly*
*After finishing our pieces of fish she goes and gets a small wooden cup that was made from a branch, and fills it up with water from the pond. I’m laying on my back overcome by fatigue, when she gets next to me sitting on her feet and picking my head up and resting it in her lap. She holds the cup up as I state.*
“You shouldn’t h-” I slowly started saying
“Don’t tell me what to do.” She stated
“Yes mam”
* I hesitantly take a sip of the water, it’s cold, but not as cold as before*
*I finish half of it and she takes the other half of the cup for herself, fatigue and exhaustion start overwhelming me. As I’m about to pass out I look up at her…*
“Thank you so much…”
And drift into my consciousness in the real world I wonder why I’m so weird. Why any of this happened, and what does it mean to me and those around me. I defiantly need to strive to be a better person to those around me and help them by being there in any shape, way, or form. And don’t blame anyone that doesn’t want to be around me. I don’t want to be around me. But if there are those that do want to be in my life I’ll do everything and anything in can to do what I can to help and support them, and try to not just better my life as much as I can but better the lives around me.
