I feel like compared to other older anime fans I do a good job at like not being a dick to people who like popular stuff cause it’s not going to get them interested if I shit on what they like with something they never heard of nor would it be right of me to judge them when I don’t really watch popular stuff- but every time I get recommend anime videos, see it’s about normie shit and people are like “guys this is the most forgotten anime ever but it’s from a decade ago” or “here’s a recap of a bunch of anime protagonists but the oldest they go back is the 90s” I’m sitting there going “you guys are really allergic to actually look into anything past the 90s and for what?”
